Saw a truck went for a test drive and loved the truck. Decided to buy it so left it over night to get detailed. Decided to buy a top for the box and within the day Tim got one in and at the last minute asked for running boards as well. He had a set in stock. Great!! Was off and running that day!! The staff was courteous. I did not find that they were very thorough as we had to return twice for the same problem.
Customer service is just not the focus here. The hours are so difficult to work with. They wouldn’t offer a courtesy car, but it was an hour- long procedure so impossible to schedule before or after work. Had to leave the car for the day and arrange my own transportation. They wouldn’t allow me to confirm the shuttle (first come, first serve), but they could have just looked and seen no one else had made an appointment so early. I wouldn’t have gone in but that it was a recall repair.

Mertin GMC is fantastic!! I woke up and had water in my tail light which of course affected my right turn signal and break light. I am from out of town but I called this morning and they were very courteous, friendly and squeezed me in for emergency service on my truck for today (even though they were fully booked). My truck was fixed within two hours! I highly recommend Mertin GMC! Prompt and amazing service. Thank you!!

I was referred to Mertin Chevrolet by Canadian Tire originally because my truck had headlamps which shorted out every 4 months. This had been ongoing for many years and the service guys at Mertin diagnosed the problem and fixed it. My truck, being 2005, had minor leaks over the years and this week the original water pump died in my yard. All were fixed to my satisfaction. I find the Mertin Chevrolet service guys are knowledgeable and very easy to deal with. They explained the problem(s), give me options if possible, and the cost beforehand so it isn't a big surprise. I love my truck and will return to Mertin. The free car wash ticket is always appreciated as well!

In the past, my experience with the service department was positive. But the most recent one was not. Poor customer service. **Update** a rep contacted me concerned about what they might have done to only receive a 2 star rating. The fellow spent a good 20 minutes listening to my issues. He also thoughorly explained the vehicle's issue and was apologetic for the misunderstanding. After receiving this follow up, I am much happier and felt they deserve a 4 star for sure now.
I ended up going to Kelowna Chevrolet to buy my new truck It was worth it in the end I have found Mertins to be expensive on tires as well. We ended up buying our winter tires from Simons in Mission and saved 300. Bucks
Somehow I fell through the cracks of the system and was not picked up again by the shuttle service, realized only after I called in to check on my vehicle, only to find out service was now closed. In any case it was made right the next day, however it was a snafu I didn't need that day.

Very strong COVID protocols in place; especially appreciated note on car when I went to it that outlined how it had been sanitized for my safety.

Had a really good experience here. Not pushy; gave me a fair trade for my old vehicle, and feel like I was treated well. Go see Sat or Wayne, they'll treat you good. Love it that they are closed on Sundays too, at least there are still a few business out there that still feel the need for a day of rest.

I am quite disappointed with mertin. We had a tire appointment and they never called to lets us know they were shut down due to covid exposure. I get that these things happen, thats nobody's fault but you should always call your customers and let them know they need to reshedule. Dont just leave a sign at the gate that said,,,go to the rear of the building for tires and lube. Pretty stupid.

I had an appointment for an oil change. It took 2.5 hours, which I think is excessive. I ended up waiting there the entire time because initially, the guy told me it would be about an hour. The long wait time is a regular occurrence for me there -- they may end up losing my business for that reason alone. Otherwise, happy with the service, I like that they include a vacuum and a wash. Wish they had reset my 'check engine' light -- most oil change places do that for me. Edit: thanks for reaching out! I'm happy with the result. :)
I went to the Chevy dealership in Chilliwack for an oil change and a visual look over on my Chevy car. Picked up the car, paid my bill and everything seemed good. Didn’t drive the car over the weekend but the following week, my car’s radio screen and sound would glitch out when I would use the brakes. It also affected my blinkers. This happened every single day, started just morning but became morning and afternoon and was progressively getting worse. My car had never once had a single issue prior to taking it to the dealership. I also noted that they had topped up the air in my tires, but neglected to top up one tire which was substantially lower than the rest. I called the dealership and advised them of the car radio/screen/blinkers issue that had only begun since they touched my car. We arranged an appt the following day for them to look it over. Never once mentioned fees or a charge. Go into the appt and we’re discussing the issue. Again, no mention of fees or charges. Right as I was about to hand the keys over, I confirmed with the gentleman that I would not be getting charged for this. I was then finally told that I would be getting charged up to nearly $200, when my original charge for the actual service done was just over $100, and I was only coming in for this appt since this issue only started happening ever since they touched my car. I ended up walking out and will not be returning to this dealership for any type of service. I understand if you need to charge a fee, but you can’t lead your customers in blindly and just rack of expenses for fixing something that wasn’t broken before you took your car to them.

This is the worst dealership for customer service I have been to ever. It took forever for someone to come and assist us.
Service is adequate. Relatively quick, but not entirely happy about not being able to trust the website for making appointments, it was glitchy. The telephone receptionist was quite rude or simply uninformed. When I call the service dept during BUSINESS HOURS, I expect to be able to talk to someone. I was told to call later because nobody could take the call. Really? A huge dealership doesn't have someone to answer the phone during business hours? Also,no shuttle service on Saturdays? Lots of other places have that service. And lastly. If I have to wait for my vehicle to be worked on, It would be NORMAL in this day and age to be able to connect to WiFi at the waiting area. I had to go into the showroom to connect. Not good. I felt like I was not really welcome there. I appreciate the good service i get for my truck. It's the little annoyances that could be improved. After all, our family has spent a lot of money buying vehicles there over the last couple of decades. Making expensive repairs and service less painful would be appreciated. Plus think about it, its good for business.

I’ve been bringing my 2012 Chevy Cruze to Mertin GM since I moved to Chilliwack in 2014. I moved back to Vancouver in 2017 and I still make the trip out anytime my car needs some TLC. They sold my 90 year old grandmother a car that had wifi. My grandmother doesn’t even have a cell phone. Apparently the workers here are willing to steal money from an old lady. It’s an extra 20$ a month and hasn’t been touched. It makes me sick that there are people in this world that will take advantage of people like this. She doesn’t even have powered windows yet she needs wifi? Explain this to me. I would like to call the salesperson and ask him if he beats up old people at retirement home often in their spare time or just steal without them looking?

So it's pretty easy to assume the dealership is going to cost more than any other mechanic, but I had a dealership only dashboard issue in addition to my engine troubles; so I brought my vette to mertin. The service representative was very prompt in keeping me aware of work done, costs and potential costs, and general timeline. That also means the technician doesn't have to stop working on my car. The parts were affordable, and while the hourly rate was premium, it was very tight and didn't leave room for a smoke break.
I recently got new tires here. I got a quote and requested an appointment through their website and it worked very well, they called to set up the appointment a couple days later. The pricing was better than all the other places I was looking at the time and service was prompt with no nonsense! I will definitely be back for future tire needs.

I booked an appointment to have my truck repaired for Thursday 8am. I had to wait till 830 for them to have their computers started, then I was told they had booked me for the wrong day... I could wait and they would get me in. After waiting for 2 hours my truck had not moved... I got my keys back, I will not be returning to Mertin Gm in Chilliwack. This scheduling error was their error not mine... Not impressed... MURRAY GM IN ABBOTSFORD IS EXCELLENT AND I WILL MAKE THE DRIVE FROM AGASSIZ TO ABBOTSFORD FROM NOW ON.

My salesperson Peter Dijk was fabulous ???? I was never in doubt of being treated with a clear and honest approach I did not get in my opinion at other dealerships. The pricing was very reasonable when compared with the exact same vehicle at competing dealerships. I saved 5 figures … the finance staff were quick forthright and efficient. Normally I’m a buyer of import vehicles only but I would always recommend Peter and the current staff at Mertin Cheverolet GMC as a great place when you’re looking for the next truck. It was super clean and everyone I spoke to was pleasant to cheerful and it was an easy visit. I was there helping them help a customer with a radio antenna problem.
I got an oil change and they stated I needed new control arms. I got the new control arms but I did not realize that the owner before me had the control arms "replaced" a week ago by Mertin. Because I was a new customer with a different name on the truck they tried to gouge me for unnecessary parts. Quite astonishing that this still goes on. If you really want a dealership to do maintenance go to Abby or Hope.

I purchased my 2017 Silverado at Mertin and the service has been very good to date. However, I had an appointment scheduled to take care of an issue that I had foolishly created, but lucky for me the issue resolved itself. Even though Mertin incurred some costs in preparation for the appointment intended to correct what I had screwed up, they very kindly told me not to worry about it. Now that's after sale service!

Took my car in to get an assessment and the estimate was about 1500$ more than other places. I guess that’s what you get with a dealership but why it just boggles my mind. Went here last week to have a recall done on my brakes now my abs kicks in all the time peddle becomes stiff and is very unsafe. trucks only 6 years old. Service says it has to many km to cover the brake pump even though it's clearly a safety concern on a recalled part it doesn't even warn you of a failure no lights displayed on dash guess I'll keep driving my complaint has been recorded . Just an edit for the owner to see there was no abs issues before and there still is no warning illustrated on the dash but the problem now exists after the recall maybe there should be a sensor installed on these brake pumps to warn of failure? Also thank you for reimbursement for the trans flush. As usual the staff always friendly.
Excellent service. Took a bit but the specialists were able to resolve the issues. Only disappointment was that I didn't get a nice new "Chevy" hat.
Where do I start? I bought a 1/2 ton pickup that I really loved. There were a few small problems that Mertin just couldn't seem to fix, I was patient. There was a recall on the satellite antenna that was replaced after I had a leak inside the truck (remember this). I had a fuel injector replaced with less than 10,000 k's. Then there was the easy up /down tailgate failure.The bushing on the right side of the tailgate was replaced no less than 6 times and still didn't fix the problem for more than a few months before it consistently failed again. I finally gave up and fixed the problem myself with a $60 DeeZee aftermarket tailgate shock. When the warranty expired the antenna began leaking again and I was told to bring it in and they would take off the headliner and dry it out then inspect the antenna and attempt to fix it "IF" that was the problem (it was), all at $169 an hour. They told me they couldn't get it in right away as they had several people already booked with the same problem. I fixed it myself with a little silicone and it hasn't leaked since (the gasket they used for it is defective/insufficient). Finally after 96,000 k's the truck needs the motor rebuilt!!! There's a problem with the lifters that GM knows about (Google it) that causes the engines to fail prematurely. Even though they know this and had already pulled the code they insisted on me bringing the truck in so they could check it over, guess what? It was exactly what I already knew it was. That didn't stop them from charging me the $169.99 an hour shop labour plus $22.44 "shop/environmental" and tax. I have never given any business a rating this bad but unfortunately it is deserved. In all honesty they share this one with GM but that is a poor defense. Like every other time I will have to get the truck fixed somewhere that will do it right. I will then get rid of it and purchase a new truck from anyone but GM and certainly not from a Mertin dealership.

I have always received excellent service at Mertins Service department and today was no exception. I was booked in for a LOF and asked them to check my front brakes because I thought I heard the scream tabs when I braked. They were honest and told me I still had at least another 10,000 kilometres of pad wear left. They could have just told me I needed a brake job and I would have got it done. Thanks for the integrity shown. I will continue to have my truck serviced there.

I called Mertin's From Lillooet BC and explained my issues with my 2019 GMC Sierra. They said to bring it in and they would have a look at it right away. They diagnosed the problem and repaired it that afternoon. It was by far the best service I have ever received from any GM dealer that I have dealt with. Will never use this dealer again. Went for oil change and brake service. They did a wheel alignment and tried to get a transmission flush approved. 53,000kms. Manufacturer advises 72,000 for severe service which this vehicle is not. No issues with pulling or premature tire wear. No concerns identified by the only driver. When asked why the wheel alignment ,answer was, because it was approved by fleet. Report states no adjustment required. What rationale was used to get approval?? Friend has a vehicle there for 2 1/2 month’s waiting for a rear differential repair. 2020 3500HD. No parts. We can build you a new rear end but we don’t have the parts to fix yours. No idea when we might get parts. Seems to me if you can build a new one, you have parts. Suggest you check the manufacturer service schedule, not the dealership. Would use a minus star but that option not available. Have three GMs that will go elsewhere.

I purchased my 2018 rally 2 silverado in December of 2017. They have always been on point with great service! Would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting a GM vehicle! I've been to alot of dealerships over the years and Mertin definitely is A+ in my books!

First time there. Nice washrooms. Didn't have to shower after talking to the salesmen. Truck battery died and they jumped it for me! Definitely will be going back.
Staff have always been incredibly polite and awesome to deal with. However there way to busy to provide fast reliable service. Oil change took over an hour and that was with a scheduled appointment and no complimentary wash. I have learned to hate and love mertins. If it wasn't for the staff at the booking counter and service counter I wouldn't recommend.

I have purchased 3 vehicles over the past several years from Mertin. Each purchase was a comfortable event. This last purchase is a new Chevy Cruze a good product. The Service Department the general manager and service writers have treated me as an absolute nothing. I have never experienced such a feeling of lack of attention or caring from any car dealership in my entire life. Mertin could not pay me enough to change my opinion and buy another car from them. I believe that the only reason they would now contact me is because not to improve their service but to just give them more stars. Needless to say I would have enjoyed further business with Mertin GM but sadly after all of these years I will now merely walk away.

First class buying experience 6 times in the last 3 years. A place like no other. Honest staff worked with me on each purchase to insure I got what I needed.
Our 4 year old Silverado had water leaking into the cab after having unexplained condensation on the inside of the vehicle since new, it was slow to become apparent as we garage kept it. When we took it to Mertin to be repaired, it was at a cost of $572 to us. When they booked the appointment, they did not inform us that it would be a 4 hour minimum appointment and did not offer us a courtesy car. When we arrived they had no courtesy cars available and had to pay $90 for a rental car. Had we been informed at the time of booking, we would have been able to make alternate arrangements to avoid the rental car costs. While they “discounted” the labour rate, it did not make up for the inconvenience. The leaking was due to the OnStar antenna leaking. When I looked further into the issue, GM had published a Customer Satisfaction Bulletin in August of 2015 (Bulletin 15155) recognizing the issue of the leaking OnStar antenna on 2015 Chevrolet Silverado Crew Cabs and that affected vehicles would be repaired. Mertin explained that they were not able to do anything about the cost of the issue and that we would have to take it up with GM Canada. As it is out of warranty, the GM Canada case manager stated that they could do nothing for us and that we were expected to cover the cost. I asked to speak to a manager at GM Canada, Sherry answered. When I tried to explain the issue: a 4 year old, $40,000 truck leaking and a service bulletin recognizing the problem and if it was her truck, would she be happy? Her response was, “Ma’am, it’s not my truck” and there was nothing that they could do. She said that the issue should be taken up with the dealership and not GM Canada. It’s frustrating having both parties saying that they are not responsible for the problem. GM is not taking responsibility for a quality issue that a customer should not be responsible for repairing prematurely when it is obviously a manufacturing/production defect. This is my second GM truck that has been riddled with issues and sadly my last. Very disappointed in the customer care and quality that is just not there compared to other makes available.

Well, after feeling like I was bent over from a small dealership, and thought I was stuck with a horrible interest rate and finace company.. Yury core and mertin GM not only helped me, but put me into the most perfect suv that me and my family could ask for. No rushing or pushing to buy, I knew I was in a bind and was honest with them from the beginning. And they blew my mind away. Now! I’m in a much newer suv, lower km, more space, and it has everything I wanted and more!! If anyone needs a new or new to them car. Mertin GM is the place to go!

Went to mertin gm for an oil change. Was told I should change rear shocks front wheel hub and a recall for a air bag. I made an appointment for the next week to have the work done.I arrived for my appt.After the tech finished the work he drove the truck back out of the shop he informed Jeremy that one of the codes was on,they told me later that the truck was unsafe to drive. I can assure you there was nothing wrong with the truck when I brought it there. I bring my vehicle to a g.m. dealer trusting they will know how to fix g.m. products,however Im not of that opinion any more.Over 400 bucks and 2 days later I got the vehicle back.They did however give me a rental.Do I think they maliciously messed up my vehicle ,of course not.However nothing will convince me that when they were doing the initial repairs something did not get screwed up.I really feel that I can no longer give Mertin g.m. my business,which is too bad because I liked the service there.

Spend 55k on an 2018 Elevation... Head liner falls down 6 months in.... Manifold goes on A/C.....$1200 Transmission goes at 118k km. 17k more km and I’m out another 10k Now louvers and radiator gone at 133km and another $2500.... Dealership washes their hands of it.... Beware. I’ll be in a Dodge or Ford next Friday.

Mertin GM is the absolute worst dealership I have ever had deal with, almost every department shows you that all they care about is getting your vehicle out the door. The sales department listened to how I wanted everything to be laid out in the contract of my lease, yet years later I find out that it is not setup in the way I want. I was forced to buy out the vehicle. The service department wouldn't fix my vehicle under warrenty since they do not even know their own warranties. Then later I got my transmission fixed under warranty but 1 month after the issue came back, they want me to approve to pay for then to check into their own mistake. They do not warrenty their own workmanship and have zero idea what customer service means. One time I got charge 169.90 for them to change a turn signal light bulb, yes just to change the bulb... Mertin GM was nothing but a battle for them to stand behind their product, all they care about is your money. I was completely amazed that so many different people in Mertin GM were so unaccountable for their actions, if they mess up you pay for it. The best thing that ever happened was finally being able to never go back ever again. Save yourself the trouble and never buy from Mertin GM, Chilliwack.

So I brought my 2020 traverse in for a leak in the back doors and they told me it was poor design of the car and there was nothing they could do. So I asked if I am supposed to just continue to pay for my $40,000 vehicle with less then 7000 kms on it and just let it leak? And the service guy said yes. There is nothing he can do. Terrible service with no attempt to try and rectify the problem.
Service done on time and everything done as requested. Just moved to the area, this was first experience. Will go back for sure.
They performed the work exactly as I was told. My truck was repaired and returned to be in a very timely fashion for a reasonable price. Everyone I spoke to was friendly and to the point. Will go there for future repairs.

A great place, going in on the first time looking for information no Problem. Everyone was happy to help My second time there and brakes on car checked, they took off pads and showed me what they looked like. I appreciated that , they told me maybe my cabin filter needs changing but never showed the the filter. Two weeks later I had to change the cabin filter myself because it was very dirty. I have read a lot of very good reviews for this dealership and spoke to the service manager. Sorry guys I,m still not sure what to think.
I needed to have the door lock fixed on my Aveo. I had never taken any vehicle to a dealership mechanic because I was concerned that the price would exceed what a small mechanic would charge me. Not only was it cheaper than I expected to pay, but the service I received was amazing. Very helpful, very organized, and very easy. It was an extremely positive experience.

This is my first time writing a Google review, and probably my only time, but I wanted to take this extra step to tell potential customers of Mertin GM about what a wonderful dealership this is! We were recommended to Mertin by a friend a couple months ago. We had a very specific list of "wants" for our new truck purchase that, I'll be the first to admit, made us somewhat tough clients to please. We weren't willing to settle for less then what we had in mind, and because we didn't NEED a new vehicle, we were also prepared to wait as long as necessary to fulfill our criteria. A salesman of 8 years at the dealership, Surinder Mann, agreed to help us find our perfect fit. He searched province-wide for us and stayed in touch almost daily throughout the process. We found him to be both professional and friendly, very easy to talk to, and up-front as well. Amazingly enough, he ended up locating a truck for us that was en-route from the factory and headed to another dealership in BC. It was exactly the one we had been looking for and we were thrilled when he was able to secure the vehicle as ours. He told us it would be 3 more weeks before the truck arrived at the dealership. During that time, Surinder also facilitated a specialty order for after market rims (ordered and delivered from California on time!), and was very accommodating of the extras we wanted put onto the truck or taken off the truck before we came to pick it up. We were pleasantly surprised when our truck arrived at the dealership almost a week earlier then promised, and was ready to go for us days ahead of schedule. Which brings me to the other outstanding individual at the dealership, of whom we have the highest praise, Sean Elmont. He is a Sales Manager at Mertin. Throughout the process we were also in touch with him on a regular basis, and for someone who is so extremely busy, his replies or follow-up phone calls were always with an incredibly fast turnaround from our initial ones. He is very personable and refreshingly honest, two qualities we certainly admire in anyone we'd like to purchase a vehicle from. When the day came to pick up our new vehicle, we were again surprised walking into Mertin.... it was sparkling clean (even the bathrooms were spotless and beautiful!), with both a large play centre and an iPad available for our 6 year old daughter to use during our 2 hours there. We felt immediately at ease. In the end, our vehicle was even less then the already low price they had initially promised us, which for my husband sealed the deal that we would be Mertin customers for life going forward. Please, if you're considering a new vehicle purchase, you can feel VERY confident about this dealership and the excellent service of both Sean Elmont and Surinder Mann. We are thrilled with our new truck and can't thank them enough.

The first few times here were smooth and the people were friendly but recently, not impressed. When they last phoned me and I answered, I heard one of the reception personnel saying some things about me not answering the phone to another coworker before she realized I had picked up. Also, they added weights to our brand new tires after us repeatedly telling them to not do this. The tires were brand new. So now we have to wait the whole weekend for a mistake they made because no one seems to have any urgency there to fix mistakes.
Took my car into the body shop for repairs from an accident. It looks perfect and was a day early and nice and clean.
Only 1 star because I had to choose a star. Imo This company should be - stars. Went there with $10000 down. Looking for an suv. We borrowed my brothers car (1996 lincoln town car) because we had sold our truck and 5th wheel so had no vehicle. We told the salesman we had $ down and would like to finance about $10000. The salesman told us that they had nothing for us. My husband went to use the washroom and the salesperson said that was the only thing here that they could offer us. We went to Mitsubishi dealer and got a 2014 outlander and financed there.
When I had issues with my new truck, I took it to Mertin. They set me up with a rental vehicle and diagnosed the issues with my truck. Top notch customer service. Thanks Jarred for all your help.

I understand that they had to close because of the orders from Fraser Health if they had an outbreak of COVID however it would have been nice to get notified that our appointment for a service had to be rebooked instead of my going there only to find them closed.

It was a good experience. I purchased tires 2 years ago and they checked them for leaks as they were losing air. They were polite, checked my tires, filled them up and gave me a free car wash and my bill was 0. Excellent service.
Service was prompt both checking in and picking up. Staff were friendly! Checked to see if any recalls were outstanding! I needed a spare key for my 2009 Pontiac Vibe for a total cost of $367 which I consider to be outrageous! $170 labour (1.4 hrs) $135 parts ( for a key)

Was quick and efficient service! I didn’t appreciate how you learn of extra fees that crop up at time to pay. Like how my $300 bill (before tax) became $380?!?! Once you break it down, there’s a shop fee of $40...what was the $300 for then?! Why not be clear and up front of ALL the fees...don’t be sneaky. Be transparent. I don’t mind paying for quality service, but I do mind being unpleasantly surprised at the till! Otherwise service was great!

Terrible customer service. They overfilled my tires with air and wrote on the paper they only filled it to 35 and it was at 40. All the other tires were at 35. I asked them to take a quick look at the transfer case which they said over the phone would be ok just let them know when we get there, when we got there it was of course a different story and they wouldn’t have time to do it. They staff needs more customer service education. I wish there was a no star option. We also never got a call from them to say that our vehicle was done, when showed up just on time as they were parking our suv back in the stall, when we got in the guy said “oh he just went on lunch he would have called you after he was done his lunch”, so what’s that? An hour? Half an hour? We have a 16 month old, it was raining, and this is our only vehicle. Definitely not considerate at all of other people.
