Frauds, Worst experience ever. I was lied about my car's battery health just so that they don't have to cover it under warranty, additionally billed me for they battery check. 2 days later I get my battery tested at Portland street Honda and they replaced it under warranty.

I bought my first Honda this week and I had a wonderful experience with Colonial Honda! First I met with Drew in sales. He was very friendly and helpful. I had to bring along my 3 month old daughter with me, and she hates the car! So when we were going for our test drive, Drew offered to sit in back with her and keep her company, and she was content the whole drive! I then met with Charmaine in the finance department and she was also a pleasure to deal with, and also wonderful with my little girl. All staff was super friendly and made me feel super comfortable! I couldn't be happier with my experience at colonial Honda, or with my new civic! Thank you!

Both Curtis and Alysha exceeded our expectations. Curtis from the beginning was very open and attentive to our likes and dislikes. He was quick to get us into a vehicle that was initially thought to be beyond our budget. When it came to doing a test drive he was through when explaining the features and honest about his personal likes and dislikes. To have someone who was so personally invested in our happiness with the vehicle was a breath of fresh air. He was very knowledgeable and helpful from beginning to end exceeding all our expectations. We didn't feel pressured into anything and they were willing to work with us to get a deal done within our budget. They didn't walk us down a path out of our budget and listened when we told them we wanted to get a deal done asap. They followed up with us very quickly afterward and showed genuine concern for our happiness and comfort. The whole dealership was clean and welcoming. When we look at purchasing we we will definitely be back and hope to deal with both of these amazing people again.

Sales experience was great. Follow up on items marked for corrective actions, not so much. I have informed them about front speakers intermitent work, and window seal that has come off after first snow/ice. That claim was made 15 days after purchase date. Multiple phone calls, it took me personally driving there to talk to someone, and after that more promises were made. Someone was supposed to call me afterwards, it has been a month amd some later, still no phone call to even schedule a service appointment. In addition, i had to deal with a battery that was supposedly replaced when they showed the car and it wouldnt start, so now i am waiting at the car shop getting that replaced out of my own dime. Seriously dissapointed and want nothing mire to do with them. TLDR: they will make whatever it takes to make a sale and then youre on your own.

They replaced a couple of light bulbs in my heater controls. The heater control and stereo are on the same panel. They had to unplug the stereo to get to the heater control light bulbs. When I got my car back the stereo was flashing on the display to enter lock code. Stereo buttons no longer work and they refuse to fix it saying it was like that before.

Very upset with my overall experience here. Twice when I had work to be done, I had to wait 2-2.5 hours past the time they gave me to get my car. I got the message saying my car was ready, showed up and it wasn’t. More recently I’ve been trying to contact someone at the finance department about a lease assumption and it’s been 3 weeks without anyone getting back to me. I’ve called dozens of times and emailed, the receptionist always says she’ll “pass along the message and they’ll get back to me” but nothing has happened. Very frustrating and unacceptable situation.

Service department has dedicated personnel who do a good job but their logistics support is terrible. Twice, I booked my car for service after parts ordered and were supposed to be available. Each time, after waiting 1-2 hours, I was told the part was not available and would need to rebook. Last time this happened, was told the part would take 7 weeks to be delivered. Lousy service as a result. I will never go back there.

I was told this would only take a couple days so I didn't think anything of it. These papers took 4 weeks and I was forced to pay for a rental car during much of this period. Showed up and Bruce met me at the door took me out to show me 3 civics within my budget. Perfect! Was upfront and honest with each car and out of the 3, I ended up liking one specific one. Came back inside and went over the budgeting and helped me figure out exactly what I was getting into and how we could negotiate on the price. Despite the fact that it was only 8:45 am (ie: there were still 8:15 left before they close) there was no way to get it to Halifax before Monday. No effort whatsoever to help me. This place is hilarious because they will try to nickel and dime you for services you don't need, and they have the nerve to cold call or email you telling you to get your car serviced. If you need to call them though, you will be on hold for 30-40 minutes because nobody is at the desk. I purchased a Honda Civic 2013 last July from a very high pressure salesmen, Bill Spears. The vehicle was ok but it had been through more then what was disclosed to me via carproof, etc. The vehicle was suppose to have been serviced prior to me picking it up but I had to return it within a couple of days for them to change the brakes. The counter service was poor and the service man wrote ignorant remarks stating' not to ride the brakes' which I don't do. I asked him to remove the comment and he refused. I've had to bring it in a couple times after encountering poor service all the time. I tried to contact Mr. Spears on several occasions to which he was not available. After sales was also very poor. Now, less than a year later, I've gone to another dealer, traded in the vehicle and obtained much better service on every level!!!

In August 2019, I was in the market for trading my two year old Toyota Prius for a sporty Honda Civic Coupe. Based on google reviews and radio ads, I first took my business to Portland Street Honda first. The service offered there was not what Google reviews described. First, the salesman didn't have any coupes on the lot to test drive. Second, the salesman didn't focus his full effort on trying to make me a good offer on a vehicle as he was pre-occupied with other customers while I looked at a Honda Civic Touring sedan. Finally, the salesman was unable to offer me a good trade in for my two year old Toyota Prius. So I took my business elsewhere to Colonial Honda. Although Bruce was very busy with helping his clients he still took his time to offer me personalized service in the form of texting and email that helped me make a good purchase on a new vehicle. After some negotiation, Bruce and his sales team was able to offer me better trade in for my used Toyota Prius and had a nice yellow Honda Civic Coupe that Portland Street Honda was unable to offer. I was able to trade-in my vehicle and pick up my new civic the next day without issues. Thank you Colonial Honda for helping me get in the seat of a sporty Honda civic coupe that I really love.

We had a scheduled appointment for 8:30am today, though when my wife dropped off the car they tell her it's an all day drop off. I have the email stating "Appointment Reminder Date and Time: 10/06/2017 08:30 AM" This was not a "drop off the car anytime after 8 and before 1, vehicle ready by 3" notice. This was a "this is your appointment date and time" notice. We were to get our oil changed ($61+tx) and have a clunking noise in the front driver stearing assembly looked at for warranty (which we bought when we got the car, 8 yrs bumper to bumper). It happens fairly frequently when the car is stationary and you turn the wheel. They told her it would be $55+tx just to put it on the hoist. Is the car not going on the hoist for the oil change and 25+ point inspection that would include looking at the suspension and stearing assembly? My wife had to call someone to drive her home to Cole Harbour at 11 because the car would not be ready. No offer of courtesy shuttle (which was something dangled before us when I expressed concern about having to come from Dartmouth and back again during service appointments). My wife asked how long it would be before leaving and was told 3:30. 7 hours! She was told she would receive a call by 12pm. They called and told her that because we chose to forego the option B service last oil change that the noise was brake related. It never clunks when applying the brakes. It clunks when you cut the wheel while stationary. You pull up to a parking spot, shift to reverse then turn the wheel. CLUNK! Back in an put it in drive then turn wheel. CLUNK! How the hell is that brake related unless the braking system is falling off? Oh, she was also told it would be $147 for this "dis"service. By my math, $61 and $55 plus tax is less than $135. So the oil change is suddenly $73+tx? Prior to this, on 2 occasions, we brought the car in as there was an occasional buzzing rattle under the engine upon ignition. For the record, this is happening far more frequently. My wife was told it was because we are "turning the key too slowly" but they could not get it to reoccur themselves. What a stupid reason that is. I turn the ignition firmly and quickly without holding it passed the point of ignition. I've tested this "slow turn" theory of theirs following that diagnosis and actually could not get it to reproduce the rattle. Though the very next fast turn did produce it. It now happens quite frequently, though not ever time in any time of weather, humidity, temperature and time of day after letting the car sit or to drive it right after shutting it off. The car is extremely out of alignment and has been since we got it. We were offered an alignment from the dealership after our 1st oil change. Since I had not even hit a speed bump at low speed or parked against a curb I was not prepared for this assessment almost out of the gate. We got sold a car that had been abused in transit, got used as a loaner or something. I was getting the feeling this car was not brand new at the time of purchase. Finally: When we purchased that car we were told a full tank of gas would be included. In our excitement of getting our 1st new car, we drove away half a block and noticed it was almost empty. As well, the car had 411 km on it! "How does a brand new car have 411 km on it?" you ask yourself. Well, we were told that it had to be driven here from away for this sale. Moncton? The car had several paint chips and scratches on it upon looking at the car in bright daylight (bought it at night after work and assumed no issues AS IT WAS BRAND NEW!) We were given a touch up pen in compensation. It dried up upon 1st use and the touched up areas washed away quickly over time. Perhaps the issues with the car are because whoever drove it here from God-knows-where drove the piss out of it. We were told the oil changes would be every 10,000 km and that the engine had sensors for oil quality to let us know. Why then did it tell us to get the oil changed at 6000 the 1st time? I questioned that and they gave me a very non-committal answer.

My experience when purchasing a new Honda Civic SE at Colonial Honda was great. What was most meaningful about this experience was the help from Ryan. As a young adult who is still in school it really went a long way that Ryan tried to get me the best deal possible. I had gone to both HRM Honda dealerships to ensure that I was getting the best deal out there since funds are a little tight right now and my experience with Colonial was so much better than with Portland. While Portland street is a bigger location with new looks and more to offer in the way of amenities, my customer service experience was much more enjoyable with Colonial. Ryan's approach was much more appropriate and meaningful and I felt like he truly recognized what it might be like to buy a car for the first time, showing me extreme patience and understanding. I never felt rushed or pressured to purchase by Ryan but still felt like our business would mean a lot to him and he would do what it took to get us the best deal. Ryan was also good to clearly explain what was happening and check in with me to make sure he knew where I was at in the buying stages, curious about what I was needing from him. I felt as though this experience was truly about me and not just about Ryan moving me along quickly to meet his sales expectations as per my other experience. He truly earned my business. He was quick to respond to any questions or concerns I had and on top of this was very knowledgable. I would HIGHLY recommend working with Ryan and the colonial team as exceptional customer service is much more important to me than the physicality of Portland Street. Finally, 3 and a half hours after I arrived, they located my car(it wasn't logged properly) and they finished their inspection. That didn’t matter, Richard in the finance department got me setup with Honda Finance and the next day I picked up my new vehicle. Great team and great service. Called parts department about putting two new tires on the front, that were different than the back tires. Guy explains how tread depth is similar enough that it'll work. Go in to get my winters taken off & new tires put on, drop the car off at 930. Call them at 230 looking for an update, told they'll call me back. They don't. I show up at 445, they tell me they did change the front two tires. I go look at the car, and they put two new tires on, but they were not the tires I ordered. They were the same two tires I had on the back. Now I have to wait until the morning for parts department to call and see if they can order the tires I wanted, and they made me pay a $500 deposit essentially holding my car ransom because of tires I didn't even order. They also tried to claim these were the tires I initially ordered - then why did I have a conversation regarding the different tread patterns with the parts department? Essentially not only did I wait 8 hours for a simple tire change, they gave me the wrong tires, then forced me to pay a $500 deposit on tires I didn't want, and who knows how long I'll be waiting for the tires I actually ordered to come in. Needless to say it's the last time I'll be getting any service done here.

I booked an appointment with the sales manager Anthony to view and buy a vehicle, they still made the appointment for me knowing the car has been sold for days. Then they proceeded to tell me that there is another model similar to that one but that car wasn't on the lot, nor even on their inventory. The customer service was disgusting I waited for an hour to even be spoken to if I didn't walk in an office that the staff members were chatting in I would not have been "taken care of". I even asked the receptionist if she knew where the dealer was and she said that she didn't know his number. People came in, went on test drives and came back before I was helped. Very unprofessional, unorganized and rude staff.

Bought a used Honda CR-V, had to bring it back 3 times for the same problem that still shows up, sometimes the next day after the supposed fix. Was told manager Stewart would be calling me, that was 2 weeks ago, still haven't heard from anyone. When the sales person was selling the car, told us the brakes we're just squeaky because the car stood in the lot for tool long. Turned out the brakes we're 70% gone - were told that after the first fix. The problem with squeaky brakes came back after 2 weeks. Brought back the car again, was told the brakes were looked at and lubricated and everything is okay. Brought it back the third time after 2 weeks, this time was told again not enough lubrication. Guess what happened the next day after we picked up the car? This is our first experience with Honda after 20 years of Toyota and to say it's a disappointment is an understatement.

Dear Colonial Honda, I would like to let you know of how disappointed I am of the service I've gotten from your delearship. When we went there on January 24 for a regular oil change, we had the surprise of our lives to discover that something was "missing" from our vehicle. Add to that the fact that this part was over $300 and nobody was kind enough to let us know while we were present at the dealership. It was a lo-and-behold kind of revelation. While the video attached in the email was certainly appreciated, but the words used in the video and how the information was relayed to us was certainly not. We were even told that the engine undercover fell off without us knowing, without us hearing it fell off, without even hearing it clanking (at least). If we did not do our own investigation and asked questions to kind people from CSN Chapman and Bruce Honda, we would have spent $340 for something that was not even part of our trim, something that we can do without. I can only imagine how other people who would not bother to find the truth would be scammed into buying the engine undercover. We are new immigrants to Canada and $300 to an immigrant family is a large amount of money. $300 is a month's worth of food and medicine to our ageing parents back home. $300 is 5 months' worth of electricity bill back home. $300 is 30 months' worth of water bill in the Philippines. $300 is help we could give to our family. Nobody from Colonial Honda has even reached out to us between January 25 til today to make sure we have the right information. It's as if all Colonial Honda cared about was getting the sale. With this attitude, you have lost our business. While we may just be 1 client, please be assured that we will tell all our friends, family and co-workers about this. Frankly, we have wasted our time in dealing with something that wasn't suppose to be there in the first place.

I highly advise you not to buy your car from here, or get service here. Time and time again they proved to be incompetent and extremely hard to deal with. I bought a brand new 2017 civic touring from this location, the salesman that sold me my car immediately dropped me after the sale went through, despite many concerns with how my car was running, yes in typical car salesperson fashion. I decided to move to Alberta, and made an appointment to service my vehicle and get it prepared for the long drive. They inspected it and told me I needed a new filter, new brakes and new rotors, despite only being over a year old with 25,000 km on it. I said fine, as I was on a time crunch for my move and I wanted to be safe on the road. I went and picked up the car, and my brand new car interior was completely covered floor to ceiling in grease... I took it back and asked to the see the manager, and he refused to come out and speak to me face to face, instead had the service lady go back and forth. They fully detailed my car, and they did a good job. Fast forward to being in alberta, I needed to get an out of province inspection, and there was a noise coming from my brakes I needed looked at. I went to the local shop and they told me that the last service I had was horrendous, that they somehow managed to put on faulty brakes pads (the noise that i was hearing) and put the cabin filter in backwards and the casing on backwards... I drove across the country with faulty brakes... Thanks Colonial Honda! All I can say is that they clearly have incompetent and careless mechanics, be careful of this business as they are quick to take advantage of you.

Great dealership, no issues. Coexisted in this location for 40 years directly across from a mazda dealership and a block or two from a chev dealership. The complaints on this site have nothing to do with the buying or servicing experience. They are expanding their dealership parking lot by 30% and bought a few dilapidated/vacant homes (totally allowed and compliant with all zoning etc) that are being removed. Rats, asbestos and lead paint are being removed as well, much to the apparent chagrin of these negative reviewers.

Bought my Pilot at Colonial 2 years ago and had an excellent experience thanks to my salesman Brian Brake. I have been using Colonial's service department every since and have nothing but great reviews for the service advisors and technicians. I encountered one problem during my first service visit where my shiny new Pilot was scratched to the metal. After a few phone calls, the matter was professionally handled. I was given a rental and the damage was flawlessly repaired in a timely manner (within days).The staff at the Colonial have always welcomed my family and myself with smiles and greetings every time I visit. For those complaining about the loss of housing and lack of Colonial's care for the neighborhood. GET OVER IT AND MOVE ON! There are bigger and more important things to focus on. Real world concerns that have more bearing than the loss of a few derelict houses and your sense of neighborhood pride as it were. I could see people being upset if they didn't keep the grounds clean, ran a chop shop or had noise emanating all night but this is not the case. it's called modernization and progress people, please stop thinking backwards to the past and what was. I decided to contact Colonial Honda after a poor experience with another dealership and what a difference! I was extremely impressed with their high level of customer service, professionalism and their informative & friendly staff. During my initial call to inquire about service, the prices they quoted me were accurate upon picking up my vehicle after completion. I decided to do a drop off option assuming they would have it until end of day. I dropped it off at 0915 &, to my surprise, they were finished by lunch! Talk about being efficient! The team also, respectfully, recommended certain service options but didn’t pressure me into doing it. I would recommend Colonial Honda to others and plan on contacting them for future work. They have some service advisors with the worst/laziest attitude I've ever encountered: all the way from Vancouver, Calgary, Regina, Toronto and now here. You need to cross your fingers to get the right advisor who is willing to help. No more crossing fingers for me; I'm not taking my Honda back here unless absolutely necessary. The tech guys are really helpful and friendly. However, some of the service advisors act like they just want to get rid of you and move on to whatever they were doing. It's happened to me, and I see it happen to others ahead of me in the queue.

Buying was easy, servicing not so much. Our brand new CRV had an issue that service could not fixed for over 2 years. So we are now running out of warranty time and the issue still cant get fixed. In addition, the tech. service supervisor treats females like they are all idiots. Had other brands of cars with nice and competitively priced services. Will never bother with Honda cars or Honda "service" again. And prices are outrageous, without asking you they will fill your w.washer fluid and charge you same as 3 x4 l canisters of that staff:)) I dont know, maybe I am an idiot after all to pay for it!

This review is being made after 4 different visits to the service department for repairs and being frustrated each time with bad experiences and poor customer service at the front desk. I won’t list all my grievances (and sadly there’s quite a few) but I will mention this one as it’s still ongoing. On one of my visits a few months back I had them look at my front tire because the light kept coming on the dash and I had to keep filling it with air. They legitimately told me when I went to pick up my vehicle that nothing was wrong with my tire and that they just lowered the threshold for when the light on the dash should come on because it was being ‘too sensitive’. Really? As I’m being told this I’m replaying in my mind all the times I had to put air in my tire and it would be at 20 psi...how is there nothing wrong with my tire?! So I wasn’t impressed, but I had enough so I went on my way. I also feel it’s important to note that on this particular visit I also had an oil change done and the service department failed to properly close my hood, so on my way home when I hit the highway the wind scooped up under my hood and jerked it open really quickly and the sound of it catching against the latch and then banging up and down as I was driving 100/km really startled me and freaked me out because I didn’t realize what the banging was at first and then I had to pull over on the side of a busy highway at dusk to close it ...so I was pretty upset about that especially imagining that happening to my grandmother. Anyhow, I continue to add air to my tire for the next month or so with the intention going to another garage to get it fixed when I end up having a very bad transmission fluid leak (and when I say leak, I mean a huge puddle under my vehicle) so I had to tow it to Honda (because I have a warranty with them and thought maybe this particular job would be covered) ...otherwise I would of 100% had it towed anywhere else! While the vehicle is in the shop I figure I have a different mechanic this time and maybe it’ll be a different experience for me. So I ask him to take a look at the tire for me and replace my driver side brake light as it was burnt out. Upon picking up my vehicle, after they sorted out the transmission issue (and I do feel it’s important to note that my transmission issue wasn’t covered under my warranty so my advisor did work on lowering the price of the repair for me which I did appreciate) but when I ask about the brake light and tire the receptionist said that there was nothing written about that on my invoice and because it was Saturday no one was there to look at it. Fine, I take my keys and leave. Monday rolls around and my advisor texts me a link to a live video thanking me for my service and telling me that in a few days I’ll receive an online survey to rate my visit and if I feel that I can’t give him a good review to contact him so he can make it right. So I text him back saying that I was disappointed that my tire is still an issue and that the brake light wasn’t replaced and then I never heard anything back at all. So I call Honda again 4 days later to ask for this survey that I was told I’d get and surprise surprise I receive an email from the service manager stating that “at the dealership level we cannot control who and when someone receives a survey, this whole process is controlled by Honda Canada.” Really? So why did I receive a video chat saying I’d get one? Funny the moment I said I was leaving negative feedback this survey is suddenly unavailable to me ....So in summary, I’ve had far too many things happen to me during my visits and even more than I’ve listed here so needless to say I won’t be going back there if I can help it. I’ve received far better service at other garages. Edit: I’d like to let everyone know that Honda never called me like they stated they would, and this is also one of my other complaints, THEY NEVER CALL YOU WHEN THEY SAY THEY WILL! EVER!!! It’s so unprofessional! Go ahead Honda, tell me you’ll contact me again, I dare you! I could use a laugh. Smh

We have bought 2 cars at Colonial. Both times are sales experiences were excellent. Our most recent purchase was about 6 months ago. The salesperson, Matthew Merrick, was great. He took his time to show us all the features of the car that would have taken us some time to discover without his help. We didn't feel the high pressure or game-playing that go on at other dealerships. The business and sales managers that we dealt with were also professional. They explained the extras that were available but actually listened to us and were not excessive in pushing things that we told them we were not interested in.

We brought our 2016 Honda Civic in for a routine oil change and the brake check 379 code on the dashboard in August. The service advisor called us back saying that the rear brakes were at 0% which I found hard to believe since I had driven the vehicle 1500 kilometers the previous few days without any noises at all. They claimed all the sludge and dirt gets thrown back to the rear brakes is why they needed to be replace rotors and pads. And since the wheels are already off for brake inspection you might as well get it done or it will cost you more later. The bill came to just shy of $1,000 for routine maintenance. When I got home I pulled the last invoice for brake service and the technician had rated the brakes at 73% wear left, so how does a rear brake pad go from 73% to 0% in 17000 km s within one year? I would not recommend this dealer or at least not get your vehicle serviced there. In my humble opinion it seemed like they were trying to get the vehicle ready for a certified pre-owned vehicle at my expense.

I had previous dealings with a competitor that fell short of what my expectations for customer service or customer care should be. In 2019, I decided to check out the lot of Colonial Honda for the 2019 Civic Hatchback Sport, that's when I met Curtis for the 1st time. The entire experience was no pressure, no rush take your time to explore your options and crunch your numbers. It was by far the best experience I've ever had when purchasing a vehicle. After sale care and follow up was a very welcomed part of working with Curtis. I had the opportunity to work with Curtis & Colonial Honda again in June 2020 this time to trade in the 2019 for a 2020 Civic Hatchback Sport Touring, the second time around in a little over a year was just as memorable. Curtis & The Colonial Team worked diligently to put me in the 2020. I'll definitely be returning to and always recommending Colonial Honda.

My name is Amanda and Yesterday I went into your location to look at my options of trading my vehicle in for a new Honda, I was unlucky to get the sale person Byron Selig. At first he was nice, pushy but nice. I told him I'm on my lunch break and just wanted to know payments for a new vehicle. I felt forced into picking one car. But I was like okay, sure I like this car so let's do it. I really wanted to go into finance office to see what I would really be getting for payments, Byron only came to me with one offer and was firm in that. Even though your website offers 0.9 on new vehicles, he never gave me that option or the amount of years I was looking for. He saw his business manager for literally 5 mins for my one and only offer. So I took that time to call one of my car dealership friends to see if this sounds good because at this time I was feeling rushed and pushed. My friend said I should just go back when I feel comfortable. Big purchase right. Byron comes back and tells me unless I put a deposit down on that car I can not go into finance office. So I asked to come back later, and that I need to think about it. He told me the deal was off the table and that he wasted 1.5 hours with me and his business manager is not going to be happy at all! Collected his papers on his desk and walked away. I have bought many cars in my life and just bought my mother a car two weeks ago. I have also sold cars myself before. I have never been treated with so much disrespect from a salesperson ever, till now. The man didnt even give me a chance to think about it and in this business he should know not everyone that walks in will commit right there on the spot to a large purchase. I will never go to your location again if sale people are allowed to behave in that manner, and i will let anyone I know that is shopping for a vehicle my experience there and not recommend going there.

I had bought a car here 3 months ago and the outside thermometer wasn't working correctly along with a burnt out reverse light. I made an appointment to get these fixed considering I still had warranty on the vehicle. The service department refused to fix either of these because "it was not affecting the actually driving of the vehicle." And told me it would Cost of $200 dollars (local garage charged me 60 bucks). So I drove 45 minutes to get there and they did not even offer me a beverage. Will not be buying any more vehicles here. Stay away.

My experience with Colonial Honda was terrible. I am from Cape Breton, so I went online and found a car which I was interested in potentially buying. I called and the salesman were kind and seemed eager to help me in any way they could. We did all of the paperwork over the phone and decided on a date I could drive up from Cape Breton to come look at and potentially buy the car. On that day I drove up after work and when I arrived at Colonial and took a look at the car I was purchasing it was full of scratches, paint chips and scrapes. I was not pleased, so they offered me $400 off the price of the car, which wouldn't even cover the cost of getting the body work it needed done. When I refused their offer, the workers suddenly changed their attitude and began forcing a new car down my throat, which wasn't what my intentions were when arriving there. The car I was purchasing was pre-owned, but was basically brand new. It was a 2014 & very low kilometres. After an hour and a half of sitting there trying to bargain with them, they wouldn't budge, so I left car-less and annoyed. The staff were rude when I told them I was taking my business elsewhere and to top it off they put a hold on my bank account, and told me it wouldn't be refunded until up to 10 business days, which was never mentioned before hand. They were withholding MY money for a car that I wasn't even positive if I was buying. I ended up going to Portland Honda seeing as I hadn't drove 4 hours to leave without what I went there for, a car. I ended up with a brand new 2015 Civic, with payments lower than Colonial was giving me. The staff I dealt with went above and beyond my expectations.The finance manager stayed TWO extra hours after their shift just to ensure the paperwork was done so I could drive it home that night. On top of that my salesman stayed to wash and detail my car, although that's not even his job. I cannot thank the staff enough. Needless to say Colonial Honda lost a potential customer, but Portland Honda definitely gained a lifelong one!

Last time I had service on my car at Colonial I waited 6 hours for it to be completed. They of course apologized so I gave them another chance. This time I let them know I had to have the car back by a specific time (3.5hrs) after I had dropped it off. 15 min before I was to pick it up I got a phone call saying it hadn’t been started yet. That is completely unacceptable. Both my wife and I drive Hondas but we will not be getting it serviced at Colonial any longer.

I was very irritated with my service at colonial Honda today. I booked an appointment for 7:30 in the morning so I dropped it off the night before I asked the lady for the earliest appointment because I’m on vacation and I wanted my car back at least mid day. Well they didn’t even take my car in until after lunch and I couldn’t pick it up till 4 and all I was getting was an MVI and a oil change which takes an hour. Good thing I didn’t stick around and wait for my car. Then they wanted me to put $1000 worth of “suggested” work into it, When it passed safety. ????????

My experience was pretty good looked after and every time treated with curtosey. My only issue was there was nowhere to park which I'm sure their expansion everyone is complaining about will fix. Can't fight change the world is expanding everywhere. My house used to be all woods behind it. Now there's a sprawling neighborhood, nothing can stay the same forever.

I purchased 2018 Honda HRV from Honda Robie. Sales department was great. For the past three years I took my Honda there for services, tire changes, oil changes ect. Every time I would book a appointment to wait for the car, not a drop off appointment. Everytime I would sit for hours after the start time of the appointment before my car would even be taken inside. Today I arrived at 120pm for 130pm appointment and at 230pm my car had not moved and staff could not provide a estimate of when or if the car would be ready today. Than reception at service could not even garentee if my tires and MVI could be done by the end of the day. Unable to get a curiously car. I was given my keys back and told they did not know when or if they would be able to get to my car today. The appointment was made two months ago, knowing how busy it would be around this time. There is no customer services, no staff that is able to problem solve or adapte to a situation at this Honda Location. No one seemed to care.

I always get good service for my 2011 Honda Fit. This time I dropped off my car for regular maintenance, and about an hour later Colonial Honda sent me a text with a link to a video. They were recommending I have my air filter replaced and the video showed the existing filter, which was full of pet hair and clearly needed to be replaced. I don't know if this is an idea that came up during COVID or if they just realized how useful it would be for owners who had left the car and gone on to work, but I thought that was a really handy idea. (I also think I need to brush my dog more often, but that's another story.)

Made an appointment for a repair, I was told it would take about four hours. Although they have a shuttle running often I decided to relax and wait for the repair to finish. The service department were very understanding and got me in within a few days. Adam is amazing and took the time to show me the difference between 17 inch tires and 19 inch high performance tires. NEVER USE COLONIAL HONDA! Use Portland Street. We have had the absolute worst experience with this dealership. We were promised in writing, Tire and Rim protection than as we were signing the papers, they told us they couldn’t fit it into our financing... even though they promised it. Even worse, we bought the car in Feb 2019 and were told that we could keep the Winter Tires off of our old car. They were going to take them off for us and give them to us. It is now almost June 2019 and we still haven’t received our tires. I contacted the sales person several times and they said they were working on it... so after no progress I emailed the General Manager of the dealership. He apoligized and said he would work on it for us. It was been another two weeks and we still don’t have our tires. They obviously lost or sold our tires, which is no problem... just admit it and give us a new set of tires! Worst service EVER.

I’ve had a good experience with the sales side of Colonial Honda but unfortunately I can’t say the same for the service side. Every time I go in for a simple oil change appointment I always leave wishing I took my car somewhere else. Only thing that keeps me coming back is the price of the synthetic oil change. Today marks 2 months my 2019 Honda Civic has been at this Honda. With little to no information on what they did to my car and why it is still not fixed. Would give 0 stars if I could. I took my car in for a recall on my fuel pump, they replaced it and it broke down two days later. It has been there broken without a solution ever since. They obviously did something wrong and will not admit fault. You also have to call and leave 6 voicemails before you get a response.

The most impersonal customer service I ever got in my life! All service advisors are flat-faced. Even the shuttle driver does not smile. The lady who despatched the shuttle appeared annoyed when I phoned her back because the shuttle had not reached at promised time. Service advisors have close to zero technical knowledge about cars. If you ask them any question, they just bluff and sound as if they are scolding at you (I relate with many others on this forum). My advisor sounded as if he was shouting when telling me to switch all-season tires with winter tires. "You put on snow tires or put your car in lock and key for winter." He and his colleague then laughed. When I said my tires are only as old as the car (less than 18 months), I got the generic (and easy) answer: "your driving habits." Honda should accept the fact that it is no longer selling the top cars in market. So, if it wants to remain competitive, it is about time it tells its dealers to begin treating customers with respect. But tell you what: They did a post-service online survey and I wrote exactly the same comments as I have here. I was expecting someone will pay attention and will call. But no one did. That says something, does it not?

It is without hesitation that I recommend Colonial Honda because they are genuinely interested in making customers happy. Buying a car is generally a very stressful and tumultuous experience (at least for me) and I could not have asked for anything more from Colonial Honda. Bunch of crooks working in the service department of Colonial Honda. Told me I needed ~$2,200 worth of service on my Civic. He was knowledgeable about the different cars, he was patient and understanding in dealing with my numerous questions, and was never aggressive in trying to sell me the car. On the day I picked up the car, he spent a lot of time reviewing features of the car with me to make sure I was good to go before leaving. He made himself available for further questions if necessary and called a few days later to see how things were with the car. This place is a rip-off. They will charge you 2x market price for parts you don't need. I was charged over $1000 for a replacement part recommended to me after 2 hours of diagnosis. This did nothing to fix the problem in my dash and Honda didn't really care. They asked me to drop another $1000 for a different part. Go to CIVIC PRIDE in Bedford. They knew the problem in 10 minutes and installed a new part for under $400! Please save your time and money

Well I guess you have to give a star, so I'll give one for sales, they are great for sales when wanting money on a purchase, anything after that, forget it. Bought a paint protection package,, still waiting for a year for the manager to get back to us (crickets), Terrible! Bring the car in again, Radar or camera problem giving lights on the dash with braking and cruise controls, was there for 9 hrs and all of a sudden the scanner doesn't work, but can have a brand new one right away. The worst thing is being lied to by service that they tried to call but my phone was busy ALL day. even if I was on my phone (which I wasn't) I have call waiting and would have gotten the call. I'll find somewhere else to bring business. Again if I could give Zero stars I would.

The only reason we ended up getting our vehicle here was because they gave us a better offer than what Portland Honda had to offer, and even then when it came time to sign the documents the offer was no longer on the table. The salesperson made a substantially worse offer, and when we said that we wanted what was originally agreed upon during the last visit, he went to "speak to the manager" for quite some time. When he returned., he had a slightly better offer than the original presentation but that was far short again of what we had sat down to sign for. Once my fiancée and I literally stood up to leave in disgust the salesperson was able to run to the back office and get the original terms back, but not without making us feel as if he was doing us some huge favor and that we were unreasonably asking for the moon and the stars (again, this is something HE had offered US during the previous visit). Since our lease in December we have been bombarded with e-mails, phone calls and letters trying to solicit additional business...however when I actually contacted them for information on the tire warrantee I was stuck on hold for about 15 minutes, spelling my name forwards and backwards and repeating my name and address over and over because I "wasn't in their system". Today was the final straw for the solicitation that pushed me to write this review when I received a phone call inviting me to a "special event" this month. There would be "appraisers on hand to let me know what my current vehicle is worth, there would be deals on the newest vehicles, promotions on trade-ins and a chance to see what Honda now has to offer"....none of which I said was that appealing since I am leasing a 2015, which would be the "latest" and I can't see trading that in. When I pointed that out she says "Oh I'm sorry I saw here that you have a 2008, our mistake". I could go on but I'm sure most of you stopped reading long ago. I just needed to vent since this place continues to make me feel like the least appreciated client.

Despite the quality of the vehicles, the salesman tried to rip off my daughter during an evening deal. She repeatedly said she wanted rims and winter tires with the deal, and he kept leaving to see his boss. Finally, he came back and said "okay, you got the tires." She checked the sheet of costs, though, and he had written it up to cost her $400. It was dishonest. I despise Hyundai for their dishonest maintenance (they charge thousands over time for warranty checks that I caught them not checking), this Honda salesman was no better. Shame on him.

No evidence of any alignment problems and filters were changed at another Honda dealer 10000 km ago. Tired of the upsells and poor leadership examples

Just completed the purchase of a pre-owned vehicle from Colonial Honda today, and having purchased many cars over the years this was one of the best buying experiences to date. Matt Dickie, the Sales Representative and Ryan Rogers, the Pre-owned Manager were excellent to deal with. The sales process was professional and without pressure. We negotiated a deal that worked for both parties, which is a win-win outcome. Keith Barker, the Business Manager was also great (sorry about the cold fries). Recommend highly that if you are in the market for a Honda or a pre-owned car go see Matt & Ryan and the Team @ Colonial Honda.

Terrible dealership, avoid at all costs. Your appointment is worthless and is treated as an all day affair. Don’t expect a call to keep you in the loop either. You will need to call and ask if your car is ready. They will tell you that the service rep is busy and they will call you back. Just waited 8 hours to have winter tyres changed over (they were on winter rims too) . Ignorant, arrogant and you just get a feeling they’re all having a good old laugh messing you about. My experience with them Is so bad that unless Honda Canada gave me a free car in 2 years I will be long gone from the Honda ‘family’ and won’t even consider them again . Cars are fine, everything else is garbage

ZERO star. Extremely NEGATIVE experience. I would give five starts for the WORST customer service skills ever!!! Very unfriendly, non-professional, rude customer representative who got ZERO basic communication skills and just trying to inferiorate other competitors on NO basis. We were literally told to “have a good day” or in other words, “LEAVE we don’t need your business”. Will never ever consider or recommend them or Honda. No wonder that their average is less than four starts. My friend and myself felt offended by this experience.

At first my experience wasn’t the best due to some confusion on my warranty, however Carly did a great job and worked everything out for me. Only down side I will say was the wait time. In for a key fob and appointment was at 10am and wasn’t out until 1pm. Would highly suggest you mention that to customers when they book their apts that they will have a long wait period. Thanks!

We visited Colonial Honda to look at a vehicle. The dealership is clean and spacious and employees are generally friendly. Our salesperson was Bruce. I bought a car from Bruce 4 years ago and had a very pleasant experience. Again this time Bruce was a pleasure to deal with. Bruce like to sell car (just look at all his awards when you visit). He will work very hard to sell you a car. Much better experience than the one we had the day before at the other Honda dealership in town. You’re looking for a Honda, go see Bruce. Alysha was also great to deal with in the finance department.
