Recently purchased a 2021 Atlas Cross Sport! Absolute beauty of a vehicle! The grande prarie VW was a pleasure to deal with. I was purchasing as my hubby was working and They accommodated my busy schedule quite well. They had no issues with me comming and going as I was talking to my hubby about the vehicle, they weren't pushy with me at all. Each time I walked in the door I was greated very well. I had the pleasure to work with Deniz in sales, Raymond, Micheal in finace & Franklin for a short period as well. They were all very knowledgeable & helpful! They made purchasing the vehicle a breeze. Deniz was great from the beginning and he also took time out of his day to follow up after purchase! Raymond & Micheal for finace were also just as great to deal with as well. They deffinatly make you feel welcome. 10/10 recommended grande prarie VW! Look for Deniz when your looking to purchase! You won't regret it! Even a week and a half later Deniz is still answering questions for me about all the bells and whistles on the vehicle if I have them! P.s. get a VW atlas! You won't regret it! Ill forever be in the VW family now :)

Went in knowing exactly what we wanted, and they came through for us. Sales staff was very helpful showing us how to use all the features of our new Atlas. Brad in the service department was also very helpful, though due to a communication breakdown somewhere, not all the parts we ordered were actually in yet when we made the 12 hour round trip to get everything finished up. The new location is very beautiful and clean.

Bought a used traded in cobalt ss with "unknown" problems, service refused to fix it two days after purchasing the vehicle. Threatened the dealership and they were so useless they had to send it to gm to get the cat replaced. (Car is a chev) well gm is just as horrid and they broke my aftermarket intake. They then refused to work on the car further and would not buy the car back. If you want to buy a volkswagon go to edmonton, never buy from there goons.

In 62 years it was by far the worst experience I have ever had with a service department. The sales people may be OK. soon or later you need service. If there were negative stars I give them 6. The reply to this post by Grand Prairie VW is beyond my comprehension. My wife and I had numerous and lengthy conversations with the service manager, who made no apologies for the rude and un-cooperative behavior of her female service advisor. The manner and time frame in which problems were diagnosed, work was approved, and performed on our Jetta quickly headed in a direction that exceeded the vehicle’s value. Any service department with common sense and good business practice would have advised on this potential. Not only was this not relayed to the owners, they took advantage of a young man who merely delivered the vehicle, who was not related to the owners or responsible for the bill. The refusal of the female service advisor, who was advised by myself early on to consult the owners, myself and/or my wife, who were responsible for, and ultimately paid the bill under protest resulted in this predicament. The result to this unpleasant experience was an unreasonable bill for a vehicle that is not road worthy. I would invite the service manager to contact me any time in an attempt to make this right. I intend to follow this post and advise on the result.

We bought a 2021 Atlas in September and absolutely love our vehicle! Big shout out first and foremost to our sales person Ahmed, he was an absolute pleasure to deal with. We had a few hiccups with paperwork and he was always available via phone or text to assist us every step of the way even when it wasn’t his responsibility. We would recommend him in a heart beat to anyone looking for a vehicle and a truly honest, no pressure sales person. I’d also like to give a shout out to the GM Darcy for assisting us with the hiccups I mentioned above and ensuring our entire experience was a positive one. I honestly wish I had at least one good thing to say about this dealership but I don’t. My fiancé was very clear on what I was willing to pay for a new vehicle, and for some reason the sales manager didn’t seem to understand that.... I ended up paying way more for the vehicle than I wanted to. The sales manager is also the most unprofessional person I have ever met, some of the first words out of his mouth were asking my fiancé a VERY personal question and when I confronted him about it he said he was just “making conversation”. All the extended warranty I purchased with my vehicle is a joke, if you read the fine print it hardly covers anything. I emailed the finance manager to cancel it and haven’t heard anything... I haven’t even had my vehicle for a week and both key fobs are dead and when I brought that up to the parts lady she was very unprofessional with how she handled the situation. I also brought up some issues about my vehicle that I’ve came across to the sales manager and he explained some of them to me, because the sales person never did when I bought the vehicle... but then some of the other issues he just over looked and didn’t say anything further about them. I’m not looking forward to coming to the dealership for anything in the future.

I sent my vehicle in for an issue 3 months ago . I still have not got it back . They said the transmission needs to be replaced to fix the issue . So I told them to replace it . A month goes by didn’t hear a thing from them . I call them unsuccessfully 3 times ( kept saying they would call me back ) . Finally get to talk to someone and find out it was an electrical issue not a transmission issue !!! So here I am 3 months no vehicle and a 10 thousand dollar bill for something that didn’t even need to be replaced !!! I

I will not be dealing with this dealership again. I bought a VW Tiquan from them 2 years ago. The vehicle itself is great. No complaints. The issue is that I keep getting calls from them every 3-4 months either trying to solicit maintenance or sell me a new vehicle. I have asked repeatedly for them to take me off of their call list to no avail. The last salesperson was downright rude. I"M DONE WITH THEM. Unless you want to be harassed by them for the rest of your life, buy from someone else.

A constant assault on my senses cannot be mediated no matter how helpful the staff can be. The new location is very bright and the music is loud and constant the building has been designed to be bright and loud and my time here results in a headache. between the acoustics of echoing music on my left and the chatter of sales man bouncing around on my right. I would not recommend this building to people with sensitive sensory issues.

This dealership after it changed hands can be a hit and miss when it comes to customer relations. My folks recently dealt with them intended to purchase a VW Touareg. The Sales contract wasn't even finalized and they started putting accessories my folks desired on the vehicle. Then when it came to the Sales contract several add on costs were revealed. This is negotiating in bad faith they didn't give the final costs on the purchase when the offer to purchase was made. My folks gave them a deposit based on the price quoted which wasn't the final price. My folks changed their mind and then the high pressure sales tactics started. They didn't want to refund the deposit when they didn't fulfill the terms of the intent to purchase. I gave my folks the phone # to the customer relations department at VW Canada and they received a call from the dealership saying they will refund the deposit. My folks even said to them you are willing to loose an existing customer over this? As they own a VW Tiguan. Their response was you never were a customer. Their attitude and approach to client care is so flawed.

Not a second felt forced or rushed, got the car i wanted and couldnt phathom the process going smoother. Couldnt recommend this guys more, not to mention the service team. The vehicles are beyond amazing as well. While the passat got detailed they loaned me an atlas, and its the nicest smoothest unit ive ever driven. What we initially thought would have been a wonderful experience turned completely upside down in reality. We drove all the way from Calgary to find out that we had been presented with a very misleading video of the vehicle we were interested in. Paige provided us with a video that avoided showing the actual condition of the used car (dings, poor paint work, major scratches, broken fan inside, etc.) Turns out, she overpromised big time even though she knew we had to make a trip of 8 hrs one way to see the car. What is more, upon arrival she was “too busy” to greet us and work with us, and rushed us to another sales person. The only positive shoutout goes to Adam who had to clean up her mess. He really tried hard to fix the whole thing and make us feel valued and appreciated. He and his manager apologized sincerely and offered multiple solutions to make the best out of the negative experience. They even offered to compensate us for the gas bill for our trip back.

I’ve never been so disappointed in a car brand before. I took my car into the dealership since my engine light came on and asked if potentially I had received bad fuel as the light came on 100km after last filling up. After 11 days I was informed by Shea that under their assumption (not tests) I had put diesel in my gas car and this would not be covered by warranty. It seems I never have put the thought in their mind about my fuel as it soon became my biggest hurdle. I asked if they tested my fuel to make sure it’s actually diesel since Shell premium is yellow like diesel and Shea (service manager) informed me she didn’t know how to get fuel tested. I immediately lost all respect for the dealership and pursued a 2nd opinion as my fuel receipts stated premium fuel and the gas station assured me with paperwork that they did not have contaminated fuel. As suggested by Southgate VW in Edmonton I needed to go to another place that works on both gas and diesel engines since there are no other VW dealerships in the area and my car was not driveable to take it to Edmonton. After getting a 2nd opinion with a proper fuel test, it was determined that I did not have contaminated fuel and that the injector failure issue was due to something else wrong in the car. I went back to GP VW with my results in which they would not accept. They decided to send in a fuel sample of their own labelled “tiguan“ that was supposedly mine that they had kept for testing (after I showed them where to get fuel tested). It came back as very contaminated fuel which didn’t surprise me as they could have sent in any fuel sample they wanted to avoid being wrong. Now my car is still not fixed 3 months later since they flagged it under warranty as a fuel issue and no other VW dealership can look at it and give another opinion. I’m now stuck with a deceitful dealership charging me for work that should be covered under warranty. Vw Canada is also not willing to investigate because GP Vw technicians are ‘experts’ and what they say goes. I’ve owned a VW for 12 years and will be selling this one and never buying another one again as well as advising all friends not to bother as the service from Vw Canada is pitiful. After all the emission lies you would think they would try and keep the faithful customers they had left.

My mom and I have always believed the ability to drive standard to be an invaluable skill. However, I learned to drive on an automatic. It came time for my first car, and after brief research we decided a Jetta would be the way to go. We then chose standard, for it is slightly less expensive, and the fuel economy is better. We live in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, and do not have a Volkswagen dealership. The nearest one was Grande Prairie. Over the course of a month, through minimal emails and phone calls, we worked together and the process of picking the colour to purchasing was smooth. Upon arriving in town to pick up the vehicle, while mom signed the papers, Robin walked me through the safety features and navigation of my car. He then offered to teach me standard with his day off. We spent 3-4 hours together on a rainy Sunday driving around Grande Prairie-- one hour of which was repeatedly going up and down the same hill. He is a phenomenal teacher, at the end of my first day I feel more comfortable driving than I thought I would. I would absolutely recommend this dealership. From the purchasing the car to driving it off of the lot (and beyond), my mom and I were taken care of.

Once again this dealership service department has let me down. I was denied my remaining oil changes from the vip oil change program because according to them and written nowhere the program follows your vin number.... Since when would an oil change program follow a VIN number?? So anyone who might possibly trade in your vehicle in the next two years, I strongly recommend not purchasing the program. Identical but newer vehicle null and voids a VIP oil program. Secondly, we were (for the first time ever) provided a loaner vehicle that was not cleaned out. It has food on the floor, whoever had it lasts drink bottles and such in it, it did have 55cents as well. The mud inside and out, the dead bugs on the outside from the last trip it was on...ok you had no time... But the food?? They didn't even check the vehicle.... Did they?? I haven't even picked up our car yet, I traded in my original because it would not stop leaking and assured I would not have this problem with the new one. Liars, that would be Abbotsford VW lying about the leaks. I've had this car for only a few months and this one had so much water on the floor (approx 2") that above the water line the carpet is molding. We shall see if they (Grande Prairie) remove and replace the underlay and the carpet. I would hope that they would not put my health at risk since my husband made it clear about the mold and new carpet and underlay.

I was really impressed from the first moment working with Paige right to delivery. When i got to my appointment they fixed up my problems, checked and refilled my tires and reset the alerts on the dash without my asking. They always do it every time.

Service Dept did a "safety inspection" while the car was in for a computer scan and recommended 3200 worth of repairs that needed to be done immediately. Their report/estimate listed metal on metal brake pads, loose sway bar links, loose LCA bushings. The reality of the car is it had a 4 wheel alignment 2 weeks prior which was tight and didn't need any adjustment, the sway bar links were replaced 2 months ago and the thinnest pad on the car was 5mm. They wrote 'Customer understands car is not safe' on the invoice as they made me sign it to try and get me to authorize the work. This is a very greasy tactic that someone might easily fall for. I checked out all of these claims the next day to verify/dismiss their findings. To top it off the key remote was not functional when I picked the car up and they could not explain why.

Service feedback based on FACTS (0/5 starts) Background: Called GP VW a couple of times inquiring about the process for corrosion claims. On both occasions, I was told that I needed to make an appointment and that the individual responsible for that job would explain the process during my visit. I live 230km away from GP. So, I needed to carefully plan my trip to GP VW, obtain as many details prior to my appointment to evaluate the situation, and avoid surprises. This also required that I took a day off work plus all expenses associated with such trip. May 28: Kailey assisted me with the corrosion claim by taking pictures of my car and vaguely explaining the process since the individual responsible for that job wasn’t in that day (SURPRISE #1) June 3: Completed a Customer Dissatisfaction survey sent by VW. Shortly after the survey the GP VW Parts/Service Manager, Shea, emailed me apologizing for my experience and stated that my claim could take up to 4 weeks. July 2: Called GP VW for update and spoke to Brad, new Parts/Service Manager, whom said he would call me back later since he needed to look into my claim. No call back by end of day July 4: Called GP VW again, and when asked for Brad, I was told he was occupied but that I could leave a message for him and that Brad would return my call. No call back by end of day July 5: Called GP VW again and spoke to Brad whom said that he was having a hard time locating my claim and questioned whether it was in fact submitted. However, Brad said he would do some more digging and get back to me by end of day. No call back by end of day July 6: Called VW directly to inquire about my claim. VW said they had no records of a corrosion claim ever been submitted July 12: Called GP VW and requested to speak to manager overseeing the entire operation. Darcy came to the phone, to whom I explained the reason for my initial visit and frustration with Brad due to his lack of commitment in following up. Darcy then immediately said something like “If you are not hearing anything from Brad then that means your claim wasn’t approved.” I was SHOCKED by Darcy’s assumption. Then, I further explained to Darcy what VW had said and Brad’s preliminary thoughts. I relayed to Darcy that I needed a definitive answer from GP VW/Brad and that I wasn’t interested in any assumptions. Darcy then offered to speak to Brad and follow up with me. Darcy got back to me swiftly and said that I would most likely need to come in again since it appeared like 1) the pictures taken of my car were nowhere to be found on their computer and 2) that no claim was ever submitted (SURPRISE #2). Lastly, Darcy said Brad would call me back later during the day to discuss the situation in detail. Brad did not call back by end of day Do you like SURPRISES? Because that is all I got from GP VW. Very poor customer service!!! No one ever calls you back after numerous calls to them and promises of phone calls back. Service department never fixed what the car was booked in for. Employees don't seem to care that I have a 2 1/2 hr drive to and from there establishment and do not try to make it any more convenient for you. Not one Employee there took ownership of the problem and tried to deal with it. I kept getting told "I was not here when they did that" or "I cant help you with that" Very frustrating to deal with. I will never buy another Volkswagen again just due to the fact that there is now where to get it serviced but at GP Volkswagen in my area and it is not worth the hassle of dealing with them.

Went down to dealership for my wife to test drive a Tiguan, as she wanted something smaller than our Venza. Brad from sales came out to the lot as we were looking at the Tigs, and was very helpful. He took a couple hours to get to know us, determine what we wanted, and then took us for test drive. Very personable and knowledgeable, and most appreciated, not the typical high pressure sales routine. Would not hesitate to recommend talking to Brad if you are looking at a VW.
