This a very clean dealership. Hyundai employees can assist and guide you in French and english. People are friendly, I did not feel any of the car sales pressures associated with dealing with a, er, dealership. The presentation room has a wide variety of models offered that you can try. They also have a waiting area, free WiFi and free coffee. Of note, I didn't buy a car, or had to deal with the parts and services departments like some previous reviewers. I did read the good, and bad and can't comment on waiting times, and specific dealings with mentioned individuals. The lady (Valerie?) at the reception was engaging and positive, even if she 'knew nothing about cars', as she put it ;). Cheers

I bought a used car there and a piece of panel that hides the inside of the trunk so that we cannot see through the rear window was missing. I realized that when I arrived home with my car. Terrible staff in the garage. My one year old car had a recall for the hatch door, they replaced it, left the old glass on my back seat and forgot to plug in the wires for the defrost. Had to go back of course. Then door to the gas tank did not open, again I went and apparently they fixed it. Today at gas station and the door does not open. To make matters worse, TWO DAYS after picking up the car that was supposedly inspected, the battery flat out dies on us. It's a good car but I've had no end of bad experiences with this dealership. The people themselves are courteous but I've never experienced poor service like this before with Honda or Mazda with whom I've had my previous cars. Here's what happened: 1) Seasonal tire change: they forgot to tighten the bolts! The sound of the loose tires was very loud and I thought the tires were going to fall off. 2) I was driving down highway 5 in Chelsea when all of a sudden the sunroof exploded into pieces. I managed to pull over and thankfully there were no other vehicles in sight or it could have caused an accident. I was covered in glass and thankfully my child wasn't in the car. There was no impact, no explanation and upon research I discovered that this has happened to other vehicle owners before! Hyundai would not fix it or take responsibility for it. I had to pay to have the sunroof repaired and it doesn't open or close properly now. 3) Another seasonal tire change. This time, when I picked my car up it had a large crack across the front windshield that was most definitely not there when I dropped it off. They will not take responsibility for it and they handed me an estimate to replace it for $1000!!! 4) The next day, I heard a large clunking noise and had to pull over, afraid that something dangerous had broken. I had an independent mechanic have a look at the car and he explained that the front driver's side tire had not been tightened - AGAIN! 5) I also asked the mechanic to inspect the car for repairs and he came back with a $400 estimate for the brakes compared to the almost $2,000 estimate I was given for repairs to be made by Hyundai. Needless to say, go elsewhere!

"I brought my car here for an oil change and got a call from them telling me I had to fix many things. 1- back breaks $436.27 2- front breaks $567.06 3- a broken oil pressure switch $499.27 4- Reseal timing cover $1066.80 5- Table Gauche $223.33 Imagine my surprise! 1st issue (Breaks): I told them that I had just changed the back breaks two years ago so it was crazy they needed changing already, but to go ahead with the front breaks. When I saw the parts, I notices the rotors where perfect and the break pads still had some width in them. 2nd issue (Oil pressure switch): I told them I had just changed the oil pressure switch less then a year ago so it should be under the warranty. They quickly told me that I had to go back to the original Hyundai dealership that had changed it. so I did, but when they inspected my car, they said there was no leak!. imagine my surprise. If I would not have had that warranty, I would had say "yes change it", and they would had charged for nothing. I would had paid them $499.27 for nothing!. I wonder how many other things they are doing that go unnoticed by people. Did I do the rest of the suggested things on their list? No, I will take it to an independent mechanic and see if there are actual issues with my car of if its just them saying so. "

Overall bad buying experience. My first visit was good; I was greeted promptly and offered a test drive. Once it came time to go through the buying process it got BAD. For one, If you meet someone by the name of Jean Richard, walk away or ask to speak to someone else. He was very condescending and arrogant and after I realized so many people on reviews had a bad experience with him, its obvious that Hyundai Hull doesn't do anything about these complaints since he’s still doing what others have complained about today. On another attempt with another Manager, I asked 4 times to negotiate the full price of the car instead of the payments but he refused my request and kept to his obvious up-selling techniques. Once I finally accepted an offer, I was pushed into an office for 30 minutes where they did their best to make me spend more on their warranty options. It took multiple times for me to say I’m not interested before they gave up. Buyers beware, if you have a hard time negotiating or sticking to your budget, they will use all the tricks to up-sell you your car. This experience made me realize how getting rid of dealerships as middle-men is a great idea and I only hope my next car can be done online, directly through the manufacturer. Goodbye Hyundai HULL, I will never recommend you.

Telling us to wait is week is not an acceptable answer to fixing the problem that you caused. To add further frustration, once my car FINALLY got in- we never received a call from them. Why? Because on the day of my appointment, they didn't even bother to look at my car and I have to wait even longer now.

I agree with other reviewers, this dealership is vague about everything and you can not get a clear answer until the last moment. We recently bought a 2020 Ioniq from Hull Hyundai. We were clear with what we were looking for in terms of extra features and conveniences and asked for the car in blue. After a few days we were told that there were no blue Ioniqs available but that the white with tinted windows was nice. We agreed to the white with tint and asked them for winter tires to compensate for not getting the exact car that we wanted. They said no problem but never showed us the price breakdown until the day we were to pick up the car and AFTER we had already handed them the keys to our old car. So we ended up with the wrong colour, no tint on the windows and paying for the winter tires we thought would be free. They played a game of shells with us and were not transparent in the beginning about exactly what we would get and what we were paying for. Further, we could not get clear confirmation that we would get the promised 3 years of free service. We finally had to speak with management to have this. Days after speaking to the manager we received a letter outlining how much we would pay for service? When we called to find out why we would be paying for service when we were assured that if was free for 3 years it was explained that it was a standard letter. This confused and disorganized approach does not make me feel confident in any future service we will receive.

For and oil change, when I asked them what the use was to schedule an appointment, I was told that the appointment was with the service councillor and that the work was a separate event. I cant speak to new car experience, but we purchased a used car and had many problems with Ontario safety that we paid 300 dollars to be completed. the work was not done correctly four rotors were finished and window tint was so dark that it had to be removed for safety 900 dollars of work, none of this was done. When there today, to look forr a Sonata 2019, talked to 3 salesman, i asked a simple question!! What is the price for a Sonata, all 3 couldn't answer. One of them was rude, so he sens me with this older gentleman. I sat down, he could not type on the keyboard. He told me he as been salesman for 30 years!! What!! Cant use a keyboard, he couldn't find the word Sonata, keept typing Kona!! Are you kidding me!! I got up and left. Staff not friendly and rude. Don't bother going there. And i had to wait about 15 minutes, before the receptionist even notices me!! And the place was empty, i guess playing on her Cell phone was more important... Owner should be ashame... Called to inquire about test driving a Kona EV and before I could even finish my sentence the sales guy went into a speech about how they don't let just anyone test drive the car and that I would be required to put a deposit of $1000 on purchasing a Kona before taking a test drive. When I told him that Nissan does not require a deposit for test driving the Leaf and that I wanted to compare both vehicles before purchasing one, he responded by saying that there is no comparison and many people put down deposits before even seeing the vehicle. I thanked for narrowing down my decision and hung up. Maybe Hyundai should adopt the Tesla dealership model.

Very bad service. First they installed my winter tires wrong as the rear ones are bigger (I even told them when I brought the car) so I call them so have this fixed and they can't guarantee it'll be done within an hour.. just to switch tires. So 6min and $10 later at jiffy lube it's done. There's always something at Hull Hyundai, buying a car is fine but after that the service is horrible. Another time they had me waiting 1h before telling me they received the wrong part so I had to go back another time, anyway there's always something.

I agree with other reviewers, this dealership is vague about everything and don’t tell you the full story until it`s too late or the contract’s done. They played a game with me and didn’t give me a clear answer when I was asking questions. I dealt with 3 different people and all 3 had different stories. They weren’t transparent at all. They tried to blame some of theirs mistakes on me even though I wasn’t alone in the process, so I had proof they’ve lied to me. They have a confused and disorganised approach which doesn’t make me feel confident in and I lost all trust in them. The sales and finances directors lied several times. They tried to cover and didn’t assume any of the mistakes that cost me money, time and energy after the fact. Which was supposed to be fast and easy to repair wasn’t at all and still not over... I’m never going back even for an oil change. (Which by the way, was put on the contract even if I told them no...) They didn’t listen when I told them I didn’t want any additional warranty or insurances. When it came to sign the contract (which was just a formality because of the pandemic situation everything was already done) they had put it in anyway in the contract.

I purchased my car in July 2019 , the sales team were wonderful . However I've not had the same experience with the service dept . When I picked up my car last year I didn't notice the two rear seatbelts were damaged as I never sat in the back during the test drive. In Jan I had time to bring the car in and had one of the service advisors come out and look at them and he said he would order them and call when they were in . It's now 2 months later and I hadn't heard anything so I called and after being transferred 3 times finally spoke with the parts dept was told there was no record of anything and wanted to again pass me off to the advisors voicemail. I've in the past as well been out on hold forever when I tried to book an appointment for service and endedp not booking one because the appointment would have been 2 weeks later. Needless to say my patience has run out with your service and will be looking elsewhere for service in the future. Update...walked in to Myers Hyundai and had the parts ordered , a repair order written and a service appointment for Friday , all within 10 minutes .... Maybe there's and example to be seen!

I bought a Santa Fe 2.0T there in 2016 clearly explaining I wanted to tow a travel trailer. This was my main reason for looking at this SUV. Took me awhile to get around to buying one and recently started looking. The 1st I looked at the person was very kind and told me about his brother-in-law trying to tow 2000 to 3000lbs; a tent trailer. Today I had to call. I have the extended warranty. From communication to service and general organization the team at Hull Hyundai was brutal. I went to Surgenor Hyundai, I went to Hull Hyundai, I went to Gatineau Hyundai, but I only trust Pathway Hyundai to work on my car. But haven't found a place to buy a Hyundai car yet... If I could give a no star review I would. Went multiple times to the garage. The worst they do is break every trims they remove!!! Once I went there for a random warranty issue on something aesthetic; something else then the engine and exhaust system. They gave me my car back, went home, noticed there was something strange with the car like no power, no acceleration, hard time keeping the engine idle. When I got home I looked around the car for something when I noticed a rag in the exhaust. I came back and returned the rag to the Service Advisor a week later. He said this shouldn't affect the car performance. He was clueless. Once my rear defroster was damaged. They said it was under warranty and they ordered the piece and I should get a call to change the piece in a month. Came back two months later, they said the window was not received yet, they will then rush the order and I should receive a call in a month. Came back two other months later, they said the window was not received yet, they will then rush the order and I should receive a call in a month. Finally received a call, they received the item, I had to come to change the window two weeks later. Came in, started the job, then said they only needed to do a little soldering in the end; plus there was soldering lead everywhere in the trunk. In the end I waited around 5 months all winter (when I needed the rear defroster) because a guy didn't check it's job properly to order something not needed. Plus the Service Advisor had not done it's job properly neither ordering the piece, and lied to me. A recent car should never take more then two weeks to order a piece. I've seen all of the Service Advisors there, there was a rotation between them for two years. I never saw a competent one. I even recognize one in a random store later and the guy didn't not even acknowledge having worked there ever; he was obviously embarrassed of been recognized. I could've recognized is face between a million.

We bought a used car from this dealership last month. Unfortunately, their finance person lied to us and tried to increase the price by including life insurance under false pretenses. I noticed too many reviews that had similar experiences of trying to add extra charges to just be a one time thing or an honest mistake. When we told them that we did not agree to the life insurance, the person handing over the car brought in another individual that proceeded to try and intimidate us into accepting the deal. After we refused, the price was reduced to the original price we had agreed upon. All of a sudden the person handing over the car was really nice to us, where before he was not pleasant. It would appear there are a variety people at this dealership that could be involved in this type of scam to increase the price on customers. In addition, one reason we decided to buy from a Hyundai dealer was they have this certified pre-owned promise. Well we needed to buy winter tires and rims right away and we came to find out that the cars filters needed to be change (they were so dirty that there was a whistling sound when using the heater), there was very little brake oil left and what was left needed to be flushed and changed, and the alignment needed to be adjusted. I guess that certified pre-owned promise didn't include these basic maintenance care. Well lesson learned since this was the first used car we bought. It's really too bad as we were hoping to establish a good relationship with this dealership so we could bring our car back for maintenance and repairs, but we can't trust this dealership. My wife and I are very honest and hard working people, and we understand businesses and people need to make money especially during these times, but if you have to lie and cheat to make money then maybe you shouldn't be in business. Anyway, we thank this dealership and the people that gave us this experience because it taught us many hard lessons. We will still seek to see the best in people, but we wont be as naive next time.

Honestly I’m very disappointed, not only are there hidden fees on their vehicle pricing but they also do false advertising with their photos. Their photos have a filter on them so the car in person won’t be the same as the one in the photo online, the photos make the cars look like they have tint but they don’t and the colour is different in person. Just a warning to those looking to buy. When trying to figure out if cars have certain features instead of checking for the answer they just reply with “I don’t know”. We had an agreement to do the car for a certain price and for it to be ready for pickup at a certain time, both the deal and the appointment were broken. Even when we spoke to the Sales Manager about making up for some of these issues the most he could do is take $10 off, like what kind of business are you running? When I asked for the Managers business card they said they won’t give it to me because they don’t want me to write a 1 star review and post his name in it. In conclusion I do not recommend buying here unless you want to met with nonprofessional and untrustworthy individuals.

Once I arrived, I met Jean Richard, the director of used vehicle sales, and he had completely changed the numbers. When we tried telling him that we had a deal with the director of sales, he became condescending, cold and rude, and simply said ‘it can’t be changed. It’s like that’ even when his own sales rep agreed with us.. anyway, after a day, the director general of sales contacted me, and after a few hours, agreed to give me a similar deal. Point of the story, don’t ever go there: they don’t respect their promises and don’t honour their deals. Go to Gatineau Hyundai or Buckingham Hyundai instead. Most of their sales rep left to go there anyway

Once I get there, the salesperson brings the key and tells me I can’t drive the car, but I can start it and picture what it’s like to drive. Yes, just pretend you’re driving it. The only option to test the USED car before purchasing it was to negotiate the price first and then place a deposit. Buy before you try. The salesperson would run in and out and state that the “sales manager” would not allow a test drive without negotiating the price and a deposit. The stated, “we don’t want to add miles to it.” I was then assured that the manager had been driving this car for a week when it was traded in and there is nothing wrong with it. Yes. The sales manager can rack up the km for FUN, but we can go to hell for asking to test it before buying it. Read the other reviews and see for yourself just how sleazy these people are. Then look how little they care. All the answers are a generic copy and pasted message.

Worst dealership ever. They only care about your money. You have to beg and run after them to get information, even the basic one they have to provide you. I have been running after Paul to get my car VIN number. He was supposed to give it to me after few minutes. I waited for hours and finally called back, he left office already. The next day I called him, he said he asked to a colleague to provide me the VIN, but that colleague forgot. And none of them apologized. Moreover, the night I visited my car, me and my wife have been forgotten and locked in the parking with no way out. Very disrespectful. I took my vehicle in to have the tires changed from winter to summer. While I was there I also thought that it might be a good idea to have the vehicle detailed. Unfortunately, it came out looking like nobody touched the trunk, console, or even below the steering wheel. They are only getting 1 star because Google won't allow for zero. I have purchased a used car here and have nothing but problems, starting from them forgetting to do the inspection before handing over to me resulting in the need for 3 service calls. My favorite was that the key fob they gave me was dead, so on my first drive with it, I was left abandoned in a parking lot because I could not get into the car. Here I am again with another major problem and they can't service me for days and refuse to give a loaner car. I will never do business with these people again, service problems happen but the absolute lack of apology or diligence to correct their issues is appalling.

Glenn Mathurin, Jean Richard and Sebastien Monette can not be trusted! I would never recommend this dealership or any of it's employees listed above, on the surface they act very professional and thoughtful, unfortunately it is all a ruse. I tried to give them the benefit of doubt but absolutely zero attempt has been made to correct the issues. So I am now out $1125 to replace windshield wipers that were well past their useby date, a spare tire that was never there and replace the "good summer tires that would get me through a couple summers" but were below the wear bars, completely unsafe to use and oh so thoughtfully wrapped up in the car when I picked it up. Buying a car that is safety certified from these shining example of 1970's salesmanship is meaningless as they obviously follow their own pocket books and are selling vehicles that are not actually meeting the provincial requirements. Avoid this dealership at all costs, they will scam you any chance they get.
