Royal City Fine Cars sold me a used vehicle with in my budget. I was not financing and affordability was key. What closed the deal for me was the peace of mind I got when I agrreed to purchase. The dealership is very transparent, together we looked over carfax, new repairs and warranty after I drive SUV off the lot. Totally worth browsing their website inventory. They sell more than Ferrari, Porsche & other high end vechicles. Something for everybody even those on a budget????

Contacted RCFC to discuss trading my 2014 Harley Davidson Street Glide Special in towards a purchase for their Nissan 370Z convertible. As I was going to ride the bike there and hopefully do a deal to drive the 370Z home I was looking forward to hearing back from them. Not a peep from them, not even a thanks but no thanks. BEWARE - AFTERMARKET LOTS THAT SAFETY THEIR OWN VEHICLES Bought a car from Royal City Fine Cars in May of 2021. My car had been written off a week before after someone backed into me so I was a bit rushed to buy. Hadn't bought from an aftermarket (used) car lot since I was a kid. Some bad experiences made me wary but Royal City is or appears to be a high end lot. They had a car very similar to the one I had just lost to write off. All seemed pretty legit so I bought from them. Royal City gives a basic 3 month warranty. Not long after I had the car I noticed one of my key fobs wasn't working well. Contacted Oliver who I had dealt with. He first resisted. Said it was fine but it had never worked right. Fobs aren't cheap and after their tech agreed it was faulty they paid half of the $400 to cover it. I wasn't too pleased about that cost but am a good sport and when asked by Oliver I wrote a 5 star Google review about my experience. Unfortunately I now have a new experience with Royal City Fine Cars that will cancel my great review with exclamation points!!!! I'm not a commuter, live 2 kilometers from work and haven't driven much anyways because of Covid. The car I purchased, 2015 Acura TLX had low kms, 81142. This of course attracted me. Car was sharp and appeared to be well looked after. Six months after owning the car it was 86770kms. I've only put on approx 5500kms. All fair weather driving. I had noticed the last couple months that the brakes seemed a little off. Again, not doing much driving and assumed it might be pads or something minor so decided to wait until I put my winter tires to have that looked at. Pretty surprised when I took the car to Waterloo Honda where I've gone for years to have them tell me the front and back pads needed to be replaced and the rotors were heavily grooved, rusty and corroded, too far gone to even be machined and also needed to be replaced. Pretty obvious to Honda tech that the shape of brakes, age of the car and mileage, pads were original to the car. Also no chance with the light mileage I put on the car that I did that much wear and tear! Front rotors and pads: $582.69, Rear rotors and pads $651.04, before taxes. I contacted Oliver with this information. Pics and receipt included. I found it hard to believe the car passed the brakes section of a Standards Safety Certificate? Royal City has their own service team and does their own safeties? Safety signed by Hugh Hill who according to the Royal City Fine Cars website is their service manager. This was Oliver's reaction when I contacted him: Hi Dan thanks for bringing this to my attention, I am very sorry you had to experience this. I am not sure how this could have happened as when I pulled the file this morning from our first inspection when we received the vehicle, our shop had recorded the brake pad life as 6mm all the way around for both front and back brakes, which shows a fair amount of life left considering 1.6mm is needed to pass safety in Ontario. Once again I am very sorry this happened to you. You're a great guy and I can understand your frustration; thank you for letting me know. However at the end of the day, I do have trust in our mechanics workmanship. After receiving that reply I contacted my Honda service people again. Even if pads were 6mm as Oliver claimed they would wear out quickly being on rotors that were well beyond their lifespan! You would not see a Honda, Acura or any decent dealership overlooking such a huge thing when performing a safety on a vehicle they are selling or not making things right if somehow it was missed and then brought to their attention afterwards? As I said, the first time I have dealt with an aftermarket lot in many years and will be the last. Reply from Honda: Hi Dan This is right out of the safety book if it helps Disc brake system components reject if the contact pattern of the pad on the solid rotor material is less than 75%.The pad condition is rejected if it is abnormally worn. Very happy with our 2009 fully loaded Buick Enclave. Kids love the DVD player they got working for us. Be aware the warranty they offer does have a $1000 limit with a $100 deductible. We haven't needed it.

There isn't a minus star or zero so I had to pick one star. This place isn't just bad they are scam artist crooks. Tricked my female friend into giving them her car and ripped her off for the used car. Totally took advantage of her, as she was desperate for a vehicle for work. Trash humans own this place. Deal with them at your own risk.

I bought an Infiniti G37x from Royal City in the summer of 2017. The sales experience was fine, but what made this a 5 star experience was the reaction of the dealer when my car had problems. They took it in each time until the root of the problem was addressed (even after warranty period though for the same issue). They provided a loaner each time they worked on my car. At the end of it all I think the service team and the owner went above what I would have expected to make things right and make sure i was satisfied. Buying a used car can go sideways no matter what dealership you go to, but next time I'm in the market for a car Royal City will be where I go since I will have the peace of mind knowing I'll be well looked after.

I went to look at a truck there this summer. Sam was the only person there. He allowed me to take the truck for only 10 minutes to test drive, which doesn’t even give the truck time to show any issues it had. Anyway, the truck had an issue with the radio switching stations on its own, plus, there were a lot of missing plastic pieces on the interior. When we got back to the dealer I decided to talk some numbers. Sam had, at first, no idea of the history of the truck. He needed to know the value of my truck, so he looked at it outside, then ended up calling another dealership to get the value over the phone. I got offered about $9,000 under the actual value of my truck. When I told him I needed way more for it, he told me that he couldn’t do anything more cause they’re such a small dealer. And at the time I was sitting with both a Ferrari and a Lamborghini behind me in the show room. I explained that my 2017 gmc would be the only model like that on the lot, so it wouldn’t be hard to sell. He told me he couldn’t do anything, probably because he’s only my age so 21. He said the would talk to the owner on the Monday to see if anything could be changed price wise. Never heard back from either Sam or the owner. And since I’m not worth a 5 or 10 minutes call to at least explain why they can’t change the price, I will never step foot on that lot again.

We bought a SUV from this dealership and had nothing but issues with it. From transmission issues that cost over 3000 to fix to broken sensors to ball joints to the air conditioner compressor.We spent a lot of the warranty time driving it back to them with the next issue. But the icing on the cake for this company was when we had had the car for 3 weeks and the ownership I had promised was in the mail never showed. When I went to service Ontario to acquire one myself the car was not even registered in my name. It had our plates on it. But the car itself was still registered to royal city.. I called the shop to ask what was going on and the worst person to work in customer service Dimitri told me So What? If you got a fine we pay it. I was in complete disbelief he had forgotten to register the car to me for almost 3 weeks. I was driving in that car with my family for 3 weeks with plates that didn't match the car. He was unapologetic and rude to say the least. I would never buy a car from this dealer ever again and would steer others away as well.

Bought an Audi at this location. On the way home from picking it up, the low oil level light came on. Just so happens the car had a extreme oil burn issue. They would not give me a refund, constantly gave me the run around and never did take responsibility. Wasted my time and my money. Engine ended up getting a rebuild for 10k. Dirty business. Stay away.

Absolutely will never be back. I was a first time buyer and they completely screwed me. I got my 07 dodge nitro from there. I had a seal break and I brought it in and another sales person said to me. Oh you should really have it oil sprayed. It’s going to rust out soon. NOT EVEN A MONTH AFTER I GOT IT. now, a year and a half later I’ve put almost 3 grand into fixing this just to find out that I may need to spend another 3 to fix it again. STAY AWAY FROM DEALER. I’ve tried getting ahold of people there and no one answers. Better if getting a car from the scrap yard

If I could give zero stars I would. Bought my SUV Aug 25, 2017. First day off the lot not even in my possession an hour and I had to return it for a hole in the outside wall drivers side wheel and a proper seal for the gas tank. One week later, ALTINATOR. One week after the Altinator, the TRANSFER CASE. One week after the transfer case, wires in my SHIFTER were loose. One week after that my engine light came on, it was deemed ok to continue driving until my appointment...twice my SUV lost complete power while in the center Lane of the 401. When I phoned in a panic and said "this much wrong with the vehicle in under 2 months is not fu@#ing right!" Sharma responded with "what did you fu@#ing expect, you bought a used vehicle." Turned out it was a CRACKED HOSE and a PIPE for the TURBO. I have since filed a complaint with the BBB. This dealership responded with a big LOL (how professional). Lied and said they keep fixing even though my warranty is up...90days from Aug 25, 2017 is Nov 23, 2017. Even basic math skills are lacking. Complete disregard for the customer. Today is Nov 10, 2017. I still have 13 days remaining on my 90 day warranty. My SUV is in a shop for BREAKS! Also, the TURBO, the pipe that was installed is now loose (it's been one week since Royal City returned my "fixed" SUV). I have not even owned the vehicle for 90 days; out of that 90 days, it's been in Royal City's possession for just over 4 weeks. Granted I have not had to pay for the issues which is over $1,400 and yes I received a vehicle in return while my vehicle was being "fixed." Regardless, I have not even had the car at that point for 2 months and all this work, stress, and time. I suggest another dealership. Your just $$$ to them, not a human. There's way more to this; saved texts, online encounters where I'm questioned as to why I would buy this vehicle (by the guy who sold it to me, Dmitri) ha! The same guy who calls potential customers online stupid. Some real lying winners at this dealership ???? UPDATE!!! After picking my car up from another dealership today after getting my breaks done, (who cleaned up Royal City's mess) the hissing noise turns out to be a broken air intake with missing and broken bolts. Looks to be upon installation of the turbo pipe, etc that this air intake was broke. They just left it! I now fear reprecussions for speaking out on the treatment and "professionalism" of this company that I now will NEVER return to finish out my warranty. Honestly, I'd rather deal with honest people and pay a decent company than have to worry about the next thing breaking from taking it to get "fixed." Clearly this company takes advantage of others.

Worst dealership in Guelph. These guys are complete scammers.. I went to royal city fine cars to purchase a vehicle. When I went in I told them what my situation was and we agreed on a price. I sold my old vehicle and came back 1 week later to purchase the new vehicle. When I came in, I noticed the vehicle was raised up $2000 more then what we agreeded too. I asked why, and he said that’s how business works, and that I can’t get the original deal. They left me without a car for a weeks, and wouldn’t budge on the price. I will never be going here again! ????

Bought my first truck from this lot and since then have had nothing but trouble. When I received the truck he told me the gear shift was a bit stiff due to it sitting on the lot for a while, then the drive shaft seized and had been for over a year along with something broken in the transmission hence the stiff gear shift. After having enough problems I brought it to a different lot to trade it in, told the dealer how much I fiananced it for only to hear that I was robbed. The truck is worth less than $4000 and rapidly decreasing and still have 5 years to pay it off at $10,000. I nor my family will never buy a vehicle from here again.
