F150 platinum Trim 2011 Day 2 sunroof track broke. Blendor actuator constantly clicking. No heat on passenger side. Reverse camera doesn't work half the time. Driver heated seat doesn't work. Bumper plastic trim falls off because all the clips are broken, which caused me to fall off my bumper and smash my ribs off the tailgate. I suffer from Autism Spectrum Disorder for the record. My truck was quickly repaired and everyone was quick to help. Sometimes things happen. No charge. Great work GD!

While on the lot I noticed I had a flat tire on my own car. I was directed to the service department by one of the salespeople where they had me back on the road fixed up in a matter of minutes. Hey I get it a dealership fixes cars that's their job, but the personal service and and overall attitude was not only first rate it was obviously part of the culture. Great dealership and lots of nice inventory with a great service department. Looks like a winner!

Something must be wrong with me? After reading all these reviews, it must be something wrong with me. i purchased a truck from them last February, i financed half of the vehicle. i got into an accident over christmas and my vehicle was written off. They have got payment for my vehicle over 3 months now, after numerous calls and being mislead i still haven't recieved any payment, or even a breakdown of my payments cant be provided to me. They were excellent when i bought my vehicle, but this has been a horrible experience. Please beware before purchasing anything from them. Wouldnt want this to happen to anyone. Luckily i had an extra vehicle!!

Lacking professionalism. I was about to buy a vehicle at another dealership when I saw a vehicle on the lot that caught my eye. I saw a sales representative on Thursday and took the car out for a test drive. I was ready to make a deal with GD Coats. Unfortunately the one and only guy that did financing was off that day. The sales guy seemed like he never sold a car before. Without even running my credit he was doing the calculations on his cellphone and telling me it would be in the $500 mark per month.... I asked him how do you come up with numbers he said it would probably be in the %19 mark for the loan.... then he told me I needed to go to Innisfil and cancel my agreement first before I can leave a despot on the car I was interested in.... I even asked him straight out "are you not in the business on selling cars"?... I told him to have his financing guy call me on Friday and I'll talk to him. Well Friday came and went, Saturday came and went, now it's Sunday.... I guess GD Coates doesn't want to sell cars... sorry Brandon I was ready to buy that Buick, but the lack of professionalism you showed me from your dealership scared me away. Oh, by the way I did walk away from that other dealership in innisfil and it was that night I saw you on Thursday and bought a vehicle at Barrie Ford. Guess what, it wasn't anywhere near $500 a month at %19! My advice to you is don't talk numbers to your future customers, and when a customer tells you he or she wants to buy a car, don't scare them away, and always make sure you call them back, or have someone else call back if your off the next day.

I went in to GD Coates looking for a truck, the truck that I wanted was a little bit out of my price range. A month later the dealership called me back, and told me they found a truck for me. I picked it up a week later. The staff were caring and understanding, not trying to push you into a vehicle you didn't need. I just wanted a plain Jane truck, and they found me that without trying to up-sell me. In fact, they found me ways to save money. Looking for new vehicle, check them out. if they don't have it, they'll find it!

All the staff worked together on the day I picked up my vehicle to ensure that I got to take it home that day. I Have purchased 2 vehicles, since no longer dealing with Coats, at amazing dealerships, under 10% interest rate...we had purchased 5 vehicles from Coats over the past decade..they NEVER lowered the rate of 18.4% even tho we had been longstanding customers with a great payment history. Which they never reported. This dealership is not going to help Ur credit situation.

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THESE PEOPLE! If I could give GD Coats a 0 star rating I would. Hands down the worst experience I've ever had dealing with a company, let alone a car dealership. I would not recommend buying a vehicle from these people for any reason. I had multiple issues with them and they didn't even care to call me back. Short version: they sold me a truck with the muffler held on with a plastic zip tie. Trying to get them to fix it was like trying to bleed a stone. They only admitted it was their fault and offered to fix it after I threatened to return the car under the 30 days Buyers Remorse return allowed by law. Long version: bought this truck for my mother. Paid $10k cash and drove off happy. 3 weeks into owning it, the muffler hit the ground while she was loading up the bed. Turns out they had used a white plastic zip tie to hold the muffler in place. I called them, furious but restraining my anger, and was met with cold responses with answers like "well I seriously doubt that" and "we would have caught that". Brian, the service manager, was EXTREMELY rude. He told me "we'll get to it when we get to it, we're busy here" and I replied with "if you don't fix this in the next 24 hours, considering it never should have left the lot in this condition, I'm returning the truck and filing a complaint with any company that will hear me". Only then did he prioritize the repair. The funny things is they sourced it to a third party muffler company in town anyway. I asked to speak to the General Manager of the dealership, and left my information multiple times. At the time of writing this review it's been 10 days since everything happened and I still haven't received a phone call. Their Sales Manager called me and finally admitted to their fault. "It must have been missed during the inspection". If you're able to miss something as blatant as a zip tie holding the muffler together, what else did you miss? I told him I want the dealership to do a bumper to bumper inspection and replace any other zip ties they may have hidden under there. After he was done laughing in my face he said, and I quote, "that's not going to f&^king happen". At this point I'm finished with this company. I'll be filing a BBB complaint as well as Google and Suzuki home office. DO. NOT. BUY. From GD Coats. You WILL be sorry.

We don't have the best credit but for sure it's not the worst. They advertise helping people with bad credit. We found a vehicle. Put a deposit and were told we would hear back the next day. The next day came and went , so did the new t day and the day after that. When I called Ted the sales rep he said ,oh I will have an answer for you by noon the next day. That day came and went and again so did the next day. Finally we went and got our deposit back and went to Bayfield Ford and bought a vehicle. Stay away from Coates and go see Patrick and Bayfield Ford

If you want to be treated with respect, get excellent value for your trade-in and NOT be condescended to because you are a woman shopping alone for a new vehicle, then this is the place for you! Sales Consultant Brandon Johnson was extremely patient as I test drove several vehicles (and told me about all the features of each from memory) until I found the one that suited my needs and my budget perfectly. The whole experience was seamless, with Sales Manager Duane Jones backing the sale up with a great attention to detail. If you go there, make sure you use my name, because they have also have a referral program. Highly recommended!!

My sister and I bought vehicles around the same time but I purchased mine from a different dealership and my sister from GD Coates. My car has had no issues to date. I have honestly never heard of a car requiring as much work in a short period after purchase as my sister's and many of the issues were dangerous to her's and her children's health and safety. To top this all off she bought the extended warranty which they stopped honoring. This experience has been a nightmare for her and I am heart broken she is going through this. NEVER purchase from them. Horrible.

Bought a truck 6 months ago.from here.BIG mistake.TO DATEi have spent close to 10.000 clams on nessasary parts and labour that passed through their garage.i opted out of their fantastic waranty ,which in my opinion was priced way to high.judging from other reviews im glad i did.i traded in a 2018 car with 45.000 on it.before i signed any papers some jackass is taking pictures of MY car talking to other dealers about it.very unprofessional in my opinion.ther is a time and a place. Especially when the customers are standing right ther.after i signed the papers it still was not good.im still waiting for that finance company downstairs to send me paper work releasing my truck after paying it off this month..prefered a cashiers check i think he said ...... sorry i prefer cash. Best Sales person EVER!! I needed to get a new car in a hurry. I have a lot of anxiety issues and shopping in any form is a pretty traumatic experience for me. Something as expensive as a car is a nightmare. I had the day off work to find a car. If I can save one person the headache I'm currently going through that would be worth the review. I bought a 2012 VW Tiguan in June of 2021. It was in their shop 4 times within the first 2 months. The car was returned every time in the same condition it was taken in for but I was told the issue was fixed. I finally said I did not want the car anymore in September and tried to return it to G.D coats. In the beginning they accepted but proceeded to hold the car and the money for the car, for more then 2 weeks, giving excuses of why the cheque for the vehicle was not ready. In the end, after refusing to remove my negative reviews of my experiences from the web they told me they were not going to take the car back and I had to pick up the car. It is only 7 months later and the car is undrivable and I am back on the market looking for a new car. If I can get sold a car that wont last a year and should never have been sold, so can you! Beware of this place.

Came from Toronto the to view a Ford ranger. It was a nice change from the city as a lot of the stuff here is normally beat up. Prices were a bit higher then the city but you can immediately see why. The reconditioning of these vehicles is amazing, every vehicle on the lot looks brand new. It’s been a couple months since I bought the ranger and have not had any issues. I just recieved my second follow up call which I thought was amazing and it encouraged me to write a good review. Great service, great product but most of all amazing people.

I brought a car there, in November of last year (9 months ago). The car has needed a new transmission, has a leak in the fuel line, the front right axle its making a noise everytime I break and now the check engine light is on again. I have only put 10k km on the car in this nine month period, and I am sick of having to continually repair a car I have owned for such a short time and dont want anyone else to be sold a lemon like I was.

I called ahead and spoke with a sales man regarding a specific vehicle since I was travelling 100 kms to come view it. He promised to let me know if it sold before I got there (he even called me back the day before to make sure I was still coming). Sure enough, I arrived and vehicle had been sold. Had the sales man kept his promise I would have arranged to come a different day when I had more time to view/research the other vehicles in their lot. He wasted almost 4 hours of my time plus gas money and didn't even apologize. Extremely disappointed with the quality of service provided. Do not waste your time here like I did. Sales people are only looking for a sale.

G.D. Coates subverted my expectations and gave me more than I could have hoped for. I walked in with $1500 in savings, and credit that wasn't bad but wasn't stellar either. I was expecting to be told to come back in five or six months and instead within 24 hours I drove away with a 2013 Kia. Not only did G,D. Coates get me financed they also got me an extended warranty. The staff went above and beyond my expectations and really helped me out. I look forward to buying from them again.

My 83 year old grandma just bought a car here from Dan Snow. When she picked it up the car was empty. She hardly made it home from Barrie to Innisfil before the gas light clicked on. Nice, cant even fill the car for an 83 year old women who just spent over 10k on a used car. Make sure you tell them you want your car filled if you dont want your first stop to be a gas station. Not impressed.

Place is a complete scam. Took my vehicle there as suggested by a warranty company. They wanted to charge me 2 hours labour at 110 an hour to scan a code in my vehicle. I fixed the problem in 20 minutes and had the code reset for free.

Asked to test drive a car that I was buying and told to put a down payment and I can drive it.. Then told to wait I can test drive it.. Waited 2 weeks now to test drive the vehicle I wanted to buy.. I filled out All the paper work. But if I can't test drive it I'm not buying it.. How ridiculous.

My husband came here to service our Suzuki and these so called professionals completed the job with the transmission dip stick on 3 inches more than what it should be ( last dot on H while hot ) he spent the latter of the day hours underneath the car with his local mechanic ( so much for Suzuki genuine dealer) to drain the excess oil and also to his surprise, finding torn plastic under splash guard AND loose bolts. How unsafe and unprofessional. They also up sold him a canister of MORE transmission oil which was unnecessary. He spent money expecting professional service and a good overall job! Steer clear from this location!

Beautiful lot, was in about a month ago looking for a deisel truck. I was greeted by a young guy named Brandon who was extremely friendly and helpful. They didn’t have the truck I was looking for but they do have a lot of vehicles and you could tell they take pride in the lot. Would defiantly recommend and will keep them in mind for future.
