We had an awesome experience purchasing my fiancé her first luxury SUV. Doug Robinson made this experience very easy, and the easiest transition from her truck to an SUV. Doug was more than happy to get us out on a test drive and get her truck appraised while we were out, once we were back he already had the numbers all figured out. This was the first time we didn’t have to haggle a salesman for a better trade in price, he came out with the maximum amount he could offer us, and we were blown away! She of course needed the weekend to think it over, as usual, but Doug got ahold of us Monday morning and we started the process on our new vehicle. After the financing was approved Tuesday we got to sign and do the trade that evening, Doug stayed late and made sure we knew how to use all the features and set up the keys, also explained all our new perks with Cadillac we weren’t aware of. Doug always had a smile on his face the whole time, and made sure when we left, that we were nothing more than satisfied. I would recommend Doug to anyone that is looking to get in a new Cadillac, or even a Chevy! Thanks for everything Doug, you rock!

I purchased my Silverado new in 2016. My salesman and the sales manager did a good job selling me a top line truck, even if the demo they tried to offer to me was a complete mess left by the Gen Manager. The problem however is with the service department. After the first year, with so many rude encounters and inconveniences, i contacted GM Canada. They apologized and referred me to Ken Sargent for all my Service needs. Have been taking my GM vehicals there ever since, and would not to buisness with Doug Marshall again.

Their price on the gently used 2019 Ford Ranger that I bought could not be beat anywhere in Alberta and their service was top notch. They also refuse to pay out referrals not that I would recomend but I did twice before my experiences with shop. They get the paper work done and tell ya to fly a kite. Will never be back .

Will never be back, had the girlfriend take my truck in for an 8 am oil change appointment. After waiting until 930 am she approached the desk to inquire about the wait, only to be informed they didn't even have the truck in the bay yet! She asked what was going on because we had an appointment. She was informed the "appointment" isn't really an "appointment" its a drop off time, and they would "get to it when we get to it." She told them to give her the keys back and she would go somewhere else, she had somewhere to be at 10:30 am, and even if she didn't, it doesn't matter we were scheduled at 8 am, unless there was carry over from the previous day, we should have been taken care of right away, she was the 2nd person in the building. The Doug Marshall website even has a section for booking an APPOINTMENT, don't call it an APPOINTMENT if it isn't really an APPOINTMENT!

This leading me to want to buy a new vehicle but will never be doing so from a place like this ...took over a week to even get the information from the work they did and Nikki is very unprofessional ....Leanne likes to play the excuse and blame game and it shows threw these reviews and my expirence the service department is where this dealership lacks.

If I could give this dealership a zero I would. I bought my vehicle here. There service department has bin going down hill for a few years now, with a large turnover rate. But this year takes the cake. I drive 50min to get my vehicle worked on and my last 3 appointments have all bin messed up. The first one they didn't check to see if they had the parts before booking and I drove out in bad weather. Second one was a recall that they took apart a window and had to order parts for so left it like that. Then covid happened and I couldn't go in to get it fixed for months because my kids where home. My last appointment was going to be an all day fix for the window but they gave my loner vehicle away. But wait it gets better. I can pay to rent one at there rate...really!!!! If you want customer service don't bother with them. Its not worth your time.

The staff are just wonderful very knowledgeable, kind and understanding. I had a Fleet Vehicle in at Doug Marshall, they did all the work they thought was required and a few weeks later sent in a request for approval to perform the work. Although the work did not have to be performed at that time, we ended up having to pay the bill since the work had already been completed. When I spoke to the service Manager she did not care one bit and dismissed me.

My truck broke down an hour outside grande prairie , mind you I’m from Edmonton, and had to get it towed into town for repairs and I was recommended to go to this shop, they seemed very friendly to be honest and I had no issues with the service the day I brought it in. I brought it in at around 10, and they told me it was most likely the fuel pump that caused the issue and said it would most likely be done within the day. However, it was Saturday and they closed at 3pm, even though most other shops in town were open, and they were closed sundays, again while most other shops were open. So something they told me would take a few hours at most ended up taking until the following Tuesday, and the day they started work on it I received a text from them saying they changed two parts I didn’t ask them to change and didn’t contact me beforehand to ask if I wanted them changed. At that point they had informed me that it wasn’t the fuel pump and they were still trying to figure out what’s wrong with it. A few days ago I found a fuel pump sitting in the back of my truck bed and was a little confused as to why it was back there as it seemed to be the one that used to be in my truck,, even though they expressly stated multiple times they didn’t change it, so either they did and didn’t say anything or they left their stuff in the back of my truck. Total cost of repairs including labour was 1,017$... 700$ of which was labour, most of this 700$ of labour time was spent changing parts that didn’t need to be changed. Unprofessional conduct from the service team as well as customer service when I tried multiple times to get a straight answer out of them about why it was taking so long for a simple part change. Don’t think I’d ever bring another vehicle here again, and I most certainly wouldn’t recommend it to someone with the same enthusiasm it was recommend to me with.

I had a problem with my truck they threw in the same part that I had changed before and acted like the part I bought was a faulty one so I paid thinking it was fixed till I got home it dyed on me in the driveway. I had called them they said to bring it back on Monday the mechanic that worked on it was starting his holidays on Monday so they didn't know what he checked or didn't check he was supposed to be gone for a couple of weeks and I asked well do I get reimbursed for the part and the labor they said "not the part just the labor if that wasn't the problem" they said "I'd have to pay for the labor and another part" so I decided to take it somewhere else before I got charged two or three times more for the parts before solving the problem. I now see there game of swapping parts till something works so be careful when dealing with them they are part swappers. I'll never go there again I'll go to the other dealership before I will ever go there again heck I'll sell my chevy before I will ever deal with them EVER AGAIN!!

I was beyond impressed with our service at Doug Marshall! We've been in there shopping around a few times and this was our first time buying something and Kyle was amazing to deal with. We called ahead and spoke with Kyle to tell him we wanted to look at a Chevy Trax and when we arrived he had it pulled up and ready for us. We took it for a drive and fell in love, and he showed us a few similar used models as well to keep options open. We went with the Trax in the end and Kyle went above and behind to make sure he could get the car in the correct colour and with the correct modifications I wanted! Within a weekend I had my new car. Bought a new 2500hd and the sales experience was great. Parts and service on the other hand terrible. I couldn't get a double can with a centre console so I get parts to order it. They quoted me 860 for all the parts after they struggled to find the numbers because it doesn't vin to my truck. They said it is not returnable. The part came in in the incorrect trim color and for an suv. They claimed it would fit so I installed it and she ordered the top trim piece because they forgot it... Another $600 dollars that was left out of the quote it was also for an suv. Some of the parts were not even for the correct console or truck. They will not tack it back and refund me to fix their mistake of ordering the wrong parts... I ordered all the parts I need online and for cheaper and it only took me half an hour to do. Called GM customer service to review the issue and they basicly said that it sucks to be me. Was going to spend 10k on a lift rims and tires but now I will be doing it myself even if the warranty is voided.

You call yourselves "Certified Licenced Mechanics"?? I own a 2007 Cadillac STS and although its a few years old, it only has 70,000 km on it. This car ran beautifully with all her bells n whistles working until I had them perform some routine maintenance. I didn't even leave the parking lot and I noticed the "Check Engine" light was on. I informed them but I was turned away until they had time. Since then, I have visited the Service Department over 5 times since early December/16 to have the "check engine" light diagnosed and repaired. I have been charged over $3000.00 and the light comes back within minutes of me leaving. Now, the whole electrical system shuts down. I have since given up on them and have to kiss the $3000.00 goodbye and start again somewhere else. We all know not to send food back at fast food places for fear they will spit in your hamburger....well, that it pretty much what I feel has happened with my car. I STRONGLY suggest to never ever have them even open your hood.

Definitely go see Martin Paradis at Doug Marshall to buy a new or used vehicle here! I was impressed with his honesty, integrity and willingness to listen and look up other options. He understood the logistics of having a large family and helped make it possible for us to afford a vehicle that would fit us. The day we went to pick it up, it wasn’t quite ready, so he offered to drive it out to us, and did so once it was ready, and we live 45 minutes outside of GP! About a week after buying it, there were battery problems and it wouldn’t hold a charge, so I called him up, sent some photos off and he replaced the battery with no issues. He even offered to drive out again to drop it off! Absolutely a pleasure working with him, and I would highly recommend both Martin and Tammy who did the financial paperwork for us. We ended up having 5 kids in her office at one point to sign documents and it didn’t even phase her. Thank-you guys!! I really appreciated you working with us and making this process as seamless as possible.

Every other dealership had tried to upgrade me to a newer or bigger vehicle for more money. Doug R found what I wanted and gave us the best options on buying. Now when looking for another vehicle same thing! Every dealership and sales person gave us the run around and tried to sell us something different. We were very specific on what we wanted and nothing more nothing less. Doug R found us exactly what we want and for a better price! I can not say enough good things! I am mixed, I seem to always have issues with routine maintenance. I was going to Dawson Creek dealership but wasn't happy with the service (not having ordered fuel filters) for my truck when I specified making the appnt that it needed one (or simply not being able to get me in for an oil change for 2+ weeks). While the first time I visited DM, the service representative that I got was very pleasant and accommodating to help out with not having brakes in stock (when I informed while making the appnt that it needed brakes) and managed to borrow parts to get my truck done that day. So I came back again for my last oil change and fuel filter + brake inspection. I made the appointment for 930 or so I thought. I dropped it off on time, (the service advisor I got this time was much less pleasant) so I called at 2pm asking if the truck was done. I was informed my service advisor was busy and would return my call. She did not, so an hour later I got dropped off thinking it for sure should be done by now (thank god I didn't wait around) to be told that it had not even went into the shop yet. I informed her that my appointment was at 930 for her to snap back at me that it was my "drop off time" not my appointment (I wish I had known this). She was less than apologetic and more rude than anything about it. I informed her I needed the truck by 5pm to go back to work and to skip the brake inspection because clearly by now there was not enough time. So I called to get my ride come back and pick me up and waited for the call that came at precisely 4:55pm. All in all, most of what I wanted got done and no harm done but I still feel irritated by the situation. Why are oil changes/ service so far behind and if we aren't going to have a vehicle for the full day why don't they inform us of that when we drop it off? I would much rather keep my truck until closer to the time it goes into the shop seeing as how I am from out of town. I also don't understand when I make an appointment and specify parts needed, why they aren't in stock by the time my appointment comes? (I know it is a Canyon diesel which is still a bit rare, that is why I always specify parts it needs)

The service department is horrible to deal with. I booked my truck in for 8am appointment dropped it off the night before. Explained exactly what needed to be done. I did not receive a phone call all day infact I had to call before closing. Found that they didn't get the truck in till eleven, inspected the truck parked it outside left it unusable as I questioned them I was told I was yelling and she hung up on me. After calling back and talking to another service writer I was told my truck would be ready by eleven the next morning. I called at noon and told I would have my truck back by two. Again had to call at closing time to inquire about my truck. Was able to get the truck once I received the truck the plastic seat cover was left on messy with mud on the seat and cardboard floor matt still inside. You might wonder what I had done that could possibly take two days. I had them do a oil change, replace one brake caliper and replace brake pads.

I highly recommend Doug Marshall GM and sales member Martin Paradis. Martin made us feel like we were family from the time we met. He did not pressure us in any way to purchase a vehicle. He advised of the promotional deals and got us every deal possible to get us into a new vehicle. While we were looking we explained we had a short window to get everything done and on the road. They made this happen. When it came to the test drive, we were offered a range of vehicles to drive from gas to diesel, from high end to low end. Martin was very knowledgeable about all of the vehicles we wanted to test drive. If he didn’t know he found out right away thru other co-workers. After the test drive they provided use with our trade in value and different payment options for both gas and diesel. We had many questions about diesel ownership since we have never owned a diesel and Martin brought in Wayne the sales manager to assist. Wayne was wealth of knowledge and was brutally honest, which helped us to make our decision. Not once did they try and push the more expensive vehicle, but only guided us to what would work best for us. Curtis the finance manager with great to deal with. He made it very easy and comfortable. He quickly got our approval and provided detailed information about warranty and other insurances. The vehicle we ending up choosing still had plastic on the seats and was not detailed. Martin and the detail staff did an awesome job in getting it ready in such short period of time. I would recommend Dough Marshall GM to everyone I know.

Do not take your vehicle here for service! What should of been a simple diagnosis of a bad sensor and fuse for a no-key start, left me with basically no answers for 2 days and I'm still not sure they even looked at the issue itself. Took my truck to No Limit, they hooked up GM TECH TOOL (you know the one they use at a GM dealer LOL), verified new sensor was good and old sensor was bad, cleared the code and I was on my way in less than 30 minutes. One of the service advisors said they believe the engine to be SEIZED! Incompetent would be the best word to describe their mechanical abilities.

Had my truck in for some collision work. I brought it to these people because they are a GM dealership and thought they may do a better job. Wrong. My truck had the box side sprayed, apparently they felt the need to spray the frame silver too, poor prep. While leaving the dealership I heard a loud bang. When they repaired the front fender someone had left a green flathead screwdriver under the hood. It rattled right into the engine bay and damaged the fan. Thanks! Update - John called me to rectify the issue. To be fair, he has been very good to deal with. The paint they actually did was well done.

I bought my truck from Don Hunter, Amazing customer service. That being said, trying to get any warranty work done is BRUTAL!!! The service manager is unhelpful and dealing with the snotty service department staff is a nightmare. As usual, as soon as the sale goes through the customer service goes out the window. I have had to bring a brand new vehicle in a number of times for various issues. It takes the dealership two or three times to get the issues resolved! I have read the 5 star reviews in regards to Don and completely agree, but cannot agree that the service I receive from the service department is anything other than substandard and ridiculously frustrating!!!

Couldn't give 0 Stars. Bought a used truck over 30 grand off Wayne Shur and Dan Trafford. They lied and told me it had 100000km powertrain, it did not. I notified them I found a leak a few weeks later and brought it in and they REFUSED to look at it. I was run around the shop being pawned off and having to re tell my story everytime. Wayne threw a very childlike fit and ran away, well Dan told me to bring it into the bay and never came back (stood in there for 20min until I was told by Service they won't look at it. It's a Ford Powertrain issue). 700 dollar intercooler replaced at Windsor Ford and notified it no longer has warranty... Endless trips there to get tires put on "at cost". Impossible to reach and finally given a horrible price and got better tires for $250 less at Costco. Douche-bags!

Came here to get my tail lights fixed as there was an electrical issue with my Malibu causing the fuse to blow. I asked if it might be the shoddy wiring for the after market radio installed by the previous owner but the lady did not bother with my suggestion, so i leave it over at Doug Marshall and they call claiming they fixed it charging me 80$ to find out later night that my tail lights were still not working. So i come again and the same thing occurs, they charge me 80$ and claim they fixed my tail lights. I check my car later that night and my tail lights still did not work and now one of the brake lights are out as well. Now its the third time i'm coming to them and i tell them about the problem and they obviously are not even attempting to look at the problem. I go back to school and later have a friend come to help me check it out before i pay the 80$ and again what would you know, it still doesn't work. I go to the desk and the lady comes out with me and one of the mechanics to check it out and suggested i leave it over night while they finally check the wiring issues. I leave it over night and they charge me around 250$ while still not finding the issue. After spending over 400$ for nothing and being a bit frustrated i take my car back and got a friend to check it out, turns out the wiring harness for the radio was a bit shot and he fixed it up in 10 mins. I'm very disappointed at how i was lied to and treated and having my suggestions ignored. 400$ that could have been better spent some where else.

Best experience buying a vehicle! I had already done quite about of research as to what kind of truck would be best fit for me and my family safety rating, towing capacity and cab space ect. I was getting really sick of shopping around town dealing with greasy salesmen trying to sell me things I did not want, pressuring me to sign things and were condescending to me and trying to make it seem like a deal they were giving by just extending the term of financing. Worst service i have ever had!!!! The service department was absolutely HORRENDOUS! We took one of the trucks in our business's fleet in to be serviced for a recall part that we had gotten a notice about. They called and said our part was in and we could bring the truck in. Our safety manager who deals with our company's fleet maintenance spoke to two people prior to bringing the truck in and told them it was coming in for the recall part ONLY. We sent our driver to drop it off and he asked for an oil change to be added to the work list and asked to get a quote only (not to complete the repair) for another part needed. The technicians took it upon themselves to run diagnostics on the truck for multiple things that we had NEVER asked for. We then told the service department this had never been authorized and they told us that diagnostics are run (without owners consent) whenever they see a warning light on. Sara in the service department had a supreme attitude and was condescending, rude and blamed this on us. When we went in to deal with the manager they gave a minor discount, still charged us almost $200 when we went in for a free recall part from the manufacturer and a quick oil change. We explained how unhappy we were with sara's attitude and she said that we had the attitude and "that's how you get treated when you give attitude to our department" MOST APPALLING SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED!!

My boyfriend brought his truck in, with only 28000 kilometers on it, because it was coding up every single system simultaneously. Truck was in the shop for nearly a month, they said they didn't find anything wrong and that the truck was no longer having that issue and was good to go. Roughly 1200$ of labor that should've been covered by warranty that they refused to charge to and it's STILL having this issue. During the time it was in the shop the dealership did absolutely nothing for him, not even offering a courtesy vehicle to get around town in. Between the lack of assistance, inability to find and solve the problem, and asinine reasoning behind charging the "service" back to him and not to warranty, we will NEVER go back there or buy any vehicle from them ever. No chance. Not happening. Went to SARGENT TOYOTA and immidiately was helped out in every way possible, needless to say he is now buying a Toyota and spreading the word to everyone about the absolute b.s he was out through. I highly recommend Kyle at Doug Marshall. I am from Whitehorse and was interested in the Cadillac XT4 Sport model. I started emailing with Kyle about trading in my car for the 2019 Caddy. Kyle was quick to respond and super helpful. They gave me a fair trade in price for my car. I told Kyle I was coming to town to check out the Caddy that I was interested in on their website. Kyle was very friendly, easygoing and professional. He will go out of his way to make sure you are one satisfied customer. He was very knowledgeable about the specs of the vehicle and not a pushy sales person which is a huge bonus. After taking the car for a test drive I was immediately in love and had to have it. The next day I signed the papers and the Caddy was mine????Problem was I left my car back in Whitehorse. I had already driven 15 hours with my friend and was not enthused about driving back again in two weeks to pick up the caddy. Kyle was kind enough to meet me in Fort Nelson to do the trade so that I wouldn’t have to drive too far again. He made the process smooth and effortless. We were passing through Northern BC on a weekend trip when our truck began acting up. We called 4 different dealerships in the north and none would fit us in or had a mechanic working on a Saturday, This dealership not only fit us in at 1:30 when they closed at 3:00 on a Saturday, but they prioritized us as we were stranded. The fix was done in an hour and at a great price. Definitely one of the best customer service experiences I’ve ever had.

Parts customer service was nothing but oblivious to how to do their job. Ignorant to me as a customer asking for help find a part, and simply just rude to anyone that would walk in to purchase from them. I do not recommend these people. I will take my service to a better organized place to purchase from.

I had the dreadful job of buying a new truck... to my surprise this time was a completely different experience. Sales was very helpful and not pushy at all! Doug Robinson was very professional and never once did I feel pressured. Financing was a pleasure to deal with as well, it really was a positive experience. Terrible customer service!!! Bought a 2018 equinox and the check engine light came on 2 weeks later. Booked it in for an appointment on Friday February 22. Got a call on Thursday February 21 at 5:30PM saying they don’t have any technitions in on Friday so they had to move my appointment to Wednesday February 27th. Tuesday February 26th they called again cancelling my appointment because they don’t have enough technicians. They left a message saying it was moved to Friday March 1st. I called early on Wednesday February 27th and spoke to the service department, they said they could have it in and have me in a warranty rental that day. I took it in and they said they would shuttle me home and give me an update on the rental. Later that day they said they couldn’t get it in to be diagnosed so the rental wouldn’t be covered under warranty that day but they would have it figured out for Thursday February 28th. I speak to them again Thursday February 28th and they say they still have not got it in to be diagnosed but should have an update later that afternoon. I never heard back from them. I asked for an update Friday March 1 and they are now saying they cannot get it in to be diagnosed until Monday March 4th and I cannot have a warranty rental because I am under the age of 25. The service department has continually made empty promises and cannot give a straight answer on anything. The customer service is extremely poor and I would not recommend purchasing a vehicle from them as this is supposed to be covered under warranty and it has just been headache after headache from them!

Went into the service centre first to get the car repaired. The service desk got me in the same day as I was stranded which was awesome. High five to Tony for being accommodating. They did their best to fix the vehicle but to waiting on parts for 10 days I was unable to wait as hotel bills get expensive. I dealt with Don the fleet manager who was nothing but understanding and tried his best to get me back on the road so I could head home. I was able to get a new vehicle and out within a day and a half of getting the vehicle. Done went out of his way to ensure I could leave and get home safely. I appreciate all the help Tony, Don, and the team did to try and get me back on the road. I would recommend dealing with the dealership anytime. No hassles in sales, very honest, straight forward, and kept things straight without trying to sell into something lore expensive than needed. Top notch dealership.

I just decided to leave a review... the work ive had done happened over a year ago. my wife and I both bought our vehicles at doug marshall and although the sales department was great to deal with the back end more than makes up for the 1 star. my wife got backed into in a parking lot. it took 2 weeks to get the parts and paint the back end. when we picked up the car we noticed several scratches and a dent on the passenger side. we brought it to the attention of the service lady and she took pictures of it. after fighting with all of the managers there we were told that there was no way they did the damage. on my truck... they replaced and painted the side of the box. the paint lasted about a year and now its pealing on the side which was repaired, since the incident with my wifes car we haven't been back and have been much happier with the service at ken sargent.

I just wanted to share my experience with purchasing a new vehicle at Grande Prairie Wheaton and having Doug Robinson help me with the process. I have now bought two trucks from them and couldn't be happier with how I was helped and treated by Doug, he is actually the very reason that I returned to purchase the second truck. I live just over six hours away from GP and have dozens of dealers in between but still chose to return just to be able to have Doug help me.
