Don't Trust them they will rip you off. be aware don't sign anything before you understand every detail. so many hidden charges.Worst dealership ever dealt with. and believe me if you say I would go to the manager! he is worse, even if he knows you are right and your complaint is legit he will never admit and become very defensive. all what they care about is your money only.

This has to be the worst dealership for customer service. I was in Guelph for a couple of months and had an issue with my car running rough (miss firing). I brought my car into Guelph Kia since it was still under warranty. Took three visits before they could find the problem, they needed the engine light on to locate the issue even though the car has had issues of bad coils in the past. They said I needed a new coil and it would be covered under the warranty but said I needed to replace the spark plug at my own expense since it was installed wrong and cause the problem. I had the spark plugs replaced 6 months prior by another Kia dealership. They said the other dealership installed them wrong and installed two different types of plugs. I told Guelph Kia that I didn’t want to replace the spark plug even though it is only $10 then the service manager then came out and said if I didn’t replace the spark plug I can go find another dealership to replace the coil. That really left me with no choice but to replace the spark plug. After receiving the service, I asked for a receipt and the service tech said they don’t give receipts for warranty work. I said I also got a spark plug replaced and want a service record of that, they had to go ask how to print one up. I would rather drive back to Saskatchewan then to deal with this dealership again.

Used Car Slimey-ness. Put a deposit on a used vehicle. They sat on my deposit for 2 weeks, and when I called to check on the work they said would be done. They decided it was going to be too expensive for them to safety. So they were going to put the engine in a newer car, that would cost less to safety. They get one star for almost convincing me this decision was in my best interest.

I'm happy with the purchase of my Kia. Best price around, has been a great car for the last 2 years. But their service department is slow. Every time we go to get routine service done to the car, we are waiting 2 hours or more. We have appointments too so I don't know why they take so long. Are they short staffed? Over scheduling? After going there for routine maintenance several times and having it take so long, I'm going elsewhere for the service. Tire alignment should not take 2 hours, especially when the car isn't even that old.

I really got to know the vehicle in the first couple days of owning it, and in that time noticed some issues. They also have one of the best if not the best warranties for your new purchase. All staff members are very friendly and professional.What I really liked about this place is that they care to get you the best loan/finance options as possible. I also find the over all environment of the dealership to be warm and welcoming. Would deal with them again no questions asked. I would like to personally thank John French. He went above and beyond. Went in and dealt with Cliff. Had mentioned numerous times that I wanted to find out the price of a car after all taxes and fees and know how much it was going to be bi-weekly. I also wanted to test drive a car, and was given a different vehicle. I then saw the exact vehicle I wanted to test drive in the parking lot. I had to pay a $200 deposit, in cash in order to speak to someone about a vehicle and was told it was refundable if a sale didn't go through. I have heard nothing from them at all, and still need to collect $200.00 from them. On the phone today I mentioned this, and was told I had to wait until tomorrow because my $200.00 was in the safe with John, when I gave my money to Cliff. I am now being told I will get my money but they are un-sure when. Great. Would really love to be contacted about this and get my money sooner rather than later.

After I inquired about some of the good deals offered online, product advisor Chris Swiech replied immediately and was able to arrange to meet with me exactly when I needed, (even though I needed to subsequently reschedule due to my own obligations). He explained features I was unfamiliar with and provided me with all the info I needed to help choose between a couple of models that I was considering. It was great to have someone who was so helpful and yet did not pressure me at all. I was trading in a vehicle and it was also very refreshing to be offered an amount that I thought was more than fair up-front and which required no additional haggling on my part. The turn-around time for the vehicle was also faster than I expected. Everything came together to make it a great experience especially considering that I don’t typically like shopping for cars. I think it was worth the drive from Toronto.

I have mixed feelings about my experience buying a new car from this dealership. The actual sales experience went smoothly, and I have special respect for the way Moe Sasila handled the finance application and insurance arrangements. He really did make me feel as though things were taken care of, and was very professional and on the ball at every stage of the process. Everything went smoothly until I experienced a couple of issues with the car within the first week of purchasing it. I contacted the sales associate who sold me the car, as he had been my first point of contact at Kia, and hoped that he could help me resolve my concerns. This was a moment when he could have made a big difference and a positive impact by taking care of a small aesthetic issue, as well as referring me to the correct people to talk to for a mechanical concern. I did get a referral to the service coordinator, who was friendly and helpful. However, for the smaller issue, I wasn't given any concrete direction, and was instead told that the problem wasn't really their responsibility to solve, although if I wanted to solve it I would likely need to pay a fee for a replacement part. I did give the associate multiple chances to assist me or make an offer of goodwill on behalf of the dealership, but this didn't happen. Combined with the fact that I would need to bring my brand new car in for a service inspection under a week after I drove it off the lot, I felt deflated, when some attention to customer service would have left me feeling reassured, and confident that I was valued. My experience with the service department was quite good. The staff member who assisted me was very knowledgeable, and willing to take the time to give me details and answer my questions about the issue I was experiencing with my car. I wouldn't hesitate to return to this service department for future maintenance. The small negative experiences definitely had an impact on my overall impression of my time at Kia. The day I picked up my car, my sales associate had asked me to give him a five star Google review, but to me, a five star review is for businesses who go above and beyond. Five stars are for businesses who delight with their service. On balance, I would say my experience ended up as average. I wouldn't recommend or warn away from this dealership.

I don't know what's happened to this place. Since the pandemic, they seem to want to rip off customers on service. My last two visits resulted in items being tacked on without my signature or agreement and insistence of payment, I excess of $1000 for work that I did not ask for. They admit their error but still ask for payment I hate to say it after being with them for so many years, but they are behaving in an unscrupulous and fraudulent fashion. I would have rated this place 4 stars based on the buying experience. Nothing weird or out of the ordinary. However the pre-owned car I purchased has a sunroof which I opened when I drove off. To my astonishment it would not close at destination. I text the salesman about it. He replied hours later, saying he'd ask the dealership about it the next day and get back to me. He never got back to me. As annoying as it was that the sunroof ended up being left open overnight parked outside, as I had to be somewhere, I understood that these things can happen. I went to another Kia dealership and they said it would be a warranty fix. However the salesman never got back to me. This gave me the impression that once they sell the car, they no longer care. I might be wrong and everyone has an off day, however this was my experience.

This current car is my dream ride and after not being able to find the lower trim on the vehicle I wanted (sold out across Ontario) they were able to work with me on my budget to get the next level up. Staff are friendly, helpful, and there every step along the way. John French in financing is amazing and has gone above and beyond what I could expect. He made the process so easy streamlined. Just came in with some brake concerns and Scott from service was extremely helpful put my mind right at ease and told me I had nothing to worry about, he said they'll check everything next oil change to make sure but for now there's nothing to worry about. Sales experience was fine; I knew what I wanted and was going to pay. If you’re going to purchase, make sure you’ve shopped around and know what prices you can get. However the aftercare is incredibly disappointing. The service department, down to the manager, is a disgrace - to say the least. This is not a dealership that is capable of maintaining, let alone diagnosing their newer cars. Recommend taking your business elsewhere, and guaranteeing your car is taken care of properly.

Best Car dealership I've ever been too. The sales staff here is so chill and they really don't chase after you like other "typical" sales people. The Kia product speaks for itself. The best warranty period. And some of the cars are so ahead of the others in class like the Telluride and the Seltos it is very difficult to justify buying something else, but enough about the Kia vehicles and how good they are. Lets talk about the staff, our sales associate was Connor who was literally the coolest sales person ever, he was not pushy at all, gave us all the space we needed, didn't pressure us with sales calls after we left and didn't come with us on the test drive. If you are a Millennial like my wife and I, this guy is the closet thing to self checkout and he is not shy with coupon codes either folks he is perfect. What more could you ask for. But on the other side my mom (a retiree) also came to buy a car and he took so much time with her and made her feel very comfortable so that she could purchase her retirement vehicle he answered all her questions and made her sales experience a very pleasant one. Now onto the Finance guy John - Another example of a guy who gets it and isn't out to sell you things you don't need or add sneaky dealer fees and stuff like that. He will work with you to get you financed, he's fast with his emails so you are not on the phone, and when you are in there to sign the deal you are out in minutes. If you've ever bought a car you know what its like when they get you into that office, the up-sells begin, negotiating with the mysterious GM, signing handwritten pieces of paper that we all know are a gimmick and all the "what if" questions start. With John its different he shows you a bunch of options and packages and you can pick what you want that fits your budget or none at all. He actually (as other people have mentioned) cares about the people buying these cars not about making max commission. Other dealerships need to take a look at how these guys do business, us millennials usually like keeping human interaction at a minimum which is why even before covid we had self checkouts and people were buying Teslas with their credit cards from home. The way these guys managed to make this car buying experience such a pleasant one I will most definitely continue shopping here, recommending it to family and friends and spreading the good word about Guelph Kia. P.S. Shout out to Melanie she's really awesome and adds to the whole overall buying experience. She is so friendly on the phone and makes you feel welcome and that your business is appreciated.

This is why people don’t trust mechanics and dealerships. I took my 2015 Kia Soul here after needing to to call roadside to jump my car that wouldn’t start. It definitely sounded like a battery issue. I took it to Kia so if any issues were under warranty they could fix them free. After booking me in for the next day (which I appreciated!), they suggested it was not a battery issue but I needed several services: fuel line service, ccv filter replacement, tightening of alternator belt, and replace spark plugs. All this at a total cost of $460. I noted they had done a fuel line service only 3 months ago, at which point the guy on the phone told me “..oh, yeah, so not that one.” There’s a reg flag for ya. I decided to take my car to my usual mechanic to have these services done. Again, I only use Guelph Kia for warranty service because EVERY TIME I go to the dealership for service I feel ripped off. Plus, I’d rather support my honest and local small business mechanic. Since I was looking at paying that much, I would rather give it to them. 3 months ago, Kia had already charged me $850 and brushed off my concerns about that not fixing the issue before I insisted they continue investigating and they finally discovered that the problem was a part covered by warranty. My regular mechanic told me that none of the services recommended by Kia were needed, and my battery was in fact testing boarder line, and replacing it should prevent future stranding. This was only $275. When my warranty is up, I will never take my Soul back to Guelph Kia.

Rude people! The service department is slow. They have had my sisters Mary Magro, brand new 2020 kia forte with only 4300 kms on it which broke down on the side of the 401 with no ability to move forward (likely a transmission issue) since Tuesday April 29. Date is now May 4th and they are just gonna look at it now to see what the problem is. No offer of a rental till my car is fixed oh and lets talk about the roadside service....yes we will send a tow truck to get your car and leave you standing on the side of the 401 at Leslie and 404! Fighting to get her tow bill paid that I had to incurr to prevent standing on the road. NEVER EVER EVER BUY A KIA OR DEAL WITH GUELPH DEALERSHIP! Oh and Dont ever speak your mind or mention lawsuit cause then they wont fix your car. In fact they called my sister to come get it because I said law suit. So Monday May 4th I had it towed to Kingston Kia (where I live) and Dan fixed it happily......by the way it was the transmission. Car was returned to owner by Thursday! Great work Dan and Guelph Kia you guys are rude.

My last google review was asked to be taken down in exchange of a "free oil change", which i refused. I was giving the service dept another chance as the GM called and apologised for the mishap. However, once again I was disappointed. My original tires were not returned to me when my car went for a winter tires and they asked me to come again to pick it up. When i said i don't have time right now they sent someone home to drop the tires off, however the tires were not in any plastic which damaged my alloy rims. I sent the GM an email about this and he replied saying "Ok". I work as a customer service rep myself, so i know what its like to deal with difficult customers. However i also know why good service is, and this is not it. save yourself the hassle and find a different dealership.

Initially purchasing our 2015 Optima was a very pleasant experience. Flawless transaction and friend sales staff. We had Guelph Kia switch our winter tires at the end of 2015 and had them store and reinstall them in 2016. It was rather seemless. Due to financial concerns, we opted not to use winter tires durning the last winter. This year, not being able to arrange timing to get to Guelph, we choose to have a familiar local mechanic install our winter tires. After searching the vehicle, it was discovered that there was no lock socket for the security lug nuts on our car. The locks had to be cut off the vehicle and replaced. Upon calling Guelph Kia, the last service team that had their hands on the vehicle, they insisted that they would not have touched our tool. Yet, no where in the vehicle can it be found. The service representative refused to offer any solution and insisted the “every vehicle has one, so if it’s not there, then there is nothing I can do.” Speaking as a person that has over 25 years of experience in the service industry, this is not an acceptable way to deal with customers. My suggestion..if you want to buy a Kia, the sales team is fantastic. If you need service, go to Cambridge...you’ll be much happier with the service there.

Offering cars on Kijiji that are being sold as is untested no guarantee might not be able to be registered seems more of a curbsider strategy than something you would expect a big name reputable dealer to do. I mean if the car is shot to that extent, why are you still trying to pawn it off on the public for big money? There ought to be a law that dealers can only sell certified autos to eliminate this dumping of less than optimal goods.

Our 2021 Kia Sorento Story. Firstly I'd like to thank Chris, Brent and John for helping us in our quest for what my wife and I consider to be the SUV of our dreams. It was a long road to get there but it was completely worth it. We initially went into Kia to buy a 2020 Sorento, but were very late in the season and the availability in the trim package of our choice was unavailable. From that point on we made the decision to put our order in for the 2021. With great intel from our sales guy(Chris) we really couldn't believe how many extras were added with the model year change. We were very excited. Again through our excitement we definitely made it known through emails ,phone calls and texts when we could expect it to arrive. The guys were very courteous and gave us as much information as was available to them. To sum up, we are so happy with our new ride. The showroom was so busy that the finance manager John French , stepped up and took care of selling us the vehicle and helped us through the whole process. Got an amazing deal on my used 2005 Kia Sorento and have been extremely satisfied with how I've been treated in service. Donny, the service manager, always remembers details I've told him in the past and makes me feel like part of the family.
