I find that there is a significant difference between what I'm told the cost is of service, and what I actually pay. Even when no extra work was done. I also find that the customer service is very hit and miss. To elaborate, my family has generations of business with Ford, and so does my husbands, and after losing our keys in a house fire inn Christmas Eve, they offered little help in the matter. I waited a week for a set of keys that cost $680 while having nothing else to drive.

I took my car in because my check engine light was on and my car was telling me it was over heating from cold start. I figured it was my coolant sensor that was acting up. Took it in and got it “diagnosed” my Curtis. They told me it was just the sensor as I suspected without checking the coolant. They charged me 200$ for the part and the diagnosis and I took the car home without them putting the sensor in because I could do it myself. I ended up getting stranded on the side of the road in -35 weather. Turns out my coolant was frozen. I checked it with a 3$ tool and it was only good for -10. They mechanic at melody failed to check my coolant and almost cost me my whole engine. When I went to put the sensor in I checked the coolant myself and turns out that is what my real problem was, not my sensor. The sensor was reading off because of air pockets in it. Since I did a coolant flush I haven’t had any further issues with my car. I called the manager and he said that they would only refund me for the part and nothing else. I wouldn’t recommend taking your vehicle here as these people almost cost me my whole engine. I believe that people look at me as a blonde woman and they take advantage of this. Take your expensive vehicles somewhere else.

We recently took in a vehicle to Melody to check for problems and assess whether it was roadworthy for a trip from Kimberley to Vancouver Island and back. The vehicle was deemed okay. But on its way back, it broke down, and it had to be towed from Oliver. That’s a long way. We towed it ourselves from Rossland, a 12 hour adventure, and most people would not have had the resources to tow the vehicle themselves. When we took the vehicle back in to Melody, they did not charge us to have another look at it, and confirm what exactly was happening. We did appreciate that, although we didn’t leave it there for repairs. They do their best to provide good service for you.

The service that was needed for the parts to be put on was fine. On the other hand what is frustrating is that since we have owned the Expedition it has never been just washed as a courtesy. Where as we have a friend who bought an Expedition like ours cause she liked ours so much, brings her's in and it always gets washed for her and at no point does she have to ask. We had even talked to the service manager last time we where in about this, and again it was not done this last time it was in. We have spent a lot of money on vehicles and parts since 2011 and have had good service, but these little things like washing a customers vehicle would be nice. Especially when you hear other people's being done when ever they come in for service. We also have had the vehicle in for our brakes squealing a number of times and were told at one of the visits to go wash our wheels out at our expence and then come back so they could have a better look. Not impressed. Little things like this that add up are enough to drive customers away and go shop else where.

The woman behind the desk wasn't the friendliest and never showed me anything about the vehicle I was borrowing. I have had better service in past from them. When I brought their rental vehicle back, the gentlemen were very nice. Normally they have pretty good service. And...i don't drive a Ford product but the new explorer they gave me as a rental was awesome.

I came in for a service and warranty work on the brakes on my truck. Being from out of town (Calgary,AB) I expected to have to wait a couple days tp get in but was pleasantly suprised when they got me in the very next morning. During the service I was kept aware of what was found by the technician and the warranty work was completed earlier than expected. I can ohnestly say it was one of the best experiences Ive had with a Ford dealer anywhere and would reccomend Melody for their customer service.

I absolutely loved dealing with the sales department there but any time I’ve took my vehicle there for repairs it’s been a nightmare! This last time we took my car in at 10 and we are from out of town so we walked down to Tim’s. They told us it would be half and hour to an hour and they would call when it’s done. At 11:30 we called to see if it was done and they told us it was in the shop with the hood still up so it wouldn’t be much longer. We had our baby with us so we figured we would start walking back. We got there and the car was outside so I asked if it was done. A different worker said no we haven’t had a chance to take it into the shop yet. So the other worker straight up lied to us. They never had my vehicle done until 1:30 and as sad as it is that is the best experience we have had with them yet.

Their technicians didn't notice my rear differential was rattling till the warrenty ended. The service manager then applied for after warrenty repair but failed to deliver. I then took my truck which I purchased frim melody to a different Ford dealer which they did end up getting me warrenty. I will try avoid going here again.

My 2004 Ford Ranger brake lights suddenly began to come on by themselves. This drained the battery, so I needed a boost to start it. Inconvenient, to say the least. I took it to Melody Motors and they spent time trying various solutions. When I got it home, the brake lights came on by themselves again. I phoned Steve, service manager, and he said that the mechanic, Simon, who worked on it has a theory that the device that links the clutch and brake pedal was the cause. On a second session at Melody Simon fixed the problem. Steve gave me a 20% discount on labour, which was significant. I'd recommend Melody to anybody. Excellent service! Jim Duncan

I was not impressed with my most recent visit. My truck was in for warranty work and I had asked for an oil change as well. I called on the day the truck was to be ready and someone had forgotten about the oil change. However it did get done prior to picking the vehicle up. On filling out the paperwork I was told the light by the license plate was not working. I asked for it to be replaced so the truck had to go back in to the shop. Why this wasn't done whilst it was in the shop seems a little odd. The paperwork took far to long to complete as the person attending to me had to also answer the phone which in the service department. I did also take my other vehicle in for an oil change and the boys in the lube Bay had it done in very quick and efficient manner.

I had an awesome experience servicing my Lincoln MKS. I called same day as I was passing through and they were able to accommodate me. I was not sure the issue could have been resolved however from the moment I stepped in "Jeremy" made sure my concerns were addressed and my doubt put to rest. He made checks on the status of my vehicle and when the phone line to the service area was busy he walked over there to get an update. Talk about service. The lounge area is very relaxing as it comes with a full body massaging chair, (No, you don't need to get undressed). My issue was resolved in a timely manner with time to spare for my trip. I don't always have great experience at "Service" department as they often made you feel like you are a number and not a customer. That was not the case. Thank you Jeremy

I recently purchased my F-150 from Melody Motors. Andy Britner our salesman was exceptional to deal with. Tammy in finance looked after us very well and she was also very knowledgeable about the product. We have owned Dodge pickups for over 20 years, and we are thrilled that we went with a Ford this time. We recently had some warranty work looked after on my pick up and we have never had a dealer look after us so well, they delivered us a courtesy vehicle to Invermere and took my truck to Kimberly to repair it. We were also treated to the best fish and chips meal we have ever ate at Britner's Fish and Chips in Kimberly. The staff are fantastic, if you looking for a new vehicle, you must check our Melody Motors. R&B

My sales experience was great . The issue is the sirius radio has been faulty since day one(been over a month now). Service checked it out and said it was fine. Told me that if it happens again to video and text it to him. Did that two weeks ago and only got a short text back saying" thats not right." Have since sent another video text but heard nothing back. So much for my free 6 months of sirius radio, cant even listen to it. Starting to get alittle concerned with the customer service.

While this review was my first impression of Melody motors, Kevin an owner with the dealership contacted me and was very apologetic for my experience.We had a good conversation about what had happened and he offered to make things right, so in the end despite my initial anger I ended up being satisfied with how it was dealt with. Worst Ford dealership I have had the misfortune of dealing with. I received a recall on my truck phoned and made an appointment asked the person on the phone to call me if the necessary part did not come in since I have to make an hour drive to get there, was assured that they would. Today I make the drive only to be told the part is not there, a 2 hour round trip and half a tank of gas because of the incompetence of the staff at this dealership. If they cant be trusted to make a phone call can they be trusted to service your vehicle?

My wife brought her vehicle in for an oil change and to have her summer wheels installed. The oil change went flawless as expected but the wheel change over did not. The person who installed the wheels did not wash out the dried mud on the inside of the rims which caused excessive vibrations. Pretty basic stuff to ensure the rims are clean before installing on a vehicle, not sure why this was not done. Melody has always had exceptional service department, hopefully an isolated incident.

This was my first visit to Melody motors but it will not be my last. Fantastic people from the service manager to the parts manager all the way to the receptionist and even the gentleman doing cleanup who helped me get wifi i didn't ask him. He saw i was having trouble and just came over to help. Of you're looking for a place you can trust this it work came out cheaper than the quoted me and it was finished before it was due. Took truck to have oil change and maintenance done when they were done had looked at the checklist and everything was checked when we went to the truck they had checked they had rotated tires and only they had NOT rotated tires prolbem was brought to their attention and the issue was solved now I look at the checklist and wonder if they really did this if there is another ford bought I will not be purchasing a maintenance package.For as expensive this service is I expect better service!
