My story started several years ago with specifically Brockville Nissan service with my 2010 Nissan Versa where I came in because my gear shifter. It wasn't shifting properly. I told the service guy that I had recently had it replaced at Canadian Tire but it was still not quite right. Brockville Nissan quoted me another $650 to fully replace my gear shifter again. I took my car to Prescott Auto Sales where they made a small adjustment ($35) to the linkage and that completely fixed the problem for the three years until I sold the car. That did not leave me with a great impression of Brockville Nissan Service.
I emailed this story to the management team at the time with no response.
Despite that, I still loved my Nissan Versa after 485,000 km so I bought another used Versa from them. I have to say that dealing with the salesperson (Len) on the sale was a pleasure.
As part of the safety, I was told that I was given new front brake pads. However, the brakes never felt right and often squealed. I brought the car back after a month or so and asked for an inspection. I was very quickly assured that there was nothing wrong as they stated that "they were just done" and like "new". They continued to squeal, eventually vibrated through the steering wheel when the brakes were applied. I took the vehicle elsewhere as I did not trust the service at Brockville Nissan.
After 6 months and only 16,000 km (mostly highway), I needed new pads all around, new rotors and rear drums. I just received the car back today, and the brakes are functioning like a dream. They are smooth and super responsive.
While I will buy another Nissan, I will never service my vehicle with Brockville Nissan again.
