Got 3 recalled for my CHR, the worst one is projection under side mirrors both distorted after 1 and half years, brought it there but for many months of waiting still has no update when they gonna replace it. Hope your service for recalled defective parts treated the same as paid service. They keep saying part was ordered but not yet arrive.

What a positive experience during these challenging times! Scheduled an appointment for a test drive. We arrived early, and they were ready and waiting for us. Everything was clean and sanitized, staff wore masks appropriately and kept their distance. It wasn't crowded or overly busy. Definitely felt comfortable and safe. Patrick in pre-owned sales was a pleasure to work with and Chris in financing ran through things quickly and smoothly. A bit of an odd experience. Set up an appointment for my 16,000km "Service #2". be prepared to wait an hour before your vehicle goes in even if you have a scheduled appointment. They did however offer a shuttle. The adviser in the service bay was unsure of the work that was being done until I showed him my printed copy of what is included in "Service #2". Upon receipt, it was printed that the incorrect oil was installed. When I asked they related it to an issue with their computer system and ensured me that the correct oil was put in. I do believe them on this part. Overall, I did get the work I paid for [at a very reasonable price], it just seemed a bit disjointed. I'm neither satisfied nor dissatisfied with my experience at Guelph Toyota. I will likely return as it is conveniently close to my workplace.

From the minute I walked in everyone was concerned if we were taken care off or not ! I dealt with Lukas he was amazing absolutely thorough with his knowledge about the Highlander answered all our concerns definitely made me set my mind of car more after I spoke to him . My favorite Toyota dealership for service. Period. I have tried a bunch in the GTA and this one is the best. Service bays used to be open until MIDNIGHT! Who does that? Not sure they still do but loved the efforts to make time work for people. Here is a pet peev I have with ever other dealership and every other car repair place I have been to. My Camry has a cabin filter. Part of some service packages (that you pay for) is to do a multi point inspection and they check this cabin filter. If it needs to be changed they charge for the filter PLUS another $20 to put it in! Makes no sense. If I say no, they will put the dirty one back in as part of the service package so why not just charge me for the new filter and then put that one in instead of the dirty one. I have been to many dealerships that charge for this but NOT Guelph Toyota. They were the only ones who only charged me for the filter and it is things like that that won my business. Sadly I am too far to go regularly but I would highly recommend this service department. Oh, and the waiting room is nice with free beverages and sometimes snacks, while you wait. AAA+++

I was going to come to Guelph Toyota for my first car, but after hearing how poorly a friend was treated, I have thought better. I was present while he was on the phone, and though I heard him kindly and specifically ask to speak with a manager, several times, he was continually referred back to a sales representative. His issue was never resolved, and I would be terrified to ever buy a car from this dealer.

We are very pleased with our experience at Guelph Toyota! Our car broke down and we decided to get a lease. We worked with Lukas. The thing that stood out to me the most was the extent to which Lukas actually treated us like valued customers. We could tell that making a solid relationship was important to Lukas. He never pressured us into anything. He was patient and answered all of our questions and concerns. He took the time to explain everything, and he did so in a clear and concise way. He did not try to overly up-sell or over-sell. He did not bash the competition but rather spoke about why he honestly believes in the Toyota brand. Lukas also went the extra mile at every stage. Further, he made sure that we know he can be our point of contact in the future if we ever have any questions or concerns for our Toyota in the future. Shady bunch of characters. Typical car dealer shenanigans. Tried to double charge for repair. Insisting it was just a computer problem. (eventually was reduced after a lengthy conversation, never admitted to double charge) When looking at a vehicle(Tacoma) the only person available (dealership birthday decorating priorities) was someone who knew nothing about trucks. Tried ordering some parts, two weeks passed and no parts? Called dealer was told "not sure, will definitely call when they arrive!" Next day they called my buddy( his number was on file because he had picked up my truck from the first double bill fiasco, supposedly the number was deleted?!?!?) Parts are in... coincidence? Probably on a shelf in the back!? Typical of today's "customer service apathy " if it wasn't for the product I'm not sure how they would survive! Ps. Typical of the responses you get from these places. Make it seem like it's the customers issue!

Every issues I have brought up has been met with a "we couldn't replicate the problem, bring it back next time" response, while as I drive out of the parking lot the creaks and noises i raised keep me company on my drive home. By far the best experience I've ever had buying a new vehicle. Alex was an absolute pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend reaching out to him specifically if you are looking for help purchasing a new Toyota. He was incredibly patient with me and my little guy, he didn't rush me or skip over anything to get us out quickly. He showed a genuine interest in my son and took the time to connect with him. As a parent, bringing a toddler to a car dealership could be a traumatizing experience, not with Alex! I am incredibly impressed with his service and care. Be very CAREFUL when purchasing vehicle from this dealer, make sure you know the TOTAL pricing (+tax +delivery...) online first. Because they will try to SCAM you. I gave them my company discount it turned out to be about $800 off retail price. At first it looked like they subtracted that $800 off sticker price, but boy when I came home and compared it to online pricing retail price, they're almost exactly the same. Only $30 cheaper than online retail price. Where is the $800 discount? If I went ahead and purchase they will make an extra $800 by claiming it from Toyota. Very dishonest in my opinion.

I had an appointment with Guelph Toyota and I Went in a bit early to test drive and see the vehicle , the owner straight up denied and said we are too busy and no one help you and that I should wait for my appointed time .I was buying a 30 thousand dollar car and I can't even look at it ,all they had to do was give the key !I took my business to Cambridge Toyota , they took care of me ! NEVER buy from Guelph Toyota ! Crap service !!

Service staff is great, but the sales team is not. I was absolutely intent on getting a car equipped with blind spot monitoring. Unfortunately they did not have the car I wanted in Guelph for me to see, but the salesman assured me that the model I was getting had blind spot monitoring. The car is delivered, we sign the papers and take it home, lo and behold, there is no blind spot monitoring. I texted the salesperson inquiring about the issue and did not get a reply. We had to pay over $500 to get it added on. It was probably an honest mistake, but salespeople should know the facts better and if they don't then take the time to check.

I had an excellent experience with sales. Service, however, has been absolutely terrible on more than one occasion. I booked an appointment for an oil change - when I came in with my lease they tried to charge me for all kinds of extra service I didn’t book my appointment for. I was then told they “thought” I wanted service because I booked an appointment, and if I wanted an oil change it’s just on a walk-in basis. Well, this time when I needed an oil change I walk and and am told they’re booking 2 weeks ahead! The older gentleman who drives the shuttle shook his head at us without saying anything, and then he and the other man actually laughed at us! We drove from Elora, with our young baby, to get this done today without making an appointment because last time we were specifically told this was their policy. My family only drives Toyota and is very loyal to this company. To say I am extremely disappointed with our treatment today is a massive understatement. When this lease is up, I will be considering something different and will certainly not be taking my vehicle here for service any longer.

Had a very abrupt no, given to me. I was told an almost guaranteed after the fact that I would do a transfer of license, losing a thousand dollars due to schooling fees non transferrable from bc to Ontario, now having to wait to find out if I can continue my licensing. Completely appealed to my emotion, knew how much I love the truck, and turned around and said, "go transfer your license". For discretionary purposes, I will leave out my opinion, but the fact of the matter is, it was discrimination for a man with a bc license not to be able to apply for CREDIT, to purchase a vehicle. Which may or may not have had the impression that I was going to bait and switch, turns out the exact polar opposite. I had been baited, and switched on. Evan, their employee, fantastic to work with; managers? Not so much.. If I could do business with Evan, and solely Evan, I would. Thanks for the read, hope toyota figures out their way and realizes every application should be okay to follow through, until the point of denial.

Not happy with Guelph Toyota. I bought Venza few months ago, sales person was so so ,ok more or less. Fiance guy is the other story, i know they have to sell warranty but if you say once no thank you and then many more times no. Just stop and move on. I felt like leaving the office. Then he proceeded to say that electric components might break and its not made by toyota well im sure toyota knows what they are doing and putting in their vehicles. If that is the case il ljust buy used car and take my chances. I know im leasing but also im using the car. Then most of the time when i call for service, i have to leave voicemail and few times i dont get phone call back, if i do typical vacation or very busy. Everytime i go there lots of them are standing by their stations or walking around... I called them monday and now its been 3 days no call back yet. Also my bluetooth causes issues, and i tried 3 diffrent phones they are all having issues. And they said its fine on their end.. How is that fine? My memory seats not working how did it pass by PDI? I have bought many new cars, but Toyota i found the worst for pushing extended warranty.

I have been taking my vehicles to Guelph Toyota for several years (2 different vehicles). I find the experience in the service department to be inconsistent depending on which service person you deal with. I recall one experience where I decided to wait in the showroom with a few other customers and the service person came out to tell each of us that our cabin air filters were dirty and needed replacing. Four different people all in the same day.... coincidence? The funny part was that they bring out the dirty air filter to show you, but it looked to me like they showed us the same dirty air filter each time. Another time I had an argument with the service person because he said I need to put full synthetic motor oil in my car. This was not my first oil change with this vehicle and I know the type of motor oil that they normally put in. More importantly, I know the cost of the oil change so when he quoted me a price that was 2x as much, I questioned him. After a lot of back and forth, I popped the hood and showed him on the cap where it displays the type of oil I needed. He shut up after that. On a more positive note, I continue to bring my vehicle there because overall the service is good, and usually quick (if you show up at the right time of day). The sales people are friendly (big surprise) and there is free WiFi. The waiting area is clean and there are refreshments. Will I purchase another vehicle from Guelph Toyota? Good question. There are other manufacturers out there producing great vehicles. Its too bad Toyota doesn't offer more competitive financing rates as they are losing business to other brands who offer 0% for more than 36 months.

I would be very cautious of this dealership and what they tell you. The bolt broke on the hydraulic hatch lift of my 2013 RAV4 LTD this past weekend and when I took it in last night, they were quick to tell me that I had to buy the whole assembly at a cost of $1,340 plus installation, there were no individual parts available, so approx. $1800 bill to fix. Despite the fact I asked numerous times, I was brushed off by the parts person obviously him treating me as "a stupid girl". After going home and researching OEM parts this morning, it turns out this was totally wrong! The parts are individual and the particular ball joint costs under $25!! This is the second major failure here. Last year at 95,000 km, there was a considerable problem with acceleration. I took it in twice and called once about it. The service reception guy gave me a story that was ridiculously far fetched (like I needed a fuel additive) and at about 100,200 km, it gave out totally. Turns out there was a known problem and they didn't even bother to look it up. Now they were saying I was past warranty and they couldn't repair it - again, an item nearing $2000. Eventually, by contacting Toyota Canada, it was done under warranty as I had brought it in early on and they messed up. Bottom line - this dealership needs some serious changes to a) their knowledge base and b) how they deal with customers!!! I have owned Toyota vehicles for many, many years and if I buy another one, it would NEVER be from Guelph Toyota.

Worst Toyota experience ever. Took my truck in as it was under warranty for the switching valve. Then they told me it was no longer available under warranty. And I would have to pay a total of 2500 for there time and materials. I have spoken with head office and seems they are on my side for this awful experience. Not to forget the part wasn't even in stock when I had first brought it in to get fixed. What was there plan from the get go???? Good luck to anyone getting there vehicle fixed here.

Time for an updated review! This past 2019 I decided it was time for a big upgrade as I had been eyeing the 2019 Camry XSEs in the fairly uncommon (and SEXY) two-tone black and white for quite a bit of time. Without hesitation, I once again reached out to Guelph Toyota and my email was greeted by Patrick Matthews who was incredibly helpful from the start! This was actually my third vehicle purchase from Guelph Toyota after the my first vehicle (in the review below) was sadly totalled in an accident. My previous two experiences were wonderful, so of course I went straight back to Guelph Toyota for this upgrade! Pat was incredibly helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and answered all of my questions. I flip-flopped a bit between lease and finance options, and he was very patient with me and helped explain the nuance of leasing (as I had never leased before). I decided on the 2020 V6 Camry XSE and WOW. I am in love with this vehicle! Eric Hamelin in finance was also wonderful to work with - we had great chats while figuring out finance and warranty options that would be the best fit for me! Pat has remained in communication, answering any additional questions that I've had - this is next level customer service and I am truly grateful! This was 100% not the case at Guelph Toyota. Matt was our product advisor - he was very friendly, down to earth, knowledgeable, and approachable. Steve, the finance manager, was much the same, and went out of his way to explain various finance concepts to myself and my partner that didn't actually have anything to do with our purchase. We purchased a 2021 Toyota Corolla HYBRID this week and we're very happy and impressed with our salesman Evan Delorme. We were also very happy with the Finance Manager, Chris Bryans. Right from the start when we set an appointment online, Evan was polite and professional. Evan was on time for our meeting and had the vehicle cleaned/sanitized and ready for a test drive! He was also very personable and thorough when explaining the vehicle and the features. After our test drive, Evan was prepared with all the necessary paperwork for a purchase and he was able to get us a great deal on the vehicle. At first we decided to finance the vehicle and dealt with Chris, the finance manager whom we were very happy with as he was so thorough and understanding! He explained all the packages we could benefit from and was very honest and told us which packages would not be relevant for us vs those that would benefit. He were pleasantly surprised that he wasn't trying to sell us packages that were irrelevant for us. Eventually we decided to pay cash and the transaction went very smoothly! We were especially happy that we did not feel pressured to purchase a vehicle. We had been to a couple other dealerships more local to us but we're not impressed with the pressure from their salesman. Evan was a very calm and friendly salesman and we were treated more like friends than a customer which was so nice! When we went to pickup the car, Evan was fully prepared with the closing paperwork and thoroughly went through the details with us. He even went a step further and bookmarked important chapters in the car manual for us! We were very impressed. Overall, we were extremely impressed with the service from Evan and would highly recommend him as your car salesman. I was told that when I purchased a new vehicle I would receive 15000 Aeroplan points. It has been over a year now and I have not received them. Over the past year I have made multiple calls and have sent even more emails and I either do not got a response or was told that the situation was being handled, which it obviously has not. All they care about is getting your money and then watching you come back over the next 5 years for services. I bought a brand new 2019 Toyota Rav4 before a month from Guelph Toyota and ever since I bought the Car I was unable to set my Memory seat. I went to the service section and they took my vehicle to the shop and asked me to wait for almost 2 hours but they were not able to find the solution. Then the service person Mr. Dell returned me the keys, I saw a big round scrach on my keys and I talked with service Manager but they said I should deal with those scrach since it’s just a key which need not have to be taken seriously. Then they told me they sent a mail to the Toyota head office regarding the memory seat issue and will contact me in less than a week time when they receive reply on how to proceed with the Defect. I waited for 2 - 3 weeks and no response from their side. Then I walked in again asking why they didn’t contact me, they have no answer. I went to see the same service person who made scrach in my keys and he went inside and told me Manager is in a meeting and will contact me back within an hour but no response. I went back again at the evening and met Mr. Dell again, he seems to be so disappointed seeing me again and I asked to meet Mr. Peter (another service manager). He came and talked to me and gave me an appointment for testing my car in their shop regarding Manufacturing Defect. So depressing for me to be a Toyota Customer particularly at Guelph Toyota. Delayed sevice ,irresponsible and careless staffs. This is just a part of my worse experience even more happened. I remained patient all the time I visited them and feels myself to be a worthless person at their delership.

They don’t care about customers & their TIME. 3 Hours wait for shuttle ride in the morning yesterday.At the time of dropping car we ask about wait time they said 20 to 30 Minutes $ it took 3 Hours my Son missed his two hours on job . Around 2.30 PM they called us for to pick up car. We reached there & they ask us for payment I did payment of $1300 for my repairs . After having my payment they said my Car is not ready yet. Again I waist my time & energy to get rental car from them . The rental car brakes are not working properly. Horrible Experience.... Technically I waist my half of the day . I bought my first new Toyota, in 2010 in Guleph after experiencing terrible service, and poor attitudes from many other dealerships in cities across the GTA. Over the years I have tried calling other dealerships, including competitors and I never receive the honest friendly service I get at Guelph Toyota. 3 years ago, I purchased my second new Toyota in Guelph. Both vehicles are still serviced at this dealership. Drove to Guelph Toyota to purchase a new truck...also had a truck to trade.they took our licence and ownership .it took half hour to get keys to even try a new ride.Then they want to come for test drive with you. APPARENTLY AT 58 YOU STILL NEED TO BE WATCHED...we find this uncomfortable. How can we look over the truck ...we decided we did not like this policy so went to heffner and tried out rides...we purchased their....now the fun part ..Guelph Toyota kept our ownership....our address is on it...we needed that to purchase new truck...when we called and asked where it was the receptionist stated that wasn't their policy.she would speak to the sales and back to me within the hour...never heard back. We stood inline for hour and purchased a new one..4 days later it is in our mailbox.....no phone call to let us know ., no apology ,wow i curious what their policy is on keeping ownership cards which are not theirs.asked for our 32.00 dollars back for the new one we had to purchase.lol now they have to investigate first....because the sales manager stated he is not a bank...3 weeks they held this.......service ontario said never give out your ownership

Parents bought a "brand new" Toyota Sienna from Guelph Toyota a few years back. Great minivan but when delivered after waiting a few months, it had over 1000km on the odometer! I don't know if that would qualify as being brand new anymore? When asked about it, we were advised by Guelph Toyota that this was normal in buying a new vehicle as the engine is broken in before delivery. Of course, my parents believed them and did not make a big deal out of it. Other than that my parents say the service here was pretty good while the minivan lasted. Even though my parents still live in Guelph, they did not return to Guelph Toyota when they were recently in the market for a new Toyota for this reason.

Snow tires on rims took over 3.5 hours to swap out. I only got out in 3.5 hrs because I complained. I was told it would take 2 hours. Rep I dealt with was rude. I wasn't offered a shuttle. Don't book me in for 11 if you can't service my car until 1:30. I'm guessing 99% of your customers work full time so respect that. Also, a simple "sorry" goes a long way. Maybe tell the rep that?? If I had been told the proper time up front and had been treated well, I would not be complaining. Called service manager to discuss rather than leave a review but I did not receive a call back, so I'm leaving this review.

Please make sure to double check the start and finish date of the extended warranty you purchase. We paid for over 6 months worth of warranty for the time we did not even own the vehicle. The date on our lease agreement is April 21, 2009. Our so called application for extra care protection for new vehicles was signed and dated on April 21, 2009. The extra care protection was going to be for 60 months. The retail price of this extra warranty before taxes: 1099.00. The actual agreement for this extra care protection came to us later (probably in the mail). It states the agreement start date is 10/07/2008. Since when do people pay for extra warranty for the time they do not own the item? There was an argument, people from the dealership were quite arrogant about this. We feel there has been a dishonesty on Guelph Toyota's side, since no body told us the 60 months counts back to the date when the dealership took the Corolla into inventory (perhaps?). Anyway next time we will try to be more vigilant with reviewing our documents and maybe read reviews like this before walking into any dealership.

I think over all, this is a great dealership. My concern is that I have a battery that is most likely the culprit of no start situation, but it's only 2.5 years old and it has an 84 month prorated warranty. If my battery was 24 month or less, it's a free replacement, except that the dealer wants to do a diagnostic first and charge for that. I know Toyota doesn't make the battery, the manufacturer should cover the cost of the diagnostic if their battery failed prematurely. My 2 cents. Again... It's not the dealer, but Toyota Mfg service rule. No warranty claims in battery unless a diagnostic test is done and charged to customer. The charge would have been 173.00!-but knocked down to a reasonable 100$ for miscommunication on service record. I guess I'm glad nothing else found wrong with the 11 year old Highlander with almost 270K kms-what great vehicles! Maybe Pat will find me a newer Rav Hybrid, more loaded with less km, until I sell my 1961 Buick, I cant afford the upgrade yet!

I bought a new Tacoma last April from Guelph Toyota and did not enjoy the experience one bit. I felt a lot of pressure to sign a contract on the day that I went in just to talk to them. When I was still unsure if that was the right choice. The sales person gave me the impression that I wouldn't have to take the truck if I had a change of heart at some point. I was naive to believe him and should have got that in writing. I know that this is common in this industry but I would have expected better from such a highly rated dealership. I would hate to experience what a lower rated dealership would be like. I also found the salesperson to be hard to get a hold of when I had questions during the buying process. Maybe that was just one salesperson. However, I also found the management who I worked with equally unhelpful when I have had questions since my purchase. Though, when I bought my truck, I was told that I could call back anytime with any questions that I have. I even felt that they were judging some one of the questions I had, as if I was stupid to ask it. Even if it is a stupid question, what kind of service person is that? To give them some credit, I found the reception people and service department pleasant to deal with. But I will not recommend buying a vehicle from Guelph Toyota to anyone. Even though, I like my new truck, my experience with buying it leaves a sour taste in my mouth when I drive it.

Client for 2 years. Decided to stay at the dealership this time for the service and was told it would be done for 3pm. Once it 3 passed I just figured it was taking a bit longer but I would have thought they would have informed me since I was waiting there and had some family plans coming up. By 4pm I inquired how much longer, was informed 10mins and contacted my wife to let her know for our plans. By 5:18 I'm asking again and they finally finish. No one cared that I spent 5 hours at their dealership (2hours longer then originally promised). Knowing that a couple of staff not caring about clients shouldn't paint my full view of it, I figured I would just email the dealership saying how disappointed I was. I received an email from management stating they would like to speak with myself and asked when I would be free the following day. I confirmed anytime in the morning before noon. Didn't receive a call till the end of the following day. I get a voicemail from the dealership saying they have some questions. I returned the call shortly afterwards and it seems after they left the voicemail they left for the day and also had the following day off. I left a message and now several days later no one has called. So it's clear they just don't care. Given how much I pay for servicing I figure basic customer service should be included. This dealership does not respect their client's time and management wasting my time in the preceding day made it clear that it was just a joke for them. I've always taken all their recommendation and pay for full servicing and clearly they do not care about my business. Worst service and follow up I've ever seen from a dealership.

3 hour wait for an oil change, no respect at all for people's time. I am going to be late for work now, a shuttle ride is not an option. I really do have better things to do with my time. All this for a job I can do myself any time I want within minutes, yet no one can give me an answer on what I need to be able to do this myself and protect the warranty. I think they are trying to keep me here long enough that I will just give up and buy a new car or something. They do seem proud to sell BMW's and Subaru's though, they are big hits in the show room.

I've dealt with Guelph Toyota for years and the sales people are great but the service department is another story...clearly too busy to care about individual customers. I booked an appointment weeks ago for a recall notice on my car. I was specifically told at that time it shouldn't take too long and I could wait. I arrange my day accordingly. Turns out what I was told wasn't true. I take the car in at the time of the appointment and was told it will take 4-6 hours since they are so busy. I need the car again before then so I have to leave. No apology for them. Nothing but attitude. Time to find a new dealership. For regular servicing I'll stick with my local mechanic who genuinely cares about his customers!

I’ve been coming here for 30 years and was accustomed to excellent service. Not anymore. I have no complaints about the sales department but after getting g the car, it’s service I deal with. I just asked how much longer it would take for my winter tire change. I’ve been here two hours. The tires are on rims and stored here. I was told condescendingly that ‘everyone is getting their tires changed now.’ I pointed out I was here at 8 am and there was no one ahead if me. I got a very snippy response that there were plenty. This isn’t the first time I’ve had this treatment here. But it’s the last time.

All staff involved in the process (Tom, the sales person; Eric, the financial person; and Lukas, the product advisor who delivered the car to us) were efficient, reliable, personable and knowledgeable. We were treated with respect. Normally, I do not enjoy buying a car, but in this case the entire process was pleasant and seamless. My friend and I had the worst experience we have ever had. I was interested in a used vehicle they had on their lot. I set up a time with the manager and salesman to appraise my vehicle, he informed me it wouldn't be a problem. When I arrived they had no one there to appraise it properly. I had already had my vehicle appraised by 3 other dealers and Guelph Toyota called me 2 days later to offer me $4000 lower then any other dealer. When I asked if we could bump it up a bit the salesman informed me he did not want my vehicle on his lot and the price will stick. He was very rude no product knowledge on vehicle he was selling. He wasted my time and I will never return nor send anyone I know to this dealership. I rate them 0 stars until they can learn to treat their customers better.

We've purchased three vehicles from Pat Matthews at Guelph Toyota, one new and two used. Our most recent vehicle was purchased after our 2010 Corolla was written off following an unfortunate incident with a deer. We needed a car right away and Pat was able to find us a 2010 Corolla with far less mileage and almost all of the features our old Corolla had. We got a better car than what we had and it didn't cost anything out of our pocket as insurance covered the purchase. We bought the car over the holidays and Pat was in constant contact with us, pricing and making arrangements on his own time. Pat goes above and beyond and his customer service is second to none. I highly recommend Pat and Guelph Toyota. Their pricing is fair and the service is fantastic.

We purchased a 2019 RAV4 Hybrid in June and picked it up in October (delays were out of Guelph Toyota’s control). It was a bit of a rollercoaster journey, but, by the end, Lukas and Jon absolutely hit it out of the park. I have to say totally not impressed. I go in for an oil change and wait almost 2hrs. That's crazy! So much for an oil express oil change. A week later I go in to have all season tires put on my car and was told it be approximately 2 2 1/2hr. Thats along time to change 4 tires. I was given a shuttle ride home and at 7:50 the shuttle comes back to pick me up. I received no call during this time saying that my car was not done at the expected time but guess what? It still was not done when I arrived back. Its already after 8. When I go to pay my bill the young girl was so rude and you would have thought it was my fault that she couldn't go home as she stated very loudly and openly. My appointment was set for 4:30 it is now 8:30. Wrong $ amount rang in once again the sales person thought it was my problem. She was just rude beyond rude. This all happened between Nov 10th 2014 and Nov 20th 2014. Horrible, horrible service.

Extremely rude service person. I was very surprised with the long wait times for the shuttle home. I posted on Facebook initially that I was still waiting after 30 minutes but that everyone was polite, that was my only complaint initially. I never did get a ride home but suddenly my car was ready. The guy who handed over my keys was screaming at me about my Facebook review which at that point was only that I'm still waiting after 30 minutes. Of course I've since altered it to reflect the crazy abusive behavior. I would have been happy to just walk out of there, or I think a small apology about the wait time would have been a nice touch. The abusive service guy waited till he got me out of the customer waiting area before he started yelling. I've read a lot of bad reviews about the service at this location after my experience. And I'm suddenly wondering why a job that was estimated at 2 to 3 hours was suddenly done in 40 minutes.

Was sold a toyota corolla at a predatory interest rate. I was assured that in half a year or a year I could refinance the loan, and get the finance rate dropped down from the high mark. I called them now, 2 years later at the bank and the bank word for word said "We do not do that, and nobody is going to buy out your financing loan". The financing managers, or sales people at Guelph Toyota refuse to answer my emails, and my car also has a $1300 warranty on the cloth seats which I found on my bill of sale after asking for 0 extended warranties. Please stay away from Guelph Toyota. Predators.

I bought my first car in Guelph Toyota in mid Dec 2016, its a 2013 matrix sports version. Three months past, I am just so happy with it. Thank you Patrick in Toyota pre-owned section for making this suggestion. If anyone out there shopping for a second hand car, which I personally highly recommend it for new drivers with a G2 just to do some practice before invest in a better car (my case). Go talk to Patrick, he is super knowledgeable in cars and if you need a shuttle bus to go there (busing there is a pain, if you live in south end Guelph) talk to him about it. He did not even hesitate when I asked for a ride. Overall, great experience. Thanks to the whole Toyota team.

I bought a 2018 Rav 4 in March 2018. It was brought in fir it’s first yearly service. Oil change etc. Was told it would be about 2 hours. Had the shuttle drive me home. Appointment was at 3:15. Called at 615 and asked if the vehicle was done. On hold for 15 minutes (I timed it). She thanasked me for my phone number because she couldn’t find my work order. Was told it was ready. Shuttle was to be on its way. Received another call. Another 45 minutes before shuttle arrival. Totally disorganized. 4 hours for a simple service is not acceptable.

Very poor experience with this dealership. Inquired about a used vehicle and got a response after hours from Patrick (which was very nice) but then replied and heard nothing back. Followed up a day later and eventually got more info but after responding with a few questions I heard nothing back. Followed up 4 hours later and Patrick advised me the vehicle was sold to an appointment customer. I had inquired well ahead of the appointment customer and the dealer purposely held off on providing me info since it was easier to do a deal with the other customer. Was never informed that someone was coming in to see it and to secure it with a deposit etc. Very poor customer service and will never look to deal with this Toyota dealer again in future. Very sneaky and not transparent. Easy deal was a better deal l guess. Be aware of these tactics of you are considering dealing with them. Go to Toronto and buy from Brimell Toyota who will be fair, transparent and honest and provide you top notch customer service.

Avoid this dealership. I drove today to Guelph Toyota to grab some parts and hit huge pothole right in the middle of the their driveway. It was raining and I did not noticed it, but now I need new rim and tire balancing for my Corolla. I purchased this car from this dealership and this is another bad story. HOW dealership which sell about 150 cars a month could not afford to fix pot hole beside Guest parking. I can see only two reasons: either it is too expensive for them or they don't care about customers and their cars.

I would not recommend anyone go here. They promise all will be fixed and great until you sign the contract and then nothing but horrible service. Watch out for their bait and switch on warranties. They'll give you the pamphlets saying you are paying for a warranty that will get partially reimbursed if you don't use it, but change it on your contract to the Toyota program with no return. If you need to replace any major components on a vehicle within two years-you're better off keeping your money in your pocket and paying at the time- instead of paying interest on a loan when the money goes right into their pockets. Buyer beware.

Don't waste your time with Guelph Toyota in general, and with Rand Mammo in particular. Judging by her "performance", this dealership doesn't even deserve their current "barely clinging to 4.0" rating. I've initially made a test-drive appointment through toyota.ca, and almost immediately got a response from Rand. She said they've had a model I was interested in available for a test drive, and asked what time would work best for me. But this is where it all went downhill: First red flag: I had to follow up on my initial email, since Rand wasn't responding. Second red flag: Once she finally responded, she confirmed the date and time, but conveniently "forgot" to answer any of my questions about the price and wait-time for the vehicle I was interested in. Third red flag: The day of the appointment, I arrived on time and briefly saw Rand, but she quickly disappeared without even acknowledging my presence. Fourth red flag: half an hour later, she finally showed up, but didn't even bother to apologize for the delay. Fifth and final red flag: It turned out she didn't actually have the vehicle she said she had available for a test drive. After such a dismal first impression, I'm not sure if I want to buy anything from Toyota. And even if decide to buy a Toyota, I definitely won't be getting one from this dealership! P.S. It looks like the previous review was left by Rand, an employee of this dealership. I wonder how many other 5-star reviews were left by dealership employees and not actual customers.

Over a year ago I bought my 2015 Toyota Corolla - used. This is a late review because I just didn't have the time to write it. Buying from here was the worst and most disappointing experience. When my car was delivered I had a chip on my bumper and a crack on my front lower grille. I inspected the car before I took delivery and these items were no where to be found. Of course the sales person told me it was already there. Anyways the sales person knew I was from Toronto. I had already sold my other car and I had no choice but to take it. The sales person said they would try to make it better but they never followed up. How can I drive the car back and leave it in Guelph while I have a job and family in Toronto? Of course I'm partially to blame. Why buy a car out of town? Well I had my reasons but more importantly I thought I was dealing with hard working honest people. I do business in Guelph and thought I would give this dealership a try since they had the car I wanted. However I have to get the lower grille replaced and the rear bumper repainted. To add insult to injury the sales person told me the crack on the lower grille as done on purpose as part of an inspection. I verified this with Toyota and other Corollas from the same model year and this was an utter lie. the sales person did EVERYTHING to make me accept the car the way it is. The sales person did say they would help me with the bumper at the end - put his arm around my shoulder - but NEVER followed up. Never offered a rental. How am I supposed to come all the way from Toronto and leave my car with them for a week? Pathetic. Basically I feel so burned its not funny. This dealership really let me down. Do not ever deal with this used car dealership. They are the vintage rip off used car dealer who just wants to take your money. They are crooks. It seems not everyone has had a bad experience but I've learned my lesson and will never deal with this dealership again. This dealership truly burned me around 2000 dollars. Do you think they'll ever compensate me? nope. If you don't believe me send me a message. I can prove to you everything I've discussed. This dealership is truly a disgrace. And I know the dealership will say this is a fraudulent review. I know what I experienced. I have the sales receipt and pictures to prove it.

Last night I had the “check engine” sign come on my car and I panicked. I live in Toronto and was in Guelph for an event. I called Guelph Toyota and Jim took my phone call. He was so kind and told me to stop by. When I got there he remembered me right away and Craig said he would run a diagnostic on my car. I was so sad because I thought I’d miss the event but Jim drove me to my actual event! When the event was done I went back to Toyota and Craig was so kind to me. He said he had fixed the issue and it was the best customer service of life. I know nothing about cars and was in such a crazy state when I came to Toyota. Both Jim and Craig were so kind which allowed me to stop worrying so much. Thank you Craig and Jim for being such kind people! Rating is for service. Department tried to dodge work that was clearly covered under warranty, then when pressed decided to 'fix' instead of replace the faulty parts. Same experience with another Toyota vehicle, complained several times about suspension noise while under warranty. First service after warranty expires - oh look you need $1,500 worth of suspension work, sorry we didn't notice this earlier and sorry you have no warranty coverage anymore. Promised to follow up with Toyota based on documented complaints, no response. That was last year. So cannot recommend this dealership for integrity because of my experiences. Customers should also note that the service advisors are paid in part by commission, so it is their job to upsell you on work you don't need done and is not required by the manufacturer. **Response to Dealer - I did follow up with your service advisor twice and he was not able to help with getting a response from Toyota. With respect to your alternative maintenance schedule which you refer to below, is that something that is posted clearly for your customers to see? Upsell examples that I have unwittingly agreed to on past and current vehicles are fuel injector cleaning and brake system flushes which were not in the Toyota recommendations, and I did not report having any problems with my injectors or brakes. The vehicle is a red 2017 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro. Guessing it is the only Pro you were servicing as the mechanics were shouting "Pro!" to each other when they drove it into the repair area.

We are extremely disappointed and feel cheated by Guelph Toyota. We finalized a RAV4 2020 model and when the sales person explained us the terms of conditions of financing, we told him that we wanted a 84 months contract. The sales person asked if we would like to do the payment bi-weekly instead of monthly. We asked him if there is going to be a difference in bi-weekly vs monthly payment. He confirmed that there wouldn't be any change in the total amount to be paid except for the frequency of payment, he mentioned that it would be easier to pay bi weekly similar to our salary frequency. We believed it. On the day of delivery, they have invoiced the car for 91 months instead for 84 months using their tricked bi-weekly calculation. They retained the $500 that we paid for booking despite the fault being theirs and we did ask about this point during our initial discussion. It is not about losing $500 dollars or a customer but is more about losing trust. We felt really bad because this was our first car booking in Canada and such a bad experience sentimentally.

We have been driving a Toyota for over a decade and have had no such issues with their Aurora or Newmarket dealerships but the one at Guelph has given us very horrible service today. We came in around 2 PM today to get a paid maintenance inspection and was told that it would take around 2 hours to finish. After over 5 hours of very rude phone answering, they told us that they didn't have a driver to pick us up. Why would they not let us know that they didn't have a driver earlier? We could have gotten a friend to drive us to the dealership if they didn't keep saying they were still working on the car. Such horrible service!

I would like people to know what kind of service Toyota in Guelph is providing to their loyal customers. Yesterday I called and left a message. I did not receive a call back. Today I went to the dealership to get an oil change. I was there first thing and my experience was horrible. I showed up and they asked me what I was looking to do today. I said “ oil change” they asked me if I had an appointment. I said no because I have never made one due to their “ no appointments rule” they laughed and said it is tire season. I said ok then can I leave my car with you and get shuttled home. He said he wouldn’t give me a ride because it was just for an oil change. I said I would only need dropped off and I could find my way back on my own. He said where do you live. I said Elora ( 15 minute) drive. He said there is no way that was going to happen. I told him that it is faster to drive to my house as it would be to drive to the south end of Guelph. He laughed and kept mentioning that just for an oil change no. I said I am trying to get my car serviced at the dealership and this is the way you treat me. He explained to me again about tire season and that they are under renovations. I replied that it’s not the customers fault. How could I ever possibly go back here for anything. How could I ever tell friends and family to purchase a Toyota from this dealership. The funny part about this is that I work for Toyota in Cambridge. Very disappointed!! I had been having very happy time with Guelph Toyota since I moved to Guelph 13 years ago until last year I went to there to repair my car. And last Monday I visited it again. I fell the service in Guelph Toyota is getting worse and worse and I am so disappointed. They don't care customers that much like before. On the other hand, they care how to make more money now. It had been a while before last year I sent my car to repair-Toyota really makes good cars. I had one hub bearing was making noise. Toyota replaced it and charged me part, labor with diagnosis fee. Before that time I had never been charged diagnosis fee if I did repair there, so I asked why. They told me they changed policy three years ago( Before that, every time I sent car to there I was always told they wouldn't charge diagnosis fee if I repaired the car there). OK, I didn't know they changed the policy. So I checked my repair history, found the bad hub bearing was just changed by them about 50000km ago (at about ODO 276,000km). They told me the bearing failed so quick because I use a aftermarket front strut. But I replaced the strut at ODO190000km, if the strut is the problem, why the original bearing could still last another 86000km? After half hour argument, they took the diagnosis fee and 15min labor fee away. Last Sunday my car couldn't start on parking. I checked and guessed the starter is gone. So I got a tow truck to tow my car to Guelph Toyota from Port Perry. They charged me $120 for diagnosis (what an easy money, any experienced maintenance can troubleshoot out in 10min). Totally I paid $700 to replace the starter( I am sure I can do it by myself for $200 if I didn't need the car in rush). I went to the car and started up, the engine light and VSC light was on. I went back to see the service and was told I have to pay $90 to check why the engine lights are on. They sail maybe the tow truck did some thing wrong. I dropped the key then took shuttle home. On the way home I googled and found it could be an easy fix. So I went back Toyota to take my car away. They told me they already reset the engine lights. I drove my car away. Not too bad, they didn't ask me to pay anything. I am a Millwright and Electrician with almost 30 years experience. Now I am looking for a Toyota Camry as my family's spare car. Yes, I still trust Toyota's car. So if any one of my cars gets break down, I can repair by myself to save the expensive cost on Toyota dealer, especially the unreasonable diagnosis fee. I gave tow starts because I hope the Guelph Toyota which I am familiar will come back in the future!

I purchased a 2017 Toyota Tacoma Ltd. used from Guelph Toyota in August of this year. I had been looking for a used 2016 but was unable to find one that I felt comfortable in buying. I am from Toronto and had looked at all the dealerships here with no such luck. I called Guelph Toyota and spoke with TOM JOHNSON about this Tacoma that was for sale on their lot. Tom was very informative and answered all my questions about the truck. I went to road test the truck and Tom showed me all the bells and whistles on the truck. Not impressed. Had an appointment to switch out tires but when my husband arrived he was told they were behind schedule??? How does that happen when you have an appointment? After 2 1/2 hours we hadn’t heard anything so called for status. Apparently the car was ready but nobody bothered to call us. When I called I was told they don’t do appointments but rather “drop off” times. Sounds to me like this is just an excuse that allows them to schedule customers however they want. I will not take my car here again. I’ll find a mechanic that schedules and keeps appointments and cares about the customer.

The service department here is absolutely horrible. My husband and I cringe every single time we have to bring the car in for maintenance. Seems as though they’re always trying to suck money out of us. I’ve had corollas all my life and my mother has too. I’ve always kept up with the general maintenance and never had problems with them. So you can imagine why I don’t want to shuffle out a couple hundred dollars almost every other time for “dealer recommended” services that quite frankly it does not need. And every time I reject those services I’m treated worse. The car is 4 years old and my husband paid for an extended warranty on it. It’s making a small noise when I got over bumps so we asked for it to be looked at it. The guys straight up assumed it was something in the suspension and was very quick to tell us it wasn’t covered without even knowing what was wrong. Also told us he couldn’t even look at the car without charging us $120. You’re kidding right? I’ve NEVER in my life heard of a mechanic charging (especially not $120) just to tell you what’s wrong. We bought the car at the Orangeville dealership and they always treated us like Kings. Then we moved to Guelph and unfortunately this dealership treats us like just someone else to suck money out of. I’ll take my car to Andy’s Auto (who I used to take an older car of ours to before we got rid of it) who GENUINELY care about their customers and would never treat us like this.

If you are shopping for a car I suggest you read this review, ask around and look around before spending your dollars here. Toyota builds exceptional vehicles readily availble at several locations nearby, however the service depatment in this dealership falls far below the Toyota Standard. Poorly run and poorly kept. Earlier this week, due to meetings in the area, I booked a Wheel Alignment Inspection at 8:00 a.m., Friday (Today). I confirmed I wanted only a basic inspection as a precaution since installing new tires and wheels last weekend. When I pulled in early, at 7:50a.m., I asked to confirm the timing since I had a morning meeting to make after 9:30 and a conference call at noon.The service advisor was very indifferent and told me "all appointments" were "dropoffs" and it would be at least 1.5-2 hours from whenever the service staff arrived and got started. I had started my day at 5:00 am to be sure to be at the dealership early and was not pleased. I asked to speak to the service manager...but he was not due in until 9 and when I asked for the service manager's card, the service advisor said he had no idea where the cards were nor why appointments were handled this way frequently.The service manager's office desk was so scattered with paper the cards were nearly out of sight. I went to the parts counter and asked for the owner's name and card and to speak to him if he? was in. The parts person had no idea of the owner's name... (at which point I left,) nor did reception when I called back 10 minutes later to figure out what happened with my pre -booked appointment. ..It turns out my 8 a.m.appointment was written in for late morning...I left my name, confirmed my number and asked for a call back from the service manager. That was 12 plus hours ago... Clearly customer service is not a concern. I have call display on my cell phone. No Response...If a dealership doesn't respect your time, pick up the phone. Plenty of other Toyota dealers nearby will offer a higher level of service and professionalism and actually work to earn your business and deliver a new vehicle to your door for no extra charge. I have 2 Toyotas and 1 Lexus at present and have driven Toyota since 1977, currently driving Toyota/Lexus vehicles 8, 9 and10...but I won't be replacing any here... I find it strange that someone would rech out on line, but not attempt to reach me by phone when I left my number with several people a week ago...That said, the service manager called me this morning and has invited me back to help resolve my concerns. I will update thoroughly here once that meeting has taken place.

their service unprofessional, they change engine oil without checking the mileage of car and they charge me for checking, the oil still works for 4000 km. my advice to choose another branch or any garage better than wasting your money

We have had very bad experiences with Toyota product and services. We recently leased a 2019 CHR. From day one the radio did not work properly. To convince them this brand new car doesn't work properly we visit them 4-5 times. Finally when they agree to change the radio, there is no timeline for service! I never suggest them! Zero star.

What a great experience! Patrick Matthews was fantastic from beginning to end! After my last experience with my previous vehicle at another dealership I was hesitant to jump back in with a purchase. Patrick renewed my faith in the process. I felt no pressure or rush to purchase. Prices on certain basic services are reasonable. This seems to be a ploy to suck you in to the dealership so they can lie to you, up sell and generally act like sleazy con artists. Perfectly fit the stereotype which makes people wary of dealership service centres. They don't always honour warranty items despite telling you they will over the phone. Have also been told I must change brakes immediately when in fact there were many months oft break pads left. Have been told my air filter is old and needs changing despite my having changed it a week prior to coming in for service. Ask this said, they have a lovely service bay and present a clean and professional seeming environment. Simple shuttle service to and from your home if necessary.

I've had my 2017 Toyota Corolla for almost 3 years now. I drive a lot for work and was looking for something reliable, no complaints on the vehicle! Just had unfortunate luck over the weekend with a flat (punctured) tire. I always get my car serviced at Guelph Toyota and Don Lemieux has been my service point of contact. Don was understanding, compassionate and truly caring towards my recent bad luck. He carefully reviewed my options and supported what was best for me in the end. He made an unfortunate situation a little bit better, and I feel comfort knowing he makes decisions with my best interest at the forefront. I absolutely recommend Don as he's been a pleasure over the past few years, I would give more than 5 stars if I could!

Bought a 2016 Toyota RAV4 here in late September. Worked with Moe and Pat and had a straightforward and pleasant experience. No bs, no tricks, just a fair price for a quality vehicle. It’s an expensive market out there but I feel confident I got a good price for my vehicle. Also returned 1 month later due to a dead headlight and they replaced it at no cost. Would recommend, ask for Moe!

After contacting Guelph Toyota, they decided to look at the issues after replacing belts and other accessories with no charge. We hope that the car is fixed for now. Anyhow, we are satisfied with the service they offer.

He paid attention to the list of criteria I provided. He acknowledged that I had done my research and treated me with utmost sincerity. Toyota Guelph , one of the worst car dealer on this planet! - Never buy a vehicle from this dealer. When you decide not to buy from this dealer after a discussion they, including the manger there, will even speak coarse language . Secondly, when you own a car with issues for repair, they rape you and charge you unreasonable fees. What a lousy dealer!!! Shame on you!!!

We HATE car shopping. Everything about it is a terrible experience made worse by some pushy salesman constantly spewing some lie or twisting the truth. BUT, Matt was amazing!!! This is the only time I've been to a dealership and didn't want to kill someone. He was super helpful, and amazingly easy to work with. Knowledgeable and just a treat to talk with. Great job Matt!
