Called GVW to have our 17 Golf R looked at before warranty expires later this month. There is a ticking noise when reversing and turning which we have had in the past which was handled by another VW. This one is closer to my work therefore more convenient for me. There was also some blue smoke coming from the exhaust on start up. So last week they took my car in on Monday. They picked it up from my work which was nice. Later in the day I was notified what they thought the issue was. Apparantly the vehicle needed an alignment after the strut mount was replaced but their machine was down. So my car sat there all day and as far as I know was barely worked on. They then brought my car half an hour later then what I requested. Nobody called me to say they are here to return my keys. They handed my keys to a coworker in a different department. I was not impressed. They took the car again last Thursday and replaced the strut mount but said the noise was still present. They couldn't replicate the blue smoke issue either. I had called the dealership a few times for updates but the service advisor was always busy and couldn't take my calls. Shinde was who I dealt with. He atleast texted me later in the day to give an update. The car still needed an alignment they had said which was not covered under warranty. I asked how much it would cost and it would be $400 + tax!!! Meanwhile a garage close to my home only would charge $179 + tax. Talk about milking people. I find it very odd that a job which requires an alignment immediately after that was not included in the warranty. They wanted to keep my car overnight for further testing into the next day but I said that was not an option as that was my only way home and he didn't even offer me a loaner?! Shinde asked if they could take my car Friday morning and I told them to hold off on doing anything else for now as I was frustrated with the way things were handled up until that point. It has now been a week and they have not reached back out to me to try and get me back in for service. Not showing any initiative on their part whatsoever. They are probably waiting until my warranty runs out so they can charge full pop.

I usually take my car to VW DonVally in Toronto however a trip to Guelph made me stop at VW Guelph for a tire check. Service was above my expectations and the helpful front desk staff were exceptional. You won’t regret your visit at VW Guelph. Big thank you to the entire service team for putting safety first and giving me a detail report of the issue with my tires.

As a Sales Advisor for Toyota, I can definitely say that Guelph Volkswagen met my expectations and beyond it as well. I drove all the way from East-End Scarborough, to Guelph VW to see the vehicle, then came back for delivery. Everything was done over the phone and through e-mail for a contact-less process due to Covid19 and for me living 1 1/2 hours away from Guelph. Ashley was kind enough to show me what are my options, with me being very picky with a lot of requests. Lawrence on the other hand was always available to contact and was ready to do whatever it takes to get my Pre-Owned 2018 Nissan 370Z NISMO. Not impressed at all im from a small town and trusted this dealership with my car not anymore no more test drives.

I went in to look at a 2018 golf r that they have in the showroom. Low kms and in really good shape. They have it listed for $49,000 which is more then a brand new one ($44,000) It's actually disgusting that due to demand a dealership would actually try to steal from consumers that they would want back to purchase a product.

Its a shock to me that there are so many good reviews.. but I guess that's how they treat you when you buy your vehicle from their dealership. On the other side if you don't buy your vehicle from this dealership and bring your Volkswagen to them for maintenance expect terrible service. I strongly advice to stay away from the service department here as they will nickle and dime you for service that will leave you unsatisfied. Gross to see dealerships charge premium price for inferior workmanship and customer service.

They make promises they cannot deliver on. They set in person appointment times that they fail to show up for, fail to respond when reaching out to the sales person you are dealing with, amongst other things. Overall a horrible experience!

I came to Guelph Volkswagen to get my 2019 Jetta repaired. It has peeling paint after only two years on the road. I brought the vehicle to the dealer and after a lengthy processing time (about one month) and two trips to the dealer they agreed to repair the paint defect. While they agreed to fix the manufacturer paint defect they are not able to provide a loaner vehicle. I need a way to commute to school and work as I'm sure most people do. A representative at the dealer told me they only provide loaner vehicles when a "vehicle is down" and that my vehicle being in the shop for days of repairs is not a "vehicle down" issue.

Excellent service! My EPC light had come on and then went off again but I decided it might be better to have the Service department take a look at it anyways. They did a full inspection and discovered that the battery was faulty and replaced it then and there. Overall the procedure went slightly over the first hour limit of the diagnostic. However, having quoted me at a single hour before the procedure began, I was only charged for one hour of diagnostic fees (as well as the battery price) because the employee wanted to honour his word. The whole experience was topped off with a complementary car wash, which was great!

This was my first experience with VW Guelph and it was great! They were able to get my car in for an appointment quickly and were very thorough. They took the time to explain the issue with me and give me a few repair options. After the repair they brought it on a 10km drive to ensure the problem was fixed which gave me ease of mind.The last garage I went to gave me a costly, temporary fix so I'm thankful VW Guelph was able to fully repair my car. I will definitely be coming back!

As a customer buying their first car, I was very disappointed in their customer service. After I put a deposit on a 2013 pre-owned car in February 2020, their customer service just went downhill because they were certain that I was going to buy it. It’s as if they’re serving in a fast food restaurant, “okay, next”. I had asked for a few SIMPLE things in which none were satisfied. I am here now 9 months after my purchase with none of the requests met. I drove up to Guelph (which is a 2 hour drive from where I live) a week after I made the payment in person and I was supposed to pick up the car, I got to the dealership and they said the car is not ready yet, in fact, they hadn’t even started working on it. It was in the same parking spot that they had left it in. Complete waste of my time, they didn’t even bother to call me to rearrange a different time to pick up my new car. I asked for the original mats that came with the car, which they “thought” they had. They gave me some old and cheap ones that literally had dead bugs on them. The car was not “professionally detailed” like they said they would, which they also charged me 500$ for as part of their fees. There were some other little things which seem insignificant but would have overall improved my satisfaction with their service. Very unprofessional and unorganized.

Waste of time and money. They ignored me when I described the symptoms and came back to me unable to diagnose a simple electrical problem in the fuel system. Had to have the car flat-bedded away after THEY admitted they "couldn't fix it" and they still charged me a diagnostic fee for plugging in an OBDII scanner and pulling some codes. No admission on their part that they shouldn't have taken the car to begin with. Fixed in the driveway for $150 with a Phillips screwdriver and a multi-meter and a little google-fu. Mechanics that don't listen are useless. Take your car elsewhere.

I have an extended warranty with VW because I purchased my Toyota car with A VW dealer and assured me it would cover it, long story short I token my car in because my passanger airbag light is always on, they did not want to check my car because it was not VW they sat on their bitts for 2 hrs to tell me the warranty does not cover (after coercing them to check the warranty) and for a diagnosis that they never gave me and charged me $130.00 for a "car wash", customer service was horrible and if I had to buy another car with anyone it sure will not be with VW ever again.

I had done a lease transfer at this place and it took over a month and a half of me paying for some random strangers vehicle because they managed to transfer the ownership to him but not the lease, so that kept coming out of my account. All of this by the way I paid just under $1200 to have done for me which was supposed to be easy. So 4 unnecessary payments later while not even owning the vehicle and having to pretty much do all the calling around myself they finally figured out how to do the transfer properly. I will be contacting OMVIC as the GM of the dealership very politely told me to F off in the emails when I asked for that 1200 to be refunded as the process was only stressful and not helpful whatsoever. If you need to do a lease transfer, go to any other VW dealership in the area, there is other better suited and better staffed locations. Do not bring your business here, they will only gouge your wallet.

And let's not forget about Ron this guy had no problem bringing the papers to me when I had no other way to show up overall great experience now just time to see how service department is when I'm due for my services. I took my Golf in response to a call back from VW regarding a possibly faulty gear shift covering. An appointment was arranged within a week of calling. The service man who spoke to me was polite and took the car in right away. Everything was looked after to my satisfaction including a complimentary car wash. This is the second time l've taken the car in for servicing, and l am very pleased with the quality of service received.

Absolute garbage in service. Never fixed brakes that continue to squeel yr after install. Go for a simple oil change and the tech doesn't put the engine coolant cap back on properly and so I drive home and find that the coolant has completely spilled out. Have been waiting for AC testing to be done since July. Absolutely horrible. Will never buy or deal with them ever again in any way.

Gabriel Massey was fantastic from start to finish. My son and I were out looking for a vehicle a week ago. We searched all along the car strip including Wilson's. We had horrible experiences with the other dealers. Sales people did not come out and ask if they could help us, we had two salespeople at the one dealership that were outside already and didn't even both to come over to speak to us. So we approached them and they basically said go on line not even oh which vehicle were you interested in. Another dealership we took a vehicle out for a test drive brought it back (it had 2 km to empty so we couldn't go very far) and told the salesperson there was a ticking noise. His response was oh it hasn't been looked at yet. Seriously!!!!! Your dealership was the last one before heading home very disappointed. We pulled in got out of the car and voila there was Gabriel who came out to see if he could help us. He was amazing!!! He knew that car inside and out. Was so professional from start to finish. We were so fortunate that day to come across him and now I have a beautiful vehicle. The feeling we got from the whole dealership actually was amazing. Other staff on the floor on the days we visited to test drive and complete the sale were very courteous. I just brought my 2018 GTI in for my first service since me owning it as it was preowned. I was so pleased with the service department and with me being new to VW Mark was able to answer all of my questions that I had. While I was waiting I chatted with Jack in sales and he had a lot of info for me as my sister is looking at possibly buying a Tiguan in the near future. We had gotten a flat tire very near the dealership and remembering that VW Guelph had stored my summer tires we went there directly. They were awesome- within 30 minutes they had changed all 4 tires from winter to summer and washed the car. They then took care of trying to fix the winter tire and when it couldn’t be fixed- they arranged a replacement under the warranty. VW Guelph service was great; in the time it to walk to Tim’s and back they had sorted the problem and we were on our way in a clean car. Thanks again for taking care of us so well during the pandemic.
