We required our winter tires to be installed but our next maintenance appointment was not until Dec 12/17. We took our truck to HM to see if they could fit us in without an appointment. The service guy was very accommodating and asked if we could leave the truck with him and he would try and get the service done in the next couple of days. We had no problem leaving the truck . That afternoon we got a call telling us the truck was ready. Very surprised to get it so soon, but very pleased. All maintenance and tires changed completed. Thank You Humber Motors. When we picked up the truck, I asked the young lady why our inside light don't come on when we open the door. She immediately put on her coat and came out to the truck to check the settings. She fixed the problem for us. Thanks again for great service.

Garry Pinksen Deer Lake I talked to the service lady prior to Mar. 6 about my seatbelt recall and she had to check to see if the part was in. A few days later we talked again and she said the part was in. She set up an appointment for March 20 to get the recall taken care of. I was at the shop for my 8:00 appointment. I showed the lady at the desk my recall letter. She read it and said the part will not be in until second quarter. She said "you just wasted a trip from Deer Lake to Corner Brook." This was the second time I showed up for an appointment I was told to come to and when I got there, they weren't able to do it. I will surely call prior to my next appointment to make sure it is valid. This was my experience of the last visit. I wasn't pleased! Still, I am a happy Humber Motors customer! Thank-you. Garry

After a couple bad experiences I bought a truck from Carroll Auto in lab City. But fast forward five months and 50000 km and the truck developed a fuel leak in Saint Barb. The truck had to be towed to Humber motor. After a week of waiting, and then not helping me get home, I get a call saying I owe them $500. After an argument and eventually calling Ford I walk in and talk to the service manager who tells me they will after all cover it under warranty. After a week of the truck not being fixed, and no phone calls, I finally called them to ask what is going on. They tell me I owe them another $500 for DEF quality issue. This would have been no problem but they did not notify me of this or ask my permission. This was something that could have been fixed for free myself, and I was not willing to pay $500. After yet another argument with the service manager he tells me the only way to get my truck back is to pay the bill, as there are clear laws stating that a customer must agree to the repairs, that is untrue. Every dealing with this facility so far has been less than satisfactory from sales and service

Total lack of respect and empathy from the service dept in Corner Brook and Sville was unable to assist at all. I’ve bought 3 new vehicles from Stephenville in the last 9 years and until now I have been fairly pleased with the service. Long story short, lost the AC in my Explorer last month in St Johns when humidex was in the 30’s. No dealership there could fit me in. Sville couldn’t help or get me in at all til Aug sometime and waited 2 weeks to get in CB. Waited over 3hrs on Friday for them to tell me they didn’t have the part and it was unsafe to drive. 1 1/2 hrs later scrounged up an escape til they can fix mine. This Escape had plastic under guard dragging on the ground, very bad clunking and rattling coming from the front end and check engine light on! Drove the 1 1/2 hrs home and wouldn’t drive it anywhere else. Called Sville Monday morning and they had nothing to loan me and says there are no rentals available. I was told by 3 different people that the part was being flown in Wed morning and would be put on right away. Well the part came this morning but when I called I was told it wouldn’t be put on today and couldn’t say if it will be done tomorrow! I use my vehicle for my small bakery business and I had to cancel all orders for this week because I am unable to deliver and drive to town for supplies. Nobody seems to care or want to help! I will never buy another Ford, totally unacceptable service!! I tried reaching out to Ford Canada and received an email Monday from the regional customer service manager who assured me she was on the case and basically told me everything I wanted to hear. I’ve emailed her three times since then and she hasn’t responded. I am so done with Ford!

My 2016 Ford Fusion was brought in to the dealership on March 23 and picked up again on March 29th, 2018. I had a few concerns, one of which was intermittent sounds coming from the steering wheel when I was making turns, notice use of the word intermittent. I told the lady at the service desk that among the issues I had, was that my warranty was almost expired and I wanted the vehicle completely checked over. I was willing to pay the fee required for the multi point inspection. I picked up my car on March 29th. On April 5th, I was driving on the highway and noticed my steering seemed stiff. On April 10th, I drove my daughter to Grand Falls Windsor for a doctor’s appointment. I felt quite nervous during the drive. The vehicle seemed to be slightly swaying from left to right as I was driving. I reduced my speed considerably because I didn’t seem to have as much control when I was driving the highway speed limit of 100km/hr. I asked neighbor/friend, to take the car for a drive. He drove the car and told me it was unsafe. I sent an email to Humber Motors that night and got a call from their service manager, Eric who was less than apologetic. He got somewhat irate when I told him I was continuing to have trouble with my steering wheel. His response was, “well it wasn’t like it when you drove it home was it?” I would classify it as raising his voice to me. He insisted my wheels needed to be re torqued. I had the wheels re torqued again. The issue was still there so i called road side and had it towed back to the dealership. one of my original issues was with my steering wheel which is documented on the original invoice of March 23rd. I told the lady at the desk, the sound was intermittent. When I started having difficulty with the car so soon after being at the dealership, I read over my bill carefully. The word “intermittent” was not used and I didn’t see any mention or charge for the multi point inspection I asked for.}. Road Side came and picked up my car on Friday, April 13th. The dealership either could not or would not provide me with a loaner vehicle. On Monday, April 16th, I had to get a family member to bring me to Corner Brook for an appointment for my daughter. No loaner was available to me on that day either. I received a call from Humber Motors on April 17, 2018. My steering gear was faulty. They expect me to pay for 50% and they would get Ford Canada to pay the other 50%. I will be out of pocket somewhere in the vicinity of $1000.00. My vehicle has approximately 61000 KM. After contacting the manager of the dealership, I received a call and was told the repairs would be spilt three ways between me, Ford Canada and the dealership. Originally, even Ford Canada was told by the dealership that I was responsible for 50% of the repair. I wonder how closely was my concern of “intermittent” sounds coming from the steering wheel investigated? My husband had noted a knocking sound coming from the front end and wanted this checked out. The Mechanic notes on my bill suggested the “right outer tie rod needed to be replaced. It was “test drove…didn’t hear noise anymore”. Was the steering wheel and its components examined? The car ended up back in their garage for repair of the faulty steering and I picked it up again on April 19th. I had to pay a bill of $806.66 for the steering repair (it was pretty hard to swallow but I needed my car!) I informed Meghan that I was very unsatisfied. I asked her to check to see if a second set of pictures had been taken for the paint repair? This was requested by Ford Canada. They had not! The bill dated April 19th doesn’t show the breakdown of cost ( labour or parts). It doesn’t show how the cost was divided among me, Ford Canada or Humber Motor. I will not be satisfied until I am reimbursed the $806.66 I paid to Humber Motors on April 19th, 2018. Furthermore, I did not receive a survey to gauge my satisfaction! I wonder why!

Good service. In as scheduled and out in an appropriate amount of time. The front end people are great to work with and the work performed by the mechanics is excellent. Great attention to keeping the interior of the car clean when the mechanice has to be inside the vehicle. Great prices for the work done. The checklist is a great way to keep the car owner up to speed on potential issues or work needing to be completed. Thanks for that. Put my truck in for a service and they damaged 3 items on my truck and refuse to fit or replace them. Would recommend going anywhere else but this place. One a positive note, the sales people are very friendly and helpful. REPLY TO YOUR RESPONSE: I have been trying to get this issue resolved for 6 months now. Have been talking to 3 people including the branch manager and I got the same answer from all 3. "Leave this with me and I will get this fitted up for you". And then I never hear from them again, so I know that your response to "resolve the matter" is the same as the other 3 people and nothing will be done and it would be a complete waste of my time.

We had a very good experience on Dec 7. Needed a vehicle to run some errands as we are from out of town, was told there wasn't any available so I spoke to Joe and he was very helpful and found a vehicle for us. One little problem ( sorry Joe) when we got our truck back they hadn't changed our wiper blades which is included in our maintainence plan. We were given the blades to put on ourselves as we would have had to wait for someone to put them on.

My 2010 Ford Fusion was on recall for approximately 6 months. I was immediately put into a rental vehicle (2016 Ford Edge) and drove it until my own vehicle was repaired. By the way, as much as I love my Fusion, the Edge was a beautiful ride-- all 18,000 kms. Very disappointed that I was not informed there were 380km on my vehicle before I took delivery. And when I closely examined signed documents it only indicated 175km on vehicle. Did not get box liner, mud flaps and wheel well liners for free as "promised" on original quote. Not indicated on signed documents what was included "free" and what I paid for - all items for free and those I paid for were just "listed together" in a single box. Signed documents do not reference MSRP and what was added to get their starting price or "selling price". Be careful! Will not buy from this dealer again.

My six- month service was outstanding. Here's why: In my 50 years of driving in Canada and Europe it is the very first time the Service Department of a dealership actually finished the service as stated. My appointment was for 0800 hours, the Service Department Manager said it would be ready for pickup around 0900 hours. I was floored, the truck was ready to roll at 0920 hours. I have driven GM, Dodge, and recently a Lincoln MKX (from another dealership). Every time, bar none, I would drop vehicle off between 0800-0900 and start asking when will it be ready by noon, noon would run to 1400 and later. I have nothing but praise for Humber Motors Ford on Confederation Drive. Their Service Department motto is Fist-In First-Out.

Having signage on vehicles is extremely convenient because it tells the world where they can complain if said vehicles are behaving like a**holes. White pickup double-parked at the hotel I was staying at so I had to park in the next parking lot over. Vehicles with your logo/website reflect your company as a whole and I can confidently say that I will never deal with Humber Motors because of this.

My wife and I purchased our first Ford Escape in 2013, from Elsie at Humber Motors in PAB. Great vehicle, no major problems and all servicing done by Bruce's Autofix. Just 2 months ago, our daughter got a job as a teacher in Mackenzie, BC, and would be taking the Escape across the country. A last minute fit in, for a thorough inspection and servicing of the vehicle was done by Bruce's Autofix, with Elsie's help obtaining parts. They went above and beyond to ensure the vehicle was safe and ready for the long haul. SInce then, we have purchased a 2017 Escape from Elsie. Very pleased with Elsie and the staff at Bruce's Autofix. Would highly recommend.

went in for rough ride in truck. Was told it’s because truck is aluminum and if I want a smooth ride I need to deflate tires.which bring on low tire sensor. Was told what “would you rather smooth ride or to deal with low tire sensor.” Should put that in new advertisements I ’m very disappointed in the ride of my truck As for oil change service it was great no issues

Another good experience at HM. My recent visit was for a recall and handled with the usual good customer service. My servicing was completed on Friday of a long weekend. Late Saturday I experienced an issue and not knowing what to do I called the service mgr. at home, left a msg. My call was returned on Sunday and the service mgr met me at the dealership and corrected the problem. This is why I drive a Ford, thank you Eric Perrett and the team at Humber.

Very poor service. Had an appointment for 10:00 and when 5:00 came, closing time, they still hadn’t looked at my truck and said they had no time to look at her that day. After driving 250 km for an appointment and spending all day with no vehicle, even had to wait an hour for a courtesy ride. I then asked to see the manager and he had someone to have a quick look at her. Problem still not fixed, have to wait for part to come.
