Unfortunately for me I chose to purchase a Platinum F150, not that the truck has been bad to me, it's a good truck for the value, it's just that I knew that in the support system was indicative of an old school system that was so large and obsolete it would impact my experience. Well today was the day for me to realize my concern. I took my truck in for and oil change and the first thing I encountered was a conflict going on in front of me with a fellow that was dissatisfied with the attention given to his service. luckily, or so I thought, I got the rep next to him and quietly booked in for the oil change. In out conversation I asked them to inspect the emergency brake, which had a small issue of not fully retracting after the release was pulled. No Biggie, anyhow after a brief conversation I left with the expectation that they would look at it. Now 2 hrs goes by, I have been out, done the circuit around the local mall and returned to the small and intimate "customer lounge" area. 40 minutes past the due time I approached the service rep #1, I was rudely targeted with defensive criticism that somehow he could not find me, luckily, or so I thought, the fellow next to me piped up and said that he knew my case and had the paperwork to do up. I went over the work order with him and all was good except they said that the e brake was sticking on and that I should leave and no apply it, until such a time I could come back in. Not happy about the news, or more so that I should leave and ignore this safety feature of my truck, I made mention of my concern and not wanting to scuffle, paid the $86 oil change bill and left. now, all of my experiences with service departments with other manufactures, they at least did me the courtesy of a ride to and from a destination and at minimum a once over wash and quick vac. Yup, nothing had been done. $86 dollars, here ya go, 2.5 hrs, leave - don't' use your safety feature and your truck looks good enough to us. They get a 2 star, I get a 1 for not going Toyota and believing foolishly that they american mindset had changed. Very unsatisfied with my Moday at Suburban Motors. I have been purchasing vehicles form Suburban motors for years now and I thought it was important to let everyone know how impressed I was thsi week with a certain individual who exceeded my expectations for myself and my wife on a previous service. Rob Cavaghan - Service advisor- extension 31204 was simply a true professional in every way possible. He really has a special approach with his clients and the ability to create some excitement on a task that is generally a negative position telling people bad news on costs and repairs needed. Standard typical salesman who are only in it for themselves. Where every price they spit at you is "the best price of the year", here's a tip if you want to shop here, only go in winter and pick only the current year of car you are looking for, if you try to shop at any other point in the year you just get screwed.
Stopped in to have a look at the new f150s. Dan was knowledgable knows his product well. Had a very positive experience absolutely no pressure with emphasis on possibilities for future plan to purchase. Will definately give Dan of Suburban a call once I am ready to buy. Purchased new 150 a week ago. Very impressed with the truck fuel economy is excellent averaging 10.6.
Bought a beautiful truck from Reese at Suburban Motors 2 weeks ago and couldn't be more happy with the experience!! I first came there about 6 weeks ago and hadn't found exactly what I was looking for. Reese was amazing to deal with and went on an absolute mission to find the perfect truck at a great deal based off of all the information requirements I had. After nearly a month of staying in contact and sending me some different options, she found EXACTLY what I was looking for. Dealing with Reese was the best experience I have EVER had buying a vehicle and I would 10/10 recommend her to anyone looking to purchase a new vehicle as she is amazing. Car works great, but the staff was horrible to deal with. Although there were at least 3 people in the service department at any time, not a single person acknowledged my presence. On one occasion, there were probably 10 Ford service employees and not a single person bothered to say "Hi, we will be with you in a moment" or let alone a simple "Hello." When I actually got to speak to someone, he proceeded to talk about his conspiracy theories about planned obsolescence and how we need to get rid of all modern technology. I really didn't want to engage in the conversation and reply to a single comment, but he clearly can't pick up on this simple social cue. Twice I stood there for 15 minutes while the service employee sat there and typed without telling me what was going on and then said: "ok you're good to go." Never did I receive a simple "I need you to hang out for a minute while I get this paperwork straightened out" or "you can go now, I just need to push some buttons here." I still don't know if I needed to be there because of the horrible communication. Clearly, the people in the service department have no respect for their customers or their customer's time. When I dropped off my car, I was at the service department 5 minutes before open because I had a meeting at 8. They didn't open the door until 735. Three other clients and I stood outside for 10 minutes and they just watched us while they did god knows what. Once they opened the door, it took 5 minutes until anyone decided the help me or acknowledge my presence. Once I received assistance, I stood around for another 15 minutes as mentioned above and didn't leave until 750. So, I had to reschedule my meeting. Not only did they affect my time, they affected my colleague's schedule as well. The fact that I have this huge list of complaints and only interacted with your service department 3 times speaks volumes about the horrible culture your organization clearly has regarding customer service. I wouldn't be shocked if the managers have a read of this review for a quick laugh. I will go to Glenoak next time I need services done and I will not buy a car from any Suburban dealerships. I have and continue to tell people to avoid your dealership, and I will do so as long as I live in Victoria. You must have great salespeople because I don't know how you manage to maintain customers.
Last month when shopping for a HD Truck I looked at a 250 and a 350 that Suburban Motors had on the lot. I spoke with Alistar Emerson and asked for a price off the lot for each of the two vehicles. Included in the price would be my Air Canada discount, my trade in, and any other discounts offered that month. Michael Iorio the sales manager came out and met me and gave me two pieces of paper with the MRSP price, my Air Canada discount, all other discounts plus any incidental charges. Bottom line....in less than an hour I had two quotes on paper for two different vehicles and the start of my search for an HD Truck began. Unfortunately, when I went over to the GMC dealerships I never quite got the same service. I never received a detailed quote on paper that the Ford guys gave me and I was subjected to all those nasty used car salesmen tricks that you hear about. The absolute worst was Island GMC who outright lied to get me to come up there and look at a truck. While dealing with the GMC people over the next few days and talking to GMC Canada about their dealership customer service and pressure tactics I received very low pressure phone calls by Alistar about the quote they provided. In the end I didn't buy either one of the Ford Trucks. Not because there was anything wrong with the vehicles or the salesmen, but because I needed a change from 16 years of driving Fords, so I went with a GMC Truck, even though some of the salespersons that I met were the lowest of the low. Both Alistar and Michael deserve a shout out for doing what I asked of them in a classy low pressure way. In a world of sleaze, they were pretty cool. Thanks guys for doing what I asked. I'll pass the word on that you do good work.
Although we didn't end up purchasing a new vehicle, had a great experience with consultant Chris Brookes. Appreciated his expertise, breadth of experience, and friendly demeanor. Will hopefully have the opportunity to do business in the future.

Had my spark plugs replaced on my 08 Ford F150 for $550 parts and labour. About 2 weeks later my check engine light went on so so I brought it into my mechanic who diagnosed a cylinder 3 misfire and he swapped the coil with a differect cylinder. When the problem repeated on cylinder 3 again I brought it into Suburban Ford to have the spark plug looked at. (It was under warranty). Their courtesy car was out so I had to walk around for 4 hours and all they did was charge me $100 to tell me they swapped the coil again and that it wasn't the spark plug (they told me they tested it, gotta take their word on that i wasnt able to talk to the mechanic the rep had to leave to adk him questions and come back) So I asked the guy at the counter if they would honor the warranty if my mechanic found out it was the spark plug and he looked me in the eyes and said "yes". When the problem continued on cylinder 3 (I know right?) I had my mechanic diagnose and fix it. Found the problem.... spark plug. Well didn't everyone reading this already figure that one out. $158 plus the $100 Suburban Ford charged me the first time to do nada. Guess what, they won't honor the parts and labor. They told me the rep should have never said that. Well guess what douchebags, he did, he lied, and you have lost a cx for life. Guys down at OK Tire on Oldfield are on it, and they found your burnt Canadian tire spark plug and replaced it. Now it runs like the cats ass and I don't have to worry about missing work because of your incompetence. Just do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

I called up the Suburban because my F150 truck was running rough and the engine light had come on. They were booked solid, but told me come and drop it off and they would look after me, sometimes they get cancellations. I arrived at the dealership, advised Erich the service rep and assistant manger of my issues. They offered me a loaner at no charge, and booked my truck in. I got a call the next day, the tech had isolated the problem. I was quoted a price, I gave the ok and they ordered in the parts. The following day I got a call my truck was done. Erich took the time with me, understood my concerns and made me feel important, and the truck runs great again. A big thanks to you and your team.
Was in to the service dept. a couple of weeks back and picked up a couple of lower control arms for our 2005 Ford Escape. They had one in stock, and were able to order the other one by next day (and on a Saturday too!). I installed them both and they work perfect. I’ve had plenty of bad experiences and shady encounters with other dealerships but these guys here are honest and truly care for you. I am a victim . Their delayed repair caused me a huge amount loss of pay to the rental company. Especially during the pandemic, it is not supposed to happen to anybody. This is the worst auto body repair workshop .

Went to look at trading in my 2009 F150 super crew cab 4x4 and to take a look at a newer F150. The Sales guy and the manager I think his name was mike were very pushy and when the sales manager went to take a look at my truck I went with the sales man to look at a different truck and go for a test drive when we got back I asked for my keys to my truck back and he kept on making excuses and not giving them back to me I asked repeatedly for them back and he kept on refusing and asking me how old I was which I think is irrelevant when looking at buying a vehicle. The sales manager came back after about 1.5 hours later and give me an offer of $8000 to which I said no and was not interested at even talking numbers with them for this new truck, I then told them ICBC evaluated my truck at $17,000 if it got written off and that’s what they would give me he then said that ICBC uses Canadian black book and that’s what he used at got the $8000 number I was able to finally get my keys and left and will not be going back they kept on Lying and being very pushy and the fact they refused to give my keys back is ridiculous I have attached a photo of the Canadian black book value and a picture of my truck

Took in my 2017 F150 truck in for ICBC repairs The work was poor and shady The truck came out in worst shape than it went in .expected They managed to damage so much i had to take it to a ( GM dealer ) to get my Ford fixed. Wow!!.. a Chevrolet dealer repairing a Ford Because Suburban couldn't fix the problem. Noticing i had to get warranty stuff done and few other things still not fixed. I had to take the truck to another Carson owned dealership to have them fix what Suburban damaged. But at my expense $$$$, Keep in mind they had gotten payed to do the job from ICBC already but wanted to make more money off the truck. The positive reviews you see are from blind or naive. Customer relations is no help it's a joke so don't waste your time with them. Don't trust Suburban to touch your vehicle. Pete.

I currently own a Ford truck and the odd time I need a part that has to come from the dealership I usually go to Suburban Motors ... just be prepared to bend over when paying ... they are $$$$$.

Went to several car lots looking at a few specific makes and models of used vehicle. Sean showed me several options within my price range and was extremely transparent and reasonable. He was friendly and easy to talk to, and was not pushy as I found the sales teams at other lots to be. I found a vehicle a little over my budget, and the sales team helped make the numbers work so that I could get the car that best fit my needs and lifestyle. I am extremely happy with my choice. The paperwork was quick, and everything was explained to me clearly with no surprises. The biggest draw was that each sales person was willing to share their personal opinion and preference for each vehicle, and could offer pros and cons of each which was independent of the price. Often I find sales teams will be overly complimentary of every car you are interested in and never offer a truly honest opinion on the car's performance and build quality. I did end up in a Ford, but this was because it was my first choice make and model, not because I felt pushed towards purchasing it over other makes I was looking at. I would happily recommend them to friends and family (that don't already go here). Any apprehension you have about buying from a dealership is put to rest at Suburban.

Brought my 2016 350 in for an appointment that I had made 3 weeks in advance. The appointment was from 2-4 to perform a simple oil change on the vehicle, I dropped off at 1:45 for the appointment. I returned at 4 to pick up when the service advisor informed me they hadn't had a chance to do any work on my truck!! Not even a phone call!! Did I mention that I pre paid $6500 for the 7 year maintenance plan when I purchased the vehicle brand new last year... Poor communication , terrible experience all around and an epic fail for Surburban Motors and Ford Canada. Thank you for nothing but a headache.

This last week I purchased a 2016 F-150 at Suburban Motors. I have to say, it was a good experience overall. My salesman, Ben Beattie, and the sales manager, Michael Iorio were both straight forward guys and easy to deal with. I felt like they tried to find me a vehicle that was the right fit while respecting my budget. I didn't find that the truck was much more expensive at Suburban than what I could find privately and it's nice to buy something that's just been detailed and gone through service. After a bad experience at Suburban Motors more than a decade ago, I was reluctant to give them my business again. I don't generally like dealerships. High pressure, constant upselling etc. This was not my experience this time around. I was pleasantly surprised at how smoothly the whole thing went and Ben and Michael can be credited for changing my opinion about Suburban. I recommend that you go see Ben if you're looking for a low-pressure vehicle purchase experience. Of course no review would be complete with a little constructive criticism. Their detailing department sprayed some really slippery interior dressing on the brake pedal (possibly inadvertantly) which lead to a bit of a scary ride home. Best to save that stuff for the tires. ;)

The sales team was able to hold the vehicle with a deposit until we had more time to consider our decision. Would recommend.

Took the time to listen to the trouble I was having with the car and passed the word along to the technicians. Highly communicative during the repair process. I traded in a car for a used car on their lot after seeing it online. I called from Vancouver, and spoke with Kevin Muloin, one of their salespeople. He texted me the inspection report, carfax, and spent ages walking me through the history of the vehicle. He put up with all of my questions happily, and shared way more information than I could have reasonably expected. I decided to take the trip over to check it out in person, and Kevin had the truck ready to go for a text drive, and even met us in the parking lot when we arrived. He took us on a fantastic route to put the truck through its paces, and didn’t rush us, despite being out on the road for at least 25 minutes. Once we got back to the dealership, he helped us negotiate a deal that I think we were all happy with. He took the time to make sure we were comfortable with all of the features and even suggested that we go and talk about it before taking the plunge. As it turns out, we bought the vehicle, and everyone we dealt with at the dealership was extremely friendly, helpful, and didn’t pressure us in the slightest. I’d happily recommend this dealership to anybody looking for a new (or new-to-you) set of wheels.

He was very knowledgeable but most importantly he did not in any way try to high pressure me into a sale. He went the extra mile to make sure that I got the vehicle that met my needs. I originally went to Suburban Motors to buy a 2012 Ford Fiesta my trade in was a 1999 Dodge Durango SLT Sales person BO lied to my girlfriend and I, Scammed me into putting car into my girlfriends name, told us after a certain amount of time(year or so...) title could be switched back to my name with just a few signatures he left out the part about it also being $500 dollars to do the transfer and my credit would have to be A1+ WOULD NOT RECOMMEND SUBURBAN MOTORS They did the exact same thing to my friend when he bought his 2011 Ford Fiesta so when his mom went to suburban motors to co-sign they scammed her into putting the car into her name, instead of co-signing for her son, exactly what they pulled on us.

KEVIN MULOIN did a great job of working out a deal for two of our vehicles into one...two fords for a Jeep! We are happy with the trade thus far. We didn't need two cars anymore and SM contaced US to see if we would be interested in a deal. After about 3 hours we had a decent trade on our 2 and drove away (IN THE SNOW!) with our 2014 Jeep Cherokee. THANKS GUYS!

I bought a pre-owned car here in December 2020. I'm generally satisfied with my car. However, I recognized some issues after a couple of weeks buying the car such as tire noise and damage to the windshield. At the time of purchasing the car, all brakes were checked, but since then, there has been a problem with the braking system, and it has been inspected and repaired. Not all the problems have been solved, but they tried their best to solve my problems. Of course, they found out after purchasing a car, so they also said they had a limit to helping. It should have been checked more carefully in advance, but I think we should take some risks when purchasing used cars. My dealer was kind when I bought a car, and they tried to solve the problems and my complaints. When purchasing a car, I think the most important thing is to help the customer use the car well even after the dealer sells the car. In that sense, I think they are good dealership. There are still things that have not been resolved. But I believe that they will provide their efforts to resolve rest of the issues. So, I recently recommended this place to my friend who wants to buy a car.
Overall great experience at this dealership. I've bought 2 mustangs here and both times the service was top notch. I refuse to buy a car from anyone else besides Sean Kinsella. I'll always be part of the Ford family, all thanks to this dealership!
Selling a car is easy, making sure that the customer leaves the dealership happy and calling you a friend is hard, and those guys did a great job doing that. We hit a few bumps trying to get this car delivered on time but the wait was worth it. They apologized for a mistake that might be out of their hands, they made it up to me, and the one thing that made me super happy is them inviting me to shawarma after the deal was done????. The car is super great, and they made sure I get one of a kind by giving me rims other than the ones that came off with it and also offering a few extra free goodies. Thanks Matt and Tamer for all the effort you guys put into that deal, and can't wait to have you guys finish the deal for my next car????
Update!!! Took my vehicle in with a list of work thats covered my warrenty they tried to refuse to do the work so they were asked if it qasnt under warranty would you do it and they actually said yes. The next time i go in i will be recording what they say from now on because thwir a joke. I have contacted the BBB and ford Canada about tjis matter. Dont take your vehicle to them for warrenty work, they will refuse you unless u pay cash... Recently took my brand new truck in for its oil change and so on and they said they did a wiper test and they failed. (I already knew i needed new one). They said they put new ones on and the bill says they did to when really they didnt. Like i said I knew i needed new wipers. They were leaving streaks all over and the same streaks are still there. Where the hell are my new wipers? probably on someone who works there's vehicle !! Maybe u guys should send the old parts home with the vehicle's owner's or at least show them the old cuz my wipers were never changed.

Okay ! I'm not lieing, exaggerating, fibbing or making this up. I'm looking for a new truck because I'm sick of not owning a vehicle... When the tow company towed my and Franks "Boston terrier" House for a night' & or "means of life" because of Covid it almost killed me. Now that I've been blessed, Its time for a new one. So yesterday I walked to Suburban. I Sat down to discuss my future brand spanking new truck. I gave him the information needed then he came right back and said that financing will call me back in an hour so I walked all the way home which was about 5 km, and (no call) on my cell phone.No call all night. Some salesman called me this morning after I was up all night excited about getting a new truck. I started to think if a car company wanted to sell somebody a car this wouldn't be going on so I think I'm going to buy from somewhere else because I don't trust my vehicle with them know. PS Should I call them ?

Expectations exceeded on both excellent service and price. If you are looking to trade in your vehicle and want to deal with somebody who is genuine and has a passion for listening to their customers' concerns, go to Suburban and ask for Jesse Rayson or Matt Maillot. Both of these strapping gentleman took the the time to listen, not because they had to make a deal, but because they wanted to make sure that my needs were met. It is this type of service that will bring me back to their lot over any where else in Victoria. Purchased a brand new Ford F150 and got the best possible deal not including Ford Employee pricing (Could of saved an extra $2K if I waited or knew). Decided to go with the extended bumper-to-bumper warranty for an extra $3K. Was told at the time that it covers everything aside from wearable items like tires for example; which makes sense. However I later found out that this is not the case. The spring in my center console broke and I was quoted $600 plus labor for the repair even though I had the extra warranty. After my first original review Cooper from Landrover Victoria personal contacted me about my bad experience(s). A friend and I met with Cooper to go over all of my concerns. During the meeting Cooper mentioned that the extended warranty should have been explained differently to me and that he would look into the center console repair. Later that same day, Cooper personal delivered a brand new replacement hinge at no-charge which was awesome. My center console now works like new. The bottom line is if you want the best pricing wait for Ford Employee pricing and if you decide to get the extended warranty it is NOT a true bumper-to-bumper warranty (Read the fine print, or get them to go over it with you in detail). Overall my experience has improved and I appreciate the prompt service by Cooper.

Everyone I met at Suburban was helpful and friendly. Buying a used car can be stressful but I was put at ease and treated with deference. No pressure. I actually enjoyed the process and emerged with the right car at a fair price. An enthusiastic five stars for Matt Ross and his colleagues. I'm not easy to please.

I went in to suburban in July of 2017 to have a look at beautiful 2014 camaro or a focus ST. After talking to the salesman (don't remember his name he didn't give me his card) and a sales manager, they recommend the camaro! I was surprised since I was trading in my 2012 focus. I thought they would want to sell me a Ford since it's a Ford dealer and ST focuses are more expensive. But he recommended the camaro! So I got the camaro and couldn't be happier. Salesman didn't say a whole lot but was very nice. The sales manager and finance manager were both very helpful and kind. Every step was easy and no hassle. Theg didn't push much. It was my first financed car. Got a good price. Took a bit off their principal. Service was very good too.

Every single time we have dealt with Suburban (two purchases of vehicles, and the on going service of each) has been a trying time. They have wasted our time more times than is acceptable (ie: we drop off the truck in the morning for service, and by 3pm we call them to see what's going on, only to be informed that they won't be able to get to it that day.. to reschedule for another time. This has happened twice). We have reached out to the service manager to try and get a resolution only to not hear back for months. Clearly, they only care about getting you to sign the paperwork but afterwards they don't give a damn about you or the vehicle they worked so hard to sell you.

Worst customer service ever. My friend had a car engeine issue in his car and mechanical department told us at least 7 days to get that fixed and refused to give us any courtesy car. When we went to sale department, waited almost 20 minutes sitting, saw they helping others coming after us, was really disappointing. I still remember, when we went to buy a car, 4 guys were running behind us to sign a form.

I'm a busy person but as business owner, I thought these folks should be told about customer service. I bought and leased vehicles from Suburban for the past 25 + years. The last F150 I bought privately but thought I should take it to them for service. Well, the work done was good but I was expecting to get a clean trick when picking it up. They used to do that at one time. When I take my Jaguar in for service it is beautifully clean when I pick it up. Their answer when bringing this to their attention... "Same owner, different management" . Great answer.

Woman at parts counter is absolutely miserable
My husband and I are on the list for the new Ford Lighting and emailed to inquire about the process and any updates they might have about it. They told him that they will be selling the Lightening's at 13k OVER MSRP. We were absolutely shocked, this is already an expensive vehicle. When we asked for an explanation they said they wouldn't give any details on options or pricing except in person. We know this is a dealership choice since we have relatives who have just placed orders in Ontario and did not get dinged with extra costs and were sent all the pricing and options via email before placing their orders. They didn't have to deal with high pressure sales tactics like this. We're usually a Ford family, all our vehicles are Ford and I even worked at the assembly plant in university. Having just moved here from Ontario, all I can say is that I am extremely unimpressed with this dealership.

I bought a near new 2018 ford F150 using Brodie as the salesman. I had a trade in which usually complicates a deal. Brodie 's first offer was very close to what I wanted so a deal was done quickly. The F150 previous owner was a smoker so he cleaned and detailed the interior again. All in all a 5 star experience which sometimes is not the case with a big dealership.

I honestly don't even want to give this dealership even one star. They are the worst sales people to deal with. I have had a bad experience every time I have been here. They have withheld my licence and my keys and after asking for them back a number of times I was left alone for over 20 mins waiting for my things. Also they never seem to want to sell you car...they leave you around sitting all day while they all joke around and hang out in the back. They have the most horrible customer service I have ever experienced. I ended up going to Glenoak in Langford to buy my car and not only was it better customer service but they were able to get me a better deal. I would urge anyone looking to go to Ford to stay clear of this dealership as they have no idea what they are doing and they have no customer service. I can't even put it in words how horrible this dealerships is. So unprofessional!!!!!!

Needed a part for my 03 focus so I dropped in to get a quote. Unfortunately the part I needed was backordered, but Keith at the parts desk was able to give me all the info I needed to get one the same day. He contacted a nearby store to get me a quote and had them set the part aside for me. Really nice to go to a service center that was focused on getting me what I needed and not just closing a sale.
Went in after being told I had to replace wheel bearings and get front rotors machined. The techs couldn't find anything wrong with the bearings and my brakes work much better since having the rotors machined. They were quick and provided me with an accurate quote. Will definitely go back.

Was sold a ford truck, and was talked into the Ford warranty,they claimed would cover everything for 3 years. Then three weeks later when I had a belt issue with my vehicle. After being told even the engine can fall out of the car and if we took the warranty "everything" and I quote would be covered. Only to find out from there mechanic who then told us this is the fun part of his job, and then to get the news it will be 150-300 dollars..... Long story short do not trust this company or there weaselly salesmen who force sales upon you. Obviously the 5 out of 5 stars are there sales people trying to bump up there review percent.

Recently purchased 2015 mustang. Initial impression good but follow up on a simple thing has met with no adequate response from salesperson. Would not recommend this outlet. Will not deal with them in future and will go back to Glen Oak Ford where I have had very good service over the 6 vehicles I have purchases from them over the past dozen years. I know they are owned by the same owner group but clearly there is something wrong at this outlet!

From the parking lot each visit it appears that they service rental vehicle contracts before they prioritize paying customers. I won’t be making this mistake a 3rd time.

Worst dealership in town! They do not stand behind their work and will give you the cold shoulder if you have any issues. Suburban did not complete the repair correctly and passed the buck to Ford, saying it’s a manufacturers issue even though suburban did the initial repairs. Now I am on the hook for 1000k repair. Even though there is clear evidence that this repair was incomplete and done wrong, the dealership will not take responsibility. After speaking with the dealership manager, Ian Jones, I am convinced he is the reason for such poor customer service at this location. He was very rude, condescending, unprofessional, and did not care about his work and the safety of his customers. I will never recommend suburban motors to anyone. Very poor customer service.

My husband said he didn’t think he wanted something that small - long story short is that we ended up purchasing an Edge and we couldn’t be happier. Sean was amazing but so too were Collin and Justin. They all made us feel right at home and comfortable. The service department can't be reached directly - you get voicemail every time,. When I call, the appointment times are at least a week out. They won't deal with recall notices. on and on... seems like a great reason to go Tundra next time to me.

The Finance Dept. went well beyond the call of duty with our trade in. We had an issue that was no fault of theirs or ours, but they took ownership of the problem for us and resolved it. Can't say enough good things about our Saleman Gordon. If you want a new vehicle talk to him!

I received great service right up to the purchase of my 2015 F-150. Then the service dropped right off. Firstly, I was assured by the salesman that my truck would be washed each time I brought it in for service. The first time I did, I was told that Suburban doesn't offer that service. I mentioned the offer that was given by the salesman and I was told that he shouldn't have said that and he no longer worked there. Secondly, I was told that if I referred Suburban and that customer purchased a vehicle, I would receive a cheque for $100. I referred a friend who purchased the same truck about a month later. Next time I was in I mentioned it and I was told a cheque would be mailed to me. I never received one. Lastly, after a short time I noticed that the tail gate was not closing properly. One side would not close flush. I made an appointment and dropped it off for the day to have a service done as well. I picked it up and they didn't get to fixing it - I was told the right service person was not working that day. So I had to bring it in again. This time they adjusted it slightly, but it did not fix it. They acknowledged it and said that's all they could do. I wasn't satisfied and brought it in a third time. For some reason they were able to fix it this time. Suburban recently phoned me to try and get me in to upgrade my truck as if it were in my best interest due to the amount of money I would save. No mention of anything else. It was the classic service up front until you make the purchase and then poor after service. You forget Suburban that good after service continues to bring the customer back, as well as the positive word of mouth and social media attention you could have received. I love my truck and I get people asking about it often. I'm happy to tell them all about it, including the poor after service. I notice Suburban only posts positive ads on their website. And on Google reviews they put it on the customer to contact them if they have an issue. That didn't get me very far before. You see my name Suburban. You can do your own homework and see this all verified.

Just want to share with everyone my experience with SUBURBAN MOTORS. I brought my truck in for a service a couple weeks ago after I detailed it myself (so I knew every tiny mark on my paint) when I went to pick up my vehicle the mirror was scratched, looked like someone drove it under a branch or keyed the roof and one of my $6000 rims had a gouge out of it with a chunk of tire missing.At first they offered to fix my mirror and replace a tire as a "customer courtesy" but denied doing any of the damage and refused to fix the roof (why would you offer to fix something you didn't do? Doesn't make sense.. ) then anytime I tried to call and talk to the manager he was " in a meeting" and never called me back himself instead he had the lowest down front desk kid call me and try and make deals which is very unprofessional. Now I have to eat 2 separate 500$ deductibles because its "2 separate claims" from damages that weren't on my truck before I dropped it off to them. Now keep in mind this is the same car lot that I bought my truck from and am STILL making payments on! In my opinion SUBURBAN MOTORS is a joke and I will never send or take my business to them ever again.
If you are looking for a new vehicle this is the place to go. All the staff is really nice and helpful. They were able to give me a really good deal on a new F-150 . I highly recommend this dealership to others and see myself coming here in the future
I purchased a used vehicle at Suburban from Brodie Harris. The negotiation was very fair and handled without dealer pressure. I felt Brodie was professional in dealing with the trade in and in explaining the financial summary. subsequent to buying , the vehicle required a Service appointment . Brodie immediately arranged it and the Service Department was also a pleasure to deal with.
I was unable to get the car I wanted due to my own issues but Broodie gave me 5 star service throughout he went over and above what was required. Thankyou very much for your hospitality.

Horrible. Sold me a car under fraudulent conditions.Said that me financing would allow me to take the car to the States. Get to the States and Scotia Bank said that I am not authorized to have the car in the States. Called Suburban and they said that it is not their problem. Won't do anything to help me.

Definitely don’t recommend. Have not had good luck with service at this location. Today went in for a 10:30 appointment and didn’t get in till 12:45. What’s the point of an appointment if ya can’t get in when the appointment is?? Also a few years back brought a commercial f750 to them for repair and service. The truck was bought from this exact dealership. When we showed up they came out and looked at the truck and said it was to big for their shop to work on and I had to go elsewhere to get it serviced. Ya think they would know what size of truck they sold. Have had other dealings with this dealership too and it’s just not worth going there anymore for me at least. Very disappointed.

Honest review (cos nobody has the best experience ever buying a car). Went suv shopping. Saw a few vehicles, a couple at suburban. Friendly staff(obviously to a potential buyer). Took a couple of days and finally made a deal on a 2013 ford explorer. Good car, good price. Paperwork went smoothly. Got the car home. 5 stars are for the sales consulatant Gordon Davidson. I did not feel pressurised into the sale (of course they are salespeople and need to make a sale). Sales manager (Michael) even let us think about it overnight before committing. Went back the next day cos my key fob wont work ( i was given only one at the time of purchase and advised this vehicle only came with one key fob), Gordon was already waiting with a duplicate key fob and took the one that wont work and had it fixed in no time. Would definitely give these two a shot next time i need a vehicle (probably an F150 in a couple of years).
I would give this appalling company a negative star rating if I could. Less than two hours after driving my Ford Ranger off the lot after an emergency airbag recall, the steering column ignition malfunctioned. Suburban promised to pay for the tow back to the lot and then refused. They denied the problem had anything to do with the airbag replacement. This after keeping my truck for a month because they did not have the appropriate replacement part. When we complained to Ford about the delay, we were told the part for this particular recall wasn't yet available. After we contacted Transport Canada and our MP, we received a sudden call from Suburban saying our vehicle was done and ready for pickup. 'What did you put in," we asked, "since, according to Ford, the airbag part wasn't available." Suburban denied the airbag part wasn't available and said they had had a sudden cancellation which allowed them to bump our vehicle up in the queue. The very first time I attempted to start the truck after driving it off the lot the ignition froze and all the the usual tricks (jiggling the steering wheel while turning the ignition key, etc.) failed to work. Three people tried to start the truck without success. Even though the airbag goes into the steering column, Suburban denied any connection between their work on the vehicle and the jammed ignition. After getting the truck started, we drove away, none the wiser. Now I am afraid to drive the truck and am wondering what replacement part they installed and when the ignition is going to fail again.
I stopped by Suburban Motors and got chatting with one of the new sales guys, Nick Favel. I got to chatting with Nick and he was super straight up, knew his stuff but was never pushy. I’ve had horrendous car buying experiences in the past but Nick quickly put all those other guys to shame. He was diligent in getting the information I asked for and was very knowledgeable. I ended up sitting down to discuss the price but we were unable to come to an agreement that day. There were no hard feelings at all and I asked him to keep me in mind for something more in my budget. The next day I got a call and Nick had managed to talk the Sales Manager down closer to what I was willing to pay and we were able to make a deal. Nick’s sales practices were great, he was clearly there to sell but he never was pushy or made me feel uncomfortable. It was clear he was working his hardest to get me what I wanted at the price I could afford. Justin in the finance department was also great and made the closing of the sale smooth and very easy. All around a great experience at Suburban Motors and I would highly recommend Nick and Justin for your next purchase.
Recently purchased a new vehicle, from Suburban motors Victoria, and dealt with Matt McLennan. He gave great customer service and didn’t leave us feeling pressured. All of our questions were answered and we are very pleased with our decision.
First time I ever visited Suburban Motors. Went there for a key reprogramming service. It's allright. It's nice that they provide free coffee and wifi - a definite bonus. I also needed a printout of my vehicle's window sticker and that was promptly provided free of charge. The only reason i didnt give 5 stars is that the service seemed a little slow. I think my vehicle sat for about 30-40 minutes before being taken in for the service, and this was right when the place opened. Took about a full hour before I was able to get my truck and go. Does it really take 1 hour to program a key?
Apparently business is good. I had an appointment for a test drive confirmed with a salesperson. First, he didn't show up, had someone who had no idea what was going on stand in his place. Then, the car that I wanted to test drive was not available. Pretty good indicator of the level of customer service. Won't be buying a Ford.
We had an absolutely nightmare here! I strongly encourage others to simply go 30 seconds down the road to another dealership. PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE. We brought truck in for servicing and they tried to return it to us with extensive damage. A 2ft long scratch the in the roof, a chunk out of the tire and our brand new rims and also a stratch out of the driver side mirror! We pointed this out to them before accepting the vehicle back and all they could say is "you'all have to wait until the manager gets in on Monday". We did not accept our vehicle from them for 4 days! Its been weeks and countless phone calls and we have still yet to talk to a manager. At one point we got a phone call from some kid in the shop saying that they accept no responsibility but as a "customer courtesy" will replace 1 tire and the drive side mirror.... (why would you offer to fix something you didn't do?) We now have to pay over 1000$ out of pocket plus our monthly insurance premiums are going up because of this! Customer service is not their priority- once they've got your money the couldn't care less! PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE.

this place is a joke. They just very pushy and want to cut the deal right away. DON'T LET THEM SEE YOUR WALLET. They hold my drive license and won't give it back for an hour and keep pushing me to leave a deposit for holding a car which is completely unacceptable.

Look at these punks listing cars at 1500-2500 with no intention to sell at that price and just getting click bait. Super shady scam responses when you inquire about it too. John Grieve from Carson is well known for scratching his head on deals but rumour has it he’s been scratching his head to this date and must have scratched a hole through his brain.
Made a reasonable deal on a new truck that had to be brought in from another dealer. When I take delivery there are a few scratches, the leather is damaged and the truck is dirty. So it gets washed again but it's still very dirty. I make an appointment to leave the truck overnight so they can get the scratches and leather fixed and have the truck detailed. When I pick up the truck, the chrome is still stained and dirty. I point out the very substandard detail job and the salesman says that's the best they can do. So buyer beware, the first thing you might need to do with your brand new vehicle is get it cleaned.
I have been purchasing vehicles form Suburban motors for years now and I thought it was important to let everyone know how impressed I was thsi week with a certain individual who exceeded my expectations for myself and my wife on a previous service. Rob Cavaghan - Service advisor- extension 31204 was simply a true professional in every way possible. He really has a special approach with his clients and the ability to create some excitement on a task that is generally a negative position telling people bad news on costs and repairs needed. I have bought multiple high end trucks at suburban. The service department is top notch. The sales department sold my 6000$ aftermarket rims with my car corvette after I brought in the stock rims. Never got them back and they kept giving me the run around. What a joke.
When I came pulled onto suburbans lot I was met by a very well dressed man Kevin, he greeted me with a smile and a hand shake, from the second I spoke to him I felt very welcomed and valued, Kevin introduced me to the sales manager Rob who was also very well put together, Kevin walked me inside and even offered me a coffee or water. I didn’t end up purchasing but Kevin had put no pressure on me and I will definitely be in contact with him when I’m ready to purchase a vehicle! Thank you Kevin!
We recently bought a new vehicle from salesman Cohan, who did everything in his power to make it a positive experience. We found him to be knowledgeable, helpful, respectful and above all -- patient. We never felt as though we were being rushed along or pressured in any way. He listened carefully and represented us well when it was time to make the deal. His after-sale follow-up was exemplary. I am impressed by the work and integrity of this company, and I am particularly indebted to service advisor Stephen Freisinger for his excellent advice and suggestions that have kept my 2007 LS model running like a top. All repairs to the car, and regular maintenance, have been "spot on."

Suburban Motors tried to destroy me. Literally ! I live in my truck and I have for many years. the people at Suburban Motors recognize my truck as the truck that someone has been sleeping in for the past 10 years. When I took it there for repair they held it for one month without doing anything. When I threatened to have it towed they pulled it into the shop. I originally brought it there for an oil leak. When I left my driver's side door was ripped off, my engine stunk like J-B Weld, the oil leak was not repaired, and the mechanics flashlight was wedged batteries tight up against my exhaust pipe. At the checkout counter the bill came to $10,000. I assume that they assumed that I would not be able to pay it and if for some reason I was able to get it back, a few kilometres down the road and it would be up in flames. Luckily I found the smoking batteries before they were able to burst into flames. Every time I drive by there the ones responsible hide their faces because they know just how guilty they really are.
My dashboard lights told me my engine was in trouble on my Ford Escape. I called Suburban because the web site said the service department was open on Saturday - the next day. I live in a remote Gulf Island, so getting to Victoria involves a long ferry ride and potentially an overnight stay. Booked a hotel and got up very early to catch the ferry, Arrived at Suburban to be told Saturday service is very limited...no mechanics on duty and I would have to come back on Monday. I was gob smacked. When I called to make an appointment, no indication of this was given. The person I spoke to knew why I was coming. However, all is well that ends well. I left the car and the issue was fixed. I believe they bent over backwards to make sure I was a happy customer - and I was. My opinion is the service department is terrific. The people who take the calls and book appointments are maybe a bit dim. I plan to take my car here again

This is a message to Nathan the sales manager and really not a reflection on the staff or team at the dealership. I went today to test drive a ford transit van, was helped by a very nice and helpful sales rep and ultimately found it wasn’t the right fit for me. I have a chemical sensitivity and quite a few of the well groomed salespeople had strong cologne or other beauty products on. Which is common. My rep was no different but he was actually super kind and took effort to not stand too close or overwhelm me, indicating he did have a a bit of cologne on and empathizing with why that was an issue for me. As we were going to leave he said he was going to ask inside if any other bigger vehicles might suit me. Out came Nathan. I could tell right away that Nathan was wearing a cologne or product as well, as he approached me I felt the typical headache, nausea and other effects that scented product exposure can cause me.. and I politely asked him if he could step back due his cologne. He did not step back. So I did. He looked at me with a bit of distan and said “are you serious” and proceed to laugh. A lot. In. A mocking way. I tolerated this until I didn’t... and then I was forced to draw his attention to the problem with his behaviour and the seriousness of my request to not be crowed and forced to breathe in whatever he had on. It’s too bad, becuause I can tell Nathan is used to a degree of authority on the lot and clearly doesn’t really give much thought to others unless it’s how to sell them a car.. I hope today was a learning experience for you. Next time you laugh or mock someone with a disability or difference don’t be surprised if you get an education again, and find yourself apologizing after you have been extremely rude, cavalier and unprofessional. I’m sure ford doesn’t want to know it’s staff mock differently abled people.

If you're thinking of buying the maintenance plan consider that they'll take your vehicle for half a day minimum to do a 20min oil change. So it depends on how much free time you have to have it sit in their parking lot for 3 hrs before they even move it, if they even do it that day.
1)Not the best experience, paid for some work, and then was told by others that they could tell that the work was not done. went to some one else and they confirmed, the work had not been done. Went to ford and they say yes they did and the others don't know what they are talking about. 2)Second chance, had work done and the next time I was told there was damage, but Ford said it was not them. They were the only one who had worked on it. Confidence is gone.

Having been to four dealerships in Victoria in the last 12 years, I was super impressed with Suburban. Although it seems that the whole process of purchasing a vehicle, still hasnt changed since the first time I bought a car (circa 1980's), eg. look at cars on lot; talk to whatever salesperson approaches you; decide on car; negotiate price; get left in room while salesperson goes to talk to manager; salesperson comes back and the process is repeated - price settled; then off to another room to talk to finance; then ICBC rep comes......always be prepare to spend at least 4 hours! I felt blessed to have Justin as my salesperson, as he really wants to change peoples impression of purchasing a vehicle. A super nice young man, who at least informed me of the steps as they occurred. For this reason, I have recommended Suburban as "THE" place to buy a Ford or used car. Anyway, saying all that, everyone I have dealt with a the dealership is great. Had my 4 month service done, and experienced the same friendly, helpful customer first attitude with the people in the service dept. As I bought my 'dream' car, I dont think I will be in the market for a new one for a long, long time, but I always recommend Suburban. Keep up the good work. Luv ya Justin!!
Would never go to glenoak ford bought the truck from them but Suburban Motors is the only place I will take it. The front desk staff are helpful and are strait with you with a good estimate of how long your vehicle will take. The mechanics are verry professional and don't damage your paint or your interior door panels and leave grease on your paint like there counter part glenoak.
I purchased used Car from this dealer.At the time of purchase the sales guy told me that the battery was brand new and told me it has a warranty of 42 months replacement and I was like "wow!! what a dealership". but now when I when I went to service department to get that battery checked as it's giving me issues, they did not bother checking and said "sorry wrong information passed to me by sales person". may be the sales person was dishonest or the service department doesn't care for used car owner. I was planning my next upgrade from this dealer, but thanks to this issue I won't trust this dealer with their words and suggest everyone to record your deal or get it in writing.

Took advantage of my lack of knowledge. Over charged by at least 5 thousand dollars. Waited until after I signed the papers to tell me about a bunch of damage I didn't notice right away. They will bully you in to buying from them and over charge. If you're military they will try that whole ''we take care of family " B.S.

Suburban Motors was amazing to deal with, i went to several car lots where they tried to upsell me on a vehicle playing games and being less than honest about what they could offer. Suburban Motors was the first place to give me and my partner a straight forward honest deal on the new vehicle we were looking for without the games, the whole process from start to finish was an absolute pleasure with the Sales Manager Rob. He took care of every detail and walked me through every feature of the vehicle making sure i was completely comfortable and happy with every aspect of the process including walking me over to their service department and showing me where i would be bringing my vehicle for oil changes. The vehicle was fully fueled and freshly washed and detailed and they even followed up with me the next day to check in and see how my first night felt in my new car. My every question was answered and i truly feet like if a question were to come up they would still be there even after the sale. At Suburban Motors you are not just another sale, i will definitely deal with them again from now on.
We had a help from one of dealers, C**** to look for a car that suits for us today. Unfortunately, it did not turn out a great experience. We felt pressured and uncomfortable to communicate with him. He also failed to provide us detailed knowledge of the cars that we considered to purchase. I asked if I could go for the test drive for the very first car that he pulled out but he suggested other options which were worse than the one. We did go for a test drive for the second option, asked him for another test drive for the first option again. However, someone else were already test-driving at that point and he promised that we could go for it after they come back. We noticed that the person were willing to purchase for the one that we were hoping to test drive, and we wanted to leave there since there was no point. This guy came to us, said "get close close" and explained about how the person will do financing (Not sure if it considers as exposing a buyer's confidentiality though) and it is possible for us to negotiate since we pay on cash. It did not sound very professional and reliable. They attemp to have very good deals but I would not feel comfortable to come back for the future if he helps us again.

No pressure and very helpful with every question or request that I had. He is an asset to your dealership and made the purchase of my truck a great experience. Sean Kinsella at Suburban was amazing through out the whole experience. From my first visit there, during the sale and even now after the sale has been done. I went to several other dealerships after my first visit to Suburban to get an idea of what was out there, even test drove a couple of other cars. What brought me back to Suburban was the service I received. Sean was well informed and not pushy at all. I would recommend any one looking for a vehicle to visit Suburban Motors and see Sean. Don’t waste your time at suburban motors Victoria!! My husband and I brought in our Ford edge as it was making a loud rattling sound at start up. The mechanic contacted me saying he couldn’t hear any strange noise and my car was ready to be picked up. After explaining to him yet again that it only happens in the mornings when the car is cold he kept it for another night. I had already stated this when making the appointment so they would know to start the car and listen for the loud rattling noise in the morning. They kept it for another day, then I received another message from them saying that they COULD in fact hear the sound this time but it didn’t last long enough for them to figure out what it was or how to fix it. And that my car was ready to be picked up….??? This dealership doesn’t have ANY interest in helping problem solve to fix an issue on one of their own vehicles. Very frustrating! Don’t waste your time or money here!
Classic used car sales tactics of the worst kind. Leave you waiting to make you feel invested in the negotiation, change their story. Watch out. They may not disclose all issues with the car. Make sure you have any used vehicle inspected by a independent mechanic and do not trust their own evaluations. Do not under any circumstances sign off on any paperwork letting them off the hook for any car issues that they will try to slip past you. I negotiated on the total price including all fees, then they tried to add all sorts of "fees" once sales passes you over to the paperwork folks. If they try that, or any of the other stuff, just walk away.
Hello, Just wanted to share my experience at Ford dealership Suburban Motors in Victoria BC. I owned a Ford truck, kept it in mint condition but wanted an upgrade. I checked out a dealership in Nanaimo but felt the sales person was trying to sell me a product. I get that’s the job but I hate that. I don’t like being told what I “need” and having it twisted around to reflect on my life (I.e “you need this truck because it would be good for the family”). My truck sufficed and my family wasn’t getting any bigger. Either way in comes Suburban Motors. I ended up in Victoria to visit my in laws. Drove by the Ford dealership and was viewing the trucks. I met sales manager Nathan Forbes. Nathan was fantastic to deal with and showed me around. I told him what I liked and he threw a set of keys at me and told me to take the truck for a while. I told him to jump in and we headed out for about 20 minutes. That’s all it took at I was hooked. As far as “sales person” goes I felt as though I was being shown a truck versus sold on one. Nathan told me to just look around and answered any questions I had. I felt as though he was an educational guide versus someone telling me what I needed. In fact I recall multiple instances where he would say “no pressure” and told me to give him a shout if I had any questions. I didn’t tell Nathan I was sold on it and sat on the idea for a few weeks. I ended up calling Nathan and discussing costs. We worked out a good price and I sold them my truck. Nathan took care of all the customizations and requests I had made to get my truck looking the way I wanted it. I picked up my truck the day before my birthday and I loved it. For the following months I got calls from Nathan just to check up on my purchase and make sure I was fully satisfied. I was utterly impressed with Nathan and the team at Suburban motors. I honestly felt as though I had made a friend versus being sold a truck. Thank you Suburban Motors

Worst service ever!!! Truck got broken into while on the lot (no re embersment for damages) plus way over charged. Got a worst case price that was $400 less than the actual price. Multiple terrible experiences, will NEVER return. Do not bring your vehicle to the service e department unless u want to be frustrated and over charged
No Star!!!! Extremely poor customer service for ICBC claims. Disorganized, slow, several back and forth appointment for a small job and at the end very poor quality result. When we said this is not a satisfactory job, he said I thought it should be OK. We said it is not OK please redo the job. He promised to call us back to fix the deficiency but never called. Very disappointed. AVOID!!!
My wife and I had the most amazing experience here! We were moving to Nanaimo for work and needed a vehicle that day! We had gone in trying to purchase a used vehicle. Our salesman Jesse was incredible! It seemed like it was going to be a hopeless case to get approval for the vehicle we really wanted. Jesse and Dave in finance went completely above and beyond to make sure we walked out of there with a new car! So above and beyond, Dave fought tooth and nail to get us approval! Not only did he get us the used car we wanted but got us into a brand new vehicle! We absolutely love it and have never seen a team work so hard for customers in our lives! After hours of Dave trying we finally got our approval! So off we go to get it insured. Insurance asks for my ID and I give them my carecard and it wasn’t acceptable identification. It was closing time and here we are feeling like this is over and it won’t be possible until Monday, Dave tells us to hold on and he’s gone to try to figure something out. Him and Jesse come back just moments later and Jesse had offered to drive us in our newly purchased vehicle with the dealer plate which was an hour home and an hour back when he was supposed to be off of work and dedicated his own time to take us. We got back and insurance still took over an hour to get us all finished up. Jesse waited patiently until the very end. We want to highly recommended this dealership and specifically Jesse, Dave and their colleagues for all the time and effort they put in to make it happen for us! It’s also a very warm and friendly atmosphere! They make you feel like friends and are wonderful down to earth people. We will be forever greatful for all they did for us! Thanks guys! Great work!

Took my girlfriend's 2017 Mustang in for repairs; just a medium sized ding in the rear bumper and a handful of scratches on the left side door. It should have taken maybe a day, but they managed to stretch it out to three days in total. Before even bringing the car in, we inquired if they had space in the schedule and if they could finish it in a reasonable amount of time -- they assured us they would. She got the car back and it looks they had a kid with a crayon try to color it in like it was a coloring book. The ding in the back looks more or less back to original, but they managed to mess up the back-up camera. Now when reversing, it looks like the screen is having a stroke; the colors become inverted and it waves back and forth horizontally. Sometimes it persists, sometimes it goes away quickly. You'd think with all the extra time they took, they could have at least returned the car in better condition than when it went in. Don't bother with these guys, hire someone off Craigslist and you'll have a better chance at success.

I am specifically writing this review because of how amazing of an experience my Wife and I had. We love cars and while looking at the new Ford Mustangs we were approached by a wonderful salesman Sean Kinsella. He not only was very friendly and fair, but also a car person himself. He didn't sell us a car on using sale tactics, he sold us on pure car enthusiasm and excitement. I have not seen such We knew he loves cars while (and this is very true) While driving in a beautiful black V8 Mustang, a Lamborghini Huracan that was also blacked out and all three of us gasped at it. My wife and I love cars, and to see the same level of amazement from Sean was wonderful. I will never forget that moment. We ultimately left with a 2017 Black Mustang and a fun and wonderful experience. We met quite a few of your team over there and each member brought experience and optimism I have never experienced before. I have had other experiences with salesman, but Sean's professionalism, great attitude and work ethic has made Suburban Motors stand above any other dealer I have dealt with. If we ever need anything, I will certainly be looking for Sean again! Great Job guys!

Very professional, helpful and fast service
Took my truck here to diagnose a vibration issue in the drivetrain. Was happy at first as they seemed to be asking a few questions to try and diagnose the issue. Long story short, the technician made some wrong assumptions about when the vibration started and therefore did not search properly for the source of the vibration. Erich admitted as much on the phone to me. It was recommended that I replace my entire driveshaft with no clear reason and no quote for any recommended work. The tech that gave me the truck back seemed confused about why this was recommended at all and appalled that no quote was given with the recommended work. The next day when Erich called to explain he admitted replacing the driveshaft was probably a hasty solution but he was convinced that the yoke was bent and should be replaced. I asked him to give me a quote on that which took days before I was given a call back. I paid $170 and they only looked at the driveshaft and told me they did not even consider anything else as a source of the vibration. Complete waste of money, I would never go back here or recommend them for service to anyone. Took the truck to a different shop that had the issue (transmission, torque converter issue) figured out in less than a day and completely repaired in two. They did not even bother giving me the truck back before ordering parts and scheduling repairs. Ford didnt even give me a quote on repairs let alone try and schedule it. Either they didn't really believe it was the driveshaft or they really don't care much about servicing your vehicle. Glad I spent my money elsewhere and happy my truck is running perfectly again. No thanks to Ford. Other shop checked out the driveshaft and all components and said there is absolutely nothing wrong with any of it. Overall bad customer service, no follow up, poor mechanics, and I paid for a diagnostic that wasn't even really done.

Everyone was professional, well informed, and took the time to explain every question i had. I recently was in the market for a new truck and happened to pop into suburban to take a look at what they had that would suit my needs and see what kind of prices they had compared to a dealer up Island ! As soon as I got there Dan Holden sales approached me and we started chatting. Basically his professionalism by just listening to what I needed and wanted was unmatched he didn't push me or try to sell me something I wasnt looking for rather offered me a coffee and showed me some options of what I was looking for ! Dan brought his sales manager Matt Maillot into the picture and based on what I had told Dan came with some pretty good options for me to look at. Basically to say the least Matt and Dan were able to get me into the truck I Wanted F150 Lariat not what I needed and there service was unreal and they took care of me from the time I stepped onto the Lot all the way to switching me over to my new Ride !! Bought my 2010 truck new at Suburban Motors. Had a number of issues that were more or less resolved, as it was warranty work. One of the issues was a leaking rear main bearing/ crankshaft oil seal; it was changed under warranty. Two years later, warranty expired, and the seal is leaking worse than ever. Phoned the service tech I had been dealing with, Erich Eichhorn, and he assured me it was no problem--to make an appointment and it would be looked after. Arriving at Suburban, with my wife following for a ride home, I soon learnt there was no warranty on the work that they did. Very unhappy with unanswered questions; what is the cause of these seal failures, and why isn't Ford dealing with it--why won't Suburban Motors stand behind their work--and last, why was I led to believe it was all covered ? Talked to service manager, with no results. Will be in the market for a new truck in 2 to 3 years; won't be buying it from them. Darryl Webber
I recently purchased a 2015 F150 with very low kms and many options. I was treated by all the staff, particularly Cole Navarette and Jason Mullett, with respect and professionalism. I had test driven several other trucks in the Greater Victoria area before visiting Suburban Motors. When I explained what I was looking for in a truck, I was shown a truck that met all those needs and then more. It was exactly what I was looking for. The price negotiations were reasonable and making the decision to purchase the truck was easy. All the staff I dealt with were friendly, helpful and professional. I was very pleased both the pre and post sales service I received. It was a pleasure to drive off their lot with my new truck.

This truck was in excellent condition with only 11K and was very competitively priced. Everything (minor) I asked to be done to the truck was performed to my complete satisfaction upon delivery. They also went the extra mile to get me top dollar for my trade. I have purchased dozens of cars and trucks - I can honestly say that the folks at Suburban were a pleasure to deal with!

He really listened to what I was looking for and tried his best to accommodate my needs. I did not feel pressured to buy a car right then and there. I was contemplating a new car vs used as I was not ready to spend a lot of money. Kevin gave me both options and advised me of the pros and cons for each. Loyalty Manager Chris Brookes called me into the office. I told him more than once I didn’t want to trade my car, and he told me he’d have other options. I’m told it’ll be about a 20 minutes appointment, so I go there on my lunch break from work. He says that someone needs to appraise my car, and I’ll have to leave it and come back. So, I do. When I come back, I tell him again I’m not interested in trading my car. He tells me I have no other options, but he wanted to help me because I’m close to his kids ages and if I was his child he would want me to make a good choice. Why older men like Chris think it’s okay to parent their customers, I’m not really sure. I hope that’s not in Ford’s training, it’s extremely inappropriate and about time that stops happening. I’m not a child, nor is anyone my age. We are adults now. Anyways, I tell him that I can see the pattern, and that this has happened before. I get a call from a dealership that wants me to trade my car, they call me in, they convince me... so on and so forth.... He obviously didn’t really look at my file because he gets himself confused about who would have been calling me. I tell him some reasons why I’m not happy with Ford specifically, one being I was told I would get oil changes for the first year included. He mocked me, tells me that it’s $79X2, and that’s barely worth it. Now, that’s not the point here though, the point is I was lied to before. The loyalty manager stands up, and promptly kicks me out of his office. He yelled to me “I WILL NOT HAVE SOME 26 YEAR OLD GIRL TELL ME honestly I’m not sure what he said here, something about me being in debt because they sold me a car…? GET OUT OF MY OFFICE. I don’t get up immediately, probably because some stranger that literally asked me to come to his office just yelled at me. He then COMES BACK, yelled at me AGAIN to get out of his office! If I’m not mistaken, loyalty generally deals with customers that have bought a vehicle before from Ford… customers that probably have a complaint or two, and customers that you’re going to need to convince to stay with Ford. His training was very poorly done. I have worked in Loyalty care, and in sales myself and I know for sure that I am better than Chris at it. Is this the man you want running your loyalty team? Someone that can’t handle a “26 year old little girl” asking questions? To sum it up, Chris Brookes called me out of no where to come into his office. He tried to sell me a car, I say no. He literally throws a temper tantrum and kicks me out of his office. Embarrassing. **EDIT: I contacted the manager of the building, who then "apologized", and assured me that I would at least have the free oil changes on my file. That was not added until I called and asked about it again. After a few back and forth e-mails of Nathan Forbes literally ignoring my questions, and asking me to come back into the office so it would be faster for him (even though I had literally just been yelled at my someone he has in power there). He stopped replying and then did not do what he told me he would until I asked again. That's the forth or fifth time now. Again, it has nothing to do with the oil changes themselves, but the fact that I have been consistently told something that wasn't given. Terribly ran business. Hopefully the actual owners see this. Sounds like they should rethink who they have running their stores.
I went into get a part for my Focus after trying the other ford dealership a couple blocks away (closed on Saturdays), and was helped by one of the service guys who had jumped on to help since the line up had a few people in it. He apologized for keeping me waiting, and suggested that I could get the part cheaper elsewhere. Altogether, it was a quick and cheerful process for what could otherwise have been completely the opposite. I wish I'd gotten his name to give a proper shout out. Thank you!

I have been a long time customer of this dealership and have bought 2 new mustangs from them! However I was planning to finance a Shelby GT350 through them and they put no effort into the deal and kept spinning me story’s of problems with the approval! I then decided to contact mainland Ford and within a week they called me with an approval! It took one call to them and they organized everything! However the day I got the approval was a day to late and I missed out on the car! This suburban Ford has still not gotten back to me, if my review sways one individual from buying from this dealership I am happy go get better service from mainland Ford! Go the extra mile and deal with professionals in the game not wannabe dealerships that don’t think much of their customers!!!!
Stephen Freisinger is the best customer service rep I have ever encountered in my many years of owning cars. He is unfailingly helpful, understanding, knowledgeable and informative. He always goes the extra mile cheerfully and efficiently. I will continue to purchase my cars from this dealership just because of Stephen. At the end of our lease term, we returned the car and one key fob. The next day we returned the second key fob. After about a month we received a bill from Ford Credit to charge us for the second key fob. We called Ford Credit and explained that we did return the second key fob and should not be charged for it. Ford Credit directed us to have Surburban Motors to fax them a short letter to confirm that we did return the second key fob. I then called Surburban Motors and asked them to do just that, but the Surburban Motors guy said he would not do that and he asked me to call Ford Motors again and ask Ford Motors to look for it in the car because the car has already been returned to them. I do not understand why as a customer, I have to be the one coordinating between Surburban Motors and Ford Credit, if neither of them is willing to do what the other side is requesting what shall I do? When I tried to explain again the Surburban Motors guy got irritated and said various things to attack me. I cannot see how this type of service survive for the long term. We will for sure not considering buying or leasing from Surburban Motors again and will share our experience with all.

I received a call from Tamer (salesman) on my 2nd year anniversary with my Dodge Journey that I bought from them and was asked how I was enjoying the vehicle and if it was still working for my life situation. As it was getting a bit snug, I went in to Suburban Motors just to get an idea of what they had at the time, I had mentioned that I was in no rush and there was no pressure on anything from them. I was looking to get something used and with a bit more room. I was brought a 2017 used dodge Van, I test drove it and was looking for something with the same feature as my Dodge Journey RT. We went back and found the 2016 Dodge caravan RT. It was getting maintenance done on the Media Unit so I couldn't test it out. I had to leave to take the kids to birthday parties, so instead of taking my Journey, the allowed me to take the first Van I test drove for the day. I came back later in the evening with the whole family and we test drove the RT and my wife fell in love. It was exactly what we needed. As they knew we had 3 crazy children, Tamer and Justin (finance) were very prompt with getting the paperwork ready and always making sure we were taken care of during the process. The amount of patients and care of the people at Suburban Motors made everything very welcoming. This is the 2nd vehicle I have purchased for them and would do it again in a heat beat. Thanks Shane.

Terrible service. No communication between glen oak and suburban. Left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing. Rude service reps. Had to go there three times and re explain everything to them to get them to honour their warranty. Will never buy a Ford again
I just just got into my new F150 from suburban motors. I couldn’t be more happier with the truck. Normally buying a new vehicle from a dealership can be painful, but that was far from the case thanks to Nathan and Chris. These lads went over and above to make sure I was happy. The deal has been done and they are still checking in to make sure that everything is alright. I will not be going anywhere else in the future to buy a vehicle, and I highly recommend that if you need one, go and talk to Nathan. I know good management when I see it. Amazing team with great service. I purchase a truck from salesmen Justin and Brandon about a month ago. They were both knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. The sales manager Matt was very friendly and helpful as well. After searching many lots, and experiencing many disappointing potential sales interactions, arriving at suburban was a relief. We couldn't be happier with our experience at Suburban Motors in Victoria. When we first arrived on the lot we were met by one of the sales associates, Cole Navarrete. Cole's approach was friendly and casual but still professional. He took the time to ask where we were from, what we were looking for in a vehicle, if we had a particular vehicle in mind and why. Soon we were joined by Cole's colleague, Sean Sterling and the hunt for my car was on. We took two vehicles for a test drive, an MKC and an MKX. Cole and Sean were fabulous. Any questions we had were answered without hesitation. Both gentlemen knew their products, were able to suggest the best options as far as warranty and made it very clear their first priority was our 100% satisfaction in our purchase. I really can't say enough about the service we received from Cole and Sean. They were patient, professional and not once did I feel pressured. 6 months later I am cruising around in my very first brand new car - an MKX and I absolutely LOVE it!.
