Great place, so helpful with an urgent car problem this morning. I brought my squealing car to them and they assessed the problem quickly, fixed it efficiently and told me what needed doing in the future with a printout of those costs. My repair was completed within an hour and cost less than I anticipated. So grateful!

Brought my 1977 Chrysler Newport there they fixed everything that needed fixing right away but called me and confirmed with me first put it in the top quality Parts unless I ask for cheaper ones and the stuff they couldn't do they pointed me as someone who did amazing work for really cheap I've been to a few mechanics in this by far is now my favorite also brought my Honda Accord in for a wheel alignments in new bearings and the price was pretty fair

Came in for replace tires on rims for the winters. We spoke to the lady on the phone was quoted $128 with tax in. We know it was this amount because we wrote it down and brought the exact amount of cash. I waited 2 and a half hours. I have gotten tires changed for many years and usually takes an hour not even and this is the first time I waited this long. The owner assured me it'd be out an 1 1/2 to 2 hours max of my scheduled appointment and ended up still being later resulting to me missing work. After all that, they tried to charge us $166.10 which is a 38 dollar difference. The lady gave attitude back and seemed to be confused saying its only a 16 dollar difference. They tried to charge us for 4.2 hours of labor when it only took them half an hour, as I saw the car sitting in the parking lot for an hour and a half until they brought it into the shop. They ended up agreeing to the amount we were told on the phone but unfortunately we will not be coming back mostly due to the cost change they tried doing. I understand situations arise and things get delayed, but I don't think it was right to try and charge more than what we were told. Especially when its just a tire change and no other issues happened.

A friend referred me to this place. The people who work there are awesome!! I only had winter wheels switched over so can't really comment on any of the other work they do there. They were able to squeeze me in super quick and last minute which was really awesome. The only negative thing I would have to say about them, is that I could have brought my car to Canadian Tire and had it done cheaper. The only problem with Canadian Tire is that they were fully booked for the next few weeks. You win some you lose some I guess. I would prefer to support local businesses, so I'm not super upset, but for those watching their pennies just be mindful of other alternatives out there. Even though their pricing seemed a little off, I would still recommend this place, they honestly helped me out so much!

I took the leap to come to The Auto Shop, and I have not being disappointed at all over the past year of services! Dave is an excellent owner! Very professional and pleasant to speak with. If anything requires additional work they will phone and let you know. The best part! nothing is forced on you to do something! Extremely open with the types of parts and the costs that it will occur. From your normal general maintenance to diagnostics they are very helpful and knowledgeable! I was looking for a new mechanic and found The Auto Shop on Google Maps. It was in my area and the reviews were really good. I spoke to Dave on the phone and told him what was wrong with my Van and how I had been neglecting work lately (you know how it is). He told me to bring it in and he would look it over. That same day he called to give me a break-down of the required work and the reasons for my Van needing that work. I ended up doing 90% of what was suggested and picked it up the next day. Talk about service! With a busy work schedule I was thrilled to get the Van back so fast and to have it running so much better. I will definitely be going back for future repairs. Thank you Dave and thanks to all the mechanics in the shop for such a great job. Cheers!

I was stuck in Canada with a broken axle, and he made sure I was completely taken care of, and found the best best and cheapest solution to my problem. His first priority was to get me back up and running, and quickly! I can't thank him enough. :) 100% genuine and honest.

Brought it in with no appointment but Dave still managed to squeeze me in and do a diagnostic. Was really impressed with the service and brought my car back the next week for a tire swap. Would like to give a shout out and I highly recommend The Auto Shop on Speedvale Ave West. I had a power steering line pop off and they took my car in and fixed and not only that didn't charge me and alerted me to something under the hood that needs some attention. This was just mere hour before closing up for Christmas. Dave and the guys in the shop are awesome and once again came thru for me and I highly recommend them.

Myself and my father have been taking our everyday use cars as well as our classic British Panther Kallista to Dave for at least 15 years (when Dave was on the other side of town). I know how difficult it can be to find an honest and trustworthy mechanic, having moved in recent years to a different region - but we still go to Dave when we are in town, have questions, or as is the present case, are buying a used vehicle (for inspection). For those in search of a mechanic, I encourage you to give The Auto Shop a call and ask for Dave. Albeit, he is usually already the fellow that picks up the phone. Dave has never let us down. He is personable and makes us very comfortable. Dave's work has always been top notch. He take the time to answer questions, explain issues, and furthermore find solutions where there seemed to be none (as has been the case with the Kallista as it is the only one in Canada that we are aware of). I wish there were more places like this around. I give Dave and the Auto Shop my highest recommendation - Well deserved!

The gentlemen at this facility are top notch! I went into the business for a second opinion regarding a emergency brake dash light that had previously been diagnosed the week before as a wiring issue at another location. I am glad I trusted my gut and went to them because within a few hours I was not only told the problem had been misdiagnosed by the previous shop but that it was a significant safety issue which shouldn't have been missed. They not only repaired the issue but looked over the vehicle and gave me a list of things that I would need to be aware of (something the other shop had not done, even tho I had asked, they said everything was fine) for future repairs. I am so please I went to The Auto Shop! I cant believe I missed this Gem of a mechanic! I will never go any where else!

I was in a very bad spot and the back lights needed to be changed. I had the bulb but I was willing to pay for the labour. Dave was so understanding and amazing at it that he had me out within 10 minutes with my brake light fixed! He didn't even charge me. Super passionate about his work and he really meets the people, unlike Canadian Tire or something whose there just to build their invoices

What a great find! We were here from BC visiting my son and realized we were long overdue for an oil change. I read the reviews, called around, and Dave was great from the moment he answered the phone. They did what we asked, and nothing else. They didn't try to up-sell anything.
