This guy is great. I needed a lug nut on a holiday Monday. He wouldent even take any money. I had a tire repaired at a very famous Canadian store that has tire in the name and they forgot to put a lug back on.

They don't try and scrounge you down for parts and labour, he's the most honest mechanic i've come across in 20 years. Nice family man and looking to save you a buck at every corner possible. Very nice people. This is a small family business that does their best to sell and service a niche market of older and middle aged cars. A most difficult market to be sure and one in which very few dealers are willing to undertake. I would highly recommend this business to anyone who is looking for a decently priced car.

Balkan's Jovo is an honest, knowledgeable mechanic that repairs what his shop is good at. He will recommend other solutions if he is unable to do the repair at his shop. I have never purchased any vehicles from him, but if he stands by his sales as much as his repair work... safe bet!

I had a problem with my brakes. Called Balkan on Friday, got an appointment for Monday, we went for a test drive and he correctly diagnosed the problem and showed proof to me back at the garage. After a couple of hours he had my brakes fixed with new rotors and pads, the oil changed and the air conditioning fixed. It was short of a miracle for a very reasonable price. Thanks!

Took my car in for a broken axle and got it fixed for a very reasonable price. I would have had to pay way more elsewhere if we hadn't found this place. Car was in and out in a few hours and drives much better. Will definitely come back for other services since our older car definitely needs more work. Highly recommended!

Last fall I bought a car from them. It's turned out to be an amazing car great price Mitsubishi Outlander 2007 for only $4000 certified. Some think it's way newer then it is cause it is in such great shape. I got a nail in the tire and had Canadian tire fix it they didn't notice a weight fell off from the tire going flat was shaking on the 401 took it to him and he balanced my tires and that was the issue which Canadian tire didn't think to check. Also His wife Tanya is a sweetheart. When I bought the car I live in Cambridge drove to Guelph with a friend realized I forgot my plates at home my friend had to go to work in Guelph couldn't drive me back. When I told Tanya my situation she offered to drive me home and back and get my plates. Said she knows how it feels to not be able to complete something. I took her up on it. Talked much during our drive to Cambridge and back to Guelph. Such a great person. Even offered to buy lunch on the way. GREAT PEOPLE trust worthy very honest and willing to go above and beyond for their customers. I highly recommended them for repairs and purchases.

Had the worst experience. Bought a car that was safetied and e-tested (Pfft) but a week later the engine light came on!! Had to take the car back 4 times and it still having problems. Took it to a real mechanic and found out the car isn't safe enough to put my children in!! Seriously how do these ppl scam good ppl!! Now I have to put so much more money into it. Don't give them your business it WILL backfire.

Went through 2 cars from this place in less than 2 months. Both needed repairs during the time we had them, and both were never repaired properly (if at all). Asked for an estimate on the final repair and he just went ahead and "did the work" (so he said) without giving us an estimate at all, then asked for $750. We had to haggle him down to a price we were willing to pay, but the very next day the engine light went on and the brakes were bad. I don't think any work was actually done. Asked for our money back and was only given 50% of what we paid for the vehicle, not including any of the repair costs. Do not purchase from this place, or get repairs done here. It's a total joke.

Honestly awful, I would never recommend this place to anyone looking to buy or have a car serviced. I bought a car there in August of 2015 and ave had nothing but problems... when i bought it it was "safetied and e-tested"( which had to have been complete crap because not even a week later the engine light, abs and SRS light were all on). I had to take the car back there 9 times to have the problem corrected and it was never corrected leaving me no choice but to go to a real mechanic and pay for the repairs. The engine light has been on since a few days after I bought the car and I still have yet to come up with the money to have the issue fixed. I bought the car for $3,500 and to date have put in around 2,000 for repairs when it has not even yet been 1 year of owning it and in October I am scheduled to have more repairs done which will cost around $1000 more dollars. Not to mention while he was supposedly "repairing" an issue he broke the leaver that is used to open the hood of the car and was supposed to repair it for free it has been 8 months and he never repaired it- an extra cost to put on top of the repairs I have been paying for! Absolutely terrible, do not waste your time using their services...

I'd give this place 0 stars if I could. Sold me a car promising it was perfect and I wouldn't have any problems (firstly, you should never promise that to someone when selling a used car). As soon as I drove it home the air conditioning stopped working, and I had issues with my engine randomly turning off at stop lights. Every time I went to try and get something fixed the owners showed up 15-20 minutes late, which is ridiculous considering they open at 9:30. Then he couldn't fix my air conditioning before the warranty was done. Even though he promised me he did a full oil change, I had to get my oil changed two months after I got the car and another mechanic showed me the disgusting black oil filter that he said hadn't been changed in a year or more and would have ruined my car if I hadn't brought it in when I did. The cherry on top is that the extra key they gave me with my car didn't have a microchip in it, no buttons or anything, just a shell and key. I didn't realize this was a problem at the time but has now cost me abut $800 to fix. It's clear they just tried to sell me a car not carefully making sure it would be in great condition for me. I do not recommend this place to anyone unless you want greedy people that don't care about their customers. :)

I don't know how he even has a bad review. I guess once in a blue moon a mechanic doesn't get a fair shake with a lemon car (not their fault!!). But honestly myself, family and friends have all bought cars here and they're perfect!! He goes out of his way to guarantee his cars and will fix anything that goes wrong (even though he doesn't have to!!) . Highly recommend this place, very honest !
