great service, although may have appreciated a little more frills, it was and easy transaction, the vehicle has been great so far. enjoyed the 30 day 1000 km warranty as a safety cushion, have bought from other dealers before with no such option free of charge. glad they offer the extended warranty as well, and give you the option to add in another year prior to expiry. the mechanic changed the air & cabin filters on the vehicle which was a very pleasant surprise. the wipers kinda fell apart after some of the severe weather but, these things happen. car was almost immaculate inside and out, considering it was not purchased brand new. would look into their inventory again when in the market for another vehicle.

Service was great the day I bought my car from them. I am giving them a one star because I have had several issues with my vehicle since day one and I only have had my vehicle for about a month and a half. The first day I had my vehicle, it started shaking and a drive train malfunction came on the screen. Which made me extremely angry as this is my first car. I took it to the shop they deal with as my car was still under warranty and they told me it was a cylinder misfire. They fixed it, so what I thought. Not even a week after that the check engine light came on again and they refused to look at it as they need the same code twice. All they did was wipe the code and told me what it could be. the light came on AGAIN, week after week, so I took it into MINI myself. They told me that My breaks where at 2.5mm and that i needed a total new set of breaks. Along with that, they told me that fuel was leaking in the oil because of the cylinder misfire. My car should not has pasted safety. My father took the bill from MINI to them to ask them to step up. They didn't. I just had to take my car in yesterday as the light came on again and it is leaking fuel into the oil. I got completely screwed over and i DO NOT recommend buying a car here

If I could give less than 1 star I would. The car I bought from Murad auto has been nothing but problems and costly repairs since day one. I have complained to Murad and asked politely for a reimbursement for the repairs. This car should not have passed a safety. I have been told by numerous professionals to report this vehicle dealer "Murad auto sales" to the ministry because they should NOT have sold me this dangerous broken car. Very disappointed in the service and experience. It is a good looking car and seemed in working condition when I bought it one month ago. Buyer beware!

I was looking for a new truck and was driving by Murad Auto Salesin Ajax when I saw a beautiful Chevy Silverado in the front row. I emailed Murad on my first opportunity and got a response within minutes. I set up a time to go in for a test drive and spoke with Michael who is a very personable, witty and down to earth guy. My wife and I went in to test drive the truck and were treated very well, with trust and respect (they said I could take the truck for as long as necessary as long as I wasn't going to Alaska). The truck was great so we bought it on the spot! The best part of this deal is that they have a "no hidden fees" policy so I knew the exact cost of the truck without any tense negotiations or unwanted surprises. A bit of a take it or leave it scenario but definitely honest and up front which is much more preferable. Murad sent the truck in to make sure it was in perfect working condition before I took delivery - they did the brakes, replaced a broken side mirror and fully detailed it. There was the matter of a small stone chip in the windshield on the drivers side but Mordi and Michael took care of getting it fixed for me even AFTER I had already picked it up and driven it for about a month. The service was impeccable and they stood by their word but more importantly I have found a trusted cars sales company and that's the most important thing! I'll be going back for my next vehicles for sure.

I had been planing on purchasing a "new to me" car for a while, and had always passed Murad on my daily route. One Saturday morning I was drawn to check them out. I liked the fact that there was a large selection of quality cars on the lot. But my car was there, the sun shining on it just so, calling to me. I took it for a test drive and I knew it was mine. What stood out most for me is the full disclosure they give on all their vehicles. All vehicles have a file with carproof and receipts for any repairs done for safety. Giving you a level of comfort to make an informed decision. Secondly, I was impressed with their pricing structure; the price was what it was, no less, no more, no surprises, save for licensing (varies dependant on you). Included in that price was cost, certification and tax. That's it, thats all. I had the pleasure of dealing with owner Mordi for my purchase, he made me feel that my business was important to him and took the time to explain the entire process of how the car I chose got to the lot, then in to my hands, I didn't need to know, but it demonstrated his integrity to me and gave me a level of comfort, reinforcing my buying decision. My car came with 4 brand new all season tires and at the time we had just experience a large snow fall and I was concerned about not having winter tires. Mordi to the rescue! He found 4 fairly new winter performance tires for me and sold them to me at a reasonable price. I would recommend this dealership for your next purchase of "new to you" car. I bought a used vw jetta and hey told my i could have the car but then their mechanic overlooked a problem with the car so it had to be taken back and fixed...who knows what else he overlooked. Also the radio sometimes turns on even when my car is off and stays on until it is turned off, luckily it has not run the battery out and i havent been stranded yet but it is a concern. The lights that light up the heat dials also dont work. The chances of you having the same problems are small but when spending such an amount of money its not worth the risk!

Great dealership! 100's of cars to test drive and choose from all under 10k. If you don't have tons of money to spend on a new car, this is the best dealership. I bought 2 cars from them over the years. No pressure just good advice. Also, there is no haggling which means you never have to worry if you got the best deal or not. So they have good prices, but no time for customers. I was there and I was a drop in customer and I know the Covid rules. But I went to the hut on the lot, after 5 minutes trying to do a Covid screening someone finally came to the door. I was asked if I could be helped. I said I was interested in 2 cars. Because I didn't make an appointment I couldn't test drive, That is fine. I was told there was no appointment that day because they had a full schedule. So I left and sat in the parking lot looking for directions to see other cars around the Barrie area. I was there for about an hour and not one car came into the sales lot. I didn't even see the sales people come out of the hut. They're a used car sales lot that doesn't sell cars. They do have clean and well priced cars. But the attitude was not well received.

THE ONLY PLACE YOU SHOULD GO TO BUY YOUR NEXT VEHICLE. Bought a 2014 Chevy Cruze LT 5-speed, with just over 100km on the vehicle about 2-3 months ago and I have not been happier with my purchase. Murad Auto Sales is definitely one of the best dealerships in all of the Durham Region or better yet all of the GTA. The sales people here make you feel welcome and like you're part of their extended family. I've had my fair share of bad deals with different car dealers/sales people, but Murad's is by far the only place I will refer my family and friends to from now on. I had a really great experience dealing with Evan, Mike and Matt. From the moment I found their post on Kijiji for the car I wanted, Evan treated me like a valued customer. I hadn't even seen the vehicle yet and Evan's demeanor and great sense of humor at me feeling right at home. The vehicle was exactly as the advertisement had stated but even nicer in person. The price was more then fair for the condition of the car and I even purchased the 2 year unlimited km powertrain warranty. Unfortunately I had some issues getting reasonable insurance, due to an error my old insurance broker made but Mike handled it very professionally. He was very understanding and tried to work through the issue with me without any hassle or aggressiveness towards the situation. My whole ordeal took about 6 or 7 weeks to straighten out and the sales team at Murad's handled it as if I was a relative lol. I even had questions about my extended warranty so I called today and the associate who answered the phone was very helpful. Thanks again for further explaining my coverage. I can assure you that if I decide I want a change of vehicle I will be returning to Murad's to see what great vehicles they have on their lot. With their selection of vehicles, you will have no problem finding something that not only fits your budget but also your taste in vehicles. Thanks again for the great customer service :)

Bought a car last year was told they had put on brand new brake system which was a large part in why I paid so much for it. Less then a year in my car is making strange sounds so I take it to multiple mechanics as I am being told the brake system has not been redone. It was completely rusted out and the only way it could of gotten this bad is if the car was sitting for months on end. I drive everyday the most it could of been sitting was a week. I've driven a total of 15,000 KM this year so I have not been driving crazy distances either. I call murad auto and ask to get info on why i was lied to regarding the brakes being done and i was told to contact the mechanics who did the work. They explained Murad auto uses the cheapest parts but even still they should not be rusted out unless the car was sitting (again the car was not sitting). I then am told I will receive a call from Mr murad to get more answers i did not recieve a call so i called them and was hung up ok twice. finally get through and explain that i feel lied to and scammed and I was screamed at in full by one of their employees and told if I dont apologize I would be hungup on(again). then when he calmed down explained that some breaks they replace only last 3-6 months and confirmed that they do infact use extremely cheap and low quality car replacement parts. which had I known before buying the car I would not have purchased it. The customer service experience was horrific and I was compared to a person who goes to McDonald's and complains about the coffee because I had legitimate concerns and questions. leaving this review for others as a heads up the parts they replace can go in anywhere from 3 months to a year.

I just bought a 2003 Dodge Neon, I drove from northern Ontario -10 hours- just to look at a car at Murad. I originally was looking for a Sentra they had on the lot, but when I arrived, I found my Neon, and had a change of heart. The price for the car was ridiculous, I thought that there had to be a catch! Nope, 102K, no rust, a good working engine -my last car stalled after a 5 minute idle. No catch. I even drove the way back and not a single problem! I showed up quite unannounced, drove down Sunday, and Monday when they opened popped in to ask for a test drive. Luck was with me, it had been pre-certified, so all the work was done! It took less than an hour to have the ownership swapped and Kanga -my Neon's name- to be on the highway home.

Be careful buying a car from these guys. They lie through their teeth to get a sale. I was lied that the car had a clean record when it’s been to accident. I was lied about a crack on the windshield ( I don’t know how they managed to get through safety). I was promised extra winter tires since one of the tire was in bad shape and they never gave me any tire after many times going to the store to talk to them. They simply ignore my calls, my msgs and give me excuses every time I go to see them. Big mistake buying from these guys!

My friend told me to go see Murad Auto he said that he has been buying cars from them for years and never had trouble. What I liked about them the salesman didn't come with us for the test drive. He called the kid that cleans the car to hung the license plate on the back andstart the car. he told me to take my time testing the car. I tested 4 cars cars and the salesman didn't get pushy he told me that if like a car buy it and if I don't find a car today come back in a couple days he will have more cars. I went to a couple other dealers and checked Auto Trader Murad Auto s prices were good and I could not find cars that were good as his. I went back to Murad with wife so she could look. She tested a few she picked a Dodhge Caravan from them in 2008 it had 145,000 km. $5,000.00 She drove it to 2014 and 360,000km never had a bad thing go wrong. We are driving my company van and her dads old car now but when we need a car we will get it from them. I went past the place and saw a Beetle Bug for sale so I'm here checking its price and thought I would rate them. I will buy my next car there for sure.

Had a great experience with the Murad team! During the Covid pandemic our family car bit the dust and we left in a bind. Our 4yr old son is on the autism spectrum so we usually buy used vehicles in cash privately and drive them into the ground for a few years to save on monthly expenses and provide as much resources to him as we can. This has always been whats worked best for us until I came across an ad for a vehicle at Murad that I couldn't ignore. The guys at Murad motors were incredibly friendly and also supportive on the phone. They asked questions, learned my family situation, gave honest feedback on the vehicles I was looking at, and good advice as well. It came down to 2 vehicles - the Nissan we purchased was in great shape with a lot of interest, so the easy sales play would be to steer us towards the other vehicle and easily move 2 cars. However, Evan was super upfront about what he thought would be the better buy for our family and got us into that right away!! No haggle, no hassle, and the price was better than anything else I found on autotrader ACROSS CANADA, plus ours had less kilometres and more options. These guys run a great family business, and clearly understand that gaining a customer is more than just selling them a car. I'll 100% be back.

Murad auto sales has cheap prices for a reason. Within 4 weeks of driving a fully certified car off their lot I’ve had tire pressure issues twice, and excessive squeaking and rattling from under the car. When I took it in they patched the tire and said the rest was fine. It kept squeaking and when I asked they wouldn’t allow me to get a second opinion from another dealership through their warranty, even though the squeaking is unbearable. Now fast forward 2 weeks and I noticed a large leak at the front of the car, and had to have the axle replaced for $650. This mechanic found the issues right away and said the squeaking and rattling is from the drive shaft, which I also need replaced. Long story short I’m going to be $1500+ in the hole, less than 2 months after buying the car fully certified. The salesman seems very kind but that’s about the only good thing of my whole experience with them so far. UPDATE: all the repairs added up to $3100, less than 2 months after buying the vehicle. Murad auto offered me $300 (less than 10% of the repairs) to take my review down, to which I declined

Came here once in search for a winter beater as I have a summer vehicle. The sales staff working kind of made it seem like they were more interested in my financial situation even questioning if I would be able to afford some of the models that I was looking at. As a "car guy" I noticed the sales staff are not very knowledgeable on the specs of the vehicles things that I knew off the top of my head about certain vehicles staff were struggling with and i noped out of there real quick and bought myself an Acura TL from a legit dealer down the road.

Began my search for a Honda Element and Murad was one of the few places in Ontario that actually had one! I called to see if it was a "smoke free" vehicle and the owner was happy to go and check it out for me before i made the hour+ drive to get there. I had a non car sale related issue. I have a cadillac that has a broken gas meter lmfao. So I was driving and ran out of fuel right in his lots entrance.I approached the lot and found that thier is no customers and no employees outside. So i went into the shop to see if anyone was there. Upon entry I found three employees inside. I asked the employees if they would be able to give me a drive, 2 seconds up the road for 10 or 20 dollars for thier time to fill a jerry gas can, they flat out said 'WALK' I know it's my fault human error. Purchase of the vehicle was made easy with the staff at Murad but beyond that this dealer is sub par. The service ends there. Had minor issues that they do not take ownership of and will leave it you to deal with the mechanic they retained. This an issue as they aren't your mechanic and the hours don't work for a working person. Murad isn't helpful after you leave the lot. Basically its the same as a private sale. Bought a number of used vehicles in the last 5 years from other used car dealers and this is the worst after sales support. Owner incorrect in statement that I wouldn't discuss, listening to deflection of responsibility got old quick IN RESPONSE TO THE OWNER: Lot of revisions from owner and myself to review. Understand he had exclusions and I think the vehicle sold had some issues that should have been caught before delivery. I won't endorse this seller and he thinks I'm an awkward customer. I stand by my evaluation. Let the buyer beware. Cost me a couple hundred dollars and we're done. Car is good, sale was flawless. After sale service below expectation.

Evan at Murad turns out to be a liar.....when I purchased my vehicle he said in September/October he would provide me 4 used(70%)tires....he answered my call when I called only to avoid my calls after that...they seem shady as they moved from there Ajax location to Barrie after so many years of being in Ajax when I bought my car in June to all of a sudden packed up and gone without any notice like a shady operator. He turns out to be a huge disappointment and a typical "slick slimy" car salesman as he is a man of little moral character apparently and his word is garbage...my advise don't buy any cars from them or him as he will say whatever to make the sale then...goodbye Charly sincerely bitter buyer with regret

Over 40 years of buying cars, this is by far the most dishonest & unprofessional dealership/owner I have ever dealt with! My son & wife picked up the car - 2015 Nissan Versa Note everything went well for only a few days then on a rainy day she had no windshield wipers or headlights. They took the car back to the dealership. Jessy called a couple days later to get an update – was told the wrong part was sent. All said and done – she had lost the car for an entire week! Few days later another issue – they resolved that one themselves, then a few more days later some really weird stuff started happening and then the car wouldn’t start, Jessy had to call into work and tell them she was having car trouble on her second week of work. Dealership told us to bring the car back. Jessy explained to Matt (manager) the issues. We were concerned they would keep the car again for another week, that wasn’t going to be acceptable -she needed her car to get to work. I asked if I could speak to the owner and was told he was in the office to go on in. Morty Murad got right to the point, wanted to know what the problem was – so I ‘tried’ to tell him but something I said literally set him off. We did NOT yell, scream, use threats or foul language as a matter of fact we did not have a chance to say a whole lot. He shut us down very quickly and told us to leave, he said, they would do nothing for us. Again he said “leave, leave now or I will call the Police”! I was in total shock and said “go ahead”! He said “you don’t want me to do that because if I do – I will press charges”! When did it become a crime to complain about a purchase or business that you bought something from?? Except we didn’t even get a chance to do that. Two women in a USED car dealership must have really intimidated Morty, enough to threaten to call the cops on us! OR was it the other way around? Once we were finally able to just talk about the situation, Morty kept saying over and over “we are not here to rip people off and we are not criminals” his words not mine. He said this so many times during our conversation that I believe he was trying to convince himself of that rather than us. We were able to turn the conversation around and Morty reassured us that they would have the car repaired and that Jessy should deal with Matt going forward. Later that SAME day, Jessy received a call from Matt telling her that “the two things wrong with the car were not covered under the 30-day warranty, and there’s nothing else he could do”. She would have to deal with Morty going forward. He also told her that it would be easier and faster for her to get the car from the mechanic shop because he wasn’t sure when he would be able to get the car back - they were short staffed. He called around 4:45ish. I called the mechanic shop in the morning to find out what exactly was wrong with the car and why it wasn’t covered under the 30-day warranty. I was shocked when the mechanic that answered the phone told me that he had no idea what was wrong with the car because he didn’t even know the car was there, let alone inspected it! It had been towed in the evening before after they closed (which is 5 pm)! So, when Matt called Jessy to tell her that the two things wrong with the car were not covered – he had no idea what was wrong with the car as it had not even been looked at by a mechanic as a matter of fact it was still sitting on the dealership lot! It was towed to the mechanic shop after that – so that they didn’t have to deal with us anymore. What an absolutely diabolical thing to do! There is a ton of dealerships that you can purchase a used vehicle from in Barrie – do not walk away from this one - RUN!

Know that multiple 4 cylinders engine options were available for this vehicles model year I kindly asked again and he replied "I don't know go look at the sticker" being as that is was pouring rain outside and he clearly had the paper work available to him in the office this was not a great answer. Do not buy your car from here!! My girlfriend bought her car from here less than a year ago and already had to sink so much money into fixing the brakes, ac, door handle came off, window not going up. Everything seemed fine with the car when test driving it but within a week later everything started falling apart with the car. When my girlfriend bought the car she was told that nothing was wrong with the car and that everything in it had been replaced in order to safety it. Don’t waste your time going here they are only going to screw you over!!

UPDATE!! got a reply saying it would be unfair to customers..UNFAIR is letting some one travel 2hrs one way to say we are selling it to someone else , UNFAIR is THEN stating we dont hold cars after a 2 hr drive across the city on a Saturday .NOT SO FUNNY is when I talked with Mike Friday afternoon and he never mentioned that, knowing i would be in for a 2hr one way trip!! Or when i talked with Evan Saturday morning letting him know i would be 2 hrs and that i am on my way...did they say we wont wait we dont hold .NO. instead they tell me its available and to come on down. I sure wouldnt of put that much time into something that MIGHT be for sale.I dont think the owner knows anything about whats FAIR!!.... ORIGINAL POST..... Talked with Mike Friday afternoon about a 08 c.t.s. we discussed payment options and warranty.. explained i was 2 hrs away and would have to come on Saturday, he says no problem.. Saturday morning i call and talk with Evan, he informs me the 08 is available i tell him i am 2hrs away and leaving now. he says O.K. come on down.. i arrive 2 hrs later and they are selling the car to some one else, tell me they dont hold. 4hrs of wasted traveling time and they couldnt of cared less...

Be careful when buying a vehicle from these guys! My car was "safety" yet my headlight was out and caliper was not secured. The vehicle was at the mechanic right before it picked it up. There is no excuse for these things not to be working. Anyways, I took it back and they "fixed" it but now its occuring again. So, clearly they didnt fix the issue if it's happening again. Not only that but my transmission is going! Its been revving since i got it. So i took it into a shop to see if it was normal and they said my transmission is going.This will be reported to the ministry. They do not care about your safety while driving.
