Bought a new truck, felt like I had just dealt with a sleazy used car dealer. Great GMC truck (love it). Dealership general manager was rude, sales staff all flowery and nice until papers are signed, then you become a zero ... took almost 2 hours to prep the vehicle (clean and put on plates), truck roof (out of sight) was still filthy, grease pencil manufacture marks left on windshield, had to sign a waiver for an outstanding recall notice that they had "forgot" to mention, had to clean out all the leaves from inside grill the next morning. Sales rep called to see how things were going, told of my experience(listed above), have not heard a peep from Wheaton or GMC ever since, I can only assume I will not be getting that customer satisfaction survey from GMC.

I did it myself.... believing I would continue to receive the same level of service that I received while buying 2 brand new vehicles from them.... unfortunately that wasn't my experience. They solicited this review from me otherwise I wouldn't bother writing a second bad review.... but they asked and I obliged.

Very disappointed. They are affiliated with AutoTrader and offered to purchase our truck which we are selling. They convinced us to drive the three hours to see them with the promise of paying our asking price. We knew they would try to knock off a couple thousand because let’s face it, they’re a dealership. But when we got there they offered SIX THOUSAND LESS...unless we wanted to buy a new vehicle. Are you kidding me? What a waste of time and gas money to get there. If you’re looking to sell your vehicle to them, I would suggest looking somewhere else. Or at least now you know what kind of dealers they are. Consider yourself warned. They are not worth the drive.

Had a great experience looking for a new truck at Wheaton GM, Dakota Smith was a pleasure to work with as he wasn't pushy at all and took the time to get to know me on a personal level to better understand my needs in a new vehicle. Although I didn't pull the trigger on the truck I felt inclined to write this review because the service was that good. Will definitely be going to Dakota when I'm ready to make the purchase!

I have changed my rating to a 2 star. I have purchased a Denali from this Dealership and from the moment I signed on the line it has been a nightmare and headache with the staff and customer service presented to myself. I had asked for a couple of items to be included within the purchase as most people do when buying a new vehicle from a dealership, the sales team had continuously said we are working on getting them included. I finally settled for just asking for weathertech mats; after calling, emailing (managers) and going in numerous times I still do not have the correct mats I requested. This was all the start of the headache with the staff and customer service. I have had my vehicle now for 6 weeks and it has been in the shop for warranty repairs that they said they caught during their "155 point inspection" multiple times and every time they only fix half of the repairs. An entire electrical board for the transmission had to be replaced and I was told that I "should" be able to drive it and when I talked to sales team who sold me the vehicle about this they replied with " there is nothing wrong with your transmission, its not like you are driving around with a faulty one." That is exactly what I was doing. As my experience continues to this day and they continue to fix my vehicle, I will not be recommending any of my friends to buy a vehicle here.

I recently took in a very expensive mistake (purchased a second hand car) to these guys. The only reason why their receiving three stars and not 1 is because of Ryan, the service manager. The First Lady I dealt with lacks communication skills and proper customer service etiquette. The price I was quoted upon dropping my vehicle off,to what they actually wanted me to pay was more then double. When I tried to talk to Kelly,she was dismissive and arrogant,and made me feel completely embarrassed that I would even bring my car to them. I was able to work something out by escalating to matter and I was left satisfied. The girl I dealt with when I went to settle my bill was super friendly and amazing to deal with. I will most likely not deal with this dealer again because of one really bad representative, which is unfortunate because everyone else was great

I was looking for a new 3/4 or 1 ton truck and I worked with Frank. He had some good advice on the different types of trucks and actually steered me away from the more expensive ones. He was quick to answer questions and always available on his phone (even on his day off). Best of all he did as I asked. I don't like haggling over car prices so I asked for his best price off the lot, everything included, no hidden charges. I told him I was going to compare his price against a Ford price and maybe some prices at another dealership. I told him I wasn't going to negotiate, that the price he offered was it and I would make my decision in a few days based on that price and then buy a truck. When the quote was ready he was joined by two of his supervisors who were pushy and wanted me to sign that day. Who buys a 60 thousand dollar truck without looking around first. There may have been a misunderstanding between him and his supervisors, but still...I have two young kids who've been waiting for hours for this quote and then they push me to sign then and there. They told me the offer would not be available tomorrow. So I told them to stuff it and walked out. Turns out their offer was a damn good one, the best out of all the three quotes I had gotten up to that point. It also turns out that the "One day offer" was actually still good three days later when I stopped by to pick up my insurance papers that they had kept. A shame really, Frank did good work, but his bosses ruined it and for that reason I bought a full ton truck at another dealership. Frank gets the four stars, his bosses get three for making me a good offer.

Definitely will not recommend!! After about 2years of service taken from this shop, I concluded that the staff are terrible at their job. They always find something broken in my car, order some parts only to inform you at the day of your service appointment that the part they ordered is wrong or missing, or freakin hasn't arrived yet. And when the parts finally arrived, it was not installed properly that i began experiencing the same malfunction as if it was never fixed! labour costs is freakin steep and the waiting time is long to say the least.. i dropped my car 8am and got it back at 5pm for a shifter replacement. They told me it should be a fast job yet i got my car back 5pm. Worse is, they looked puzzled when i asked about my car. As if they had no idea what's going on or had forgotten about me despite asking them about 2-4times earlier that afternoon.

Pretty poor experience here. Like another reviewer, they disregarded my input and did work that I did not ask for and did not do work that I did ask for. They charged me three times as much as they quoted for labour on one item on my invoice. I've left two voicemails with "the fellow" I'm supposed to speak with. I never got a call back. June 2019: I wouldn't have typically considered buying a car from GM because I don't trust American automobile companies, but we were in the market for an electric vehicle (EV) and had heard good reviews on the Chevy Bolt EV. We did end up purchasing the Bolt from this dealership, but only because we really liked the vehicle itself, whereas the customer experience at the dealership was disappointing and extremely slow. I understand dealerships are sales oriented so they will always try to up-sell, but we had asked for a specific model (Bolt LT) which they said they wouldn't have in stock for months, however when I told them the price of the higher end model was too expensive for my budget and was about the leave, all of a sudden the cheaper model was supposed to arrive in 1-2 days. We happily paid our deposit expecting to have our vehicle within the next week, but the car didn't arrive at the dealership for almost a month, and nobody at the dealership was able to provide any helpful information on the arrival time of our car while we waited. The car eventually arrived but it was delivered missing the cover for the charging port. Both the salesperson and finance person continuously changed the financing term length at every step in what seemed like an effort to confuse me or to make the vehicle look less expensive, when I had explicitly asked for them to limit the term to 60 months and that I wanted the financing done monthly (not bi-weekly). Overall, I'm glad I was able to get the EV I wanted, and to get off of fossil fuels, but I wish I had gone to a different GM dealership for the process.

Long review warning Would be a one star if not for the one service advisor that dealt with my vehicle. Visit 1. Went in to see if we could be squeezed in or have an appointment made. This service advisor was quite rude. While explaining the situation. "there isn't I can do for you now. It's 4 o clock." "there isn't anything I can do for you now" she kept repeating in the most condescending tone. Only after I said "I understand there isn't anything you can do now can you make us an appointment?" did she change her tone. I mean come on. Customer service much? That should have been offered first without my bringing it up and without the attitude. Visit 2. On the day of the appointment the next service advisor that dealt with us was amazing. She tried to keep communications open. And she was friendly and apologetic for delays, could have done with an extra update or 2 just to ensure we don't sit idle for too long but the effort definitely showed. But while we were filling paperwork another service advisor rudely interrupted the one dealing with us by asking for the vehicle to be moved in the most unprofessional manner. The friendly service advisor handled the rudeness with flair and politeness. 3rd visit to wrap up our issue. This time there was huge miscommunication. Was told the vehicle would be done by 12. Didn't leave until 230. After one p.m they said 10 minutes a few times despite being asked if they are due it will be ten minutes. My girlfriend mom had cancel an appointment because of this. Also several people who came after my vehicle (which was dropped off at the beginning of the day) came and went with extremely short visits. One even said that their vehicle was being put on rush because they were waiting for an appointment. As if my vehicle was less important. As if the driver had no life and nothing to do but have them shown with extreme clarity that the business my vehicle brought wasn't worth the effort. Nothing like spending 6 hours watching everyone else get pushed ahead of your vehicle for their convenience. I'm the type when treated fairly would be a great return customer. This had been shown to previous dealerships. I returned to give my business again and become loyal. However this service department lost my faith and trust. Once warranty and services that came with the vehicle I own are used up I will not return here and will be sure to recommend skipping them as an option to my friends. Horrible customer service. Only one service advisor was amazing and I'm sorry her light has to be dimmed by such a bad group of coworkers. I'm not good with names or I would mention her name.

Adam Mckenzie was a great sales person - not pushy, but very helpful. We got good value on our trade-in and Wheaton offered a dealer rebate, in addition to government rebates on their EV vehicles. It made it easy to purchase an EV vehicle, which we had been contemplating for a while. Wheaton Chev also sold us a Corvette. We were very happy with their service on that purchase, also.

I had a fantastic experience with Wheaton Chevrolet in Victoria, I highly recommend this excellent company. My truck was long past it's 5 year warranty however when I brought the truck in for a repairs I was assured by my wonderful service adviser Jesse McKee that the work I needed to repair my truck would be covered under a special coverage warranty offered by GM and that there would be no charge to fix the problem. Both Jesse and the Technician called me and texted me throughout the process to keep me informed about the progress of the repairs. When I picked up my truck it had been respectfully cleaned and parked, and as assured my invoice, which thoroughly explained all the work that had been done to my truck, was for $0.00 You know I will be going back there next time my truck needs servicing. Thank you Wheaton Chevrolet, thank you Jesse!

I would like to give my warmest thanks to the staff at this dealership, especially Kelly McWayne (Service Advisor) and those who worked on my car. Right after Christmas I came back to Victoria, and opened my car (after it had sat unopened for two weeks) to find it full of water and mold. My immediate response was that my car was a write-off and unfixable. I gave the dealership a call and they took it the next day. I apparently had one of the worst water leaks they had ever seen, it was leaking in three separate places, and had destroyed the floor on the passenger side. After having my car for one week, I got it back looking brand new on the inside, and it’s a 2006 vehicle. I have never seen it looking so good! The passenger side floor went from two inches of water to looking spotless and clean! They worked a miracle for me – not only are all the leaks fixed, but all the mold and the smell is gone! Kelly was wonderful and kept me updated throughout the entire process, calling me to give me updates after each step in the process was completed. They went above and beyond and saved me from losing my vehicle. I would highly recommend them and their service department to anyone who is looking to get their vehicle serviced! I somehow managed not to take a single photo of what it looked like before, but the following pictures are from the vehicle as it looks now! Thank you again!

I have a 2017 chevy equinox that I bough out of town at another dealership due to me not having a good experience at both locations. I have owned the car for less than 2 years and my battery was totally shot. My car would not start and I had to get it jumped. When I called in to inquire about getting a new battery I was shocked to first hear that they wanted to just sell me a new one, apparently there was no warranty on the battery in the car. Fine, very poor client experience but fine. When asking how long it will take to fix the issue (after scheduling a time) my wife was told to leave it there for a few hours. This should take about an hour (as I completed this my self in that time). I was bounced from department to department for about 30 minutes and, did not get a price for a new battery nor did I get told that there actually is a warranty on my battery. I had a follow up call from this location after wards and explained to the woman on the phone what happened I was told a service manager would call me. Still no call to this day. To top everything off, my wife posted a review outlining the same issues and they took the review down. Go here if you want to be pampered for the few hours during your sales experience. DONT COME HERE FOR ANY SERVICES! They are just out to take your money.

Went for a service to my car. Service staff were unfriendly bordering on rude. They are NOT doing me a favour by allowing me to bring my car to be serviced. I am doing them a favour by going there. But their dealership is so large that individual customers don't matter. There is always another one coming along. After two hours of waiting for the car we inquired only to find out that it had not even been looked at. No one had told us when we made the appointment that we should be prepared to leave the car all day. We took our car and left. Will definitely NEVER go there again.

I have always had great service at Wheaton and was disgusted by my service person this morning. I will say that the Arrival process is quick and efficient. A pleasant young woman came out and greeted me instantly and thanked me for waiting. I was seen within 5 minutes of my appointment time. I was going to be renting a vehicle and had booked it ahead of time. I am aware that Wheaton uses a third party but I asked my technician Linda, if she could potentially answer a question about the rental process. This woman was so rude and dismissive I was embarrassed. I’ve never had someone speak to me in such a disrespectful manner. She snapped that they are a separate company and her exact words were that she “isn’t going to make a promise and then god forbid it doesn’t turn out the way you want. You have to speak to THEM”. I am friendly and kind and we have purchased numerous vehicles from this dealer over 30 years. We get them serviced by this dealer. I frankly don’t know that I’ll go back. This woman may have been having a bad day, but it was only 0830……. I pity the next customers who had a question. If this employee is greeting customers I suggest She do better.

We had a horrible experience. We went on the lot to look at some trucks. Had a very pushy sales person and a horrible sales manager. They continued to call and text us asking if we were interested in a truck. After telling them no and to please stop contacting us. They continued to contact us. 6 months later we received another call from a new sales person asking if we were still looking at buying a new truck. This was the last straw and the reason I am writing this reveiws. DO NOT GO HERE! Unless you want pushy and harassing sales people to contact you constantly.

Well apparently when you spend 5 grand here you get treated like royalty. We were so happy with the customer service when we got a brand new transmission and other work done that I had meant to bring her a coffee card and mug but never got around to it. Well a few months later I am darn happy that I didnt!! I had to bring my van back in because my oil change guy said it was leaking oil from the back where we just had work done. So I made an appointment to bring it in. And when I arrived friday morning she right off the bat put into the notes that the problem wasn't from their repair ( how can she know that when they haven't even looked under my van ) so about 5 hours later I get a call to tell me that its all fixed and yes they had to tighten some bolts in the back and also that my oil filter wasn't tight and it leaked some oil in the front. ... awesome!! Its all fixed and nothing major and was their minor error thankfully because we really couldn't afford anything. So I get there and Kelly proceeds to tell me that I have a small fee because they washed my engine and the undercarriage from the "other guys" mistake with the oil filter and I said oh... I wasnt entirely sure what to do because we only had money for rent at the moment and I said to her I had not asked her to wash my engine I had only asked for the back to be LOOKED at. She grabbed the papers tore them in half and stormed off. Came back shaking her head and saying she would get it written off then and rolling her eyes at me. I said why are you rolling your eyes at me?? She was so unbelievably rude that even my child asked me why she had so much attitude with me. Never going back to this location again.

When I got to the dealership I was informed that my appointment was to drop off the vehicle at 7:30. So it's been 6 months now since we bought our truck. I can not say what this has ment for us. Almost 2 years ago I was medically released from the military with a diagnosis of PTSD. I spent most of that first year working for minimum wage or slightly better. In this country that is not a liveable wage(I often worked 50 plus hours a week) and we still had to augment with savings in order to keep our young family afloat we have no debits other then a modest mortgage paying less per month then an equivalent place rents for. Then an opportunity showed up as an owner operator day courier in town. I needed a truck. There were no reliable used trucks in town that would work. I was faced with the choice of trading in our newer Toyota we bought on retirement or continuing to work for minimum wage. I went to Wheaton to see what they could do (expecting little). Man I walked in there feeling low and really not thinking there was anything to be done. I was greeted with a warm smile and they listened to me explain what I needed as well as my Financials. I was calmed and reassured in a day these guys found me a truck that would fit the bill for load specs yet still be able to haul the family when not at work (2015 gmc sierra long box crew cab) and got me approved for 0 percent financing. In another week they had me in my truck and working. I simply can not express my gratitude this has ment so much for our family (2 year old daughter, wife, dog and cat) we have not had to dip into the savings account since starting and have even managed to put some back. If this had not worked out I fear how different things would be now. I can not day it enough thank you, thank you, thank you. You guys are responsible for so much of our ability to live and that reduces my stress which has helped in my recovery as well. Again thank you

I went into Wheaton GM's Auto Service for a recall on my vehicle, I will begin by saying that I met quite a few people during my visit which were VERY kind to me. I did, however, pay a hefty amount for a mistake by the lady servicing my car. I received a call while my car was in the shop asking if I would like more work done, since these suggestions were things I can do for myself I said no to these services. When I returned to pick up my vehicle, I was charged for these services. When I brought up my concerns, I was told that I said yes on the phone. I told the lady that I was with a friend who quoted me in the exact words I recall saying on the phone back to me (I never told my friend what I had said, I just asked her) and in return I was told "I would never do anything without your permission" about 4 times in 2 minutes. I gave up but with advice from my father and friend I tried again and was met with the same repetitive behavior. The part that gets me the most is that the lady who I spoke to (on the phone and in person) came closer to me and physically looked down on me, as a younger woman this did make me uncomfortable especially when I am trying to respectfully tell her that she is in the wrong. I recommend that you record your phone calls, perhaps this can help one cut to the chase with this error in the future. I tried twice to be heard but no solution was offered, I wish I had the phone call to offer her. Since posting this review I was contacted by another kind gentleman who offered me credit (not a refund).

BEWARE OF THIS CAR DEALERSHIP!!!! This place tries to play it off all good, and offer you a nice deal and tries not to be to pushy, which it did perfectly well. It's a Tactic, I don't trust this dealership, I don't trust any dealership. Every dealer ship you go to will try and make money off of you. At first they offered me a somewhat fair deal which in fact I knew they were still making a ton of money off of me from there so called low offer on a Financing plan. Though I let it slide because I know this slippery snake of a company wont drop to the everyday working mans needs. When they called me back the following day to tell me whether the Credit was approved, they told me that I would need to fork out another 10K for the bank to even consider it. Which I know this isn't the fact considering my credit rating is good and my bank literally just offered to up my credit card limit by another 3000$ dollars. So I know the way these companies work. the drunken useless actor of a salesman will offer you these great deals, though if the brain(The financial Manager) in the back doesn't get a good kick out of the offer, it's a no go. Of course I'm not an idiot and am not about to fork out 10K when I've done all the math behind there back, and can see through all there mirror's and shams. Yet again another disappointment at a dealership, which could of had the potential to provide the customer with honesty and satisfaction; though like all of the rest they failed to do so. I will take my business else where and I highly suggest if you read this to do the same, unless you are a great slippery snake just like this Car dealership. Cheers!

They couldn't figure out how to fix my car, i told them what was wrong but they completely disregarded my input. After about a month they gave up, called me telling me to get my car off their lot. I picked it up and replaced that part myself in 6 hours, works perfectly fine now. I'm down $1500 because of them, plus it cost me an additional $1000 in parts to do it myself. Only recommend getting oil changed from them, find a more qualified shop if you need repair work done.

This is our second new car in a little over 6 months from Wheaton in Victoria. This dealership is a gem. I so happened upon them while vacationing on the Island last summer. My 2011 GMC was approaching 300,000km and I was casually shopping for a new one. Enter Brock Holland. He sealed the deal after only a couple hours of discussion. I worked in the GM dealership world for over 17 years and don't impress easily. I expected a fast talking newbie but that couldn't have been farther from the truth. This young man is honest, reliable and diligent. He impressed me simply by listening to what I wanted and then working to get me the right deal. His conduct defines customer service. No empty promises or over selling. My new truck was everything I wanted and at the price I expected. We were so impressed we went back to Brock for our first electric vehicle for my wife just last month. Again, another flawless experience. Remember, we live in Coquitlam. He met us in Tsawwassen, helped us insure it nearby and gave us a full demo on all its features. He then jumped on a ferry and made his way home. Who does that? Amazing. You will think so too. Just a regular oil change with a request to investigate\reset the tire pressure sensor and a request to check if there was any available software\firmware for the Android Auto head unit as it's been a problem. So when my wife dropped off the car I got a phone call for a lecture that the tires have to be inflated exactly to the the 35psi as shown on the door sticker, exactly! Not sure my tire gauge is exact enough for that, but since the sensor was actually broken I guess it didn't matter. Then it was not under warranty because it's a 'wearable part';OK, sure. When she picked it up she was told the AA issue was because we aren't using an OEM cable with our phones; it is not a cable problem. Not a very helpful or pleasant visit.

I made an appointment and the service department told me that they were so busy they wouldn’t get to my vehicle for up to another 3 hours and then it could take 3 hours to go through the simple checks I had scheduled my vehicle in for. I told them I had planned to wait, which I had told them when I made my appointment and had nowhere to go. The service manager told me I could go for a walk. He was rude and quick to belittle me when I tried to explain my situation. So I left and will never return! This shop is like an assembly line with no regard to its customers. They are unorganized and were scrambling to get vehicles through their check in service. This was a very unpleasant experience and a waist of my morning!

Never go here for service - do yourself a favour and find somewhere else. Past 2 experiences as follows: 1) Booked my 12,000 km service as directed by owner's manual (more to keep records up to date for resale / warranty than anything). Took the truck in, waited 2 hours, then was told there actually isn't any service required at 12,000 kms and they did nothing. I showed them the manual including inspection points and they told me that was the American version. I showed them where it says GM Canada. Long story short we argued back and forth and in the end I was promised e-mailed information for which I got nothing and truck got nothing. 2) Booked my 24,000 km service as directed by manual. Showed up - the list of items on their list and the owner's manual was completely different. Told it was just an oil change which I just did 2 months prior based on oil life and wasn't required. I was told they were struggling and behind and probably couldn't have the truck back for 5 + hours - best to try another time they said (but no one phoned to tell me this before I drove downtown?). Told me to come back when oil is due. Overall poor service, poor clarity with what is required in manual & warranty, rude - will never be back.

Poor Customer Service We were travelling in the region and our brand new car started to shake. Good news, there’s always a GMC around. We stopped, our car is still on the warranty honoured in all GMC dealerships. They told us they might not be able to look at it today since they were busy, BUT it was not safe to drive with it. So we were given 40$ taxi voucher because they could NOT find a rental car for us (sold out during vacation). After calling all day to have a diagnosis, we finally learned that our car had to be in the garage for 2-3 weeks!!! I And all they gave us is a taxi voucher and never found a rental for us. WE had to do it! All we did was to call a little further than Victoria (the airport) and we found one right away. They did not even take care of it nor pay for it since they didn’t have any partnerships with them. Such a shame! Chris at customer service whom I called numerous times, rarely returned my calls, enough so that the receptionist answered to the phone saying Hello Sophie… His only replies were: We are doing the best we can. Louise (if I remember right) was so rude and lack of empathy, not helping whatsoever. She could care less about deep in trouble we were without our car to tow our camper. No hotels available around… Us being on vacation, having to check out, towing our camper, store it until our car is ready, deal with our kids. Seriously, no one lowered our stress and helped us, beside the mechanics who was fantastic he deserves 5 stars. In the end, it took 4 days, if we had known that, all would have been different. They really ruined the customer experience! If you car breaks avoid this place, unless you can deal directly with the mechanic team.

Went with my boyfriend after his car encountered a swift demise of unknown origins. Narrowed it down to two vehicles and we decided on the GMC Terrain SLE-1. Basic features overall but we aren't really bells or whistle people. Frank O'Brien was very considerate throughout the process and even arranged for a loaner vehicle while we waited on the boyfriends car to arrive. I am rather blunt at times and don't like feeling the least bit like someone is trying to cheat you however didn't get any problems with Frank. He even went out of his way to side with me on a much cheaper car when my other half was still torn and considering a more expensive one. Thankfully he got the right one in the end though which is just what we needed.

I had a 08 2400 Chev pick up that needed the oil changed for the first time. This was the closest dealer to where I lived. Apart from waiting 5 minutes for the desk clerk to get to me it was quite straight forward. I left the truck with them all day and came back to pick it up later on that evening. They changed the oil and filter and washed it. Which I would expect for 119$ (consider the trucks a diesel and takes a lot of oil). It was nice to be able to pick up the truck at 6pm ( a couple hours after the service area closed) by paying for it in the sales office. Also a salesman gave me a tip about reseting the change oil light if I was to change the oil myself from now on which was nice of him. All in all I thought it was above average service.

Have just bought, privately, a single owner car originally bought from Wheaton. It's in for its first service by us. First GMC product we've owned. We'll see what transpires. Later on in the day. The car's "Service Wrench" had been on when I took the car in this morning. I pointed it out to the tech who checked the car in for servicing. I was told that they'd call for our instructions once they'd looked at it all. We'll, no call. We called to ask if and when the car would become available. "Now" we're told. What about the service wrench? Oh, we didn't do anything about it. Why not? We'd not received any instructions. Did you call. No. Hmmm. How'd you like to do the oil change that you'd determined that the wrench indicated? OK. This is service? Perhaps a little too harsh in retrospect. But, there's no second chance to leave a first impression. Wheaton didn't excel, leaving the customer to chase them both over the status of the service visit and to prompt them to ask for permission to do an oil and filter change. If we'd not prompted them we'd have driven off without the oil work and have had to return another day. So, reader, is this service?

I came in to talk about the 2020 Corvette. The young salesman, a self-proclaimed "car expert," led me to an office, sat me down, and started to show me YouTube videos. What I wanted was to know was simple: When can I test-drive the model? Could I maybe see the interior of the 2019 to compare to what's to come in the 2020? Apparently, even this was too much to ask for. When I requested a spec sheet, I was told "it's all online." When I asked for a price breakdown, I was told "it's basically $60,000 US"—with no insight whatsoever about Canadian options, prices, or taxes. After the guy tried to show me one more video, I simply thanked him and left. I frankly don't understand how a dealership that claims to be taking pre-orders for this car doesn't have a spec sheet for the features and model lines (let alone the pricing breakdown) ready to go.

I used to have good experiences with the service department of Wheaton GM. The last couple times have been a nightmare though, and most recently my last visit confirmed that I will not be returning here. Over a week ago I booked my truck in for a service at 9am. I arrive at 8:50am and the loading bay is PACKED full of vehicles. "Ok, I thought, well I made an appointment, so this line should move fast, no?" Wrong. I sat in line for 45 minutes past my original appointment. This made me late for work where I started at 9:30. I guess it's my bad that I thought I could book my truck in on a day I had to work, but never did I think I would've been stuck in line for 45 minutes when I had an appointment booked. For a simple oil change and tail light bulb replacement, it shouldn't have had to take the whole day - They called me at 12pm and said my vehicle would be done at 1pm. Okay, cool. Take my break at work at 2pm and head over to Wheaton thinking I'll pick up my truck and be on my way. I get in there and the service rep is very confused by my presence. "Here to pick up my vehicle." It's still in the shop they tell me. Are you serious? So I sit in their waiting room for not 10 minutes, not an hour, but 1 hour and 45 minutes (2 hours and 45 minutes AFTER they told me it would be ready). I spend my entire break from my work in their waiting room, and not only that but made me 45 minutes late to my work AGAIN. When I finally get my truck back, they quote me $424 on some other work I asked a quote on, which was to replace something very small and tedious. I looked online for the exact part model and found it was roughly only $30 dollars. Somehow they wanted to charge me $424 for a $30 part replacement + labour? Uh, no thanks. At this point I am biting my tongue trying to keep my composure with these guys, I know they are super busy in there and it could've just been a bad day. The service representatives were kind enough and I know they were doing their best. But after I had returned to my work and had my vehicle, it's 4pm at this point. The service rep calls my phone and says that my vehicle is ready for pick-up. Is this a joke? I was LITERALLY just there and in your waiting room for an hour and 45 minutes and just talked to you face to face to pick up my vehicle. Had you forgotten already? It was a really bizarre experience, one I left pretty unhappy with that I spent so much time of my day wasted with their go around, when it should've just been a 10 minute long drop off and a 10 minute long pick up. But now I spent almost 3 hours in there from the misinformation they gave me all day. My advice to Wheaton is stop booking so many vehicles in during the morning. The loading bay is a nightmare and people shouldn't have to wait in the queue for up to an hour over their alloted drop off time. I understand the demand is busy and we are all doing our best, but your customers also have lives and can't afford to be waiting around for hours, especially when they made an appointment beforehand. UPDATE: A few days after this experience, I noticed that my brake light, the one I had paid $40 to get replaced, was STILL burnt out. Wow, great job Wheaton.... not... Changing 2 star rating to 1 now.

Very disappointing service. We decided to head into town from Duncan to have both of our cars serviced. Mine was done at Pacific Mazda (which is awesome!) and my fiancee's was done here at Wheaton. The appointment was for a scheduled oil change and swapping out the all-season tires for winter tires; something that normally takes about 2-3 hours including a car wash and vacuuming of the inside. She'd had this done at the Duncan location previously and was very impressed with the service. When the appointment was originally booked, she was told it would take about the same amount of time. We showed up a few minutes before the appointment and noticed a lineup of cars in front of both bays. It obviously wasn't safe to wait in the lineup as we would have been sitting in the middle of the road, so pulled in a vacant space on the property, close to the doors. We proceeded inside and waited for service. They were quite busy and everything was fine up to this point. Tyson was helping someone, but noticed us after a few minutes and asked his co-worker, Linda, if she could help. She asked us if we had an appointment and where the car was. We tried to explain that the lineup was full and that our car was parked in the lot, but she kept interrupting us and insisting that we have to wait in the line (which was full). So, we went back to the car. Meanwhile, someone else managed to get into the line beforehand and delayed us further. After finally getting in, Tyson told us that it would not be just 2-3 hours, but that we'd have the car back in the afternoon without being more specific. After three hours, they called us to tell us that they hadn't looked at the car yet (very helpful). At the five hour mark, she called and asked for an update. The car was "being worked on" but wouldn't be ready soon. At this point, we decided to cut our losses and drive back home to Duncan in my car and pick up her car the next day. The cherry on top was the nearly $280 bill for just the tire rotation (the oil change was under warranty because it was a new vehicle). When she had the exact same thing done in Duncan in the Spring, the bill was about $170. Not sure why it would cost $280 to rotate tires. We will never go back to this location. Tyson was very helpful and understanding. Linda needs an education on proper customer service. I think a major issue here is over-booking customers for appointments. And for the record, I have about 28 years of customer service experience, so I know how it should work. Do better Wheaton!

Went in to have a belt changed. Was quoted 2.5x the amount of a local shop to do the work. Decided that was outrageous and informed dealer I would pick up my vehicle instead of them performing the work. Got a ride to dealer from a friend and waited 1.25hrs for them to put it back together while I watched mechanics/service advisors chatting and sipping coffee. Was contacted by dealership for follow up "happy call" and advised them what went on. Was told management would contact me about my experience, surprise, they never did. Nothing but empty words from these guys. I did receive a few of their email offers where they will pay you trade in value and a $500 gift card if I wanted to get bent over! No thanks. Don't waste your time. Don't bother trying to contact me, either.

The process began on Monday, November 23rd, 2020. I came in after a road trip east and the shade from my moon roof of my equinox had come off its track. I was very confused as I should considering I did not know what was to expect of this. I was suggested to bring it to another business as they could've potentially assisted with the dilemma. That business actually would've charged more and I was quite impatient and upset with the process as I was not getting the answers I was looking for. Now fast forward it to last week. The week of March 1-5, 2021. I brought it in to get more answers as I was gaining impatience with this issue that I still was left with no answers. I called the dealership to discuss this issue and was directed to contact my warranty, which in turn added more stress as all they mentioned to me was to make an appointment with the dealership and they will have to assess potentially if it could be a warranty approved service. It was deemed not warranty covered and I was not pleased with this result. I was offered the different options and given suggestions to bring down the cost of the labour and I went ahead and took the suggestions of the service advisor and brought my vehicle in this past week March 8, 2021. I was told that they did not have to go in and do much but just roll back the shade and put it back in the track manually. Of course I'm pleased with the result but not with the process as this was 4 months in the making and at the concern of myself as I was curious because of the lack of answers from the first time I brought it in. The service advisor was professional and courteous and I can appreciate his professionalism. I am more concerned going forward that as a Chevrolet Vehicle owner that something with this unforescene circumstance will detour me from continuing with this product line, as something cosmetic which ended up being what I would consider a quick fix from the technician threw me a curve ball in my work life. I will say I appreciated the car wash and that the problem was solved.

Things I found annoying: The lady in the service department kept calling me dude, buddy, bud. Whatever happened to "sir" or "mr so and so" or my first name, you know, customer etiquette. Things I found negative: A voicemail was left that if I brought the car in I would get a free oil change. Tried to book one but apparently there was no free oil change offer. Agent tried to get me in for "required maintenances" that has already been done. Felt like a bait and switch to me.

Was the easiest car buying experience ever had. We researched vehicle prior to going in as didnt want to be pushed into something we didnt want. Cody Sutton was our sales person and was amazing. He wasnt pushy or over bearing he allowed us to make our own decsicion with out any influncing or pushing. From arriving on the lot through test drive and back dont think took over than 2 hours from start to finish. If you are looking for a vehicle and dont want pressure sales and some one to go to bat for you Cody Sutton is the sales man for you and wheton gm is the dealer for you.

As with many other reviews, this business fell short once payment was received. Salesman was polite and attentive, overall first impression was good. Not surprising as I made the call and paid full asking price without haggling just knew what I wanted and wanted it shipped up to my location. Only real questions/concerns being they wouldn’t take visa for a large deposit and how long would it take to ship. I was told wire transfer only and that it would be up here that day or the next after payment as it is a long way. Well that was over two weeks ago and I still have no car. Apparently “it’s out of their control” is the total of their involvement once the vehicle leaves the premises. What was in their control was to hire a company that could ship as they said it would and also to keep the communications open. Both failed miserably. I have been patient but that is getting me nowhere. Sadly disappointed at this business’s efforts after the sale has gone through.

Called the parts desk and left a message about 3 parts I was looking for when the service advisor transferred me (seemed like something they could have done) and didn’t get an answer or a callback. After many years of great service I came across the worst service employee that I ever came across in any type business. She was rude, snob and unfriendly. When I complained to the manager he minimized the incident and apologized for her stating that it was bad chemistry from the start. I was floored as I never had to file a complaint on a employe before. I bought 2 vehicles from them and would never consider doing business with them anymore. Having a problem that is solved to the satisfaction of the customer will keep his or her business. I was told by the manager that Ms Braun is a new employee and that she didn't know all the rules yet. The service advisors the day I worked including the actual shop manager were very abrupt and abrasive which led me to a chat with Dave Wheaton himself. The need to remember that when you book there that you have opted to give them the business, so when you arrive at 720 for your 8am appointment on a Friday being spoken to in a condescending and aggresive manner isn't going to make you come back, and can essentially make you take your purchasing decisions elsewhere too. So all the hard work and amazing service the sales team gives you gets dismissed by the poor professionalism of the service department. I would still recommend you because of the friendly staff you have employed such as Katherine in the service department who dealt with me most recently. My only concern with my last service appointment was the amount of time it took to basically have an oil change and the amount of money I paid to have a (currently unresolved) issue with my stereo system assessed. For a few months, the controls on my car stereo system has been intermittently malfunctioning. Sometimes the only way to control the volume and toggling of radio station/tracks is through the controls on my steering wheel. I notified Katherine about this and managed to actually show her the problem, when I brought my vehicle in for an oil change last week and she said that she will have the service department diagnose the problem and complete the oil change. I was unaware that the diagnosis process would take as long as it did. Seeing as previous service appointments took no more than a few hours, I had made plans to pick up my children in the afternoon with the car. By about noon, I was getting a bit nervous about the fact that I hadn't yet received a call or text that my car was ready. I touched base via text at about 12:30pm with no response. So 20-30 minutes later, I called and was told that it hasn't had an oil change yet. I explained my situation and they said that they would have it done within an hour. I caught a ride to the dealership about 45-minutes later, thinking that by the time I arrived it would be close to finished and was told they still hadn't completed the oil change. Katherine asked two of the technicians that were in the garage (who currently were not working on any vehicles) if they could do the oil change and so I waited another 30 minutes until it was done. Once everything was complete, I went to pay for the service and was told that a service technician spent 30-minutes trying to diagnose the problem with my radio controls but could not find anything wrong with it because it was not malfunctioning at the time. I was charged approximately $90 for the time he spent trying to diagnose the car. I was told to just bring the car back when the problem gets worse. What leaves a bitter taste in my mouth is that my car radio is still intermittently malfunctioning (it actually started to malfunction again shortly after I left the dealership). I'm out $90 because a technician spent half an hour with my radio but couldn't find (and therefore, didn't fix) the problem. The other thing is the fact that it only took 30-minutes to try and diagnose my car stereo controls and 30-minutes to complete the oil change, yet my car was in the service department's possession from 7:45am (the time of my appointment) until shortly after 2pm (the time I finally got the car back). I feel like I could have saved myself a lot of money and time if I simply didn't mention the car stereo problem. I chose not to put up a fuss because I thought Katherine was a joy to deal with and I didn't want to vent my frustrations on to her and potentially fluster her (or ruin her day), but because of this most recent experience, I am seriously contemplating getting my vehicle regularly serviced elsewhere as it's caused me to lose a little bit of faith in whether or not I'm getting my money's worth having my vehicle serviced by you. And that makes me a bit sad because I've bought my car from you nearly four years ago and have loved dealing with you all this time. I unfortunately can't offer up any suggestions on what you could have done differently to avoid this negative experience but I'm hoping things can change for the better for the sake of your customers. Not sure how many appointment slots you guys allocate during a day but to book a simple oil change, multi point and tire rotation/inspection with a cabin air filter change five days in advance and then to be told 5 hours later it hasn't been started because it is been busy and also asked to keep it overnight, perhaps you should look at your appointment times and what is coming in and have the service advisors tell incoming customers about backlog. Sure I get it, things happen but I've never had this happen when I've take my past vehicles in for ROUTINE service elsewhere. In and out, for all the things I ask for same day. I could have had the oil change done faster elsewhere for a few bucks more rather than loose the whole day. I haven't used your service bay much since I bought my current vehicle from your location. So far, I would only recommend your location for Sales and Financing because they did an awesome job getting me what I wanted. We shall see next time.

We made an appointment to have an oil leak fixed and “brake maintenance” on our vehicle. When we arrived at our scheduled appointment, a lady named Linda in the service department told us we did not have an appointment (even though she was the one who booked us in via phone 5 days prior) She argues that we had not made an appointment with them and that we probably called one of the other dealerships in Canada. She was extremely rude and belittling and it was jaw dropping at how my wife and I were being treated. When we had made that appointment we had been talking to her and getting the quotes for our vehicle etc she clearly didn’t put us in the system! Our vehicle was supposed to be scheduled to get in at 9:15am and didn’t make it in to the garage until 12pm where we were then told it was going to be a 14 hour job! We were told it would be a 3 hour job and we would have our vehicle back in the afternoon when we booked the appointment. We are from up island and it was a huge inconvenience as we had children in school at the time. Nic glover, the manager, took care of our issues after all the trouble and took care of our bill.

I took that report to two other mechanics who told me that 90 percent of the things that they said needed done.... really didn’t need done. I recently had the pleasure of dealing with John M and the body guys at Wheaton body shop when I had a not at fault accident on my 2013 gmc sierra. I asked for Dave Wheaton because my father had a great experience with them in 2003 when he bought a new truck from them and I was very pleased to see there quality and pride in work has not changed. I'm very happy with the quality of the work the body shop did, the paint matches perfectly and the gaps are better than it was from the factory. I am ultra picky about body and paint I can normally pick out where body panels have been repainted but this is flawless all parts where oem they also cleaned the rest of the vehicle and have taken care of me the entire way through this unfortunate situation. I highly recommend the body shop if you looking to have your gm vehicle looking like it did from the factory.

Jim and the team at Wheaton GM demonstrated what I consider to be more than excellent customer service that ultimately led to me, the customer, having a great experience while purchasing a new vehicle. I am a businessperson and understand what it takes to operate a successful business. I was not asked to provide this review, I did this of my own volition. TRAGIC service department ! Was in for a noise coming from the front end of my vehicle, turned out that a wheel bearing needed to be replaced . The service advisor Dan said the part "is" in Vancouver, and would arrive in a day or two....that day was Friday. Made an appointment for the following Friday at 8:00 am, to have the new wheel bearing installed. Rescheduled the entire day, drop the kids off at school 45 minutes earlier to make it for 8:00 am. Showed up at 7:55 am, only to find out that the part is not in, but now Dan says it's on " backorder " ! No phone call prior to my appointment to inform me, so I could reschedule. Incompetence at it's finest. Then he tries to give me a break on the price of the part ( the part he doesn't have) and wants me to rebook for a third appointment. After leaving the dealership, phoned to speak with the service manager, left a message with the reception for him to phone me....no response. I have been going to this dealership for 5 years for service, and it's a revolving door with their service advisors. Phoned Jenner Chevrolet, they not only had the part in, they were able to schedule an appointment for Monday morning ! I didn't even buy the vehicle from them, and they accommodated me. Obviously, will not be returning to Dave Wheaton in the future for a purchase and or service.

Recently I wanted to retire my 2007 gas guzzler in favour of new electric (EV) technology to help in the battle against climate change. After researching the auto reviews and deciding the Chevy Volt or Bolt were the current leaders in the distance range I wanted, I made preliminary inquiries to Jim at Dave Wheaton GMC. Online I was disappointed to find the Scrap-it EV incentive program ($6000) for replacement by new vehicles was exhausted for 2017, and was thinking to wait until the new allotment in Jan 2018. However a few weeks later Jim emailed me to say that Adam, a colleague at Dave Wheaton had procured the incentive for a 2017 Volt, and was I interested? I was! Combined with the BC incentive that made for a $11,000 rebate(!), but equal to that, was the extremely friendly and helpful attention and assistance I received from Jim for kickstarting the venture, Adam for my Scrap-it application, Mark for the explanations of financial and lease arrangements, and Ted for demos of most of the features and getting me on the road behind the wheel of my spirited new Volt. Thank you Team Wheaton guys!

Dave Wheaton provides great service but unfortunately for me my 2013, GMC Sierra SLT Crew Cab was at the 80Kms service. It is recommended that all of your major fluids be replaced. I was attending originally for an oil change and replace the left front low beam head light. However, it ended up being just under $1000.00 in labour charges as each job has a minimum time charge. My time total was 4.6 hours of charged labour time. Again, Dave Wheaton provides great service but I was shocked by a $1418.14 bill. Just a heads up to replace a left front low beam headlight it costs $104.49 in parts and labour.

Since I bought my 2001 Denali from Gord Strongman at Wheatons, I have had nothing but great service! Everyone there knows that I’m super fussy (it looks as new) so they treat my car well! If I had one concern it would be that the service man need to be more careful with his greasy boots and hands . Only sometimes, the running boards are left greasy, the lock keys have grease on them, and the windows have water drips/eyebrows where the windshield wipers had been tested both front and back. Most attendants, however take care of these concerns, and leave my car as sparkling as when I brought it in.

Some vehicles we have purchased outright for personal use and some leased for business use. Each and every time Mark has always worked to give us the best terms available on the market. The current Jeep Grand Cherokee I asked Frank to locate for me is the absolute best vehicle I’ve driven and they made the process so quick and easy we even had time to all get together for dinner afterward to catch up each other’s lives. Where else would you hear of this from a car dealership? Never, it’s just more than that a dealership. So much where I drove from Kelowna to pick up the new ride from Frank and Mark. Had an appointment today for an oil change/inspection and I have to say it was an incredibly poor experience. Note that I understand FULLY how tough it is right now for many businesses, as they aren't able to keep the same number of staff. I sympathize. My appointment today was at 11:10; I arrived exactly at that time and waited. And waited. And waited. At 11:35, after not being approached at all and watching staff sitting around inside, I decided to go in. One of the staff members (Dan H. according to the website) was quite rude and unhelpful, telling me to go back to my car. It REALLY does not take much to be polite and explain you're busy and won't be long - apparently this was too much for Dan to do. Another staff member was okay but not exactly friendly. To make things worse, I didn't receive my car back until 4:30pm. It should NOT take 5 hours for a simple thing like this. I get that they may be busy but if you're too busy to do something basic like this in a timely manner you're probably not scheduling your clients properly. I won't be going back to Wheaton and certainly do not recommend them.

The WORST service department. I've spent $60,000 at this dealership and they wouldn't cover a $40 GM part that failed a month after they replaced it unless i paid a $100 fee for the inspection from my extended warranty -- claiming that i must have abused it. It's a hydraulic hatch arm, how does one abuse it? Opening and closing the hatch a dozen times? it just boggled my mind. They lost a customer over a pittance -- the lady who runs their service department is just unbelievably petty, rude, and obtuse. This after being charged over the quote just about every time we've been in there... yet, never arguing. I guess that's what happens when you reward poor behavior though... it never changes. Good riddance, i took my business elsewhere, never to return. So long!

Shady dealer. Unfriendly staff (yes Tim I’m taking about you) Don’t trust their repair shop. Refused to fix a bunch of issues on my ATS. When I got a new pair of tires I asked to have the good tire back. Danial gave me the broken tire back to sell the good one. I specifically asked for the good one back. Also They tried to charge me for repair covered by the Cadillac warranty program and refused to fix other issues covered by Cadillac on my 2018 model. Scott is a great guy though 4 stars for that guy

Brought my 2013 Volt in because a check engine light was on. I'm told the solution to this problem is to install a software update, and that will make the check engine light go off. When I asked what this actually was, or what the software patch actually fixed, they couldn't tell me, or tell me anything about what was even wrong in the first place. All they could say is 'this makes the check engine light go off and we have no idea why, but oh, you owe us 150 bucks now'. What a scam. Expressed how insane that was, and was offered nothing in response. Was not at all impressed by this experience, or the cost. Wouldn't recommend buying a Volt to anyone because you have no choice but to get hosed by the dealership for all required service work, including 'convenient' software patches that generate revenue for GM but do nothing for the user.

The Service Department manager assisted me in diagnosing the issue on the spot and advised me how to address it myself, saving me time and money. Went for a “quick lube”. When we arrived, signs said to stay in your vehicle, so we did. It took 15 minutes for someone to acknowledge we were there. In the meantime many people walked by and noticed we were there, but none stopped and said we will be with you soon. We were just left sitting there wondering if we should leave or go inside, even though the signs said to stay in your vehicle. After saying all that, once we got inside we were met by a gentlemen by the name John, who was absolutely amazing. John actually deserves a 5+ rating.

$134 for a lightbulb never going there again for service they quoted me $2200 to fix my truck they said I had a whole bunch of oil leaks in the front brakes need to be doing I went to Canadian tire they couldn’t find any oil leaks they said they never seen a better undercarriage on a truck with no oil on it Dave Wheaton said $2200 was going to fix my brakes and oil leaks. Canadian tire didn’t have to fix the oil leaks they put fresh oil in my truck did the brakes Taxes included $805.00 I don’t know Dave Wheaton can’t imagine what a oil change would cost on top of the brakes would probably be another $300 this is my experience with Dave Wheaton

I felt very comfortable at the dealership, where careful Covid protocols are in place, and was welcomed by Frank O'Brien. Buying the car was great, servicing the car, not so much. Service lady was very rude to me after she had made a huge mistake. No apologies even when I was finally able to connect with Tim the manager. He basically said she probably felt "backed into a corner" and that he would only address all staff re this problem, not Kelly. Guess he didn't want to incur her ire! Yes Tim, it's good that you have a relationship with your crew but not when customer service suffers. By reading other reviews looks like I'm not the only one with this complaint. Servicing car somewhere else.

I called to get to get a quote for a power steering pump. Mark answers and informed me there where two options. One OEM one acdelco. I asked the difference and if the OEM parts was acdelco too. He was unable to give me a concrete answer. So I asked for the part numbers. He refused. I explained to him that I am a loyal customer and that i just wanted to look the parts up myself,to which he refused again. I dont know if this is store policy, but I have never had this issue the many times I have called in the past. I told him he was operating in bad faith and that I would take my business elsewhere. What's even more ridiculous is that I can find the parts numbers online with my vin.

Never found the issue of the vehicle. Mechanic done a quick check up. 1. He said tire rotation was needed. Tires and wheels are only six months old no need for rotation. 2. Air filter and cabin filter need to be change. I just replaced last month. They would have charge me $170.00 for them to replace them. The mechanic did not physically checked mist of the said problems on the quotes but went with the maintenance period of the car. Personally, I will go back at this dealership because they money grabbing shop. I will not recommend them even you have a warranty on your vehicle. They find something wrong and charge you a lot.

I would be remiss in my duties if I did not thank Adam McKenzie, Nic Glover, and Adam Poxon for a great job! The no pressure and finding a better personal options by Adam McKenzie lead us from a CT6 to a XTS V sport which was totally the car my wife and I should have. He was very courteous, knowledgeable on car functions, ready to resolve any problems and also spent his valuable time helping us.
