Have you ever called in and tried to get service? I can tell you from having worked there for a little over a week that the reason you can't get ahold of service is because they don't answer the phones. When you call and are put on hold, it recycles back every minute, so when you hear it ring and then you get put on hold, its because its an automatic thing. Its not someone ignoring you, well it could be service ignoring you, but it certainly is not reception. Reception has so many things to do that if you are on hold a little longer than expected, they are trying their best to make sure you are taken care of. Reception has so much to do that if your call isn't answered the first time you call, they are sorry, and would be happy to answer your call if you were to call back a few minutes later. The people in service are really great, but honestly if you can get ahold of another Kia's service the first time you call, I would recommend taking your car to any other Kia, service is just too difficult to get a hold of.

I just recently purchased a 2021 Kia Sorento and the process was very easy even during Covid. Within the span of a week I went from test drive to driving off the lot with my vehicle. I dealt with a sales rep named Stephanie and she was fantastic. There was never any pressure, my questions were answered quickly, and we were able to do most of the process through email. The vehicle itself has been amazing so far. Lots of tech, great size, and great pricing compared to comparable SUVs from other brands. The Aruba Green color has been a head turner and one of the first things people mention when they see it. This was my first time buying a new vehicle and very happy with how everything went.

We spoke with David and Shawn directly and they went above and beyond to understand my frustrations and help my Family and I get in to the car we wanted. Actually a level up at the same price point we had been looking in to. I would have completely removed my previous comment but I truly believe that the best reviews are when someone was able to completely change a bad experience in to a good one. Huge thank you to both Shawn and David for helping us navigate through the stressful experience of purchasing a new vehicle and making sure we did not leave with a sour taste in our mouths. just had the worst car dealer experience here. Sales associate was completely unhelpful, uneducated on the vehicle and gave incorrect information and tried to charge us for something labeled as included making the price shown online lower then what they would sell the car for at this location. They also said we would be buying the test car but paying the new car price. Very disappointed and upset. Will update post if things change. We will hopefully see another person to discuss a potential purchase.

He secured an excellent deal with the bank and also put us two Kia Sportage models higher than we originally signed on. Somehow he managed to also make our payments cheaper by $13 bi-weekly for the Kia that was two models higher which has an msrp thousands of dollars higher than the two models below! I'm amazed that something like that was even possible. In addition to that he made possible a smooth delivery well in advance than the expected date. Jason was amazing he walked us through everything, was easy to talk to and was super apologetic when we had an issue with the license plate. I recently had a service done and found out I had a nail in my rear tire. Jason, Kevin and David in services and parts are my saviours for getting me new rims to put winter tires on, and helping me to get my winter tires on fast as the rear tire needed to be replaced and I could not find a replacement tire. All the staff at barrie kia are absolutely amazing, friendly and easy to talk to. I loved kia before I bought my car and I am happy I chose to purchase from kia! June 23 I took a day off work and went to a Kia dealership in Toronto, and all I felt when I left was like my sale was worthless and not worth the time. I was nervous to go into another dealership, but talked myself into trying. On June 27th I went to meet with Stephanie Lawrence, who ended up being my sales rep. 5 minutes into talking to her she already made me feel like my sale was worth her time, and 5 more minutes got my business. After that she introduced me to the general manager (ash), who did everything in his power to get me exactly what I wanted and had it delivered in exceptional timing. If it wasn't for Steph and Ash's incredible work and customer service I probably still wouldn't have a car. My reverse camera started acting up about 6 months ago in my 2013 Kia Rio. I decided to replace it as I plan on keeping the car for a few months. After replacing with my regular mechanic, the camera was intermittent. My mechanic suggested I take it to Kia to have them check it over as maybe there were upgrades required that he was unaware of. I called Kia and they were busy due to winter tire change overs (understandable). The next available appointment was two weeks away, but they could get it in to have the full day to trouble shoot. I was told that it would take an hour to diagnose and then we could go from there. I agreed to move forward and signed up for the available time slot. When I dropped off the car at 8:30am for the appointment, I noticed my phone number was wrong on the invoice, so I wrote it down for them to update in the system. Around lunch time, I thought it was strange that they hadn't called, but I was staying optimistic (figured they had worked on it and it was an easy fix). I called in the early afternoon, and couldn't get through to the service department after several tries (too busy to answer the transfer from reception). I left a message with the receptionist and she said someone from service would call me as soon as they were available. I made sure to leave my number with the receptionist just in case they were calling the old number. I didn't hear anything. I called again at 4:30pm as I was getting ready to head over and pick it up, I FINALLY got a hold of service and they said that the mechanic would take a quick look at it - meaning that they hadn't looked at it the entire day it had been there. She said it would be fast and they would call me back by 5pm. 6pm came and I hadn't heard from anyone so I decided to call back again. This time, I find out that the service centre had closed at 5pm. Apparently, they tried calling me on the wrong number - ERRRRR. Also, I was told that they didn't have enough time to diagnose the problem, and I would need to bring my car back in (NOT HAPPY). When I went in to pick up my car, I asked if the service manager was in. He was not, so I asked that he call me the next day. I had a few questions for the receptionist (General Kia related questions); however, she was unable to help so she got the Sales Manager. I asked the Sales Manager the questions, and he did not know the answers. He made some notes and promised to get back to me the next day. Because our conversation was going well, I decided to tell him my story from the day and he understood why I had been frustrated. He took down my information and said he would pass it along to the Sales Manager. He also told me that he would call me back the next day with the answers to my questions. Fast forward to today (2 days later), and no one has reached out to me. Super disappointed in the customer service experience with this location. The only reason why I am giving the overall dealership a 2 star rating is because my experience when purchasing the car was positive (guess it always is when you are spending ~$30k).

Drove an hour to this dealership to buy a used car. After hearing repeatedly that it would be ready in a few days, i waited over a month for the car to be read and paid the insurance for a car i didn’t have. After, speaking with the manager Ash he took care of it promptly and even refunded our insurance payment for the month. Great public relations! Reasonable and easy to communicate with. If Ash wasn’t here, we wouldn’t be either.

Had my oil change here today. The appointment is at 9:30 and I arrived at 9:35. The service supervisor took my car key at 9:41 and told me it takes 45 minutes to 1 hour to finish the job. Because of Covid, I had to wait outside in the snow. Found a place with no wind near the service gate where cars go in. At 10:16, they drove my car into the gate, that's when I had been waiting in the snow for over half hours. Finally I got car back at 11:16. Waiting time here is just long. Had a very hard time for service in winter time.

Wow, where do I start. This establishment is under new management. All the good reviews must be from the sales agents friends and family, because my girlfriend got taken advantage of EVERY step of the way. 1. They made her pay a $2500 deposit on a 16,000 dollar car! That’s unheard of! 2. They made her pay that deposit and SIGN for a new car while delaying to show her the value of her car! Which was a slap in the face at the value. 3. They told us that they would scrap the car. FALSE! They do in house financing. There would be no way they’d scrap it! 4. They didn’t even sell her a brand new car, it was a demo! (Not what she asked for). 5. Sales agent Stephanie doesn’t even know how to do her job properly, or is trying to do the shadiest job possible. Argued with me and told me I was wrong that paying your car off early doesn’t hurt your credit. It does actually. It gives you a higher utility ratio this could give your score a ding. 6. Stephanie told Nicole they couldn’t get her the deposit back by loading it right onto her card she’d have to WAIT. She argued again saying it wouldn’t give Nicole credit interest..... yeah obviously it would. She said she had no idea why??? Maybe because it’s gaining interest in their account sitting there! It’s been two weeks she said it would take one. I called today and the manager that’s supposed to deal with this isn’t in today... of course. 7. They will take you like you have fool written across your forehead. It’s almost comical seeing these people conduct what they call work. Their ethics are filthy and I’m just spraying some windex for the next young couple that goes in there. 8. The only person there that helped us was Doug. Everyone else there is going to blow smoke up your you know what.

Bought a Niro Here in 2019, they were very scattered and lost my down payment. Whatever things happen, I like the product. Came back to Trade it in and made a deal for a Telluride. I really enjoy Kia's products but I'm done with this dealership. Submitted info for financing they said they would call when it was approved. Waited a week and called them.....no response....left messages .....no response. almost two weeks and nothing. Went in and they were too busy to speak with me so i left a message at the desk to call me. I finally got a text that day, saying that i would be contacted in a couple hours. No one called......almost feel like I went on a date with Kia and now they are ghosting me. I guess you got what you wanted out of me and now you don't want to deal with me anymore. Anyways I pulled the deal and Im shopping elsewhere. Financing was approved and i just wanted someone to let me know. Maybe theres a Kia dealership out there that knows how to use any form of communication. I'm even cool with email.

GREAT JOB Barrie Kia! I want to say I have never had so many people take the time to reach out to me and make sure all of my needs were met. I currently drive a Kia Optima 2012, very well maintained. Then one evening my engine malfunctioned for no apparent reason. After investigating the cause I found that my car, year, and model was called for an engine recall. I had my car towed to Kia Barrie of which they were able to approve a new engine for me. However, it did take a little longer than I would have liked it too about 3 weeks, and I experienced some miscommunication with the service desk. But I was beyond impressed by the efforts made by Rajesh to ensure I left a happy customer, and he even provided me with a complimentary oil change to apologize for the delay even though it was something he could not have had much control over. Thanks so much I will definitely be sharing my amazing experience with Barrie Kia! Looking forward to my next visit!

I had a car issue driving back from up north to my home in Kitchener. We had a car packed full from our trip and a young toddler so I had to bring It to the closest Kia dealer which was in Barrie. Upon arriving the shop was packed and super busy and I was in quite a pickle being so far from home. Jim Barrett was amazing. A reassuring voice that he would do anything in his power to get it looked at with my situation despite how tight their schedule was with all the cars coming from up north. I thank Jim Barrett and the service team for finding the issue and correcting it in a timely manner (luckily was nothing major) . Stay away from this dealership!! I regret dealing with this dealership. I was lied to from the beginning and didn't realize until it was too late. I've tried on numerous occasions via email, text, calls and appearances to the dealership only to be given the run around or completely ignored!! When I purchased my 2021 Sportage, I was told my SUV would have certain features and when I received my SUV, NONE of the features were there, my SUV already had almost 500km on it, my SUV was not clean, literally the list goes on!!! The worst part is my previous vehicle was apparently being sent out for scrap and I was given $200.00 for scrap, turned around and found out thanks to an OnStar email and Google for a VIN check that my apparent scrap vehicle was sold for over $6,000.00. I've never ever encountered a dealership that treats you nice in the beginning and stabs you in the back. I even called the Kia head office and they refuse to help. Run before you get taken advantage of, I absolutely hate to see someone in my predicament.

They're meh, just have always had issues with every Kia dealership. Still waiting on the one in guelph to call for when the parts to come in for taillights to be replaced due to a recall with moisture.. that was well over a year ago... an when I phoned after 7 months not hearing anything I got told you don't need to call us, will call you when the parts arrive. Such a joke... just not pleased an won't be buying a Kia again.

Updated review. I have mixed feelings about Bay City. They have lot better people in the Service department now and really appreciate the attention to detail, when ever I have a concern about my car. I am not car savvy and know nothing about cars, so I want a place I can trust. Chad the service manager took my previous concerns and really did his best to correct them, which he did. So I really appreciate that! Chuck one of the technicians, is absolutely amazing. He took me out in my car and explained every noise I heard that made me concerned and let me know the details about why it does what it does. My faith is restored in the service department, but the sales office let me down this time around. I looked into a trade in on my current car (that I had purchased from Bay City Kia) and I felt as though I was not taken seriously. They were not willing to work with anything I was asking and turns out (from another Kia, where I did my trade in) that they were trying to charge me for something that is supposed to be included on every Kia Purchase! Sneaky and very bad business practice. I took my car else where and got what I was wanting and received the offer I was originally looking for. I wish it had worked out better, but it is what it is. If I return to this dealership it will just be for the service department and that's it.

Went in on Thursday to inquire about a very intriguing vehicle that I knew absolutely nothing about. WHY DO YOU NOT HAVE YOUR MOST EXPENSIVE MODEL INSIDE THE SHOWROOM??????? I spent over ten minutes looking at it outside, while sales reps were just walking past me. Not one of them even said hi to me, never mind asked whether or not I needed help. Surprising, as dealers are usually sharks. So I went inside and luckily, stumbled upon Kayla. She's the only reason I'm giving three stars, although let's make this clear, on her own, she's getting ten, while the rest of the dealership would get zero. She was very professional, knowledgeable, and when she wasn't sure about something, eager to go the extra distance and get me more info. And I'm not your usual customer. I hammer dealers with insanely technical questions and point out design flaws. She remained professional during our entire conversation and kept doing her job like a pro. If I were the owner of this place, you would be seeing a brand new team of sales reps starting this Monday, except for Kayla. If or when I decide to buy this vehicle, I will not deal with anyone except her. Hopefully, Kia will sort out a few ever so negligently overlooked details on this otherwise amazing vehicle and it will be completely worth the price tag that comes with it.

We made a 10:00 am appointment to change the oil and check the steering on our Kia vehicle. This was our first visit to this Kia dealership so we arrived at 9:50 am, registered, and gave the service manager the keys, and went to sit down. At 10:50 we noticed that the car had not moved so I asked how much longer, and he wasn't sure. At 11:00 still nothing, so we asked for our keys back and told him that we had a 1:00 o'clock appointment in Midland that we couldn't miss and we will take our business elsewhere. They will never see us again. Poor poor first impression.

Absolutely abysmal customer service from the sales person. Didn't even ask my name or take my information down when I came in, and while I know everyone is hurting for inventory right now based on my shopping I didn't need to be brushed off the way I did. I was greeted by an older gentleman, I checked the website and his name seems to be Scott, who didn't seem interested in dealing with me at all when I asked to see the 2015 Optima that they have on their website. Feeling a little defeated after a while I opted to maybe seek out the manager, looking on the website I believe it was Kal sitting in one of the offices I was trying to get the attention of, but he was too busy watching something on his phone to even look up when I said "excuse me". I would not recommend this location for service. There was so much wrong, and each time we brought our vehicle for service they did nothing to fix the issue. We brought it to Orillia Kia for a second opinion after one visit with them and they ended up fixing a few things saying it should have been seen from Barries tech's. Issue after issue they've done nothing. So from now on we are going to another Kia. Not to mention one visit when they said it would be about 2 hours. It took 8+ and all they did was an oil change. The service writer "forgot" to call us when it was done. Same thing again last visit. She forgot to call us and it was there for a whole extra day as we were told to wait for her to call. Called after 48 hours to see what was happening and to follow up, she said she once again "forgot" and was busy. The only reason I will be dealing with this Kia right now is Mercedes has done a lot of work on getting us into the vehicle we wanted. (Not a kia.) We don't want her hardwork to be thrown out the window.

Well... started out not so good..My review would have been only one star., but in the end I was somewhat satisfied and impressed with the new management..I was having a A/C problem with my 2017 Kia Sportage. (had cool air on Drivers side, but warm air on Passengers side). I went to this dealer in Barrie, as I thought, no use wasting money , go right to the dealer, they know the vehicle. Coming from Midland, it took a number of trips and I paid $500, but the problem was not fixed. But then the new management got involved ( Ryan Kelly) and they stuck by their new motto “fixed right first time for a complete customer satifaction experience”. Well, sort of,.... they went so far as to rent me a vehicle until the problem was fixed. They paid for the entire rental (5 days), and I was not charged any more $$$, even thou they worked to find the problem for numerous days. And after 8 trips from Midland to Barrie, it was fixed. ( a door in the dash was not closing properly ) My thanks to Ryan, Gino, Maura and Steve (the mechanic). I was notified that they have since hired 2 master Kia techs. which should help avoid this kind of situation.

I've bought a lot of cars in my life (13 to be exact...) And I never write reviews (0 to date), but I just got home from Barrie Kia and had to say something about this place. From start to finish this whole process was seamless. I picked a car, they told me the price. I told them what I needed the price to be, they got me as close as they could on the first shot. Paperwork was done in a jiffy and even though the car wasn't supposed to be ready until Thursday, they called me today and said if I'm free I can come by and pick it up today. Seriously, when does that ever happen? And I've never seen a used car look so brand new before. Showroom detailing at its finest!! If you do go there, make sure you somehow get Chad the manager involved. His fingerprints were all over this sale and I can't thank him enough for making good on his promise to get me the car as soon as possible. If I ever need to buy car number 14, I already know where I'm going to go. I just hope it's not too soon, this habit of mine is expensive. Anyways.... Thanks for reading.

I've had to replace my engine twice at a coat of $9800 both times and the first time is was 97KM over my warranty! Now it's got the mystery "not starting" problem that nobody can fix. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I walked into Kia on Tuesday to purchase a used car with a reasonable budget of $20,000. I was introduced to a salesman- who did not ask my name and advise he could not help me when my budget would not change. The website does not provide the cost of vehicles, so I was forced to converse with this person who treated me poorly, with such disrespect and refused to assist me with options within my budget. I was there for less than 5 minutes, however, the emotional impact of this experience was more than awful. I left feeling defeated, but I refused to allow this to prevent me from buying a car. I went to Hyundai and purchased my vehicle under my budget THAT DAY! Thanks Glen at Hyundai. The 1 star rating does not accurately reflect my experience. I give Barrie Kia 0 stars.

I knew it would be different when Nick approached me and offered to take me out in two different Sorento's to see which one would suit me best. Nick and Dave listened to what I was asking of them and worked with me to get a vehicle. When I picked up my vehicle, I had to go to an appointment. Nick called me and said to come back when worked for me and he would give me a lesson on the features. I showed up on Saturday, and Nick made time for me and I left with my questions answered. Definitely worth the drive from up North.

My experience there was exceptionally positive because of Jim Prince, my sales consultant, who was genuine, down-to-earth, listened to my needs/circumstance, and showed me my options clearly and without any pressure or rush. He also was very knowledgeable about both the vehicles, various options, and finances. I went in initially to gather information, possibly test drive vehicles, and compare with another company's options. I ended up buying a vehicle from Jim later that day after comparing because I felt very confident I was getting an excellent deal financially, the vehicle was even better than I had hoped for, and Jim is an honourable, trustworthy sales consultant. Also, the General Manager, ended up offering me a really good deal on the higher up model, with extra "bells and whistles" that I wasn't planning on getting, but am now really glad I did. So I highly recommend Barrie Kia, and Jim Prince to help you, when looking for a vehicle.

Was very frustrated and demanded to speak with a manager, and got my answer to my question in under 10 seconds. I know its a busy time but 3+ days and multiple messages later, it was quite frustrating.

I didn't even have the opportunity to experience their "service" - after two days of trying to get ahold of the service department and not receiving any calls back, I ended up cancelling my appointment all together. I will continue to drive to Orillia to visit the service department at the Kia Dealership there. Updated March 26, 2021 - The new GM, Chad is incredibly easy to work with and takes ownership of anything going on in his dealership. Jerod Harrylal was an absolute pleasure to work with and one of the most integral salesmen I have ever worked with. As long as Chad and Jerod work at this location, they will have my confidence and loyalty.
