This is the third time in the last two years I have rented a vehicle from Enterprise. This time I rented Ford Expedition for ten days, and I had an amazing experience with Enterprise. Their direct booking pricing is competitive than most online platforms. The staff at the Fort McMurray branch is accommodating and supportive. Their vehicle fleet is new, and vehicle confirmation was very prompt. I received a confirmation call from them one day in advance, and my vehicle was ready when I went for pick up. Check-in was fast and after office hours checkout were hassle-free. A query on the invoice was responded to by staff proactively. For sure next time will rent from Enterprise again.

Enterprise selects, developes and retains the best and the brightest talent. We had a great experience at the Halifax train station with Branch Manager Hans Petterson. He helped us secure a reservation at the Corner Brook, NL location when the online inventory was nil. Today we met the Corner Brook Branch Manager Chris Compagnion who was a great representative of the company. He helped us understand the insurance options and we're on our way to explore NL. Thanks Hans, Chris and Enterprise! Love the car, and the pick up service (Thanks John) and would have given 5 stars, except the price of a car for one week is expensive. (although in Newfoundland, we were really happy to have a car available without a long held reservation.)

I have been renting vehicles from this location since last couple of years. This is the only place in Mac whose customer service has been remarkable and consistent. The whole staff is well trained and friendly. Any issues which you might face is taken care of right away. Best place to rent a car in town.????????

DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!!!!!!! I wish I could rate this 0 stars. This branch has the rudest manager, Ash is his name, I've ever met in my 41 years on this planet. Twice now in the past 2 months I have booked vehicles, and then confirmed multiple times in that phone call that there would be a vehicle for me. Twice now I have had to pay for a cab only to be told by them that they do not have a vehicle for me. Im out $127 in cab fees and did not get a vehicle. Ash, the branch manager, was EXTREMELY RUDE on the phone and didn't care at all that I needed to pick up my wife and son who have been out of town helping with a severe family emergency. Avoid this business at all costs! Just read other reviews to see its a common theme from here. I will be contacting the BBB about this business.

Reserved a car and decided to go a day early to have my paperwork sorted because I was planning an early start the next day. On getting there and after collecting my driver license details I was informed I will need to provide my credit card details the next day...as a visitor from the UK I informed the staff I did not have a credit card on me but have a prepaid travel card or a debit card to which she replied that those two were not acceptable form of payment. They ruined my whole plan as I had to start making last minute preparations for an alternative(public transportation) which cost me more and also brought about considerable changes to plans for my trip. A little note while booking is been made about a credit card as the ONLY acceptable form of payment would have gone a long way to save me all this grief, despite their website stating that debit cards are accepted as a form of payment only at non airport locations(I guess the Cornwall branch doesn’t classify as one) and also a member of staff stating that cash and debits cards are accepted in their branch(when I called in to enquiry after reading their payment policy online). Please update your booking process to reflect this little note to save others all the stress. Thank you.

My friend and I traveled to Newfoundland from the US and made the reservation online. She selected the option for an oversize vehicle as we'll be traveling for 3 weeks on our hiking trip. We called Enterprise from the hotel this morning and they did, in fact, pick us up. Unfortunately, the site she booked through had a very odd definition of oversize because what came was somewhat of a glorified golf cart. We managed to squeeze ourselves and luggage in the vehicle and discussed the issue with the agent on the ride back to the office. He was incredibly pleasant, understanding, and offered local tips about the Corner Brook area. It turned out that the online rental company used misleading terms on their site and we had the choice between the tin can and a normal sized car for a tad more. Another thing the online site didn't mention was that the entirety of our estimated booking plus a 200 dollar deposit was going to be placed as a hold on my friend's credit card. Neither of us had the funds available to do that for the larger car as well as have money for our estimated expenses. The manager, Chris, came to assist us and explained that they couldn't take a card number from me for an account I share with my husband because I didn't have the card on me. He was very friendly and accommodating while we worked to figure out what we were going to do. We asked every question we could think of and Chris found us every answer with a smile no matter how many dates he had to change, drop off locations, et cetera. We settled on The Can but lesson learned- have a separate card for your rental or an available balance to accommodate every aspect of your trip. 10/10 Would rent from this Corner Brook Enterprise again and not just for the great view while we waited. Will definitely book directly next time.

State of emergency due to the flood and my booking was cancelled. They said no vehicles were available. Just for fun I booked under a fake name for a WAY HIGHER PRICE and all of a sudden there was a car available! Disgusting business practices. Price gouging people who need help the most is gross. Go back to where this is standard practice. This is not legal or moral in Canada. Shame on you. By the way I recorded our phone conversations, took screen shots, and submitted everything to the Alberta government, Sun Media, and Global Media. This is not going to go well for you.

This has to be the first time I've had a truly positive experience renting a car. I phone last minute to see if they had anything I could rent for a few hours, and by some stroke of luck they did, overnight even! Not expecting that on a Friday in August! They picked me up, which was really nice. Then since the Atlantic-wide Bell/Telus/banking networks were down, my CC that provides car insurance on rentals kept being declined. My other CC doesn't have car insurance, but due to the extenuating circumstances, they comped me the insurance! Wow!!

Update to this review. Enterprise was very apologetic and compensated me for their error. Will continue renting from them because of their customer service.

One of the worst car rental companies in Fort McMurray. Both the two locations, including the one at the airport are very shady and never honor bookings. On two different occasions, I had a major inconvenience thanks them. First, I booked a vehicle a week in advance to go to Calgary and visit my family. And just the day before I could go and pick up the rental vehicle from them, they called me and told me no vehicle was available. Later that day, I called their office pretending to be a new customer and asked for the same vehicle they earlier told me was unavailable. Funny enough, it was available, but at twice the prize I had originally booked it for online. So in short, I came to learn they canceled my booking so that they can rent it out to another customer at a higher price. Sham of a place. Money loving people own both places, knows no customer service, save your money, go elsewhere.

Poor costumer service The information they give changes from person to person, I was told I was gonna get a refund for the remaining gas on the car because I didn’t get the gas tank full but when I went to drop it off they said there isn’t a refund and the only thing they can do is give me a discount something I don’t need and, I really don’t like when they don’t give you the proper info from the beginning and all they can say afterwards it’s that they are sorry and they can’t change the past. If I ever rent again it won’t be from enterprise

Ordered a car online and they called and said it was full, until the following Friday. Called Enterprise customer service and they told me there was a car, so I made another booking over the phone. Drop off fee to Vancouver was $95 included in my reservation. When I arrived they said there were no cars. And then followed with, if I were to go to Vancouver the drop off fee would be more than the price on my reservation. Takeaway is that the manager didn't want a car going to Vancouver, so they refused my order. Don't have prices online if you don't want to implement them. Customer service 101. I wish they would have just said that, but they hid it and kept changing their tune. Went from no cars, to you'll need a higher drop off fee for leaving Cranbrook.

We booked an SUV 2 months early so that we will get the car but when we tried to confirm 2 days before the date they say that it is not available and there's nothing they can do about it. But we got a text notification on the same day to do it early for less hustle on paperwork but when we went to there to get the car its not available, the employee gave us the manager card and said you can call the manager yourself for complains and talk to the manager, so we said why don't you call the manager and ask what ca can do for us, then he said he can't do it because the manager is on vacation. So what's the point then??? the reason why customer try to book early so that it can be reserve early and knowing there is a reservation for the said date the customer will get the vehicle he booked for, RIGHT???

Horrible experience at corner brook location, booked a car to take to a work meeting in deer lake because I had a issue with my car, made sure to check payment policies as I only had Visa debit, debit or cash available..when I showed up they said they could not accept my card even tho I specifically checked to make sure before booking that I had a correct payment method, so then I offered cash told them they could hold a 1000 instead of 200 if my Visa debit was no good..that also was unacceptable..long story short they cost me a days wage and a contract....will only use turo when traveling from now on as they didnt try and help me the littlest bit

Had a confirmed rental cancelled less than 24hrs before pick-up because there were no cars available. Location was unable to process the cancellation and was charged anyhow. Only realized I was charged after receiving my statement. Was told I was supposed to have cancelled after they informed me car was unavailable. Company needs to learn about meeting commitments to customers.

On Sun, July 10,16 I had a moose vehicle accident at 11 pm and it was a very bad experience. On Monday I was to return home after taking care of what I needed to so I went to the Enterprise office where I was informed that there was nothing available at that time and they were trying their best to have a vehicle for me. But possibly the earliest was a week into August. I left and went to Mel's Auto body where the events of the past 12-18 hours took its toll and I was just wanted to get home. Betty at Mel's asked me hold on for a few minutes where she proceeded to make a call and quickly returned to informed me that Ashley was coming to pick me up, they had a truck for me. I was ever so grateful as they all went above and beyond for me, their customer. Chris stated that I needed to be taken care of today and that's exactly what they did. I have since returned the rental and I see that their dilemma is still the same, they do not have access to the amount of vehicles that is in their demand. But none the less they are excellent at their jobs and I thank them for their wonderful service. Remember these people are there on the 'front lines' but certain things are out of their control. Run far away. Even if you have a reservation it doesn’t mean that you will have a car. They accept reservation even if they don’t have any car to give. And you arrive and you’re blocked. All three companies there, Budget, Enterprise and National. All bad.

I have tried to rent there a few times now. Every single time I've had problems. The most recent attempt had to be cancelled right after my reservation as the truck I rented wasn't actually available. The previous time they sent my family out in winter conditions with bald tires, putting my children at risk. And the time prior to that I reserved a vehicle in advance for a trip out of town, and got dropped off after work only to find out my vehicle again wasn't available. I spent 2 hrs waiting on a Friday evening, until after they closed to get a vehicle and was very late making it to Edmonton that night. I give up. DO. NOT RENT HERE.

My son rented a vehicle at this Enterprise location- he requested a 4-wheel drive vehicle because of winter conditions but was refused and given an unsafe Kia Soul without snow tires. The car went 100km with the traction control light frozen on and was almost blown off the road. The brakes locked when he tried to drive around the round about into the rental location to bring the car back and the right front wheel slide into the curb and bent the rim. He received a damage report for $3985.00 that included replacement of the wheel, the tire, knuckle, strut, tyrod, alignment, towing. strorage and labour. IF YOU ARE A YOUNG MAN DO NOT RENT FROM ENTERPRISE IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE - BECAUSE THEY DO NOT!!!!! We will dispute these charges since knuckle, strut and tyrod damage can't be explained by a lateral slide into the curb. STAY AWAY FROM ENTERPRISE!!!!

They got two employees working hard but , The guy came to deliver car tried to confuse me about transferring the insurance .He believed that the ICBC insurance may or may not transfer to the rental because it's a rental car. They were in business since 1957 for God sake .Its funny the way they were trying to up sell .Try to be more convincing next time I guess. I got my car reserved by ICBC for God sake .I am sure this was not the first time they tried to pull it off .Not a proper way to make money .Run away somehow .

Very poor customer service from the black girl in the front desk an arrogant manager named Ash with no regard to the business I brought to them. I will never rent from this branch ever again and I advise others to avoid them. Very dishonest people as they rented me a mechanically unfit vehicle that put the lives of my wife, 2 kids and myself in danger. Then gave me a replacement vehicle that had a damage of which they claimed I damaged.internal investigations showed they already had that vehicle damaged and had to waive and apologize to me after putting me under unnecessary distress. They don’t sanitize their vehicles and don’t fill up the fuel. They will say just bring as it is and then charge you for fuel.

I booked a pickup truck 3 days in advanced and when I arrived to pick it up I was told there is no truck available and they offered me an SUV instead. Super disappointing and terrible customer service and receptionist. Avoid as much as possible if you have an important trip to do.

I went to their website and it specifically stated a Toyota Rav. Once I got there they gave me a Kia Soul. Their reason is that it is available only in Quebec. I wanted an awd because I live in the country and I need to drive in snow. It's a trick on customers and if I knew I would have rented from another company.
