Although i bought my new Silverado last year at Doug Marshall, their parts and service department drove me away with horrible service. I have since had all my service and parts needs met at Ken Sargent, and i have nothing but good things to say about the friendly and efficient service.

As someone who has trust issues when it comes to anything vehicle related, my experience here was fantastic. Mel and Jenn answered my many questions, let me give it a thorough look over and test drive and allowed me to make my decisions without pressing me into anything. As per every visit, i've alway's been treated with diginity and respect, had my concern's dealt with profesionaly and in a timely manner. If one is having concern's or issue's, then my suggestion is to be very forth comming as to their need's and want's from the dealership, and also smart enough to inquire as to possible cost's, or charge's which may accrue as the dealership tries to fufill their request's .

Purchased a truck to haul with. Was sold a truck with the wrong gear ratio for hauling. My bad for not knowing about gear ratios BUT their bad for selling me that truck. Went back to trade it in the sales manager would not work with me....how could he offer me any more than value for the trade in "this is a business " his words. Clearly only about the bottom line $$$ I got offered MORE as a trade in at Dodge. I was reasonable asking since it was my fault for not knowing about gear ratios but also theirs for selling me a clear "do not but this gear ratio to pull with on the regular, that they meet me in the middle for the loss. 100% this dealership is only about PROFIT and not customer satisfaction.

Browsed the lot after hours as we were hostelling it while traveling. Came across a new white jacked up accessories GMC on display just outside the building which was totally unlocked.
The sales team is good. But everytime I have to go into service department it's like getting your teeth pulled out. WOW! Trying to get an answer is impossible and if you start asking to many questions they seem to get aggravated with you.
Unfortunately they didn't work on my vehicle on the scheduled appointment date, and kept it overnight. But diagnosed and we're honest with repairs and their cost.

They are always awesome doing my oil changes here. Today I went to get a new key cut and the lady at the parts desk was super helpful. Another person had to go out to my truck to check something which was parked across the street. When he came back he told me he pulled my truck up beside the door for me as I had “broken wheels”???? is how he put it and didn’t want me to fall at all. I was wearing a knee brace because ironically I fell the other day walking out to my truck. Made my day coming here!

I just bought my 2013 used Chevrolet Equinox from here..... I can NOT express how happy I am with EVERYONE I have dealt with. Starting off with Mel Fougere, who unfortunately due to Covid -19 was unable to continue assisting me in the purchase of my vehicle, therefore he asked if I would mind dealing with a co worker by the name of Gerald Lambert. After speaking with Gerald, I was then referred to Steve Ball in finance. I can NOT express how amazing "my team" was in helping me with getting the vehicle I had found on their website! I refer to the three gentlemen as "my team" as they were very accommodating, to help me achieve the vehicle I had my heart set on! Also due to Covid-19 I was unable to travel from the Northwest Territories to Grande Prairie to get my vehicle, as planned for June 20,2020. Again, this amazing team of mine, made it possible for my vehicle to be transported , so as of May 23,2020, I have my newish baby & absolutely LOVE her!!!! Staff were friendly. Tried to fit me in to put a tire on my vehicle that had beem put on a rim. Purchased the tire at GM . Informed a bay would be available in 20 minutes but 45 minutes later vehicle still wasn't in . Had to leave without new tire on vehicle.

We recently purchased a used car from Ken Sargent. We worked with Mel Fougere in sales and Steve Ball in finance. The whole experience was great from start to finish. Mel respected our stated budget and only showed us cars that were in that range. (In the end we upsold ourselves a little) Mel answered our questions fully and completely, listening carefully to both the husband questions and the wife questions. He never answered a question we didn't ask, such as suggesting a car that was out of budget, or in any way implying that "any car" would fit us as long as it meant a sale. Thank you Mel! Steve Ball handled finance and paperwork in a time that fit our schedule and the process went smoothly. We were completely happy with our purchase experience as we drove away in our new car.

I had a horrible experience in this side of the dealership. The General Manger was rude, condescending and genuinely uncaring. Zero customer service at all. I worked in dealerships for long time and can't even imagine anyone I worked with caring that little. Thumbs down Ken Sargent. The service dept is amazing but my next GM product will come from Edmonton.

The absolute worst service after purchase is made. I went in from a parking lot across the street b/c my brakes weren't working properly all of a sudden. I was told they could fit me in later next week to have it looked at. I reiterated it's my brakes.This is a safety issue on a truck a year and a half old purchased from them. Sorry sir. Other people have appointments ahead of you. Also with any warranty work, they couldn't care less that its costing me my time to drop it off for a full day to get looked at, let alone how long parts and repair take to come in and be replaced. Spent $80k on a new vehicle and had to twist their arm to throw in a GMC travel mug. I strongly recommend purchasing anywhere else in the province or even western Canada before dealing with these arrogant people. Top to bottom.

Never again will I take my truck into the service shop!! I took my truck in for transmission problems and $900 later in labour charges they finally figured out what was wrong with the transmission. I payed $900 to drive my truck home with same issue. Gotta love when customers pay for training there mechanics.

No pressure attitude and always got back to me with any questions I had. Don't waste your time going to Edmonton thinking you'll save money. These guys will meet or beat it!

The service department is top notch. I had my truck towed there this past Monday as it would not turn over. I was scheduled in to be looked at on Thursday. They squeezed me in the next morning, and had it fixed before 9 AM.

From out of town,working in the area, my truck started hesitating & was getting worse, Service engine light on, called & they said bring it in, couldn't guarantee it would get looked at that day but would try. Dropped it off around 8 am, asked where the nearest rental was, Brenda (Service Writer) said she could check w/one that they have an arrangement with - lined it all up. Got a call at around 3PM to let me know it was in the shop, next call around 5:30 - Ready! Mass Air Flow Sensor - warranty. Super impressed with Brenda & the whole experience !!

Don't ask them to check the tires, that's too much like work. And when they do they over inflate them so much my tires all had center tread damage within 1000kms.

My wife and I have done business with 4 different car dealerships over our car buying years and I have never had a positive car buying experience until I came to Ken Sargent Gm. We were so stuck with our huge payments and I was on layoff alert we had to get into something cheaper but 3 other dealerships laughed at me, called me names in front of my children and my wife and told me that what I really wanted was more debt so they wouldn't even show me used vehicles....right. Because you know what I need better than I know what I need. And I had my bank pre-finance the whole deal so that it would be an easy transfer, I had a cheque in hand and everything. Finally after a very long day with tired whiney children in tow we turned in to Ken Sargent and I told the salesman he had 5 minutes before I would consider my time wasted. He didn't make any remarks about our appearance, he let my son sit in the corvette in the showroom, he complimented my wife and then they brought the vehicle we wanted to look at right up to the front instead of making us walk a mile across their lot like everyone else. The finance manager went way above and beyond to complete the trade during non-business hours and we have now been driving our new vehicle for almost a year. Thank you Ken Sargent GMC for your amazing service and a salesman who knows how to treat people like people, I wish I could send you everyone's business and I would probably make the 18 hour drive from Vancouver to buy another vehicle from you when the time comes.
The used dealership is a fantastic place to go when considering a vehicle. They are honest and easy to work with. They will find a great vehicle for you that matches what you're looking for. If the new dealership is anything like the used side the staff are only the best.
Fast oil change but no extra checks. Didn't even fill my washer fluid or check my tire pressures. Basic as it gets for a fast lube facility.

Excellent service here. Bought my truck at another local dealership that sells GM products... The other dealership was rude to me and lied to me and their office in Ontario about my mistreatment. My experience with GM was bad until I took my truck here for warranty work. They were helpful and after giving them the symptoms of my truck were almost instantly able to diagnose several issues. The mechanics did not mess around turning my truck around in less than 4 days on a procedure that I have had take weeks to get done properly. I would recommend them for any of your gm/Chev issues. I have not bought a vehicle here myself but many of my friends buy vehicles here without any issue.
Husband and I went to Ken Sargent in December looking for a vehicle and the staff were absolutely fantastic! We ended up with a 2014 Jeep Cherokee and the key fobs weren’t working the best and there was a rubbing noise when turning left and right. The dealership told us they would fix those two issues with no cost on our end! Right from the first minute I walked in there I was made to to feel welcome, and I was important. I was first greeted by Kevin Peters the salesman. We went to his office, and he inquired about what I would like. We found the vehicle I was interested in then introduced me to Al. Al was so helpful in buying my new GMC. Both Kevin, and Al are awesome were very helpful and friendly. Made my experience buying a new GMC Sierra a good one. They both deserve a raise in pay. Thank you both Al, and Kevin.
Spoke to service rep. who agreed that diagnosing the Bluetooth problem would not take more than an hour and I would have to return for a second visit to install any parts for this problem since they are not in Stock. The dealer wants me to drop off my vehicle for the entire day for each visit!! I believe this practice is ridiculous, especially when they don't offer a loaner vehicle! Not impressed!

I am beyond disappointed and appalled by the customer service I experienced at Ken Sargent I dropped my vehicle off to get warranty work done I received a call saying it was done I went to pick it up I was handed the keys and told "its out back somewhere just honk the horn" I am 9 months pregnant and having to walk on their slippery lot is unacceptable.

Horrible. Purchased a used vehicle from them and within 7 months have had thousands of dollars in problems with it. Within days of buying I found out the power running boards were shot, and they said there is nothing they can do about it. Now there is major problems with the engine after 15,000 km of driving and the sunroof and power windows are broken.
Steve Hawkes at the parts counter is a man who enjoys a challenge and goes that extra mile. His demeanor as well as his co-workers reminded us of days gone when pride and pleasantries were common place. I've heard great things about their sales staff as well. Based solely on our experience with Mr Hawkes I would absolutely recommend this place!

Been coming here for years. It use to be good but I Went to the quick lube service bay and the attitude on the workers in there is unreal. He was really unprofessional making comments and giving attitude the whole time. Which is funny for someone who's not even a certified mechanic. They really need to get people with better customer service skills in the service side. They lost a customer.

Bought a used pickup from this dealership, it was an off-brand trade in (Ram) so got a good price on it. Very professional, honest and direct to deal with. I’m in Edmonton so did all the dealing remotely, drove the 4 hrs to pick it up and it was exactly as expected, cleaned and ready to go. Both sales and finance departments were great, and I didn’t feel I was treated differently buying used and a different brand (which you get at some dealers). Would certainly use again. Plus they have an original Pontiac Fiero in the showroom, have to appreciate that tacky 80’s piece of history!
This review is for the service department. I make this review as I sit in sales waiting for a transmission flush to be performed on my GMC pickup. I made and appointment for 9:30am to have the service done on my truck. When I arrived every thing seem all good until service was finished taking all my info, they informed me my truck wouldn't be ready until 1:00pm or 2:00pm. What 1 or 2?! I made an appointment, what's the point of an appointment. I was told because I made the appointment online it's only a "drop off time". It does not state anywhere on the website that this is only a "drop off time". Service then said I should have called to make the appointment, but one thing it clearly states on the website is that some one will call me to confirm my appointment. Witch also never happened. I also did try to call twice the Wednesday before but was put on hold for 5 mins the first time, then the second time receptionist said no one was available to take my call after 5 mins of waiting on hold. The fact that I live out of town and need my truck to work really made this situation hard.
I had a staff member drop off a truck for warranty work. We had a new battery we asked them to install simply because my staff was missing an extension to change out the battery himself. My staff member assumed as I would have, they would charge accordingly. 10 maybe 15 minutes tops to swap out a battery. The Final cost for changing out a battery was $112.00 plus $12.72 for Shop charges (Supplies???) I can only assume they went all out a polished the connections to a mirror finish. I and my staff member take full responsibility for not asking what the charge of a battery install would cost. And by no means do we expect a shop to not charge as that is what pays the bills. All company's have different goals of what their cliental look like. Some are looking short term while others are focusing on making a new long term customers. I will ensure going forward we focus on sharing our mechanical work with smaller shops that strive for a sense of community and focus on building long term relationships. I wish Ken Sargent and their staff a safe and healthy year. PS: The form makes you give at least one star. I guess adults and businesses require a participation stickers as well.

Bought my vehicle then when I got it found out it had previous damage which they never told me . Took it to get fixed because the back window was leaking and they still never fixed it properly glass and plastic is not flush looks like trash they also promised to detail the car as their was broken glass everywhere that I had to clean and never detailed it. Seems like they are full of empty promises and lies. I will never purchase here again and highly suggest others to go elsewhere.
I've purchased several vehicles over the last 8 years and by far the last experience I had was the easiest. Darren not only answered all my questions but was genuine with his answers and did it without the obvious sales pitch or pressure while being at a dealership. And these guys are terrible communication with service and parts department. Finally they gave us the prices are all differents each one of department. Sheldon was amazing in sales. So kind, not pushy at all and was willing to work with everything I needed. Service area was another story. I called over a week prior to coming in to get my oil changed because the first time I drove to get it done they didn’t have the filter. (I drive two hours to get to Grande Prairie) When I pulled up the second time he told me they probably weren’t going to do it because they don’t have the filter and the guy in the bay under my vehicle looked at my vehicle and was shaking his head and told the other guy in the bay that he’s not touching my vehicle until they see if he has the part. I had to make it clear that I called before hand to ensure they had it before I made the trip. The entire time they were rolling their eyes at me and when I asked them if I had to pay for air in my tires (as some places charge) he looked at me like I was a complete idiot. Probably wouldn’t come here if I wasn’t given free oil changes when I made my purchase.

Overall I appreciate that the service centre was able to repair my flat tire however, they charged me 150.00 to repair the flat tire. This is absurd to charge an hour shop rate to repair a flat tire when the going the rate is about 50$. I could have just bought a new tire. It does not matter if I had a trailer on the back as mentioned if you would have drove it into the lube bay jacked it up you could have done it without going outside. I personally feel this is unethical and I would not use Ken Sargent brand in the future. However I ended up getting better service and new car from Another dealership which was an overall Better experience.

Took my truck in with a couple minor issues with traction control and picked it up with even more issues no 4wd, no power windows, no turn signal, no dash lights and they said they drove it and it was fine lol. This place is a joke when I took it back in the morning they say it's not related to the work they done it's just a coincidence well that's quite some coincidence so because it wasn't there fault that all the issues occurred as soon as I picked it up I had to pay another 250$ due to sam peter doing a poor job the first time and not owning up to his mistakes. When I need work done I'm gonna go to the Chevrolet dealership in gp cause they will at least fix your vehicles the first time and not beat around the bush about it
