Pleasant people but very chaotic and uninformed. Service Person told me that it would be a minimum of $130/hr for EACH diagnostic. I have a brake light out, a window that doesn't open, a door that doesn't open. He said"yes the diagnostics will cost $390 MINIMUM before anything is fixed. I called another mechanic who told me that is ridiculous. I went in because of a recall. Got home and see on my bill that the recall not addressed. My bill had an oil change and new brake light bulb only . I still had 2 prepaid oil changes so after at least 30 minutes, they reversed the cost of the oil change. The shuttle now only picks up until 330 pm. Who gets off work that early?

Had a great experience purchasing a car at Victoria Hyundai. Collin Levesque, Sales Consultant, was extremely helpful and patient. He even washed my old car when a seagull pooped on it. The whole car! My only gripe would be that the car I purchased did not go full screen with Android Auto, only Apple Carplay, and a different salesperson asked to assist said it was an Android Auto issue not Hyundai. Not so as statement from Hyundai rep months ago reflects in an online news article and I think they would have known this. Switched to Iphone and all good. Overall, it was a very positive experience and I would recommend Collin to anyone who needs a new car. Love my new Hyundai!

Yesterday was my first service apt with my new vehicle. It was not a great experience. I arrived on time for my basic oil change apt at 10:30am and was told they were short staffed and would need my vehicle will approx 4:30pm. Really!! 6 hours on one of Victoria' hotest days on record. And even though had arranged for shuttle beforehand, they could not take me to Sidney where I now live. So I had to "hang out at one of the malls" which made for a LONG afternoon. When I entered Service Office door, the woman handed me paperwork and asked me to move over and line up (no one else was in line) in area of service consultants booths. Two men were working on some files and after approx 10min of no acknowledgement, I sat down on a couch to rest. After a period of time, I stood again on one of the spots. FINALLY one of the consultants asked if he could assist. Wow!!!! After approx 5.5hrs in the heat at the mall, I called rhe shuttle. I am also.going to asume my vehicle was already finished and sitting outside BUT no one called to let me know it was ready. After getting my keys and signing off, I was pleased to see the comp wash job was a good one (except for terrible job of front window which I will now today have to go and get the bugs off) I discovered they had not vaccumed the front floor mats as promised. I called and had to return for that job. The young man did do but no apology was offered. In summary, my first experience at Hyundai Service Victoria was horrible. I have to HOPE future visits are totally better.

Took my vehicle in to get a new fob with programming. I was scheduled for an appointment four weeks later. When I arrived for my appointment, I stood at the service desk line for over 10 minutes with no other customers in line. Lots of service workers walking around. The floor manager asked someone to check me in and after waiting a few mins, he finally checked me in himself. It's worse than waiting at ICBC drivers' services. I was told it would take 2-3 hours (which wasn't communicated to me when I booked the appointment). Also, I would have to wait longer for a complimentary car wash and vacuum. Waited in the lobby for 2 hours and paid for the new fob (which works excellently). Returned to my car that wasn't washed or vacuumed. I only went here because it's the only place to get a fob for my vehicle. I won't be back for any reason. Overall customer service 2/5 Parts 5/5

The actual service experience was good. Booking the appointment was a nightmare. The on line booking system that one is encouraged to use is not driven or controlled by the dealer (Kot auto group) so when you've booked your service at a specific time you get no confirmation from the service centre and when you call them they know nothing about your booking and as they are simultaneously booking they are over booked. Someone needs to get a grip on this situation. Actual experience with the Rep and communications with them was prompt and factual.

I drive a Genesis 2016 G80 and experienced an issue while travelling on the Island, not able to get a proper reading on the engine oil level due to a faulty oil dipstick. I was very pleasantly surprised to see that the Victoria Hyundai dealership had a Genesis specialized technician, which is very rare here in Canada. He was super friendly, resourceful and happy to help me, despite the fact that I did not have an appointment. I would recommend any Genesis owner living on the Island, to visit this dealership.

Very unpleasant experience with their service department. Very disorganized and expensive service. No clear explanation as to what was happening and no idea as to why their app had told us to go there... you miss 2 days of work for nothing... the answer I got was "someone push the wrong button." As if that was funny or something. Left my car for a simple service that actually took 3 hours! To find a battery that somehow due to bad design of the car gotten under the drivers seat. $600 dollars to find it and remove it. Never going back again.

I gave this dealership 2 stars only because of an amazing sales women named Holly otherwise they would get NO STARS. I was working out a deal on a car that has an issue with the engine but was willing to have them work with me on it. Numbers were given, plan was in the final steps and Holly arranged for the GM to call me... Never happened! Then I get a message around 5pm from Holly that they sold it right under feet! She said she couldn't hold it because I didn't place a deposit but I was never asked to put one yet. I wasn't told there was someone interested in the car. No call prior to selling it under my feet. This was all in the span of 2 days. This dealership only cares about the sale. My husband also was working with another sales man named Kieran on a different car when we were down in Victoria the weekend before. This was how I became interested in the car. I test drove it and had my car appraised. He was going to have the engine tick looked at and call me. A week goes by and no word from him. Husband and I text him. CRICKETS. I called the dealership and that's how I met Holly. Besides Holly this place is slimmy and shady. They are only out for the sale and don't care about their integrity or customer experience. Every man for them selves.

Love my 2021 Kona Ev. Vehicle was not purchased from this dealer(since they do not participate scrap it program) since day one the Kona has a tapping noise from the rear brake when hitting on the brake pedal. Googled it, seems like a pretty common issue for the 21 models and people posting online that other dealerships already acknowledge there will be a recall coming out for that. It’s quite annoying to have the tapping noise from the brake so I decided to bring the vehicle in to get it checked over. The first visit when I was trying to check in, the advisor acknowledged right away said “oh yeah there is a recall coming out for that” without asking me how to replicate the noise etc . After few hours of waiting, got a phone call saying car is all done. Went to pick up the car and they told me there is no parts. They have order me the parts and will notify me when parts arrive. Fair enough, no complaint for that. Few weeks later got a call from them saying parts are here so I scheduled another appointment to get the new parts installed. Dropped off the car there and a lady advisor has no idea what I was in for, thought I was coming in for a brake replacement or whatever and was trying to quote me the price. I told her that was a recall and parts are here. So after almost whole day of waiting, the car is finally done. I sent my wife to pick up the vehicle, she was standing at service department for 10 mins without acknowledging her( staffs chatting at the back). Weird thing on the invoice says program the vehicle with a different line( no idea why brake pad replacement will needs programming) On the way back home the tapping noise is still there and become more frequent when car slowing down itself(which did not happen before) and the scary thing was the vehicle has bunch of warning lights popped up on dash and driver side door unlocked itself and pop open on HIGHWAY. Thank god nothing happened but that by common sense has something to do with the programming. Few days later, service manager was trying to follow up the service. Emailed her with the concern, the answer was “ wow, crazy things happen, but how was the service itself?” Well, to me, the craftsmanship is part of the service itself. And I was inquiring with the service manager why there was a programming needed for brake job and no reply since. Well, guess have to live with the brake noise with a new vehicle or go upland to give other store a try when I have time. Edit* New service manager Will reached out to me right after the posting. Much appreciated for the response. Booked another appointment in to check that same concern. Technician verified the concern but there is no solution provided by Hyundai Canada. I know there is nothing dealer can really do but it kinda sucks for a new car has clunking sound.

My experience at Hyundai Victoria was exceptional. I was introduced to Scott Muir through a friend and I knew right away that I would be doing business with these guys. He is a straight shooter and a super positive guy. He introduced me to his sales rep Dan Houel and we were off to the races. Dan is good guy and definitely personable. Nick from sales was great to deal with! Highly recommended, five stars. We were less impressed with financing as we were signed up for the wrong type of extended warranty and our scrap it application was not processed on the first go. We rearranged our Saturday plans and had to scramble for a babysitter to make it in on a Saturday so the sale could be processed for month end.(We were happy to do that so sales could get their bonuses, because Nick was so nice) Once I reviewed the documents I discovered the mistake in the warranty(we wanted EBR) and that our scrap-it application did not get pushed through. I had to make a second trip and correct those issues. Ryan did fix the mistakes fairly efficiently once I made him aware, but issued no apology. Everyone makes mistakes, but this could have been handled a bit better. This review was changed to 4 from 5, due to the experience on Monday.

My experience at Victoria Hyundai was quite positive. This is actually the third vehicle we've bought there in the past 15 years. The sales team was professional and did not pressure me. I came in asking to test drive an EV, and they gave me one overnight. I fell in love with the Ioniq (my second EV) and they gave me a good deal for my trade in. I've been there 3 times. First time it was evident the salespeople were there to only sell higher end cars. They didn't even care if I bought a car or not because I had a low budget at the time. Then, I bought a 2015 Hyundai elsewhere and brought it to that store for a key replacement. *Update* - It's taken me some time to rewrite my review as my initial experience was so pleasant. At the time of purchase I was told my options for extended warranty and it was made clear that with the warranty I chose I would have paint chip repairs for the duration of my loan and tire/rim repairs for the first 12 months because "with new vehicles people tend to curb their cars and we want to offer replacements within the first year of ownership". When it came time for me to use this warranty to repair some minor scratches and have my rims on the car fixed/replaced I was informed that I was misinformed and that the warranty does not cover anything that wasn't caused from the natural elements. Upon the initial purchase of the car it was handed over to me with chewed gum in the passenger door and what looked like chocolate on the back headrests; however, the team did take the car back and detail it which I appreciated. Now that I have had the car for 7 months, it already has squeaky breaks which I will need to have looked at - I did not expect this from a 2021 Kona. I do love my car, but I feel manipulated and lied to based on what I as told at the initial purchase. *original review* Purchased a vehicle from Tanner this week. Dan Houle and Bruce Blake have restored my faith in the car buying process. I purchased my last two vehicles privately because I was sick and tired of the "slick" salesperson persona. A few years ago, the local Dodge dealership cost me roughly $35k in loses after the hybrid battery on a very expensive SUV died with less than 170k km on the Hemi .. but oops warranty is over, too bad. Dan was thoughtful and consultative. He took the time to evaluate my needs more than his need to "get me in the car today". There were no games during negotiation. Bruce Blake was fantastic with getting all the terms & paperwork done. He took the time to answer my questions. His answers were precise and on point (yes, I cross checked what he said). KOT Auto Group has earned my trust. I would recommend checking them out if you are in the market for a new or used vehicle on Vancouver Island.

So, I've read reviews on this dealership and the majority of people have been pleased with their service so I wont discredit them on one bad experience had by myself. I purchased a vehicle from the dealership. The deal for the vehicle and the process was simple, no pressure, and as I was in a hurry so they did everything to the best of their capabilities to make the deal happen and get me back to work. We shook hands on a deal and got the call saying it was all approved that night. My fault for showing up unexpectedly to sign papers, when I arrived at the dealership they were not ready for me. They even changed the terms of the deal. Which was frusterating. I told them what I wanted and after they said yes they changed it up on me. I know the banks are the people who create terms but you shouldnt be telling a customer the deal is good when it really was not. Upon delivery of the vehicle. They told me the vehicle was good to go so I show up with my 2 year old daughter ready to just jump into our new vehicle and go home. When I arrived they apologized and said they needed to put gas in it. Not a big deal I'll take gas haha. We waited for him to arrive back from the gas station. When he started backing it up towards me I noticed a brake light was out. I pointed that out they immediately fixed it. Now being at the dealership with my 2 year old for an hour and half it was starting to get difficult to wait. They arrived back and I put the car seat in, put my daughter in, jumped in the driver seat and bam I notice a rock chip straight infront of my eyes starting to spider. Now I'm frusterated, because I feel like that were trying to pull a fast one with me and I was not getting the quality of car that I had expected from this dealership. They made an appointment for me to bring it back the following week. Arriving at service the following week, I showed up for my appointment and was told they wouldnt have enough time that day to do it and to bring it back the next week. That's annoying. At the end of the day everything was dealt with and done so I am happy with my purchase. The experience of getting it was not great. Sales team is young and could definetly benefit from more training. 1. Big mistake my sales guy seems to be making is booking clients for service on your day off. Try making sure your clients are coming in for service when you are at the dealership. Even if that means making the appointments for your clients. By you being there for their service days it gives you an opportunity to check in with them, help them if they need it, and they see your face everytime they come in so the next time they need a vehicle who do you think they'll go to? The guy that took care of them for the last 4 years! Its new way of selling you need to provide more of a service now or people are just going to shop online. And talk to whoever responds to their message. Just one free tip for your young sales team. Get them booking their clients service appointments, and that could possibly avoid a lot of people from leaving your dealership to go to another and bring about more referrals .

What a nonsense experience booking your cars service request with this dealership. First, their online system is busted so it gives you false dates that are actually not available. Then, when you call a rep tells you we do basic oil changes in the morning. The next time you call, another lady is fine with booking service requests in the afternoon. But wait, there is another catch now. This second lady wants my Vin number. Now I'm sure these dealerships can check that when I bring my car because I have never been asked the Vin number in dozens of dealerships ive got my car serviced before. And mind you, those dealerships are more professional than this Victorian monopoly. Anyway, they won't be getting my business. I'd rather take my family on a day trip to Vancouver and have the vehicle serviced there.

tl;dr: Fantastic sales department with a astoundingly incompetent service department which makes Hyundai's 5-year warranty worthless if you live in Victoria. *** My experience with the sales department has been exceptional. A few months ago, while searching for a car for a friend, we met a sales consultant who went above and beyond to find us the perfect vehicle. He was straight with us, listened to our needs and requirements, and worked hard to present us with multiple options despite the specific search criteria we had. If you are just looking to buy a car, and do not have/do not care about the warranty (or are moving away), this is a top-notch dealership. If not… read on. *** The quality of the service department is mind boggling, especially in contrast to the sales department. There have been a lot of red flags I tried to be understanding about as bad luck, or at worst, negligence. That is until learning that my service advisor would go so far as to deceive me for weeks with a bald-faced lie. I’ve had two warranty issues – The first was while the car was only a year old with a leak in the AC system. Despite multiple occurrences, inspections, and obvious symptoms, they could not find the source of the leak. To their credit, they were at least willing to put in free band aid solutions of recharging the AC system periodically until I had the car properly inspected at a different Hyundai dealership while travelling (Who promptly found the leak, arranged a loaner, and permanently resolved the issue). I’m having a Déjà vu moment as I’m going through a second issue with Hyundai Victoria (Only option due to the pandemic), this time with a turn stalk issue. The first visit, I was told the problem could not be reproduced, and to come back with evidence or else I’ll be charged a diagnostic fee if they can not reproduce the issue the next visit. So I came in with plenty of video and audio evidence, and things started to look promising. My service advisor called me back telling me they got warranty approval, but they would call me in a few weeks to book the repair as they have to order the parts. Six weeks later when I made a follow up call, a manager at the service dept tells me they have no record of the part order, or any recent warranty approvals for my vehicle. Hyundai Canada corporate confirmed they did not even receive any ‘request’ regarding this issue from the dealership. After complaining to Hyundai Canada, there's suddenly something they 'forgot' to inspect across my 3 other service visits for this issue, and the service manager wants to bring the car in again for the 4th time now. As my warranty has now expired during the year-long process in which Victoria Hyundai hasn't even managed to diagnose the issue despite being given three service visits, and multiple videos, I'm told I'll be charged around $400 for the inspection if anything else is found. Things sounded fishy, so I did some due diligence calling around to other service dealers. Funnily enough, it turns out the issue I'm having is known on my model of vehicle. Furthermore, the issue isn't even remotely related to the inspection Victoria Hyundai has been presenting as my next best option. *** In the grand scheme of things, my Tucson has been extremely reliable with only minor issues that were quickly addressed by other Hyundai dealerships across BC. Unfortunately for anyone residing in Victoria, the quality of the service department here turns Hyundai’s superb 5-year warranty into nothing more than lip service and a headache inducing nightmare. I did hear there's a new service manager as of this month, and I can only hope he can turn things around here.

The only good thing about my recent experience at Victoria Hyundai was the Sales associate who treated us very well. We had inquired about a car and everything was great until we went with a different brand of vehicle. We had a deposit down for a car that they made sound like a refund would be easy if we had chosen to not go with the car. Which it was NOT. By the time we receive our refund by mail it’ll have been 4 weeks since we asked for it and even then we only got it because WE had called them multiple times. On top of that the front desk reception was EXTREMELY rude and disrespectful to us and kept telling us things like “that isn’t my job” when we asked about our refund. When apparently our cheque had been sitting there for 2 weeks but no one had the decency to tell us. But yet of course, how could we forget. That “isn’t her job”. Hello All... I wanted to share an experience that I had last week with a Hyundai dealership in Victoria BC, which I wanted to bring it to your attention. Apologies for the long email but this is what happened and such practices hurts the brand reputation: We wanted to purchase a Pre-Owned vehicle that was advertised at a Hyundai dealership website and auto trader. March 31st – 11 AM - We call at the dealership, talk to sales team, and inquire about the vehicle availability. The sale rep confirms that the vehicle is available and we asked for car fax report to be sent. At 1.24 PM – We received the Car fax report. At 2.24 PM – Since the pictures of the car on the Auto Trader were taken before the car was cleaned, we asked for more pictures to be sent. We also talk about trading my car and so send our vehicle details. The Rep said that he will get the car cleaned and will send additional pictures first thing tomorrow. Next day - April 01st at 2.02 PM - He gets the car cleaned, takes additional pictures and sends them to us. At 3.22 PM - We liked the car (in the pictures) and now start negotiating the price. By 5 PM - The price of the Car was finalized at and now we had the deal. We also discussed additional costs like 599$ documentation fee + total Tax Less my trade in value. We now had the final total agreed price. We were planning to leave on Friday morning to pick up the car but being a state holiday we were informed that the dealership was closed and so this got pushed to Saturday. Saturday morning – 8.30 AM - We talk to sales Rep and confirmed things once again. Before leaving from Vancouver to Victoria, we asked if they could deliver the car today after completing the safety inspection. At 9.20 AM - He confirms that the safety inspection and detailing of the car will be done and you can come and pick up the car. I also confirm the final $ amount to be paid again, mode of payment etc. At 9.30 AM – We are on the way to Ferry terminal which is 45 Min drive planning to catch the 11 AM ferry. 10.15 AM – The rep texts us back and informs that the car needs 2 new tires, new breaks and alignment since that was a major safety issue with the car and he cannot deliver the car without that getting fixed. At the ferry terminal door step 10.30 AM: Now he says that the car won’t be ready by end of the day because of the unavailability of parts and so discussed this with the rep and only after an agreement, we decided not to go to Victoria and instead we will head back home but we still have a deal. We would pick up the car when it is ready to be picked up early next week since the dealership was closed on Sunday and Monday (Easter Monday). At 10.45 AM – We decide that we would do a FaceTime later today once we were back home and at least see the vehicle. At 12 noon – The rep confirm that the service center confirmed to him that the stains on the front seat could be removed since they have time and they will start working on it. At 2 PM – We get a call from the Rep, he asks for a deposit of the vehicle, and so I provided the Credit card information. All good until now. At 2.07 PM – He texts us that the vehicle is on a drive with another customer. He gets to buy the car if he decides to do so. Wow…. (Vehicle with a known safety issue on the Road endangering public safety ??) I immediately call back and ask what is going on and now the next thing we hear is that another customer is considering the car. Wow… Surprising hhmm.. At 3 PM – We talk to the sales manager and explain the we have been talking for this car since last 2 days and this car is ours since we already have a done deal (with a token money paid as soon as it was asked for) At 5.34 PM – We get a call back saying sorry the car is sold and delivered. Bottom line- Never do business with people who are not truthful.

I cannot say enough good things about the service that I received from Kieran Carlson and others at Victoria Hyundai. I first did my homework and concluded that my best bet re selling my 2015 Elantra was to go through the dealer. So one day last week I phoned the dealer around noon and was transferred to Kieran Carlson. Kieran asked me if I was available that afternoon! I was and took the car in. Kieran arranged to have the appraisal done immediately. He then went through the exceptionally fair appraisal with me. Then while my cheque was being prepared I was taken home in a very safe shuttle to pick up the spare keys. When I returned the cheque was ready. And the final details re the paperwork to transfer ownership and cancel the insurance were completed! All of this happened lickety split! Amazing!

My Sonata recently needed immediate service as a problem occurred which impacted the ability to drive my car and a driving trip was scheduled in one days time. The service department and its technicians and mechanics were very very busy. I have to say I get less impressed every time I go! So this is a wonderful way for you to up your services! I brought my car in early at 530 am because I had to work and knowing that it might take an hour to change the oil! I gave a time of 130 pm to pick up or after 530 because I had a split shift and that was my only time off! So expecting to get my car at my lunch break I received a call during my shift stating that they were so busy that I should look to pick up my car in the evening! Well great! You could have book me on a less busy day. This was the first time I dropped off my car and had to wait all day! Also I had to leave work early just to get my keys for my vehicle because I finished after 530 when you closed! So I am looking to get a refund on my vip oil change package ASAP so I can go somewhere else to get service! And I never got my car wash! My car was there all day so no excuse! Someone can wash a car within 12 hours! After spending over $50,000 I want some service! This is not like buying McDonald’s and they forgot fries! That is over my one year salary so I expect something better than a used car lot experience

Seems like all they care for is profit. I drive a 2017 Tuscon, I receive calls often asking how my Santa Fe is doing. I request for them to stop the calls but still get them. Not long ago I got new tires as it is law for winter tires to drive around BC outside the island, went in for a quick wiper fix and was told the tires, brakes, and wheel alignment were damaged and will cost 300 to fix. The Tucson only had 25000 when I went in so that makes no sense. I went to a hyundai dealer in Alberta for a oil change and he said everything is okay. If I plan on a new vehicle, it won't be Hyundai Victoria

I'm a little late posting this review (sorry Collin!) but I feel like it's still well deserved. I am so beyond thrilled with my new Hyundai! Everyone at Victoria Hyundai is so kind and welcoming, but Collin especially. We walked in on a whim on a Wednesday afternoon, and Collin was extremely prompt and attentive with us despite having a few appointments that were about to roll in around the same time. Even though he was busy, he took the time to show us the ins and outs of the Venue (not once but twice!) which we greatly appreciated. After having some rather disappointing experiences at other car dealerships in Victoria, we were blown away by Collin's knowledge and charm! I've had the Venue for just about 3 weeks now, and I'm so happy with it! I will definitely be sending all my family and friends to Collin in the future. Thank you Victoria Hyundai!

You said you’re seeking “perfection “. Perfection is not possible in this business. I realize that the business is overloaded. Not to mention the completely inadequate parking lot. You cannot really predict when the car will be ready since unexpected things happen regularly. In my case, since I live on a gulf island, I cannot leave my car there early in the morning and wait all day for it to be serviced because they are behind schedule. I have to get the ferry back to not incur additional hotel expenses. Also, it is difficult for me to do much shopping while waiting without a car. A ride to a shopping centre does not help much since i may need to shop at more than one location and cannot carry everything on foot. If perfection is the goal then I would need to be told, when I make an appointment for 9am on a day, that the car will be ready by 1 pm for example. I know, impossible. On another note, your service people are very nice and patient so there is no problem there. Update: After talking to the service manager he indicated that because of my comment they have adjusted their way of servicing people from Gulf Islands so that they can make the ferry back to their home in time. Customers with island addresses will automatically be flagged when they make an appointment. Because of this I will adjust my star rating up.

Steve from the service shop introduced me to Andrew after receiving news that my old vehicle required a costly repair that might not be worth it for the price of the vehicle itself. I was not expecting to have to purchase a new car and the idea of having to go through the process was a very stressful thought. Andrew was very caring and concerned about my needs for a new vehicle, he eased my anxiety and stress and I found him very easy to talk to and I trusted him in helping me find the perfect new car. After explaining my idea of the perfect car, Andrew showed me the 2015 Hyundai Elantra GT and I test drove it. Andrew had really listened to my concerns about vehicles and brought me a car that met every one of my needs. Since I was still shocked about the idea of having to purchase a new vehicle, Andrew ensured me that I did not have to make my decision right away, he actually encouraged me to go home and think about it before making any decisions -- a suggestion I truly appreciated. I was able to take the vehicle overnight since my old vehicle was unsafe to drive. When I came in the next day I knew that I wanted to purchase the car. I was handed off to both Bruce and Jared to deal with the financing of the car and again was treated with the best service. They walked me through the paperwork and answered any and all questions I had. Everyone I dealt with at Victoria Hyundai was very understanding, personable, and I felt very respected and comfortable during the entire process of purchasing my new vehicle. I love my new car and I honestly recommend Victoria Hyundai and every employee that I had the pleasure of dealing with to anyone searching to purchase a new vehicle.

I recently bought a fine electric Kona model from these people. The dealership and the people working there were faultless. That's the 4 stars. It would have been 5, if the parent multinational car manufacturer were equally faultless. Offering 2 different electric car models puts Hyundai in the first rank of conventional car makers, behind of course Tesla, who makes only their 4 electric models, and solar and batteries, and doesn't touch infernal combustion fossil foolishness dinosaur technology planetary coffin nails, even with the longest of poles. But Hyundai, along with every other conventional car maker, hasn't found the courage, to abandon the extinction level toxic stone age technology, and move totally into the electrical age. And, until they do, I CAN'T give them a 5 star rating. Flirting with extinction, for a few more years profit, from an obsolete, toxic technology, seems too stupidly suicidal to applaud. But the LOCAL dealership was so great, that I dragged parent company, that I'd rate 2 stars, alone, to a combined 4 stars (5 for local dealer and 2 for parent company).

Took my Ioniq BEV in for its first service, as well as getting winter tires and new summer wheels. John and Beth in parts were great to deal with, and Mikkala in service did a great job of making sure my requests were met and kept me well-informed. Not sure which tech(s) worked on the car, but they did a superb job, and the car came back clean and ready to go. Only problem I had is something completely out of their control at the moment, where there was no "Loaner" vehicle available for the three hours my car was in the shop. It's understandable with Covid that inventory is low, but when it is included and described in the "Documentation" fees I paid when I bought the car, it's a small annoyance.

Very disappointed in the service department. I called and booked a service appointment for a specific time and date and even noted that we were coming from out of town. When we arrived for our appointment the person working the department said that they don't do appointments and told me we would have to leave the car for at least 5 hours as they just do drop offs. Christina was very good --- green but patient, eager and enthusiastic. What we enjoyed about her was that she was up front and honest. When she didn't know something (totally understandable as she was new), she immediately asked a colleague/manager or looked it up --- she didn't try to make things up. Another good attribute was that she didn't "promise" us anything --- she was always accurate in her words, ensuring to us that she would try her best but that she couldn't guarantee a certain outcome -an excellent quality. We had one unfortunate blip about a wireless charging pad but Christina was very empathetic and Scott, the GM, made up for it the best way he could which was appreciated. I used to dread going to a car dealer. Previous experiences have gone something like this ... I arrive ready to buy the car that I have meticulously researched. Then along comes the slick salesman. All of a sudden I am getting all this other stuff that I don't want, but that apparently I need. Then we agree on a price and the guy goes off to get the managers signature. After the appropriate scripted amount of time he is back and guess what...the price is not doable. I know I am suckered but what can I do, I sign. This is the opposite of my experience at Victoria Hyundai. Even though I am in Vancouver I was recommended by a friend to go to this dealer. The salesman was pleasant, I got exactly the car that I wanted and the price was more than fair. To say the least I am more than satisfied and would recommend this dealer to anyone. I’m sure vehicle sales are fine but getting your vehicle maintained here is unprofessional. They will suggest things get changed that you could easily do yourself just to make an extra dollar, not only that, if you leave your vehicle for more than one day (this includes the day you drop it off) they will harass you with multiple phone calls a day, leave rude voice mails, suggest you pay with your credit card over the phone (even if you feel unsafe in doing that), talk rudely about you to their coworkers about you being busy and not able to pick it up right away. I will not be going back to this place. Save your money and look for a mechanic elsewhere.

I purchased a package for oil changes for the next 4years when I bought my car here and had to move out of province before one year was up. This package is only good at this one dealership and they have refused to refund me for services I will not be using. I was offered the possibility of selling it to a friend, but all my friends are also military and therefore subject to postings and/or they have their own oil change thing figured out so this option is a poor one with no takers. I did think they would be willing to refund this as a good business practice since my posting came as a surprise, and am very disappointed with the service. I also had to call three times to get soneone on the phone as my 2 messages were ignored.

They suggested a transmission flush, and I asked him how much, he told me $167.00 so I said ok to that. The bill for this totalled $319.00 I see they also charged me for the oil change of $79.95 Which I will now have to sort out. And a tire rotation so my bill instead of $167.00 as he said was $490.00 NOT VERY HAPPY.

They are not located on Gorge Road they are on Bridge Road and I would like Hyundai to fix that instruction on the website as I had to walk the block to figure that out. This is a 5tar rating for the Service Dept. They communicated well with me, delivered what they promised and answered questions. I came away with confidence that I had actual Service Support from this firm. Parking lot is tight to get into but I learned that I can just turn over the keys (to a concierge) to park and they will pull it out for me too. They are great parkers. Just don't use them. Make the drive to Duncan. First time I showed up for my appnt and they told me I didn't have one. Now today I call to confirm my appnt for next Monday which was booked 3 weeks ago and they tell me there was no appnt booked. First time I brought the car in in the fall they didn't tell me they didn't do my recall until I came to pick up the car. At which point they said the mechanic wouldn't do the recall as I had stuff in the trunk and he couldn't get to the battery. There was a Tupperware with my road safety stuff in the trunk thats it! Furthermore, the only other item in my trunk was my business magnets that go on my vehicle doors. I took them off the car and put them in the trunk when I dropped off the car so that they wouldn't get damaged. Well when the mechanic opened the trunk and moved a couple things around to decide he didn't want to do the work, he closed the trunk on my magnet and damaged it by putting the trunk clasp right through it. Crystal the service manager said to order new ones and I'd be reimbursed. I ordered new ones and since that day Crystal hasn't taken any of my calls or reimbursed me. When I had to bring the car back in for a second time that month with an empty trunk so that the tech would do the recall they offered vallet service to come pick up my car and bring it back that day, as they had caused me so much prior inconvenience. Well at 5pm that day we got a call from a service advisor who told us we could come get our car. We explained we were both at work and that the car was to be returned via vallet service. Not only did this woman try to guilt us, tell us there was no valley option for today cause she had to get home, but she was also rude beyond belief. After several calls telling us know how impossible it would be to get our car home as everyone was done for the day, she finally got the car back to us. Which was of course followed by rude guilt tripping antics. I left Hyundai Victoria 2 voice-mails and completed 2 of their automatic surveys over the phone. I was very clear in my messages and surveys that my experiences with their dealership was brutal but that I would like to speak with the manager so that they could try and correct things. Never did anyone call me back. I told them I'd be writing a review and would like to offer them an opportunity to speak with me first but again no one ever called. Worst dealership I have ever dealt with. I now will only deal with Duncan Hyundai even though it's much further from my home I'm Victoria.

We brought our perfectly working vehicle for an oil change and after driving 2 km a check engine turned on and car was sort of chocking. Now they claim it is a coincidence that it died just 2 km after us picking up the car and want to pin on us replacement of other parts. Again, not covered with our extended warranty. The likelihood of something getting broken literary after service is next to 0. They tested the car before oil change and nothing was wrong with it. Stay awaaaaaay

Bought a pre-owned vehicle from Dan Houle this past week at Victoria Hyundai. I LOVE my new SUV and from initial emails with him to meeting with Dan and right up through to him answering emails in the days after the sale Dan has been incredibly friendly, helpful and an absolute pleasure to deal with. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the vehicle we looked at, helped arrange for a courtesy car while we waited for my new vehicle to be ready, checked with us throughout our time at the dealership as we dealt with financing and insurance and just made sure that our needs were met and our questions answered. I am very pleased with our experience at Victoria Hyundai thanks to our dealings with Dan Houle in particular - we did find everyone else there to be friendly as well but our main interactions of course were with Dan. I highly recommend Dan Houle if you are looking to buy from Victoria Hyundai and definitely we will be back to see him in future when we or our family are looking for another vehicle.

I’m extremely disappointed in the service I received. I have brought my vehicle in for service and detailing to Hyundai since I bought it from the dealership and have always been fine with the service. I was supposed to have my vehicle back on Friday afternoon and I still would have been content had it been finished Saturday. I did not receive a call all weekend and when I phoned to get an update I got an automated voicemail twice on Saturday and again on Sunday. I had to then call again on Monday morning and finally talked to Neil who booked my vehicle in originally. He said that I did not receive a call because he was not in to make sure on Saturday. Neil also advised me that you do not cover rental cars as you have loaners. I have asked twice in the past if you had loaners and was told the first time “No” and the second time I asked I was told they were only for longer term service. I then asked Neil if any loaners were available Friday morning had I asked and he advised me that there was not one available on Friday until 2pm so that wouldn’t have worked anyways. I struggled to get off of work before the Service department closed but I had, obviously, not planned on needing time off on Monday. I usually get off work around 8-10pm as I run my own business and attend two schools. I then had to keep the rental for Tuesday as I needed to be at work before Hyundai or Enterprise were open. Finally, I picked up my car and found that after paying my detailing bill; the front of the car was still covered in grime and dirt and because it sat in your lot for 4 days it was covered in dust and dirt all over it that had caked on while it dried after you had washed it. At that point, I had left work early and payed hundreds of dollars more than I expected to at Enterprise because of your Service department and had also payed you nearly $300 dollars for a job that was done with complete disregard for quality and customer service. My temper was pretty short at that point but I don’t believe it was Neil’s fault and I didn’t have anything nice to say so I just took photos before I left the service lot to show the complete lack of regard my vehicle and my time was treated with. See below. I also asked about taking a quick look at the brakes when I dropped it off as the front driver’s side was making a clicking noise. I was told that their wouldn’t be time but that they do drive it and they’ll make a note if they hear anything. The report reflects that they did not check the brakes but the fluid was okay and the “Brake System” was checked and is okay as well. So I’ll have to take it back in for service because either it’s a systems component that was missed or my actual breaks, in either case I need to have it serviced again immediately. I don’t expect anything to be rectified after you review the invoice I assume that was just instant placation to get me off the phone. I also don’t have the time, energy or money to dump on services that I need to book a month in advance, are unreliable, inconvenient, and frankly, inadequate. I’m not going to fight over the Enterprise bill, as I said; I don’t have the time nor do I have the desire to take this further. I just have to chalk this up to an $800 lesson that I need to take my business elsewhere. On a positive note, the interior was clean and extremely well done, I do appreciate that. I wish you and everyone at Victoria Hyundai all the best. However, I can’t bring my vehicle back to Hyundai for detailing or service when I cannot rely on the quality or efficiency of the service. UPDATE: No response from Service department at all. However, I did get a call from Hyundai customer service to ask if I wanted to re-book as apparently their records show I ‘never brought my vehicle in’. I had a nice talk with a rep named Nina who said I would receive a call to follow up on my complaints. No follow up 1+ week later on either my email or the promised phone follow up Victoria Hyundai doesn’t care about it’s customers.

I needed to purchase a new vehicle and after looking on line for a few months I chose to work with Victoria Hyundai for a few reasons. I liked that they were up front and posted their prices on line, unlike most of the dealerships in the local area. I also like that they do fund raising for various organizations and giving back to community is important to me. I contacted the dealership on line and one of the questions I was asked was if I wanted someone to contact me through e mail or by telephone. I chose e mail and Jody respected my wishes. I was able to book a test drive and do my financing on line. When I arrived at the dealership all the staff were very warm and friendly. There was no pressure. Jody and Bruce were very personable and worked together to help me get my dream car. But wait, that is not all! Jody knew I wanted to donate my old vehicle to the Kidney Foundation and is handling that for me! He has stored the vehicle on the lot and will be making the arrangements for the Foundation to pick up the vehicle. Now that is amazing customer service! I am enjoying my Kona 2020. The battery died on me other day . Turned out there is a recall on the battery . Lucky for me ,the malfunctioned happened at home. Victoria Hyundai had the vehicle towed to the dealership, and it was there for two days. No courtesy vehicle was provided,and my vehicle was broken into ,and a package was stolen from vehicle. The staff are nice , but be-careful about leaving packages in your cars , and look out for the 300 dealership insurance fee on top of your insurance fee when you purchase your vehicle.

I have never written a negative review before in my life and hope to never do so again. I waited over a week so I would be thinking calmly and clearly when writing this, if I still wanted to write it at all. Ultimately this was by far the worst service I have ever experienced. In summary on June 19th I had a service appointment at 8:30am in order to replace a mirror panel which was ordered in for my Sante Fe. I also brought it in to resolve a slow leak in a tire and a clicking/grinding noise that occurs when driving every few minutes. They insisted that I would have my vehicle back by 12:00 as I needed it for work for 1:00. They also generously offered a car wash and vacuum which I did not expect. I was very impressed and looked forward to the wash and vacuum. Unfortunately my car was not ready for 12:00 in fact it was not ready until closer to closing (5:30) so I had to rush to get a cab last second. They were closed the next day so I went to pick up my vehicle with my spare key only to discover that they did not give me or put on the mirror panel and they also did not wash or vacuum the vehicle as they said they would. Two minutes into my drive home the vehicle began making the exact same noise so this was also not resolved. I went in for three things. Was offered five things and ended up only actually getting one done. They charged me $273.99 for the break service they which they thought resolve the concerning noise but it did not and charged me $140 for a steering alignment which was fine. I booked a second appointment as I still needed the mirror panel that they had and still needed the clicking noise resolved. The very soonest that they could book me in was July 7th (nearly three weeks later) which I thought was ridiculous as they did not resolve the problem that was making my vehicle seemingly unsafe to drive but I accepted. Days before the second appointment my engine light came on so I called hoping to get in sooner but was met with laughter from the receptionist who said there is no way that they could accommodate given the immediacy. This time I asked if a wash and or vacuum might be possible given it was offered and did not happen last appointment. They said yes of course, not a problem at all. They ended up being once again unable to resolve the clicking/grinding noise which was my main concern from the get go so I still feel unsafe driving my vehicle. Separately they decided to run an engine diagnostic ($132) and concluded that the engine light problem was an oil control valve that needed replacing. This would cost me $313 for the valve and $211 for the service instalment. They were also going to charge me to clip on the mirror panel in which I insisted that they leave it in my car for me to clip on. It took me under 5 seconds to do so. For the second time no car wash or vacuum took place and no acknowledgement of it took place at all. Before the appointment we set up a shuttle ride to get me home and back to Hyundai which was fine until the pick up shuttle did not arrive. I was stressed as I was in a time crunch to get to work prior to the no show and so I called and the shuttle driver had apparently gone home and nobody bothered to contact me at all. I ended up being late for work because of this and again no apology was made referencing this error. It was an unbelievably disappointing experience. I hope I was a one off but incase I strongly recommend avoiding this particular Hyundai (Victoria) as I have experienced other Hyundai locations that were truly wonderful.

UPDATE After 4 weeks of waiting for a response from the manager of Victoria Hyundai, this is what the manager said to me NOTHING. CRICKETS. NADA. I’m not surprised. What a gong show this place is. In all my years of dealing with service departments for the last 30 years, I have never witnessed such a bunch of unprofessional people in my life. Let’s start from the beginning. A month before my visit to Victoria we made arrangements to have our Tucson serviced. I could have at anytime taken it to Nanaimo but I thought since we were heading to Victoria for work, I would get a recall service done. I was given an appointment at 9:30 am but to show up at 9:15 to meet with a service advisor to have a walk around our vehicle. At 9:15 I arrived and there were 3 people of me and in the next 15 minutes 6 or 7 more people poured in. Who schedules 10 people into an area at a time when we are supposed to keep our distance from each other? I knew that I wasn’t going to get any other work done on my vehicle so I chose the option where I could drop off my keys into an envelope and get out of there. I made it quite clear when I was making the appointment that I was from out of town and I would just wait in the waiting area while the work was being done. I had a few other things to do that day that were contingent on having my vehicle back to me in a reasonable time. As I sat there watching people who had arrived after me, get in their car and drive away, I began to get anxious about the time. Usually if someone makes an appointment at 9:30 and you’re 3rd in line, then it would be expected that you would be 3rd out of there. Not me. 2 hours later I approached who I assume was the service manager since he was sitting in the glass office and asked if he had a time that my car would be ready. He said that it would be ready by 2. I said I needed it by 1:45 because I had to get my other things done. I went back to the waiting room and waited. 1:45 passed. No word. 2:00 passed. No word. 3:00, 4:00. At 4:00 I presumed that my car wasn’t going to be fixed on that day because it was an hour repair job according to Hyundai Canada. I asked a rep when my car was going to be ready and he said “ oh it’s done”. It was finished at 2:45. No phone call. No calling over to me as I sat 20 feet away from him for 6.5 hours. Nothing. There were 2 phone numbers on the sheet I gave him. No phone call. No voice mail. Nothing. All he could say “ I called you”. “ did you Leave a message?” “ I called you”. All the “ manager could say to me was “ I called you”. He did not call me. He let me sit there within view of him for another 1.5 hours and said nothing. Never ever will I step foot in this “ business”. What a joke. Oh one more thing. In the 6.5 hours that I sat there, only in the last hour did someone come and asked if I would like the tv on. I assumed that it wasn’t working since it was off all day. That would have eased my pain a bit and not once from 9:30 to 4 was anything sanitized. There must have been 30 people in and out sitting on the chairs beside me and no covid sanitizing protocols were carried out. Not one!! And the next day I got a text from them asking if I wanted to review the service I got. Wrong question to ask me. Oh and I love the responses from the managers. Leave a 4 or 5 star review and you get thanks and a personal note. Leave a 1 star review and you get a copy and pasted response from the general manager with a Phone# to call. What are you going to undo? There’s nothing you can undo. There’s nothing you can do for me. Regarding the guy in the glass office, I have a few ideas for him.

I had high hopes for the new management. I booked an oil change and asked them to look into the recalls as well. I booked the first appointment so that we could be in and out, I was even asked when booking if I’d need a car or whether would be waiting. We dropped the car off at 730am as scheduled, and they said it wouldn’t be ready until around 130pm as they were busy. What is the point of booking an appointment first thing if we’re going to have to wait 6hrs (which turned into 7 hrs)?! They also had no record of our oil change, just the recall. Super disappointed, I love my car but the continued decline in the service department makes me never want to buy a Hyundai again.

Hi there. I just wanted to make your management aware of an experience I had in your service centre a few months ago. I brought my car in for some exhaust work work and was told it would cost a minimum of $1600 for parts alone and "wasn't worth fixing" because the car was "a mess under there" with "many things awry" and was then referred directly to the sales department. Well, I received an alternative quote from another body shop for 1/4 the price (including labour) and have since been informed by two different auto body shops that my car is in great shape for its age and has no other major concerns. I am not sure if it's your regular practice to try to pull a fast one on your customers, but I certainly won't be visiting your shop or your sales department again (despite having been a diehard Hyundai customer in every city I've lived in previously).

The day we picked up our long awaited Kona EV, man who actually sold us our vehicle 9 months before, had the day off and Collin Levesque, assisted us. Collin is kind, knowledgeable, thorough, honest and has a great sense of humour; all traits that make a great salesman. Collin spent half the day with us, making sure all the paperwork was completed, understood and delivered to where it needed to be. He made sure to take us to the service department and introduced us to the folks down there and made our first 3 month check with them, so we wouldn't forget! He then spent the rest of the time going over the things the car can do and allowing me to drive with him to answer questions. Having never had an Electric Car, this part of the day was invaluable! There is so much to learn about our new car. Collin has phoned to check in with me twice in the week since we brought the car home. He's answered questions over the phone which has helped me a lot. He has repeatedly offered to have me come back so we can drive together again so he can explain more. The car has so many features, that this extra care and attention is greatly appreciated. He even offered to come in on his day off to drive with me if that was the best day. Collin is terrific! I would recommend you give him a call if you are thinking about a new (or used) car.

My partner & í just bought a 2021 Hyundai e-Kona Ultimate & we love it! Dan Houle in sales was wonderful to work with, very easy going & very, very knowledgeable about the e-Kona. He gave us a very thorough overview of all the "bits & bobs" of the car technology features several times & is available as a resource going forward! It took us a few weeks to come to a decision on which model to buy & we didn't feel pressured by Dan at all. Buying a new EV, Dan explained that we could send our 2005 Hyundai Tucson V6 to the BC Scrap It program for $6,000! That was new info for us & made that decision easy. Not so easy for me was trading in my 2018 VW e-Golf (which í really loved.) It was my 1st EV & was fab in so many ways, but wanting to let go of our gas Tucson SUV, we needed a bigger vehicle than the e-Golf. After the 1st test drive of the e-Kona, í was smitten. The e-Kona range of 415 kms was another great selling point. Perfect for longer trips. We knew about the $8000 in federal & prov rebates when buying a new EV & heard that perhaps those funds were running out? Ryan, the Finance Manager, showed us how the $8000 rebate program is regularly topped up, and this was never used as a pressure sales tactic either. Overall, the sales & finance team at Victoria Hyundai was great with every aspect of our complicated decision-making process. Brandon Kot, General Manager, also contacted us as we were finalizing the sale & was also very good to work with, as well as Tristan, the Sales Manager. We highly recommend, Dan Houle, the Bow Tie guy, if you're looking to get into the EV world. There's lots to absorb about EV ownership & Dan is patient & can help u understand all u need to know to switch to electric. (He sells both new & used EV's, he tells me.) I don't usually write reviews, but í researched & test drove a variety of EV's when í bought my (used) e-Golf in Nov 2019; back then the e-Kona's were on order & í didn't want to wait 6 - 10 mths. My brief experience w Dan was memorable even then as a "no pressure" sales guy & that had me return to Victoria Hyundai in 2021. Now that EV's have become more popular, they have lots more in stock. I am also passionate about helping others switch from the convenience of gas to the quiet, no exhaust, greener choice of EVs! The End. The Genesis is everything it claims to be plus a whole lot more. Had very good experience at this dealership up until my last service. My hatch lock has been baking a weird sound for over a year. I have been postponing fixing it, debating over whether it is worth doing it (since it's just a lock, nothing to do with the important parts of the car which are running smoothly). This time when I went for oil change, I asked for a quote on what it would cost to fix that sound. All was well. When it came for the time to pay, I was diverted to another agent as the agent to whom I talked was busy. I was pretty shoked to find my total cost over a 100$ to what I estimated. When I asked to take a look at the bill, I found that the ``diagnostics" is what caused that extra amount in the bill. I tried to argue that I did not want a "diagnostic" as I already knew what the problem was. I simply wanted a quote. WIthout investigating at all, the lady started to `lecture' me on `of course there is a price to pay" for the `expertise", and how the mechanics "have got a family to feed". Of course, everybody has families to feed, and I found the assumption that I do not know these facts rather condescending and upsetting. All I asked her was to reinvestigate the matter. Anyhow, the agent to whom I spoke originally, after hearing the argument, swooped in and promptly took off the extra 100 bucks of the bill. I left with a bitter and upsetting feeling in my stomach, which did not go away for 2 days, and made me to decide to write this review.

I’ve been coming here for 4yrs. The pandemic has been hard on everyone, including myself finically. So I phone and asked how many FREE oil changes I had left. I received them with my vip package when buying the car at Hyundai. I was told 3 free oil changes were left and I could come in the following Tuesday for the oil change. This was great news, since I was broke. I dropped my car off at 6:30am and walked to work. Like I have always done. I then get a call at noon telling me I was supposed to be in on Friday? Which was wrong . Then he made the excuse there were only 3 technicians on that day. It’s an oil change? I told him I need it by 4pm. I arrived at Hyundai at 3:30pm to pick up my car. He tells me,I’m next to go in? Unbelievable? I was suppose to pick up my son at 4pm. Then tells me my free oil change have expired but they will honour this one. So 5pm rolls around, I finally get my car. Missed picking my son up. I have 3 payments left on my Hyundai and I can say I’ll never be back again. Brutal service. Daryl Hamill , was a loyal customer. Finally had to ask the manager what was happening - he checked with the service department who got it in immediately and took 10 minutes to fix the problem. I was advised when I purchased the vehicle that I would be required to bring it in at designated intervals to have it serviced to retain the warranty.When I got close to six months I called the dealership despite it only having 4200 kilometres on it. The person who answered advised that I could not get an appointment until June 1, ( 2 weeks hence). I asked if I could get it serviced at a different/ non Hyundai dealership. She said that as it was my first service I should have it done at a Hyundai dealership. I arrived at the dealership on June 1 at 10 am. For a 10:30 appointment. The parking lot was jammed with vehicles and I was told to back out onto Bridge avenue to let the service crew move some vehicles around. That was traumatic to say the least. I returned to the lot and was cut off on the way into the lot by another patron. The Service manager was out directing traffic. I left the keys in the vehicle so that it could be moved around the lot and went inside to the service counter where I met an employee who said it was his first day on the job. I asked how long it would take to service my vehicle and he replied that it would be done by the end of the day or I might possibly have to leave it over night. Then the person training him advised that I only required an oil change and it would be done quickly. He also advised that I could have had the oil change done anywhere as long as I kept the receipt for warranty purposes. I believe that you need a bigger parking lot with more entrances to the service bays to improve service and also to have your staff give consistent advice as to where I can get service work done. I was in a hurry that day, and perhaps impatient, but I would have gone to a different dealership in the preceding 2 weeks since I called the dealership if I had been told that was an option. 1st time visiting this location and happy with the service received. The team was professional and courteous. The ride services was unexpected and greatly appreciated. Sure beat sitting in the lounge for a few hours. They were unable to determine my phantom issues but they did their absolute best to try. Some issues are hard to detect and replicate and I fully understood this was a possible outcome. They were prompt with their communication and arrangements to pick me up and bring me back to the dealership. The folks are extremely busy and short staffed. I recommend some patience, this is not in the control of the folks helping you. They are working hard to make people happy and showing them courtesy is the least we can do as customers.

But the guy named “Mike” gave me ride to my work which was 30 mins away from the dealership I never asked for the pickup but “Mike” actually also called me to ask me for the pickup, I didn’t even call him he just called me at perfect time otherwise I’d end up travelling in a bus. I booked in an appointment 3 weeks prior to my date with someone who I thought was from Hyundai; I wrote down what was part of my service, had it repeated and was promised a discount because I booked that day on the phone; when I arrived Hyundai had no record of any of the details and I was informed they use an “outsourced” company to book the appointments. I was then flat out told no we don’t do that upon arrival. Then when brought up to the manager of the service dept, his tone and body language regarding my situation was not appreciated and instead of coming to discuss with me, the customer right away, he sat behind his desk and his volume was loud enough to have other people in the dept to hear. I was embarrassed and felt like a crook and I was a liar. After 20min of then waiting for the manager to have the phone call tapes reviewed, he still never came and talked to me personally. He sent the service person I was dealing with over to say yes we will do what you were promised. Definitely conflicted whether or not I will go back to have further service completed. I took the day off work to get this appointment in; car-less for the majority of my day and have that experience.

He patiently explained everything that the Service dept recommended both to me and my partner separately so we could make an educated decision about what to get done for our car. I dropped off the car at 7:30am and it was done around 10:45. It wasn’t a problem to get a shuttle to work early in the day. I was pleasantly surprised at the level of service here.

if you know what you want and know how to deal with pushy sales people your probably fine. as a first time car buyer i feel VERY VERY taken advantage of. The people i dealt with Were definitely trying to get as much money out of me as possible. I get the bigger the sale the more commission but seriously I could of gotten a Lexus for almost the same price. don't get me wrong I do like the car, but ill never recommend buying from this dealership unless you have an inside guy or something.

Actual service was good but it took a total of five weeks to get the issue resolved. First, parts didn't order it when requested (1 week delay) and then had to wait close to three weeks for my appointment to get a new fob programmed. Once at the appointment, things were fine but the whole experience (wait time for appointment) took far too long. I do have to go to dealership for certain things but for a service - I will be looking elsewhere!

Car said it needed service at 7000km, make appointment, go in and are told it should be at 12000km. It doesn't need to be done. This is after dealing with the small parking lot. I tell them about the recalls so they do keep it there and do the recalls but never reset the service due button so that keeps going off now.

Worked with David and his manager. Test drove a couple vehicles, and were very happy with the service received. Both David and his manager are very hard working; they waited after hours to win our business and also followed up diligently later on. I had a bad experience about 3 yrs ago but this time, these individuals redeemed my experience. We eventually ended up buying a different brand as we had change in plans, but I highly recommend this dealership and will go there again for my next vehicle.

After some ups and downs with Victoria Hyundai, we were hesitant to purchase our 3rd vehicle from this dealership. I received a phone call from Taylor Berge and he wanted to know if he could help us with getting our previous interest rate lowered on our car loan. I will admit, I was hesitant, however, I agreed to go to the dealership to at least talk. Taylor asked us about our vehicle and we mentioned to him that we were interested in a bigger vehicle. We went through discussing our vehicle must haves and Taylor recommend 2 vehicles that fit our needs, wants and budget. We really appreciated that he didn’t try to sell us a vehicle that we didn’t qualify for. We have had other dealerships try to sell us vehicles that we would never financially be approved for. Taylor was very straight forward and clear. He answered all our questions, big and small. He was patient with us through the entire process of purchasing our new vehicle. Loved the car, it sold itself. Surprisingly well-designed, well-priced. We caught the deal with 0% financing. The Iconic is a great car, very popular and snapped up immediately when available. Bowtie Dan, our salesperson, was an enthusiastic salesperson who knew the products. The only drawback was the lack of parking. We needed to drive around the block twice to find an available spot. There is very limited visitor parking. Very bad location.
