It w was s a bitter experience especially from the sales department. I went there to have the recalss of my car and at the time i saw a car over there and i wished ro buy it. So i asked them to shaw the car. They told me to wait. I spend almost 2 hours over there but noone considered my request. Really disappointed from the experience and the service department also didnt checked the issue with my remote start. They told that its not their companh product so they are not able to help me. But i bought the remote start from Scarborough agincourt hyundai. If they cant give service to an external p4oduct why they are selling such products in the showroom.i never expected this from hyundai.

I have gotten two vehicles from Hyundai and have always been very happy with the help from the friendly staff. Chris and Tamara are fantastic! Service is always quick and prices are not to bad. I had a problem with my first vehicle (Santa fe), it ended up getting "over buffed" which was not done at hyndai but at the dealership down the street, and they gave me free oil changes for a whole year. I don't think I'll ever change car dealerships personally ????????‍♀️

I walked into the dealership one weekend at the end of October, without knowing they were having a blowout sale. They were very busy and I didn't have an appointment. Nonetheless, everyone at the dealership was extremely accommodating for the short period of time I waited to meet with a Sales Representative - which ended up being Tom. He was extremely knowledgeable and pleasant. He took the time to listen to what I was looking for and then showed me a number of different vehicles that were all within my budget. We went for a couple of test drives and he was more than willing to continue with more but my mind had been made up, I was going with the Tucson N-Line. When it came time to assess my trade-in value, the Sales Manager, Aaron, was brought over to assist on what they could do for me in terms of that. In past experiences, I had felt short-changed. That's when the Guelph Hyundai team continued to WOW me by offering a very generous return. Something I felt was maximum value. As someone who has been through the experience of purchasing a vehicle 4 times now, this was far and away the best and most comfortable start-to-finish experience I have had to date. Guelph Hyundai service department = no clue They have zero clue what they are doing!! I brought my car there for an abs issue to which they had my car for three weeks!!! Then charged me $300 to turn my rotors which was never an issue and never fixed the abs issue!!! Then they insisted that I fill the loaner car with gas while they left mine barely able to reach the gas station!! Service “manager” doesn’t actually manage anything. Claims to escalate the issue but it never moved from his desk and the abs issue was never fixed!! When I pressed further I was told it would be like looking for a needle in a haystack since none of the lights were coming on. Then the manager had the audacity to claim that I just don’t want to pay to have it fixed?!? Really?! I thought that’s why it there?!? Complete lack of customer service and professionalism. It’s as if the whole place is being run by kids!

I did not enjoy my purchase at all. First financing was confusing and when I understood it was hard for them to believe that I got it. They were losing money and started behaving oddly. No body explained me anything about the new car it was me who called them and ask but other than that 0 star for everything.

The new Santa Cruz I've been driving broke on December 24th I had to get a mechanic off shift to fix it. I got no invoice as he had to come to my parents house to fix it! When I tried to take it back to the dealership I was told "we are not looking at it because it is already fixed" I informed them I still had trouble with the tonneau cover sticking. They still refused to look at it. They also never offered to book it in to make sure it got fixed. They never even offered me reimbursement or oil changes to make up for the amount it cost me to fix the malfunction in the vehicle. When I went back with my husband the night of to cancel the extended warranty and the trailer hitch the Sales Manager refused to sign the Extended Warranty Cancellation form and "didn't know how to process the form".

We felt the sales team were honest and really cared to explain the features and options while providing good advice. They also quickly found the exact vehicle we wanted and had it delivered in a timely manner. Although we had a few glitches with some of the delivery preparation at the start, Hyundai Guelph completely owned the situation and went above and beyond to make things right. It is a disaster. They will give importance to you when you go for a purchase only. No one will answer you when you have any issue with your car that you recently purchased. Even if you visit the place to book service or explain about your problem, they will ask you to book an appointment through phone. I don’t really know why you need to call for an appointment when you are actually at the show room. I’ve recently purchased Hyundai Elentra 2021 model Ultimate with tech specs. They even forced me to take warrenty for tech specs, but when I call or approach them to explain abou the issue with tech specs, no one will care about you. I would never recommend this place for a new car buyer.

Brought my car in a few weeks ago to have some service done. Staff was ready for me when I arrived with a smile on their faces. Car went in on schedule and repair was completed without issue. The technician brought out the old/broken part and explained the repair. Sat inside the showroom and had a coffee while I waited for the repair to be completed. Price was as quoted and my car was washed up for me when it was ready to go. We all have a "story" about a mechanic but Guelph Hyundai wasn't that way for me. Will have no issues recommending it to family and friends. I'll be back the next time any issues come up with my car!

Warning! If you want to buy a used car there, please be careful. I got a used car from there and on the first day I found over 10scratches and grinding noise when I drove. Also, they promise to update navigation. However, navigation wasn’t working at all. They took the car back and fix them. Most importantly, be careful when you sign the paper and read through everything. I paid over $1600 for the service of rust protection which I rejected.

Customer service is TERRIBLE if you are buying a used vehicle…purchased a 2018 Jeep and the day of pick up the Jeep wouldn’t start…dirty interior and previous owners belongings still in the vehicle. If I hadn’t already traded in my truck and signed the papers I would have taken my business elsewhere. Very nice people until you make the purchase. I would NOT recommend this dealership.

I called and made an appointment on Friday. I got an for Monday. I took my car in and after not hearing from them after 24 hours I called and was told they hadn’t looked at it yet because it was winter tire season they were busy. I got upset because I made an appointment the needed my car. I hung up on them. Within an hour an half my car was fixed. All they had to do was lube up the the shifter. I’m not confident it’s fix. Edit Wednesday it’s not fixed. Have called and they are very busy with winter tire season… this is exactly what they said so something I’ve already paid for and is not fixed may get fixed next week. They also wrecked my car. I brought it in with a manual mode now that’s gone. I feel like I’m constantly explaining things but they are not listening and the person I’m explaining it to doesn’t have a clue.

A rental/loaner car was not able to be arranged and I was put on a waiting list for one and was never contacted. I went 2 weeks without a car and nothing was offered to me as a solution.

Booked an appointment 2 days prior for 2 recall notices. Requested a loaner vehicle as I live half an hour away and the appointment would take several hours. Arrived to discover that my appointment was not put into the system. Disappointed. Lots of wasted driving time. Had to rebook.

This dealership is incredibly disorganized. Salesmen are unable to locate cars that are on their website. Managers do not communicate with each other or members of the sales team. I arrived for an appointment for a test drive. The salesman was unable to locate a that vehicle. I agreed to return two days later when they found it. When I arrived, despite a manager calling to confirm my appointment, they did not have a vehicle ready for me to drive. I was required to wait up to 30 minutes between vehicles because they did not know where they were located. I found a vehicle that I agreed to purchase; I left a deposit and signed the paperwork, again, only after waiting for someone to meet with me. I spoke on the phone with the sales manager and agreed to pick up the vehicle one week later. He was to call me later in the week to advise of the remaining balance owing. After considerable phone tag, the day before I was meant to pick up the car, I was told that it had been sold to another dealer! It was a battle to secure the return of my $5000 down payment. No apology received, only excuses and pressure to purchase a more expensive, completely different car. Don't buy your car here.

A month after purchase my cars check engine light came on twice. James said it needed a software update but this did not resolve the issue. James was extremely rude when I expressed to him that I could not continue to come back to Hyundai for this and it needs to be comprehensively checked by a manager since I am on-call 24/7. He would not direct me to a manager. He completely dismissed my concerns. Then proceeded not to fit me in that day despite the fact that I had been there a week earlier and could not drive my car. The receptionist told me the manager was at his desk and he let the call ring out several times. Left a message and was never called back. I explained the situation to Cambridge Hyundai and they fit me in the same day despite being full. They had a manager check over my car and it turns out the thermostat was broken. Take away: Don’t buy Hyundai, if you’ve already done it, take it to Cambridge. The only saving grace in this situation is that we were going to buy 6 company cars from Hyundai but after this situation we went with Toyota instead.

When I called to make my appointment I explained I just had an oil change and my winter tires put on so I didn’t need my tires balanced or an alignment done. When they called to speak to me when my car was in I was working and I asked if it was possible to call back and he said he needed to discuss what they found needed replaced. I asked again if they could call back as I work childcare and had upset children at the time who were crying and could not hear well. He continued to explain what needed to be done. All I could hear was what the service charge was, the transmission service cost and the one set of breaks. I okayed these costs but when they called to say it was ready and told me the total is was $2400. My partner and myself went in to discuss the invoice and what was done the service department had closed at 2 and there was nobody there to speak to just the receptionist who had no idea about the service department at all so she could not help. We went over the invoice after finally being able to pay for it as our limits on our cards for a day is $1000 and couldn’t pay the full amount using our debit cards, we asked if they accepted e-transfers and they did not. We weren’t prepared for the price. It was shocking. We discovered on the invoice they had charged me for an oil change, an alignment and two service charges for breaks one around $600 and another $700. They charged for three extra things I was not aware of, they either said it on the phone call and I couldn’t hear which is why I asked for a call back or they just went ahead and charged me without asking. Again I specifically said on the phone when I made the appointment I didn’t need an oil change or an alignment as it was just done. My experience was not a happy one with Hyundai and There should be someone that works for the service department there for car pickups.

I hate to write a bad review because everyone has bad days but I’m telling you that buying a car here has been the worst experience ever for me. I wish I stayed local first of all, horrible decision on my part. First of all the hours of service are not that flexible, my last dealership was open until 8 pm and when my warranty is over I’ll be going back. Due to work and my child, I don’t have a lot of hours to come in. So I booked an oil change on my lunch hour. Specifically told them I only had 1 hour tops to get there, give them my keys and take a loner back to work. When I arrived, there was no loner car. The person that helped me also said they could’ve taken me at a different time which if I knew I never would’ve booked an oil change on my lunch. I would just do this myself if doing your own work didn’t defect the warranty. On top of that, the estimate they gave me was 100$ off. Lost time at work, over paid and was not happy. So what did they do? Give me free tire storage. So great right makes up for everything. Second experience -Booked my tire swap on a day that I didn’t have to rush during my lunch hour. When I got here they didn’t ask me for my keys, of course I should’ve known to leave my keys oops right. Who’s responsible though the mechanic or I to make sure they have what they need? That’s fine they grabbed my keys, tipped the driver no problem. They told me and I quote “an hour tops” Ive been Waiting 2.5 hours. I’m still waiting. I walked back to the dealership in the hail after the hour mark. Don’t worry… I’m still waiting. What kind of condition do you think I’m going to get my tires back next year? Any guesses?

This is the last time I bring my Tucson to guelph Hyundai. Charged me $150.00tax in to inspect my ac . Had a hole in the condenser. No need to do the whole inspection that was the obvious problem. Then a quote of over $1200.00 to fix it. Local guy gonna do it for 800 something. Every time you bring your vehicle in they're trying to up sell you for $500 to $1000. Get snow tires changed oh you need this or that for hundreds. Charged 125 to store winter tires 25 in town. Pure money grab with smiley sales clowns.

I have a definite feel good story about my recent experience with Guelph Hyundai. Two weeks ago, I was almost home from my daily commute, when the engine in my 2013 Sonata gave out. With my work being 75kms from where I live, I agonized over what I was going to do, and how much I would have to fork out to get back on the road. On the recommendation of Milton Hyundai, because of proximity, I had my car towed to Guelph Hyundai to get checked out. This model Sonata has an engine with recognized issues that I hadn't known about. Being an older car I was ready for the worst news, when the opposite news came from Guelph Hyundai. Yes, my engine was toast, but a new engine had been ordered, and it would be replaced at no cost to me. I was told a loaner vehicle had been set aside, and all I had to do was come and pick it up. I drove a 2020 Venue while they waited on the engine to arrive, and they notified me yesterday that the car would be ready to pick up today. I picked it up at 5pm today and it feels great, in spite of the wet driving conditions. Thank you Guelph Hyundai for going above and beyond to get me back on the road, and I'm very grateful for the way I was treated throughout the entire process. I'm also appreciative that Hyundai Canada stands behind their product as strongly as they do, and I won't hesitate to make my next vehicle purchase a Hyundai. Went for my second oil change with my new car. They neglected to push the dipstick all the way down, so the engine light came on after I left the dealership and the engine ran extremely rough. I pushed it back in and the engine works fine now, but the engine light is still on. Also, for some weird reason the car smells like both burning oil and oil. I wonder whether they completely overfilled the engine or spilled oil all over the engine compartment. All in all, poor quality workmanship. I would expect more for a $75 oil change.

Was supposed to be a 45min to hour service. No worries I went back to work no rush. 2pm I called to find out if car ready..no one available and was told I'd get a call back. 4pm no call. I got a drive to pick it up. James very pleasant again and apologized for the mixed phone number and no call. He even pointed out saying there is your nice clean car. Well it wasn't. They had my car for 6hours and no car wash. Was pretty disappointed. Didn't get the warm feeling walking in there either. I've always had a Dodge and the boys at the Dodge center up the street are amazing. Make you feel welcomed. This lot could learn from them

This place is a joke. Simply put: go somewhere else. Our engine seized on our Tucson, even though the recall was done last year. Thankfully Hyundai Canada covered it under warranty, but the dealership was a horrible experience. Between staff members kicking each other in the private parts, most not wearing masks and others wearing garbage bins on their head thinking it was funny. I tried to speak to a manager and was told he was too busy to talk to me. I will never buy a Hyundai product again.
