I went buy to just look at a few vehicles and had such a GREAT experience that I bought a car that I never thought that I would. Fantastic customer service!! Once I received the vehicle was told that I need to bring the car back in a week or two so that they could have a look at some of the work that was done on it for a follow up. I came back as they requested and was given a loaner car to drive for the day. This was one of the BEST BUYING EXPERIENCES I have ever had. I would send anyone I know there to buy a car.

Excellent experience at The Car Place! Dealt with Joel M. and he made the whole experience a pleasure. We always felt all info was made upfront, we never felt rushed or pressured, and when it came time to negotiate, the price given was very super fair on our 2009 Porsche Cayenne. Throughout the years my family and I have purchased many vehicles, with varying experiences. We've found that all the best car salespeople that we have known agree that you don't sell a car once, you sell many cars over a lifetime. Essentially you build a relationship. The one person that stands out as the embodiment of this is Joel at the car place. When we first met Joel many moons ago, the experience was different right from the start. We chit chatted first for a while about nothing car related.. Joel just wanted to get to know us. Moving on to business, we had our eye on a beautiful BMW coupe that was less practical that we ought to have been at the time, and also less functional than was required. Joel sensed this and said something like "hey, you know what.. why don't we look at some other options that might suit you guys. I can source you any vehicle you can imagine". How could we say no? Ultimately we chose an BMW SUV which ended up being a perfect fit for our needs. And we owe that decision to Joel's sound judgment. Since then, every vehicular transaction we have made has been facilitated by Joel. He has always given us fair trade in value and not only found whatever we have needed, but at a great price. And his service is great in between - very communicative, resourceful, and fair. He's just a great guy. If you take the time to listen to him, very quickly you will know you are in good hands. I think he has over 30 years experience.. he knows his cars! Thanks from all of us Joel!

no idea who's putting in the blah blah blah positive reviews, but if there are satisfied customers, then that's great. I walked into their dealership a few days ago, there was only one sales guy in the office and was talking with a customer. When I walked in, he was like huh, what do you want? and he looked surprised, something like, what the hell are you doing here in the private property. now why will i walk in to a car dealership, to buy tomatoes? Not impressed with the customer service, but maybe this was my rare experience. Probably there are other good and interesting sales people though, I hope you have a good experience.

I'm super happy with my recent experience with The Car Place. I bought my car through them and the entire process was painless. I felt really comfortable with everything as the sales guy made sure that I was involved at every step. I popped in the other day with a few minor issues; the owner took a look and was even able to address a couple. Knowledgeable, friendly service.

Buying this car from this place gave me a truly memorable experience and one that I will cherish for a very long time. This group has a combined talent and tremendous experience in locating and acquiring good iconic and vintage cars that merit everyone's interests and enthusiasm. Joel, Phil, and JP - together they can make buying pre-owned cars very easy. Safety and reliability is paramount and foremost in their quest for good cars, not to mention complete customer satisfaction. They are outstandingly competitive in the marketing and pricing of their ever rolling inventories. Their simplistic and customer oriented based approach is a rarity in this industry. I have a lot of questions and concerns in buying this car. Yet, they were able to answer all of them and more. Their hands-on approach is just right and their NO pressure information gathering gave me the time to decide on what matters to us the most. I just wanted to write a comment on how great the buying experience was with Joel at ‘The Car Place’. I was looking to purchase a BMW X3 and stumbled across one advertised on The Car Place web site. I am from Victoria BC but knew I was flying over for some meetings in Vancouver so I thought I would give them (Joel) a call to see if we could set something up. I explained I had meetings all day so it would be hard to get over to see them, so Joel offered up to bring the car downtown to me. A very nice gesture especially given that Joel was on crutches having done something to his knee. After a quick drive around, I really liked the car and put in an offer. Joel had noted that the car was overheating and he would get back to me re the offer and the repair. We arrived at a number and I was to pick up the car the next day. That night he called me at the hotel saying that the part for the vehicle would not arrive in time for me to drive the vehicle home, but that he would get the vehicle fixed and then have it delivered to me on the island. What more can be said except that Joel is an example of someone willing to give excellent service to his customers. As far as the vehicle, I am loving it, especially the heated seats now that it is December. As for Joel and ‘The Car Place’, I cannot recommend them enough and will be back for sure as I have two boys standing in line to drive my current X3. Cheers - Steve (Victoria BC)

Approximately three months have elapsed since I purchased my vehicle from Rav at The Car Place. It ran smooth as silk when I picked it up (November 2014) and continues to do so to this day (February 2015). I am extremely satisfied with the purchase and the process that led up to it. Rav was the consummate professional throughout the completion of the sale. I was allowed, and encouraged, to test drive the vehicle on my own for a long period of time and then encouraged to submit the vehicle for professional inspection. Rav provided a CarProof report and took the time to go through it, explain it and outline the history of the vehicle. The negotiation process felt more like a discussion than a negotiation and was completed in mere minutes. No stress, no tension and no difficult moments. I have no hesitation to recommend this dealership to anyone, my experience could not have been better and I could not be more satisfied.

Joel is the worst sales person I've ever dealt with. I bought a car from him and the car had some issues that needed fixing. He agreed to get the parts ordered and installed. It's been over one hand a half years and all I had been hearing until about a year ago was excuses that he couldn't locate the part. After that he simply ignored my last two messages and calls. My time is too precious to go and see him in person and make a scene in front of their clients but I'll make sure that this message is out and any future buyers are aware ... and ensure that they go to an authorized dealer and buy a car with peace of mind and without the hassle of being lied to. I also have to mention that I paid nearly $4,000 more for the exact same car with the exact specs just because I liked this charmer and gave him my word that I'd buy the car from him. To the extent that I justified buying from this guy as getting a better car and better service and complete information. Granted that all car sales people lie, at least the dealer will be more credible and will have everything in writing in case you need to make a claim. Do yourself a favor and don't buy any cars from these liars. My immediate family members have purchased four cars since then and I told Joel that I would refer them to him but I'm very glad that I didn't. For a few hundred dollars and perhaps an hour of his time, he lost thousands of dollars in business and a lot of opportunities to earn more on the future. What a small thinker!

Such a great experience! When making larger purchases and investments, my wife and I have always valued a good experience. This was no exception. It Didn’t feel like bartering and playing around with a car salesman. Just dealing with a couple of guys who know their stuff, and want to actually get to know you. Highly reccomend!

Great experience dealing with the Car Place. Joel was very accommodating and went out of his way to make me a deal on my 911. As it turned out, there ended up being a minor problem with my car's charging system that I noticed after owning it for a few days. Joel was very concerned, felt that the car should have never been sold in that condition and made things right even though there was technically no warranty on the car. These guys are here to stay.

This private dealership has some nice cars. But they'll lie to sell you a car. Joel changed his mind on the price 3 times, gave me a bogus warranty, sold me a car and promised that "he'll always do whatever it takes to take care of me to the fullest satisfaction". Right when the vehicle rolled off the lot an abundance of issues came up. All Joel and his partner Phil are willing to do is dodge and duck thereafter with a gazillion excuses. Sometimes your own due diligence is never enough in the buying process and a good dealership should stand by their product / service. This one doesn't. What a shame.

I WOULD'NT recomend this dealership to anyone. JOEL will say anything to sell a car. Sold me a bmw x6. Promised full tank of gas, promise to fix my sun shade cover nothing was delivered. On his website clearly states this bmw has tons of transferable warranty. Then he tells me "oh sorry the warranty expired". So I purchase 4 years warranty from them for 3400$. I knew something was fishy. So called bmw canada. Bmw said my vehicle is cover till 2019. I been chasing them around for a refund on my warranty and still nothing yet its been a couple of weeks. Then he tells me he'll fix my sun shade cover in the back. Just come back next week and he will fix it. Doesnt fix it. He said he called bmw and they said its under warranty. I take the car to autowest bmw and langley then said its not covered because my warranty doesnt cover trim. I tell him this and he ignores me. Tells me he'll get it fix for me. That he has a guy that can fix it. He gives me BS excuses like. "My guy is on vacation" or he's busy! Our conversation got no where he kept beating around the bush. Finally he ask me how much does it cost to fix the shade cover. i told him bmw quoted 850$. He stops texting or pick up my phone calls. I ended up getting it fixed by myself. Don't make BS promises if you can't keep it! Buyers beware. Scam artist. I have no idea who is writing BS good reviews about this place. Worst car experience. Had to CHASE this JOEL guy around like a kid in a play ground. Very unprofessional doesnt have a clue whats going on with the cars he's selling.

They did have great service, however, just to get the car out of their shop. Once the purchase was made there were a number of small issues which should've been resolved quickly, however, they decide to drag you along for weeks, if not months. They claim their time is valuable but completely forget about the consumer. I purchased a vehicle from them, and on the day of the purchase noticed a broken head light. This was shocking especially after listening to them talk about their "full mechanical inspection". It made me wonder if they can miss something so obvious, what else have they overlooked? Sure enough, not a week after the purchase the check engine light comes on. The salesman along with the owner of the shop claimed that they could provide full service history before we made the purchase, and now say they can't. Why would they make false claims knowing full well that they didn't have the service records? Well, to make a quick buck of course. In addition to this, their carelessness, sloppy, negligent behaviour shines through when they said the warranty included was 6 months, yet when the paperwork came in, it was only for 3 months. Buyer beware. It's a shame though because like everyone else has commented, I was a fan of their shop and service to begin with. But, after being dragged along for months, I realized that it was all too good to be true.
