Not so pleasant experience with this house of cars.It took more than a week for us to get the car.There was a huge gap of communication and lack of follow ups.The lady who helped us Lianna was not so professional in her languages and her attitude towards her coworkers.We got the car but unlike others here we are definitely not happy.The tank in the car was empty when we got it and she keep on getting upset if we ask about car proof report saying that I have been doing this job for years which we don’t care and we just need answers.Good attitude and I would recommend her not to use the F word alot while talking with her clients.

I referred my sister to go see Kelly Plausteiner at house of cars on horton road. Kelly made it so easy and stress free for my sister to buy her new car. We didn't even have to go to the dealership. My sister literally did everything over the phone with Kelly. Kelly and Luis the general manager delivered my sisters car to our doorstep within 2 hours of us contacting Kelly for a vehicle. We sat down at our kitchen table and Kelly explained my sisters credit to her (which no dealership has ever done) and Luis went through all of the bank documents and showed us where she is saving money. I've never seen such crooked business practices! Went in this morning at 10am (right when they opened), car I was interested in was listed at $6900 online. I test drove it, and offered to make a deal if they could come down in price. Lloyd (Sales Manager) said they'd call back in an hour after he spoke to the owner. I called back 2 hours later, he said he'd call back in another 30 minutes. After screwing me around until 415pm with false promises of callbacks, I saw the online price had suddenly changed to $7500. We called back to ask why they had not gotten back to us with a number (we were also offering to pay cash), and Lloyd told us that he owner decided he priced it too low as they got it for $7300, but that they'd be "willing to make a deal" for $6900. As a business professional, educated and working in downtown Calgary, I can undoubtedly say that this business possesses zero moral scruples, nor any business ethics whatsoever and will ensure none of my colleagues or friends ever step foot in the door. This car had been with them since winter 2015 (showed me a safety inspection from Jan 2015), it's the black Hyundai Tuscon. I have Screenshots as proof of the price change.

Worst Customer service, at worst they were kind. Until I said that I won’t get a car because I cannot afford it including insurance. I have done deposit and such for credit check for approval. I said don’t push it through because I will not get a car and hurt my credit. And few weeks later I came back to get the deposit, and this guy here said I didn’t response for 2 months and my mistake is to respond yes. But technically I went there about 3 weeks ago. And this guy said we will keep the deposit and I will never get it back. Long story short I got mad and didn’t get my money back. Make sure buy cars from good people and not people who are good at firsts and when you said no after they just...meh suck it up we will keep your money. And the one who assisted me said I could refund back the money.

I wish I could give this less than one star. I bought a car from them three years ago and for the last year I've been trying to get ahold of someone to give me my information about my car purchase, so I can get my warranty info. Everytime I call, they direct me around the city to different people, tell me they'll get back to me and never do. So now, my car has a leak in the oil pan and these people keep screwing me around with my warranty information. This has been going on for over a year now. Unfortunately, I'll have to pay for everything out of pocket because the people working at house of cars are irresponsible, and cannot return a phone call or find an old file. Thanks for the experience!

Highly recommend House of Cars if you are looking for a vehicle. We worked with them a year ago to get a vehicle in an emergency. Yesterday, after working at fixing our credit score, went in to upgrade to a bigger vehicle (I don’t recommend an Accent with a baby lol). Brandon Kolodychuk, Roger Whittaker and Guvy got our interest rate from 24% down to 12.4%!!!!! Almost unheard of. Yes, of course they wanted the sale, but they also made sure it was beneficial for us as well. We now have a better vehicle, better safety features and upgraded features (who doesn’t love a remote starter, heated seats and steering wheel in this weather) for the same monthly payments as before. They listened to what we wanted and made it happen!

I had an appointment booked here 2 days prior to arriving... I showed up 10 minutes early and they were not ready for me at all! I sat around for an hour waiting to see some trucks (they were supposed to bring a few to the one lot for test drives) and the vehicle I was specifically inquiring about didn't exist in their system!! And they didn't know where it was or where the other sales man were with other cars... To me this is crazy you don't know where your inventory is or the guys "test" driving it? I'm inclined to say they were joy riding around the city

Edit: The founding partner of House of Cars, Nadeem, contacted me directly and made efforts to fix the situation by offering other cars at a discounted rate. But I was looking for a specific make/model and year which they're still searching for it. Original Review: Took the time off from work to come to see a car all the way from the other side of the city, but the car was sold a day before and they didn't tell me about it even though we're communicating during the day. When I got there, they tried to find me another car and finally they brought me a car from another dealership which was 4 years older than the one I was supposed to test drive and also they gave a way higher price on it. After 1 hour of trying to find me a car, I told them that I have an appointment to see a car in another dealership. 5 minutes after I left house of cars, the person from house of cars texted me and said he called the other dealership that I was going to and they said the car is not available anymore with the hope that I'd come back to house of cars and he can sell me something. I went to the other dealership the car was available and I test drove it and the person from house of cars LIED!!!! My advice, avoid people that lie into your face! Complete disappointment, will never do business with them

Top notch service! I walked in and was greeted with a fresh hot coffee. The dealership was clean and inviting. I didn't feel pressured by anyone, nor did I feel intimidated. My sales person was Zac. He listened to my needs and was able to find a car that checked all the boxes. Also Guvy (sales manager) was very helpful, describing the important information on the sales invoice. I am also credit re-building and Guvy explained different ways to help re-build my credit and he was also able to get me a lower interest rate than I was paying on my previous car loan. AND.... they were able to get me lower payments on my insurance AND...I was able to drive the new car home the same day! Zac drove me to the registry so I could register the car right away. I tell you, never have I ever in my 48 years of living received this type of customer service! If you are in the market for a new vehicle, or think you can't get into a new vehicle because of less than perfect credit scores, PLEASE go see Zac at House of Cars (Olympic Park)! You will not regret it!!!

I purchased a car last July and had a great experience with Lianna. About 6 months later I started receiving messages and calls from a guy named MATT. After explaining to him that I am already working with the same person who sold me my car he continued to be pushy and messaging me. Just recently MATT messaged me again asking if I ever found a vehicle - I obviously did as that was explained to him months ago (still visible in the message feed). When I told him to stop contacting me he got very defensive and started using a condescending tone. I was extremely upset by this so called him to see why he keeps contacting me. He was extremely rude and then hung up the phone on me while I was talking. Absolutely disgraceful behavior considering I am a customer and have purchased a vehicle with this dealership already. I now would never ever recommend anyone to go to this location. I tried to speak with a manager but I have not received any response. If this was a proper dealership they would never accept this kind of behavior from their employees.

I bought a car there 3 months ago (2009 Ford Edge), "as is", that they apparently get in the same day. They told us that we could trust them, they have a good reputation, they are professionals... I ended up with spending $1000 at a mechanic one week and 50km after buying the car. For a car that I bought $5700 which was my maximum budget, it is a, total disappointment. The car started leaking after the 2ond time we used it, and just a few km drive in the city. When we went back, they told us it was a small leak and a cheap part to change. On the next morning, the entire content of the power steering wheel oil was on my parking ground so I definitely went to an other mechanic I trust personally. Also, on the day we tested the car, we expressed some doubts about the brakes. They told us they were good and their mechanics confirmed that. First time we drive more than 50 km/h we could feel the car shaking when braking which is not a sign of healthy brakes. Our mechanic confirmed. Bottom line: I would not trust them on a car they just got and probably just want to get rid of ASAP. We bought a car there to not get all the bad sides of buying a car on Kijiji and ending up with all the same exceptd that we paid more for that. Thanks.

I had bought a used 2019 Chevy impala LT in August 2019 from House of Cars on 1A Street SW Calgary, it had about 53000 plus klc's on the odometer but the car was in good shape so I bought it. To make a long story I didn't get the best deal That I believe that I could have got ,but it is what it is. The reason for my review is I've just been BLOWN AWAY by what I thought was going to a battle between me and HOC. The car that I had purchased did not have a block heater in the vehicle, and living Alberta, in January and February can be bitterly cold as it was the second week of January I found out by checking the manual ,then trying to find it where the manual said it should be and not seeing it. So I took it to a Chevy dealership to let them show me where it was, only to find out there was never a Block Heater to begin with. Needless to say I was not amused. I asked the Chevy dealer how much it would cost to put one in 908.00 plus GST after I picked myself up off the ground I called a buddy who recommended a Reliable mechanic, anyway This guy put in a Oil Pan Heater which is better than a Block heater because the Oil Pan heater actually warms the oil, much better for cold starts,and better for the motor. It cost me $411.94 My car had no issue with the bitterly cold weather. The first thing I did was write a letter with the copy of the bill and Hoc's Mechanical sheet where there was no mention at all of a Block Heater, and mentioned their oversight of not telling me there was no Block Heater, expecting a fight I figured I'd get a nasty letter back telling me to bad, so Sad, call Dad, and to pound Salt! But to my very pleasant surprise Not only did they NOT give me a hard time,THEY WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND AND E TRANSFERRED THE FULL AMOUNT of the Oil Pan Heater and Labor!!! Worst experience i have ever went through! I would run out of room in order to write everything down. I would strongly reccomend not going to this location. As i first time customer, I was not treated as a priority. I was soooooo close going to the news, as they sold me a lemon vehicle right off the lot, and did many many other things. These issues, drained my warranty, my car was in the shop for a month and a half straight... i didn't even own the vehicle for a week before i noticed the issue. They took my car to repair boys, (a mechanic shop right next door to their shop). He was so uneducated, made my car even worse! Thousands of dollars later, i decided to take my Volkswagen to a german specialist, like what should of been done to begin with... as this would of saved everyone a lot of money! The specialist was so concerned for my safety, and couldn't believe house of cars and their machanic let me leave and drive, due to the condition my car was in! The specialist saved my car and honestly saved me from this nightmare i was in!

I was car shopping for about 2 months, I was dealing with several dealerships all of which just kept trying to sell me this or that, Until I met Guvy at house of cars. Guvy actually took time to listen to what I wanted, went out of his way to bring in a vehicle I was interested in that the dealership didn't even have in stock. I test drove it and didn't care for it as much as I hoped, Guvy who probably should of been annoyed by this, wasn't at all, he said no worries and asked what I didn't like about it, then used it to help guide me towards a car I would actually like. The whole time I dealt with Guvy he never once rushed me or pressured me into buying anything, he actually made the whole process stress free. Dealt with Jacob and Deni, two biggest losers in Medicine Hat. Lured me in with a Mercedes c300, took it for a test drive, told Jacob I would come in and buy it the next day as long as it wasn't a scam, he promised it was not a scam.. Showed up the next day, car was gone,,,"Bait and Switch". Deni starts running his mouth to me in front of customers, lucky he wasn't out on the street. I went in looking for a 2014 Ford Escape and Luis the finance guy showed me a 2016 Nissan Rogue I was a little hesitant at first but he went above and beyond even stayed to talk with me an extra 2 hours after they closed just to explain the advantages of the rogue. They also got my interest rate cut in half. Luis personally came to my work the next day just to fill the gas tank. That's above and beyond of what I was expecting. When the car dealer informed her that the bank approved her car loan, the dealer offered her a car right away. They didn't even give her a choice to pick. She felt bad cause she doesn't have any idea in dealing cars and when she was in that situation she felt like she don't have any escape with the deal. She just wished some car dealers would be more understanding of the buyer's preference. Instead she felt like car dealers just want to sell cars and squeeze some money from the customers. All nice in the start when it came down to buy the vehicle. It was all downhill after we got the keys in hand. The car was filled with fuel only enough to be driven 15min. The newly bought car was on empty fuel tank as soon as we got home after picking it up from the dealership. Also there were weird never heard before charges on the invoice which I am still waiting to hear back. Was going to refer a friend but after being cheated would like no one to be cheated again. And lastly when I said mostly all cars come with 2 keys and the sales rep was like now days cars only come with one key, as I was a fool that I didn’t understand.

Bought a 2013 s4 a few weeks ago, they made the buying process quick and easy, got me into exactly what I wanted and with payments that worked for me. The down side is that after purchasing the vehicle and driving home with it I got a notification that the adaptive lighting is defective. Notification won't go away until its fixed and thats a $600 part. After a couple days of driving my coolant was empty, luckily I happened to be on my way back to the dealership. Car was missing an engine cover, and back floor mats. Also had a broken visor clip on the passenger side and a burnt out fog light which are minor inconveniences. The crank time when I start the car has gotten longer and ive only had it for a couple weeks so ill watch that. At the end of the day I'm still happy with the purchase but I do have some concerns and question marks surrounding it now. Everyone was super helpful and friendly, especially Katherine, but just wish the car would be closer to "like new" even though they are a used dealership.

It's a long review, so please be patient ????. Last year around this time my wife was searching for a car. With a very limited options and some negative experiences from some other dealerships; we just give up. Until my wife received a call from house of cars Olympic Park. The person calling Identified himself as the one of the owners, his name is Hassan. He said he heard we had a negative experiences from other locations and he is calling to apologize. We liked his behavior, and unlike other dealers he said he can't guarantee he can get a car as per my wife situation, but he said he would do his best. Next day he called saying he was able to approve my wife for a car loan with %25 interest rate. That was the only approval she got and as such, she proceeded with the sale as everyone else couldn't get her approved. After less than a year, we wanted to try to refinance. Hassan said he should be able to refinance with a lower rate in a year. She went for another loan and this time he was able to get her %16 interest rate. It was a way better than the previous approval. One week earlier, my wife tried other dealers, the best offer she got from them was %21 interest rate. We don't know how Hassan was able to knock her interest down to %16 and others couldn't was beyond everyone knowledge. I would highly recommend recommend Olympic Park and dealing with Hassan. He is a decent owner and pleasure to work with.

He called me up and asked some fairly basic questions and got the ball rolling, we live in Lethbridge so all business was done by email and text which at first scared me of course, but Kelly was amazing found us a few options as for vehichles, called us and updated us several times a day so we could feel assured and in the loop. It took 2 days to get everything set in stone and then he personally drove it down to us, sat down with us in our kitchen and walked us through every sentence of our paperwork an made sure we understood every bit. I am not impressed with this location. I signed up for a contest, recieved a phone call from Nic at this location asking for more info. My original vehicle is from HOC McLeod, whom were amazing to deal with. Anyways, Nic convinced me to either refinance or upgrade my vehicle. I said sure, well that was three weeks ago and haven't heard a single word. I tried to follow up a week later after providing info, only to be told tomorrow they'd have an answer, well tomorrow never came. I even had to phone the dealership to make sure Nic was a legit staff member, only to be told that because of covid lenders are slow at getting back. I don't believe it, I bought my original vehicle during the pandemic and had no issues with lenders.

They install a shut off device and charged me for it "illegal". Never gave me the remote for the device. I refinanced the vehicle the device locked my vehicle I lost my job because I couldn't get to work. They should have removed the device when I refinanced never informed me and now refuse to help want me to pay for the removal of a device that should have never been on the car in the first place 1 star is more than they deserve absolutely horrendous business. FYI currently in a law suit.

It's funny, I have never written a review (good or bad about anything) but u had the most awesome experience.. I have been thinking about this 3 days... I'm from Toronto, and have business in Alberta and sask last Friday we were in a situation where we need an answer to a vehicle situation and our rep went to "house of cars" on Horton rd. When we got the call to go in... I almost lost my mind...I've always been a STRICT large dealership...service, reliability etc...type.. however. Did we ALL learn our lesson that day... we showed up to me a young lady named Lianna Mohammed (sry if spelled wrong) and WOW... like WOW, forget about just car buying. We left mesmerized by this young lady... totally attentive, totally appreciating the urgency of or need... yet, didn't take that as an opportunity to take advantage of us..and I couldn't wait to get home (to see how to write one of these) and say. LIANNA. Thank you....HOUSE OF CARS, who ever owns your business ( I did some research and your no small operation either) but I say to you the owner or owners... take notice,, her service, care and enthusiasm is rare

Where to begin....... How to say........ My interaction begun online while I was shopping for a car and I came across a car that I was interested in. I was connected to Jack who was very kind..... Listening to what I was looking for and the needs that I had he requested to get some of my information and explained to me what he needed the information for in about half an hour he informed me that he can schedule an in person visit for me to look at the options. In house I met Jack and his colleague Fahad who are amazing human beings they took their time to explain my options and they actually educated me on what opportunities my options presented for the present and the future. I did not feel like they were rushing me to close the deal rather they gave it time and were very relatable. After a test drive and reviewing paper work we closed the deal and as I was unable to pick up the car myself they delivered it the next day...... Jack and Fahad get 5 stars ???? ???? ???? ???? ???? thank you gentlemen

Mario was absolutely amazing. He really knows his stuff. He even took the time to explain my credit report and what everything meant. He even explained how to improve my score even more. Not once did I feel like I was just another sale to him. He actually cares about the person NOT the sale. He just took the time to answer all my questions and concerns and left it to me to decide when to go ahead with the application. NOT once did I feel pressured into buying a car. Once I decided to go ahead with the application, Mario went out of his way to get me an approval and the vehicle I wanted. The management team even went out of their way to get me the best possible deal. Once the sale was complete, Mario even took the time to show me all the options the vehicle had and how to operate them. Absolute best car buying experience I’ve ever had. I would highly recommend him and the team to any one.

Do not mistake House of cars with Horton Road auto who use to operate out of this location. Dealership has way to many car lots. We were told that there are 8 alone in Calgary and the sales representative could not figure out where the vehicle we wanted to see was located. Bad business to the max there should be only bigger dealerships in the city not a bunch of tiny ones. When someone says they are paying cash what business does the sales staff have of asking what we do for a living none of their business. They also have a giant gong so when they sell a car you can hit it sooo cheesy.
