We have experienced quite bad service at this dealership. They had to order us a new rear powered lift assembly - they did that and they installed it when it arrived. In so doing, they lost/misplaced our extended warranty and they must not have tested the install because a couple of days later when we went to use it, it did not work properly, in fact, it worked just the same as it did before the replacement; very slowly and jumpy. We called “Service?” And were told that because the chap who handled the job was on holiday for 2 weeks, we would have to wait until he returned. What kind of “service” is this?

I would highly caution anyone from trusting the competence of this dealership's service department. My wife took her 2010 jetta into them in the spring. (We have had nothing but problems with its 2.0l Turbo engine since the day we bought the car brand new. It has been in VW shops for up to 2 1/2 months at a time being worked on.) This time in Victoria, they told here it was in great shape and there was nothing wrong despite what she told them. The car got worse so we took it all the way up island to the VW dealership we bought it from as they had serviced it previously. They told us in five minutes from listening to her description that the turbo was most likely gone and that it was "unsafe to drive". If she were to leave their lot without paying the $3500 to fix it, she would have to sign a waiver releasing them from any liability. Not sure if this was general incompetence in Victoria or the pervasive attitude that women don't know what they are talking about when it comes to their vehicles but at the end of the day, apparently they had her driving an "unsafe car" due to their inability to listen or diagnose. Extremely poor product and extremely poor service in Victoria. We are now looking to buy a brand new vehicle and as much as we like the audi Q5, we would have a tough time purchasing anything linked to Volkswagen.

Having had many used vw's in the past I knew the choice was easy getting into another vw. My trouble was financing and getting a price I could afford. The team at vw Victoria bent over backwards to help me get the right car and without their help I'd be trapped in poor finance rates and an old car. Randy and brad made for a pleasant experience and most assuredly a return customer.

I recently purchased (with a Subaru trade in) a VW Tiguan through Volkswagen Victoria and had A+ customer service from Michael and Brad. They both went above and beyond in every way possible...extremely professional and courteous. I also felt extremely comfortable and relaxed; I will definetly continue business here in future because they were very fair with my car trade in and pricing on my new vehicle. The new car (one previous owner) was cleaned and in pristine condition. In addition, they answered all of my questions, and gave us delicious mocha coffees and cookies. You cannot go wrong buying a vehicle through Michael and Brad at Volkswagen Victoria!

I've been a long time client at this dealership, and have in the past decade enjoyed a number cars that I've purchased and had serviced there. The service department in particular has been excellent to deal with. A couple of examples that come to mind are troubleshooting a difficult to diagnose leak in the sunroof of my '14 Touareg, and previous to that, successfully diagnosing and repairing an illusive, but major fuel system fault in my '12 Golf R. Service rep Michelle Passmore and tech Norm were excellent in resolving the Touareg's issue, while again reps Michelle Passmore, and Danielle Sachs along with tech Brent, were instrumental in getting the R's fuel system problem resolved. Additionally, Chris and Steve in parts have proved invaluable in keeping all of my VW's going strong over the years, especially with my '93 Passat GLS VR6, which has become quite challenging to source parts for. I've also recently had the pleasure of dealing with Brent Moroz in sales who's relaxed, zero pressure demeanor goes a long way in putting customers at ease. Also, sales manager Daniel Shaver has been most accommodating in helping me put together a special order wheel and tire package for a new Golf R I'm in the process of ordering. I can't say enough good regarding all the staff I've had dealings with at Volkswagen Victoria.

My High Pressure Fuel Pump exploded, I was quoted approximately $9,000+tax to have it replaced and it was not covered as (one of the many cases of a) parts malfunction because the dealership put some fuel in a foam cup and decided that I had put gas in my car. I had the fuel provided scientifically tested by the gas station I filled by car up at and it was determined that it was in fact pure diesel. Both VW Canada and VW Victoria refused to see the value in the real scientific test saying "we stand behind the testing that was done at the dealership" when you were well aware said testing involved someone pouring some fuel into a cup and it dissolving it overnight. After my father, who is much more mechanically inclined than myself, spent time on the phone speaking with the mechanic about the state of the car looking for a more economical solution to this issue, they agreed upon a solution and the mechanic at your dealership assured my father that he would stand behind the work completed. We went ahead with the repair at a still hefty $4,752.24. Upon collection of the vehicle we were assured by the Service Advisor named Kelsey (who was the one person who we can say was very helpful and trustworthy) that the repairs carried out were covered under VW Canada's 1 year parts & labour warranty (which she told us was good at any VW Dealership in Canada). After paying for the repair I confirmed on the dated receipt for the fuel fill-up, what I had known all along - that I filled up with diesel. I drove back to our home on the mainland and approximately 1 week later, my vehicle once again broke down. I paid extra to have it towed to a VW Official Dealership to ensure that the repair would be covered under the warranty that Kelsey had made us aware of. Upon diagnosis, VW Langley made us aware that there is no such thing as the warranty (1 yr/20000km at any VW Canada Dealership) VW Victoria had told us we had and that the repair would be another $1500. I asked them to call VW Victoria to confirm this and when they did they were told that my father had strong-armed the mechanic into doing the repair - which meant that they would not honour the warranty. Frustrated, I once again turned to VW Canada and were again informed that we were out of luck because VW Victoria put some fuel in a cup. I do appreciate Daniel Shaver reaching out to his contact at VW Canada in hope of using discretionary funds to reimburse me some of the cost of this repair but that unfortunately was not successful. Now, two months later and people seem to no longer care about this - we are still looking for resolution. As a long term consumers of Volkswagen brand Diesel vehicles, my family has owned a 4 other TDI vehicles as well as my own 2010 Golf TDI, it is very disappointing to see that this is how you treat us. I purchased this from VW Victoria vehicle 8 months ago for ~$10,000+tax. Do you think it is reasonable charging me that same amount to restore my vehicle to working condition, when this part had been recalled in the US and there are countless reports of this happening from both the media and other sources? Its unfortunate that at the end of this all that both VW Victoria and VW Canada are unable to help us at all with the cost of this repair. Update: Daniel has been able to provide $1000 in discretionary funds but that is unfortunately a mere fraction of the out of pocket cost that owning this vehicle has incurred

I had the pleasure of purchasing a 2019 Golf R from Michael earlier this year, I was holding off on leaving a Google review to gauge how good the after purchase support is and I'm amazed so far. Any time I have any questions or concerns I shoot a text to Michael (I'm sure he hates me by now but won't admit it ????) and he responds as if I'm his top priority, feels as if I'm talking to a friend. The sales experience was amazing too, I knew right away on the test drive I was going to purchase the car. He wasnt trying to force the sale at all, we just talked about the Volkswagen brand which he was super knowledgeable about. Highly recommended the entire team there, so far I'm incredibly happy with the services they've offered. **Edit 4 Months after ownership** Have to edit my review to compliment the post purchase service and care I’ve received from the entire team, especially Spencer and Leah in the warranty department. I’ve had to bring my 2019 Golf R in a couple times for some things to be warrantied and the warranty department is super professional and every time I’ve been kept in the loop start to finish. I have no worries about leaving my car with the team and knowing it’s in good hands and going to be handled with care!

My wife and I needed to test drive a vehicle we're considering. The trouble is - we plan to buy it out of Calgary, not Victoria. But we need to make our decision while we're in Victoria. I was hesitant to ask VW Victoria, because I know time is valuable and there's nothing worse than wasting a valuable salesperson's time with "tire kicking". We were introduced to Brent Moroz, who was absolutely classy, helpful, addressed all of our questions. We went on a great test drive with the new Golf Sportswagon. He was sure to take us on a route that would give us a well rounded experience to get the best sense for the car's handling. I'll start by saying I really dislike buying cars. I especially dislike buying them from dealerships as the deal always feels insincere and shady - as though I've somehow been ripped off. However, the experience I had at Volkswagen Victoria was the best I've ever had at a dealership. So good, in fact, that I hugged Allan at the end (who does that after they buy a car?). Allan was accommodating, welcoming, kind, knowledgeable, attentive, understanding and patient. I'm sure my husband and I would have sent most people over the edge, but Allan stuck with us and made the deal happen (I've got to give kudos to Adam as well for helping out with that). Excellent Service. VW Victoria has serviced my 2002 Eurovan Westfalia Weekender since 2019. I am very happy with the quality of service and communications. Most recently, in summer 2021, they repaired the air conditioner with a combination of VW certified and after-market parts; a must for summer heat waves. Their most outstanding service followed a series of vehicle reliability incidents (due to age), starting with an affordable, yet thorough diagnosis and condition assessment, followed by consultation and a timely and comprehensive repair. Their Service Advisors are excellent, similar to having a conceirge. They treat me very well.

The team at the service counter were great. The check in process to have my jetta looked at was quick and painless. The people were all excellent. My concern was for the quality and thoroughness of the work. It was the first time I've been to this service department with this vehicle and I was told I'd have a complete inspection done. Upon receiving my vehicle back, I was told that it was in excellent shape - despite the somewhat noisy brakes and excess brake dust, despite the slight misalignment of the steering, despite the hitch in the automatic transmission. I fear the crew looked at the odometer (87K in 13 years) and figured nothing could be wrong so didn't bother looking. Finally, upon getting my car back from the cleaning crew (a car wash with your service is a nice touch btw), the wheels were patchy with brake dust, the floor mats were still soaking wet and soapy in places, and they had clearly missed swathes of my dashboard while dusting. I appreciate the thought, but I'd have preferred to do it myself if it was going to be a halfhearted effort. I'd appreciate any recommendations on shops that love VWs. Three generations of my family on the lower mainland have been taking our VWs to the same private mechanic for 40 years and I'd love to find one in Victoria.

I just purchased my 4th Jetta since 1986. Each successive upgrade, from regular diesels, to more recent TDI vehicles, have exceeded my expectations. My most recent TDI was a 2015. It was new to me this past spring. A beautiful manual, white, Highline with all the bells & whistles. VW Victoria, were fabulous in securing the car & making sure everything was in tip top shape. The whole team of Sandi, Michelle & Brad made sure I had extended warranties and a vehicle in exceptional condition. I thought I was set. Tragically, it was written off when I was hit in a collision this November. All the safety features deployed & I was able to walk away with only bumps & bruises. Back to square one & no similar TDI's available so I've upgraded to a 2019 Jetta- manual, white, Highline vehicle once again. I'm so thankful for all the help I've received and the loyalty credits and even a loaner car until my new vehicle is ready for delivery. I will recommend VW Victoria for excellent products & easy, friendly, professional service. In addition, I've always had my vehicles serviced at the dealerships. Building relationships, and keeping my vehicles up to date, has meant they have typically lasted 15 + years before I was compelled to upgrade. That's just how VW builds things. Solid & safe!

My experience at VW Victoria as not been a very good one. Like others in the reviews here, I've found their pricing to quite extortionary. My 2015 Golf failed to start one morning and, after some trouble shooting, I realized the battery was completely dead. I was just coming up due for an oil change service, so I decided to just get a jump and drop it off at VW dealership to take care of both of the service items. On the key drop off envelope, I wrote that the battery is dead and I would like an oil change. They called me the next day, and to my surprise, the battery replacement alone was going to cost $310. I was told $175 for the part and that the install will take one hour of shop time, totalling $135. I know exactly how this battery is changed and that it's literally 1 bracket bolt to unscrew and remove the part. They try to make it seem like there's some esoteric "recalibration" needed after a new battery is installed and that it takes a long time to complete the install. I actually spoke with a VW tech friend of mine and he said there's just a couple things that you MIGHT need to do installing a new battery and that it can be done very easily by yourself - i.e. recalibrating your electronic windows by moving them up and down once and holding the button down and unlocking the radio again. Upon questioning why it will take one hour for something that surely will take a skilled technician around 15 minutes, I was told that the tech needed 1 hour to diagnose that the battery was dead (I already wrote that on the drop off sheet) and another full hour to swap batteries. I was then told that I'm getting a deal and such a service would normally cost $60 more. That would make it $370 to essentially check if a battery is indeed dead after being told it's dead, and remove one battery and plug in another. Call me crazy, but $370 (or even the $310 that I ended up paying) is quite a ridiculous price to replace a battery that I know took them less them 30 minutes. How do I know it took them less than 30 minutes? Because after talking with the service people on the phone and ultimately approving the battery install out of desperation (needed the car next day for a long trip), asking why it's going to take them an hour to remove one bolt and plug in a new a battery, they called me back 35 minutes later saying my car was ready. When questioned why I was paying for a full hour of shop time for something that took half of that, the manager (who was in fact patient, courteous, and was not rude) told me all about how they pay their technicians and that it's not their fault the technician was fast. This is the point of contention for me, I know from the phone call timing, and common sense, that it didn't take an hour ($135) to change my battery, but I was left with the bill for full hours shop time. He then told me that this is a flat rate charge and it essentially said it doesn't matter if the tech completes the job in 5 mins or 2 hours, it's the same charge. This is the 1st time I heard that this labour charge was fixed and not variable. In fact, on the phone previously, they never mentioned a fixed charge, it was always quoted as hourly as far as they made it seem. All told, for an oil change and a new battery, I paid $512. This has got to be the highest I've seen for such a service and I honestly feel ripped off. I will certainly be looking at other shops to service my VW from now on. A customer lost.

Dealership is going downhill. Service department is the worst of any VW dealer ever. Getting an Audi next time after 6 cars here... Hi Daniel, It’s really since VW was sold from Speedway and became part of GAIN. GAIN runs things differently and my experience has been similar to the shift at say a company like Future Shop that is now Best Buy. The profitability is the primary focus and customer service is not. You asked your customers to write good reviews about your company as an incentive during purchase and then somehow got Google to lock the review system preventing any further reviews. This behaviour alone deserves a bad review and I think me changing my once good review to a more critical one is par for the course. The only way to fix this dealership is to remove it from the GAIN network...

Should you think about leaving your vehicle in this dealership's care for an extended period of time, think again. A family vehicle was left overnight in their "care" for servicing only to have the rear window smashed and thousands of dollars worth of items stolen. Now one would assume an establishment that deals with high-end vehicles would have a security system installed so as to avoid situations such as this, but apparently this is not the case. Immediately following the incident, the family members to whom this unfortunate incident occurred were originally told by multiple employees that the dealership/company would cover all losses and damages. However, upon receiving the list of items that were taken from the vehicle (yes it was lengthy...right before Christmas, go figure!) the company retracted their previous statement and informed the vehicle owners that they would no longer cover the expenses (again, funny how some things suddenly change with new information). Now, given the negative light that has been shone on the Volkswagen brand lately one would hope its employees will do whatever possible to ensure existing consumers are satisfied to the utmost extent. Well Volkswagen Victoria, you certainly dropped the ball on this one. You didn't even offer the clients a "curtesy car" for the time the vehicle was at the dealership; first because of a faulty clutch, second because of the window that got smashed! Long story short, DO NOT put your trust in this establishment to service your vehicle and certainly do not leave it in their care for a period of time. Also a final note to those monitoring this review page, I invite you to contact me directly should you wish to discuss my comments further. A previous review of mine resulted in an employee calling my father and asking him to please have the comments retracted (id like to ask this gentleman if every reviewer that rates the dealership as less than "5 stars" gets a similar phone call?) This is solely my personal opinion based on the facts I have been given from the parties involved as well as the experiences i have had with my old Volkswagen Golf (purchased from Volkswagen Victoria), which I happily traded for a Mazda3.

The good folks at Speedway have always taken great care of me and my Beetle since I moved to the island in 2009. I would not trust it to anyone else in town. Service is thorough, work is impeccable, and Michelle and the rest of the team are unfailingly professional and pleasant. The last time I took my car in for a long overdue servicing, I was able to bring it in a day early and also to pick it up before the estimated time it would be ready to pick up as good as new. Going above and beyond the call of duty really is the norm at Speedway and I actually look forward to bringing my car in and to drinking their fancy coffees in their great waiting area while I check out the newer models. On numerous occasions I have received solid advice that saved me money in the short and the long term and I also like that when the time comes to upgrade to a new set of wheels, all of the work done on the vehicle is on file and documented. They are quick to adjust invoices based on updated work orders (i.e. Not charging for tire rotation on an inspection when I ended up purchasing new tires upon reviewing the work invoice even though I okayed the new tires after the inspection) and was advised not to replace the battery a bit early, which has proven to save me some pesos this year too! The staff are also very through in providing and explaining estimates as well as invoices and getting the go-ahead when any changes come up during servicing. I can't recommend them enough for routine service checks, major repairs, out-of-province inspections (they have even partnered with a local insurance company who will come to the dealership to get your inspected vehicle BC-ready :-) ) and even on one slightly embarrassing occasion, roadside assistance! Reasonable prices and excellent customer service.

I was looking for a fuel efficient commuter car and my landlord's boyfriend recommended checking out a Volkswagen. I've mainly driven Hondas and Mazdas, but decided to check out a VW Golf. I made an e-mail enquiry and heard back from the dealership immediately. My wife and I visited the dealership Saturday afternoon after test driving another vehicle. It was busy and while the front desk person was friendly we decided to leave rather than waste our afternoon. On the way out we ran into Matt, the sales manager. He was very friendly and encouraged us to come in...promises of Nespresso and immediate service convinced me and my wife. Matt introduced us to Dane Eivindson, a Sales and Lease consultant. Don't let his age dissuade you...Dane know his stuff and is extremely personable. He took us out for a test drive that really enabled us to drive the vehicle in different conditions (windy roads, highway, in the city). Both he and Matt made purchasing a vehicle a pleasant experience. They were both honest about pricing and applied zero pressure (no...'I have to go talk to the manager' BS). At no time did I feel rushed or pressured. Brad, the finance guy, did not try to oversell us on warranties or other packages. He was to the point and made sound recommendations. Again, I did not feel like he was wasting our time. On the whole, I would definitely purchase another vehicle from Volkswagen Victoria. Ask for the three guys that we dealt with and I suspect your experience will be much the same.

Car Service here is terrible for VW dealership and its brand name. They charged me almost $800 for fixing the windshield wiper. Parts cost $185. I book an appointment at 2pm because I have work but they really delayed, so they could keep it overnight on purpose. This business mental will ruin VW reputation for sure. But, I am just another victim from this car service as I see too many other complaints about their service. Do not come here for car service if you don’t want to get ripped off.

I recently purchased a 2016 Golf TSI from Volkswagen Victoria and I dealt with Robert, who was very friendly and knowledgeable. We took the car for a test drive and because Robert is a Golf owner he was able to talk me through all the features. There was no pressure or sales pitch, and he was able to answer my questions based on his own driving experience. He was also upfront about some cosmetic damage to the car. Robert and Brad, who handled the payment, were also transparent about the costs associated with the purchase and I never felt like I was being taken advantage of. Brought my 2015 VW GTI (which is awesome), in to VW Victoria for a warranty check on consistent fog accumulation in the fog lights. Fog accumulates and does not dissipate in the fog lamps, more on one side (R) but also in the (L) too. Seems pretty obvious that this is a design flaw or oversight in the build of the fog lamp. VW claims "this is not covered under warranty, and this build type (the fog light) is similar or the same on Audis as well". That doesn't make me want to buy an Audi either. That's not very reassuring of either brand. They mentioned "we'll investigate this further and let you know". They never did get back to me. Seems they do not provide warranty work unless you really push and scream, which is unfortunate. I will add a photo or photos to this review later. Good luck with your fog lamps!

We bought our first car with very expensive warranty after leasing it for 4 years in Volkswagen. (which was not the best idea but we did it for the trust we had for Volkswagen) We currently are looking to buy a new car and will NEVER buy it from Volkswagen due to their poor customer service! It is inevitable that the car will age and need servicing for years. We did think of buying our next car from Volkswagen again but have changed our mind recently. The dealers are going to be kind and passionate to make sure to satisfy the customers when selling the car but what happens at Service Center after that is everything but kind. I will empathize the fact that the actual engineers are quite nice and professional. With that being said, the Customer Service itself is unprofessional and all about "nickel and dime". The cost of the service is beyond comprehensive and there is NO customer service other than very expensive bill that you will receive. 209 (including the taxes) dollars just for them to take a look at the car and an another bigger bill for a small fix. There are ways to charge customers without making them feel that the dealership is all for the money. The customer service center's goal should be bring the customers back. While they might be thinking that it is only one customer they have lost, it is not just one!!! After being a loyal customer for 10 years (from 2008 to now), we are deeply disappointed with the Customer Service and are done and moving on.

The worst worst customer service experience. I had appointment on Monday 3 30, so I went there in the middle of work then found out the staff that I suppose to meet had LEFT BEFORE 3 30, without leaving me any calls or note that he won’t be there. I do not recommend bringing your car to this dealership. I brought mine in for routine maintenance, and was told I had an oil leak which I had repaired. Less than a month later my engine was destroyed due to a lack of oil. The dealership took no responsibility and provided no compensation at all. The GM told me that this happens to all makes and models of car, even ones that have less than $125k on them. The timing seems a bit coincidental and others in the industry advised us it was likely an error on their part. My car is now worthless, so overall this was a devastating experience.

They have worked really hard to make up for their past let downs if you will. My previous problems still happened and nothing would of came of them if I did not say anything but they did work very diligently to fix them. I will be honest I did not buy my car there but rather in Saskatchewan but moved to Victoria literally days after buying it and since have had all my service done here. If you do not have to get work done here don't. Not that the work is bad but that the price is never as advertised. Today was the last straw and my reason for this review. I went in for one of the regular x amount of kilometre checks VW requires you to do. They called me telling me i needed it and it would be $279.99 so I made an appointment and dropped it off. The lady at the service desk explained all the things they would do to my car today including top up fluids, checks tires and brakes and flush brake lines. She did forget to mention how if I get the brake flush she implied was part of the check up that it was more money. So I went in planning to pay $279 plus taxes and left with a bill of $438 taxes in. An extra $100ish dollars. I have never paid the quoted price, always more. I even called them on i once they promised a $50 credit the next time that I never got. DONT GO!!!!

I've been bringing my 2009 Jetta to Victoria VW since new for service. The service department is excellent! They really go the extra mile to ensure that every time I bring the car in for servicing, I know exactly how much it will cost and when the car will be ready. If they discover any other issues that need to be addressed they call and explain what they are and what the cost will be. There are no surprises. I've never had to bring the car back a second time because a repair wasn't done right.

Disappointing. They improved slightly 2 years ago but have fallen back to their old ways. I have a car under warranty that's giving a dash error, and the service department only questions whether I've damaged the front end, and tells me they need a picture of the error code before service can begin... Update: service reached out to me and I since brought my car in. Faulty headlight replaced and warranty honored. Timely, and communication and service was good. Unfortunate that a google review once again has to prompt proper service, but it is what it is. I appreciate the effort and the service in the end.

1 March 2019 update Changed to 4 stars. The service department listened to my concerns and took appropriate steps to resolve the issue. Hopefully the fluid transmission flush in the multitronic transmission and reset of shifting programs give a few thousand km of driving ???? The one star reflects my disappointment in having to return the car within 24hrs due to power train issue of shuddering when accelerating in 20-60km/h range. The sales experience provided by Brad and Allan deserves five stars. I'll update this review once I get my car back from the service department. I purchased a used 2005 Audi A4 avant 1.8T multitronic with 163k. The car had full maintainance records and I was told it had been through service department. I only used 1/4 tank of fuel and experienced numerous shuddering events that were also felt by my passenger.

My girlfriend and I were searching for a used Tiguan and she called this dealership to ask about one on their website. The sales person told her it was sold (fair enough) but got her number and said he'd call if any come in. No call (hey, we're all human we all lose a contact every now and then). A few weekends later we see a couple used Tiguans on the website again, well we're close by so let's stop in. Those 2 are sold (again fair, guess they're a popular car), however no one other than the receptionist would help us once they heard we'd already made contact with someone over the phone. This is annoying, but they must work on commission and are trying to capitalize on that situation (understandable). Fast forward a couple weeks: we find our Tiguan at a VW dealership elsewhere. Buy it and the extended VW warranty (not a shady 3rd party warranty). Take it camping and the gf feels a wobble in the front passenger wheel. Hey, we've got a bumper-to-bumper warranty, let's get this issue fixed. Vic VW is conveniently located near us, so we make an appointment to take it in. I work out of town so it falls into the gf's list of responsibilities. She drops off the car and goes out to enjoy her day off. Some hours later she calls in to see if there's an ETA for pick-up and is told 30 minutes. She stops by to wait. And wait she does. After 30 minutes, she is told another 30 (annoying but things sometimes later longer than expected). At 2+ hours of waiting in the dealership however I recieve a call from a very livid girlfriend (I can't even make this girl livid! I've tried and only failed. This genuinely spooked me). Turns out Service can't figure out what the issue is so they're putting in an inquiry to VW to see if they have any ideas (grudgingly understandable at this point). Charge us the $100 deductible of our warranty to "balance the tires". Now we're out $100 and our car isn't fixed. The next day the gf is called by the dealership and told we want to sell our Tiguan (oh hamburgers, what lemon did we buy?) and he'd help us get a good deal on the trade-in and a new one. When questioned why we want to sell it, doesn't our warranty cover our issue, it's discovered the call is from Sales (Anthony in particular, who seems popular in other reviews here). Upon learning we've had our Tiguan a grand total of 12 days he says he must have been mistaken. So to circle back, Vic VW will not help us buy a used car, but wants to sell our car and a brand new vehicle to us. The day after that, Service calls us. Ze Germans have delivered a couple options of what the issue may be. However VW Vic estimates 6 hours to diagnose what the issue might be AND that is not covered by the warranty (totalling about $600). By this time we've contacted the VW dealership we purchased our car from and they agree this should not happen within 2 weeks of purchase and their mechanics will take a look. Also the VW 60,000km tune up they did on our car prior to our purchase had our tires balanced so they're suspicious as to why we paid $100 for that at Vic (it apparently wasn't for fixing or diagnosing the problem). UPDATE: The other VW dealership fixed my car's drive train in 6 hours (the same amount of time Vic VW would need to diagnose the issue) and free of charge thanks to my warranty and hearing about Vic's treatment. Car drives perfectly now. I do not foresee any situation where I will ever return to this dealership. Tl;dr: Just go elsewhere. This is a repeating prime example of why dealerships have negative stereotypes.

Just got back home after picking up my new 2018 e-Golf. I was blown away by the exceptional service by Dane, Brad and everyone else at VW Victoria on this car purchase. I had test driven a new eGolf and loved the car, but didn't want a new one. Dane looked out for me, and when a pristine lease return car came in, he called me up. The eGolfs are very hard to find, as only 1000 were sold in Canada in 2018, so it was amazing that he found one for me. I wanted to move up to an electric car, and get rid of my old Jeep Cherokee ICE car. I also wanted to take advantage of the BC ScrapIt program that offers $3000 towards an electric car. Although VW Victoria didn't have any of these grants left, they gave me a very fair trade-in value for the car, and this made the purchase very affordable. They even held the car for me until I could get over from my home on Pender Island to do the purchase. They made the whole purchase process very easy, and I drove the car home the same day I went over to pick it up. The car is a Certified Pre-Owned Volkswagen, which has many advantages. It was in immaculate condition when I picked it up, and had gone through an extremely thorough inspection and maintenance procedure. I received a CarFax report with the purchase, which was also valuable. Couldn't be happier with this car! It has exceptional performance and amazing features. I look forward to many years of gas-free driving. Congratulations on your great service! You made a customer for life.

I recently purchased a 2017 Golf GTI from Brent Moroz at Volkswagen Victoria. The whole process which included dealings with Matt the sales manager, Dan the general manager, and Richard in the finance office amounted to the best car shopping experience I've ever had. I was never made to feel like I was being a hassle even though I used up hours of their time driving various cars and getting Brent and Matt to write up an absurd amount of quotes on different options for a car they knew I might not purchase. The people at Volkswagen Victoria bent over backwards to make sure I got exactly what I was looking for and on Christmas eve when most people would want to go home to their families after a long day at work, all they cared about was making sure I was happy. In fact Richard in the business office stayed well into the evening after everyone else was gone tirelessly answering our questions about extended warranties and various packages. Matt who had to drive three hours to Courtney to be with family and friends stayed until after 3pm to ensure he got us the deal that worked best for us. Even Chris and Steve in the parts department printed up various price quotes on different accessories knowing I might not purchase the car. Michelle and Kelsey in service spoke with me about servicing costs and intervals in detail also knowing I might not purchase the car. Much thanks to Anthony and Mike who are also part of their sales team for their help. I have never experienced a higher level of service anywhere. Never go to this place to get your car fix!! First of all, way to expensive. Second, they never fix the issue the first time and you have to come back few times to get it totally fixed plus you'll have to pay more. And last butnot least, few weeks/months after they fixed your car another issue will come up.. Its a set up! Never go to this place ever again!

Our VW Golf Wagon was having battery issues on Friday, so we brought it to the dealership at 3:45 PM. We thought we would have to leave the car in the shop all weekend to have the battery replaced. Your staff member Michelle went the extra mile to have the battery tested and replaced by 4:15 PM on Friday – which was amazing. We really appreciate that she went the extra mile to arrange to have the battery replaced that afternoon – even though the service staff were all booked up for the rest of the day.
