Alpine Toyota delivers. It’s April 2019. With The salesperson’s expert help, we order a 2019 RAV4 then change our minds when the RAV4 Hybrid comes out. The new hybrid is stone cold killer. It is nearly $3k cheaper than last year. Gas prices are skyrocketing so why not get all wheel drive, 51 mpg, and seriously wicked styling? So we pop down and chat with the Sales Manager. The General Manager, Brady, overhears us, clicks like a Marvel hero on the pc, and then offers a fresh-built-baby from the factory in Cambridge Ont. with delivery in ten days. Within a week, their finance wrangler Brad sets up a meeting for the paperwork. Yesterday morning, The sales person parks a new 2019 RAV4 Hybrid LE in our driveway! This is what you get when you go local. Helen and the three B’s--Brady, Brent, and Brad--they deliver and then some. I don’t know about you, but we just took delivery on the best vehicle buying experience in thirty years.

I recently had an issue with my Toyota vehicle and as a result Alpine Toyota in Cranbrook, BC tried to make a larger problem with my vehicle than was necessary. This is not the first time this dealership has displayed dishonesty towards its customers and I would like to have it documented that they are trying to recommend repairs that are far more extensive than is needed for vehicle repairs. I had an issue with the rear driver side wheel locking up on my 2015 Toyota Tacoma. After a call with Toyota Canada customer service, I found that Brake Systems are covered under my ECP and used Toyota’s Roadside Assistance to get my truck towed to Alpine Toyota. After directing the service department to call me and not perform any work until I make sure it was covered, I received a call from Alpine Toyota saying that the brake shoe hold down spring came off and damaged the brake drum and brake shoes. Their report was that both rear brakes needed to be replaced and that hold down spring caused “extensive damage to the brake drum”. They replaced the hold down spring in order to move the vehicle and said that the work would not be covered by my ECP and quoted the price of $506 plus taxes for the work to be done. I instructed them to do no work and that I would take my vehicle elsewhere for repair. I took my vehicle to OK Tire in Cranbrook to have them look at the damage and find out what repairs were needed and I was informed that there were no issues with my brakes at all and that no repair was needed. They noted that there was a very small groove in the brake drum where the spring was, but the brake drum was still smooth and this was documented in written notes and photographs that the brakes were safe to continue driving on. My concern comes from the lack of integrity that Alpine Toyota has shown for a second time to me as a Toyota customer. This dishonesty leaves the appearance that Alpine Toyota does not value their customers loyalty to the brand and it appears that they do not believe in customer service or customer retention. The goal of this dealership seems to only be how much money they can get out of their customers before the customer leaves to go somewhere else. If I had not been aware of this behaviour from a previous experience with Alpine Toyota, I would’ve needlessly spent $500+ when it wasn’t necessary. As it has been some time since my first incident with Alpine Toyota, I went in with the expectation that things might have changed and that I could reconsider my initial evaluation on how this dealership operates, but I found that my initial assessment still remains correct. This could’ve been an opportunity for this dealership to earn back a customer, but instead they have proven that nothing has changed and their goal is money over customer satisfaction. I will remain loyal to the Toyota brand because I believe that Toyota produces quality vehicles, but I will not be taking my business to Alpine Toyota.

Toyota has once again proved to offer the best service to its customers! During the Christmas holidays while visiting our son and daughter in Fernie, BC in 2018, our 2013 Tacoma developed a rare problem with the main seal, resulting in a serious oil leak. We contacted Alpine Toyota in Cranbrook an hour’s drive away. They immediately booked us for a repair on their first morning of reopening after the Christmas break. We arrived at 0800 and they had us on the road home to Vancouver Island by 1130. The repair was covered by our extended warranty plan. We were totally impressed with the impeccable service given to us, especially by Rob Warner, the Service Manager. The whole event made me proud to be a Toyota owner!

My day today at alpine Toyota in Cranbrook BC couldn't nt have gone any better . I was greeted on the floor by Ryan Wilhelm ,who in the most personable way took the time to hear me out and also ask about my interests to get an idea of the best suited truck for me . There were four deadly trucks to choose from all different km , year , and package deals and without hesitation ryan made it way too inviting not to take out the 2013 Tacoma that was in my price range and exactly what I was looking for . We did an extra long trip and got to let it rip a bit to make sure it's what I was looking for it never skipped a beat . I ended up returning to the shop where the deal went down and ryan and all the staff at alpine Toyota from the financing to the front desk and also the sales manager were welcoming and also just really good people . The transaction was seamless and the whole floor staff stayed after hours till just after 7 pm to finalize and also ensure the new truck was meticulously cleaned and ready and that I had a ride to the insurance to be able to drive home tonight . I got an awesome deal on my trade in and also had the best shop care the day prior pointing out all the issues with my 93 Toyota pickup . After inspection and meeting a few staff I new I would be back the next day to scrap the old and drive away with the new and I couldn't have done it without ryan and also all the staff from alpine Toyota . I can't speak highly enough about them :) absolutely pumped would be an understatement . Nothing but gratitude for ryan and the fam . We needed a superb truck in a short time. Seeing a good prospect online, we phoned Alpine Toyota and spoke with Melissa Davis. We live in a remote area and Melissa made it easy to purchase, license, and insure our Tacoma so we could return home the same day. She even brought water for Wiley the wolfdog and Scout the rescue rascal. Wiley fell in love with Melissa and kept licking her face. Now dogs are generally good judges of character, but wolfdogs are even more discerning, and I agree with Wiley's assessment of Melissa's character. This lady really cares and she's spectacular at her job. The Alpine Toyota team (who we've dealt with before) and Melissa Davis get five stars because there's not an option to give them ten!

I recently purchased a 2021 Toyota Tacoma through Melissa (the best salesperson I've ever come across in my life) via internet, text and phone calls. I was able to get the add on equipment with ease. I had never driven one before hand and when I arrived from Vernon the first thing Melissa did was take me on a good half hour test drive on varying road types to get a feel for the handling. Then she spent a tremendous amount of time with me going over all the buttons. She had my phone synced in a few seconds and had my favorite sirius radio channel working in a heart beat. Basically had me set up to go on my 8 hour drive home. I have never in my life felt so spoiled and been treated like I was the only person alive. I was just astounded at the over the top treatment. Everything was done with so much fun and energy I couldn't believe it. She even sent me an energetic 15 - 20 minute video a week before when my truck arrived. It was so refreshing. And her follow up has been awesome as well. The rock sliders I ordered were substantially backordered so they actually shipped them to me and I was able to get them installed last night. I was surprised what they looked like as I hadn't seen any pictures of them but I sure love them. My truck sure looks good.

We’ll I’ve had my 2017 3 rd gen almost a full year now and got to test it out on Canada’s great highways this summer. Glad I had a good truck, mine is an inferno long box sport loaded and comes with Toyo tires rated for highway use. I bought a tent for the box and really enjoyed the trip. Never saw another one like mine the whole trip, over 9000 km. Every one loves the colour and it looks custom sort of. This truck can take a beating the roads are not too good, actually they really suck. The algoma district hosts the worst roads in Canada, no problems. I’d buy it all over again and yesterday it got a Toy Tech Boss 3” lift kit. Now I’m in love all over again, the truck almost drives itself and less sway. The steering is very predictable and point and shoot. The ride is surprisingly close to the stock setup and in my opinion a great improvement for off road. I’m 66 and feel like a kid again, my first truck was a 1974 baby blue Toyota Kilux but it was very plain compared with my new one and it was only $3500. rght off of the show room floor. I’ve changed the grill for the pro and am in the confusing world of rims and tires, who knew that it would be so hard to pick a rim, so much stress LOL. GO GET ONE ! And make sure that you get it from this dealer, they all go out of there way too please and the service is great. I always feel like I’m special by the way I’m treated, thank you very much to all of you at Alpine Tayota in Cranbrook BC they are number one in my phone directory and my go to dealership.
