I love this Peavey Mart, and was excited to bring my guy here to check it out for the first time. We were there on January 03, 2021 around 4:00 pm. He purchased a 15$ Browning camo dog collar for our dog, and a nice KUHL button up flannel for himself, which was about 95$. We get home and find out that the cashier did not remove the security tag, and he couldn’t find his receipt: so didn’t feel like it was an option to bring in the shirt in case we were accused of stealing, because that happens often for Indigenous people. Been happening my whole life in this town, being watched extra closely while shopping more so than other shoppers. Anyways, he managed to get the tag off but damaged the shirt in the process. Just very disappointed in the experience; that cashiers can’t take the time to properly ensure that all security tags are removed once an item is purchased. The security tag didn’t even work, so not sure why they would even put it on an item. Anyway just needed to get our bad experience off my chest.

Store offers a different type of stock from lawnmowers to horse liniment interesting and fun to shop in. Store is well lit and spacious. Prices are reasonable. It's worth the visit.

Good little spot for most stuff. The staff seems to be a little slow with most things. Customer service is sub par unless you deal with one of the two staff that care. The woman at the cash seemed to have the most difficult time i have ever seen displayed working the cash register. It really was quite sad. I had an order sitting at the fron cash that was called in prior to my arrival. I walked in and asked for it.....with the package in plain sight and the casheir literally had no idea what i was talking about.

PV mart is a great place for all the tools, arm equipment, and other stuff to get that you can't find in normal stores. they also have a great toy selection a farm toys including tractors trucks and others. I highly recommend checking out PV Mart if you haven't been there

I began shopping here periodically because they have an EV charger to the left of the entrance. So first off, the charger puts out excellent power, getting my Tesla Model 3 about 60-70km of range per hour of charge. I don't usually NEED to charge here, I just do because I want to show support for Peavey Mart. Secondly, this shop is way more fun than I expected. The selection of toys for kids (and big kids) is remarkable, and well-organized. The staff is super helpful, and the prices are excellent. You should definitely shop here, especially if you're an EV driver. Note that I don't usually _need_ to charge here, I just do to show support for the store - and I buy plenty of stuff there to show that support.

The garden department was pretty much cleared out unfortunately but they did have the tomato cages we needed. To get one we did have to spend nearly 10 minutes trying to separate it from the stack because they'd been compressed together so much they wouldn't budge and many were broken. We did manage to get what we needed so 4 stars for having things but one star down for zero assistance available.

Sometimes I'll go in on Friday morning and stay in there till it's closed they lock me up there till Saturday morning. I don't even notice. Once my wife filed a missing persons report. Management is absolutely horrendous, extremely rude over the phone, didn’t catch her name. Most employees have no clue what’s going on, and the store is messy and confusing with their prices. Someone needs to hire new managers that actually help the store and staff. (A lot of the employees are young so reason to believe it’s the managers fault too).

Much Like some of the reviews below I ordered a trailer hitch 3 weeks ago. Was told it would take 5-7 business days. When I called the woman on the other phone was extremely rude saying it was not her problem it was “head office” blah blah. I don’t care if the order will take longer but have the decency to tell your clients who already paid for the product there would be a delay. I strongly suggest staying clear of this location and brining your business elsewhere. I’ve canceled my order and won’t be giving them my business again.

Online inventory never seems to match what’s actually in store. Constant inventory problems when you ask staff to find things- “well it says we have 8 in stock but we can’t find them” Also be careful when online ordering. Staff never asks for ID or checks credit card info at the counter.

Terrible went to buy item listed by a flyer that was distributed to everyone in Rockland got to the store when they opened 9:00 am spoke to staff asked where the item was and was told to go look at the back in the outside section and I found nothing approached the Manager and she went to check on the computer and she told me they had none and that the shipment never arrived and not sure if they will get any so why advertise this sale a waste of time.

I ordered chickens from them and I called a week before because they were supposed to contact me to let me know if my order would be filled they told me they would know in a day on the phone and they would call me back surprise surprise they never did call me back so I called them again and they told me the day after and again no call back so the day before I'm supposed to pick up my chickens I go in the store and the young woman at the desk seem to have no clue what I was talking about and told me I would only know the day the chicks arrived if my order will be filled but that was not what I was told prior and they told me to come in the morning because they could not hold the chickens there so I take the day off work to be able to pick up my chickens Drive 40 minutes come in early and then they tell me that my order won't be there till noon The chickens were fine when they finally did come in but I was annoyed that I had never received a call back and that they were so misinformed and there was no communication between employees because if they can't hold them there and they come during the weekday you obviously have to know ahead of time to book the day off work so I took a risk taking the day off The staff is friendly but seems very inexperienced in this particular TSC

First time at TSC Rockland and my first impression was not fantastic. When walking in, the store seemed very cluttered, even in the entrance where you walk in. I was only coming to pickup an online order so I went straight to the cash. After showing proof of payment, I gave them a few minutes to find my item in the back. In that time, I saw one older gentleman ask for help in finding propane for his torch. The employee kept saying " should be in aisle (x)" , " if it's not there, we don't have it". The older gentleman kept insisting and the employee got very short with him to the point where the customer approached me (a customer), for advice on another type of torch fuel. We located the empty shelf and I advised him to visit the Canadian Tire across the street, which he did. He left his basket full of stuff at the cash on the way out. As I proceeded to pickup my online order, another customer stormed out in frustration from the lack of help from the cash (tossing his plumbing parts on the desk on his way out to CT). Simply put, better customer service training and more staff needed to ever make me go back.

This is the second time I went in there to purchase items, and although the items are available, you have to wait for someone to unlock the compound to let you get them. It was too hot to stand outside, and when I asked the cashier when they were coming she said "Whenever they come". I went to my vehicle and waited 5 full minutes in the sweltering heat for someone to come unlock the compound. Nobody came so I went to Canadian Tire. The sales lady was friendly, and the product was available for purchase immediately, and was a few dollars cheaper as well. It's hard to shop local and support small business, when you're given service like I recieved at Peavy Mart. I don't own livestock or wear camouflage clothing, so I have absolutely no reason to ever go back.

Excellent store. Very similar to Big R chain in US Northwest, you will find hardware, clothing, animal supplies, tools, BBQ/smoker supplies and more. During the holiday season you'll also find kids toys. Prices are average, but there is always sale items. This store is one of the smaller Peavey Mart stores I've seen, so perhaps it's time for a larger store in a better location, or maybe a second location in Medicine Hat. Either way, it's one of my faves.

What a joke of a store....went in to buy some Pro Plan dog food on sale....none in stock, as usual, was givendors a rain check..was told to return the following week...returned the following week and AGAIN the same story.....none in stock....was told they would do a store transfer to rerun the following week.....I did, and they ordered the small bags, and was told they don't sell the bigger bags....but they do, both there before.....then, to make it worst, cashier laughs and said that's usualy the way it is.....no impressed, will never go back again....not the first time e this has happened but it is the last......messy store, nothing in stock.....going to source things elsewhere. .......what a joke of a store.

Cool place, lots more than you'd expect. As well as a variety of items you'd not expect to see there. Along with items you can only find there. The staff was friendly, very friendly. Couldn't go 2 mins without one of them asking if I was finding everything okay. And everytime I picked up something to look at and decide if I wanted to purchase it, someone would come up and insist they take it to the till for me. Talk about rushing the customer. I finally got annoyed and started picking up the most awkward and heavy items they had and said yes to every request to take it to the till. When I went to pay for the items I had decided to purchase I told them I didn't really have time to make a proper decision on the large items in a disarray by the counter and needed more time to think about it. Next time I hope they will let a man shop in peace.

Very bad experience on Father’s Day. I frequently travel out from Ottawa to shop at TSC, one of my favourite vendors. No more. One staff member had never heard of “union suits”, one-piece pyjamas, which I purchase for my adult son, and typically from the TSC chain. The other, on cash at about Noon or so, dismissed my enquires about prices (so many items lacked a price ticket) and told me to find out the cost at the cash! She was neutral and not rude per se, but uninterested in what I describe as customer service. The store was like a warehouse, a mess, not in keeping with my experiences at other locations, like Kemptville and Smiths Falls. Pity.

I went to pick up an e-commerce order today. Only the young lady at the cash was of any help. When she asked another of the staff to get the order his answer was that he was busy and walked away. So the cashier did all the work. "It's inventory time." That was the explanation offered. Employees everywhere but only one does all the work. Won't be returning.

Friday evening, 1 poor soul handling the whole store. No one else on the floor for Customer assistance that actually wanted to help. Cashier gentleman handled all that he could and did not get frazzled. His colleagues were useless. Having said that, this store is huge. I have gone twice in the last few days to get a garage shelter on sale and could not get any help whatsoever. I asked a young lady for assistance and she told me they were in the back yard and to go help myself. I had trouble finding them and when I finally did, they were all stacked with no prices or description and not accessible. The same young lady went to the back yard so I stoped her as she walked by me to ask a question. “Was the garage tent I was interested in still on sale?and if yes, where can I find it and how could I get to it as there were piles of things that enabled me to go to the shelf where all the tents were. She told me to look at the ones I like and go to the front store and let them know and they could tell me how much they are. Really? I couldn’t get close to them! I then asked her another question, and when I did not get a reaponse, I turned around and she was gone! Anyway, I think that TSC Rockland is a great store but incredibly disorganized and the staff is nowhere to be found. Very short staffed. After walking around the store for approx. 10 minutes to get help, I ended up leaving empty handed and contacting CT. They had the same garage tent in stock that I wanted and they price matched it also. (I found TSC’s price online) All I wanted was some assistance and finally got it elsewhere. Store has lots of great potential but the service and organization is terrible. Unfortunately I gave it a one star! :( Not sure I will be going back.

Order placed 10 days ago online. When I called to ask a question about it the employee was rude and interrupted me before I could finish asking my question. When I ordered the product it said 3-5 days. For new orders it now says 7-10 online. I realize COVID has had a big impact and that the order goes through head office first. I even emailed head office to ask about the delay and get no response. Don’t order from this company if you need anything quick.

For a smaller center this is a nice well laid out and well stocked Peavy Mart. Happened to wander in during a store wide 15% off sale which never really saved me anything. There was plenty of product an the shelves and I am doubtful they were going to run out during the weekend which is nice.

Unique store has a little bit of everything. They have a great selection of dog toys. If BBQ is your thing this is the place to go. They have all the accessories you will need. There is a lot of stuff for smokers as well. Lots of pellets and real wood for custom smokers. They have all the stuff you will need to make jerky too.They also have a unique selection of grow lights there. Lots of different varieties and bulbs that cant be found else where. Outside of that they have a lot of stuff for farmers and other animal products. Cool store to visit you'll be surprised what you find there.

This store isn't bad but due to the inventory issues it does lacks in the convenience department and the management could always use a bit of work. What i really enjoy about this store is the variety of product that is difficult to find anywhere else and the ability to order select products from their website. What I find strange is the amount of abuse the cashiers and sometimes management have had to deal with while I was shopping, because I shop at tsc often, i am astounded at the resolve of these people; yes they sometimes snap back, but what did you expect coming to tsc with a sour attitude and blaming your problems on the person in front of you. Despite the lack of control cashiers have on your bank account, choice of not calling before coming in, your lack of appropriate question/knowledge, transaction they did not process, etc, people seem to think that it's ok to yell at them and harass them because you have little to no control over your emotions. If something is not in stock then you were either too late to the party or the stock didn't get in yet, neither of these are in the control of the cashier nor the shelf stocking personnel. I have worked at retail most of my life, so when I post a review saying that most people that are not satisfied with the "customer service" it's usually "I am mad because i didn't get what I want, so i will act out like a child to get what i want" orrrr "I don't like how this person treated me while i was yelling in their face about something they can't control, so i am going to make a nasty review online and get my friends to help with my petty revenge" it's got more than a grain of truth behind it... Regardless this is a pathetic and grotesque mentality to have towards cashiers or any other retail worker. All in all, i like the amount of camo stuff this place sells. The customer service depends on the day and how many workers there are. I wish their Milwaukee selection was bigger and their floors need a fix, there are chips and gouges in the floors and it makes it look bad D:

I purchased a wheelbarrow just before the Covid19 lockdown. The finished product was not strong enough for the purpose I needed it for so I brought it back to the store. Here is where it gets interesting. The clerk kindly told me that due to the lockdown no returns were taken until May 20, 2021. I completely understood that with respect. I asked them the price of a more expensive one and they brought their manager to acknowledge the price and he tells me that he can only take my return if I was to buy another one of equal value or more. They can't take my return because of Covid19 but will gladly take it back if I buy something more expensive????? I'm still trying to make sense of this. I will be knocking on their door on May 20th, get my money back and will never go back there until they start making sense.

Only let 5 people in at a time and have a max of 10 mins??? For the size of the store the minimum is at least 50 people.. very rude at the door and said only one person at a time, sure no problem! Went inside and they told my partner to wait outside until someone leaves then he can go. Didn’t end up letting him in at all cause we were standing together originally... why does that matter? We were more then happy to go in separately? Ridiculous.

Peavey Mart has always been my go to place for every project I've tackled. Since the renos, the prices have gone up significantly. This will explain falling short of 5 stars. Staff were great today as always. Today Jack helped me build a seive to clean potting soil in a greenhouse. If you have an unusual project, Jack or Gary can help you out.

I have 2 rain checks from this store. Both items were from their sale flyer and I went in the first day to find out they didn't have it. One is already over 2 mths. old and they say to just continue to stop in or call to see when they get the item. They do not phone you when the items come in. How is that customer service?? They don't seem to care if they fill their rain checks or not.
