Very disappointed in Ina Motors. We had an arrangement that we would be the first to see and purchase a truck. We spent considerable time communicating and seeing the truck prior to work being done on it. The salesman promised once it was complete he would contact us. We told him if the work promised was completed we would purchase in cash that day. Days later we are contacted and advised they made another arrangement with someone else. They did not contact us to advise and give us an opportunity. This has put us in a very poor position as we needed this vehicle immediately and stopped shopping for others based on the agreement. Not good business practices.

In my experience with car dealerships. This was Amazing. Any car place will be GLAD to sell you a car.. But this place made sure that I was well taken care of. For starters. I bought a Jeep Cherokee 2014 Fully Loaded.. This car would have cost 50 Grand or MORE for someone to buy new... and I got it for $22'500. only 60k on the vehicle. No claims, 1 owner. No dings or scratches. Moon Roof that goes all the way to the back seats. Anyways. I had never heard of this company, and their first impression I was very impressed. How they went Above & Beyond: I had a rock chip that I pointed out and they gave me a new windshield. No questions. Weeks after my sale. They had their glass business come to my house and change it there. Very convenient. Great job! I will be recommending this place, for sure...

I would stay away from this place. The staff itself is great however the way management treats staff is rather questionable and borderlines unethical. The manager recently fired an employee because he wasn't performing as well only weeks after his father passed away. He was expected to get over it just like that. That is cutthroat behavior and I will not support such a business nor the bad habits of management there. If you shop there, you are padding the pockets of that manager. Why do that when there are other places where staff is treated better. Sure, INA may appear to give you a deal but is it worth it at the expense of knowing how staff is truly treated?

9 years ago, I bought my very first vehicle from Ina Motors. When time came to replace it, they were the first place I looked. I was excited to see that the business had found its way from being located in some obscure location, to moving right in plain sight on Douglas. The service and value of what they do has no doubt led to their success. It felt like there was a level of care and service we received that you would only hope for in a car lot. It was intentional and concerned without it seeming aggressive or pushy. The way they handled our car purchase felt like they went above and beyond! We had a test drive and then did some very friendly price haggling with a favourable outcome. Beware. The days of the shady used car salesmen are alive and unwell at Ina. We were sold what could only be described as a lemon 10 months ago. Today we have a car that can only be run with the help of a tow truck. We had the great misfortune of having a sit-down with the owner to try and come up with a resolution to 10 months of repairs and disappointment. His solution was to attempt to bully us, insult our family and pre-approve us for a car $8k out of our budget. His quote was "I am trying to help you". I don't mention his name because saying it causes me to break out in a rash. Fool me once...you know the rest. Don't line his, what I can only assume are, greasy pockets with your hard earned money. You have been warned. Buy from a reputable dealer backed by established ownership. You are welcome.

This was my first time purchasing a vehicle off a lot and I was assisted by Tom with the process. Tom was always fast to respond to any questions I had at any time they came up (not always during business hours). After numerous emails back and forth over the course of a few weeks, I was finally able to make my way to the dealership (a 6hr drive from where I live) where Tom met me in the lot as soon as I arrived. I had always heard the classic "car salesmen are always 'pushy' and don't care about you or your situation they only want your money.". To my surprise Tom was just as friendly in person as he had been in the emails, he pointed out the vehicles I had looked at online and then simply left me to view them and examine them in person. When I was satisfied with what I was seeing I asked to take a few for a test drive and again Tom went and got the necessary keys to all the vehicles instead of just pushing the most expensive vehicle right off the bat. At the end of the day, Tom took the time (4hrs) to help get me in a vehicle that suited my lifestyle and my budget without ever trying to force any decisions. Just bought today, 18 Jan 2020, the car I was looking for for a while, RAM 1500. Tom Cantley, sales representative, was polite and patient. I took a drive, loved the car but still had some doubts. Asked a couple day later for another test drive and to take the truck home for overnight. There were no objections or any sign of impatience. The most of what I liked however, there was no a slightest pressure to buy a vehicle typical to most of the dealerships. Overall, if you cannot buy a vehicle directly from an owner, I would recommend to try Ina Motors. They have good prices and choices of vehicles.

I had been scrolling dealership sites for awhile before going into Ina Motors. Walked the lot before being approached by Jamie. Told him what I was looking for, he sent me to check out one while he got keys. Upon opening it up I fell in love. Looked at the others, but came back to the first for a test drive. Loved it. Brandley* and Cole took over to slave over paper work and printing on a Saturday, long weekend for car loaners, I drove it home hours later. Very happy with it a month later. Before they removed the ad I took a screenshot of the specs, so I can check out the car better in my own time. I noticed some google pics uploaded, (they weren’t wrong) but my vehicle doesn’t have a roof rack (it has roof rails), back seat heating (that’s very saddening) nor a cargo cover (that would of been nice too!) So I feel it was a little misrepresented on that part. But it did come with M&S tires for the season.

Not so sure about these guys, if it seems too good to be true it probably is. They offered to put us up at the Grand oacPaci if we came down island. We thought wow what a treat. When we arrived it was pulling teeth to get our refundable deposit back and we are glad we did... The truck we came to look at was shiny on the outside but had some issues mechanically I wasn't aware of and they wouldn't stand behind the work the claimed had been done so we opted not to purchase this vehicle. Greg the salesman was not great at communicating and was rude to my wife and to me. Fast forward a week later and we get an email from the hotel the dealership "put us up in" and they hadn't paid the bill and when I reached out to Greg was told " I am busy ok! I will call when I am not.!! " Super unprofessional to make an offer like that and than raise his voice when we attempted to negotiate pricing to reflect the work that we were told had been done but they offered no proof and wouldn't fix the issue if we had a pre purchase inspection done and it found in fact the work hadn't been done. Waste of our time. Nice trip to Victoria. We out up a 5 star review at Greg's request, and are changing that after the way he handled things with the outstanding hotel bill. The hotel also found him to be snappy and not willing to help.

We went to this dealership to view options for a used vehicle. The staff are helpful. We were able to find a new to us vehicle and the staff negotiated with us until we reached a price that we were all happy with. This company and the staff have incredible integrity. I bought a VW a few months ago and right after I left I noticed that the tire sensor light was on and that the Bluetooth was not working. I took it back to them right away and the tire sensor was fixed promptly. The Bluetooth issue, however, became a 2 month long process. I was frustrated that it wasn’t working but they did everything they could to fix it and eventually were able to find the right people to install a new module and then get it reprogrammed by VW. The point is that there were issues when I drove it off the lot and they could have just said it was my problem, but they didn’t. My biggest fear of buying from a used lot was that there would be a problem and I would be stuck with the repair, but that didn’t happen here. Also Lorenzo was my sales guy and he was great to work with, as well as the sales manager Dan and also met the owner who was very friendly. Would recommend this place to anyone. Don't trust these people, they don't back up their warranty. Bought a 2005 Ford Explorer Sports Trac and shortly after getting it home thermostat casing cracked water flowing out undriveable. Phoned salesman asked about warranty said he'd have to talk to his sales manager and get back to me. Four days went by no word from them. So I phoned back was put on hold and left there until I gave up and hung up All this over a six hundred and change , mechanical bill.

Looked at a car, all was good, was ready to purchase, and suddenly there was an additional $400 documentation fee that wasn't mentioned anywhere - not in the Craigslist advertisement, not in the car cost, nowhere. On a $4000 car, that's an additional $500 after taxes, or +12.5%. That's not insignificant. If you want more money, include it in the price --- don't hide fees until the end. Apparently that's normal for the used car industry...if it is, it's dumb and should be changed.

Went looking for a particular car on a budget, they had what I was after and negotiated to fit the budget, unfortunately it didn't work out, but I'd recommend them. They're not high pressure, allowed me to test drive on my own (no hard sales pitch showing me every feature of the car while I'm driving) and didn't spend hours telling me why everyone else/every alternative car is junk (you know how every car sales man has a binder of competitor recalls?). I definitely do not like giving poor reviews ... but I purchased a Mazda Tribute from Ina Motors. I thought it was a perfect upgrade for my new family. A month later I had my car serviced. After the inspection they informed me all 4 tires needed to be replaced, the drive belt was cracked and the control arms needed to be replaced. An approximate $2000 in further repairs after paying $10,000 for my "new" vehicle. When I approached the staff about these issues they refused to address the engine issues and told me the tires were fine at 4-5/32. The general manager did say he would give me tires if any became available, but it's been over a month and I've heard nothing. I've called ICBC and under BC law anything less then 5/32 needs to be replaced or your insurance can be void. Apparently Ina Motors has no idea on the laws of safety in BC. When approached again about these issues they stated that they had the vehicle inspected by a third party and the engine issues were upcoming maintenance. Why I was not informed of these upcoming issues when I had purchased what I thought was a realible vehicle make me very upset as a consumer. I may have chosen a different vehicle had I known of all of these issues. I find the staff very unhelpful, unprofessional and hope that anyone thinking of buying a vehicle from Ina Motors get it inspected by their own trustworthy mechanic.

After a horrible experience at the Victoria Jeep Dodge Chrysler Dealership ( you can read my story on their review page, haha) I went to Greg Weiss at Ina Motors and was able to get the exact vehicle I wanted. The process was smooth, he was completely honest and was not pushy what so ever. Although I may have been an easy sell because I was extremely into this vehicle, I was still prepared to walk away if I felt there was any sort of dishonestly or if I didn't feel comfortable. I went in to test drive a Nissan and a VW... Dakota was friendly and helpful with both vehicles. He also offered to show me other ones on the lot that he thought might meet my needs. In the end I decided that I preferred a Honda Fit, so I said I was going to keep looking around. When I got home Dakota sent me a text to say that there was a nice Fit at a dealer out of town. I said I would be interested, so he phoned the dealer and negotiated on my behalf to get me the best price, which ended up saving me nearly $1,500! He then drove the vehicle down to Victoria for me so I could pick it up. Nothing bad to say about the team at INA. Licensing, insuring, and financing were all a breeze (if the printer hadn't run out of toner, it would have been a quick process too!) ;-)

These guys provided an inspection report without the VIN that was supposed to be for the car they were selling. It was basically fraud. The car had several problems that were supposed to be fine according to the report. If it was possible, I would give them zero stars. Avoid this dealer !!

Unfortunate experience. Will not be back. Spent over an hour here doing a test drive. When we first arrived after driving in from Sidney the truck was not ready to drive and they did not even have the keys despite having a confirmed appointment. After waiting for almost 20 minutes I was finally able to drive the truck which itself was nice but the check engine light was on. My fiancé was waiting in the car for them to do a trade appraisal while I was out on a drive and no one even spoke to her or acknowledged she was there and part of the deal. I returned to have to wait again for the trade appraisal before being offered 1/3 of what other dealers have offered for our vehicle. No negotiation and was basically told if I didn’t like the trade value then I could leave, no counter offer? No middle ground? Unbelievable. Save yourself some time and shop elsewhere.

We bought a Silverado 2016 four months ago. I noticed a stain in the interior where the light fitting is at the rear. I requested the stain be washed and the leak repaired before I purchase the truck. This morning after 3 days of heavy rain I noticed a leak and the interior roof soaking wet. Obviously, it had NOT been repaired. We called the dealership and they flatly refused to do anything about it, when in fact it was part of the purchase agreement after the test drive, that the problem had to be fixed. It wasn’t. Therefore I can fairly say that I was lied to with regards to the repairs. Leaves me wondering what else was I lied to about…? For $30000, I should be able to expect my new to me Silverado 2016 be water tight at the very least. Especially after noticing, pointing out and asking for the repairs to be done before finalizing the purchase, for cash, no financing. It hadn’t rained all summer, so there was no way for me to know about it until today after three days downpour. So just like that, INA Motors from Victoria BC just slid down ranks in my books, to sleazy used car salesman status.

I went to look for a new truck for myself. Upon arrival we were promptly greeted by Dayton who was very friendly and helpful when we explained what I wanted. I found a truck with exactly what I wanted. And while I was going over the vehicle my wife showed interest in a car she liked. We ended up buying both vehicles and were very happy with our purchases. They made sure the vehicles were in top top condition and replaced things I didn't expect them to. These guys really stand by their products and have been nothing but wonderful to work with. I’ve been driving for 29 years, since I turned 16. My first car was a blue 1986 VW Golf Diesel, and my newest car is a blue 2013 VW Passat TDI. A gorgeous, mint-condition machine built for the Autobahn – or, the Malahat – I picked up this beauty from Ida Motors a few days ago. Jamie K. was the consummate professional with whom I dealt 90% of the time, from when I stepped onto the lot on a Wednesday afternoon until the moment I left (with my new VW) on a Friday evening. He was relaxed, easy-going, good-humored, and genuine throughout all of our communications and interactions. He promptly answered my numerous naïve questions about this and that, and was patient in handling my rather hurried manner of doing business.Finally, he was flexible in responding to my maddeningly ever-changing availability. Jamie was there from start to finish, but he also transferred the necessary portions of the transactions over to his competent and professional colleagues, who took care of the sale and ownership paperwork. I found it enjoyable to watch a supportive team in action, helping each other out and with no hint of the hyper-competitiveness that often pervades this, and other industries. Ida Motors has a great team. Suffice to say, my experience with Jamie and his colleagues was an all-around positive and productive experience. I cannot recommend Jamie, and his team, enough.

Sad they closed the Nanaimo location, as the staff there were honest and approachable. Can't say the same for the Victoria location or staff... the staff there have perfected the stereotype of bad and untrustworthy used car salesmen. Very aggressive and disrespectful. After one bad experience , I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but after my second experience they only proved how dishonest they are... flat out lying and hiding the truth, even after it was pointed out to them.

In a nut shell We arrived from the UK 2 weeks ago and been slowly searching for vehicles for the 2 of us, walked away from all but 1 car dealers for having our chops busted these guys don't do that and are very helpful not just with the car sales side but where to hike, swim,kayak ect ect with that they made not 1 but 2 car sales within a hr. Highly recommend ina motors.. Jamie & another guy (sorry cant remember name) was great to work with and again in turn will have us coming back.(cant wait to go back in 6 months to trade up to the "bosses truck" lol).
