I had a completely terrible experience with purchasing a brand new vehicle with SMP Saskatoon dealership. I bought the car in January, and being that it was the middle of winter and I live over 6 hours away, I paid an additional $600 to have it shipped. Once they received payment(CASH, not financed.) Any form of customer service disappeared. I was told one day shipping, and it took three weeks! for my vehicle to arrive. I understand that when using a third party shipping company, that sometimes things are out of others control. However, this is the shipping company the dealership chooses to deal with. I did not even have the option to set up alternate shipping with a company of my choosing.I was told I would be provided with a tracking number, this did not happen. I had arranged for a certain dealership here in the city for the car to be delivered to. Again, this did not happen. They shipped it to a different dealership.
The problems just kept on from there... Once the vehicle arrived, there was scratches underneath the front middle skirt. I was told the car was sold as is!!! Since when is a BRAND NEW, not USED vehicle sold AS IS?! completely disgusted by the lack of costumer service and support from GM. I will definitely not be recommending this dealership to purchase vehicles from, as well as I will be very hesitant to purchase a GM vehicle in the future. Very unfortunate as my wife's family all own GM vehicles.
lastly, when checking my spec sheet, I had noticed that there was a $500 engine cover option that was to be in my car. Guess what?! upon checking with my local dealership, what do we find? you guessed it, the $60 STOCK cover. Another phone call was made to SMP, and they did ship the $500 cover to me. Very shady SMP! Salesman was Dan.
