Sydney airport needs some more workers. The gate agents left 4 of us (not traveling together) to miss our flight. Understandably there's a 1 hour cut off time. Unfortunately the online check-in didn't work, and the gate agents left at the 60 min cutoff time. I had no bags to check, neither did 2 of the other passengers. We asked the airport staff if they could ping the Air Canada gate agents to come help us but they refused. I fly out of small airports regularly and have often been 5-10 mins past the cut off time - never have I had this experience where the agents just leave. I know I need to work on my punctuality, but this airport needs to be aware that a lot of people are missing their flights at syndey airport. I asked the gate agent when he was rebooking me if this happens a lot and he said "oh yes quite a bit." Well, if you want people to use Sydney Airport instead of Halifax Airport, perhaps you can be more accomodating to passengers who are just shy of the cutoff time.

Nice little airport, still under Covid-19 restrictions but very friendly people working out there. More flights are being added so business will pick up.

The gentleman working out front when dropping my sister and baby to departures, wouldn't let me go into the airport where they accidentally took my car keys, me with the baby in my arms, 4am after 3 hours of driving , I could see her from where I was standong.....had to one hand called her to bring them out so 25 min later I could give her the child and move the car.....all while he stood and watched me.........my first trip was amazing but this guy ruined this ending

The SMALLEST airport I've ever been in. A total of 2 planes depart here at a given time. It's crazy how small it is. The security is INSIDE the waiting room of BOTH PLANES. I mean on the plus size you don't wait very long to pass security(unless you get there a bit late, then you're stuck with all the other late comers in a single file line), on the down side you can't really eat or buy souvenirs here. They're stripping away one of the reasons I love airports: mindless buying of overpriced souvenirs and food. But I still liked it. It was clean, efficient, and the staff was very nice.

The airport seems good. Very friendly staff and they made it really easy to show proof of vaccination when coming in. The challenge is the contract they have for taxis. I spent 2 hours waiting for a taxi last night and when talking to locals and the airport staff it seems like this is common.

For it's size, this airport is efficiently run. The only smaller airport I've ever been to is in Kodiak, Alaska. No need to come two hours early when there is only 1 flight at a time! There aren't any other options, but this place is the BEST regardless.

First time flying into Sydney, NS. Staff is extremely kind. We got off on the runway, rather than a tunnel. It was mid august, sunny skies, walking off on the runway felt like we landed in the Caribbean! We are on an island after all! Taxis were all lined up outside, no Uber as of today. Taxi ride was about 60$ to Lunenberg. With this pandemic easing up I’m hoping they add more flights from Montreal and Toronto to Sydney. Limited food options at the airport and car rentals.

Smallest airport I’ve been to. Usually fly in here once a year. Great staff and never long lineups. Air Canada and Westjet are the only airlines that fly here

It's my lifeline for travel to destinations in Canada. Without it I have to commute to HAlifax to fly. It's important that we use our airport in order to keep it part of our community.

A great welcome for visitors to the island. You'll see some interesting pictures depicting Cape Breton area attractions and scenery including Fortress Louisburg.

The people working at this airport need to get their health checked. Everyone looks like they just woke up and have no idea what's going on, service is extremely slow, unprofessional, careless and rude just to name a few things. Air canada counter was a real joke had to call a different airport to get answers for this one because they just have no idea what they are doing

Most airport and security staff here are great. Some airline employees can be hit or miss. They need better WiFi in waiting area as cell phone reception is poor and the WiFi network gets overwhelmed. Usually a very clean facility.

Would rate 3.5 if there was an option. The staff are friendly and helpful - but the dining options and vending options are very limited. If you ever needed to spend time in the airport it would not be good. Lucky for us we do not have too. There isn't anything to do to waste some time. I understand its a small airport and that it probably why.

Very small with very limited facilities, only 1 restaurant/bar which I’ve never seen open. Staff are friendly, only a few flights per day, but since this is only commercial pax airport on the island, it serves its purpose. No need to arrive early for a departing flight because there’s nothing else to do here but wait.
