Had a great experience with Northstar Ford except if you want to make an appointment through their service department you have to physically go into the office because they do not answer their phone - I waited for 40 minutes and still no one picked up my call.
So I recently purchased a new 2017 ford focus rs , my sales lady was Robin Lind and I can honestly say i couldn't be happier with the purchase she helped me with and the service she provided it was top notch . Would definitely recommend her and will be coming back to her for my new purchase.

NO STARS, damaged my vehicle themselves, wont take responsibility, wont fix what they broke. Didn't reset the oil life indicator after supposedly changing the oil. Who's to say if they did or not? Why the hell would I pay for extended coverage when you wont honor it? Never buying a Ford again.

After a terrible experience with another dealership, I was thrilled to meet and work with Gary on the purchase of my new F150. Even if the same truck was cheaper at a far away dealership, it would not have mattered to me, as I bought “great service from people I can trust”. People who have been there to assist me, all the time.
Took my Ford Edge that I bought from North star Ford in for a service and to check on a funny noise. The service manager Richard Spring left a voice mail for us that our air conditioner fan bearing was shot and it would cost over 500 dollars to fix. We said no it isn’t and no you are not fixing it. Took it to another mechanic and they confirmed that nothing was wrong with the part. I was mad as hell that Service manager Richard Spring would leave a voice message and try to charge us over 500 dollars for repairs that don’t need to be done. The customer service manager said without proof in writing they would not do anything and when I called Marty Giles to complain he threatened me. Nobody was interested at all in listening to the voice mail that service manager Richard Spring left. We are involving the better business bureau.
Getting tired of hearing Marty Giles on every Fort McMurray radio station. It is constantly reminding me of when North Star Ford sold my Father a minivan years ago that was in an accident and wasn’t disclosed during the time of purchase. If their business practices/ethics have not changed you should consider shopping in Edmonton or elsewhere for peace of mind and your family’s safety.
First time at the dealership. Was greeted with very friendly staff who were all adhering to Covid-19 protocols. Beyond worth the visit .. you won't be disappointed.

Made a deal on a Jeep over the phone, my salesman Brad let me know the unit was a good looking unit and the tires were 75%. When I got to the dealership I paid for the Jeep, handed over the keys for my trade and went to look at the Jeep. Even though they had a delivery bay my jeep was parked along the wall on the Ramp out of this bay. It was not lit very well and after asking a few times they moved it into the bay. That is were I found 2 deep scratches on the LH rear door and small dents on the right hand side. The comment made by Brad was that it's good for a 2013. He showed me that the tires looked good and then let me know that they only had one key fob but they would pay for a second key. Took the jeep and headed to Edmonton, Went into Kal-Tire where they let me know that the tires were 50% on average and 2 had less than 20% on the outer tread; not worth keeping. Sent in the bill for the keys and they only pay 50% as my dealer had to program 2 new keys in order to change the code for security so that any of the missing keys can't be used on the Jeep. Guess I should have looked before I paid and walked away. This dealership just wants sales and does not represent the true condition of the vehicle up front.
I decided to stop by the dealership a few days ago as I was thinking about trading my SUV on a pickup. It was a beautiful warm sunny day so I walked around the lot looking at some of the trucks available. However after being on the lot for 45 minutes or so I hadn't seen a salesman and decided to leave. Not very hungry for a sale I guess

I called Sam looking to get out of a high interest payment from another dealer, he set me up with Destiny in sales to pick a vehicle. She listened to what I wanted and found it. Due to financing issues, I didn't get it. But, after a lot of hard work from these two, I now have a fully loaded 2017 Ford Edge. I couldn't have asked for better service. I had a great experience at North Star Ford. As this was my first time buying a vehicle, I did not know what to expect. From what I’ve heard from other people that have bought vehicles around town, that sales people can be very pushy, and try to push you into a vehicle you do not want. But this was the complete opposite with my sales specialist Destiny at North Star! She was very knowledgeable about the vehicle I was looking to purchase (2017 Ford Escape SE). She was also very kind, trustworthy, and always had a smile on her face. I would recommend her to anyone going down to North Star Ford, even if they are just looking around. I will be returning to her in the future, if I plan on buying another vehicle! Thanks Destiny for making my first vehicle purchase a great one!

Over the period of time, the quality of Northstar Ford services have gone deep down. I am dealing with them for my office vehicle for past several weeks. Gregoire Service Center rarely picks up call, it goes to a voice mail which never calls back. Several times I was lucky to get someone but then she transferred it to the other person who did not take call and it went to voice mail. They never call me back to let me know that the vehicle fixing would take more time and they would not be able to meet the dates. I understand that there were some logistic issues which were delaying the process, but is it not a common courtesy to inform the customer about the status of their vehicle? It is the customers responsibility to call them and there is a thin chance if the call is responded. Finally when I called yesterday afternoon, I was told the vehicle would be ready in half hour. When I reached Gregoire Service station after office, the front desk person told me that its cleaning was still pending. When I viewed the vehicle, it was not only dirty but its battery was also completely dead! How did they tell me that the vehicle would be ready for pickup in half hour when I called? Its very difficult to understand how do they operate. There is a big communication gap among their staff members and with the customers.

I wrote my review in the evening and the next morning I found an email from him .This means a lot..showing how serious the dealer is in maintaining the level of satisfaction of their clients with their service. He took the responsibility of the misinformation given by the sales team member at the time of the purchase.The mistake is corrected. Thank you Austin, kudos to you!! ***** I and my husband bought a slightly used ford mustang in October 2018 ,but before we bought it we noticed that the side windows are tinted. the person who assisted us was a newly hired so there was another person she asked to answer some of our questions which i asked if tinted windows were ok or it is against the law and that person said “ it is ok that it would not be a problem at all”. so I am confident enough that I am driving a vehicle that is compliant with the traffic safety rules. So this May, I was pulled over and received a ticket of $155 for driving a vehicle with tinted side windows. The police officer explained to me why it is not safe to have tinted side windows and thats why the province made it a law. This could have been avoided if the employee were honest about the information that the buyer was asking for. it wasn't a big deal if for us if tinted or not, I will still buy it , but telling me that it's was ok even if it wasn't just to sell the car was not being professional and caring for the safety of their clients. If the employee is honest and knowledgeable it is better to tell the client what to do like how to remove the tint.

The service department at northstar took my truck in for service my truck has just over 20,000 km on it. there was a couple issues with the truck that they deemed unwarrantable which I disagreed with they just told me there was nothing they could do.they charged me $550 and I had no solutions to my problem. I might as well of drove down hiway 63 and thrown my 500$ out the window then at least I would’ve had my truck that day. I feel like they were not willing at all to work with me and I will avoid this service department in the future to bad there is not another ford dealership in fort McMurray.

I came in for an oil change. Just oil change nothing else. Cost me $195. To compare Jiffy Lube in Fort McMurray would have cost $115 and a dealership in Calgary $90. I expected it to be a more pricey than elsewhere but this just seems insane. Do not recommend oil changes here for the price. Great service though just expect to pay a ton.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. They couldn't even get a tire for Ford F-150 model, which is the most common Ford truck that is out there. They informed us that the tire will be ready by Monday when we spoke to them on Wednesday. When we followed up on Monday they said it will be ready on Tuesday. We go there and it isn't ready. We call Wednesday (now its been a week) and they say it will be ready for pick up. We drive there and no one knows anything about the tire and have lost our damaged tire/rim. We wasted so much time and the service manager that was looking after our repair was nothing but unhelpful, impossible to get a hold of, unpleasant when you get a hold of her and bad at communicating with her colleagues. We would never go to Northstar Ford and do not recommend this location.
Amazing service. Only complaint? The bald guy’s head…Ah, Ainsworth, was it? Was shining throughout our conversation. The flare irritated my eyes. Other than that, this was a great experience.

I am beyond pleased with the service I received tonight. I went grocery shopping and my house key fell into a very difficult place underneath the carpet of my drivers seat. how? not quite sure myself. Didn't know who to go to for help so I decided to get help from Ford. I went into the quick lane and asked a lady for help, she wasn't quite sure how so she asked Josh to help. He was very surprised since the catch is so tight to the carpet. He proceeded to take my car apart trying to find my key. He had special tools to take the plastic clips off and a magnet. We still couldn't get to it no matter which angle we tried. He then proceeded to get help, which now he asked Michael the service manager. He then continued to really get in there reaching under the carpets and trying different areas. He came to the conclusion we had to remove the seat to get underneath the seat. He brought Shane in who took my vehicle. I went into the waiting room and Josh came out with my key and a key ring, he was happy to announce they found my key. I am beyond thankful for these men who generously helped me find my house key. I cannot thank you guys enough! It's sooo nice to have good hearted, hard workers giving Fort McMurray a good name. I have been a Mopar fan/owner my entire life. The horrendous service at Legacy made me look at Ford as they have a much better service department. I began dealing with Nicole Robinson on a F450 Platinum dually and her knowledge, passion about her product and obvious concern for her customers convinced me that buying a Ford from Northstar was my best option. So much so that the week after I ordered my truck, I traded my wife's Jeep in for a new Explorer. Dealt with Stephanie (sales woman) and Austin (sales manager). Very nice individuals and work hard to get the customer's needs met. Would highly recommend working with these two. No pushy sales tactics or eagerness to take your money. Only concern is getting you into the right vehicle.

You guys managed to have my review took down. But google asked me to put up another one. So here I am. Not impressed with this place very fake people working in sales. I will not be putting in any deatails about my vichel and how bad everything has turned out I will say this tho. Its 100% true on what they say once you buy a ford it's always in the shop. They also never have parts for recalls. If something goes wrong with your vichel and you have warranty it will most likely take years and alot of your own personal time to get it fix and delt with. Ligit thinking about trading in my vichel to another dealer ship just to get away from ford not impressed at all. And from what I'm hearing around town you guys are building a bad reputation slowly but surely. Please get your act togeather and be real with people no more lies tell us straight up stop sugar coating everything and please check into your quick lane and sales department the only really good experances I've had was with finances and picking up a vichel. They really brake down everything for you in contract and when your picking up a vichel with out them you guys prob fail big time

Took my f250 super duty here a month ago because me truck wouldn't start. After pay 1600$ just in diagnosis ford called me and said it would 16 thousand dollars for repairs. Said it need a new fuel system. Well 16000 is insane just for the fuel system so I had the truck towed back to Edmonton and took it to my mechanic there. Well we changed 2 injectors and the truck is running smooth. Total cost in edmonton? 1400. So ford charged me more to diagnose and lie to me then it was in edmonton to have the repairs done. Think twice guys
I went to the new "clubhouse" 2 separate times to purchase a new truck and a used suv. The first time no sales person was available to help so after 15 Mins I left. The second time I was frustrated by 10 mins so I left all my contact info with the receptionist. 2 weeks later no one has contacted me. What kind of sales dept doesn't call someone looking to spend a crap ton of money and knows what they want? Looks like I'll see if Chevy would like to take my money.

Jenny heard everything, never missed a beat, asked questions to gain clarity and insight, walked through everything with patience, grace, and a fabulous sense of humour. I’ve called a real b@!! buster, mainly due to knowing what I want and have a low tolerance for b.s. As always, I came in knowing what numbers would work for me, and the simple wish for an SUV. Jenny opened me up, encouraged me to try different vehicles, models, and sizes under the Ford banner. When I was still on the fenceshe encouraged me to try a Lincoln… Let me tell you as I slid into the seat it was as if angels sang! This vehicle was designed for me personally. It was truly a “moment. When I started the engine I was caught off guard by the quiet, then when I hit the highway on test drive …. Wowzer!!! The power, the cabin silence, and the responsiveness were beyond my expectations! Blew me away! Jenny took her time, figured out what made me tick, took my budget to heart, and matched me perfectly to my new Lincoln selection. When I threw a wrench into everything, the sales management rose to the occasion and worked to find my vehicle, make, model, feature package and most specifically COLOUR. There were only 2 in Canada, and neither of them in Western Canada. Many would have tried to change my mind, or distract me with another shiny object, or worse just said “oh well”. I went with a friend to look at a preowned SUV she was interested in and to trade in her car. After test driving the vehicle we sat down with the sales person and found out the vehicle needed break work a new back window (no defrost) and 3k worth of paint work repairs. After there offer on her car being low as always, My friend was willing to accept the paint chip repairs but not the rest at her own cost as the vehicle was almost 40k. After much back and forth the dealership decided that they would do the break work but cover only half of the rear window. Total 300$. My friend felt very nickel and dimed and the dealership lost a sale over 300$. It baffles me that they were getting her old car at their set price with no haggling.....but couldn't cover a new back window and breaks to make the sale happen. 300$ .....
North Star had posted a vehicle on Kijiji which seemed to be a good deal, and so I had texted briefly with the sales rep to find out a few details. About two weeks later, I was more interested, and so I contacted them to find out more. I got about 80% done the sales process (finance application approved, etc.) before the terms of the deal started to change. I tried to reason with the sales rep but he insisted it was my fault, with no attempt to reach a compromise or suggest he may have been partly to blame. There was lots of pressure - on three different occasions over 4 days, I was told there were "very interested" customers in the store looking at buying the vehicle I was interested in. I tried talking to the sales manager, and the story he gave me about the vehicle directly contradicted the story the sales rep gave me. I finally told them no deal, and then was contacted a couple days later by the sales rep to try to resurrect the deal - and again, with high pressure tactics, and blame that it was all my fault and he was the one who was being reasonable, this despite my offer to pay more money than originally offered to make the deal work out. I even tried getting them to work through another dealership to offer both parties more security. Throughout, the sales rep and sales manager backed each other up and were both very resistant to giving up any control of the deal. I began to wonder if there was something wrong with the vehicle that they didn't want anyone else to see until it was sold. My conclusion is that these guys are professionals - not amateurs who make obvious mistakes, but professionals who are good at spinning their words, giving vague answers, and subtly changing the terms of the deal as it progresses. Other people online seem to have had the same experience with these two. BUYER BEWARE Not all is bad though. I give the finance manager Bryan top marks. He was very friendly and accommodating, and worked fast.
We visited this dealership earlier this summer and started a conversation with Courtney Kern. Told her what we were kinda looking for and that's when it started. We made a couple of inquiries with her but didn't get what we were looking for, but then as she promised, along came the right vehicle. She wasted no time in contacting us and from there we proceeded to make the purchase. All of this would not have happened if it were not for the great staff at North Star Ford here in Fort McMurray. We were treated as people and loyal customers (even though this is our first Ford) right from our first meeting several months ago to the delivery of our vehicle just this past weekend. Easiest time i ever had buying a car, I met Austin Giles who is very friendly, went for a test drive with 2 vehicles and narrowed it down to my Ford Fusion 2013, not even 24 hours later he had sent me all the info I requested which was different rates of payment, the following day I met Sam in finance who got the approval papers from the bank, i then was shown all the features of the car inside and out from the nice lady and I was on the road, everyone was super friendly and I will be dealing with Ford forever...

Educate yourself before you visit. This place is built to prey on a customers blissful ignorance. Don't let them blind you with shiny objects. When it comes down to brass tax, their math is different than what they teach in school.

Just had to return a belt that wasn't the correct size. The lady at the desk (I believe her name was Shantez) verified that the belt should have fit the make and model of the truck in question. None the less she provided a refund. When asked if she could help find the correct belt (had the old belt with me), as this was off of a critical piece of snow removal equipment, the response was "Do you know how long that would take if I went digging through all our belts?!" Great customer service. Just another reason not to go to the stealership; off to Napa we go....

Jenny Eastwood. From start to finish, she is there with a bubbly, colorfull attitude to make your buying experience top shelf. I say this, 1-2020 F450, 1-2020 Ranger, and my favorite, 2020 GT 500. The latter will bring a lot of smiles per gallon. Not only is Jenny first rate, everyone at Northstar is. My # 1 Ford Fort McMurray.
I will never ever deal with this place again what a joke..... we bought a new truck 2 weeks ago first off we wanted some extras added to the truck and they didn't have the one we wanted there , which was fine our truck had to come from Calgary that was on a Saturday they told us our truck would be ready on Thursday , Friday at the latest .. so we had to take the insurance and stuff off our truck and put it on the new one no one called or nothing going to let us know what was going on if our truck west there or not ex.. so we went in on Friday afternoon no one knows anything .. they don't k own where our truck is if anything that's surposed to be done to it is or not , nothing .. so they spend an hour looking for it ...then they find it nothing is done tho so we can't take it we tell them well we need something to drive as we have no insurance on our truck . They give us another truck to drive till ours is done ..again they told us it would be done Saturday .. again no one calls nothing we go in again and again it's not done. also in all of this so far not one person has said sorry or nothing . Then they tell us it will be done on Sunday ... ok it is now Sunday we don't here anything till about 1 they call and say we need you to bring back the truck we let u drive while yours is getting done because we have a person here that wants to buy it WHAT we are out with our family have to drop everything to bring back this truck and ours is still not done . We go in I ask for management he comes over I tell him all of this and he's just says ya that's the way it goes again no sorry or nothing then the first person we were dealing with comes and says ok your truck is done so we are like yes this nightmare is over ..2 hours later again that we were there they take us to out truck and then tell us u can take it but this and this and this is not done yet so u will have to bring it in later in the week to get these things ..fine can we go we go to take the truck and the engine light is on a do they can't get it off also the remote start won't work ARE YOU KIDDING this is a brand new truck .then tell us we have to put it in the shop to see what's going on ( was was this not looked at before ) we have our 2 year old with us and we have already been there 2 hours I said no we can't so they ask if my husband can come back down yup sure so he brings us home and goes back down .. again he's down there 2 hours and still not done this is a Sunday that we usually spend with family have haven't been able to . This is so disappointing and sad really that no one down there knows how to do their job. Will never go back as long as I live. O and we are still not done as we only have one key and no manual , and no navigation card ...so still have to go back :(
UPDATE Nov 28, 2019: - I was asked to send an email in North Star Ford's response to this review. I sent an email Nov 5, 2019 and, alas, over 3 weeks later still no response. This blatant ignoring of customer complains and a facade of them remotely caring about these reviews is why I'll never recommend North Star to anyone. In fact, I'll go out of my way to tell people to avoid this place. It's pretty sad how bad their Google reviews are considering it looks like they rely on fake and employee reviews. I was so unhappy when I dealt with North Star Ford some time ago. I purchased my vehicle trusting the salesperson and manager that there would was nothing wrong with it. I paid 1,000 of my own money for freight to have it delivered out-of-province. My bill of sale specifically says "We will honour any cost the customer may incur during time of out-of-province inspection in order to get vehicle to code". When it was finally inspected, the tires didn't pass inspection as they were cracking, there was no tirejack kit (should come with every vehicle!), and the driver's side mirror defrost was broken. When I mentioned to the salesperson that the tires failed she had the audacity to tell me that they would have to make me send the vehicle back on my time because they would rather cancel the sale than honour their contract. I figured at that cost, I'd rather just buy the tires myself then lose that money sending it back. When I mentioned the missing tirejack kit, I was told by the sales manager to buy one in my own city and they would reimburse the cost. However, he quickly ghosted me after I purchased the kit. Never emailed me back, never answered my 10+ calls (his receptionist was screening his calls and say he was in meetings every time). The side mirror defrost was apparently something they didn't believe they should cover either. All in all, if you'd like to feel like they really care about you during the sale, but treat you like utter garbage for the after-sale this is probably the place for you. They've clearly mastered the trade of ignoring customers and I would not recommend anybody deal with these guys ever because they lost my trust the moment they received my money.

OMG WOW, they had me walking out of there speechless and wanting more! She brought in her manager, and this man has closed a deal or 10000 in his career… That’s what everyone should aspire to say when purchasing a vehicule. Folks, the experience they provided us is what costumer service should feel like! In the last couple years, my family and I have walked in or called car dealers well over 20 times, each time seeking either used or new. Needless to say that more times than not the experience wasn’t all that too pleasant. Matter a fact, in April we bought a brand new Toyota Corolla of the year and I we can 110% say that the agent we dealt with was actually the worst to make the cut. It was a rushed decision in an emergency situation, and he took advantage. Kristan and Danny not only took the time to first hear our real reasons as to why buy a truck, but proceeded to keep finding better deals being the resourceful woman she is. So far due to the current state of our finances and the economy as a whole we felt like now isn’t the best time to proceed with such a commitment. Kristan has vowed to keep me posted if she comes across anything we may be interested, which we are as we feel like she may sell us our next truck. A Raptor, potentially????????? We might keep you posted…

Before 2016 great service a little Pricey but good service since then terrible customer service very expensive and do not trust them regarding the service package that they sell you when you buy a new vehicle they say they change certain oils like the transmission oil or differential oil but trust me very seldom they do I’ve busted them twice now with my friend vehicles Ford supposed to change certain oils and I’d check it for them and guess what nope still original oil so don’t waste your money on the service package they try and sell you

Never had better service in my life and will definitely be looking again in the new year for a bronco for myself! Worth the drive from Calgary.
These guys have their heads so far into the clouds its remarkable. Avoid the Flex Plan as that's where they'll rip you most. I gave them a few grand and they didn't even put it all where it was supposed to go, which was confirmed by Ford Credit. Thanks for the awkward conversation guys. I also heard there's a fund going around town to get that clown haired owner guy off the radio too! Hopefully they raise enough money to shut him off for good!

I searched all over Alberta for a truck that met my specifications. I live in Edmonton so I had visited several dealerships here with disappointing results. It seemed as though I was going to have to raise my budget thousands of dollars or settle for something really awful. I was starting to lose faith that I would ever find a truck I liked. When I found a perfect truck for myself within my budget it seemed a little too good to be true. I went through everything with a fine toothed comb and asked a lot of questions to try to figure out what the catch was. I was told about the only issue with the truck up front. They were prompt in their communication and there was no pressure at all other than being told somebody else was interested. I was definitely not surprised that someone else was interested because it was a really good truck and the ad had many views on Kijiji. I was bracing for something to go wrong because there has always been a catch with other dealerships I've dealt with. So far I haven't had any surprises. I am suspicious of all car dealerships but they did not let me down. Even after the purchase was made they were prompt in communication since I had to write about a couple of things. I hope everybody they sell to can have a similar experience and will be happy with their purchase because it sure does feel nice. I dealt with Wassim in sales and Bryan in finance. The delivery people were really nice too and the price is pretty reasonable to ship to Edmonton considering I saved money by buying it in Fort McMurray.

I think the most genuine compliment is proven by being a repeat customer and I have purchased 5 vehicles for my small business with them and referred dozens of friends. From dealing with all the details of a factory order all the way down to just helping out with getting my vehicle serviced Destiny has been awesome. The whole team is great as well. Terrible service and communication!!! I've had trouble with my brand new vehicle since I've bought it to the point I feel it's no longer safe to drive and want to return it, management can't even return a phone call and lie about reporting issues to Lincoln, I had to start a claim myself!!! Wish we had some competition in town to put these guys under pressure to preform!

I had the same experience as one of the customers who left a review here couple weeks ago. Went to service desk and the lady told me to pull in the bay as someone is available to look at the brakes. Pulled in and the guy (who looked like he does not want to be there) told me to come back another time or go to Greogoire. I drove off. About 10 minutes after, I called the service desk to express my frustration and they asked me to come back. Pathetic service; typical mediocre service that you would expect in Fort McMurray. Businesses survive here mainly due to a lack of competition. Plus, Ford won't even provide me with a loaner when my vehicle is in service. Bought the truck brand new and it's already having issues.
Some times they are great I think the owner has high standards. He was appalled when he seen me holding my dirty plate waiting for my new truck to be brought around. I appreciated that. Upper management felt that when a customer buys a $90,000 truck. That the customer shouldn’t have to put the plate on himself. Unfortunately there sometimes is a erosion of customer service. And I’m getting it more and more. These mud flaps that came on my new truck some of the screws have corroded, possibly from a different alloy of stainless used. They have told me this is normal to have most but not all the screws to instantly corrode and that it washes off. I personally don’t think this is great customer service. But I have asked numerous times for the paperwork on the mud flaps that they installed so I can further investigate the issue with the manufacturer and order replacement screws myself. But I’m getting nowhere. And that’s where I think I’m getting terrible customer service it’s one thing to give me a line of BS and not help me but a completely other to just leave me hanging and not even help me help myself
I made an appointment on Nov.6th for Nov.10th to have the door handle on a 2011 Ford Fusion replaced. When I went to drop the vehicle off on the night of the 8th. They told me it would be $220 to diagnose the problem? The problem was a broken door latch. Which both parties were aware of on the 6th. They then said they didn't have the part and due to the holiday were unsure when it would arrive. Is this the type of service that costs $220 hr ?
I have purchased 2 vehicles from Northstar and Danny spends extra time to ensure you understand all of your options. I will continue to recommend Northstar and Danny to all my friends who are in the market for a new vehicle.

My mom bought a Ford Escape from here. Only thing she wanted out of the deal was winter tires at cost. They agreed. Now the deal is done and she goes to order tires and come to find out it’s not at the store cost but the sales departments cost which is less than 10 percent discount maybe. Still the most expensive quote in town. Just be honest dealer everything comes out in the end. You have now lost 3 people that will go but somewhere else now

Last week my parter, newborn baby and I went to North Star ford at the bottom of confed to look at purchasing a new explorer. We were there for 3 hours, seen two vehicles. Test drove one. In that amount of time the sales lady left us about 5 times, we didn’t get any numbers for the vehicle we were interested in. We went looking for her three times and she was in the back office talking to other workers. Not once did she tell us where or what she was leaving the office for. Our new born started to get fussy and we had to leave without any knowledge. I’m sure there are other great sales persons but this experience really made us feel unwanted, we really wanted to buy local but after this terrible experience we will most likely go out of town.
This is our fourth purchase from Northstar Ford and we cannot say enough good things about the service. We always purchase the maintenance package and the service is the best. We have never gotten good service like this elsewhere. Nicole Robinson was our sales consultant and she was amazing. She listened to what we wanted, helped us look at various models and compare prices. She was very patient and helped us find the perfect vehicle for our family.

I use to think that this was the best dealership! Everyone was easy to deal with and always eager to provide the best service. Fast forward to whenever the new “management” has taken over and clearly it’s all gone down hill from there. My boyfriend recently took our truck in for an oil change and decided to check out the new trucks while he was there. While hesitant because we only had a year left to pay and we own ours, they offered him a deal we just couldn’t refuse! Lower biweekly payments, a brand new truck and a large sum of money. He came home that day and we just said well if it gets approved cool if not, whatever we almost own our truck anyway. Someone calls us back a couple hours later and says looks good will call you back Monday! Monday comes and they call and say yeah we’re good to go. He goes down and the deal has “changed” the payments are a little higher but the term changed from 5 years to 4 years! All well and good, half way through signing the papers he hears the word LEASE. At no point in this exchange had he ever said I’m looking to “lease” a vehicle! Furthermore we would NEVER lease a vehicle especially so close to owning our current truck.. he comes home furious and they call us back to offer a measly $500 to the cash we were offered! This whole time we think we’re about to buy a new truck we’ve got our old truck ready to go and to make the best of it we WAITED until they said yes it’s approved to tell our kids about the new truck... So now everyone’s disappointed and frustrated and all they have to offer is reasons why we should lease a new truck because if something happens to ours it’s no longer under warranty and we will have to pay out of pocket. Apparently EVERYONE is leasing vehicles today Sorry bud, not us. We may be young but we are far from stupid.

I have had a terrible experience with this dealership. Before I bought the vehicle you were sooo very persistent but now I am being ignored my multiple members of your team. All I need is a resolution to a problem that only exists because you LIED to me about the vehicle. I am not asking for favours, I'm asking you to honour what you repeatedly told me just to get a sale. So no, I do not recommend this place. Terrible customer service. How can they improve? By answering my email and messages, firstly. Then stop lying to people about the condition of the used vehicles you sell.

I have always heard positive reviews about North Star Ford from my family members but have never been there myself until this past weekend. As soon as my uncle, my boyfriend, and I walked through the door there was somebody there to greet us right away and to talk to us about what we were looking for. Danny talked to us for hours about the ford fusion (which we purchased) and answered all the questions we had. We had a great experience and great customer service. I would recommend this dealership to anybody! If I decide to get another vehicle it will definitely be purchased here!

Only a handful of people in my life for the last 4 years truly know how hard its been for me. But today its all over, no more missing meals to afford a vehicle i dont wanna be in. No more not being able to go out and celebrate life cause i cant afford to hang out with my friends and do fun things. I owe everything to Nigel thomas for the opportunity he has given me. After 5 minutes of talking to him i let out the biggest sigh of relief, he was able to get my out of the 1030 monthly payments in a truck i did not want to drive or be in. Negative experience! Was recently looking for a new vehicle to purchase, also would have expected outstanding customer service considering COVID; however when I met with the online sales manager, he provided me 3 different prices for the same vehicle, used high pressure sales tactics to make me jump at the offer, and refused to answer a few short questions over the phone. For an experience purchase, and COVID likely taking toll on employees paycheques, I was shocked by how terrible the customer service was. I was approached as if I were buying a $5 t-shirt, not a $23,000 vehicle.
Just came out of there, looked around at every model on the floor, nobody acknowledged me, guess they dont need commission this time of year?

Dont waste your time. Great service when your buying a vehicle, after that not so much. Had a weird noise coming from my truck so I made an appointment to get it looked at and get an oil change at the same time. I dropped my truck off in the morning, at a specific time and they kept it the whole day. Apparently an oil change and replacing a bracket requires a full day I guess. Brought it in again to get a recall dealt with, again made an appointment and was told it should be done by 1230, my fiance showed up at 130 and the truck wasnt even in the garage. Now my heater stopped working, its -40 outside and apparently I cant get it fixed for another 10 days. So I have no vehicle now, thanks for the effort ford !

Purchased my brand new truck from Northstar. I wanted to get mud flaps installed. I ordered them, and when they came in I was told after a day of having the vehicle it would need brackets. I told them to order them in and install it. Then they call the next day and say the mud flaps that parts ordered don't fit. It's a 2017 Ford F-150. How do you not have the parts or skills to know how to install mud flaps. They told me they could get the right mud flaps in 2-3 days... My vehicle sat with them for 3 days for mud flaps and eventually I told them to stop all service and would get it done elsewhere. Luckily I heard 2 other people in line asking for mud flaps and I was able to educate them to get it done elsewhere.
This place is a joke. My vehicle has had an electrical problem for months now and it keeps dieing but all they do is hook a computer up to it, call it done and call me that night saying its good to be picked up without actually fixing anything. Its left me standed on the side of the road so much and so often that i do what i can to not drive it anymore. Guess warranty means "dont touch a thing". Its pathetic.

Worst service ever!!! I tried to make appointments for oil changes and tire rotations as I live outside Fort McMurray and they tell me that they don't do scheduled appointments and to come at 7 in the morning so it would be quicker. I show up at 7 in the morning and suddenly all they do is scheduled appointments. WOW!!! Very poor professional skills and customer satisfaction. If you can't provide the service properly, get the hell outta here. Pay 70 thousand dollars for something you'll never truly get. Worst customer service i've ever seen and I will just pay for my own oil changes a service I paid for through Ford and I can't even get the service. Absolutely disgusted with Northstar Ford.
