I think I found a reliable and honest mechanic here in Guelph. Fair pricing. Get appointments early. Update : A tire centre in guelph overtorqued one of the wheel lugs during winter off the rim tire change and damaged the thread on the stud. I was driving with loose wheel nuts. It was an emergency for me to get it replaced as fast as I have to drive to Brantford twice a week for my new gig. Nicole and guys at the shop did everything to help me out very quick despite the store being busy and at a reasonable price. I 100% reccomend this shop.

I've been taking my cars to Michael's since I bought my first car when I was 16, almost 30 years ago... and my dad before me. Michael and his wife Dawn and their son Brandon are very knowledgable and always look out for the best deals on parts, tires etc. I've strayed to other mechanics over the years when not living in Guelph, but I am always left with a feeling of being ripped off because of my lack of knowledge and come away from those experiences feeling dirty. At Micheal's I know they've got my back.

I’ve gone through Michaels auto a handful of times with previous vehicles. He/they are genuine people who run you through all repairs & maintenance before beginning work. Their prices are great and they give honest advice on whether you should look for a new vehicle, go through your dealership, or have them fix it. They arent shady and they dont want you paying for anything that isnt specifically necessary. Although I moved cities, will definitely still go through them when possible.

I really appreciate the honesty and great service here. Especially if it's something that will be very expensive. They have always told me what needs to be fixed now and what can wait. As well as what I should expect to hear or feel while driving, when a particular part needs to be replaced. They answer all of my questions and help me feel reasured about my car's condition. I am pleased with the service and courtesy at Michaels Automotive. Everyone there has a great attitude and I feel comfortable asking any questions. Today I went in for an oil change. I was promptly informed that today’s service would be complimentary! (After 3 oil changes the 4th is free.) This came with a new oil filter and a 100-point inspection, as well as checking on the Makers website about any scheduled maintenance. I was out of there in about an hour. I couldn’t be happier. I would recommend them without hesitation.

They were very knowledgeble and cordial when I went there to quote something and they found another issue I had to agree with, but couldn't spot before. They took me under the car and showed it to me, all quickly done and well explained. The price was reasonable and the amount of hours was compatible. However, I decided not to do it because both services together were going to be slightly too expensive for an old car I was willing to switch, so it is time to say good bye and buy a new one. But I would definitely go back there and I definitely recommend those guys.
