Where to start? Overall exceptional experience from Dominique Richardson and the team at Nor-Lan Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. After a disappointing experience in Edmonton, we went back to Grande Prairie and Nor-Lan where we bought our first Jeep Wrangler 7 years ago. Professional and helpful service from Dominique from the get-go, with a very specific set of wishes on our wish-list - and she knocked it out of the park. We were able to do much of the sale by telephone and digitally making things so much easier. Had my vehicle in for a theft recovery inspection and wheel alignment. The inspection found things I didn't know about yet, so I appreciate that. Checking in my vehicle was fine, but trying to get an update or pickup was a little annoying. They would ask me who my advisor was each time. It had been three days since drop off I was a little annoyed with this. Just ask me my name, what i brought in or my phone number and look up my info. The drive in service department was nice, and the shuttle guy was friendly. Overall I am happy with them, just don't recommend making your customers remember your staff on a simple service. Sales would be different.

We had the best experience with the staff at Nor-Lan. They were a pleasure to deal with. They listened to our wants and needs on a new Dodge Ram 1500 (we had a list). Nor LAN had a HUGE selection of Dodge Ram trucks on their lot to choose from. Brand new vehicles with modifications, custom picked out by the staff themselves. They not only met our needs and showed us exactly what we were looking for but got us into our dream truck with everything we already wanted on it and more for the price we wanted it for. Tanner and the rest of the staff were helpful, accommodating and were excited to find the perfect truck for us. They were honest, they have a no BS approach and didn’t push us into or have us look at anything other than what was on our list. In high school I had the worst girlfriend you could imagine for 4 years on and off. This relationship was so toxic. Everyone had warned me about her, from close friends to total strangers. They told me I would regret it, and did I ever. She would lie through her teeth. She cost me so much anguish, headaches and money over the years. Once I thought I could finally have some money for myself, then she would come up with something else that she needed it for. She was not reliable at all and often left me hanging, out of nowhere. The sad thing is, she wasn't even that attractive and I was embarrassed to be seen with her. Her quality was non existent. I don't know what I was thinking!? Anyways, I would rather see what she's up to than buy another Dodge, especially from Nor-Lan.

We bought a great vehicle there! Yet, watch their tactics! We agreed to a price for the vehicle. When they presented to us the weekly payment price for signature, they inflated the total cost by almost $4k (above taxes, interest etc). They were sneaky, and it wasn't good, I had to ask them to recheck their calculation before signing twice, they of course were sheepish each time - bottom line: tabulate your weekly payment price before you sign anything. To add insult to injury, they promised to send Theatre tickets as well as a thank you gift for the sale, yet never sent.

This place was by far my best car buying experience yet! I have visited many car dealerships and used car lots in Grande Prairie but this one was my favorite. Personally, I'm a Ford type of man. I did spend time looking at trucks at lots elsewhere but the customer service wasn't there and salesmen were pushy. I driven by this lot a few times before I finally drove into this one. This was the day I drove my first Dodge Ram 1500. The truck drove like a dream and the instant power behind the wheel is amazing! Absolutely the worst customer service I've ever recieved, took the better part of 2 summers to fix a/c issue in a Dodge based van, they replaced just about every major component on the van, 2 years warranty on parts, conveniently it was never the replacement part but something new. $4000 later and the a/c works but there's a rather loud banging in the rear of the van like maybe something is not tightened down, but there is no way it's going back there, will take it anywhere to get that repaired. I have to say there's some good people that work there, and to them I feel sorry. I used to like the place and the people that worked there as I have previously purchased 4 vehicles there, bit never again, I'm ever so glad there's another Dodge dealer in this town.

I bought my 2500 here last year. I was treated with great customer service. Very pleased with the positive atmosphere from the sales side. The reason I'm rating it so lowly is because I was lied to. I ordered the truck from factory to get the one I wanted. The sales guy told me I would get the free oil change for life deal upon ordering the vehicle. 3 months later when my truck comes in I go to sign for it. After I've signed the papers they decide to shred the paperwork and tell me they need to change it because since I got the up sized 6.4L engine rather than the 5.7L I'm not eligible for the oil change deal. I asked why I wasn't informed of this prior to this point and was told no you don't get that deal because the bigger engine uses synthetic oil. I was offered a different deal that was unacceptable. I offered to pay more for the deal to compensate but that was denied. Nice place, good vehicles. Just don't believe everything you're told.

This was years ago, probably in 2013 or so, but the memory came back as I'm getting some work done on a similar truck at a different place and a similar issue came up. Brought my 2005 3/4 ton in to have the brakes replaced and have them go over the truck while I was at home for a week off and wanted to leave it with them while I was away. Was told that a few pieces of my steering components were worn out and needed to be replaced, Ok lets get that taken care of as well. That truck had a recall to upgrade to a new "kit" for the steering components, my trucks warranty had just ended a month or two prior to bringing it in. Was told that they couldn't just replace the worn parts as there was a new kit to replace the old style steering components which would cost an extra +/- $1500.00. Luckily for me my neighbor and friend was a mechanic at a dodge dealership in a different city. I had him do all my work on my truck. I was confused as I thought he had already done the upgrade under warranty earlier that year while I was getting ball joints replaced, I told them not to do anything and called him to confirm, sure enough he told me that the work was done already, I called and asked about this, still held to the story that it was not done. I'm not sure if there was miscommunication but i told them to put the truck back together and not to fix anything. Was still charged around 2000.00. Obviously was fairly heated over having them try to charge me to put all new parts in that were already in there. I'm sure there's plenty of satisfied customers but I wouldn't return if you paid me to.

I was in the market for a used truck capable of pulling our Fifth Wheel Trailer. I looked at a couple trucks on the Norlan Chrysler site in Grande Prairie and filled out a credit app. I was instantly contacted by Wayne Pelton who said he was going to start looking for a unit.right away. Within an hour, he had sent me a couple choices. We could not get in to do a test drive until Saturday which was Wayne's day off but he came in anyway. Took a unit out for a test drive and sat down with Alex Meadus in Finance, who was great to work with as well. We had some credit challenges to overcome but Alex made it seem easy. I was not sure about the truck we looked at and at the last minute, changed my mind and asked to see some other options. They took it in stride and found me a couple other options and I found the perfect unit at a great price and excellent financing terms. We wrapped up the deal and I pickup the truck this Saturday.. I was fairly close to working out a deal for a new vehicle at another dealership/brand, and wanted to check out some of the used vehicles at Nor-Lan (2022s are coming soon and I wasn't sure if I just wanted to get a 2021 now, buy used or wait). I ended up working out a deal on a new 2021 I was very happy with. The prices ended up being competitive or better than what I was finding elsewhere in GP and in Edmonton and Calgary. Adam Heslop, the salesman at Nor-Lan was also very good at working out the options and details to come together with something that was a great alternative to what I had pretty much had my mind already set on. I happened to start near the end of the month and was very busy with other things in work/life, but Adam helped me check out and do a bunch of test drives to allow me to be confidant in my decision (whether I went with Nor-Lan or not). Since I had options, I wasn't ever worried about walking away if I wasn't able to get something that worked for me, but I never felt pressured to close the sale or to pull the trigger. I came in fairly well researched about what I was looking for, and they didn't pull any of the nonsense tactics I've experienced some places try. Of course, I was told about and offered every option/extra there was, but it's literally the salesperson's job to do that. I went with the ones I was interested in, and wasn't hassled to take any that I wasn't. Overall, I'm very happy with the buying experience and the vehicle I ended up with. The sales vibe, pricing and options made it the clear choice. I'm hoping it will be many years before the next time I have to look for another vehicle, but Adam and Nor-Lan will be the first people I go to when I do!
