I have had bad experiences with other used car places in Barrie, lies and fake safety certificates...So it was a dream to find Ray! I could not be more happy with the Subaru I bought last week for my son. Ray was a great fellow to buy from, honest and straight. He saftied the vehicle for us, and when a small leak was detected in the oilpan after it was saftied he replaced it the next day! Easy to deal with, friendly and like I say honest, did what he said he would without quibble. For those who complain about needing repairs months after buying a used car...It's used! I would definitely buy from him again as his vehicles all seem clean and tidy. And fairly priced. Would recommend to anyone.

I bought my vehicle a few ago from RAE'S car lot. He got off to a great start working with what I had . Bought a really nice car from him and have had no problems since. Gone back for advice he is always there to help. If it wasn't for him I wouldn't be where I am now . Disgusted with owner, service, and product. Bought a 6 yr old minivan, safety certified and immediately started to experience major problems. Ceased caliper, needed new front brakes, misfire codes, replaced spark plugs AND replaced Transmission inside 30 days. Ray is more interested in selling vehicles and will tell you anything to make that sale. Finally under severe pressure, he sent me $300 towards the $1400, I spent out of pocket, after driving off his lot. I now have a leaking windshield to repair also, as it rains INSIDE my Van!!! If you want a lemon, buy a vehicle from Ray!

It was my first time buying a car and Ray made sure I had nothing short of a great, hassle free experience. He was very explanatory and I felt like he actually cared about not only making the sale, but also making sure I was happy as a buyer and driver. He handled my safety, got me a decent deal on winter tires, and gave me tips on how to make the most of my purchase. He was very friendly, and took his time instead of rushing me. I really appreciated my experience and though he has a small business and doesn't have an abundance of inventory, what he does have in service and commitment more than makes up for it.

Do not buy anything from this place,Autos,used tires.or certifications.BAD NEWS! Have your own mechanic Certify the vehicle get it! And make sure you have road side assistance,you will need it get it!This guy is a joke! I got the right guy .Remember 2008 Equinox with the codes.$3,000.00 for timing chain kit.????????????

Thought he was an ok guy at first. Turned out he is the definition of a real used car salesman. After an issue with the check engine light my mechanic discover the odometer had a suspected rollback. Spoke with Carfax and they informed me the vehicle odometer did not represent true kilometers. It had been sold at auction stating that the kilometers were not the true distance travelled. Dealer dismissed it. Went to OMVIC and they agree with me. So he is not someone I would recommend buying a used vehicle from.

I have bought off Rae my entire life since I was a kid. My parents bought off of his father my entire childhood growing up and always loved the service. He was able to finance me a car in a time when i had no credit and no one was able to help me. Rae has always been the person I recommend to anybody looking into purchasing a vehicle. He helped and guided me in the right directions, my sister also buys off Rae and he has helped her tremendously. Rae is a wonderful man and very knowlegable he is better then alot off mechanics at finding out what is wrong with vehicles because he has been around them all his life. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

DON'T BUY FROM THIS DEALER!!!! If there was a minus rating I would totally give him a minus. I totaled my vehicle when I hit a deer in November and I was forced to purchase another vehicle before returning my rental. On November 28th I purchased a 2012 Mazda CX-9 from Ray and I was suppose to pick up on December 5th, Ray failed to have the vehicle ready and refused to give me back my money. After several emails to him to kindly request my money back he sent me a letter and told me if I did not pick up he was going to sell the vehicle and go after me for the shortfall. I was then forced to go and pick up the vehicle but, when I arrived he refused to give me the keys, my ownership and the copy of the certification so I had to get the police to come over and get him to give me my stuff so I could be on my way (keep in mind I live in North Bay and traveled 3 hours to his dealership in Barrie). Once I left there I took it for another certification to make sure the vehicle was safe for my kids and myself. I left his dealership and drove 10 km and the check engine light came on and I had to replace the fuel pressure switch. 10 km from the dealer and I already had to put $600.00 into this vehicle, I go back to pick it up and didn't even make it home before all the lights came back on and there was an awful smell.....long story short, the transfer case is shot and so is the transmission! I emailed Ray because I was guaranteed a 30 day dealer warranty and he refuses to pay for anything and he refuses to take the vehicle back. I've contacted UCDA & OMVIC and they have both suggested to him that he refund my money and he continues to refuse. Please please please stay away from this dealer he is nothing but a slime bag and a huge crook!!!!!

My husband and I have been dealing with RAES for years and is the only dealer I feel comfortable buying a used car from. We have always received a very reliable vehicle at a fair price and felt we got the best value for our dollar. Ray was very helpful a few years ago in securing financing when I had a poor credit rating. Ray goes above and beyond with customer service. At the beginning of this Covid-19 pandemic, he was able to locate the perfect car for my needs. He even personally delivered the car to my home. I wouldn’t by a used car anywhere else.
