I was on a cruise that stopped in town. This was walking distance to the cruise ship, had excellent personal service, and I first hand observed customers of other rental companies learning that they had been deceived; the other company doesn't actually have a location nearby and they would have to wait for a shuttle. Meanwhile I was in a car within 15 minutes of walking off the ship. The family that owns the company was very pleasant, offered to give me a ride back to the ship. The car was clean and new. I really appreciate small businesses that run more professionally than the big guys.

Great experience. Tolga picked us up at our campground about 30 minutes away from his place of business at the Delta Hotel on the waterfront. What a great starting place to tour PEI. Our car was brand new. His rates were good and he was very personable, making you feel like a friend. He had lots of suggestions on places to visit. After touring PEI for 4 days we returned the car early so we could have dinner and drinks which gave us a designated driver back to our campground after their 6:30 pm closing. Thanks for the great service!

This past weekend my wife and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary in PEI. We had the pleasure of meeting Tolga and his wife, Özlem, who by far exceeded our expectations. The level of customer service and personal accommodations were amazing. We struggled to find a car rental and Tolga was able to provide us with a brand new, clean and fuel efficient Toyota Camry. He even negotiated a fair rate and gave us an extra day to sight see and explore the island. The pick up and drop off service saved us money and upon our return Özlem stopped at a local beach and allowed us to enjoy the ocean. What company does that…such a thoughtful gesture! In my previous career, I worked for Enterprise and their level of care and customer service did not even come close to what I experienced with PEI Car Rental. Actually, when I called Enterprise and spoke to a representative in PEI, they completely dismissed me and stated that there will be no cars available until September. After my amazing experience with PEI Car Rental, I highly recommend their service. Thank you Tolga and Özlem for making my stay in PEI so much more memorable. Great customer service. I don't want to say anything bad but it's getting out of control expensive to rent a car in Canada. In Florida it's 15 to 20 bucks a day but here in PEI $250 or more per day, we can all see the prices these days online. Just be prepared for cost. When we rented here the owner was very nice and gave us their BMW to rent at a Toyota rental rate as they had a shortage of cars . Other than this we can't complain except for price per day and that's everywhere now across the globe apparently. It was a beautiful car to drive and was very well taken care of.

During our cruise, we had a stop at Charlottetown in September 2018 and rented a vehicle from the PEI Car Rental. The office location is very convenient, practically right by the cruise terminal. The owners Mr. and Mrs. Toprak greeted me with a smile and completed the paperwork very quickly and handed me the key. The car was a brand new Toyota Camry as per the photo below. It was clean, filled up with gas and ready to go. Our 4-5 hour drive with frequent stops was very smooth and we returned the car before its scheduled time. The owners asked if everything went okay with the car. Their rates are very reasonable. It was a great pleasure to do business with the PEI Car Rental. I highly recommend this local PEI business for anyone looking for a rental car at PEI. You won't be disappointed. Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Toprak for your superb service.

Efficient friendly service and a good price. No hassles, no up-selling of features/insurance like the big multi-nationals do. We rented two cars both of which were very new. This is an island-owned business. The family who runs the business are lovely people and the day we rented cars the whole family were there and helping out.

I had booked a car rental with discount car and rentals but i guess when booking my reservation over the phone the company does not communicate with there company.Needless to say theatre informed me that there was no car for me, I went online and booked with PEI car rental. The very next morning they called me informing me the car I booked was not available but they had another and would be ready by 10am. They weren't able to match the price of the car but did give me a lower price for the SUV that I rented. I highly recommend this company to anyone going to visit PEI for a couple hours or couple of days they were absolutely amazing to deal with and when I come back to PEI I will for sure rent with them again. Thank you guys for the amazing experience.

Can't say enough about the top-shelf service. We came to town on a major holiday weekend and our reservation at one of the "big guys" got cancelled on us at the last minute. The owner got me a car with a single evening of notice and saved our plans for the day in PEI! Car was super nice too, 2018 Camry and the rates were very competitive with no hidden fees or limits. I rent a lot of cars for work, and this was the easiest and best customer service I've ever received when renting a car. Great husband and wife team with a nice, convenient location by the cruise terminal.

Booked a car for a 5 day vacation in Sept. Booking online was essy, a quote was emailed to me after a few days and I sent a non-refundable deposit. We were picked up at the Charlottoetown airport (for a fee). Everything was going smoothly and after a quick discussion about the charges for the 5 days we were eager to start our vacation. The car was what was promised and clean. Later that day we were charged for the car rental, I noticed that the amount was for the entire 5 days- the deposit wasn't taken into account. I tried contacting the company by both text and email to get a breakdown of the bill thinking maybe I had misunderstood the quote but I have recieved no response to date. This combined with the fact that we were never told about the fee for being picked up at the airport makes me hesitant to book with this company again.

Great experience booking and renting with PEI car rental. The proprietor offered to pick us up and drop us of at YYG or at our hotel: very nice. We had the use of a practically new Toyota for over a week. The car drove nicely and just sipped fuel. We drove all over the island (see photos), and only filled up twice. The rental was very inexpensive. You certainly get your money's worth here. If you're travelling to PEI, I highly recommend PEI car rental. Great people, great service, local company, and excellent cars.

I cancelled a booking with them 12 days ahead of the pickup date and they siphoned out 287$ from me with the excuse that they don't refund advances, never heard of such a thing in todays world where companies provide you a refund even after 15 days. Stay away from these folks

What a great experience I had with PEI car rental. Customer service was fantastic! The process and paper was quick and easy. I ended up having to extend my trip by a few days and they were very accommodating. I submitted an online request for a booking after speaking with them over the phone. I never heard back from them. Several days later I called and they had no record of it. I resubmitted the request was told they would get back to me the next morning. It was not until a day later that I heard anything and got a confirmation. I tried calling multiple times and always was told to callback because they are busy, or got a busy line. The next day I finally got them on the phone and was notified that since I hadn't called back in 24 hours they cancelled my reservation and no vehicles were available anymore. Trying to work with these people was a horrible experience. I am honestly relieved that I won't be giving them my business or credit card information. Every time I spoke with them over the phone it was noisy and unprofessional. Unsure how they got so many positive reviews on here, but I would stay away from them if you are relying on having a car.
