The service was great! Kenia was pleasant and thorough. The one minor thing I had an issue with was that I was told I would be contacted initially by text, which I was but when I replied to the text to ask a question, I received a phone call as a response instead of a text. I’m not supposed to take personal calls at work.

The entire experience, from start to finish, was exactly how buying a car should be at every dealership. I felt like I was dealing with [people] selling cars, not salespeople trying to upsell you on useless or excessive features. I was never forced into a vehicle I wasn't interested in, and the additional features I did purchase were also owned by the staff I dealt with and came highly recommended. I bought a used Kia from the dealership that turned out to be an unreliable car, which isn't necessarily their fault. However, their maintenance team is awful. They've lied to me multiple times about costs and about things being covered by warranty, then when I show up it's not covered and significantly more expensive than expected. I ask every time for them to call me before doing any repairs after the diagnosis. On two occasions they did it anyways and never even called to tell me the vehicle was finished. There is clearly a major communication gap between the mechanics and the desk staff. On multiple occasions they've charged me labor to fix a rattling noise in the car, except it's still there and I don't think they actually took the vehicle for a drive or they would know that. The sales team was decent when I purchased the car, but their maintenance department is awful. Would definitely not recommend. I only continued going to them because it was "highly recommended" with the extended warranty on the vehicle. I will never go back, now that the warranty is expired.
Love this company! This is my 3rd Kia vehicle. I have never had any problems with any of my vehicles. I highly recommend John MacGuigan, his customer service and knowledge in the vehicles is top notch.

From the moment I walked through the doors, Dave and Andy never missed a beat. I had only driven my current vehicle for a little less than a year, and was uncertain if I could even try to trade. I was not dealing with perfect credit, but spent the last year never missing a payment at a higher interest rate than I wanted. Right away, Dave understood my situation and sat me with Andy who went through the options and possibilities. I let him work with what he needed, and in 2 days, he came back, had my interest rate dropped by 8%, found a vehicle for me to look at, test drove it, and loved it. The day I was to pick it up, when they were buffing it, they found scratches on the engine bonnet, and instead of just passing it of to me in that shape, they asked for a few extra days and had it painted for me. The experience was so professional and I felt they went above and beyond to make sure my experience was nothing but fantastic. So, if you are looking to buy or trade, honestly, go see Dave and let him work with Andy and get you in a vehicle you deserve. FANTASTIC service from the very beginning!

In 2014 we bought a Kia Rio, as a second vehicle, from Discover Kia. We had such a good experience with both the car and the dealership that we decided to go with Kia once again but this time we traded in our truck and jumped right in to a Kia Soul EV. We absolutely love the car. The experience was stress free and a the sales team, specifically Paul, was outstanding. I highly recommend checking them out.

The sales staff were a bit behind the times when it came to contact and negotiations via email. In the end we got the vehicle we wanted at the price we wanted but it felt like more of a struggle than it should have been. The service department however treated my wife like she couldn't possibly know what she's talking about because she is a woman. We have since been getting all our maintenance done at another shop.
I drove from Halifax, Nova Scotia to this dealership to buy an 'as traded' VW Tiguan. I did not expect perfect being as is but prior to making the trip I called and asked a few specific questions: How are the tires Was there a spare key and is there any rust or bubbles in the paint. The description of the tires and key were fair but I was told NO VISABLE RUST after a walk around. Well, after a 3.5 hour drive there, I was very dissapointed to see that it was the worst rusted Tiguan I've ever seen (and I used to work for VW) with very obvious visable rust. 3 out of 4 doors were rusted/bubbled badily around the door handles, the passenger side rear 1/4 panel was bubbled, the hatch had a rust bubble, and worst of all, two large holes in the drivers side rocker panel - completly through. Also multiple other issues such as no sound from stereo, clunking when driving, the 4wd/4motion was broken (bad haldex pump), and more. Thanks for wasting $100 in fuel, $50 for the bridge, and a vacation day from work. The mechanical issues I can understand being as is, but when asked about being any rust, my dog could tell this was an issue on this one. The only positives I can say about the experience are the people were friendly.

I want to personally thank Kenia from Discover Kia in Charlottetown PEI for making what could have been a very frustrating experience one that I will look back on with a smile. My vehicle was damaged during a vacation trip and had to be towed. As a Nova Scotia resident, this was at first a very frustrating experience that left me feeling stranded. Kenia assured me things would be dealt with quickly and quick they certainly were. She got my car in the garage right away, and lent my wife and I a rental vehicle to use while we waited. Over all an incredible experience and I attribute that 100% to the amazing staff at this dealership, specifically Kenia who kept me calm during the entire experience.
Should not be selling cars. No customer service when u walk in. U have to find somebody to help. I had to wait for a sales Person who was on lunch for 30 min. He called me 3 hours after I requested a call back.
I lost my key to my van and needed a replacement key. After taking my van in, kia called telling me I needed a new head light. I didn't have the extra funds for a new head light so I turned down having them replace it for me. When I picked up my van, they did a oil change, replaced my head light, fixed a recall, and the price ended up being less then my original quote for just the key. And when I hoped into my van, my right wiper was broke when I took my van in, they fixed that to! Which was a added bonus since it was raining this day. Kia went above and beyond expectations!!
I was contacted immediately when the thermostat came in. Installation was efficient and I was contacted when my vehicle was ready (I walked home to wait). Everything went smoothly and the staff were friendly and respectful!

I waited in the customer lounge for two and a half hours for an oil change and rear brakes. It would be helpful if a loaner car was offered as I don't live in Charlottetown and can't walk very well.
Bought a used truck for $34,000 in April 2019. Was told truck was in such good shape that dealer just had to change oil and put new tires on truck. Noticed $299 charge for tire warranty at time of purchase. Thought it was expensive but truck had new tires... Fast forward to March 2020. Found out from my mechanic tires were not new (manufactured in 09/16) were getting worn and had cracks between the treads. Tires were garbage. Went back to KIA to try and resolve. After arguing with Used sales car manager. I accepted KIA pay for 2 tires and I pay for 2 at cost... KIA charged me $580 for 2 tires (not a deal) and refused to refund me the $299 charge for the tire warranty that did not cover anything... I will never shop here again and will tell everyone to avoid this dealership. Watch for the $299 charge on your bill of sale folks... It's nothing but a money grab/scam Disgusting....

When my car had an issue return, Ron & the team were fantastic to get my car back in, and get me a loaner car since the solution was going to span past the start of a storm. When I had the kids with me to return the loaned car, and pick ours back up, Ron and the team helped make the change of cars seats back over easy, by letting me put them into my car and let it warm up, before signing off on the work. And they were trustworthy to fix what was under warranty, without any hesitation. The details make the world of difference. Thanks for the excellent service Ron & team.

Was there for an oil change had booked 2 weeks before..when I got there didn't have my booking but said they would fit me in..waited an hour and car was still not in bay..after ten more minutes car was just being taken in..went out to see how much longer and said she wasn't sure..I had another appointment but didn't want to have to come back ..so I cancelled my appointment. Ten minutes later she came to say it was done...not sure if they even did oil change as it should have taken longer then that...got paper with all the check marks saying good ..which wasn't true or they would have seen wiper was bad and my tires are worn..need new before next inspection which they told me the last service time..Think they just wanted to get me out the door as I wasn't pleased with service that day..

I had gotten my van 8 months old the paint came off the rocker panels and they refuse to fix it because it has 38,000 not 20,00 or less kilometers
They where ever nice , understanding, kind ,not pushy, and helpful . And they explain everything out nice so we could understand it . And when we picked up our new car they helped use to get our car insurance on it ,and then they helped my husband ,make sure we knew everything about the car . I like to say thank you so much . I bought a used Honda CRV for my wife at this Fraud Dealer and it wasn't MVI'd and I wasn't told this. When I took it to a mechanic it needed $2200 of work on top of the $9500 I paid for the vehicle. Discover a Toyota or a Honda before you go to KIA it's a #hitbag car and dealership. When I called they just said the sale is final and hung up the phone. Don't ever deal with these low lifes

I have to say Charlotettown Kia really came through - my 2013 Kia Optima could not be driven anymore, went into Limp mode throwing a Knock Sensor code. They told me to drop it off and they would look into it. In the meantime they gave me a 2021 Forte to drive. After various updates on the ECU they determined my engine needed to be replaced. So in less than a month the engine was shipped, received, and installed and they had me back in my old girl - at NO COST, all under a warranty recall campaign regardless of the 158,000 kms on it. Even with them working short staffed they really came through - Charlottetown Kia, you ROCK !!!
I took my car in for service maintenance and asked about detailing and how to update my navigation. The update was done and had the Silver detailing and they did a fantastic job. So far I am very impressed with the service at Discover Kia. My car is just a year old but when the detailing was done it looked like a brand new car. Love my Kia Sorento. The staff were excellent especially Kenia.
I visited this dealer to get my oil changed in my 2021 Sorento as I had travelled from Ontario. They were extremely well organized, friendly, helpful, fast, and on top of this much cheaper than my own Ontario dealership.
Unfortunately this morning my experience at KIA wasn’t the best I’ve had previously. I had gone in to get a oil filter changed, and instead of it being a quick change, it ended up taking an hour and 20 minutes. I was in no rush so I sat around but didn’t expect that delay. When it came time to pay, I was then questioned by the young man if I was actually the one who bought the car, and then was in disbelief that I actually was the one who bought it. Under no circumstances I believe should someone be questioned who bought a vehicle, whether they did or not. It is no ones business as to who bought the vehicle that is being serviced. I myself did purchase this car at KIA in May, and I had no problem letting this man know I was indeed the one who bought the car. I wish I didn’t have to be so negative in this review but unfortunately I felt the need to say this.

We wish we could give 6 stars for the amazing service Tyler provided us while buying our new truck. He worked very hard up until the day we picked up our truck to get us the perfect truck that worked for our family and figured out all the steps needed for us to get it back home to Ontario which was something the Chevrolet here in town couldn’t be bothered to do. We would highly recommend buying a truck or any vehicle through Kia since they can bring over any vehicle from across the maritimes in the matter of a couple days for an amazing rate. Definitely an amazing dealership and Tyler is an amazing sales person to work with!

Bought a new vehicle from Discover Kia for the first time a couple of months ago. A great group to work with. No high-pressure sales tactics. Both Tyler in sales and Don the business manager were great to work with. They provided all the information I needed without pressuring me to buy what I didn’t need. Tyler was extremely helpful and he is very knowledgeable about all the new technology in their vehicles!

I purchased two vehicles from Kia. I went back a second time because of the service I received with my first vehicle. They were great as is reflected in the older reviews you may have read. Unfortunately the quality service and friendly atmosphere that brought me back is no longer there. First appointment they left the radiator cap loose. Next day cold air coming from the vents and coolant all over the engine. Called and was told I had on my A/C and that's why I was getting cold air. I asked to take it in to check because the coolant was empty (I did fill it) but I couldn't get an appointment for at least a week. I had to call the salesman and with his help I was able to take my vehicle in the next day and they checked it over and offered me a free oil change. Second appointment oil and tire change. Booked for 9 told it would 1.5 hrs. Came back at that time and was told it was not finished but shouldn't be much longer, even though I did see it in the parking lot but I found out later that's because they hadn't taken it in yet. I was then told I needed new brakes but I said no and then I was told if I didn't get them done other parts would need to be replaced costing more money. After 3.5 hours of waiting they changed the tires and oil. The oil change was not free, I was charged but at that point I just wanted to leave. I took my vehicle to another mechanic to check the brakes and was told one brake pad was a little worn but they did not NEED to be replaced right away. I will be purchasing a new vehicle and will not be back to Kia. Contacted the dealership just to make them aware and received an email apologizing for the experience. Looks the same as the responses on here.

Great service and great customer service. Friendly people and very professional. I made the appointment to get my winter tires to get changed to my summer tires. I took the wrong tires by accident to get changed and had to go back home and get the right tires. I felt really bad because I didn't want to mess up their schedule but they were extremely great about it and did not make me feel bad at all. The lady was very knowledgeable, patient and respectful. This makes me so happy, and reinstills the reason why I chose to go with Kia in the first place.

Good quick service but was never explained about pricing or nor did they get me to sign a paper saying what services I was agreeing to. When it was finished I was told my car was now Synthetic oil which cost more.

Took my 3 year old soul in for an oil change and MVI. Quoted me a ridiculous amount and told me I needed it for my MVI or I wouldn’t pass. Changed the story when I complained. Only actually needed brake pads. So I asked for after market pads. They put factory on anyway. After I left I noticed my “Next service due” sticker says 01/21…I had it in in July of 2021…highly doubt I will ever be back.
I bought a used KIA Soul. I love it but soooo much has gone wrong on it. The Warranty has put a new motor, fixed wiring, and a bunch of other odds and ends. Without it, I would be walking everywhere right now. I have only owned it for a little over 2 years and have put 1500 plus in repairs since the warranty ran out 2 months ago. The service department has looked after me and feels my pain. You can't get better service and sales. I recommend anyone buying a used one to get the EXTENDED Warranty. If sales needs a worst case scenario for recommending the warranty... I am it!
