Lie is common at Car Max Canada Superstore is that a car salesman at the dealership tells you to close the deal you need a co-signer to close Knowing your credit score helps when you hear this lie. A shady car salesman will tell you a co-signer will be necessary to purchase a vehicle. This situation arises when a consumer has a poor credit history and/or a low-paying job. Instead of rejecting your application, a dealer will look for someone in your family to purchase the car. In other words, they are looking for a buyer, not a co-signer. They will say you need a co-signer and make that person the primary owner rather than a guarantor.

These people are awesome and sincerely care about people. I was stranded at my home 350 kilometers away from calgary with a broken van,my husband was away in Saskatoon working.I had no way to go get another vehicle and my broken down one couldn't be repaired. I received a phone call from them imediatly after i put in my application that was 7pm friday night.Saturday afternoon i had a vehicle picked,approved,did paperwork via email. Monday evening at 7pm my vehicle was delivered to my door.The vehicle was everything it was claimed to be,beautiful,clean condition,mechanically sound.I did apply other places and was approved however not one place was willing to try and accomadate the fact that my husband couldn't chat on the phone as he had no cell service where he was working or that i couldn't come to calgary and sign papers,they wound all email me back at 9 pm and tell me to phone them.So i see the rating for the other dealership ,they may be the best at selling,but no human compassion,not willing to do anymore than required by their job title including calling long distance to me. So i bought from car max who sincerely cared and were 100 percent honest and had the newest vehicles for the fairest price.I would definitely recommend Chris at Car Max.????

I came into carmax auto looking to figure out why a vehicle i bought elsewhere had 16 accident hits on it and was still sold to me and i was also trying to re-build my credit rating, and the interest rate was so through the roof, so i had talked to a lady who was very kind and understanding and her name is Kimmie , she had talked to me and had me come in and we sat down and figured out what was going on and she was so Incredibly awesome!!!!! she got me out of the vehicle into another one which was very reliable and in safe condition, short story after buy the vehicle from her and getting a lower interest rate , a year later she called me again and had me come in and got me into a new vehicle with a rock bottom interest rate and took very good care of me ...... this person is so VERY TRUST WORTHY to deal with and i would send my family members to her and close friends as well.... a shout out to Kimmie . N. YOU HAVE BEEN VERY AWESOME!!!!!

When trying to work a deal he will use phrases like "shut the f$$k up" and "go close your f$$$ing customers" This man won't take a second out of his day to respect anyone. He can't even take his eyes off his computer games to talk to his own employees. I have never come in contact with such an empty hearted person, I would stay clear from this place at all costs! Jay will do whatever it takes to put a dime in his greasy pockets, even if it's rip off his clients who can barely afford a vehicle. Also I asked him to unsubscribe me from the list. So I dont get any calls in future. Never had a reply back. Once you give out your personal informations it is scattered. I've never went to there website and applied. So now this the third different car dealer trying me to finance a vehicle.

Gave a referral under the explicit notice that it was for refinancing only. Their boy Anton stated that it wasn't a problem, and that they do refinancing. Well when my friend called about it, he started the process and then said they do not do refinancing and the only thing he could do was take her car as trade, in for an older Honda, with higher km and worth far less in value with a higher rate. Don't bother unless you have great credit because if yours is low they are just out to take advantage of you.

Horrible, disrespectful, Hypocrite, liars, such awful company staff, the agent run my credit without my permission even though I spoke to him on the phone and informed him that I will not go for financing, the reason he did it because I refused to buy a car from his agency as I was looking for specific model, he was impolitely pushing to buy a car from his agency while I do not want ! so the phone call ended up not nice between us, in revenge he intended to run my credit the next as hard enquiry just to harm my credit, when I called to complain the reception was so awful rude and impolite and he refused to give me the agent, these are nothing from honesty and professionalism they behave like gang and they are ready to do illegal things for the sake of some money to make, they do not have any sense of respect for one's privacy and rights...I will be disputing their unethical immoral behavior in bureau of credit canada.

I visited the carmax today. I got unwelcome response from Kimmie Nguen. After speaking with her for few min. Without knowing what I am looking for or what type of car I own and its worth. She kept on saying that we don't have any car less than $10k at least for 3 times. She basically treated me as If, I' m a homeless guy entered their building accidentally. I am pretty sure she is very judgmental by my skin color. Not trying to accuse only her. I felt so bad by her response. Never going back. I hope management will make their people learn more in providing good customer service.

We found this place was great and was easy to deal with.. kimmie did a great job helping my father trade his suv in for the diesel truck he wanted and even is going above to make sure he was happy with his purchase and make sure the truck is and was in great shape..kimmie also help my sister in law get out of her suv that Canada drives screwed her on and get her a suv that she loves and with out any games.. Bought a truck when it showed up it didn't have the proper tailgate had a flow gate but yet the pics on the website truck had the factory tailgate carmax told me that's how they got the truck. They told me they would pay the pst for the out of province when it came time for me to plate the truck they asked if I would pay it then they would send me a cheque that was 7 weeks ago. When I call it get nothing but lies all they say is tomorrow or we will have to call back but never a return call.

What a terrible experience. I was led on and on and on for the better part of two weeks with the b.s. that these guys fed me. I had to keep calling them back to see what was happening with my file. There was always an excuse for why they had not called me back. That "approval for everyone" was a bunch of b.s. unless you want to pay 29 per cent interest. I cannot tell enough people that these ones need to be stayed clear of. They keep you hanging on, then give all excuses why they couldn't call you or whatever. I have never been treated so shoddily from a car company. I rate this company at a one, however, it doesn't even rate in my books. They need to close up shop. Please, oh please, stay clear of this company. There is lots of stuff said good about them. I am here to tell you, this company is no good. I give this company no stars because they have been stringing me along since before Christmas with the promise of a nice vehicle along with free PST and Out of Province Inspection Report. They have not been honest with me from the start about the criteria needed to qualify nor have they been clear on the timeline. My needs were never clearly addressed and they kept giving me excuses when I pressured them to move this along quicker. On top of that, the sales person, Kimmie, argued with me via texts when I made my position clear...texts which I will keep for a report to AMVIC when I am done here. I also gave them $1000 for a down payment before Christmas and now they are stalling on returning my money. I do not recommend this company to anyone trying to get a fresh start.

Steer clear of this place and make sure you know the details of your loan, ie. term length and any additional charges added on to the value of the vehicle. They take advantage of people with bad credit and who do not understand how vehicle loans work. Take your time and don't feel pressured if it doesn't feel right. My initial experience with Kimmie was great, super personable and makes it seem like she's helping you out. All around a clever sales women. I let her know that my issue was not so much the monthly payments but the cost of my insurance. She closed the deal with offering to cover 6 months of no payments and a years free insurance. This being my first vehicle loan I was super excited and all in. 2 years later I brought my car in for an appraisal to Sunridge Nissan because they had someone looking for the exact model of my car. It was then to my knowledge I had found out that she tacked on an extra $10,000 of negative equity onto my loan. I assume that is what she used to cover the free payments and insurance costs. I would have never been aware of this if it wasn't for the appraisal. Kimmie skimmed over the contract, but left out the details that would have deterred me from the sale. Now I have a car worth about $15,000 on the current market but an outstanding loan of about $23,000. If I had known then what I know now, I would have never closed a deal with Kimmie.

My car was delivered to my home when I was working so I had to go home to sign the paperwork and give them our vehicle for trade. Well after work I want to put the car seats in and there were only 5 seats. They sold us an SUV thats now to small for my family. NEVER THINK ABOUT THIS COMPANY EVER.

So here is the real truth about this dealership. I purchased a car for 18,000. So I got horrible credit, thinking I would never be abel to find a loan with less then 20% interest. I gave this company a shot and just let them do what they could do. In the end I'm left with a car worth 12000 on a 25,000 dollar loan at 8% . Witch I can pay for. But most people looking into this dealer can't and it discusting that they run there buisness this way. So if your in the same boat as me look for a better dealer this one is all about making the most money off of you.

Aaron made this whole process super easy especially with my fiance being away in Fort Mac. They even offered to deliver our new truck to him in Fort Mac free of charge! Talk about prompt service! These guys sell crap and then when called out on it they blame everyone else. I was sold a vehicle here that has $7500 in repairs and not to mention hay wire holding the front together. These guys are by far the worst.

I'm very grateful to Aaron Cymbalisty and his team for hooking my family up with a safe affordable SUV. If you're thinking about getting a vehicle go see Aaron at Carmax first. He's an honest stand up guy and I'm really happy with my purchase. I appreciate all of his hard work and dedication to get me into a larger vehicle, even though I have bad credit he was able to make it happen. I was turned away by other dealerships and felt hopeless about getting a vehicle until he called. Not only did he manage to get me into a beautiful SUV, the monthly payments are exactly on point with my budget. He never showed me vehicles out of my price range or tried to get me into payments I couldn't afford. He was always upfront with me and made things very clear. Car dealerships have a bad rep for being shady but Aaron's the real deal for anybody with bad credit hoping to get a vehicle and build their credit up. I wouldn't give my honest 5/5 if I wasn't completely satisfied. Thank you Aaron and Brian at Carmax. I'm in LOVE with my Santa Fe XL!!

Kimmie was super helpful all they way through the process. She made a difficult credit situation work for us and we got the car we asked for. We are now building credit and driving a new challenger. It was so rushed, all they wanted was for me to sign the papers, could not even take the car for a test drive told me due to taking the other SUV for a test drive it was the same. The worst experience in my life. Would not recommend them to anyone .

Don’t sign anything until you read everything. They hid information from me and then delivered the vehicle acting as though they were in a hurry. I felt rushed and signed, figuring it was the deal we had discussed. Interest rate (higher) and warranty (less) were not what I had discussed with the salesman.

Well first of all the sales team called me...once they changed to house of cars.....told me bunch of sales talk ...did a credit check with out my autheration...then when I got mad about it...same old we can help.and all that ...I don't think there finance guy knows what he is doing ...worst ever experience...told me at the end of it they could not help. Went to automaxx the following week..had a car that day......don't fall into there trap...not good people to deal with.

Say away from this place at all cost. Went in looking for a pick truck. Test drove nice truck gray, leathers seats, nice. Came back a week later and a totally new truck waiting for me, blue 1500 gmc. Ok test drove and took home a few days later. Next day truck broke down, then after that everyday it broke down. Changed to many parts to list and still broken. Sold me a lemon. I wish i could post 0 stars. STAY THE F*** AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

This company contacted me WITHOUT my permission in order to attempt to sell me a car. They had my phone number, my address, how long I had lived there, my phone number, my email address, and my date of birth. They also knew where I work, how much I make a month, and how long I had been making that wage. I repeat, I never contacted them or gave them this information. This is the most predatory business practice I have ever seen in my life. I have not been looking for a car or been applying for one. I don't know where they got this information, but I will be doing a lot more than leaving a negative review.
