I am very satisfied with my experience at Car Loft . Chris is an amazing asset to this company he is a great sales man but also he is a down to earth kind of guy . He doesn’t pressure you and just genuinely wants his customers to get what they want and wants them to be happy . All the staff there were GREAT they made me feel welcomed as soon as I walked in the doors . Chris new I was extreamly scared and my anxiety was very high and he made me feel relaxed . My only issue would be the cleanliness of the vehicle it definitely was not cleaned before i received it . I sent Chris a message and he apologized for this and it will be rectified . Never buy vehicles from them. They sell rented cars and after a few month their cars will show up many mechanical issues that it cost a lot to fix it. Also don’t buy their warranty especially Canada general warranty. It’s a waste of money, it won’t coverage anything and they don’t tell you that even if it coverage, the price has to be more that 100 dollars. Make sure you read every single page of their warranty.

I am a seving member of our military and could and still can not believe the way they treated my wife and I. I am writing this review in the hopes that people read it and make an informed decision and maybe one person will take this advice. I will try to be brief. We were in the market for a car and we were shopping around for best price, interest rate and low km's. We found a couple that we liked and all had low interest rates we decided to go with Carloft, newest vehicle and lowest interest rate (so we were told). Day of signing: - interest rate jumped up almost 3℅, we were kind of shocked but got over it. - we were shown a scuff on front bumper, the salesman said they were going to fix it, we were ok with that and signed the papers. Day after signing: - I accidently found the auction website and checked more pictures of the car, there happened to be more damage to the car than what was disclosed to us by salesman, we were not happy at all. - contacted salesman immediately and cancelled deal on the grounds of them misleading us and breach of trust. Aftermath: - they refused to cancel our loan approval which almost resulted us losing a great deal at another dealership, who might I add he could not believe how the salesman and manager reacted at Carloft. - they tried to use old school strong arm and underhanded tactics on us but we know our rights unlike some younger customers who could easily be bullied. We would not recommend anyone to shop here, Kingston and surrounding area has many dealership to choose from there is no reason to have to shop there. My story ends well, not all do, we found another car at another dealership, who was friendly, helpful, honest and wanting our business.

We bought a car from them and we have had nothing but problems. Carloft refused to fix it telling us it was our problem. We had it inspected by another mechanic and it turns out the issues we were having were due to their negligence. We had to sink several thousand dollars in the first three months of ownership. Buyer beware! We will never buy a car from them again.

Upgraded Dodge Caravan from 2015 to 2018 with much better features and new winter tires!! Paying less for this van than previous one! Will not buy again though. They took my trade two full key fobs and gave me a fob no emergency key after I signed papers that a week later have not received a copy yet. Then I wake up to find the old finance company is still pulling from my bank now I don’t have rent money or money to pay for my new loan. If it was not for my father Me and my wife and 4 children would most likely be homeless. Seems once the sales papers are signed the honeymoon is over.

Carloft is really Jim Thompson Chrysler, that is located next door. Don't be fooled by their positive hype, that turns nasty and negative quickly in reality. In addition, the lot itself consists of muddy /dusty gravel and is very unlevel and uneven . The vehicles which consists mostly of shitters are parked leaning this way and that way, everything but even and level. There are no prices or mileage listed on the windows of any vehicles. No sales people come out to meet you. I guess they expect you to just believe whatever their website says...

Yesterday we set up an appointment for today to test drive a truck being brought in from Kingston. We head over to our local office today, only to find out the truck was sold yesterday, before we even booked our test drive, but they still booked us anyway. The rep here in town didn't even have a clue we were supposed to come check out a vehicle. Very poor communication from office to office. Then to top it off, the rep who we spoke to advised us now that they have our number on file, we're going to get hounded with phone calls from them. This place is a joke and will never get our business again.

Not happy with this place. My son got taken advantage of, buying his first car. He was ill-advised and now has to pay more than he can afford. He was naive but those guys saw him coming. They even lied about his interest rate, he would have to pay. They also told him to use his "summer" salary (full-time ) instead of the one he actually makes during school year (part-time), despite him telling them about it. Now, not two weeks later, they won't even consider exchanging the vehicule for something he can actually afford.

Was at the Carleton Place location looking at a truck. Asked to have it cleaned before we make a decision and was told we needed to talk numbers and there was some flex before they detail the inside which was weird as it was in bad shape with paint and stains on the seats and a bad cigarette smoke smell. Seemed odd as that would lower the price I am willing to pay or could be the difference between a sale or not but ok. Also told I needed to put a fully refundable down payment before my mechanic could look at it. Ok no problem I can understand a damage type deposit. When I got back I was told prices are not negotiable and that talking numbers only meant finance rates so we did not have a deal as there were comparables elsewhere for lower and that were not in a previous accident. Was told to go across to the Ford for a refund. Ok I think they are affiliated with Carleton Ford and maybe they can't do refunds directly at Carloft. Refund was then declined at Ford and we were told a code was entered wrong in the machine locking it and now they have to drive a check to Kingston to get it signed by the owner. What kind of way is this to run a business? Not sure how they sell stuff if they don't clean the vehicles until deposits are made, don't negotiate prices and don't return money paid when it was stated as a refundable deposit.

Although I bought a car, the payment ended up $50 over what I agreed is therefore thousands of dollars over the price agreed. They then refused to fix a rust issue after I took possession of the vehicle. I think a safety or inspection is needed before you take on a car from them. Also, a thorough discussion about the financing should be had multiple times as it seemed to repeatedly change on me. The paper I signed stated one thing, the finance company said another. My review still remains, my bill is paid every 2 weeks and is still $50 more than I agreed

From delays, poor customer service and now a issue with the financeing, where 2 separate loans are still being withdrawn from my bank account. It took 12 hours for the salesman to reply to my message and only after i asked for the owners phone number. Not very pleased with this experience. I do not recommend carloft.

My girlfriend and I, went to car loft to look at a few cars to make sure she got exactly what she wanted. We are only 20&19 but we were ready to make a purchase. When we asked about two cars, saying we like one more but would like to give both a chance, one employee just said "why are you trying both". When we asked about specific cars, he reminded us hes the buisness man and he had over 3000 cars and cant try to sell us ONE. We got handed the keys after a long wait, once we were back we stood around for more than 45 minutes and when we gave the keys back he just took them and said barely anything. We left and went to hyundai, which was amazing. Terrible.

Went in twice and both times felt like I was intruding. Certainly don't make you feel welcome. Was offered well below the Kelly rate for my vehicle, which isn't a big deal. I didn't take it but when I went in the second time ( about 2 weeks later) they wanted to go even lower as "not sure I can give you that now). Then, springs a minimum that you can finance...The long and short, they certainly didn't engender any sort of trust or desire to work with me on a vehicle. These guys are crooks. They sold me a third party warranty saying it would only add a few dollars to my bi-weekly payment when it turns out it also added a whole additional year to the term of the loan. The third party warranty I did buy has so far been impossible to use. When I first emailed them concerning that the shop wouldn't honor my warranty they didn't bother responding. Since then every time I call anybody they just give me the run around saying I have to go or call somewhere else. Before I purchased the car they refused to send me the documents ahead of time which would of actually given me a fair chance to read and process them before signing them in person. The silver lining is that at least I've thoroughly learned what dishonest tricks to watch for when purchasing a vehicle.

I don't usually do this, but if I can save one person from going thru what I went thru, then it's worth it. Not sure where to begin. I will start from the beginning. I was told that the guy I was dealing with was the manager which makes this whole experience very unsettling. My first contact was by phone. I wanted as much information as I could get before committing to coming in. Mostly because of covid, but also didn't want to waste my time unless I was interested. I was quoted the price of vehicle and rate of loan. I said I would get back to him after crunching some numbers. I spent the next day doing my research. I had worked it out to the penny what my term and monthly payments would be. I made copious notes and booked a appointment to come in. This is where it all started to go wrong. After looking at the base price of car and rate of loan he had just laid out for me, I was startled. The price of vehicle was 1,000 dollars more and rate had gone up a point. I pointed this out and he said no that was the price today. I told him that was bullsh**. I had looked it up myself before coming. I told him to look it up on his computer. When he did it showed in fact I was right. When questioned about the rate change I was told that had also changed. Since it was only by a point I was willing to let it go. I had also worked out what I could afford monthly and the shortest term possible. What he was trying to quote me was way off base. I made him do the calculation in front of me and again I was right. I went thru all of the paperwork with a fine tooth comb and corrected many details that were just blatantly wrong. Many times I almost walked out. He changed his tune and started working with me. You would think that should be the end of it. Nope it got worse. Went in the next day to bring certified cheque for my down payment and sign paperwork. He left and said he had to make copies and would be back in 10 min. He kept us waiting for 40 min. Why was the paperwork not ready? When he did come back I was not happy and said so and asked him if he realized how long he kept us waiting and with a straight face he said only ten min. Then he said I was only trying to do you a favour. What favour I asked. Well I picked you up. I was furious. Since he knew I had just sold my vehicle and he had gone ahead and changed my plates and ownership which he had. I also said when I rent a car they come and pick up and drop me off. What the hell, I just bought a car from you. I need to point out that I told him I did not want him to change plates because I had just renewed them for two years and had brought my plates with me to put on. He had gone ahead and did it anyway. It took over an hour to get the paperwork done and signed which was handed to me in a large envelope and was told everything I needed was in there. Finally it was done. Nope got home went thru paperwork NO ownership. After calling and being told yes I was given ownership. I called my insurance and asked if they received a copy, nope they didn't. Long story short He realized he couldn't get with this one he said he would get one to me by the next day. A few other important things that I feel I should say before ending this. Not once did I ever receive an apology from him for anything. Most importantly he never wore his mask correctly. Most of the time he did not cover nose even when asked to do so. I know this was long winded, but I felt it necessary to get it all out there in case anybody reading this will be able to get a clear picture of what I went thru. Please if you do decide to buy from Carloft BEWARE.

I was told by car loft its my fault....breaks.. locks and heat all went within the first month... and the only way to fix it .. civil law suit.. ???????? not worth the time or afford..

Frankly, I like to look for reviews on after sales service. My son (a vulnerable, unsophisticated and inexperienced first time car buying customer) had a fair credit history, limited available down payment and no employment history or income. His salesperson managed to arrange financing and sold him an (in truth, inappropriate) expensive vehicle considering his financial situation. He also purchased a substantial $4000.00 warranty contract that was also part of the deal. When my son first experienced some electrical issues with the car, he contacted Canada General Warranty and left a detailed message. It took several attempts to get an email from Canada General Warranty telling him to take the car to Thompson Chrysler for a diagnosis. This referral proved to be lacking. After a week’s wait for an appointment and an out-of-pocket charge of $145.77 to confirm the obvious, the Chrysler dealer said they did not have the equipment to repair a Mercedes. My son’s next, repeated attempts to reach Canada General Warranty for further advice went unanswered. Considerable time passed and all these delays are not acceptable to him and he just wants his money back for the warranty contract. My son turned back to Carloft and reached out in desperation to his salesperson, who then promised he would himself contact the warranty company for a response. He told my son that he would “handle” the warranty company. The salesperson did not call back. We requested a full refund for this protection contract from Carloff.ca senior management but we were refused.

Eventually they found the issue and wanted us to pay 2000 dollars for the repair. The issue would have been apparent during the inspection the dealership completes. Beware of tall slick smooth talking Adam. What a pro con artist. He starts out by bragging about all the cool parties he goes to and how he used to be a pretty boy selling Ferrari’s or lambos or some bullcrap in Toronto then somehow guilts you into making a deposit on a vehicle you are “thinking about” just in case you want it so some one else doesn’t get it by morning. Then when you ask for your deposit back he tells you that the interact point of sale isn’t working and blaaa blaaa blaaaa (insert sleazy used car salesman pitch here). I drove from Brockville to Kingston twice more to get my money and always a new excuse and still the gall to try and sell you a vehicle. What a thief. I never did get my 100 dollars back. He tried to get me to deposit 500 thank goodness I didn’t. Absolutely no morals. Then they had the Cornwall office call me to try and get me to use my pre approval and they promised a check for the money Adam took was in the mail. Guess what? It never came. Go figure. They are really nice and helpful untill you say no to them. I guess a sucker like me comes along every 5 min. Too bad Adam won’t remember me - an honest working man who earned that 100 bucks and could actually use it. I will always remember you Adam!! P.S. thank you KIA of Brockville for treating me fairly and with respect.

Dodged a bullet with this dealership. Had an agreed upon price for a 2016 Ford Escape. When we came into sign, the financing paper work and vehicle price had changed. They pad their margins with a $999.00 financing fee (it’s not an actual thing) to deflate their sticker prices and get people on the lot. Had a much better experience and bought a vehicle for a better price at Kingston Chrysler Dodge, where customer service and honesty are at the core of their business model.
