I purchased a 2008 Smart fortwo from A&S. It, of course was to be certified. First time I took my son out for a drive, he couldn't get out of the passenger seat. The door would not open from the inside. I could open the door from the outside but no amount of trying would open it from the inside. This is a safety issue. I took the door panels off and lubed everything inside. Now the door opens without any problems. OK, minor issue one solved. Second issue I only found out later. When stopped behind a car with a chrome bumper, I noticed that the front right turn signal light came on when I braked. Again, a safety issue as this would confuse other drivers. After much tracing of wires, we found that the front right light was spliced into the right rear light. This was done in such a way as to be hidden. It took many hours to find this. Once found it was an easy fix to rewire properly. (I wonder what else has been tampered with). This is what I can back yard mechanics, not something you expect from a professional shop. Next I noticed that even after turning off the key, I could hear a low hum. I put it up on the ramps and tried to find the source of the sound. Low and behold, the fuel pump was running all the time. Upon checking the SAM (when the fuel pump relay resides), I found the relay damaged and that the SAM had been opened before (3 screws that hold it together were missing). Another safety issue as this could have caused the pump to over heat and cause a fire. According to the Carfax, this car had never been in an accident. At least not in this province or at least not reported. Further inspection of many of the front parts show otherwise. The right front headlight was just hanging on by one screw. The other two tabs where broken and the front right fender has a crack in it and the wheel well plastic was broken, so was the underside plastic. Everything points to a hit on the right front with a crude repair job done. Needless to say, I will never purchase another car from A&S.

I found the car for fair price, with history of the car certified and extended warranty included. Car is working pretty good and the most important the dealer offered excellent service.
Had a horrible experience with this dealership. I traded my pristine Honda fit for a Honda element They promised to have the brakes fixed and spark plugs replaced. Within 6 months of purchasing the vehicle, my mechanic told me all of the breaks had NOT been replaced and were grinding against the metal. 11 months after I bought the car, I found out there was a hole in the piston of the engine and could not be fixed. I called the office and they were very rude and blunt and gave me no money back or any compensation what so ever. I would never recommend and never purchase a vehicle from them!! Stay away from this place! **In response: 1) I called back in June 2019, 6 months after purchasing the vehicle when I found out from my local Honda service centre that the brakes were never fixed. Why did you tell me all brakes were done when they were not? That is a safety issue that could've resulted in serious personal damages. Once the engine went, I only had 1 diagnostic reading which the mechanic told me it COULD be spark plugs which why I called again. If you lied about fixing the brakes you could've lied about the spark plugs as well. 2) the piston in the engine went 11 months after I purchased the vehicle. Not over 1 year. 3) every car dealership and even my own trusted mechanic was appalled that you refused to do anything about the vehicle. I had my Honda fit for 8 years with no issues. Cars are not intended to last 11 months.

They treated us like Royalty prior to the purchase, very friendly. After the purchase they were rude and unwilling to help fix the brakes, so were are in the process of having to pay and get them fixed elsewhere. We would never go back there.
Also is really easy to chat with, and has a great selection of cars. I had some minor problems with my car after purchasing, but he took care of everything quickly and with ease. I will be back and I recommend him. He is honest and transparent with the cars, and I highly value this.
Called the dealer in the morning checking if a car was still available. Told them that I would come at the end of the day and to call me in the meantime if the car was being sold (I'm an hour drive away). Get there, car is sold....

Great place to get a car if your looking for affordable and reliable
I bought a 2008 jeep patriot from thos place on may 12th 2020. There was an issue with it before i even left the city which he assured me would be fixed. When i got it back it still didnt feel right. Todays date is june 24th which is 42 days after i purchased the jeep(keep in mind he had it for an additional week to "repair" it). The jeep became scary to drive between the wheel bearings going and worn out bushings in the rear. I took it to my local machanic and he told me the bushings were worn out 2 bearings were gone and the subframe is almost rotted right out in the rear. I called aldo and he was very quick to dimiss what my machanic told me and told me i was passed the 30 days after purchase date(keep in mind he had it for an additional week). My machanic told me there was no way that this vehicle would pass a certification legally 40 days ago. I highly recommend you stay clear of this crook. He's a con man plain and simple. I hope the mto can read this and investigate this crook and take away his licence to do safeties. I dont know how this guy sleeps at night knowing he is selling garbage to people that could possibly injure or kill people. He obviously has no regard for human life.

Be cautious here. I didnt get to the buying process. The reason why is I went in to check out a few cars and the year advertised was wrong or the ins were wrong. When I questioned the salesman. He kept changing the story and said someone kept making mistakes. It was too many "mistakes" for me.

An excellent place to buy a car. Aldo was very helpful . He found me financing quickly even with a so so credit rating. The vehicle I bought is 2 years newer than another one I looked at and was also almost half the price. I also got an extended warranty included for no charge unlike other places where you have to pay for it. I love the Ford Escape it is exactly what I wanted.

2nd review, in response to A&S. 1st warning, to any potential customers, GET EXACT DETAILS FROM THESE PEOPLE, MAKE CERTAIN TO GET SPECIFICS IN WRITING! NEW, doesn't mean NEW here, in many cases it means junk yard new. There are a multitude of issues why this dealership lost a good review, to many incidentals to go into details, lack of trust due to dishonesty and half kept promises to myself/friend whom purchased a vehicle from A&S Prestige Auto. Due to an error on our end after our initial post regarding the tires, it was discovered there were in fact 4 of the same brand of tires on the car. For this error, we sincerely apologize to A&S auto, sadly that doesn't change the fact how unhappy we are and unsafe the vehicle remains to drive. I made it VERY clear that there would be 3 children, ages 2, 4, 7, riding in this car, safety was a top priority! We were promised "NEW" tires, we didn't purchase an expensive car, $4,000. weren't expecting top of the line tires, but both terribly disappointed with the cheap, unsafe made in China tires put on the car. Several days after purchasing the car, I texted the staff that sold us the car, I went into the dealership, spoke directly to the office-manager to share how unsafe the car was, that there was extreme lack of traction on dry/wet pavement going only 20 to 40 klm. while braking, accelerating, and turning corners. I shared w her I had taken the car to a reputable business that only deals with professionally purchasing/installing rims/tires, they informed that the tires put on at your dealership were unsafe, poor quality. After multiple expressed concerns regarding safety concerns w the poor quality tires, manager stated she was glad I came in to speak w her, stating she'd personally speak w the mechanic to check about better quality tires on my behalf. I picked up the car, no surprise to find the exact same brand of tires still on the car. May 14, 2019, AGAIN, almost in another accident, while driving with the promised "better quality tires", at 25 klm in 2nd gear, on dry pavement, the tires were spinning out not grabbing the road. Spent the afternoon going to dealerships, discussing w professionals, A&S response for the unsafe tires, was for me to get bigger rims, it was stated by others at 4 reputable dealerships, the exact same thing, that the rim size was not going to fix the issue, it was the unsafe tires. A&S, Please, present facts if your going to sling mud at your customers. For the record we purchased a $4,000.00 car, not $3,000. 2ndly, the back handed statement, IE: the short in payment, perhaps one should tell the TRUTH and the real story! The short, was mostly due to your error, ie: cost of stickers for the plates, cost was more than you anticipated. Myself/friend, BOTH offered MORE THAN ONCE to pay the approximate $75.00 short. We were told not to worry because of all the inconveniences/short ends on your dealerships part. I pulled out my wallet at that time, offered to pay, Robert offered to wire payment, both told no... not to worry, such lack of honor on your end! If all this isn't bad enough, I was informed today by a mechanic that looked under the hood, (the cars been making loud creaking noises), the alternator we were promised was going to be replaced with a NEW one, more lies, was a USED one from the wreckers. Several other promises made, half kept, I was guilt tripped when attempting to address issues. I allowed my judgement to be clouded thinking I had made a friend there. I attempted to be gracious, compromising things, kept my mouth shut to make peace regarding these problems. A painful lesson learned on my part. Suffice to say, there has been extreme lack of trust created, lost respect and credibility with this individual/dealership. I will be returning this vehicle for a full refund. Please have a certified check/money order made out ASAP, inform me when it's ready, I will be returning the car. P.S. Be sure to take THE SHORT off the purchase refund, we don't to read more lies/false accusations about it.

Tried to get problems fixed with my car that was still under warranty but was told it was not his problem. Not professional at all. There are problems with my car and he gets mad at me? So if its not a quick fix your screwed.

I had a great experience with Aldo the owner and salesman. He kept me informed with my car and stayed late twice to finish needed paper work and took in my van for the wrecker to save me time and gave me cash. While I have not had the car for more than a day it is running great and I happy with the service and warranty given with the vehicle. Now time will tell how it holds up, would recommend to a friend looking for a first car or a quick replacement as they have great prices and models for the cars on their lot :) Originally a 5 star experience now a 2 star. Had my vehicle for less than 30 days and it wouldn't start. I called Aldo many times and left voicemails see what he could do for me since he said I would be in good care and bring vehicle to him if anything happens in the first 30 days. Unlike before I could not connect with Aldo and he did not call me back. After finding out it was the spark plugs that after 180k on the car were not changed (maintenance that Aldo said was done clearly was not) usually it is a small hit for spark plugs, but these ones are hard to reach and required 5 hours of labour and $1,300. So a recent purchased vehicle is already a money pit as I had to fix it on my own since Aldo was unavailable and no one answers the warranty line he give a you. I would try a more reputable dealership and shell out the extra cash to get a better vehicle and one where the safety will be much more rigid so you get a better car. I have learned my mistake as an extra $1300, less than 30 days after purchasing from here....the only benefit was my wallet is very light and I may loose some weight due to all my money going to this extra repair.
This guy is a complete liar and I am very unhappy with him. I took my car into him to have him look at it to give me a trade in value because I was interested in a van he is selling. He came out after taking my car in and told me my car had a hole underneath the bumper and by back suspension was bent so he lowball offered me ( knowing damn well my car was worth as much as the van I was trying to trade it for ) the next day I took it to my mechanic who said all of that is a complete lie! There is NO hole and my suspension is NOT bent at all!!! I was told there is absolutely NOTHING wrong or needing to be done to my vehicle ( I take very good care of my vehicle ) I do NOT recommend this place if you are looking for an honest person to buy a vehicle from
