Pretty expensive place to buy second hand cars..the whole yard was very icy just like an ice rink..walking was difficult n just after 10 minutes decided to leave..common guys if you want people to shop make it easier to walk around. We had bought a 2007 Toyota Matrix from Chinook Auto over 5 years ago and we decide it was time for a newer vehicle. We returned and it was like going back and seeing family you have not seen for a while! We bought a Ford Escape and two weeks later went back and ended up buying a second vehicle. Only one small issue the second car is to small, but Khalil is looking at what we can get that's larger as well. UPDATE..........After three weeks of looking and searching and having numerous vehicles shown to me via email and text , Khalil and the team at chinook auto came threw and found me a larger unit! Thank you !!!

Went to go look at a car, couldn't test drive it until we put a offer in for the vehicle. Looked at the vehicle and the rep was trying to tell me everything was fine cause he had an inspection done even though the car had cracks all over the windshield and the rear brakes need to be replaced. After I mention about the rear brakes, he proceeds to tell me that I don't know what I'm talking about.i also went to go see if the sunroof worked, the rep told me not to touch cause I'll break it cause it was cold out. Just an overall a terrible experience. Would not recommend buying a car here.

Just brought my new truck home thanks to Roger!!... I have been trying to get approved for a heavy duty truck for the last 3 months and no one was able to make it happen. But Roger was able to get me approved with great ease, all it took was one email and that very same day I left in my truck. He hooked me up with a really good warranty and did this all within my budget so all in all I was very satisfied with everything and I definitely recommend to anyone that needs a vehicle to visit these guys...They really do bend over backwards to get you to leave in your wanted ride and with a smile on your face...

Hi I am Nadeem and I purchased a Nissan Rogue from here a few days back. I met Mr.Khalil and found him awesome in customer dealing. The vehicle was very nice but it was the excellent dealing that i looked no further and decided to buy it immediately. Mr.Khalil gave me discount on price, provided all the documents required, extended warranty, arranged insurance on the spot and registration in no time. This is my 10th vehicle in last 23 years and i found Mr.Khalil upto the gold standard of how a car dealer should be. Sunday they are closed but he picked me up from 30km away and opened the showroom to hand over the vehicle to me all serviced and tank full. He gave me a courtesy call twice that how did i like the vehicle. Even 2 weeks later he helped find a good deal for a couple of accessories i wanted to add on. What else we can ask for? I will look forward to the dealership to purchase another vehicle next year and highly suggest that anyone should visit the Chinook Autos if searching for a vehicle. Regards

BUYER BEWARE! No deposit is required when test driving. The only time a deposit is necessary is when you hold the vehicle. Then, it should be verified by a letter from Chinook that if certain Conditions are not met, that you will get the full refund back if the deal falls through, ie: inspection-HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, or another's viewing, etc... There is no law that they can't keep your deposit, but AMVIC-protects car buyers-does not take kindly to this practice. I was going to buy a 2014 dodge grand caravan with only 63,000km. Almost brand new...you would think. Here's 2 pics of many of the underside when I had it inspected. Also had many oil leaks. YIKES! My mechanic did not reccomend me purchasing it. I was asked by the salesman as to why I would believe my mechanic...Say what???? Also check the vehicle's status. It may be a rebuilt.

Buyer beware: I found a car they advertised and got in touch with one of their sales people. I asked via email if the car had any accidents or needed any investment and the sales guy told me no, it is all ok. I decided to go check out the car and possibly buy it and I found that the car had hail damage all over. It surprised me that the sales guy that was present when I went did not point that out before I discovered and also acted as he was unaware of it (they have a small lot of about 20 cars). I will look into reporting this to AMVIC as no other potential buyers should be tricked or lied to.

When we went to Chinook Auto Sales I worked with Roger, he made our experience with purchasing much easier. Horrible sleazy experience over phone. Dealer posts an ad on social media platform and write a “novel long” paragraph for vehicle description highlighting rebuilt status and accident history and when a customer downloads carfax, it says clean without any accident history. Customer calls asking about this discrepancy and the sales executive becomes defensive saying that insurance company might not have updated on Carfax and that’s why it still shows active with no accident history. Terrible and deadly experience.

The worst thing i ever did was go to this dealership to buy my Truck ! I bought a truck that cost me $19000 with the extended warranty , 10 weeks after buying it it breaks down , transmission gone , u joints siezed and drive shaft gone !! THIS PLACE SAID TOUGH LUCK BASICALLY ITS NOT OUR PROBLEM !! warranty wouldnt pay either , so we paid $5000 to have it repaired !! and guess what after having it back for only 1 week it broke down again !!! called this dealers again and was told not our problem ! ...... never buy a vehicle from here , absolute cowboys !

Don't listen to the good reviews! Poor quality vehicles with a salesman who was useless. I was told over the phone the vehicle had a full service history when I asked, he informed me that there was in fact no service history. Finally to top it all off the salesman (name withheld) had absolutely no interest in me as a customer and he also had his personal belongings in the vehicle and was using it as a temporary vehicle. Could not be more disappointed after an hour long drive. Dont use these guys!

Terrible place!! Would never buy a car sticker from here, let alone a whole car. The place had a shady vibe to it and the sales person was not very professional. I actually went there with the full intention of buying the vehicle i was going to look at, i had the money ready and everything. But when the guy told me i can't test drive it before agreeing to buy it that was the deal breaker right there. They expect me to spend over $20,000 on them without even letting me test drive the vehicle i am spending that much money on. I decided right then and there that the car might even be in good shape but i just don't want my money going to these people who don't even trust their customers that spend several thousands of dollars on them. Plus they did not have any inspection reports which probably means the vehicle hasn't been inspected and no service history, so i don't know what has been done on this vehicle or hasn't been done. I rather go to a proper dealership where they treat customers properly and even spend a bit more but ensure my money goes to good people.

I guess i should have known better, when he tells me i cant test drive unless i am buying a vehicle, and when i asked for the vehicle report he wouldn't let me keep the history report for some reason... because its forged documents is more than likely why.... My mechanic is looking over the vehicle so i can send everything to my lawyer and to amvic.

I bought a car here that seemed too good to be true. It was a late model sedan with low kms and all of the bells and whistles. When we went to look at the car one of the bells didn't work (power drivers seat). As soon as I brought it to Khalil's attention, the response was he will have that fixed before you pick up the car. It was. I couldn't be happier with my purchase or experience with this company. Khalil was very pleasant to deal with and I would definitely recommend this company.

Dimitri was great! I came from out of province so I required a lot of extra paper work, picked up my 2017 Nissan NV for half the price. Dimitri was honest and reliable, he stayed true to his word in holding the vehicle for me despite its high demand. He provided all the paperwork an valid inspections also allowed a friend to test drive for me before I decided to purchase. I brought all the documents to BC and passed all inspections no problem. I had an insurance issue here that required more paper work on the vehicle and he faxed it over immediately, Dimitri returned all my calls even after my purchase. I would purchase another vehicle from him anytime.

I had a very good experience dealing with Roger A. at Chinook Auto Sales in their new location. Roger was extremely accommodating with arranging viewings, inspections and paperwork related to the vehicle (Including agreeing to stay late at the dealership to meet with me when I was working late). Roger provided detailed and accurate information regarding the vehicle history. I had a number of questions regarding vehicle financing which Roger was easily able to answer. I was provided with a range of warranty options for the vehicle when setting the final terms of sale and Roger also arranged for several small cosmetic issues to be taken care of without any hassle which I greatly appreciated. The vehicle was fairly priced and I am happy with the great service that he and the rest of the team here provided.

Highly recommend for buying out of province! These guys really know their stuff and went above and beyond for helping me out in buying a vehicle to bring back to BC. As the vehicle just arrived and hadn't yet been checked by a mechanic, they brought one to site on the weekend, whom was honest with me (only issue was break pads which they replaced). They also even picked up my mom at the airport on a holiday no less so she could drive it to me. The vehicle has been great so far, no complaints and pased provincial inspection with flying colours. They turned a complicated procedure into a smooth ride. Also sourced some inexpensive tires through them. Thanks guys!

just bought a used vehicle there. price was lower by several thousand than comparables at other dealerships but then there was no room to barter which is okay. biggest disappointment of the whole thing was the car was in dire need of a wash when we picked it up even though they knew when we were showing up and the gas tank wasn't full. also tried to sell us warranty but when I googled the warranty company there is a news article that it is out of business and a ton of complaints through BBB.

I first went to Chinook Auto in July, found a vehicle I liked and sat down with Roger. Although he had my contact info, he only forwarded me information once. I appreciated not being hounded, he seemed to sense my hesitancy, and left me alone. I returned a month later and struck a deal on that same vehicle. This was the first auto transaction I did on my own. I found Roger to be honest, trusting and really helpful. He was not pushy at all. I would highly recommend this dealership and this salesman.

These guys probably do have the best financing options. Have been to Roadsport, which is the dealership next to Chinook Auto and was treated with irritation and disrespect. Ended up buying a truck from Chinook, got approved in 20 mins or so and had received warranty for free. Friendly and qualified staff. Based on previous reviews I guess their management has changed, thus I would highly reccomend them!

Awful experience, they gave a fake story of my cars background and didn’t show me the whole car fax report. I am aware I should have done more research, but they were very convincing, and showed enough paperwork it seem like I was missing anything. I was my first vehicle purchase and they took advantage of that. If you buy here take the car and get it looked at by someone else before purchase. Don’t trust what these people say. They are scam artist. I’d give 0 stars if it were possible, the story is to long to say it all here, but my experience was extremely terrible.

I will never trust this company, I was interested about one car, I have asked them Pre-Purchase Question, received automated answer from them"We will be in contact with you shortly" but they never get back to clients, I am wondering if I purchase a vehicle from them and they never answer email or phones, it ends up of going somewhere else, they do not care to improve their business by taking care of contact forms requests, and phone calls!!
