Defunct

I have F650 (2018) hydraulic truck still under manufacturer warranty. I bought out this truck from this dealer in last December. The engine emergency light shows up and plus I need to renew the safety sticker, so I made an appointment for service, this is the first time I do service from this dealer. The safety sticker cost was told on the phone is CAD 380 before I made an appointment. Finally I have to pay $576 to get sticker plus extra 1123.96 labour and parts total cost $1699 before tax ( labour & 1446.70 n parts $243.26). When I paid off the invoices and I find the truck engine emergence light was still showing on, I asked service agent Tanya why this problem is not fixed, this is the most important issue has not been fixed but she has never told me on the phone and she sent email the trucker was ready for pick up. I was so upset and ask her why the problem is not fixed yet, she seems very unhappy since I am questioning her why, finally she got a service supervisor Stan, but he just repeat the trucker was fine but do not know why the emergency light still on. I told Stan the trucker is under warranty, the emergency light is on means something must be wrong and the dealer will have to fix this problem for no reason. He did not explain me too much why this problem can not fixed, just told me he will have to check again and test out, I will have to come back again for check it out. This is really bad service what I have never had from other dealer. I have no confidence for this dealer for the 2nd visit.

Very friendly dealership. Have been in the neighborhood for years. Recent renovation includes a drive in service with no appointment. Andre is the Service Manager, does a great job with his personnel. I've been coming to this dealership for over a decade. Pam was my service adviser for many of those years until she advanced into a different role. She is still involved with the service advisers. Patrick takes care of our vehicles when we bring them in, including a non Ford vehicle. They have several shuttle drivers to pick you up and drop you off. Upto date waiting area with wifi and free coffee. Very spacious. Great job Thorncrest Ford Service Team!!!

This was an amazing experience! Walking in, there are gloves and masks offered on a table with hand sanitizer. The doors are automatic and the place is absolutely spotless. Barbara helped me out so much, got me a great deal on a beautiful car and helped me sort everything out as this was my first car ever... I was speaking with Vijay yesterday about the trade in value of my car. I was quoted about 30% of it's actual value. When I told Vijay that I wouldn't be trading in my car he told me I didn't need to use a tone with him. I'm still not sure what he was referring to. I ended the conversation with him. 2 minutes later he sends me a text message. He said "super unfortunate to speak with rude customers like yourself Dana. Best of luck with your fiesta" 100% lost my business. I won't be buying a new car from them and I won't be taking my car there for service anymore.

I am very pleased with Dealer ThornCrest, not only for the excellent purchase but for the transparency and agility with which the deal was made. The Customer Service was a differential that surely loyal to any customer. Mainly by the Saleswoman (Barbara Rudzki), for the personal and dedicated service, sparing no efforts to make the customer satisfied and thereby winning a customer and a friend. The process and speed in negotiating is a differential compared to other Dealers, so much so that I went to other dealerships to see other options, but ended up coming back due to the treatment I had in the store to close business and leave with my new vehicle, having been fully satisfied in all aspects. If you can put the above testimonial on the site I think it can serve as a parameter for someone who doesn't know Thorncrest yet, feel comfortable knowing the store in person and make a great deal.

I've been waiting months for this repair. A few days in advance I called and asked them if I'm still set for my appointment, they had no clue about it. They were willing to do the work, however. I asked them if I could get a shuttle back home since this would be an all day job, they said it wouldn't be a problem. When I arrived they said they had no shuttles because of covid. I understand why they don't have shuttles, I'm just saying they should have told me before I stranded myself there. Always get bad customer service at this place, they are WAY too paranoid about the covid thing. Other Ford dealerships are MUCH better than this one. Stay away. Run by incompetent people. Update: They called me and told me that they ordered the wrong part, even though I repeatedly told them which part I needed and I only had this one day to get the repair done. I called multiple times to confirm, and they still messed up. AVOID THIS PLACE!

I have been to this dealer for almost two years ever since I had my Mustang. I regret to say my recent experience is way below expectation. I came in with transmission issue. The rep told me is electric issue without even checking my car and told me to come back in two weeks for an appointment. I trusted them and didn't know any better. Two weeks later, they told me it's a transmission line leak. I was basically driving without transmission fluid for two weeks. Terry offered no apology and not agree to fix if there is any internal damage. Worst of all, I asked for a loaner car since my car has to stay there for two days while they wait to get the parts and fix it. He lied to me in email that Ford dealership doesn't provide loaner car. I found out when I picked up my car that they actually do provide loaner cars. I am very disappointed with my experience. I hope you all watch and have better luck than me.

Leased a Ford Explorer. Great sales service but once you need the service department beware! After fixing an electrical part issue with the trunk at their service department, a week later all electrical/battery seems to be an issue and I was stranded 4 x in a week as the car would not start. Although I pay for lease, they would not service the car for two weeks (cant drive it anywhere) and refused to provide us with another car while we wait for them to fix the lease we pay for. Awful service and lack of customer service.

I recently leased a new Ford Escape from this location. As a newcomer to Canada, I was having problems finding dealerships who wanted to work with me. I visited a few where I felt disrespected and undervalued as a customer. I had almost given up hope until I decided to give Ford a try after one of my many bad bus encounters. I was connected to Vijay and from the first phone call he gave me hope that I could get a vehicle. I had plenty of questions, but he was very patient. He was never pushy and truly listened to what I needed in my car. When I told him that I didn't need all the fancy features, he didn't try to convince me of why I should get it. He simply listened and got me exactly what I wanted. In the end, I got a great car within my budget. I was approved and received my car in just a matter of three days. My wife and I have now had the pleasure of dealing with Vijay 3 times through various leases for our vehicles. Every single experience has been better than the previous. When one of our leases on our Escape was coming to an end in December 2020, Vijay contacted us very long before the end of the lease to see how everything was going and to help us lay out our options for our next vehicle as we already informed him we would be looking for an F-150. He warned us of the limited stock in general going on in the car industry due to COVID-19 which led us to start thinking about what we wanted to do sooner rather than later. Vijay's proactiveness of contacting us early allowed us to order a new truck to the exact specifications that we wanted so it would get to the dealership in a close timeframe to the end of our lease. We could not be happier with how everything turned out! Vijay went above to ensure everything fit our needs and is NEVER pushy like many other car salesman. He makes the experience so enjoyable to the point where we drive an hour to get our vehicles from him even when there is a Ford dealership 5 minutes from our home. Vijay has also contacted me a few days after getting my new truck to ensure that everything has been okay and if there is anything else he could do for us. I recently purchased aftermarket brake pads and rotors for my 2010 f150 and they wore out a lot quicker than usual, I came into the dealership on Saturday for pricing and information, I was speaking with Graham and he gave me a better price than I was initially quoted and also told me about what brands to stay away from if I still wanted to purchase the parts aftermarket. Their sales department and other departments I have spoken with are nice but Horrible service at part location. I bought my mustang from them. My car check engine light was on. First repaired no charge cover under warrant, after 3 month Second repair for same reason and no charge but for third time it is the same reason again and this was charged and not covered under warranty. How come it was covered under first two times and third time I had to pay for it. They also worked on my quarter glass mirror without me authorizing them. I spoke with specialist and he forwarded my case to his manager. I left theee voice mail to managers and I have no response from him. I was charged 150 for quarter glass and 115 to check engine light. I’m not coming back to this location after this.

Will never go back here again. Dropped off my gf for an oil change; she has 20k on her car and they told her she needs all new brakes and rotors. They didn't give a vacuum or car wash and when she inquired she was told she could look at the detailing packages and pay as they apparently don't do car washes or a light vacuum with the service of an oil change... my dealership always does a full wash, vacuum of front and rear floor and when they are not busy they even clean and shine my dash and tires........ Told some of my friends about this poor service and funny enough my other friend bought her car here and the transmission blew within 10k and had gone back several times to have the dealership completely refuse to address the problem.

Though the initial sales experience with our 2015 Ford Edge Sport was quite good, I have to comment on the service department at Thorncrest Ford. I do not understand how this place stays afloat. The communication within the department and to me was almost non existent and on top of this my vehicle is in worse shape now than prior to me bringing it in for warranty repair. After 7 days and 2 attempts, the issues present were not fixed, I was never given an explanation or any paperwork - I was just called 15 minutes before they closed to let me know the vehicle was ready. It was not fixed, though I can see attempts were made because the light covered head liner has dark greasy hand prints all over it. Literally over the entire headliner. Great. I'm going to try another dealer and hopefully they are a little more skilled in repairing their vehicles and their customer service. I can assure everyone reading this is not an isolated incident, because I've had similar experiences in the past with different vehicles. Back in 2014, I was quoted $500 for brake replacement on my 2011 F150 - after paying $750, I noticed smoke coming from the right front wheel . I got out to have a look, and it was obvious there was an issue with the brake installation. I took the vehicle back, but the service advisor did not even want to have a look - he said it was cold and snowy out. I was heading on a 700 km (each way) road trip so I was a bit concerned. Once I got to my destination, I could easily see there was something wrong so I took my vehicle into the local Ford dealer in Sault Ste. Marie where they informed me the brake pads were installed backwards and the calipers were never serviced. I paid this dealer to repair the mistake and to Thorncrest Ford's credit, they did re imburse me for that repair but never once admitted to a mistake and never apologized for the headache they caused. I have been a Ford owner since 1993, in fact my father was a 40 year employee at the Ford plant in Oakville. This was part of the reason for purchasing this vehicle, but I will honestly and wholeheartedly admit that I regret ever walking into this dealership. I would recommend at ALL COSTS to AVOID this place and drive a little bit farther to the next dealer. They claim to be the best in Etobicoke according to Reader's choice awards but that's only because they are only dealer left in Etobicoke. Anyways,

Thorncrest Ford has consistently provided amazing customer service. Their entire staff (from the service receptionist to the mechanics) are extremely knowledgeable and respectful. As someone who has limited knowledge of cars, it's always tough to find a mechanic who is honest and trustworthy. After a slew of bad experiences with independent dealerships, I was lucky to stumble upon Thorncrest Ford. They do a fantastic job with answering my questions and explaining all the work that needs to be completed on my car. Working with George and his team has been an absolute pleasure. To whom may be concern, I want to mention that I came at this location “Thorncrest” for three years and this is my second car, a Ford Explorer. I received a notification a few days ago, a service reminder, that I can drive up at the door and I was happy because it was the good moment for service. I came around 11 :10 am and I checked if it was possible to have an oil change. I was received by a lady and she told me to talk with the assistance service person. Then, I was received by an young gentleman who told me that it was possible and to wait a few minutes because some of the registration persons was in a meeting. The car was ready for service and 5 minutes after, another person came to ask me my phone number and if I was here before. Shortly after that I was told that people needed to go for lunch and the oil change would be done after 1:00 pm anyway and I would better come later or another day. I did argue with him and I said that I would schedule for another day. Even if it was true you don’t say that and not even apologize. I come at this location for 3 years, even on the most busy moments and they never told me that. They always told me to take a coffee to stay in the waiting room because it would be longer then normal but at end everything was good. Shortly after the service they used to ask me for a feedback and I always give 5 stars ⭐️, so disappointing. I work in the customer service industry as well, for more then 15 years and I will never tell my customers such thing. This is old fashioned customer skill and too bad for the person who hired you because she'll or he'll be deceived by your hypocrisy.

Just wow. I have had a long-held distrust of dealers, but that has gone away, after taking my F150 to this dealer. It had sat for months, so I asked the mechanic to check it all out, as well as fix a known 4x4 issue that another mechanic tried twice to figure out and couldn't. The 4x4 turned out to be a $40 part and a bit of labour only. Found the problem pronto too.The startup issue turned out to only be a bad battery, instead of a blown alternator. They were honest about that. He found a few other things, but I know he didn't take advantage of a blank cheque, so to speak, and a girl who owns a pickup truck. I dealt with Tanya and, boy, does she have great customer service skills. Such friendly, effortless, steady communication. I was blown away by her. My truck is running beautifully. I was so grateful to have had such a positive experience at this dealer, during these less-than-positive times!

We all know that servicing your car can be a Stressful and in many cases Expensive experience, sometimes expected and sometimes unexpected! It sure makes it so much more Satisfying when your Service Advisor works with you and more so, "For Your Best Interests"! I have had my 2012 Ford Edge into Thorncrest a number of times in a short period, some expected and some unexpected. My Service advisor was, and will continue to be, Ryan Hannan. Ryan went "Above and Beyond" to get me the very Best he could for the problems that I was having. Note: my car is by no means New, it has 148,000 kilometers on it. Maintenance is not free, we should all know that. Ryan found an Extended warranty that he applied and also worked out a Rental Loaner for me, plus he credited the previous work that had been done to correct the problem, which it could not do. When we leave our cars in the hands of the Service department we are really leaving them our wallets. When the Service Advisor works for you the way Ryan has done for me it makes the entire experience so much more satisfying. I don't know how this dealership hires receptionists. Called to resolve an outstanding issue regarding a deceased client of theirs and was given the runaround to irrelevant Ford headoffice when the client has been their customer since the 70s. Called back, asked to speak with the GM and was transferred to an invalid voicemail, had to call back 5 times to just leave a message at the proper desk. No compassion, no empathy, no class, no professionalism. The MALE receptionist had the worst customer service attitude I have ever encountered anywhere and extremely dismissive, argumentative and confrontational. THINK TWICE!! Many better dealership out there or even just 5km away.

I have been a loyal customer of the Ford service department for 7 years. It seems that every time I bring my vehicle in, someone screws up. They either don't know what they're talking about, or don't do the work that is agreed upon, forcing me to come back another day. My experiences have been so frustrating time after time, that even though I have decided that my next vehicle should be an Explorer, I don't want to get another Ford; no more visits to Thorncrest Ford service department would make my life somuch easier! At one time I had a question about a fan in the back of my SUV, it didn't seem to be blowing air out. Three visits later, with suggestions that I visit an outsourced body shop, and that all the moulding in the back had to be pulled off to investigate, someone finally told me that everything was working as it should - the fan sucked air in for circulation, it didn't blow air out! Nobody in the service department knew this! Most recently I was to have brake work done, but was unable to pick the car up before the service department closed. The service technician arranged a loaner car for me, to be dropped off at my place of work. Much to my surprise, I found my own car waiting for me in the lot-no work had been done, so now I have to scramble around another day to get the work done. Same old story. Too bad, place looks good, and staff is friendly.

If you like dropping your car off and having nothing fixed..this is the place for you..if they tell you 15minutes it really means 2 hours. So if you like waiting then this place is for you....if you need parts for your car..they will forget about it ...so this place is for you.....if you enjoy having your wife discriminated against because she is female...then once again this place is for you. 1.7 out of 5 for a reason people. After they ran a diagnostic, they told us that there was nothing they could do to fix the fault and that the Ford recommendation was to keep driving with the check engine light on!! We had to request that they redo the diagnostic again, as this is unacceptable to tell a customer to drive off with the check engine light on! Vijay even picked me up on the day the car was being delivered. No need to ask a friend or Uber. Bryan was also amazing. No hard sell on the extended warranty or other packages. I’ve been coming to Thorncrest’s service department since about 2010 with various Ford’s I’ve owned over the years...and I have to say this dealer never disappoints. I always have a very pleasant experience here, and the staff is top notch! These folks are very knowledgeable, and my cars always leave the service department running better than new. My last visit to service was with Patrick (advisor)... he was able to squeeze my car in without an appointment and get all my concerns resolved super quick. I was in and out in a couple hours, which seemed impossible given the amount of work that needed to be done. The shop foreman Stan also really took care of me and took the time to listen to and address all of the issues I was having. Also need to give a shout out Mark in the parts department who made my wait time go buy quickly. We discussed at great length a ton of cool options I had available to up-fit my truck with aftermarket accessories. This guy really knows his stuff!! Definitely recommend visiting him if you’re looking for truck accessories. Another great visit to Thorncrest. Highly recommend. And if you get a chance to visit the parts department, tell Bob at the counter a funny joke - his laugh is contagious.

Two visits - both with appointments 10-14 days in advance. Car dropped on time - and 4-6 hours after the appointment time, the car had ‘not been taken in yet’. Their excuse - “we had a backlog from yesterday”... then why not reschedule instead of chasing me to confirm that I’m coming in! No respect for anyone’s time. Finally gave up and took my car back without it getting looked at. Unfortunately, I had a very poor customer experience here with the service department. I was having brake issues and called Thorncrest on Monday July 20. An appointment was booked on July 28, so it took 6 business days to get a slot. I actually dropped off the vehicle on the evening of Monday July 27. On the 28th, in the morning, Tanya the customer service manager sent me a text that she would be “taking care of your vehicle today”. She also left her contact information. After 12pm, I still haven’t heard from Thorncrest, so I call the number Tanya gave to me, but the automated voice says the service department is busy, so I decided to text Tanya. She replies that they haven’t looked at the car yet. I’m already beginning to think that the car won’t be ready today. At 4pm, still no update so I text Tanya again. She indicated that they still haven’t looked at it. As indicated earlier, I waited six days to book the appointment and now they haven’t even got to look at my car. To her credit, Tanya offers me a rental car and she apologizes for the delay. I decline the rental thinking I will get the car mid-day on Wednesday. On Wednesday at 1030am, I still haven’t heard from Thorncrest. I text Tanya and she says that they are just about to look at my car. At 1130 Tanya texts me and tells me the car needs a brake booster, but the necessary part won’t be delivered until tomorrow. So now that’s 2 days in the dealership and I’m regretting not initially taking the rental car offer. On Thursday morning Tanya texts me and says the car is ready for pick-up. I arrive around 1230pm. I’m teaching my daughter to drive, so she drives the car out of the lot. I ask her how the car feels, and she says that the brakes are very sensitive. She’s says that the car stops even though she has not applied the brakes, she’s just taking her foot off the accelerator. After a couple of kilometers, I start to smell burning rubber. Also, as the windows were open, I can really hear the engine revving even though we’re not going that fast at all. We pull over and I take over. The engine is really revving, and the burning rubber smell is getting stronger. I’m not that technical but I believe the brakes were being applied and I was driving through it. I pull over again and text Tanya to call me. She texts me back. I call the service line and with persistence say I need to speak to Tanya. Tanya says to drive in so the technician can look at it. I ask for a tow as I’m worried about the car. She communicates that technician does not believe the drive back will do any damage. Really? So I guess an engine revving heavily even though we’re only going 20km/hr is in the realm of normal. Same for burning rubber smell – not doing any damage. I do drive back as I can’t afford the tow. I am nervous. When I get back and park the car, the valet comes, and he can’t move the car at all. Tanya doesn’t know what to do so she offers me another rental. I say yes. However, during this time, the technician came out personally to look at the car and he adjusts the brake pedal. That seems to do the trick. So Tanya cancels the car rental. I was trying to explain to Tanya my concern about doing further damage to the car on the drive, but she doesn’t seem to get it, she’s just taking the technician’s advice. Isn’t he the one who messed up? Why would I believe him? Maybe the technician was right, and I only did minimal damage. But I had a lot of anxiety and frustration because of Thorncrest’s poor service. I do believe Tanya tried to help. I’m not blaming her for the delay and the screw-up. That’s the fault of the technician and/or the management. However, she should have looked at the whole situation – I was delayed two days, and I was frustrated/scared by an incomplete repair. How about offering a complimentary car wash or oil change? Maybe she doesn’t have the authority to do so. I am afraid I can’t recommend Thorncrest.

Even though we were not spending a lot of money ,we were still treated extremely well. The manager Carlos Mendes could not have been nicer and more fair to deal with. Worst vehicle ever. Transmission worked on many times and replaced several times and still intermittent issue. And off course you get charged for parts going into it but it does not correct the issue and you wonder why are you paying for repairs out of your pocket but the issue still remains. Worst yet. I bring my vehicle in to have the turbo completely replaced under warranty for the second time in about 4 months and now I have a new issue that I have to pay for. Apparently my battery leaked the acid all over and damaged things so now they tell me that it is going to cost me over a $1000 to replace the battery and the damaged parts. I asked if I get the parts and battery changed and it happens again is the issue under warranty. They said yes for 2 years. Than I informed them that they changed the battery in the fall already. But they looked into it a and I still have to pay for everything as I never paid for the new battery to be put in. So apparently their defective battery they put into my vehicle without even discussing it wth me is my problem. Now isn't that the worst thing you have ever heard of as an excuse to take my money. And you wonder why people complain about Ford and their terrible customer service.

Horrible customer service. Had a problem with the passenger AC. All other AC worked fine (driver and rear zone). Booked my car in over a week in advance. Left my car there all day and had to use a rental for work. I made it clear that I would need to pick up the car at the end of the day because I needed it the next day to go away for the weekend. They said they would call or text at around 12 with an update. They called at 5:10 with a list of things that needed to be done. Of course, I had questions, but all of the service techs had gone home for the day. I booked it in over a week in advance, they had my car all day, and all they did was look at it, and I'm not convinced they even did that well. This is my second horrible experience here, and I won't be back

I worked with Vijay at Thorncrest Ford to purchase a 2013 Acura that was on their lot. From when I first walked in and inquired about the vehicle, Vijay was very open with me about how the vehicle came to be in their possession, and what their expectations were. He was honest about the work that was done on the car, and what still needed to be done. He took the extra effort to identify those issues, and ensure that they were fixed by the shop before we took the car home. I gave him our price point based on all of that, and we were able to find an amount that worked for both of us. Vijay even took the extra time to assist us with registering our vehicle and ensuring that all the documentation was properly arranged, at the dealership's own cost. I followed up with him with some questions after the purchase, and he kept himself available to us, long after we drove off. To me, this is what being a good salesperson is all about. Not a very honest or ethical dealership representing the Ford Motor Company. They use the "bait and switch" sales practice to try and capture customers. I responded to an advertisement on Monday for a vehicle and scheduled an appointment to come and view the vehicle on Wednesday at 11 am. I provided them with my cellphone number to call me if they sold the vehicle in the meantime to save me from driving from Kitchener Waterloo. On Wednesday morning I drove an hour and 15 minutes and arrived on time to view the vehicle only to be met by an unprepared salesperson and subsequently told by Antonio the sales representative that it had been sold to another dealership 7 minutes earlier. I complained to the Sales Manager about the issue and he said he was prepared to cancel the other deal if I was prepared to make a deal immediately but was not interested in even looking at my existing Ford vehicle as a trade in. Fine, I will wait for the Rivian vehicles to arrive in Canada and get one of those instead.

Some service advisors are nice. But I had new battery replaced here and it lasted 6 months. And I installed 2 used tires they say they are driven only 30 kilometers but one was in pretty new but the other one was more than half worn. And wheel nuts were tightened too much so it was difficult to take off when I tried to put spare tire.

There are some packages he recommended, but I didnt take, Jim kept his composure. Responsive via email or phone call even after the sale. He look after his client. They have been servicing my mustang for 5 yrs and here I am again for another. Had experience some upsells back in 2016, but now it is jst simple. Had lots of complaint about my mustang, most are false postives - Stan, manager of mechanics(?) took time to explain things to me. One time, one of my rim was scratched, they made some arrangements to ensure I didnt feel betrayed. For general servie Karan was always there to answer me even though I am one of those somewhat irritating customers. Pam, service manager, is present when you need management to resolve concerns. Sales - you won’t feel cheated in a deal. Again do your homework and know what you want and how much you are willing to pay. Service - oil changes, tire rotations, inquries, concerns. Done. Bought my brand new 2018 Ford Ecosport (in 2018) from Jim Zenetos. Jim is a great guy who happened to have sold me a car. He made sure that I was comfortable through the whole process and I still pop upstairs when I go in for an oil change to say 'hi'. The service center has been good to me - I have not required anything but regular maintenance for the most part. I happened to have had a weird 1 in a million issue but it was eventually resolved with a sincere apology (which goes a long way!) As long as Jim is selling Fords, I will not buy one from anyone else but him. As someone who hates the idea of buying a car and dealing with 'salesmen', I would recommend anybody go to Jim to be treated fairly and with respect - you won't regret it.

STAY AWAY from this dealership. Test drove a vehicle just before they closed last night. Was advised to call Barbara after the staff meeting at 10:30 am this morning which I did. Barbara was busy so she had to call me back. While waiting hours for Barbara to get back to me with paperwork and instructions on how and were to send the deposit after advising her I wanted to purchase the vehicle, they sold the vehicle to someone else. When I questioned what had happened I was told first come!!!! Which by the way was me. When I spoke to Carlos the used vehicle manager for an explanation on how this happened, when I had agreed to buy the vehicle and was waiting on someone on their end who totally dropped the ball, he said he had to make a judgement call and he had the signed agreement and the money from the other customer. Carlos and Barbara I guess your word is worth nothing. I went in last night with the intention of purchasing 2 vehicles outright. Really bad way to run a business and I will be telling anyone that will listen that they should certainly go some were else. If you treat a potential new customer that way I can only imagine how you treat your regular customers. Good idea to buy else where.

This dealership was horrible. I needed to repair my seat and horn (due to a manufacturing issue). I made an appointment with the dealership and when I arrived they did not have the available parts for the horn. What a waste of my time. Then, when I left them with my car to repair the seats, they returned my car with damages. They sourced the repairs to an external vendor that did not take appropriate care required or caution. My leather interior was scratched. They acknowledged these issues and promised to order the leather and fix it; however, upon returning, I was informed that this order was never placed and they did not have any notes acknowledging these issues. Now they are telling me they cannot repair my leather seats. Not only was this place a waste of my time but they damaged my car. I truly think this is a poorly owned dealership with poor business ethics.

Beware of Thorncrest Service Department. I went in with a ‘low coolant light’ and nothing else. After 5 days they diagnosed it with needing a NEW ENGINE. The paperwork did not specify the location of a coolant leak. Suggested I don’t drive it so I towed it home while I played out my options. Returned my vehicle to me dead and leaking coolant externally. Back and forth with Management for weeks before they asked me to bring it back in to be looked at again. Long story short, it was misdiagnosed and was fixed. Big difference being quoted $6000 for an engine vs. $600 repair. Thankfully I questioned the diagnosis because I would had been ripped off huge. I had to ask for something in return for the inconvenience of not having a vehicle for 7 WEEKS and I was basically told to choose between a partial refund of the misdiagnoses or 2 oil changes, but not both because they don’t offer compensation. Had to return once again by tow truck because they decided to tack up a broken engine cover that started dragging after a week. Extremely fed up at this point but was intercepted by the foreman when I asked to speak with Andre, the service Manager. Foreman looked me in the face and told me no one ever said I needed a new engine. Terrible quality of work and zero accountability. Finally received my refund, paid for the repairs but declined the oilchanges (bonus!) offered at the end as I will never be returning to Thorncrest. Please be careful when dealing with these people.

We leased a 2015 Ford Escape from Thorncrest Ford about a month ago. We are extremely pleased with our purchase and love driving our new vehicle everyday! We love all the amazing features, how great the vehicle looks and basically everything about it. Ford has really revamped their models and WOW! Our sales consultant, Antonio DeCandia was very easy to deal with and answered all our questions as first time leasers. Honestly speaking, Antonio really made the experience wonderful he was professional, knowledgeable and very approachable. I had a very horrible experience with the service department. Called and asked if my battery was ever replaced there. Was told "No". Went home to double check receipts, and confirmed what I thought - Yes I did in 2017. Concerned I called back (a couple of times) asking to speak to Service manager (You're lucky if service department calls back in general) Finally, a Tanya sent me a text message with "How can I help you?" I replied on the text "I asked for a phone call, not a text." (or something to that affect) She called back and I asked what is her title?, she said warranty specialist. I replied back I really need to speak to a manager, as I have a grave concern with the information I got as it could possibly affect insurance liabilities. She replied "well I'm service manager". I asked her if she can look up the last time I had a battery replacement with them, she confirmed NO. I said not possible, dig deeper. She came back to me and said "Oh yes, you did in 2017 - must be the accounting software switchover." No apology for their/her mistake or empthy from Tanya, even after I exlpained to her that this misinformation caused me a lot of trouble. Tanya remained cold rude and quite bothered, to say the least. Will never use their service department if she is manager there.

My Ford Edge lease is about to expire. I went to get a safety Certificate from another mechanic. He noted that there was transmission leak coming from the trany case. The service advisor Tanya is not pleasant to deal with, she told me multiple times my repair wouldn’t be covered under warranty when it was supposed to be. Ford told them it was covered and they had already made me an invoice that said i’d be paying cash to boot. When she saw it was covered she left us standing there to go talk to her manager about me, leaving me without saying a word. I get that her job is stressful but being told warranty work will cost you multiple times is stressful too. I will avoid dealing with tanya in the future, but everyone else was more then nice and thorncrest is good in many other aspects.

Eg talking down to me because I was a “women getting my car fixed” or feel that I needed to speak with my husband for any decisions that needed to be made. horrible service! have to find new place to get my truck serviced. Paid for oil change and my fluids were never topped up. I left my truck there due to covid issues for 2 weeks. Had water in my glove box and had to pay for them to fix. My Truck is under warranty and not sure how leaving it for a few weeks results in laek but it did. And no customer support other than I need to pay for more service time and materials. I use this horrible dealership due to convincing and I seem to suffer and keep giving them chances. These guys are not professional nor do they have any mgmt to drove results and the business. If I could give a negative score I would.

We brought our SUV in for a simple issue and although it only took an hour of labour to find out nothing was wrong, it took over a day to get our vehicle back. My partner called the dealership many times either unable to get a hold of anyone or unable to get an update. When he went to pick the vehicle up, Tanya was extremely rude. He tried to explain his frustrations and after she offered many excuses her exact words were "I'm sorry you refuse to understand". Tanya should not be working in customer service.

Terrible service department. There Quick-Lane oil change service is non existent. Took my F150 for an oil change and they could not service it because there was no time. It was 4pm. Drove to the next dealership. Then today called ahead to make sure I was okay to come in for an oil change with my Escape. The friendly lady said no problem. As the agent was filling out my details he said the oil change will take just over an hour. I’ve been to multiple dealerships all of which completed a simple oil change within 30-45 mins. There is absolutely nothing “Quick” about Thorncrest Ford’s “Quick-Lane”. Dis-appointed and will not be returning. I do not recommend anyone take there vehicle to the service department here. Plenty of other dealerships that value your time.

This is a review after a month having the new vehicle. Usually whenever you go to a dealership, it's like having a root canal without anaesthesia, well not here! The staff is very very easy to deal with and professional, you won't find pushy salesmen at this dealership. Vijay [our sales guy] helped us out picking the right vehicle and walked us through the whole way, and Tyler assisted on our paper works. I msg'd via the Thorncrest website and got a call back from Barbara Rudzki pretty quickly. We were able to set up a time for me to come a take a look at an F150 that day. I had specifics on the truck I was looking for, in particular the engine size, and Barbara showed me what was available with my requirements, no hassles. Ended up also making a deal that day on the truck. I was happy with the service I received from the folks at Thorncrest, in particular Barbara and Brian. Once the deal was done Barbara went to work to make sure I got the vehicle in a timely fashion. They were adding a bed liner so Barbara kept me up-to-date on the process and I ended up getting the truck one day earlier than anticipated. I was sad to let my Edge go, but excited for the F150. As a note, I had been to other Ford dealerships while looking for a truck, and as a serious buyer, I was quite frankly put off by some of the sales rep elsewhere. In fact, the one in Newmarket just printed stuff off and told me that I shouldn't think long too about it or I'll miss out. What kind of buying experience is that??? That dealership is also 15mins from my house, so I drove the hour+ to Thorncrest and will probably do it again for my next vehicle. I found Barbara to be very professional and never felt rushed. Highly recommend Barbara, certainly worth the drive if you are considering a Ford in and around the GTA.

Overall one of the best experiences. Came in on a Saturday morning for an oil change for my F-150 with no appointment. There was no line or waiting I just drove in and they took my car. The rep went through my account and took the car. It was done in less than an hour I believe. They called me to pick it up and I just drove right out. It was very quick. If I have to quote my wife's rating on work done at Thorncrest Ford, that Rating is (and this is no Jocke): "EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT!!"!. Since 2003, when we bought it, we took our Ford Escape for Service to Thorncrest Ford in Etobicoke, Ontario. Our Ford Escape is has 280000 Kilometers on board and still works like a charm. This week we brought the 2003 Escape for a visit (service) to Thorncrest Ford. We left it over for a tune-up and regular Service. Work was done as expected and in time. I want to Enumerate Great Service Man under the Guidance of the best Foreman Stan Axiotis, Great Service Advisors under the Guidance of Tanya De Mello, Andreas the Service Manger, Jim Zenetos the Sales Man that took 1 hour to present the Escape when we bought it. Thorncrest Ford Service is a Place where you can go with confidence!!!

Back in July I blew a turbo on my 2014 Ford Explorer Sport. It was towed back from cottage country and I had it dropped off at the mechanic. While he was away on vacation I started looking at the cost of the parts to fix it. I went to a number Ford dealerships and also looked online for aftermarket parts from both Canada and US. I was heading home one day and remembered Thorncrest Ford on the Queensway. I stopped into parts and was greeted very cheerfully by Bob Turner who is a parts advisor. We had instant chemistry and he gave me some ballpark numbers without knowing exact details as to which of the twin-turbos it was and what other components that I would require. He told me he would have the parts the next day once I placed the order. As I headed out of the dealership I was looking at the quote and the prices were the best including the online aftermarket stuff. I ordered the parts and he made sure I had everything including hoses that I might not require to get the job done. Like he said the parts were there the next morning and the vehicle got fixed. I go to the cottage for the August long weekend and when I return I blew the other turbo. Once again Bob was great in getting me the parts that were needed to get it fixed. We had a part failure of the first turbo and again Bob to the rescue. I had to do a warranty claim and get new parts and again a fantastic experience. Over almost forty years of driving and dealing with a slew of car dealers and this by far was on the best experiences I’ve had. As stressful and expensive as these repairs were the process in getting the parts that I needed was exceptional. If you drive a Ford and need parts go see Bob Turner he will provide GREAT service and great pricing.
