Good dealership. I can easily recommend them. Why did I not give 5 stars then? I only gave 4 stars because this dealership, like almost all dealerships I have dealt with, still follows, (At least mostly), the keep you there and wear you down tactics to wring out more money in the finance office at the end. May not seem fair to withhold the last star for something almost all dealerships do... I will continue to push for more transparency, honesty and brevity in dealership experience. Having said all that though- Good dealership :-)

I lost my electronic $400 car key in Courtenay, Vancouver Island. I live in Vancouver. I went to the Old Island Highway Courtenay BC Hyundai dealership. Not one dealership on the island could make me a new key! I visited and talked to Chris Schneider-Service Manager at the dealership. He called every dealership on the island who could not create a new key. He advised me to get my spare key shipped from Vancouver. He drove me to the Walmart parking lot and helped me look for my lost keys. He also drove me to my sister’s place as I had to wait for UPS with my keys to arrive. Chris was sooooo nice to me and even sent a driver to get me the next day and pick up my keys. He dealt with UPS and even offered to wash my car and all for no charge. I am a Hyundai buyer and he was super attentive and kind. I have never been treated so fairly and kindly at any place of business. Amazing work and thank you Chris for all that you did for me. I’m home now and my spare key does the job. You made my horrible situation so much more bearable!!!!!❤️❤️❤️☺️ I’ll never forget your kindness. ????

Its a car dealership, if you are looking for a good price and a new or used car, have a look at their inventory, I have since met the new owner and when a mistake was made by one of their employees selling me a part that I didn't ask for I was graciously creditted back the extra dollars. I couldn't return the item but was more than happy to receive the credit that I have used towards parts, service work among other things. So yes, the new owner is great and the staff dynamics puts the customer first. Check them out when or if your looking for a new or used vehicle. I highly recommend them!!!

Brought my genesis coupe in. My brakes make a clunking noise. Very loud and my steering is hard. Called me 3 hrs later to come pick it up. Said there was nothing wrong with the steering and that it goes soft when I accelerate because the front end lifts up. Told me my brakes are fine and nothing wrong with them. Charged me over 100$ and nothing fixed. I called in a couple days later still complaining about both problems. Said to bring it back down but would have to charge again for techs time. Not even gonna bother as they couldn't fix it the first time???? UPDATE...says there gonna follow up. 5 days later and still haven't been contacted. Brought to another mechanic. The brakes are missing a shim to hold them In place. How do the mechanics at hyundai not able to figure that out. I will never be going back to a hyundai dealership???????????????????????????? .....2 months later had fixed elsewhere. These guys are complete idiots. They asked me to bring the car back so they could look at it again so I brought it back. They ripped the weights off my front wheels to make them unbalanced. Then they tried telling me the only way to fix the clunking noise would be new pads and because I have slotted and drilled rotors I'd have to replace them too. Told me over 1000$. This place is a joke . Never will I step foot in this place again.

Avery Cardinal, while new with the company, offered authentic, no pressure service. Whenever he didn’t have an answer to my questions, he would be totally up front about this, but offer to find out—a rare quality in a car salesman. The only reason I don’t give 5 stars is the financing department quoted one set of numbers for payment to me on the phone that made us jump at the chance to own an EV, but once I arrived to do the paperwork, with extended warranty, life and disability plus guard for exterior and upholstery , it was going to be 100 more than quoted. So I opted out of a lot of extras to keep our payments down, but it did sully the experience.

It was my first experience to make a deal and finalize all the steps over the phone. I received a firm quotation, the dealership fulfilled a number of conditions, such as being able to deliver in a narrow time frame, coordinating with an expiring “Scrap-It” programme. All this was accomplished amid Covid restrictions, supply shortages and uncertain delivery schedules. In the end everything came together without surprises and all conditions were met on time, thanks to some hard work on the dealerships side. The dealership did what it said it was going to do. Sold a young female acquaintance of mine a car with questionable brakes which were totally shot within months (and less than 2000km) of her buying it. Started off being reasonable about their mistake, then backed out and said it was her problem. There were other questionable service problems, like dangerously low fluid levels and different sizes of wheel nuts when putting the wheels back on. Poor quality of servicing and did not stand behind their used vehicle. They took advantage of her lack of knowledge.

After the test drive, I went to the dealerships carrying the other vehicles I was interested in. Suffice to say, the service did not compare. Did not feel pressured and enjoying my new Kona.

Do not go there if Chantal is working as the Sales Manager. I would have given them 5 stars if it was not for this one person. Tyler my sales guy was just amazing. Logan too helped me with all the finance paper works as soon as possible. But the Sales Manager Chantal was really bad to deal with. My whole experience became poor by just talking to her for 2 minutes. She just does not know how to speak to people. I have no idea how she is the Sales Manager there. The incident was I took my vehicle there to trade and get a new vehicle. I had the door painted as it was scratched when the vehicle was parked. I did tell them this but it came as an Accident claim on the car report which I was unaware of. They told me this after I had put down $4000 as a non refundable amount. She told me I had to pay an additional amount of $500 which I would have if she had asked me nicely. She put in such a way that I was trying to cheat them. She has 0 people skills. I am sure she would be a reason for some sales to be lost. Even Cory the owner was awesome. So guys feel free to buy your vehicle from there. Just make sure Chantal is not there. So follow up to owners review. I had clearly mentioned to Taylor that the car was scratched and painted. You being the champions in doing this everyday should have checked car fax or asked me in detail about what happened before taking the $4000 deposit. In addition when I called for help regarding the insurance I was charged for the old vehicle which you took, your team said they cannot help as I put a bad review. What company says that,You had an opportunity to change the situation and make it better but decided not to help the customer as they put a bad review. Again, it is the way Chantal told me the matter that provoked me to put the bad review. Your own team mate Taylor told me that he has lost business due to the way Chantal speaks to customer. I had mentioned to Taylor and Logan that I was not happy with the way she spoke. I did tell Taylor i would be putting a bad review about her. If you love your review so much. You should have tried to fix the issue before i left. If you do not like people putting honest review I suggest you do not have Google page.

Couldn't be happier A rainy stormy day in November found my husband and I at Finneron Hyundai in Comox. I'd been looking for a smaller SUV for a while and found that the SUV that turned my head was the TUCSON. This was our first time here and we couldn't have been happier. We were greeted at the door by Sven and a big smile. There was no pressure, no hurry, just a friendly relaxed atmosphere. As it was pretty stormy that day, I returned a week later to do a test drive and choose my new car which I am absolutely thrilled with. It turned out that Sue Finneron herself had chosen the interior of the car I picked and I must say it's beautiful. I've had my car now for 4 months. A few days ago I got a nail in my tire.
