The "Right Stuff" - and it does say it all! Looking at the reviews of Van-Isle Auto Brokers, I hope I don't sound redundant - from the first phone call to the last contract signature, this company does it all very well - with honesty, integrity, and without pressure or fuss - and the pickup at the seaplane harbour was a very nice touch! The best part is, I'm writing this review over a year from when I first bought the car; over the phone, with a re-assurance, that it will meet my expectations - and it really did! I had just called Mathew at Van-Isle Auto Brokers, to share the tale of my last years worth of enjoyment; the vehicle being a gift for my dad. After a winter's rest, it was "even better", I believe were my dad's exact words, when he took it to Whistler, grinning ear-to-ear on the Sea-to-Sky, recalling days of youth and daring, one of which he still possessed as he held the wheel with sheer, unbridled joy - what fun! And when your dad is 87, and still this excited about anything, it's a riot! Mathew and his team at Van-Isle Auto Brokers made my dad's dream a reality, and my belief of no better a present for me - thank you all!

"Best car buying experience ever!" about sums up our recent purchase of a Mercedes-Benz GLK 350. We came specifically to this dealer from up island because there was an option to try many of the different car models that we were interested in trying out. On arrival just after opening the place was hopping busy, Wade made sure to acknowledge all the folks who seemed to arrive all at the same time. He very quickly got everyone looking at the cars that they were interested in then returned to my wife to have a conversation about what kind of car she thought would be the right fit for her. After a short conversation he found out that she was interested in a GLK that was not on the lot due to a pending repair on the Nav screen. He asked her if she would like to drive a similar model in a lower trim to see if she liked how they drove ( if she liked that one he would get the other one out of the holding lot and she could try it next. He sent us off on a test drive with no rush to come back and moved on to his next set of customers. After an hour of test driving my wife was sufficiently impressed and we went back. Within minutes we were back at the lot, went to pick up the other GLK to drive that one. He again sent us off on a test drive with no rush to come back. The GLK was in pristine condition except for the broken nav screen which he said would be repaired if we purchased the car. After the test drive my wife proclaimed her love for the GLK and sent me in to make a deal. Wade was awesome, understood my need to come to a bottom line without bs or haggling. He made us a great deal on our BMW X3 trade in, and made it so I felt that we were both getting a fair deal, he explained the warranty options very well and got us set up to go as happy new suv owners with no extra stress or fuss. As someone who has bought and sold over 30 cars over the years this was impressive to me in the extreme. Wade made a commitment to have the new Nav screen purchased and put in in the next week and we proceeded home to Courtenay. The day after we got back the temperature in Comox went well below zero and the battery died. There is no way that they could have known this would happen but Wade offered to pay for a new battery without question, even though it was not officially covered under any warranty. This was an unexpected and pleasant surprise. Long story short go to this dealer they know and stand by their products. Nowhere else on the island or possibly the mainland can you find another place with as many well priced options in the used luxury market. We will be back for our next car (when it's my turn)

Just wanted to share our great buying experience with Van-Isle. We recently purchased a 2013 Nissan Sentra and Wade has really bent over backwards to make us happy including delivery of the vehicle to Surrey from Victoria! He also paid for the ferry trip with lunch. We noticed when the car was delivered that it only came with one key but again Wade came through and ordered another key from a local Nissan dealer. We would definitely recommend Van-Isle auto brokers to anyone buying a used vehicle. No pressure and no BS which is hard to find from a used car dealership!

Over the last 3 years, my family has purchased 4 vehicles from Wade (one of which from his wholesale lot.) We have had nothing but great things to say. My brother first went in looking for an upgrade from his 2001 Acura with a transmission that was just about ready to go. Wade had just got in a 2007 Audi A3 and sent my brother a text saying he got it in, so we went right down for a test drive. The next day he went in to buy it. Wade even went so far as to take $1000 off the price of the Audi for his Acura. I’m sure Wade knew he would only lose money for doing that, but those are the kind of people you deal with there. The year after that, the car was in an awful accident, so my brother would end up buying a 2015 Audi A4 from Wade. After seeing just how great everyone is at Van isle, my parents would also end up going to them to upgrade from our 2008 Honda Odyssey, which the family had outgrown. Wade offered to trade it in at an offer more than fair for the vehicle. When they were going over the paperwork, Wade mentioned to me that he had a car sitting in his wholesale lot that he thought would be a great fit for me, looking to get my first vehicle. He gave us the code to the compound where it was sitting, we took it for a test drive, and the next day took it home. Wade, Mathew, and everyone else at Van Isle really subvert your expectations of used car dealers. They are just genuine people who love what they do, and take care of their customers. I know that when it’s time for me to get an upgrade for my car, they’ll be the first place I go. Thank you so much guys!

BEWARE: won't stand behind product, three weeks after bought. $3,000 bill to me. Eric did buy to get me a licence plate kit and installed it but my hybrid battery cells compromised just weeks after bought, needs $3k for used battery. They won't even split the cost with me. Beware as they will wash their hands of any problems. **** Disappointed that profits before people from them.

Very sad story... we purchase a beautiful Mercedes ml 350 almost two years ago. Truck had a injector issue when we purchased, talked to wade on the ferry ride home and honestly he was polite. We bought extended warranty and put it through. Vehicle has been amazing. Saw a year newer gl on the website so inquired. Three times before we received a reply. Was instantly informed Wade retired and I was talking to the general manager. Explained I was thinking of doing a trade in but I didn’t really want to increase the payments. He took my info and found out my buyout on my vehicle, crunched the numbers and called me back in a hour explaining how he can save me $50 a month. Thought wow, asked for the numbers and a video walk through to be sent to me and was promised to have them by the end of the day. He then told me the gl had a 5k fire damage claim. That they had reduced the price as with that claim the were having issues selling it. Two requests later received the video walk through. Two more requests to get the numbers... payment was suddenly double my current payment. When inquired was told the calculator used forgot to put the upside down trade in. Isn’t he a pro? Should he not notice the numbers make no sense? In looking at the numbers the vehicle they had was at advertised price and mine was about 5-7k less than traders vehicle price calculator. When I ask I am told “what do I expect, the, to give me my buyout amount for the ml, and then reduce the value of gl by 17k.” I went on van isles web site and used the finance calculator and based on his comment the gl would cost approx 260 per month. Wow an amazing deal, I wrote back this to the response that even if they bought mine out at the buy out the financing would still be over 1000 per month that for its age it can only be financed over 48 months. If my buy out was paid in full, would that not make it like he claimed the first payment was? Interesting how facts change, I do believe this is called do and say anything to get the customer in the door and then screw them. At this point I was told I should go look for a vehicle I can afford. Class act running this business, they have no clue what I can or can’t afford. I only stated what I was willing to play to get a different vehicle. If he is honest up front I say ok the numbers work or they don’t and walk away. Now they have converted a strong supporter and return customer to one that take time out of my day to warn people any from dealing with your typical used car conman.

I purchased a 2007 Mustang GT from Wade and Mathew. I came in from Burnaby just to see this one car posted on the auto trader and I bought it. Everything seemed to work well, and proof of reports, history, inspection etc... were provided. The car was nice and ran great. Happy. Took it home and attempted to put the convertible top on and it seemed to be stuck. I immediately called Van-Isle and Wade and Mathew took care of it right away. I took it into a shop, fixed the switch, and they took care of the bill for me. This shows they obviously wanted me to be happy with the purchase. I do believe this was just a fluke this happened; good news was they had no hesitation to help me out; proved they care about their customers!! Bonus these days. Their sales associate Deeana was extremely helpful as well throughout the process in providing me info, pics, follow up phone calls to make sure I was happy. Really good, genuine, honest people. Beautiful cars on the lot. I would not hesitate to recommend Van-Isle to anyone looking for a vehicle. Thanks guys!

Becareful, you bettter go buy the carfax report by yourself. We had really bad purchasing experience with them. Be realise that if car accident happened within few months it will show on the last page of carfax report. So you will never realised the last page is missing until you try to sale off your car and next purchaser asking you for the new carfax report. We are completely disappointed. We tried to trust everybody in this nice place, but not anymore

“DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP” Spent best part off $30k end off Jan, have done less than $10k in it .... to find car needs major work on it! $6k..not covered on the warranty which took at another $2k! Mathews attitude was patronising when I complained. He told me, you bought a “used” car .....if you wanted a full cover you should have bought a new car, there only $80k!!!! My husband is a hard working nurse and works hard for his dollars. We didn’t take finance and paid them cash!! We tried to spend money on the isle using an independent car dealership. We so regret this. To say were heartbroken that we have to find more money to fix the problem is an understatement.

Without a doubt the best car buying experience ever! I was in the market to purchase a new vehicle, and with my busy schedule, Sunday had to be the day that I was able to fit that in. After searching online on Auto Trader, Used Vic, and other avenues, I came across a number of vehicles I was interested in, all luxury vehicles with low kms, and they happened to be at Van Isle Auto Brokers in Victoria. Not only were they open on Sunday, but I was met by Garry who was extremely helpful and within minutes I was out test driving a car. I wasn't sure which vehicle I wanted at that point, but knew that with their inventory, and no pressure sales, I was confident enough to say to him that I would be buying from him within a few days. I really felt at ease dealing with Garry. A big purchase like buying a car can be extremely stressful, but my experience was exactly the opposite. It was so easy and seamless! By Wednesday (3 days later), I drove away in my new super sexy Audi A5 Quattro 3.2L. It was arranged for all the final paperwork and insurance to be done before work that morning, so I met with Wade the GM that morning to sign the final documents. He was also extremely easy and amazing to deal with. In addition to that, I want to say a huge THANK YOU to Garry, who went above and beyond to further make this transition super smooth by arranging a pick up for me from my house to the dealership that morning. The service they provide during and after purchase is impeccable to say the least. They also have an amazing warranty at a super low price... and it covers pretty much ANYTHING that could go wrong with your vehicle. I really can't say enough great things about these guys and this dealership! Great job you guys!
