The sales associate that helped us was Josh Newton, who facilitated a no pressure sales environment that helped us narrow the search down to one 2013 Hyundai Santa fe that we now proudly own. I am in the market for my first car purchase. I spoke with Jeff. We discussed challenges I may face during financing because I'm on EI right now due to Covid. My job is stable and pays well but with my lack of "income" my options were affected. I do have approximately $10,000-$15,000 cash so I knew there had to be some way to make something work (I was looking at a $17,000 vehicle + tax). When I was trying to brainstorm my options, and considering the cash route, Jeff for some reason wanted to keep recommending me more expensive vehicles. Because he makes more money by financing than he does doing cash. I know this, because I did my homework. That was okay, I guess. Not the end of the world. I know how to say no. It would've been nice to feel like he actually had my best interests at heart though. When I left he told me to text him and that he's very responsive, which I figured he would be since there was nobody else dealing with him at the time. I went out to my car to fill out my pre-approval form (which took him 1 minute to send me) and I waited about 40 minutes with no response to my text questions. Again, that's okay. Maybe he was busy and I was just too impatient. After waiting a little longer I texted again and asked "is there anyone more responsive you could put me in touch with? I'm hoping to get this sorted ASAP" - as it was already 5:30 pm. I had just driven all the way here from Orillia, too. His response (which again, only took about a minute) was "you're not my only customer, you can wait your turn".... Not a quick answer to my questions... not "I'm just tied up with a customer right now, let me get back to you"... not anything courteous whatsoever. He was smug and uninterested in me or my needs. He put 5 minutes into searching for a car and didn't even bother asking me questions. He clearly had better things to do. I actually called back to cancel my pre-approval request after this. I will never in my entire life buy a damn thing off this guy. You expect me to make the biggest purchase of my life from your car dealership but you can't be bothered to even respond in a timely fashion or speak to me with respect? Absolute trash. You're just like all the other car salesmen. Ridiculous.

Well now! what can we say about Gordon...there is so much to share! Gordon has the patience of a saint and had many times to put that great strength into practice with my overly cautious husband. We had been driving the same vehicle since new 2005 so this was not an easy sale. We visited Autopark Barrie so many times, I think the other sales people thought we would never buy a vehicle - professional tire kickers - making comparisons. Yes we did visit other dealerships but the words 'sleazy car salesman' spring to mind. However, we proved his associates wrong and we did buy and I believe that is only because Gordon is Gordon. He has the "3 P's" which I believe are key in sales - Personality, Patience and Professionalism [I am a realtor so I know people]. He has a kindly easygoing manner, and yet professional to a T. He knows his product and instead of pushing a purchase on us, he let us make our own decision and once that was done IT WAS DONE! I love our new Chevy Equinox! It was very fairly priced, in good shape and with low mileage which is key in my business. It needed a couple of things attended to and Gordon made sure these were done. I would not have made this deal had I known it would cost me additional money to upgrade the Navigation Package $250. The dealership should inform buyers they may have additional cost when buying high end vehicles. They did not offer to compensate me or split the difference. Unimpressed with manager!

The loan company they dealt with for our vehicle decided they wanted to withdraw payment on a Monday instead of the Friday as instructed and approved on the paperwork. They still are yet to remove their mistake from our credit and it has drastically impacted the remortgage of our home. Unacceptable that a simple miscommunication or a complete lack of regard for a signed deal can impact someone's life so poorly. Until this is rectified I have no intention of changing this review. Everyone makes mistakes..but when those mistakes drastically impact someone's life and financials its imperative it gets sorted in a timely manner..and it has clearly not happened since they were notified of this mistake. Desjardins is the financing bank in question. Autopark may not have been completely at fault or at all.. who knows.. but they are the ones we signed the deal with.

I was immediately struck by the lack of sales pressure, as we were able to roam the lot freely to peruse the stock of vehicles before being approached by a sales representative. The sales rep who offered assistance that day was Ian Donnelly. I was impressed with Ian's overall demeanor, in particular his respect and care while working with my mother, establishing clearly what she specifically wanted in a vehicle. He directed her toward several vehicles that fit her needs, efficiently addressing her questions about each vehicle and taking the time to point out the features/details of each, while staying within her price point. While I was not specifically in the market that day for a new/used vehicle, I had nonetheless been thinking about the possibility of having to take that leap as my Honda was approaching 420,000KM. As fate would have it, I happened to come across a vehicle on the lot that same day that ticked all the boxes for me. I felt very comfortable taking that leap with Ian, given his honesty and the care that he had taken while working with my mother. Ian truly made the experience of buying a used vehicle feel like we were purchasing brand new ones! I also have to give a shout out for Shannon, who took care of tidying up all the business ends smoothly and efficiently, and Len in the Service Department. Whereas the dealership- after 30 minutes!- never showed us a car, once at AutoPark we were shown a row of our chosen brand, year and model - they had 20 or 30 late model, low mileage Chevy Cruzes! Josh was polite, personable and thoroughly knowledgeable about the cars. We NEVER felt rushed or anything that was not 100% honest... And we have an advance sense of BS radar. We will buy our cars from here from now on... Because brand new cars are a waste of money... There were some gorgeous cars there!

I used the online chat service to explain my needs and price range and was urged to make an appointment with a salesperson. I was mobile that day and took advantage of the opportunity to check out a new car. It was a 40 minute drive to the location and when I arrived they had no clue i was coming and didn't see this "reservation" in their system. When they dug in deeper the found who made the reservation and hmmphed as if to say.. well it was her again, she always messes these things up. When they finally got someone to help me he asked my budget and when I told him he said they don't even carry vehicles in that price. So why was I allowed to make an appointment in the first place? I told the person online the same budget I told the salesman in the store... why didn't she say they don't have cars in my budget and save me 80 minutes of driving?? Fail. I just read this review back a few years after I posted it and its still bothering me how they handled my needs. I've since bought a car and have told numerous friends colleagues and customers to not go to this location themselves. Some of the stories I've heard about them were quite a bit worse then my own!

Karl was eager and polite throughout my purchasing experience. I knew the exact car I wanted so it wasn't a tough sale on anyone's part but he did everything he could to make me feel welcome. The reason I don't give a full 3 stars is do to the add-ons they try to pressure you into taking near the end of the sale. It's very much strategic and making them sound like things you need to have. Most of it is a big scam and you are better off avoiding any of those products. All in all it was a good experience and I would buy from them again.

Very great customer service and cars! I drove from Toronto to Barrie to look at three vehicles, all of them looked exactly how they did in the pictures - no deception what so ever. Duane Depass was very welcoming and did not make me feel pressured to buy a car, he also did not hover over me while I was inspecting the cars and taking them for a test drive. I ended up putting a deposit down on one of the cars and was told it should hopefully be ready the same week or possibly the week after as they had sold many cars that day. I ended up phoning in on Thursday to get an update or eta on when the car would be ready and left my name and phone number with the manager who answered the phone. He called me back within 2 minutes with an answer and the answer I wanted which was that my car will be ready for pick up Friday or Saturday. He was also very pleasant and had great customer service. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family. Very Impressed and worth the drive!

Excellent car buying experience with Colin at Autopark Barrie. I set up times to test drive in advance. The cars were clean and ready to go when I arrived. Colin was extraordinarily informed about the details of the different cars and features. A Carfax report was readily available on each car and there was no pressure. The list price is the price and it includes the safety check. There is no haggling (and you won't get anywhere if you try). Their cars are listed on CarGurus and Autotrader so you can see the ratings which will tell you if it is a good deal or not. I did my research and I am really happy with my purchase. Something I had not considered on a used car before but decided to go with was an extended warranty - due to the age and electronic features on the car I purchased. Once again no pressure (but don't go with the first quote). This is a good option for a used car that you cannot get with a private sale.

Over priced! We found the exact same vehicle in better condition for $2500 less at the dealership next to it. They put a clearance tag on the vehicle we were looking at two months later without changing the price...I would't really call that clearance. On my most recent trip to AutoPark Barrie, I was happy with the service I received. I was a previous customer (having bought my last vehicle there) but had had negative experiences in the past. When I arrived, Spencer was a great help and had the vehicle I booked a test drive in, ready for me. That vehicle ended up not being the one for me, but Spencer was eager to find me something I would enjoy, and spent the time going through other options with me. Upon choosing one to see, he went to get it ready. The manager and Spencer returned very excited to show me a different vehicle they had just got in that they thought I would enjoy. This meant a lot to me because last time I was in I had been let down by the service. I test drove this vehicle and loved it! Spencer was great about helping me with the paperwork needed and setting up a time to do a special meet to drop off the car. I was much happier with the service this time and was very impressed at their efforts to right the wrong from the previous time. Spencer was a wonderful employee and I really appreciate all he did to help me with my uneasiness about buying another vehicle. I found them to be a bit over priced, and pushy. They over charged me $50 on rust proofing, and they installed the wrong break pads. A few days after the purchase, it sounded like the whole front end was falling apart every time I went to brake. To their credit, they fixed the problem immediately, and I have had no other problems with the vehicle.. I've now driven the vehicle 150,000km and it just passed it's first e-test with flying colours.

All I can say from an ex car salesman perspective is that I would not buy a vehicle from here. There is such a quick dislodgemen between the sales rep and you as soon as he finds out that you are on to him. No regard for earning your business let alone basic respect to all future customers listen to me , i used to sell cars , half of these reviews are internally generated and as for their prices of the vehicles? Nothing wrong with it, only problem is that they will gouge you on your trade in and give you what I estimated to be at 25-30% markdowns.so what seems to be a good deal on your new vehicle is just smoky mirrors because of the markdown on the trade in . As for customer service ? Horrid. The sales manager who was too"busy " to talk to me after my sales rep said so(because the deal went sour after he offered 4500 for my 2010 charger(originally 5000) after he noticed a crack on my windshield which was quoted to replace for 230 tax in. They wont even give you a fair deduction on a crack on a windshield let alone on the vehiclr as a whole. Manager did not seem keen on earning my business or trying to resolve situation just smart ass remarks after i told him i was an ex dealer and had my OMVIC certification . Crooks straight up. Want to lol st the response i will get from the owner probably stating that i was never on their "records". Came there specifically because they had a truck that was 3200 less than another one at another dealership (same year trim but double kms price was 258 bi weekly for 72 mo. Their price came oit to 330 bi weekly. How is that possible when the reason i came there was for the 3200 less which should of made the payments 236 -243 bi weekly MAX. Numbers dony lie especisly when were talking straight price barely any adjustments. TLDR Came to dealership looking for vehicle that was 3200 cheaper than my other choice woth double kms. Ended up paying almost $80 more bi weekly for 72 months on a truck that was cheaper. Makes sense? Dosnt to me an ex car salesman. Disregard response from owner as it is just systematic and unhuman with no empathy or regard. Good day

I purchased a vehicle from AutoPark Barrie last fall. My sales person was Ivan he was a bit pushy. I had asked for air filter to be changed because it was disgusting. Ivan had assured me it would be and the car would be detailed. When I got there to pick the vehicle up, the air filter had not been changed and Ivan's response was "well it's only a $50 part, you can do it." The vehicle also was not detailed and spots in the seat and roof that were supposed to be removed were not. If you are going to promise a customer something, you should follow through on it. A few things on the vehicle barely passed safely so after only having the vehicle for 2.5 weeks I was doing repairs. My bill at the dealership was $1,000. It is very disappointing to buy a vehicle and have to spend another $1,000 less than a month after buying it. The tires the vehicle came with were almost bald. After the sale, Ivan did send me an email to see if I was happy. I voiced my concerns and I never heard from him again. In my opinion, all they cared about was making a sale. I was just another sale to meet their monthly quota.

Before purchasing my vehicle they were great! The finance manager seemed great and knew what he was talking about. But....Terrible customer service after you purchase your vehicle!! I have left several voice messages with no reply. And NEVER fall for the First Canadian warrantee - it is a waste of money. They told me it was a $100 deductible which it is really $200. NOT WORTH the $4000 extended coverage as they only cover PARTS of the repairs - example for a wheel berring they do not cover all costs and over 100$ additional was added to my bill. This was NOT explained when purchasing and felt pressured into getting the extended warranty. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM HERE AGAIN! WARNING FOR ALL NEW CUSTOMERS!!

We purchased a 2017 Tucson from Barrie Auto Park almost 2 years ago. It was a very unpleasant purchase We were and still are very unhappy with the vehicle , but have managed to pay it off and would like to get back into a van. I spoke with Samantha this am and due to me voicing my unhappiness with the last purchase, 2 years ago, she has advised me that Darren, the finance manager, has denied any opportunity to purchase from this dealership. The opportunity to remedy the last purchase , and any further business from myself or my family, isn't welcome. This is disappointing. After 2 years of paying off this vehicle, we have brought our business back to this dealership, looking to get back into what we had before and they are denying any help in achieving this goal. We have quite frankly worked 2 years at obtaining. Faithfully paying our loan, even when things went downhill with COVID-19. Like everyone else making sure we were fulfilling our obligations to the bank and the debt. I am heart broken and disappointed in how this situation has turned out. This is not a great way to help your fellow man. So so disappointed in this dealership. UPDATE: AFTER MY REVIEW I WAS CONTACTED BY THE GM FOR WHAT I WOULD DESCRIBE AS DAMAGE CONTROL. HE EAGERLY ESTABLISHED CINTACT WITH SOMEONE AT THE DEALERSHIP TO ASSIST ME. WE WENT ELSEWHERE. BOUGHT WHAT WE WANTED AND THEN SOME. NO ISSUES WHAT SO EVER. So i went to AutoPark in Barrie dealt with a gentleman.... I will never go back to this place again I explained to the salesman what I needed to be done and why he said " that's not a problem were here to help you out " I felt at the time that i went to the right place .... I was wrong... I got my car in march and found out that i'm not even on the loan and my car did not come with any warranty it wasn't even offered my plan was to get a reliable car and boost my credit but my co signer is the only one on the loan so it has not been helping my credit score 1 bit.... for all future people that read this and are looking for a reliable car with warranty and want an honest sales person go to 401 auto / camp mart its just down the street and way better people to deal with, maybe if the sales people actually did what they said they did this review would have been a lot better...... im only giving 1 star because i have to give something to publish this but i didnt want to give ant...... thanks for nothing sincerely a pissed off car owner....

Test drove a truck agreed to buy, saw car proof and asked why mileage on car proof was much higher than my odometer, the manager informed me it must have been error by a quick oil change center, car proof showed no accidents. So I purchased had everything done went to pick up truck salesman asked me to sign Car proof and I noticed it was different than one shown previously. Salesman said sorry I pulled the wrong one the other day. This time it had 2 accident claims. When brought up to a different manager he offered $500 compensation after inspecting we noticed bumper wasn’t on straight. Lots more issues but this was the big one if I didn’t notice Carproof was different and signed the one handed to me I would have had a damaged vehicle without my knowledge. Ended up cancelling the deal and just buying brand new. I would never go back there now.

To date, I have been pleased with my purchase and would recommend people visiting Autopark to start (and maybe end) their search. The only item I would suggest is that they find a better way to manage the flow of their inventory. Right from the start, there was no pressure whatsoever… which is awesome… seriously! After the nightmare I had with that Infiniti QX80 (and the amount of money I lost over that thing), I was so reluctant to even look at vehicles. Absolutely BEST experience I've ever had purchasing a vehicle, I'll admit I was a bit skeptical going in because I've had quite a few negative experiences with car dealerships in the past but everything was above and beyond what I could've ever expected. From my intial contact I talked to Samantha who was extremely professional and polite, she referred me to Tyler who was amazing to deal with, Ask for him. Tyler was excellent to deal with, my sales rep. He went above and beyond communicating and helping with my purchase. The only negative thing I would say was about financing. My interest rate was much higher than I wanted and it wasn't mentioned until I was there to pick up. ( I should have visited earlier to discuss this) but I was only able to make it down to Barrie for my one appointment. (My fault) Happy with my warranty and cost. Also, they no longer fill your fuel tank up, and the purchase did not include winter tires. There wasn't alot of flexibility to negotiate and they certainly didnt give anything away. But I love my vehicle I purchased, it was ready and shining and beautiful in mint condition. Tyler was excellent and honest and forthcoming with any information. I would definitely recommend Tyler, he is an asset to the company and will do well wherever he works.

It was pleasure dealing with Tyler, and he took the time to show us a number of the special features for the Hyundai Tucson. We were looking for either a sedan or SUV as our subcompact didn't offer enough room and was not easy getting in and out. In addition to the vehicles we came in to test drive, Tyler recommended this vehicle as a family member has one and is very pleased with its performance. Also, our concern during the test drive that there was too much noise when accelerating was taken care of at the dealership with a new muffler before we took possession. All and all it was a very positive experience.
