Simply THE BEST place to buy a used car in Victoria! The most hassle-free experience you could ask for in every way. John and I chatted on the phone after a speedy reply to my online inquiry. In 24hrs he had the leg work done and an approval within my budget waiting on the exact car I wanted. The paperwork took no time and we finalized the deal in under an hour. My husband and I were met by a lovely man named John, and everything started off right. We got to test drive the vehicle we were interested in with no problem, but after the return from our test drive and deciding that it was not the vehicle for us , the whole attitude changed. John went from being a friendly person to stand offish and quite arrogant. At that point I had already made up my mind that I would definitely not want to support this business just solely based on customer service , even if the perfect vehicle came through. It’s important to collaborate with one another, even if your customers don’t end up with a vehicle. So we left and he clearly didn’t give us a nice goodbye. On a side note , I can’t speak for all the vehicles , but the vehicle was not based on a fair market value , and was quite overpriced by $1,800 according to CarGurus. And much higher compared to Kellybluebook.

Top notch service from Keith!!! Recently my Honda Accord broke down completely and I needed a good inexpensive car fast. Keith found me a cute lil four door hatchback "Kia-Rio" for a great price with low mileage. The interior was like new and engine was properly inspected. Unfortunately when replacing the timing belt (which is awesome because that is the major concern specifically to Kia's) my fan belt got misaligned and created a squealing sound. But none to fear, Keith promptly got the squeal fixed and also ensured my sticky break pedal was done too. Small shop, big service. Personal and remarkably free of any slimey vibes for a used auto and service shop. We bought an SUV from here at low mileage and a very reasonable price, and haven't seen a better deal on identical models since. Totally unsatisfactory and thus dangerous service. In May of 2016, had this shop replace timing belt in 2002 Subaru. Subsequently advised by a different shop, the bolt and bolt hole for tensioner had been badly damaged by installer. But when this was brought to his attention, Sean was nonplussed, ignored the fact it is an interference engine and offered only “to speak to the boys”.

I bought a truck from John last month and I must say he is a great guy to deal with. First rate service from him. He really wanted to make sure that I was happy and that my truck was sound for when I take it in the bush for work. Any questions I had he would answer, and any concerns I had he had the mechanic look at it. I am quite enjoying my truck, and I would like to thank John and Dylan for making sure that I had everything I needed and was happy. I would defiantly recommend Malibu Motors if you are looking for a good used vehicle with sale staff that aren’t out just to get a sale. Very happy with service but I've had to bring my Volt in to the shop 4 times in 3 months and still isn't fixed. Bought a newer car in an attempt to avoid waisting time with repairs and have spent more time with this car in the shop then with my old one. All experiences have been more than positive and my primary contact is John N. As a seasoned business owner I am normally comfortable in any business environment but have deep suspicions around this industry. The Malibu gang have been completely above board on everything and I have never left the lot with feelings other than I have been fairly treated. Moreover, the last little runabout I purchased died suddenly within a few weeks. Without hesitation and exercising their own 3 month warranty, they took it back and had it repaired without any drama or gamesmanship. Good people, good business.

Best Customer Service I've Ever Received! Got in touch with Sean about picking up a 2005 Volkswagen Golf TDI for a fair price at Malibu Motors. The only time I could come from the mainland to the island to get it was on a Sunday. Sean went out of his way to meet me outside of business hours on his day off and even drove and waited with me at the insurance place (as there regular insurance provider was unavailable on Sundays)! I had a bit of a rocky start with a part breaking in the first week of ownership that Malibu Motors would never have been aware of was in need of repair (EGR Valve). Sean stepped up and paid for the repair from a shop on the mainland and the car has been sailing smooth ever since. Great customer service, beautiful vehicle, and will definitely be recommending to friends and family! Thanks Sean!

Bought a vehicle over the phone and had to take it to get at out of province inspection in a different province right after the purchase. The vehicle failed inspection, but they took care of everything at their cost and helped me out the entire way. Wow!!!... I'm literally shocked how well I was taken care of. The owner John really took care of me from start to finish. Not only did Malibu Motors fix or replace anything that needed fixing/ replacing in my new purchase, they also drove it to my mechanic of choice for further inspection. However, I was a bit disappointed and surprised that the salesman I was dealing with said he wouldn’t even put a full tank in the hatchback I was purchasing as it was empty. I had to argue for that and he had to “ask” the owner. He did fill it in the end but I’ve never purchased a vehicle before where they even considered sending me off on an empty tank. This salesman was nicer at the end when we were actually doing the transaction, but in the beginning he just didn’t seem to really care to have our business.

The charming and engaging Dylan greeted us and found out what we were after and then turned us over to John, who was so friendly and helpful. He only charged for 2 hours of labour on a job where craigslist mechanics quoted 5 hours. He let me store car there for free until payday and he scanned it free. Just wanted to give a shout out to Sean. Our sunroof on our 2017 Tucson, which we purchased in October 2020, wasn't closing properly. It would close very slowly, stop midway and reopen. We had a PT Cruiser with a sunroof that opened into the roof. The Tucson has an exterior style sunroof that opens up onto the roof. Two different styles of sunroofs. Sean sprayed a liberal amount of silicone spray in the track hidden in the roof. The sunroof closed much better with no problem at all. Basic maintenance is all that is needed. Thanks a bunch Sean!!!

Our daughter purchased her first vehicle from Malibu and all I can say is WOW. We had to head back home to Calgary and couldn't be there when the vehicle was ready to be picked up but they took care of her in every aspect. Constant communication and they ensured her vehicle was ready as promised. John even picked her up to take her to get insurance. As a parent living 13 hours away from our daughter we thought a million things could go wrong. Everything went perfect she is beyond thrilled with her first vehicle. Thank you for everything it is greatly appreciated. I would recommend these guys a million times over. Absolutely incredible.

Short guy was a lil bit of a hot head, kinda made my experience traumatizing in all honesty. Found it especially funny because the whole reason the salesman snapped and turned his back to me was because I asked him if he could bring down his price on a 2006 honda civic with 190 000 km on it for 6 GRAND. I wasn't expecting a drastic price drop but he basictly called me an idiot. Ironic cuz THE CAR IS STILL THERE AND YOU LOWERED THE PRICE.
