I believe this is the most honest dealership in the city and recommend them to anyone looking for a dealership with integrity.

I was able to buy a beautiful Pilot Ex with the help of Sydney. She was very knowledgeable on the product and she did a great job highlightings the different options of the vehicule. If there is one thing that I would have like to be better in the process of buying this SUV, it would have been that the dealership did not tried to force different add-ons and fees over the MSRP.

We’ve been driving Honda vehicles for 10 years now and have leased three through GP Honda. I’ve always been happy with their service dept. they are honest and accommodating. I don’t really care for their new vehicle sales process as the salespeople have little say in their own deals and the sales manager does all of the haggling (I hate haggling but I tolerate it). The service department is what keeps me going back.

The buying experience was value based, pleasurable & expedient. Parker was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and the opposite of pushy. I would buy there again guaranteed. I was also told that after I made the purchase, I would get a discount on parts, etc, and when I went in to the parts department a few days later, they, without "knowing" I had just made a significant purchase, were absolutely excellent to deal with, and honoured the before promised discount without any hassle. One of the best retail experiences I have had in years.

Bought a 2016 Honda Civic with the money I had saved up ever since I was 10 years old.(I recently turned 18 and this was the first major purchase I had ever made.) Seemed like a great dealership wasn’t worried about any problems and felt like I could trust the place. Later found out about an oil dilution problem common in the same engine as my civic. I was not notified of this very serious issue and when I tried taking the car back only a week later after finding out about this problem, they offered me 70 percent of what I paid a week ago for it. Almost 50 percent of what the car was originally listed for. Hansen ford offered me another 2 grand more Than Honda and you would think they would be able to work something out considering they where the ones who sold me the car in the first place but I guess not. I really regret going to Honda at all. This has caused me nothing but stress for the last 4 months. And will likely cost me a good portion of my life savings considering that the oil wreaks of gasoline. I actually was told at my last oil change that the dealership would send away my oil to be tested but I have not heard from them in a month and I am almost certain they just threw away the oil. Just a precautionary tale to anyone considering buying from this dealership. My mother has had a wonderful experience over at Sean Sargent Toyota and I myself wish I would have purchased an already more reliable Toyota from a more reliable dealership. The actual salesperson I bought the car from, Bernardo, was a pleasant guy nothing against him. I do believe that he tried his best to work something out for me, But the dealership obviously really only cares about one thing and that’s money, not their customers.

I've never had problems with the service, or the time-frame for completion. I always have a morning appointment and drop it off early, then work for the day. It's always ready to go before my day is complete. This time, however, I do have a concern, which I was not able to address, as I attempted to contact the service department back and did not get an answer. When I left a message with reception to ask them to call me back, they never did. Prior to the appointment, I noticed I needed a replacement block heater cord and went in to purchase one. When I purchased it, I was told the install, if I wanted them to perform it, would be ~$40-45. I declined at the time, knowing that if I could not do it on my own (I opted not to), I could ask them to do it while the mechanics were performing the oil change and service of the vehicle. I understand that the price stated was not a formal quote, but was the rate I used to judge whether I wanted to have the Honda service department perform the service. They had no problems doing so, and it was done during the service. When I received my bill, I admit to not looking too closely at the bill while on-site. However, after leaving, I did look at it, and noticed that I was billed $87 for a "block heater install", with a specific note that customer is to provide the part. I only provided the cord. This is about double what I was expecting, and I have not been able to discuss the matter with the Honda services department yet to explain why the bill for this particular service was so high.

I purchased my 2015 Honda CRV in 2015, mainly based on the previous owner's reliability and customer service. I was worried when the dealership changed hands, but I am equally as pleased with the new owners. Booking in for service is always quick and timely, my vehicle is usually ready before the time quoted, I am charged fairly for service, and the only service I have required is regular maintenance and a new battery which was free because my original was a dud! The staff are always friendly, whether service, parts or sales. I highly recommend Grande Prairie Honda. :)

I recently had an amazing experience working with Meika at GP Honda. Even though I was looking at a <$10k city commuter, I'd rate the experience as if I was shopping for a supercar. As I sat in Calgary, she was able to provide me with carproof, inspection report, recent maintenance and even a special ECU test upon request. She even offered to pick me up from the airport. All of this was done promptly and diligently. I can't say enough good things about Meika's customer service and I don't think level of service can be matched.

Bought two saddle bags and a motorcycle end of March and have to be on top of them with calling me back when they say they will and then having the audacity to make it seem like I’m unreasonable to check in where my $800+ saddle bags are. Apparently it’s too difficult to send an email or text these days, right. Zero accountability with Dwayne and Joey. Oh, and Joey before you start spinning it around I’m gonna tell everyone how it really is. It’s astonishing how you’ve managed to become a manager because you’re incredibly useless and a extremely pathetic excuse of a sales “professional”. You can’t cut it as anything remotely reliable and you shouldn’t even keep trying since you’re clearly horrible at it. I know you probably won’t be able to read this since you have trouble understanding how to communicate, but hopefully someone will read this and help explain to you how utterly incompetent you truly are. Being a former employee of Grande Prairie Honda I find it beyond difficult to believe the poor review given on Bernardo. He doesn't work in the used lot and has been absolutely professional in every client interaction I've ever witnessed. he is typically filled with knowledge and enthusiasm, He and George(power sports sales person) would be the sole salesmen I would personally refer at that dealership. I would assume Bernardo likely followed up with this couple because he always shows due diligence in rectifying negative opinions, and goes above and beyond to do what he needs to, to ensure everyone leaves Honda happy and satisfied. Which likely was assumed by the client that he was the person they had initially spoken with. Reviews and opinions are very critical to car sales and I would hate for anyone to judge his performance on a review that is likely a misunderstanding.

I wish I could rate 5 stars. You can’t actually talk to a technician if you want to ask anything about your car/ service. The front desk persons have to act as a liaison between the technicians and yourself. This results in relaying faulty or misunderstood information. Especially since the front desk themselves are not technicians by any means. They provide good customer service, although it was clear to me that they did not really understand what the technicians have told them about my vehicle. I was sent an estimate for basically “other stuff that could be fixed” that was literally almost the price of my vehicle itself. I am not sure if the servicing was actually done, as I had a coolant drain and fill and when I checked the level a week later, it was the same level as when I had brought it in. Granted, this could have been a leak, however it should have been caught and I should have been informed of it. I received a text a few days ago asking me about my vehicle servicing (a very nice touch that I must admit I really appreciated), but when I replied with my concerns, I got no answer.

Initial sales experience was OK, but things have ranged from mediocre to poor with the post-sales experience in the year and a half since taking possession of my Ridgeline. Initial quality on the truck was sub-par for what I've come to expect from Honda over the years. All the issues were dealt with, but contacting the service department is an unnecessarily difficult process. It was somewhat understandable during the early days of the COVID pandemic with almost everyone sending staff home, but we are well past that point now and it is still rare to have a call answered by a service advisor, and when it is, it's usually after a long-ish hold time. The advisors are friendly enough and more than happy to answer questions when you can actually get through to them, but that's the problem - you usually don't get through. Recently it's been less frustrating to simply stop in in-person rather than play telephone-tag, but that's not to say it's convenient. Most recent service involved a recall for a fuel pump replacement. The replacement required removing the back seat to access the pump, and subsequently left the passenger compartment reeking of fuel. It is what it is, but this wasn't even mentioned or explained at pick up time, and my call was not returned regarding my concerns of what the source of the smell was or that it didn't seem to be dissipating very quickly.

Our Pilot got a flat tire this week (at -40C temperatures plus windchill), and when we went to change to the spare, we discovered our lock nut was missing. GP Honda sent their Service person with a spare set that allowed us to make the change, without the 18 hr. wait the tow truck would have been in that weather. We were impressed with the service when we purchased the vehicle, but this was definitely above and beyond.

Called and made appt. showed up on time, had a concern with brakes, so with our permission the wheels were removed. Upon inspection it was determined that there was a lot of life left on pads, both front and back. The service dept called and confirmed with us before any work was initiated. A service was also completed at that time. All service was completed in a short time and called us so we could pick up our car.. All went well. No issues with dealership service department..

Update: I wanted to leave a separate review but was unable so I'm modifying my original. Hopefully that doesn't mess with the algorithm. My husband and I managed to lose the key for our tire locks and Candy, Linda, and Noelle were so quick to order replacements and squeeze us in to bust off the old ones. Noelle went above and beyond doing the lock replacement herself and didn't even miss a beat telling me her work was on the house. Really grateful for the service team at GP Honda. Will always recommend. Went in just to see what was available in our price range. Abe Giesbrecht aka "Honest Abe" approached us and happily answered all of our questions. He found us a vehicle that met all of our needs (and then some.) We we're approved and out the door with our beautiful new Cr-v touring edition within 3 hours. Becky Mann in the finance office went above and beyond to get us the best bang for our buck and the manager, Luke, was also very amiable. Both my husband and I are thrilled. I was charged $145 .00 to check the front radar aiming. It checked out within tolerances. I am sure it didn't take an hour, but I was warned my fault , lesson learned. After I got the car I had to go to a car wash to clean the rims after the car was inside for a while. Maybe part of that unused hour I was charged could have been used for a quick carwash. I needed an emergency tire replacement at a Hundai dealer in Edmonton and the car was washed when they were done. I guess that's what competition does

I have called the power sports service department numerous times to book appointments for various toys I have, each time leaving a message & never receiving a call back. This last time I called for 1.5 hours straight, holding for long periods of time, somebody grabbing the line and hanging up immediately & leaving messages to be called back, urgent. Finally somebody in a different department picked up the line to tell me that they have all gone for the weekend now & I couldn't book an appointment. not 1 of my messages had been returned since September 7th. Wont be calling them ever again, I'll make the hour drive to another town before I try them again. Very dissatisfied

Will never go back, received terrible costumer service from management after purchasing a vehicle. I was promised certain things with my car, to later find out after purchasing were not included, such as a year subscription of satellite radio. Management said they would reimburse me after I paid for the year, which never happened after me forwarding receipts, and multiple phone calls- none of which were returned. Financing also assured me one day that my interest rate would be low, for me to drive 2 hours the following day to find out that it was no where near what they told me it was going to be, but of course they waited for me to make the drive to find that out, rather then email or call me before making that drive. Over all, very unimpressed with my experience here, and will certainly never purchase another vehicle from this dealership.

These guys are fantastic -- I've been going to them for years! Most recently, I had to bring my CRV in for a factory re-call on an airbag. They had it fixed with within an hour, and they CLEANED MY CAR while they were in there! They vacuumed, dusted, etc. and rinsed off the outside. Pretty amazing when I didnt pay for the service they provided that day. Way to go, Honda team!!

Went and spent 6800.00 dollars on a limitless sled deck. Put it on a brand new truck. Deck was mounted incorrect and nothing ever put on it. Slid forward and smashed into the cab of the truck. Brought back to dealer was accused of using the deck. And that there tech that installed it never had a issue before. Best part. Called in to let them know I would be running late to the appointment for them to fix the deck slide issue. And was told they knew nothing about it. So I got a sweet 6800 dollar sled deck that rattles and bangs and hit a brand new pick up since people don't understand you can't have all 4 tie downs facing forward. Almost like you have to have it secured from moving forward and backwards....

Edit: Unfortunately, I must lower my rating again. The sales side was excellent, but I am severely disappointed in the service side and will be taking my business elsewhere for any future repairs or other service. My estimate for services here was 3000$ higher than at two other locations (at the other locations? I needed under 100$ worth of work/parts), and I was lied to as well about the contents of my vehicle. I cannot trust them not to rip me off, and I caution others to obtain another estimate before paying any fees they feel are exorbitant, should they choose to go through GP Honda. I also wish to note that I have twice told them to remove me from their records for servicing, and I have just now recieved yet another message about service being due. The service side either has incredibly poor communication, or really needs to update the system they use to track their customers. The service I've experienced here so far has been great. I never felt pressured into looking at a vehicle I didn't want, and was very appreciative of the fact that when a car I was looking at turned out to be a lemon, they refused to sell it to me. That says so much to me about the integrity of the staff. I would especially recommend working with Sydney - she knows her stuff, and if there's something she somehow doesn't know, she'll go the extra mile to locate that info. Thank you for all your help!

When my 2012 Honda Pilot has a problem I bring it to Grande Prairie Honda each time. But for the last two times I have been disappointed. First I brought my car in for brake rotors and pads replacement but after the repair I found a scraping or rattling noise coming from under the dashboard. I brought the car back but they couldn't find the problem, instead they made some vague suggestions. The second time, I brought my car in for engine emission check light on but I already run the scanning and found it was a P3400 code. They fixed the problem but then my remote starter stopped working. They didn't know how to fix it and sent me to a remote start specialist where I paid from my pocket. I expected at least that they told me after the emission check problem I will need to reprogram my remote start but no, they didn't know that either. Really disappointed. G. B.

Got the back tire changed on my Goldwing, the mechanic was sick (which iI completely understand) so the first day so my bike spent the night. Got the call the next day that my bike was ready around noon. Quite happy with the speedy service and people there. Well I would not even rate one star, but I could not find a way to leave a review otherwise. I have a recall on my airbag on my honda car. I tried to get it in 2 weeks ago when I had to make a trip to gp anyways (I live 2 and a half hours away) , but they said they would have to order parts. If a dealership knows there is a recall of something that serious, I would think that they should have that part in stock especially when they are the only dealer around in northern Alberta. Ok, fine. I made an appointment for today and it was at 11 am. I had to get held back half an hour on the highway due to a huge house being moved down the road. Yet, I still made it on time. (I walked in the door at 10:55 am). I checked in and was told that the service department was running behind and that they might get to it this afternoon. I said I need to know if it can get done or not today because I don't live here. I was told they will get it in this afternoon. It is now 1:30 pm and my car is getting worked on. I can find a better way to waste my time and money for sure. If I can make my appointment on time, so should thos dealership. I am not impressed at all and will never come back here again. I will also tell all I know of my experience. Also, a couple of years ago I brought my boat here to get diagnosed and repaired. They spent two weeks on it and finally found the problem. In the mean time, they replaced my motor trim assembly which cost me thousands of dollars. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the system that was in the boat either. They did not contact me when they did this either. The boat would not run properly, and the trim on ANY boat would have nothing to do with how the motor runs. I will drive the extra 2 hours to go to Edmonton in the future from my home to get any work done. They will never get my business again.

I purchased my vehicle almost a year ago. The whole sale was kind of a joke. They hadn’t even inspected or detailed or test drove the vehicle before selling it to me(It was used from BC). It came from out of province. I went to go register it after signing and get told at the dmv that the out of province inspection hadn’t been done. The management team I dealt with during my sales as well as my sales person no longer work there and there was supposed to be free oil changes and a block heater installed. Neither could be found in my paper work. Even though I physically saw the lady write it down on my paper work for the oil changes. So I went into Honda personally, about a month ago, (back story I was very ill with Crohn's Disease and was off from work for about 3 months) so when I was feeling better I went in with my issues and the owner was polite and spoke to me, got my car detailed and put oil changes on file. However. My biggest issues were my tires. I haven’t had the car for a year and there is a giant bald spot on my one tire and I’ve been having issues with the tire sensors and air in my tires. So I sent a picture to Milan a month ago they told me to expect to hear from someone come Monday/Tuesday as the lady for ext warranty was on vacation. It’s now been over a month and I’ve left 3 voice mails and two messages for Milan over the past month and I haven’t herd anything at all. Feels like they’re waiting for my year to come up to tell me they won’t cover it. Overall totally disappointing wishing I went else where at this point.

Called for 4 days trying to get ahold of parts. My name and number were taken down for them to call me back. Everyday they took my name and number and couldnt get back to me day after day forgetting that I called. The excuse was understaffed as a result of the pandemic. I then hung up the phone on the 4th day and drove to the store and to no surprise there was no one in the store and nothing going on in the parts department. Ghost town in there, but there are unable to take any phone calls due to them being busy and understaffed. In reality just lazy and no one there seems to care. This is why everyone takes the 40 min trip to beverlodge to go to guadins honda. The grande praire honda is a complete joke if you want any kind of service or anything to do with atv/dirt bikes go to beverlodge. This place isnt worth it

To me this place does deserve a 5 star. I went in there expecting to come out again I am so very blown away at the amazing service and dedication these people have for there customers. Not something you expect in a car dealership. Sydney is an amazing person to talk to and she helped me not only fix my problem but found me a suitable vehicle for me and the winters we have. She put so much dedication to helping me and didn't pressure me at all on to something I couldn't do. I now have an amazing dodge truck that I never thought I would own till I was much older. I highly recommend talking to her if you are looking for a vehicle. Their manager is also a very great person not only did he help me find the right warranties he took the time to explain each one.. there patients and the fact that they actually care to help you rather than take your money and your on your own is amazing to me and next time I need a vehicle I will be going there. I also appreciate megan in financing she did an amazing job helping and made sure this fit my budget. She explained everything in such good detail my warrenty and what it covered that I could understand it and smiled the entire time and made sure I under stood everything before I left that day. Customer service I would say is more than 5 stars I'd say pretty close to 10.
