My wife and I had a great experience when shopping for a 2nd vehicle. I had came by the dealership to view the stock but was still set on buying a used vehicle from either a private seller or for as cheap as possible. After looking at several cars from auto-trader, we weren't finding what we wanted until we came to Car Nation. Bernard helped us find what was the best fit for our family. He has the perfect balance of a salesmen of not too aggressive or pushy and giving you as much attention as you want. When we were still trying to decide, he was so patience and helpful. After narrowing my search to a few different models at a few different dealerships, I found Patrick to be the most friendly and willing to help. Patrick quickly got back to me when I had questions about my car (pre-purchase) or about the buying process. The dealership is clean and the reps professional. Got a call from the dealer because I put my car on auto trader and to come by get the car appraised. I was told it would take 10 minutes and was no big deal. After I showed up the first salesman’s pulled me aside and told me they would only look at it if I was willing to sell it today or get into a new vehicle from their dealership. I had to be firm with the manager just to explain that before I sell the car I would maybe like to know what it’s worth and only after that they agree to check it out. Don’t pay auto trader to send customers your way, if you don’t want to spend any time helping those people out.

Gabriel the sales rep was so friendly and helpful. He took it to my usual mechanic to get inspected - as that helped me feel more assured to what I was buying. Before you agreed they list all the prizes you could win, with no astrieks or anything. After winning one of the larger prizes, they tell you you have to buy a car first. If you win a smaller prize, like a free car wash/detail, then there is no catch. Sketchy!

I recently purchased a 2014 BMW I3 from the Burlington location. The customer service I experienced was fantastic. The process was smooth, accurate & detailed. I was greeted immediately and was not pressured. Also, I noticed the sales staff is very knowledgeable of their inventory and vehicles. The Business manager (Lisa S.) is also very knowledgeable and worked very hard to accommodate a deal that would suit my financial needs! If you're planning on purchasing a vehicle, I highly recommend you consider them as an option. The prices are good and their inventory is big. I'm very sure they have a vehicle that fits your needs. This is an excellent dealership that does not make you feel pressured, and goes the extra mile to ensure you are satisfied and get what you are looking for. I had a deal signed, and it fell through as the car I was trying to finance was older and the bank would not give a lease of that length. This made me feel embarrassed but it did not create any awkwardness and everyone I came into contact with was very professional and supportive to try and get me something else and let me make my own decision. I definitely recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a first car, or a great vehicle, with many different models to choose from. Went to dealership and wanted to buy a car. Less than 24 hours later, I wanted to cancel the contract. I talked to the manager. She told me I had no choice but to pick up the vehicle as I owned it. I told her I hadn't even test driven the vehicle. I left a thousand dollar deposit and now the dealership is trying to cite more than one thousand dollars worth of "expenses" within the 24-hour period to hold my deposit. Including 260 dollars to torque tires (tighten bolts). All I want is a refund of my deposit, particularly as all expenses theyre claiming were performed AFTER I requested a cancelation of the contract. Buyer beware. They're quick to shove a contract in your face WITHOUT explaining what anything is. They're quick to try and keep your money. I will continue to fight to get my deposit back... as a single mom of 4 kids, I can't afford to lose that kind of money.

Terrible service. Dealt with Simon the ’Internet Sales Manager’ over the phone who was nice but turned out to be unhelpful and a complete waste of time. He told me his General Manager would come up with a trade value for my car and he’ll get back to me right away. Followed up with him a day later and Simon said, “General Manager is working on numbers so hopefully by tomorrow I’ll have numbers for you.” Followed up the next day and he didn’t reply (could have been his day off so I was patient). Three days later after still not hearing from him, I sent him an email and said “don’t expect a good review”... Simon immediately calls me and finally replies to my email. He told me the trade value was $1000 which was honestly more than I expected but at that point, it was too late. My car was sitting in the shop for a week waiting for Simon to answer. How did it take him a week to come up with that number? Thanks for stringing me along. I will never give my business to Car Nation Canada Direct.

I went into the dealership last week Thursday night as I called to ask about a vehicle I saw online. I spoke to a nice gentlemen named Patrick who had the car ready for me to test drive when I arrived. I wasn't ready to make a decision that night as I was skeptical as it's my first time buying a car, my credit score is fair, not bad but fair. Patrick asked nicely what he could do to earn my business that day, I said he was great. I then got introduced to sky the finance manager, very friendly as well. The next day I decided to buy the car. I contacted Patrick to let him know, they needed a deposit to hold the car, I provided the deposit. Patrick assured me I should get an answer within days and someone or himself will be following up. Today is Friday and all week I've been emailing Patrick and calling and leaving messages , no reply or response from anyone. Today I call and spoke with rob ( who is not very keen on customer service like his other staff I met). He wasn't warm or friendly like his other staff. Finally this morning I speak with rob on the phone who says. "I've been trying to contact you" . (Mind you I haven received any calls or messages from anyone all week). I've been doing all the calling!! I advise him to forget my application and refund my deposit. He tells me there is an option for me by putting $3000 down!! I ask why wasn't I told this a week ago. By this point I've lost interest and trust with car nation. He didn't even have a response. I had an awful experience. This place is not for people with strong credit. Maybe I looked young or someone with no money . I didn't even fill out an application or even sign anything. They treated me differently and I did not appreciate it. Maybe this is why I wasn't taken seriously. I will be giving my business elsewhere as I found another place who will get me into a newer vehicle!! Too bad for you Car nation!! You lost a good customer!!!

UPDATED Sept 23,2020: Took another star off because after owning the vehicle for a month now, we are just finding out that our insurance company never received all the info they needed from the finance department. They asked for a copy of the ownership to which they never received... Make sure your insurance company has all the proper documentation and info needed before leaving this place!!!! Had such a great experience with car nation! Both Michael and Joe were great with getting my fiancé and I our second family car! Michael was awesome to deal with, he had the car ready to go, he immediately pointed out spots on the car they would have taken care of. Day of pick up he fulfilled those promises he also made sure the car was safe (covid/contact wise) I will be making sure to refer people to him when they are looking for a car! I take one star off only because I feel it took Until Joe took over from the original guy dealing with the financing stuff. I was starting to think we were going to have to walk away because we were being told that we had to do a 4 year term on the car which increased the payments, being told the bank wouldn’t budge because of the year of the car (2014). Once Joe took over, because the original guy went on vacation, it was smooth sailing. He got us exactly what we wanted no questions asked with the exact same bank we were told wouldn’t budge and made it such a great experience. He got our payment to be way less then our budget too! Highly recommend Joe and Michael! I noticed there was a complaint from 4 days ago about the finance guy we dealt with first. Hoping all is okay with him, he must have been having a off week as we don’t know what’s going on in someone’s personal life. I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt!

We bought a beautiful well priced low kms Jeep Cherokee. We were super pleased with the service we received from Andrew. He’s a great guy, offered solid advice and help, and really thorough with his paperwork. The only things we would complain about was that the finance department didn’t explain the exact overall cost of the warranty while we were in negotiations. And we weren’t given a cost breakdown to take away, this was only given to us when we returned to pay for the car. Otherwise an excellent experience, I would recommend car nation to anyone. I've recently had a not-so-good experience here, and it's telling of the management. I went in to test drive a 2013 RR Evoque. I spoke to the salesman (Sunil) who then proceeded to go through the 'trade-in" paperwork. Now mind you, the price of the RR was $24k. I got the quote, but was told because it was Sunday is have to wait till Monday to know the full story of my trade because the owner(Stephen? Andrew?) was away. Monday I get a call with trade in numbers.. and something is fishy. The cost of the RR is now $25k online. I asked why and they said they undervalued their own vehicle for the market. I said we have a contract waiting to be signed pending the approval of the owner. Anyways, they said they would be willing to possibly honour the quoted if I bought today, which infuriated me because they moved numbers around. Now in my world, when there's a quote in place pending a signature, there's a time period that's valid for. Do not go and modify the quote without discussing with the purchaser first. It's borderline illegal. Crooks!

I don't give out negative reviews often but this time I will. We bought a 2018 Toyota sienna from them in a March. The van looked like it was in good shape and a price was pretty good. The final day of picking up the van they hand us the key and only one key. We ask him where is the other key and the fob to lock the doors and open the doors and they said it was lost so we only got one key. I let that one slide as I should have asked that in the beginning. during March we had the lockdown in Canada so we parked the van and didn't touch it for the remainder of the lockdown. I took the van to Aurora Toyota to have a look over before parking it untill the lockdown was over and save on insurance and they mentioned to me that the oil filter housing is broken and could cause damage down the road but it's not extreme and to get it fixed when possible. Fast forward to November and it's starting to get cold so we turn on the heat for the first time and notice the front right passenger side is blowing cold air. We take it to Toyota dealership and they said it will take two weeks to get the new part in to fix the heating unit. So now I need to drive a cold van for the next two weeks and the hassle of make an appointments with a van that only has 40,000 km on it. In the end if you buy used always make sure you look over every square inch before you buy. When we bought it we never tested the heating unit as the weather was fine and we only tested the AC which does work. Not a happy camper that's for sure. Hopefully the heating unit is under warranty from toyota.

I showed up to check out a truck I had seen on autotrader and was a little disappointed that the pictures didn’t really accurately represent the actual condition the vehicle was in... but I decided I would check out what else they had. Michael greeted me in the lot and was friendly and informative. I told him exactly what I was looking for and he showed me everything he could that fit my check list. He was honest and straight forward and helped me find exactly what I was looking for. I was brought to Robert to handle the financing. He was friendly and efficient and everything went really smoothly.. actually better than I expected. Overall I’m happy with my experience here. The gentlemen I dealt with answered my questions, were quick to respond to my phone calls and emails, and everything was nice and easy. I went in there on Monday and picked up my new truck Thursday. Honestly the worst part was just fighting through the heavy traffic to get there but they can’t be blamed for that. If I have anything to suggest to car nation, it’s to try not misrepresent vehicles in photos online.. my experience was a good one, but not everyone would overlook this.. If I have anything to suggest to someone considering buying from car nation, give them a chance. The selection is enormous and everyone I personally dealt with was great. If your expectations are realistic I don’t think you’ll end up disappointed.

I'm not one to write bad reviews but in this case I feel that its needed. I can by to purchase a vehicle and offer mine as a trade, I thought the offer was low but I accepted it. I provided all the documents required for the loan we were purchasing a vehicle that was $38,000. After one week of waiting I called to get an update, I did not get a call back almost a week later and I got was (I'm working on it) 2 weeks working on a $38,000 loan? I don't believe it. One week passed when the financial guy (Robert) called saying that the deal would no work and the bank was only willing to approve $30,000. My wife and I went back and picked another vehicle in that price and even increased the down payment. Another 2 weeks later I get a call saying that the deal wasn't happening and to come grab my deposit. Terrible experience, would not recommend. I change both my cars every 4 years and never had such lack of interest to make a deal. Go somewhere else.

It was around 8am and Evan responded within minutes, he answered all my questions and we set up a time that same day for me to see the car. When we arrived the car was already pulled up to the front, Evan explained every detail about the car and answered all of our questions. Evan even brought the car to my mechanic that is in Mississauga. There was no pressure to buy the car and honestly one of the easiest experiances I've ever had with making a big purchase. Just be cautious. I recently bought a new vehicle from Car Nation in January because my husband had a good experience buying from them about 2 years ago. I’ve had a LOT of issues with my car since day 1 and I’ve also had to do a LOT of advocating for the issues in order to finally get them fixed. This includes multiple service appointments where techs said everything seems fine and they couldn’t reproduce the problems I was explaining. After I took my car to get looked at elsewhere, I brought them the diagnostics and they are now in the process of fixing everything at no cost to me. For that I am appreciative, but it has been quite the hassle to get to this point and an added stress that I didn’t need these past few months. They respond to a lot of these reviews with a generic email but it seems to just be for show. It's actually useless. They take your information and you never hear back. I had to keep calling and emailing other people until I finally got help. I eventually had to go as far as contacting OMVIC to finally get a response. So in a nutshell, just hope your car doesn't have issues and you should be fine...That’s just my experience!

This is the first negative review I’ve ever written, so many things went wrong, hopefully this will help people to make their car purchasing decision. I purchased a used Audi SQ5, signed the bill of sale late January. I live out of town but we discussed and agreed on delivery within a couple of weeks. I was fine with that. It would either be delivered by an employee from the dealership or through a private company. It took over a month to receive my car, I not only was at the mercy of the transport company’s schedule despite paying for the service, but also, there was a lien on the vehicle. They sold me a car that was not able to be sold until the lien was corrected by the previous owner. It seemed like I was an afterthought. I guess the dealership was unable to ship it themselves, despite what they said, sold me a car that was, at the time, unfit to be sold as well as meet any reasonable timelines. After finally receiving the car, within 5 days there was a check engine light that came on, the car was sold as is, I realize there is risk associated with purchasing, the light wouldn’t have been illuminated on a test drive either so that wouldn’t have stopped me from purchasing. Turns out it was an O2 sensor which was replaced, at my expense. A few days later, within a couple hundred kms from when I purchased, there was a sound emanating from the front of the car. I took the car in to Audi and was informed the right front ball joint was broken and required replacing. I can’t imagine how such a thing would pass a safety test and then sold. Within 10 days of receiving the vehicle (45 days after purchasing), I had two fairly large issues that required immediate resolution, and significant costs. I hope this was purely coincidental and the issues with the car were not present when the dealer sold me the car, either way, my experience was horrendous, the timing of everything certainly doesn't help their case. I informed the salesman of the issues and received no response back. So I’m hoping my story can enlighten potential customers at the potential pitfalls they may face when going through this dealership. Edit: 2020-8-20 - I emailed the address they gave me a few days later and received no follow up. I wish I could give 0 stars, just a terrible way to conduct business.

I’ve purchased 5 cars and this was my best experience from start to finish. I was greeted by Eric who was tremendously professional, he had a great attitude which made the experience enjoyable rather than stressful, and when it came down to business Eric answered all of my questions directly and with out any sales tactics or shenanigans. The owner greeted me as-well. Good focus on customer experience at Car Nation. Of course, it would all fall apart if the product or price was off. However, I was well researched before coming in (I report to a VP for big pharmaceutical company - as his analytics guy... so by habit, I’d already spent tireless evenings researching online so I already knew the asking price was totally reasonable. So be reasonable in return, be kind to your customer rep, and they may be able to throw in a few small perks. Bottom line - when the time comes for car #6 I’ll be heading back to car nation - and not wasting my weekends driving around from place to place. One last comment - I needed some proof of service/oil change for warranty purposes and asked for this documentation months after the purchase; Mike in service was more than happy to help me. Another good example of great customer care.

Before I leave a bad experience I wanna say that they have some friendly staffs that i dealt with, especially Sunil.(thanks for all help though i know you dont make the decisions here) In the summer I bought a vehicle here and they came with 4 winter tires, few months after when i checked the tires two of them were leaking and got them check to the mechanics, said tires were badly damage around the rim , were previous install caused damage and cannot be repaired. Threads were in pretty good shape but for 2 new tires will cost around 1200$, asked dealership for help they didn’t care much at all. Be aware, Once you paid for the car and leave the dealership they wont care about you anymore.

*LONG STORY BUT WORTH READING IF YOU'RE CONSIDERING A CAR HERE* GET A PRIVATE MECHANICAL INSPECTION I found a car I was interested in at Car Nation on the North Service Rd in Burlington. I asked to have my mechanic look at it as the CarFax report showed the vehicle had been in an accident. I was told that before the car could leave the lot I would need to sign a bill of sale with a stipulation of a mechanical inspection, and agree that I would purchase the car upon receipt of a satisfactory inspection report from my mechanic. I was also told I would need to sign the ownership of my current vehicle, a 2014 Toyota Sienna, and leave it with the dealership as it was being used as a trade in for the potential sale. My mechanic’s report found the vehicle needed repairs including an alignment and new tires, so I asked the dealership to complete an alignment due to the unusual, uneven wear of the tires. The alignment was supposedly completed by Car Nation Direct, but when I was ready to pick up the vehicle I asked to see the report. It showed the rear wheels were out of alignment. I was introduced to Mike Pinto as the Service Manager who said the alignment on the rear wheels COULD NOT be adjusted due to a manufacturer setting from Volkswagen. I noticed that the rear wheels were out at different percentages. I asked why, if it was a manufacturer’s setting the numbers would be different on each side. Mr. Pinto returned and said he wasn’t sure why that would be the case. At this point, I was walked across the hall to another office. Mr. Cieslak, an Assistant Sales Manager was now the 6th person at the dealership I had been directed to deal with in regards to the vehicle. Mr. Cieslak asked what the issue was, I told him the alignment report was not satisfactory. He asked what I wanted Car Nation to do about it. I said I had only agreed to purchase the car if a satisfactory alignment report was provided. He told me it was “disappointing” I was asking for this since work had already been done on the car. He then left the office. The original salesperson I spoke to, came to tell me the car was back in the service bay on the alignment machine. Shortly after, Mr. Cieslak returned with an additional alignment report, with different numbers than the first report, showing the rear wheels were now aligned. I questioned how this was possible if it were, in fact, a manufacturer’s setting. Mr. Cieslak said the earlier technician must have either forgotten to do a proper alignment or didn’t have the correct “Volkswagen” tool. I did not feel good about the entire situation and said I would call tomorrow to follow up. I hadn’t decided what to do at this point. As I was walking out of the dealership, Mr. Cieslak loudly aggressively said, “The new vehicle is already in your name!” which I interpreted as a tactic to intimidate me to take the vehicle despite the misleading mechanical work by the dealership. At this point I had lost faith in the integrity of the dealership and the technicians reports, and had to wait a further week to get a refund on my deposit and to have my van ownership returned. I was never once apologized to, nor did anyone at the dealership ever even remotely demonstrate concern at what had happened. I would strongly caution anyone shopping here to USE THEIR DUE DILIGENCE AND GET A PRIVATE MECHANICAL INSPECTION! Do not sign anything with them unless you are 100% sure the vehicle is what you expect, and what you want.

This was my first time purchasing a car from a dealership and boy did I learn a lot about where not to go because this has been a terrible experience since I purchased the car. 1. The car I purchased is falling apart and has many small pieces missing. 2. I was told my car was only missing 3 features that a car I previously was looking at had but turns out it is missing literally every feature that I was actually interested in. 3. They refused to even bring the car in from another dealership until I had signed all the paper work so by the time it was finally brought in I felt obligated to purchase it. 4. They rolled a previous loan over in to the financing which they told me would be paid out in a few days but it has been 2 weeks and I am only gaining more interest on it and keep being told only a few more days. 5. They sent me a copy of the contract to sign which I looked over very thoroughly but because it was 7 years and I only ended up being approved for 6 they had to rewrite it so when I signed the paper work a second time I was told it was the exact same as before just 6 years instead of 7 but I looked it over last night and their is a $1700 charge for some kind of insurance that I was never told about! 6. Now that I am raising concerns I am only being made felt worse about my purchase by the rep who I dealt with. 7. I was told the car would be detailed and cleaned when I got it but it quite clearly was not, their were stains all over the place and just dirty. Like I said this was my first time buying a car from a dealership but I’m fairly certain this is far from how the experience is supposed to be, insanely disappointed and going to make certain that no one I know goes here to purchase a vehicle from now on!

I had purchased my vehicle through car nation. At the time I had traded in my older vehicle. There was three days between the time I purchased the vehicle and the time I was supposed to pick up my new vehicle from the dealership. Two hours before I was to pick it up I received a call from the dealership telling me there was two additional collisions on my vehicle and therefore they would reduce the amount on my trade in by $2,000.00. This was a surprise to me and obviously left me in a bad position since I had already made arrangements to switch the insurance and ownership over etc... I get that with two extra collisions the price would change but what bothered me was that they waited until the last minute to tell me about it... Anyways we worked out the change in price and then I picked up the car. When I purchased the vehicle I was told by the salesperson, Jamie, that it came with two key fobs. It was a Honda and having been a previous Honda owner I knew that the keys were normally attached to the fobs. When the vehicle was turned over to me I received two broken key fobs with the keys broken off at the ends and a valet key. The valet key was the only one I got to actually start the vehicle, the fobs were only for unlocking the doors. When questioned the dealer told me that it was not a valet key and this was the way the fobs normally came. I looked into this more and the fobs for the Odyssey normally have keys attached to them, this is even illustrated in the owners manual. Further, I spoke with someone at Honda who looked at the fobs and confirmed the keys had been broken off the end of them. You can see on both fobs that I have, the keys have been broken off and the plastic surrounding the area is broken as well. Needless to say this is disappointing especially since I am left with the only working key which is actually a "Valet Key". I emailed Jamie about my unhappiness with the keys and two weeks later no one has gotten back to me. I know this dealership has received many positive reviews but I would not recommend them or go back a second time. The two stars is for the vehicle, with the exception of the keys it been running fine.... After repeated attempts to speak with Jamie and other owners no one has responded to me.... I would think twice about dealing with this company.

Had a pretty good experience here when purchasing my 2018 Hyundai Tucson. I dealt with Marco P and he answered all my questions. Even during the test drive, he was checking the listing on his phone and letting me know information about the options that were equipped on the vehicle. The actual transaction went very smoothly as I was not financing nor was I trading in a vehicle. However, they still spoke to me about financing, rustproofing and some type of replacement cost insurance. The delivery was equally smooth even though it required a lot of paperwork that needed signing and initialling. When we went out to inspect the car, it had a full tank of gas and had been washed and tires were shined up. They set up my phone on Bluetooth and gave me 3 free months of Sirius radio. All very nice. The only thing that was kind of lacking was the amount of detailing done on the vehicle. There were still scuff marks on the interior doors and kick panels and as well as a coffee drip stain on the console. They just vacuumed the carpeting inside and left it at that. Also, the black molding on the outside was just haphazardly wiped down with a plastic/vinyl protector. You could see where they started and stopped (shiny and dull areas). Im not saying the vehicle was a mess but rather, when you are told that the car will be detailed before delivery, you expect it to be fully detailed. I guess my idea of detailing is different than that of a dealer. However, I let these things slide as I went home, washed, waxed and detailed the entire vehicle myself. I'm a little anal that way....???? All that being said, I would have no problem going back to Car Nation for my next vehicle. They've got a great selection of vehicles in all price ranges.

I bought an Audi A4 back in October 2015, Ben was the sales person at the time I was dealing with. When I had asked if there were any accidents I was told there were none. However the day I went to go pick up the vehicle I was shown the carproof which revealed 2 accidents, by this time all the paperwork was done and I really needed a car, so I felt pressured at the moment and went forward with the sale. Two months later my heat stopped working. I called and spoke with Ben who told me that he can arrange a free inspection however I would need to pay for any repairs. After spending half my day at the dealership I was told that the blower motor needed to be repaired and that it was a $2500 job. I asked to speak to Ben, who pretended to have left for the day. The next day I took a day off from work and spent it on the phone with the shop manager Amar, Ben and the Sales manager who was not helping at all. I then asked to speak to the general manager, after some time I received a call from the GM who also advised that they would not fix the vehicle as I have had it for a couple of months. I told them I would return the car and contact OMVIC. Once I mentioned OMVIC they immediately offered to fix the car plus clean and wash it for me. As a consumer, I shouldn't have to spend 2 days trying to get a problem solved. I am now in the market looking to upgrade my vehicle. Will not be going back to CarNation. Also I was promised a $100 gas card thay Im yet to receive.

Recently contacted Car Nation about numbers for a vehicle on their lot, the manager named Robert replied and I told him the numbers he gave me for payments were a bit out of budget and I requested numbers on a different vehicle and he never responded. I then waited 6 days and sent him a follow up. After the follow up, I am still waiting for a response. DO NOT contact these people. They do not care about you and will just avoid you at any and all costs and make up excuses for why they ignored. Managers look at emails on the daily and probably a few times. I know someone here will comment the copy and paste response from a previous bad review of someone else and to contact the head office or whatever. I want to speak to who I was speaking with before. All they will do is take $500 off a vehicle price which is absolutely nothing to a consumer.

Disappointing Service - I would avoid We went to Car Nation based on the selection of cars and opportunities to try a number of different brands in a day, although we left with a car that we are fairly happy with we were certainly left disappointed and frustrated by the service, ensuring that we will not be back to this dealership to purchase our next vehicle. First frustration was around product knowledge, we were told our car that we bought had Sirius (not the case and only were told this with keys in hand as we were driving out the lot). We we were unable to receive any confirmation that the automatic car starter that we were looking to install wouldn't void any current warranties and there was no desire on Car Nation's end to find us the information or stand behind their product, we were told "it shouldn't" - We left without a starter and will go somewhere else. The biggest frustration was the pressure sell at the end. This may be common of a number of dealerships but Car Nation throughout this process made it very clear they don't "haggle", nor entertain any negotiation as they offer a fair price. Upon committing to a car we were then taken into a meeting with finance manager who piled on additions and options that we had to decide on at that moment, and on the spot, right now. We didn't take buying a car lightly as it was a huge financial purchase for us and were very clear from the start that money was an issue and we wanted to know the "all in" before purchasing. To agree to a price and then have the "additions" positioned as a must buy now without any other consultation left us feeling taken advantage of, and highly pressured into a decision. Overall I would caution about making Car Nation your dealer of choice as I felt that there was a large lack of transparency and that we made a deal with a company that weren't prepared to stand behind their product while taking advantage of their customer, a feeling nobody wants. ******Reply to owner We were contacted by customer service following the purchase of the car and originally voiced our concerns privately with them as they were looking for feedback. They assured us multiple times that they reached out to you (the dealership) to share our concerns and we were then told a manager would be in touch with us. This has never happened.

OCT 18 After the below comment, the sales manager called me and we worked on a deal to pay off some of the bills. AUG 31ST. After my below review, the sales manager contacted me. He explained to me that the cleaning of the car was due to Covid19 disturbing all the process. He also thought that I probably left my light on all night and that would explained why my battery was dead. Regarding the front lights, they do not drive the cars at night and wouldn't have known that the lights were different. He did not say anything regarding the licence plate's bulb. As a sales manager, he was going to check on his top sales person to find out about the promises made before the bill of sales. Just after my first review the engine light went on. When we explained it to him that the engine light was on, he offered to bring back the car to his shop in order to proceed the diagnostic. We explained to him, that his store was too far and we'd rather have our mechanic in our town that with use for many years. The manager just asked mto send the bills and the diagnostic and would speak with his sales person. We went to our mechanic and we had to change to change the purge valve (which we did). On august 21st I emailed all the infos and bills to the manager ad I have not hear anything from him. I sent back another email on the 28th and I haven't heard anything. I have never had to write a bad review of any business but I do not want any other person going trhought such a bad experience. When I read all the others reviews, I could see I am not the only one. ************************ I am very disappointed by Car Nation Canada. Unfair commercial practice, agressive sales methods. I bought my car last week after the certification done and the results after one week : - Battery failed the next day ( bought a new one) - Rust in the hidden trunk - Defected bulb on the licence plate - Defected front bulb and had to replace both - Inside was disgusting (gums, papers, toys, hairs…)

Called about an F150 good price for $2,400. Asked the sales person what shape its in, expected will need some money. Was told it runs good, everything works. Asked to have a mechanic check it out, they said they would have their service inspect it. They asked for money up front to inspect, I paid, then next day they called said they stopped inspecting after transmission did not work, and many other issues. I asked if they could provide some of the money back, they said no. I had a friend call couple days later asking about the same truck, sales person said good condition runs good. They are now aware of the transmission that does not work? They should have shared the mechanical issues with any new enquiries - be careful of this truck.

Don't waste your time like i did. Reached out to the dealership as a friend recommended me to, what a waste of time. They try and convince you to select a vehicle that fits within your budget, when you select it and provide all of your banking and have them hit your credit 6 time, YES I SAID 6 TIMES IN 2 DAYS After that turn around and say the vehicle you selected that they suggested "that fits in your budget" is no longer the vehicle you can select. They expect at least 20% with a car that is marked up 25% of the actual value of the vehicle online, by the time you pay it off you would have been able to buy a brand new model of the vehicle. Really had a frustrating experience trying to purchase a vehicle from Car Nation. One of the salesman, Patrick, contacted me via email after I had inquired about a Carfax report on Autotrader. I was ready to purchase the vehicle but first requested a quote on having it shipped to us (I don't live in Burlington) and they advertise that they will ship anywhere in Canada. I was told I'd have a quote as soon as possible. When I didn't hear back after 4 days, I called and left several messages. None were returned. When I was finally able to reach the salesman I was told the vehicle had sold several days prior. I would have appreciated a return call letting me know this was the case. He didn't offer to help me find another vehicle. Incredibly poor customer service!

I sold my car to Car Nation Direct and got a fair price for it, I think. However be prepared to sit and wait for over an hour for your cheque. The person in charge of signing the cheque obviously knows the client is waiting for their payout and showed no urgency to produce it. I have betters ways to spend my time. Not impressed at all.

Excellent service, i am very happy with the vehicle i purchased from Car Nation Direct. The sales staff was very personable and pleasant to be around. The particular associate I dealt with was far from pushy and seemed genuinely invested in finding the right car for me. Thank-you Sunil! I would recommend Car Nation with the following caveats; The finance lady that I dealt with was rather pushy regarding warranties. At one point she was trying to sell me warranties worth nearly an additional %40 of the value of the Car! If you just want to buy a car without the bullshit, a good firm "No Thank-you" is required. Despite this disappointing aspect of my experience, she was quite competent with the financing of the vehicle and made doing so quick and easy. I had little interaction with the management of the dealership although a manager did make a point to come by to shake my hand. I was also offered coffee or tea while I waited which made the experience a welcoming one. However, I get the impression the sales staff are under a great deal of pressure to "preform" which leads me to believe much of this is an act of pretension to promote their business. Overall, I'm giving Car Nation Direct a 4 out of 5 for my review as ultimately I got what I wanted at a reasonable price, with excellent service.

We recently visited Car Nation Canada Direct on Sunday to see a vehicle that me and my boyfriend really wanted to buy. We went to see a 2014 Audi Q5. We were in the market for an SUV as we are planning to grow our family and needed a more reliable and bigger car. We were greeted right away as we walked in and was asked if we had an appointment. We had one set up with a gentleman, I don’t recall his name, but he was busy with some other clients. We were then greeted by Sunil Singh right away. They found us a sales man in no time!! He was very professional! Let us inspect the car fully and we went on a test drive. We asked if the car could get washed so we could see if there was anything wrong with the vehicle. He allowed us to take all the time we needed. After many discussions we loved the car and wanted to buy it. The process was very smooth. We were approved instantly and by Monday the car was home with us!! I would highly recommend this dealership and there was no pressure at anytime to buy the car (as many high end dealerships do) and we were very happy towards the end of our visit!!

Car was supposed to get an alignment but upon hitting the highway after signing papers, it pulled hard to the left. Supposed to get an oil change with it but instead my oil life was at 51%. Go over tires and brakes with a fine tooth comb, otherwise your paying out of pocket. Lowball offers for trade ins. Everything people warn you about from a dealership. Everything!

Was looking for a 2016 Sorento EX. Requested to book an apt. and next day got a call from Andrew Hayes to book our test drive. We showed up as full family (of six) He welcomed us at the door and minutes later we were test driving. There were two identical cars and he was very patient while we were (as a whole family) going through and checking both cars. I have been researching this car almost 10 days and I have to admit that their prices are very well maintained based on market and not inflated as many car dealers do. Another decision point was that they paid top dollar for my trade in. So many dealers advertise that they will pay top dollars for your trade in but after shopping 10 days and visiting many dealers, I found Car Nation Direct is the only one who offered and paid top dollars! We enjoyed great quality coffee and hot chocolate while waiting to sign our purchase agreement and our car was ready to pick within 24 hours. My girlfriend and I just bought a Hyundai Santa Fe. Our sales person Evan was so helpful with answering questions and ensuring we were 100% satisfied with our vehicle. We ran into problems when we met up with Lisa in the financing department. She was very rude to us, and didn't answer our questions. He demeanor towards us was short and made us feel we were a burden. When I picked up the vehicle and signed the paperwork, I noticed that there was insurance tacked onto our bill that we never agreed to. When I brought it to her attention she continued to push the insurance on us even though we didn't want it. We never said yes to wanting the extra insurance through them nor did we agree upon a price. It was a very frustrating experience. We are still waiting to hear confirmation from Lisa. Overall Evan was fantastic and I would recommend asking for him when you go into buy a vehicle. Be weary of Lisa when you get to the finance department.

Things started out good, the place was clean and professional, and staff seemed eager to help. The car I was looking at was beautiful and very well detailed, and Andrew was helpful with putting me at ease and was polite/friendly. That being said, as things went along and got closer to the sale, I definitely started to feel pressured and rushed to sign off on the deal and then add extra insurance, extended warranty, and other unneeded (or in my case, unaffordable) expenses when I met the financing manager, without feeling like I had time to go over details or have my concerns properly addressed. I got this uneasy salesman vibe from some of the staff as they started seeming overly eager or excited to help, but when it came time to answering the tough questions about financing terms, possible loss of work and missing payments, trading the vehicle, etc., it seemed like every question was brushed off with a "no worries, we have a solution for everything!" instead of being honest and admitting there are certain very real pitfalls depending on the financing term length and additional expenses. It was only after purchasing the car and informing myself that I learned about those pitfalls, things like "negative equity" and other very important hidden dangers that everyone should be aware of, and that I believe dealerships should be more upfront about..! To summarize, 3 stars because the service was good overall, and although I understand business and making sales, in the end I didn't feel like the dealership was looking out for my best interest and properly addressed my concerns/budget (deserving of 5 star rating). It seemed like they were eager to make another quick sale and add on as much as possible to the price tag, which makes it hard to build a sense of trust and leaves a bit of a sour taste in your mouth afterwards. As of now I'm happy with the car I purchased, but if I lose my job or need to trade my car down the road, then I might not be so happy with the extended financing term or the debt I'll have left! Personally, I'm not sure I would return to this dealership but if I ever do I will be much better prepared. Word of advice: if this is your first car, as it was for me, bring someone who is experienced/knowledgeable to help ask the right questions and negotiate, or take your time and do your research before you sign any contract. It would be nice to have dealerships who are honest and upfront and look out for their customers' financial means, but unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be the reality for many dealerships who seem to value sales over their customers, including this one.

Each person I dealt with gave me their undivided attention, honesty, and were so incredibly informative and helpful. Do not buy a car here. I financed a car that was advertised as $7980, they then got me to sign the contract without explaining the finances. Luckily I checked because they added $6000 worth of optional insurances so the financing was almost $15000. When I challenged them on it they said they couldn't change it, it was only when I showed them on the contract that it said I had 10 days to change it they would let me. Also the car was advertised with Bluetooth and the Bluetooth does not work, when I asked them to fix it they strung me along until the return period had passed and then refused to go fix it or pay for it. This is a greedy, selfish, unprofessional service that doesn't not have the customers best interest in mind. Please don't buy a car here

Go somewhere with diligent employees. Went in, test drove a few cars, found one I liked. Applied for the loan. Didn't hear from them for days. Rather than call or email me to tell me I was approved. I call them to find the car was going to be ready to pick up the next day, leaving me no time to get insurance. The salesperson Michael then proceeds to spam call and email me to pick up my car. Which I would've loved to do but I wasn't going to insure a car I didn't know I owned. Finally after getting insured and going to pick up the car, they've gotten new plates for it when I specified to transfer my plates. After giving me the package with my ownership, etc. It contains someone else's plate portion, and to top it all off the small touch up I asked for wasn't done. There's way too many car dealers to not go somewhere with organized employees, choose somewhere else.

Evan was super genuine and texted us all the information we needed. Thank you. The only negative was the manager (?) who signed the paperwork with us. Had a decent enough experience purchasing a used vehicle from the Burlington location, but highly advise people not to purchase any extended warranty or go to Car Nation for servicing. The vehicle I test drove had to be jumped in order to test drive it and as weary as I was, I was assured by Marco upon pickup that the battery was in perfect condition. Less than 3 months later I'm with a completely dead battery and their service department did not respond to any of my voicemails, nor could the front desk page anyone for me to speak to, nor were any of my calls returned. Disappointing and frustrating for sure.

Terrible shopping experience. I'm sorry I ever set foot on the lot. What should have been a happy occasion (buying a nice car) they managed to make awful. The car needed a part. Not a big deal. The part would take a couple days to arrive.. also pretty normal. They had me transfer my insurance to the new car, told me they'd get an update on the part, then went home for the weekend without a word. This meant no new car and no old car over the long weekend. Really messed up my family plans. I spoke to the manager and was told there is absolutely nothing they will do for me. I called Tuesday (as instructed) and the receptionist tells me nobody is there and she doesn't know why I think I'm picking up a car. They call back to tell me it's ready. I get there, neither key fob works. Looking at the safety cert, it passed 5 days before it had turn signals. Hmmm. They made a vague offer of free oil changes but no way I trust them to work on my car. Probably have to order oil and it takes 5 days to come in. I've started a formal complaint process and BBB.

Nice place to shop for a vehicle, they have a wide range of choices. Test drive a 2018 Nissan Rogue, but wasn't satisfied because brake pads were grinding, probably sitting in the yard too long. As A person with social anxiety, situations such as buying a new car can be very overwhelming. I often have a sense of being judged when walking into a dealership, which makes the situation even more difficult. However, Car Nation never made me feel overwhelmed, stressed, or panicked. Me and my husband recently purchased a 2017 Kia Soul, with the help of Nick at Car Nation. He was so friendly, down to earth, and personable that he made the whole experience go smoothly. When we told him what we needed and the cars we were considering, he took the time to explain which options would be better for us and why. He never tried to push us in any direction and allowed us to lead based on our thoughts, needs, and budget. We now own a reliable vehicle that is perfect for our needs, my husband and I couldn't be any happier!

If you care about the character of people that you would like to buy from, these are not the guys. I talked to Dominic (sales manager) & Kyle (sales rep). We are looking to buy a vehicle within the month and they have treated us very poorly. My experience began with Kyle not even wanting to give my offer to the manager. When he eventually did, it was refused which we understood. When I called back later to give another offer, I asked to speak to the sales manager Dominic simply because Kyle had treated us to poorly, but the minuted he got on the phone just wanted to parade about how I'm back cause I couldn't find anything else better. I literally could not get a word in - he just wanted to gloat. I was willing to give them a second chance after Kyle, but after being treated so rudely by Dominic, it's clear sales and pride are top priority, not customer service, and I like to spend my money somewhere that makes me feel happy to have supported their business. This is not that place. If you'r looking for someone that you can deal with that is respectable and feel confident that they are about selling good vehicles and not their ego, then don't consider buying a vehicle from here.

Have purchased many vehicles ( 38 ) in my time from many different dealers and the experience here was outstanding. No haggle on price but fair value and a willingness to take care of a few items I wished to resolve before I took delivery. Being able to perform much of the deal by text / phone was great and it limited my families exposure during these strange days. Vehicle was delivered clean, full of fuel and looking great. Was even washed before my test drive which was a welcome surprise. Worked with Massey in sales and found him to be polite, and easy to deal with. No pressure and it actually felt like I was dealing with a friend that I have known for some time. He was able to answer my questions and direct me to the right person if he could not. Would recommend this dealership as it appears they are stand up and looking to build a relationship with the customer instead of simply selling a vehicle.
