I brought my vehicle in as it wouldnt start. After a quick diagnisis at the end of day I was told I would need a new starter (a $450 job). The following day they noticed some wires had corroded and the starter was fine, reducing the price to $135. Cranbrook Auto Repair has been a very honest mechanic throughout this transaction. It would have been very easy to tell me I needed a new starter and charge me accordingly. Certainly the mechanic I will be using in the future.

They determined most of it didn’t need to be done, and what the dealership had diagnosed was incorrect. Took care of everything for about 10% of what the dealership quoted me. The techs here really know their stuff, and they have a huge range of experience in both domestic and import vehicles. The front office staff are also mechanics so they actually really know what is going on when providing advise on what to fix now and what can wake. They are the most popular / best mechanics in town so sometimes it might take a few days to get an appointment. Love this shop.

Honest with integrity, they made a small mistake of leaving a PCV pipe capped which caused a oil film on the engine cover's. They cleaned the entire area under the hood, had the interior of the car detailed. These folks went above and beyond any other service center i have gone to.

I had an urgent situation when the engine and emission lights were coming up on my dash. I was leaving to drive to Calgary that morning. I drive a Volkswagen and the dealership in town was rude and told me I would have to leave my vehicle there for 4 weeks until they could check it and told me to rent a car?? I was referred by Mike at Denham Ford my friend had called him and he sent me over to Cranbrook Auto Repair, Mike even called Ryan and told him I would be going there. Ryan did the diagnostic as soon as I pulled in and did the scan he then ordered the parts right away and got me back on the road within 2 hours. He was professional and very fair sand the price was much less than I had expected and he didn't even charge me for a full hour of labor. I would recommend this repair facility to anyone and everyone looking for a professional, fair and honest repair shop. I would strongly recommend that all Volkswagen owners go to this shop instead of the dealership in town which is rude, unhelpful and unprofessional. Thanks Ryan I will be referring you to everyone I know in town! You have a new client in me, thanks again for the great experience.

I’m originally from the area, but live out of town now, and when my car was making a clunking sound on the way back home I took it in to see what the issue was. They were short a technician and booked up but looked at my car, found it was some loose parts so tightened them up and sent me on my way.
