New info: Investigation Completed. See Attached Photos for E-mails! Had an MVI performed on 2016 Ram 1500 Sport and less than 10 days later discovered metal on metal contact rear brakes. Brought this to the attention of Summit and the Service Advisor stated I would be looked after and that I should have the brakes done in Saint John the bring in the old parts for refund. I mentioned I had photos and when she heard that she asked me to email them and claimed she would reply with confirmation of their good will gesture. Well...she complained the photos were not satisfactory and I explained they were the best I could take. So now she retracted and said she would need to consult the owner the following morning. She left me hanging in the email correspondence and I have an important job where I cannot be missing time. The truck was my daily driver at this point. I had to hunt for a rental and it turns up the entire city had none available. Then it was later in the evening and I had to work with my supervisor on switching my day off so I could get the truck repaired. The following morning I spoke to the Service Manager again and she was rude and said I would need to tow the truck up to have them look at it. I immediately requested to speak with the Owner. The owner called back and paid for the tow at a cost of nearly $400.00. It was quoted $419.00 to do the brake work in Saint John so Sunmit could have saved the money. Anyways up we go to Summit. They come back stating they messed up and as such would be replacing the rotors and pads. They used the cheapest rotors which are complete rust around the hub and mopar v line pads but they reused the retainer clips so now my brakes squeak. New retainer clips come with the new brakes but they chose not to use them and when I addressed this later on the Service Advisor seemed not to care at all. The fact to keep in mind is an MVI was performed inadequately missing key safety isssues such as the brakes. It gets even more interesting when I now noted the E-brake seems to be stretched and when I pull up on the release it doesn’t come back up all the way. I remember the mechanic at Summit who did the brake work asked me if I use my E-brake and suggested that if I didn’t not to start - this I found strange. What does he know? On a new vehicle it’s less likely the cable stretched and more likely the E-brake was not adjusted. Anyways the rotors look awful now and the squeak is annoying. The day that they replaced the brakes I specifically asked Service to keep the old brake parts for me and they assured me they would. I drove off without the old parts and called them to find out they threw the. Out. I asked them to keep them and I would get in when I could to get them. I wanted the old parts for any inspector who might want them when I filed the complaint. When I did get back to Summit the Service Manager unnecessarily threw the parts on the counter and sarcasticly said she didn’t know why I needed them and complained about having to fish them out of the trash. I have performed 4 vehicle transactions with Summit since 2012 and will never buy from them again especially considering the unprofessional nature of the Service Department. I recorded nearly each interaction which will be posted in full context online for educational purposes. I also reviewed footage from my dash cam and observed unprofessional behaviour by the mechanic. I have an open MVI complaint which has been submitted to the NB Licencing Officer.

Service Sucks. Bought 2 vehicles so far and won't be buying brand new anymore because it seems that every FCA dealer is useless at best from my experiences. Everything from their lack of knowledge to their less than interested in 'helping you' attitude. My advice; buy what you want, buy used, and NEVER buy used or new from a dealership. I have done both and the best deals and best vehicles I have had were private sales! Obviously Summit is interested only in sales numbers and customer loyalty or returning customers doesn't seem to mean anything.

I was looking for a used Van with a specific option set. I had been told at another dealership that this combination did not exist. Scott showed me 3 Vans with the combination I was looking for (both new and used). It was a great experience, Scott was really good to deal with and the Sales Manager helped make the entire experience NOT something to be dreaded. Brought my 2016 Jeep Cherokee to this dealer 4 times within the past couple of months for the same water leak issue. Paid over $600 and the issue is still not fixed and they stated there is nothing further they can do and did not provide any sort of refund. Disappointed with the service.

I had a great experience at Summit Dodge when we purchased our Town & Country. Our salesman, Steve Kennedy, went above and beyond to make sure my wife and I were getting everything we were looking for and took the time to walk us through the pricing, financing and all the features of our new van. He was very knowledgable about the vehicle and he was very easy to deal with. We never once felt pressured to buy a vehicle and we were very happy with the deal we were able to negotiate. The service department was also top notch when it came to getting our winter tires put on. I picked up some used rims and brought them in to get my winter tires put on and of course they didn't fit so they had to take the tires off the new rims and put them back on the old rims, they did all of that and did not charge me even though it was my fault I had bought the wrong rims. I would recommend Summit to anyone in New Brunswick (and farther). Give Steve a call, it will be worth it!

Personally I have bought a few vechiles from summit dodge in Fredericton. Great place to go if you want to get treated like family. They bend over backwards to help you and to make you feel comfortable with your purchase. If they can help with the purchase price or get you a little better deal then they do that as well. My sales guy was Kristian fogly and he is a great sales man. I'm sure if you went to summit dodge you would be able to find any sales person there just as good. I'll continue to go there for my services and all vechiles needs. Great place to shop.

Mixed experiences at Summit. I've bought two new vehicles there within a year of one another. My truck i haven't really had any issues with service. The car on the other hand.. wow. We have made appointments for recall work 2-3 weeks in advance, go to pick the car up, and they say we have to bring it back in, as they have ordered the parts for recall. "HELLO" people... it was HERE for the recall!! you should have had the parts here ALREADY!. they don't seem to understand (or care) that you have to be late for work/business to get this stuff looked after and under the assumption you can just drop your car off whenever and go without it for the day. There is an annoying rumbling noise in the rear of the car that has been there since the day we bought it, have had it in numerous times, the service manager told my wife it was the "high performance muffler, you know like on race cars." after droppingaround 70-75k on vehicles there in two years, you'd think i'd get some decent service.

I've purchased 4 new vehicles at Summit Dodge since they opened in 2005. All of the vehicles were also serviced 100% at Summit (I also serviced a non-Summit purchased Pontiac Grand Am here). I've only ever had the best service. There are always bumps in the road and issues that come up with any vehicle, but Summit has always worked with us to find the best solution. I've had warranty claims, leaking tires, recall notices, etc... all of which were handled by Summit to my satisfaction.

I have edited this review to increase the rating to 4 stars. I originally gave them 3 because on a couple of occasions I have gone in and for something and I had to go back because they were not ready but, on the other hand they are easy to work with and made the situation right. Below is the original review. The people at Summit are friendly and they got the car fixed eventually but the first time I took it in they had the wrong part. I don't know if they were shipped the wrong part or ordered the wrong part but it was inconvenient.

This is the 3rd RAM I have purchased from Summit Dodge Fredericton. Each time Krisztian Fonagy (sales rep) was fantastic to deal with. He really went above and beyond to make sure I had the exact truck I wanted, and that I was 100% happy with it before signing the papers. Worst service ever when you got issues with your vehicle. They charged me 200$ of repair cost and the issue was still the same 5 mins after leaving the shop. They afterward told me Service department was close and to come back the other day. I came back and told me the technician didn’t found anything the first time but charged me 139$ of labour cost for a road test. I totally do not recommend this location for any repairs.....

After Purchasing 2 Dodge Rams (both 2009) in Aug 2012, I noticed the inspection runs out in June 2013, so took it in for service at Summit Dodge. Well was I surprised to find out that only 10 short months later all 4 brakes had to be replaced as there was nothing left. So....make a long story short - brakes only need to be at 50% in order to pass the inspection at that particular stealership - so at a mere $890.00 (in after market parts which was the "best they could do" ) I left there feeling slightly abused. A Vehicle the price and size of a RAM should, in my opinion have a decent safety inspection that would allow for a high ticket item like brakes (safety as well) be replaced prior to them selling them to an unsuspecting buying. So ...if you think you are getting a good deal....wait for it....that will soon change. Just spent my last visit to Summit....will buy dodge again...just not from them!!!

Noticed headlight not working July 12, 2018. Needed bulb. Stopped in to get a bulb at 12.25pm. Would not do the repair until July 25, 2018. Would not even look at the light to see problem. Asked for a bulb. Would not give me a bulb. Asked to buy one. Got extreme run around. Terrible service. Not impressed. Should have fixed light due to driving vehicle with light out is a violation of Motor Vehicle Act. Fixed light myself.

Stopped by to consider purchasing a caravan to replace our odyssey. And was I ever surprised by the lack of knowledge and the attitude of the "sales manager" at this location. My husband was instantly turned off - and so was I - He was ignorant, know it all, with zero insights of selling us a car. You could tell he was disturbed by one of "his" salesmen as he made that clear... -3 / 5 stars for the lack of professionalism. Needs to reevaluate his career if he cannot handle a stressful day with customers or what ever happened. Thanks to another dealer up the road, we got in to a vehicle that day.

There are rarely times when I have been able to rely on a car dealership. During my 27 years of driving I've owned 22 vehicles, my latest 2 daily drivers from Summit Dodge. My experiences have been nothing but exceptional. When I walk into that location I don't feel like a customer... I feel like a person. From the sales staff to the Receptionist and the Service Center... everyone treats me like a human being, and I never feel that I walk away with un-resolved issues. I've known some of the employees for a very long time, and I have to say that I am impressed to see such strong abilities gathered at one location. I've known Jason Embleton for almost as long as I've been driving. A solid automotive sales figure from long ago, Jason is approachable and outgoing. As a Sales Manager, I couldn't envision him in a better role. Krisztian Fonagy is a sales associate to be reckoned with! He has unparallelled people skills and will work with someone to make sure they have the best experience possible. He sold me my 2 latest vehicles, and both times I was treated professionally and with great respect. Although new to the sales team, BJ Currie is an outstanding young sales guy. He had sold me a vehicle years ago, and I have every faith in the world that he will be highly successful! His sales skills are very prominent, and he never presents an atmosphere of pressure to sell during the sales process. David in finance couldn't be a better man for the job. He examines all possibilities regardless of how much time it could take him, and he's freindly and witty. Danny, Lynn and Brent from the Service Center are also exceptionally suited for what they do. Anytime I have any questions or issues at all, I never hesitate to give them a call or bring my vehicle in for a check up. Overall, it's a pleasure to drive in to that location knowing that the staff are all friendly and approachable. We bought a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Sahara from this dealership (Summit Dodge). Our sales person was Niko and we had the best experience in buying a new vehicle from him. I found my vehicle on line and spoke to him that morning and he sent me detailed photos right away and I sent him pictures of my Cherokee that I was trading in. By the end of the day the whole process was completed and we ended up signing the papers and driving our new vehicle home. Niko was very friendly, straightforward and professional. Initial sales dept was good, can't said the same about the rest of the experience. Sold us a van that pulled to the right. After 5 months of phone calls and multiple visits back and forth from Moncton to Fredericton, Moncton Chrysler fixed it on the first visit but that was temporary because a year later it is back to pulling to the right. So not sure what that says about the Fredericton garage but there seems to be a defect in the van and probably should have gotten a new one right away.

Had my car in for a $75 oil change today and figured since I was there I would get them to fix another issue I was having with my front driver side break was grooving a perfect line into my rotor and causing a squeal (Obvious that it's metal on metal contact)$120 and 45 minutes later they told my car was ready and that my breaks had dust build up (Breaks and rotors replaced 2 months ago with 4000km on them) I asked how dust would cause a perfect deep grove in my new rotor question was disregarded with a ramble about break dust Immediately after leaving I realized issue is still present and so is a bad squeal (Metal on metal sound) called them to explain that I still had the issue and now they want to charge me again for a full break service job I explained I just paid you $45 to service that 1 break and you claimed my issue was dust build up as the problem so should I be charged again for the same service and how would the outcome be any different if you missed it the first time my question completely disregarded and then he had the nerve to ask if I was going to make another appointment sorry for my ramble but if I was you I would completely avoid this place if possible I was lucky to only lose $45.

Nice people and bad service. I brought my 2016 Jeep Patriot in for engine noise and shifting issues after being diagnosed at Mitsubishi. Leaving it for two whole days because Summit overbooked, I was told there are no shift issues and charged $80 to "confirm" that the vehicle has engine noise and will require another appointment to diagnose the issue. Really felt like a run-around and charge as much as you can type of business.

I'm usually not one to leave bad reviews, but after booking an oil change a 9 and waiting nearly 2 hours for it to be completed... it's an oil change..... what more can I say.. won't be back

Worst service in the city for routine maintenance. Appointments for oil changes (part of the warranty) took more than three hours. Appointments for tire changes took over three hours as well. Its unacceptable to leave clients sitting in the waiting room for that long for services that should take 30 mins. I wouldn't go back if you paid me.

Came in for an oil change. I dropped the vehicle off at 1020, I was told it would take an hour and a half. They lied. I came back at 1150 and it hadn't even moved. I asked what happened and they said they fell behind and it would be another 45 min. 45 min came and went and it still wasn't ready, (it would be another 10 min to top up the fluids). I didn't finally get out of there until 1250. The only reason I came here was because my vehicle is still under warranty. If you have the option not to come here don't go, unless you feel like giving up half your day for an oil change. 3 hours for a 45 min oil change is unacceptable.

I walked in on a Tuesday evening around 530 pm, took a test drive and got a deal I couldn't turn down. While doing the paperwork the sales team entertained my two children ( 4 and 2). They let me take the truck home for the night and when I brought her back the next day they provided me with a demo to get myself around town while they detailed the truck and added all the accessories. By the end of the day I had the truck in my driveway fully ready to go camping! The salesmen( Scott, and Boris), GM ( Dimar) and finance manager ( Ryan) were exceptional! I was treated so well by them that I look forward to another purchase with them soon and will recommend to anyone looking to upgrade or get into a new set of wheels!

Very unprofessional the service and parts department while waiting for my jeeps oil change. There was a customer here talking to the staff as soon as he left they started to make fun of that customer and previous customers There is no reason I should hear this kind of talk while in the waiting area makes me wonder how often this really happens I do not recommend this dealer

To the tall blond d-bag in the shop I saw what you did to my car. He goes to get my 2015 200 and bumps into another car on the lot. I saw the other car move and him look around to see if anyone saw it. I tell one of the sales guys the one with the accent who tells me that there is no damage and therefore he doesn't believe me!!!!!!! I'm already contacting my lawyer to see what can be done. My advice don't go there they will wreck your car and then say your lieing. The scratches in my bumper say otherwise. BACK TO FAIRVIEW I GO

Terrible experience called multiple times saying it was going to be more and more money fixed what they said was the problem then said it wasn't that and needed this and that and after finally giving us a total we went to pick up the car and it was 200$+ more than what they said

My first time having service performed here was today; It was warranty work, I didn't even purchase my vehicle from Summit and they treated me very well! I dropped my vehicle off this morning expecting that parts would need to be ordered and that I would probably need to re-book for repair, but they were able to repair transmission leak and replace rear differential seal today, no questions asked. I recommend Summit Dodge to everyone as they offer EXCEPTIONAL and prompt automotive service. Thank you Summit! We will be purchasing our next vehicle from you.

I bought a 2012 dodge ram outdoorsman and first of all my spare tire is on with a custome lock. I never received anything for the lock when we called they said we can order the whole special lock system for over 300 dollars. No thank you. Than my cam shaft went. 4000 to fix.... now two years one month and one week later cam shaft gone again. No warranty left. It was only for 2 years. I will never buy a dodge again! Very disappointed in dodge. Jim Gilbert's has warranty also but I had vehicles from him before and if it was something big close to the warranty he would fix it. Guess all my vehicles will come from Jim Gilbert's from now on.

The best dealership I have ever purchased a vehicle from. Thank you Krisztian Fonagy for the phenomenal service. This man will bend over backwards for you and it doesn't stop at the sale. If he sees you at the dealership he stops and chats no matter how busy he is. Whether its just to say hi or to make sure everything is going good. Along with Krisztian the owner and the GM are just as easy to deal with. If there's anything either person can do to make sure everything is good they will do their best. I have a Laramie Longhorn 2500 and my wife has a Durango GT. We couldn't be more please at the service and professionalism of Summit Dodge. Thank you for all you do.
